India's growing economy and population proves its significant stake in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution. India's education and technology sector has grown exponentially over the last few years, particularly in times of COVID-19 pandemic but owing to various reasons, it is accessible to only one in four students in India. AI has proven to be of benefit to all stakeholders alike by (a) enhancing teachers' efficiency and effectiveness in managing Multi Levelled or Multi Graded Learning Units and enabling automated development of customised teaching content; (b) using Intelligent Tutoring Systems to tailor the learning materials to a child's level of competence, style and pace of learning for improving student interactivity and attention rates; and (c) for effective teacher posting and transfer systems and predicting likely student activities such as dropout rates in government schools. The research provides a comprehensive review of the rigorous inclusion of AI in India's education sector through various policy measures. According to the findings, AI increases the efficiency of grading and encourages critical thinking and analytical skills among students. Further studies can assess effective integration of AI with educational practices and policies to increase learning needs.

The technology-supported education systems seamlessly integrated throughout the globe in response to the demands of post COVID-19 pandemic. The swift developments of the digital tools with Artificial Intelligence (AI) support are also readily diffused among the educational communities. This research paper investigates the synergistic impact of digital literacy, the incorporation of AI tools, and Peer Supported Collaborative Learning (PSCL) on the learning perceptions of university students. The research aims to discern the implications of these technological and social facets on students' attitudes towards AI assisted learning process. Structured questionnaire-based survey among the University students were done for this descriptive research. 409 responses collected were analysed with SPSS, Excel and Process Macro. It is found that the students' Digital Literacy, Use of AI tools and PSCL on AI assisted learning were positively correlated. The partial mediatory path through the PSCL and AI tool usage has a significant positive influence on students learning process. The insights gathered from this study can inform educators, policymakers, and institutions on optimizing the amalgamation of digital literacy, AI tools and PSCL to enhance the contemporary learning environment. As universities navigate the digital age, this research provides a nuanced understanding of the dynamics shaping students' perceptions, offering valuable insights into the multifaceted aspects of AI influencing the educational landscape.

The period of a child's growth and development that is most notable is from 0 to 8 years old. These are the years when all that is learned is laid down. Putting strong foundations in place today will yield big dividends later. Greater learning in the classroom and better educational results have a positive social and economic impact on society. Children who get early childhood education (ECE) have a strong foundation, which increases the effectiveness and productivity of every subsequent educational stage. The goal of the current study was to determine the pre-primary teachers' level of awareness regarding early childhood education, given their critical position in the field. To determine the level of knowledge of early childhood education (ECE) among teachers employed in pre-primary institutions in Bengaluru city, the study used a survey approach and a custom application. A sample of 106 teachers were drawn through cluster sampling. The study found out that the demographic variables like locality, marital status and teaching experience have no influence on the awareness of ECE among pre-primary teachers. The study found that 10% of teachers have average awareness, 31% have good awareness, 37% have very good awareness and 22% have excellent awareness of ECE. Thus, close to 90% of them are found to have better awareness of ECE. This means that preprimary teachers are well aware of the nature, learning needs etc. of children and also methodology of teaching and evaluation. In spite of better awareness of ECE found in teachers, the study comes out with few of educational implications in order to regulate and sustain the awareness of ECE among them and also in proper handling of children.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the disruption of classroom activities and adoption of online teaching-learning in almost all parts of the globe, including India. The sudden switch from classroom blackboards to laptop screens may have influenced students' study approaches, especially with challenges related to technology access and readiness for online learning among Indian students. Since different social and economic factors bring about differences in students' learning, an online survey was conducted with 296 randomly selected undergraduate distance learning (DL) students at Indira Gandhi National Open University to examine how technology access during the pandemic influenced the study approaches of Indian DL students from various marginalized and non-marginalized groups. The research results showed that marginalized students had lower access to technology than did their non-marginalized counterparts, although no gender differences were found in access to technology in both the groups. Lower access to technology was associated with a surface approach to study among the DL students in general and the marginalized students in particular. Females in the marginalized group were found to be at risk in terms of both access to technology and study approaches. The findings were intended to enrich our understanding of the role of technology vis-à-vis distance learners' study approaches during the pandemic and formulate appropriate teaching-learning strategies for the future.

