The paper presents a study on the magnetic characteristics of hexagonal boron nitride using Monte Carlo simulations through the Metropolis algorithm. The study used the Blume-Capel Ising model to analyze the behavior of magnetizations and susceptibilities under the effect of the temperature, mixed exchange coupling, crystalline and external magnetic fields. The results show that the blocking temperature, where the magnetic atoms become magnetically frozen, increases as the exchange coupling interaction becomes weaker and as the external magnetic field increases. The findings indicate that the blocking temperature of the system is significantly influenced by the physical parameters employed in this study. Besides, the investigation at hand could serve as a foundation for researchers to innovate novel categories of spintronics and magnetic memory devices, featuring enhanced performance and functionality. We studied some magnetic behaviors of the Ising model in a single-wall mixed spin (σ = ½, S = 1) triangular nanotube using the effective field theory with correlations (EFTC), and the differential operator technique (DOT). The effects of exchange interactions as well as the temperature and the applied field on the magnetic properties of the nanotube, such as isotherm and spontaneous magnetizations, were carefully analyzed. We demonstrated that the low-temperature behavior of the magnetization is very sensitive to the exchange interactions involved, especially in the case of competitional couplings. Besides the phase diagram, unusual phenomena have been discovered, especially for opposite exchange interactions where magnetization plateaus and frustration are observed. Several forms of ferrimagnetism have been revealed for judicious choices of exchange and single-ion anisotropy. One of the most notable effects is the occurrence of magnetization jumps and fractional plateaus due to both the geometry and the competition between exchange couplings, on the one hand, and the applied magnetic field, on the other hand. We investigated the dynamic phase transitions (DPTs) in the mixed spin (2, 5/2) Blume-Emery-Griffiths model with repulsive biquadratic interaction in the presence of a time-varying magnetic field. We used the path probability method to obtain the set of the dynamic equations. We numerically solved these dynamic equations to characterize the nature of first- and second-order phase transitions and to find the DPT temperatures as well as obtain the phases in the system. We constructed the dynamic phase diagrams (DPDs) in reduced temperature and amplitude of oscillating magnetic field plane. We observed that the DPDs display richer, complex and more topological various type of phase diagrams. In particular, DPDs exhibit the disordered phase, antiquadrupolar or staggered phase, six different ferrimagnetic phases, three different nonmagnetic phases, and numerous mixed phases. DPDs also display two dynamic tricritical points for only smaller values of crystal-field interactions, multiple critical end and double critical end points, one zero-temperature critical point, one inverse critical end point, and a quadruple point depending on interaction parameters. The system always shows the reentrant behaviors for the higher values of magnetic field amplitude, but it does not exhibit the dynamic tricritical behavior for higher values of crystal-field parameter. Using Monte Carlo simulations under the Metropolis algorithm, the magnetic properties of a Mixed Spins (3/2, 1) cubic lattice modeled by mixed spin Ising model have been investigated. First, we discuss the ground state phase diagrams at zero temperature corresponding to different parameters of the model. Then, by choosing ferrimagnetic phases found in the obtained phase diagrams, we analyze the magnetization and compensation behaviors in our system. Striking results have been found; especially, the competition between exchange coupling interactions generates a critical temperature T C and a compensation temperature T comp with T comp < T C . In this study, a bilayer zigzag graphyne nanoribbon with RKKY interaction is described using a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (2, 5/2) Ising model. The compensation behaviors and hysteresis characteristics of the system generated by various physical parameters, such as crystal fields of sublattices, interlayer exchange coupling and the intralayer exchange coupling are explored using Monte Carlo simulation. In the research results, we found that among the 30 possible spin configurations that may occur in the ground state of the system, only 21 spin configurations are stable. At the same time, under certain parameters, the system exhibit interesting behaviors such as compensation phenomena and multi-loop hysteresis. The ability to tune and control the magnetic phases of two-dimensional (2D) nanomagnets at room temperature is indispensable for the development of future spintronics and low-dimensional spin