Marketing is more and more frequent in two sectors, as culture and sport, which present various similitudes from the point of view of the labour conscription realization and of the consummation. Marketing is a modern science, perfectly adapted to answer, through practical action, to demands of superior accomplishment of individual or group necessities and wishes, and of economical efficiency criteria. While treating the concept of the marketing there is necessary to underline three important characteristics of each organization oriented towards the market: orientation towards the client, the integrated effort and the focalization of the purposes. The marketing department from a sports unit is considered as responsible for the new products presentation, for the apparition of favorable press articles, for the realization of market studies and for the rending of support arguments for those who deal with sale. Marketing people need to collaborate with the advertising agencies, to analyze and solve clients complaints, to establish criteria and help them choosing the new products and to organize their promotion campaigns. Therefore, the main marketing function is to present the sports unit and its products to potential customers.

Through this work, we intend to emphasize marketing as that function of the organization thatidentifies customer needs and desires, determines which markets are best served and designsadequate products, services and programs to serve these markets. It is not only a special function, but more - a philosophy that guides the entire organization. The aim of marketing is to satisfycustomers in a profitable manner, by establishing advantageous links with them. Many believe thatmarketing is synonymous with advertising or selling. They are wrong and because of this aspect wedecided to tackle this issue trying to prove that in reality, marketing activity refers not so much tosell, but rather to the knowledge of what must be produced. Submission on the market is the resultof knowing the consumer needs and of finding those solutions that through value, quality andsuperior service delight customers. Neither advertising, nor sale cannot compensate for a possiblecustomer dissatisfaction.

Samim time, trenutno su u fokusu prodavača dostava, beskontaktna kupovina i bezgotovinske transakcije. This paper aims to describe COVID-19 as a disease and the impact it has from an economic point of view. COVID-19 is a pandemic unique in economic history in terms of the speed of its occurrence, global scope and long-term and unwanted consequences. The epidemic has changed people's daily routines in ways that were unimaginable until then. This paper aims to demonstrate how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the buying habits of consumers. The paper presents a comprehensive overview of the relevant studies so far and highlights existing knowledge about the epidemiological, pathogenetic and clinical features of the virus and the disease it causes, with reference to the impact of the pandemic on marketing and sales as well as the perspective of the pandemic. The aim of this paper is to investigate and collect data, information, attitudes and opinions of respondents about their shopping habits before and during the COVID-19 pandemic with an emphasis on online shopping and card payments. With this in mind, research was conducted using a questionnaire that would indicate changes in consumer behavior, some of which will most likely have a lasting effect. The results of the research lead to conclusion that the majority of respondents, or consumers, when comparing their buying habits in the period during the COVID-19 pandemic and the period before the pandemic, are more inclined towards online shopping and using cards to pay for their purchases rather than using cash payments. Therefore, delivery, contactless shopping and cashless transactions are currently in the focus of sellers. Once the pandemic is over, it is likely to have long-lasting effects on the entire economy, but also on society as a whole.

Human health is conditioned by the quantity and quality of the consumed water, which has multiple functions in the body. Water quality is influenced by its chemical composition and the excess or the absence of certain substances that may cause several diseases. The production and marketing of mineral water in Romania is regulated in the sense that its availability on the market is only possible after receiving the approval from the National Agency for Mineral Resources (NAMR) or from a competent authority of an EU member state. The annual water consumption average in Romania is 55 litres per capita and it is at the middle of the European consumption ranking, which is, on average about, 45 litres per capita. The main brands on the Romanian market are: Borsec, Zizin, Bucovina, Poiana Negri, Izvorul Alb, Carpatina, Roua Muntilor, Perla Harghita. The production, distribution and marketing of mineral water is a business worth billions of euros, and those involved focus on quality, packaging and marketing strategies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study analyses recent trends (2006-2018) in Port and Douro wine exports and estimates their macroeconomic determinants. The results of the gravity equation reveal that the purchasing power in importing countries is the most important export determinant of Port and Douro wines. Therefore, in order to increase exports, the strategic decision-makers concerned with the industry should pay special attention to the markets in wealthier countries or with a high potential for economic growth, taking into account issues such as market access, adaptation to the market to wine consumption, and regulation.