circuits. In this work, a first-principles-based investigation combined with a Monte Carlo simulation based on a 2D Ising model is used to investigate the electronic and magnetic behaviour of a recently discovered 2D material, Cr2Ge2Se6 over a large range of strain and electric field strength. This material offers ferromagnetic antiferromagnetic and semiconductor metallic phase transitions in different regimes. In the presence of strain, a colossal enhancement of the critical temperature (Tc) is observed, from 149 K to 885 K. The application of an electric field allows a further enhancement of the Tc to a value of 919 K, offering a supreme enhancement (~517%), compared to its natural condition. The origin of this behavior can be traced to a super-exchange interaction between the Cr and Se atoms and the intrinsic magnetic anisotropy of Cr2Ge2Se6. The presence of external stimuli engenders spontaneous symmetry breaking with an enhanced magnetic moment (~4.36 /Cr atom), a significant intrinsic spin polarisation (~100%) in a half-metallic regime, and a very high critical temperature. The insights of the current investigation could be useful for future developments in multi-stimuli-assisted room-temperature ferromagnetism and electronic phase control, which are of great significance for future magneto-electronic applications. The antiperovskite Co4N is studied using density functional theory (DFT) calculations and Monte Carlo (MC) simulation within the framework of the Ising model. The structural, density of states (DOS), and band structure calculations show that Co4N is a ferromagnetic material having a higher magnetic moment, a large spin polarization ratio, and exhibits a metallic behavior. The investigated elastic constants, phonon dispersion, and phonon DOS show that the Co4N compound is mechanically and dynamically stable. It is also found that the Co4N is ductile from the Poisson's ratio, Pugh's ratio, and Cauchy pressure. The thermodynamic parameters like heat capacity, Debye and melting temperature are calculated. The magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, and the Curie temperature of magnetic transition are estimated using MC simulations based on the Ising model. • YFeO 3 have been studied with GGA and GGA+U reveal a semi-conductor and an Antiferromagnetic type-G behavior. • Magnetic anisotropy results for both approximations show that easy axis magnetization for YFeO 3 is along the c-axis. • Evaluation of the electric polarization and the magnetic transition temperature of the orthorhombic YFeO 3 has done. In this study, we have thoroughly investigated the electronic, magnetic, and electrical properties of yttrium orthoferrite using density functional theory (DFT) within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and the (GGA + U) approach, which incorporates the Hubbard term (U). Both approximations consistently reveal a semiconductor behavior and an antiferromagnetic behavior of type-G between the iron (Fe) ions. To delve deeper into the magnetic interactions within YFeO 3 , we have proposed a physical model. This model allows us to calculate the magnetic exchange coupling and magnetic anisotropy parameters through DFT calculations. Additionally, we have conducted computations to determine the electric polarization. Our results have shown that the electric polarization in YFeO 3 is exclusively derived from electronic polarization. We have also explored the relationship between the direction of electric polarization and the easy-axis magnetization. In our investigation, we found that both the electric polarization and easy-axis magnetization align along the c-axis in both approximations. Furthermore, we have examined the influence of the Hubbard term on the direction of polarization. To assess the magnetic temperature transition, we employed Monte Carlo simulations using the Ising model. The critical temperature, denoted as T N , obtained with the GGA approximation is found to be 726.66 K. We studied the compensation behavior, the reentrant phenomena characterizing first order phase transitions, and the exchange bias effect manifested by asymmetric hysteresis loops for a core–shell nanotube with mixed spin (1 , 3 / 2) by combining both the effective field theory and the probability distribution technique. Since our system is intended to be disordered on the shell, a uniform distribution for the exchange anisotropy proposed. Among the interesting results are the compensation behavior in the ideal and disordered cases, where we noticed a critical behavior manifested by total magnetization persistence, the compensation behavior accompanied by the reentrant phenomena, as well as the multi-loops behavior, exchange bias effect, and magnetic susceptibility. We have employed first-principles calculations of density functional theory (DFT) with GGA and GGA+U exchange correlation to study structural, magnetic, and electronic properties of chromium nitride (CrN) in the rock salt (NaCl) structures. The obtained data from DFT calculations is used as an input in high-temperature series expansions (HTSEs) combined with the Padé approximants (PA) method and Monte Carlo simulation (MC) for the Ising model to investigate the magnetic properties of CrN. The obtained results show that CrN is more stable in the antiferromagnetic order, and undergoes structural and magnetic transitions from an antiferromagnetic NaCl structure to a nonmagnetic Pnma phase at 201 GPa. The density of states (DOS) with GGA approach shows that CrN has a metallic behavior in both FM and AFM configurations whereas with GGA+U CrN is semiconductor in AFM and half-metallic in FM order. A mixed-spin (5/2, 3/2) Ising model is established to describe the antiferroelectric/ferroelectric (AFE/FE) BiFeO 3 /Co bilayer structure. We study the effects of the crystal field, exchange coupling and external longitudinal electric field on the dielectric properties of the bilayer based on Monte Carlo simulation. We illustrate the temperature dependence of polarization, susceptibility, internal energy and specific heat of the system in detail. As well, we depict the phase diagram and point out the rule of the blocking temperature with various parameters. In particular, we find rich and interesting multi-cycle electric hysteresis behaviors. In this work, the phase transitions, for a molecular-based magnet, are examined using mean field method (MFM). The longitudinal magnetizations can be achieved by minimizing the free energy is an interesting function for locating and induction of spin compensation temperatures as well. In this paper, we have studied the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of the cubic perovskite system Mn4N using the first principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) with the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The obtained data from DFT calculations are used as input data in Monte Carlo simulation with a mixed spin-5/2 and 1 Ising model to calculate the magnetic properties of this compound, such as the total, partial thermal magnetization, and the critical temperatures (TC). Critical behavior and magnetic properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (symbolized as LS33MO) have been studied by means of Monte Carlo simulation (MCS). By using the heat-bath algorithm and the Ising model up to third nearest neighbor exchange interactions, we have computed the magnetic and magneto-caloric properties. The effects of the temperature (T) and the external magnetic field (h) on the magnetic behavior of LS33MO have been discussed. The results demonstrate that the Curie temperature (TC) is close to the experimental value. The magnetic entropy shows a maximum value around TC which increases linearly with the rise of the external field h. For h = 5T, the maximum entropy (∆ S m max ) is about 3.67 J K−1 kg−1 which is in good agreement with the experimental results. The relative cooling power (RCP) has been estimated and it has been found that it increases with respect to the external field. The predicted critical behavior has been studied by isothermal magnetization of LS33MO nanoparticle compound. The critical exponents (Crt.Exps) are determined by various approaches, such as the modified Arrott plot (AP) and critical isotherm ways. Therefore, the Crt.Exp values obtained by different techniques are β = 0.306, γ = 1.178, and δ = 4.025 respectively. In the presence of the crystal field D/JCore and the external magnetic field h/JCore, using the Monte Carlo (MC) simulation based on the heat bath algorithm and the effective field theory (EFT), the triangular mixed spin nanowire model consisting of a spin-(1/2) core which is encircled by a spin-1 ferrimagnetic surface shell is studied. In this work, the Effective Field Theory (EFT) based on the probability distribution method is used to study the phase diagrams of an antiferroelectric nanowire with core/shell morphology, in the presence of a random transverse field. We have investigated the effects of the temperature, the concentration c , the surface and the interfacial couplings on the critical and the compensation behaviors (T c and T comp) of the system. The polarization, the susceptibility and the pyroelectric coefficient as a function of the temperature are examined. In addition, the phase diagrams of the nanowire are investigated in detail by modifying the system parameters. Abstract Based on the Ising model, the magnetic and thermodynamic properties of a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1/2, 1, 3/2) nanoisland with a double-layer quadrangle core-shell structure has been investigated by Monte Carlo simulation. The magnetization of the total system and three sublattices, susceptibility, blocking temperature, internal energy and hysteresis loops have been discussed in detail. The phase diagrams of the T B under the influence of various parameters have been given. We have obtained the critical exponents β