The aim of this study is to determine what kind of sales and marketing problems farmers have in cereal production. Another aim of this research is to present expectations of the farmers and the possible practical solutions to the existing problems arising from qualitative and quantitative analyzes to the attention of those concerned. This study is of the scanning model type; it has an exploratory character. The population of the research consists of farmers who are members of Farmer Registration System in Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ. Semi-structured interview form and questionnaire were used as data collection tools.19 people were interviewed and the number of valid questionnaire was 363. Quota sampling and convenience sampling method were used for quantitative data collection and Judgemental sampling was used for quantitative data collection. The most important costs of the participants are diesel fuel, fertilizer and seed. Labor and transportation costs are rising. The most important problem of farmers in sales is the insufficiency of the figures announced per ton by the state. Another one is that the merchant buys the grains cheaply. Farmers sell their products mostly through TMO, Cooperatives and merchants. Cereal producers have to sell their post-harvest crops below their value without waiting. Producers are also experiencing problems with insects and ventilation in warehouses, as well as packaging and storage. Over the years, as farmers experience, the average annual amount of revenue they receive increases. There is no competition in cereal prices. There is no difference between cash and credit sale. Keywords: Cereals, Sale, Marketing, Tekirdağ 117

We propose a modification of Baulch's parity bounds model to measure the market integration of food markets in developing countries. Instead of extrapolating a single observation of transaction costs, we estimate transaction costs. Predicted transaction costs compare well with survey data of traders. Probabilities of market regimes, computed on the basis of predicted transaction costs, fluctuate significantly and do not support fixed regime probabilities over time. The probability of market integration with trade decreases consistently during food shortages, increasing either the probability of no trade or loss-making trade or the probability of profitable but unexploited trade opportunities. The data further support a negative trend in market integration with trade. © The Author 2012. Promjenjivost potrošačkih preferencija, promjena kupovne moći potrošača i nestabilnost konkurentske pozicije do koje dovode česte inovacije i povećanje broja konkurentnih proizvođača, čine proizvod dinamičnim instrumentom marketinga. The sale represents a set of interconnected activities which companies undertake with the purpose of the market placement of their own or other people's products or services. Variability of consumer preferences, change in purchasing power and the instability of the competitive position that are caused by frequent innovations and increasing numbers of the competing companies, make the product a dynamic marketing instrument. According to the concept of marketing the key to achieving organizational goals is to determine the needs and desires of target customers. Marketing bears the responsibility of the initial launch of the product towards the customer and affects the first contact with a potential buyer, it gives him the information and forms the awareness about the product, brand which leads to a purchase decision. In order to bring positive results to a business both functions must be coordinated.

This report shows how competition policy can help African countries boost inclusive and sustainable development. Prepared by the World Bank Group (WBG) in partnership with the African Competition Forum, the study reviews the implementation of competition frameworks in Africa and examines competition issues that affect market performance in three important sectors for Africa's competitiveness: cement, fertilizers, and telecoms. It uses the WBG's Markets and Competition Policy Assessment Tool to identify how competition rule and their enforcement could be made more effective, and to highlight economic and regulatory characteristics of cement, fertilizers and telecoms markets that dampen competition and increase the risk of anticompetitive business practices. Conservative estimates put forward by this report suggest that addressing weak competition in principle staple foods across three countries would have the effect of lifting around 500,000 people above the poverty line by lowering consumer prices. Fundamental market reforms to increase competition in key input services would also boost economic growth. For example, professional services reforms would deliver an additional 0.16–0.43 percent of additional annual gross domestic product growth. While the benefits of competition are clearly observable in Africa, considerable effort is still required to ensure effective implementation of competition laws and incorporation of competition principles in government policies.

Devolving property rights to local institutions has emerged as a compelling management strategy for natural resource management in developing countries. The use of property rights among fishing cooperatives operating in Mexico's Gulf of California provides a compelling setting for theoretical and empirical analysis. A dynamic theoretical model demonstrates how fishing cooperatives' management choices are shaped by the presence of property rights, the mobility of resources, and predictable environmental fluctuations. More aggressive management comes in the form of the cooperative leadership paying lower prices to cooperative members for their catch, as lower prices disincentivize fishing effort. The model's implications are empirically tested using three years of daily logbook data on prices and catches for three cooperatives from the Gulf of California. One cooperative enjoys property rights while the other two do not. There is empirical evidence in support of the model: compared to the other cooperatives, the cooperative with strong property rights pays members a lower price, pays especially lower prices for less mobile species, and decreases prices when environmental fluctuations cause population growth rates to fall. The results from this case study demonstrate the viability of cooperative management of resources but also point toward quantitatively important limitations created by the mismatch between the scale of a property right and the scale of a resource.