and γ for the system. Multiple hysteresis loops behaviors such as single, triple, quintuple and septuple loops have been found, originating from the competitions among various parameters. A mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Ising ferrimagnetic system is investigated on a square lattice of spins S = ± 2 , ± 1 , 0 and Q = ± 1 , 0 in the presence of an h ′ external magnetic field, such that S and Q are nearest-neighbors antiferromagnetically coupled. Using Monte Carlo simulations we calculate the finite temperature phase diagrams of the magnetization and the specific heat. We consider ferromagnetic interactions between next-nearest neighbors, S spins ( J 2 ′ ), as well as between the Q spins ( J 3 ′ ), and crystal field and external magnetic field interactions at each point of the lattice. Under these conditions the system exhibits spin compensation temperatures and a first-order reentrant behavior in a certain range of the parameters of the Hamiltonian. We analyze the behavior of the critical and compensation temperatures, as well as the first order phase transition temperatures, with the external magnetic and crystal fields, and the next-nearest neighbors interaction between S spins. The magnetic properties of the mixed spin-1 and spin-5/2 Ising ferrimagnetic model on a hexagonal lattice have been studied using the Monte Carlo simulations. Monte Carlo simulation is used to study the magnetic properties of mixed spin (3/2, 1) disordered binary alloys on simple cubic, hexagonal and amorphous magnetic ultra-thin films with 18 × 18 × 2 atoms. To this end, at the first approximation, the exchange coupling interaction between the spins is considered as a constant value and at the second one, the Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida (RKKY) model is used. Effects of concentration, structure, exchange interaction, single ion-anisotropy and the film size on the magnetic properties of disordered ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic binary alloys are investigated. Our results indicate that the spontaneous magnetization and critical temperatures of rare earth-3 d transition binary alloys are affected by these parameters. The magnetic properties of the mixed spin ... and spin ... Ising model with a crystal-field in a longitudinal magnetic field are investigated on the Bethe lattice using exact recursion relations. The ground-state phase diagram is constructed. The temperature-dependent one is displayed in the case of uniform crystal-field on the (kgT/|J|, D/|J|) plane in the absence of the external constraint for lattice coordination numbers z = 3,4, 6. Thermodynamic and magnetic properties of a trilayer nanostructure of hexagonal lattices described by the spin-1/2 Ising model are investigated by the use of the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations. The magnetic properties of multilayered with alternating magnetic wires with the mixed spins-2 and 5/2 ferrimagnetic Ising model have been studied using the Monte Carlo simulations. Magnetic properties of mixed spin (3/2, 1, 1/2) ferro-ferrimagnetic ternary alloys of the type A y ( B x C 1 − x ) 1 − y are investigated, by means of the Monte Carlo simulation. For this purpose, the influence of concentration, temperature and an external magnetic field on magnetization, magnetic hysteresis loop, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of ternary alloys with amorphous structures are examined. We found that the compensation temperature exists for some concentrations. Also, it is observed that these ferrimagnetic ternary alloys indicate double hysteresis loop which have been seen theoretically and experimentally in different magnetic alloys. We investigate the magnetic properties of the mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnetic system with four-spin interactionJ4and next-nearest neighbor (NNN) couplingJ′. We perform exact ground-state calculations and use the finite cluster approximation, based on a single cluster theory, to derive the state equations for the two-dimensional square lattice. The main attention has been paid to the study of the phase diagram for both the transition and compensation temperatures. We find a number of characteristic behaviors. The model with only NNNs induces one compensation point while the four-spin interaction does not. The investigation of the model with both interactions shows a number of characteristic behaviors. In particular, the presence of the four-spin interaction, according toJ4andJ′, may lead to one, two or possibly a continuum of compensation points. We study the thermodynamic and magnetic properties of an Ising bilayer ferrimagnet. The system is composed of two interacting non-equivalent planes in which the intralayer couplings are ferromagnetic while the interlayer interactions are antiferromagnetic. Moreover, one of the planes is randomly diluted. The study is carried out within a Monte Carlo approach employing the multiple histogram reweighting method and finite-size scaling tools. The occurrence of a compensation phenomenon is verified and the compensation temperature, as well as the critical temperature for the model, are obtained as functions of the Hamiltonian parameters. We present a detailed discussion of the regions of the parameter space where the compensation effect is present or absent. Our results are then compared to a mean-field-like approximation applied to the same model by Balcerzak and Szałowski (2014). By using the effective field theory (EFT), the mixed spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 Ising ferrimagnetic model adapted to a double perovskite structure has been studied. The EFT calculations have been carried out from Ising Hamiltonian by taking into account first and second nearest-neighbors interactions and the crystal and external magnetic fields. Both first- and second-order phase transitions have been found in phase diagrams of interest. Depending on crystal-field values, the thermodynamic behavior of total magnetization indicated the compensation phenomenon existence. The hysteresis behaviors are studied by investigating the reduced magnetic field dependence of total magnetization and a series of hysteresis loops are shown for different reduced temperatures around the critical one. A hexagonal nanowire consisting of a ferromagnetic spin– 1 2 core and spin– 3 2 outer shell coupled with ferrimagnetic interlayer coupling has been studied by the use of the Monte Carlo simulation based on the heat bath algorithm. Particular emphasis is given to the effects of the size, the crystal field, the shell and the interface coupling constants on the critical and the compensation phenomenon. Some interesting behaviors have been observed which include the first and second order phase transitions. The isolated critical points are also observed. Monte Carlo simulation has been performed in detail to study magnetic and thermodynamic properties of a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1, 3/2) cylindrical Ising nanowire with core-shell structure. The ground phase diagrams are obtained for different single-ion anisotropies. The system can display rich phase transitions such as the second- and first-order phase transitions, the tricritical points and the compensation points. Especially, emphasis has been given to the effects of the single-ion anisotropy and the temperate on the magnetization, the internal energy, the specific heat, the compensation points and hysteresis loops of the system as well as two sublattices. A number of characteristic phenomena such as such as various types of magnetization curves and triple, duadruple as well as quintuple hysteresis loops behaviors have been observed for certain physical parameters, originating from the competitions among the anisotropies, temperature and the longitudinal magnetic field. It is found that the single-ion anisotropy and the temperature strongly affect the coercivity and the remanence of the system. The phase diagrams and magnetizations of Ising nanowires with simple core–shell structure are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. A lot of characteristic behaviors observed in ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic materials as well as novel phenomena have been obtained, although one section of the system is consisted of one spin-1/2 surface shell atom and one spin-1/2 core atom and they are coupled with a positive or a negative shell–core exchange interaction. The probability distribution technique, exploited within the framework of effective field theory and the Ising model, was used to study the magnetic and thermal properties of a nanowire assimilated to a hexagonal shaped system of a core–shell structure and with mixed spins (3 / 2 , 2) , respectively. The coupling between core and shell is ferrimagnetic. Under certain physical parameter values, the nanowire exhibits the compensation behavior. The hysteresis behavior was investigated in the presence of an external magnetic field by magnetizing and demagnetizing the nanowire, as well as the effects of single ion anisotropy, ferrimagnetic exchange interactions and temperature on hysteresis loops. The dependence of the shapes of loops on the physical parameters of the system has been elucidated. At low temperatures, the nanowire exhibits triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple, septuple and nonuple hysteresis loop behaviors, which have important technological applications. Furthermore, the thermodynamic properties of the nanowire was also studied by evaluating the susceptibility, the internal energy and specific heat for a variety of system physical parameters. • The mixed spin Ising model is generally used as a modeling tool to study ferrimagnetism. • Monte Carlo simulation to study the critical and the compensation behaviors of a cubic lattice considering a mixed spin- 3/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnetic model. • The presence of crystal and external magnetic fields is not sufficient to generate the compensation phenomenon in a mixed spins. In this study, we perform Monte Carlo simulations to study the magnetic properties of a mixed Ising model on a cubic lattice where spins S i A = 1 and σ J B = 3/2 are located in sublattice A and B, respectively. The proposed Hamiltonian includes coupling to nearest-neighbors interactions, next-nearest-neighbors interactions, crystal fields D S and D σ and external magnetic field h. We perform exact ground-state calculations for our model. The obtained results show the behavior of the critical temperature with the presence of the compensation temperatures under a certain range of parameters. Particularly, we found that the existence of compensation temperatures depends on the strength of the coupling to the next nearest neighbors between the S i A spins and between the σ J B spins, and it appears in a certain range of values of the external magnetic and crystal field of different spins. A Monte Carlo simulation based on Metropolis algorithm has been used to investigate the magnetic properties of an Ising ferrimagnetic nanowire on a hexagonal structure, which is made up with L alternate layers of spins σ = ±3/2, ±1/2 and S = ±1, 0. The critical behaviors are studied, in the absence as well as in the presence of crystal field interactions. The obtained results show the existence of some interesting phenomena, such as the appearance of different types of phase diagrams. We study the mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 ferrimagnetic Ising system under the effect of different random crystal-fields within the mean-field theory based on the Bogoliubov inequality for the Gibbs free energy. We performed the Monte Carlo simulation (MCs) in order to study the magnetic properties and the critical behavior of Sr 2 CrMoO 6 . Within this magnetic oxide, the Cr 3+ and Mo 5+ ions form two interpenetrating ferromagnetic sublattices with opposite spins directions (Cr 3 + up and Mo 5+ down). The exchange interaction between these sublattices is assumed to be ferrimagnetic. The effects of the system parameters on critical temperatures and as a result on the phase diagrams are shown by using reduced values of parameters. The phase transitions and the magnetic stability are investigated in the framework of Ising model. For specific values of the system parameters, the existence of a compensation point is shown. Furthermore, to investigate the critical behavior, the critical exponents are calculated, they indicate that the compound belongs to a three dimensional Ising universality class. In this study we used the path probability method (PPM) to calculate the dynamic phase diagrams of a ferrimagnetic mixed spin-(1/2, 1) Ising system under an oscillating magnetic field. One of the main advantages of the PPM over the mean-field approximation and the effective-field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics is that it contains two rate constants which are very important for studying dynamic behaviors. We present the dynamic phase diagrams in the reduced magnetic field amplitude and reduced temperature plane and the twelve main different topological types of the phase diagrams are obtained. The phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p), ferrimagnetic (i) and i + p mixed phases. They also exhibit a dynamic tricritical and reentrant behavior as well as the dynamic double critical end point (B), critical end point (E), quadruple point (QP) and triple point (TP). The dynamic phase diagrams are compared and discussed with the phase diagrams obtained in previous works within the mean-field approximation and the effective-field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. Nonequilibrium phase transition properties of a mixed Ising ferrimagnetic model consisting of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 on a square lattice under the existence of a time dependent oscillating magnetic field have been investigated by making use of Monte Carlo simulations with a single-spin flip Metropolis algorithm. A complete picture of dynamic phase boundary and magnetization profiles have been illustrated and the conditions of a dynamic compensation behavior have been discussed in detail. According to our simulation results, the considered system does not point out a dynamic compensation behavior, when it only includes the nearest-neighbor interaction, single-ion anisotropy and an oscillating magnetic field source. As the next-nearest-neighbor interaction between the spins-1/2 takes into account and exceeds a characteristic value which sensitively depends upon values of single-ion anisotropy and only of amplitude of external magnetic field, a dynamic compensation behavior occurs in the system. Finally, it is reported that it has not been found any evidence of dynamically first-order phase transition between dynamically ordered and disordered phases, which