A business plan competition is conducted to test whether survey instruments or panel judges are able to identify the fastest growing firms. Participants submitted six- to eight-page business plans and defended them before a three- or four-judge panel. Applicants are surveyed shortly after they applied and one and two years after the competition. Follow-up surveys are used to construct measures of enterprise growth and baseline surveys and panel scores to construct measures of enterprise growth potential. A survey measure of ability correlates strongly with future growth, but the panel scores add to predictive power even after controlling for ability and other survey variables. The survey questions have more power to explain the variance in growth. Participants presenting before the panel were given a chance to win customized management training. Fourteen months after the training, there is no positive effect of the training on growth of the business.

Marketing models are used for the assessment of such marketing elements as sales volume, market share, market attractiveness, advertizing costs, product pushing and selling, profit, profitableness. Classification of buying process decision taking models is presented. SWOT- and GAPbased models are best for selling assessments. Lately, there is a tendency to transfer from the assessment on the ba-sis of financial indices to that on the basis of those non-financial. From the marketing viewpoint, most important are long-term company activities and consumer drawingmodels as well as market attractiveness operative models.

Policy makers around the world recognize the potentially harmful consequences of trademark counterfeiting and copyright piracy. Indeed, many countries have recently initiated policy reforms to strengthen the enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPR). Further, minimum standards of enforcement have been incorporated in many international treaties, especially trade agreements. This emphasis on enforcement raises basic questions about the actual impacts of IP rights infringement, which differ across the types of IPR and economic sectors. The authors review the academic literature and other studies in the public domain to evaluate what has been learned about these socioeconomic effects, with an emphasis on developing countries where possible. They also identify important gaps in our understanding of the consequences of counterfeiting and piracy and develop recommendations on how governments might collect data and conduct studies to better inform IPR enforcement policy.

This paper provides an overview of the impact that onetime changes in commodity and other prices have on household welfare. It begins with a collection of stylized facts related to commodities based on household survey data from Latin America and Africa. The data uncovers strong commodity dependence on both continents: households typically allocate a large fraction of their budget to commodities, and they often also depend on commodities to earn their income. This income and expenditure dependency suggests sizable impacts and adjustments following commodity price shocks. The article explores these effects with a review of the relevant literature. The authors study consumption and income responses, labor market responses, and spillovers across sectors. The paper provides evidence on the relative magnitudes of various mechanisms through which commodity prices affect household (and national) welfare in developing economies.

The sales procedure of the foreclosure goods has been taken into consideration only by judicial perspective. This is understandable in terms of subject and the purpose of the law. Nevertheless, it is a subject of buying and selling (exchange), and a matter of pricing process. This research is an examination of the selling process of foreclosure goods from the marketing point of view. There are recent studies about this issue, especially in the USA and Europe. Particularly after the crisis in the property market in 2008, the sales of houses from the foreclosure has been very popular. Initially, macro marketing, marketing systems and the process of sales of goods from foreclosure have been theoretically discussed in this study. Afterwards a subsidiary research related to the auction dates, the auction number, the type of the goods, the comparison of market prices (estimated values) with the sales prices has been conducted on 9 enforcement offices in Diyarbakır, Mardin and Siirt (Turkey) between 2010-2015. The evaluation has showed that the goods that are sold from the foreclosure between 2010-2015, are on average 29,82% cheaper than the market prices. Before the online auctions that started in 05-January-2013, the goods were sold 32% cheaper, however after that implementation, it became 28,27% cheaper. As the online auction became prominent, the foreclosure sales prices approached to the estimated values. Keywords: Macromarketing, marketing systems, marketing theory, foreclosure process, process of sales of goods from foreclosure. 314

Anahtar Kelimeler : Algılanan Satış Performansı, Bireysel Faktörler, Kurumsal Faktörler, Müşteri Odaklılık, Satış Odaklılık.ABSTRACTTHE MODERATOR ROLE of CUSTOMER and SELLING ORIENTATION WİTH RESPECT TO THE INFLUENCE of INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE FACTORS ON SALES PERFORMANCE İN ORGANIZATIONS AND A RESEARCHMarketing and sales are used as the same generally and also there is just one department called “Marketing and Sales” in many corporations. Maybe this is because selling is one of the most important purposes of marketing. Selling is the basic function that provides cash flow. Managers want to get high performance due to the selling investments. Performance is one of the key factors that drive success. Sales performance is affected by many individual, corporate and environmental factors. Cross border value chains are increasingly seen as critical for export growth, providing the conduit for more than half of developing countries exports in value-added terms. However, Africa’s contribution to cross border value chains remains low, at 1.5 percent. And African countries’ limited participation in value chains is in the lower-value, lower end stages of production. Reasons for this limited integration include infrastructure, thick borders, geographical remoteness, size, fragmentation, and the limited financial capacities and service industries of African countries.