conflicts with the recently published molecular field investigation, for a wide range of selected system parameters. Keskin and Ertaş (2009) presented a study of the magnetic properties of a mixed spin (2, 5/2) ferrimagnetic Ising model within an oscillating magnetic field. They employed dynamic mean-field calculations to find the dynamic phase transition temperatures, the dynamic compensation points of the model and to present the dynamic phase diagrams. In this work, we extend the study and investigate the dynamic hysteresis behaviors for the two-dimensional (2D) mixed spin (2, 5/2) ferrimagnetic Ising model on a hexagonal lattice in an oscillating magnetic field within the framework of dynamic mean-field calculations. The dynamic hysteresis curves are obtained for both the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions and the effects of the Hamiltonian parameters on the dynamic hysteresis behaviors are discussed in detail. The thermal behaviors of the coercivity and remanent magnetizations are also investigated. The results are compared with some theoretical and experimental works and a qualitatively good agreement is found. Finally, the dynamic phase diagrams depending on the frequency of an oscillating magnetic field in the plane of the reduced temperature versus magnetic field amplitude is examined and it is found that the dynamic phase diagrams display richer dynamic critical behavior for higher values of frequency than for lower values. The effective-field theory with correlations based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamic is used to study the dynamic compensation behavior of the mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 ferrimagnetic Ising model. The system is a layered honeycomb structure in which two kinds of spins (spin-1 and spin-3/2) occupy sites alternately. This is related to the experimental works of a molecular-based magnetic multilayer film, AM II Fe II ( C 2 O 4 ) 3 ( A = N ( n − C n H 2 n + 1 ) 4 , M II = Mn,Fe ) . The system is in the presence of a sinusoidal oscillating magnetic field and the Glauber dynamic is used to describe the time evolution of the system. The effects of the interlayer coupling and a crystal-field constant of the spin-1 sublattice on the compensation temperature are investigated. Dynamic phase diagrams, including the compensation points are presented. Besides second-order phase transition, lines of first-order phase transition, the dynamic tricritical point, the dynamic zero-temperature critical point and the multicritical point are found. The mixed spin-1/2 Ising model and spin-1 Blume–Capel model in an hexagonal nanowire structure under the presence of crystal field is considered. The free energy is obtained through the transfer matrix technique, which is solved numerically. Our main result lies in the presence of pseudo-transition in low temperature region near the ferrimagnetic/ferromagnetic boundary, due to the influence of a crystal field. The evidence of a pseudo-transition is observed in several quantities. Free energy first derivative quantities like entropy and internal energy show an abrupt but continuous jump, whereas quantities associated with second derivatives of the free energy like the specific heat exhibit a strong sharp peak, quite similar to a second order phase transition. We also investigate magnetization patterns and do not find evidence of spontaneous magnetization. Using the effective field theory with a probability distribution technique that accounts for the self-spin correlation function, the thermal and the magnetic properties of a single Ising nanoparticle consisting of a ferromagnetic core, a ferromagnetic surface shell and a ferrimagnetic interface coupling are examined. The effect of the transverse field in the surface shell, the exchange interactions between core/shell and in surface shell on the free energy, thermal magnetization, specific heat and susceptibility are studied. An effective field method has been employed to study the magnetic properties of a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin Ising trilayer nanographene structure. The system is formed by alternate layers of two different spins atoms A (spin-1) and B (spin-½) arranged in a particular fashion A – B – A for which the nearest-neighbor spins of each layer are coupled ferromagnetically (J A and J B), whereas the cross atom interaction A - B (interlayer) is antiferromagnetic (J AB). We examined the effects of interlayer (or intra-layer) exchange coupling and single-ion anisotropy on the magnetization curves of the system. We found that the antiferromagnetic inter-layers (J AB < 0) coupling and the single-ion anisotropy have a dominant factor in the occurrence of the single or the double compensation temperature. We also deeply examined the occurrence of hysteresis loops and their various unusual forms. The results obtained are discussed in detail as a function of the main parameters of the magnetic Hamiltonian.