This study focused on the perception of the students on entrepreneurship education. Entrepreneurship education is considered an effective tool for influencing students' learning orientation and expression. This study examined the effects of entrepreneurship education and learning on the entrepreneurial implementation intentions of students at the Universities. This study employed an explanatory method. For the study, 600 questionnaires were collected from north Indian university students. Multiple regression was used for the analysis of the study. The results showed that teaching methods significantly impact entrepreneurship stimulate students' interest and enhance students' knowledge innovation for business start-ups. The findings of the analysis also revealed that practical activities are mainly based on vocational skill activities, the teaching methods should contain extensive attention to critical thinking and idea generation activities as graded mechanisms of the degree program. It was also recommended that engagement of students with entrepreneurial development initiatives provided by institutions should involve students across all degree levels. Therefore, to increase the prospect of assignation in entrepreneurial activities after graduation students should generate viable business ideas, identify market gaps, engage in business startups, and practical business plans, and engage in invention and innovations. The paper examines how new age pedagogies and neoliberal policies consciously work towards "naturalizing" English language's hegemony in institutions of Higher Education (IHE) in India. An ethnographic study the paper foregrounds the precarious positioning of non-English Indian languages "vis-à-vis" the pervading discourses of internationalization and education as job/skill oriented. Hegemony of English in the present is coupled with a restructuring of language departments as well as fleeting market demands for human capital. The paper also brings into question the role of the Internet and related technologies in reorganizing the linguistic dynamics of HE. Instead of democratizing, the Internet produces new monopolies in knowledge production, controls knowledge traffic from global North to South and further legitimizes the language hegemony. The paper argues that, in the last two decades, the neoliberal rupture has been leading HE institutions to a death of vernaculars within their physical, cultural and academic spaces.

As universities shifted to online education with the onset of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, both pedagogy and assessment patterns across disciplines underwent a change, with a shift towards collaborative digital assessments. In this context, using qualitative and quantitative methods for data collection from an assessment conducted for 55 students who worked in groups to create YouTube videos on pre-selected modules, our analysis reveals that this assessment tool had a significant impact on peer learning, motivation and group dynamics. Students were more motivated to learn and share their learning, and they could also successfully engage in recognising and addressing group dynamics, thereby cultivating more than just subject knowledge. This finding aligns with existing scholarship and the paper adds to research about pedagogy and assessment via digital education in the Indian context, which is still upcoming.

This study examines the direct and indirect effects of some affective constructs, such as self-efficacy (SE), mathematics anxiety (MA) and mathematics interest (MI) on algebraic problem solving achievement (PSA). The sample of the study consists of 400 class IX secondary school students in Morigaon district of Assam, India. The instruments employed in this investigation were the SE scale, the MA scale, the MI scale and the algebraic PSA test. The relationship between affective constructs and PSA in algebra is investigated using two-stage structural equation modeling. The results reveal that SE is the only affective construct that had a direct effect on algebraic PSA, while MI has an indirect effect on algebraic PSA through SE. Also, MA has an indirect effect on algebraic PSA through MI and SE. The findings suggested that mathematics educator should adopt innovative strategies to make the subject matter more interesting and increase students' self-efficacy, which may reduce math anxiety. These will assist the students in enhancing their problem-solving abilities and their achievement.

Inclusive education has grown into a worldwide process of educating all students, confirming a commitment to universal guidelines and values of inclusiveness and diversity. It involves recognizing and eliminating roadblocks that limits students, especially disadvantaged ones, from participating and flourishing in their endeavors. More importantly, the complexities of diversity concerns have improved as the concept of inclusive education has shifted its emphasis from facilitating children with disabilities towards educating all students. Inclusive pedagogy serves EVERY learner with individual differences, engaging everyone despite their socioeconomic status, capacities, native tongue, cultural background, religion, gender, racial background, disabilities etc. promotes their worth, egalitarianism, and equity for everyone. It supports and values everyone who participates in a classroom and acknowledges that we all learn from one another even the teacher, who can learn from the students. Inclusive pedagogy welcomes various cultures, creates suitable atmospheres for the interaction of div ew erse opinions, and assigns different tasks that require students to reflect thoughtfully regarding equitable and multicultural issues. Government initiatives and policy serves as the best practices for the nation. As beautifully quoted by Kothari Commission (1964-66), 'Destiny of a nation is shaped in its classroom'. Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) in 2004, students of differently-able are to be enlightened in an atmosphere that is least restrictive (LRE) alongside classmates without special needs in the nearby schools to fullest extent with appropriate measures in educational system. Certain Pedagogical Practices can be employed in the classroom instead of just teaching syllabus through talk-chalk method to cater the needs of everyone in order to develop them fully so that they ALL can become future contributors of the society, nation and world. A promising approach with utmost dedication towards these future generations has to be implemented religiously by mentors every day in the classroom to uplift them, energized them towards their own goals by not following the traditional approach 'One Size Fits All'.

This article examines the independent and interaction influence of organizational climate and the type of autonomous colleges on the academic performance of students. Organizational climate encompasses various elements such as leadership styles, communication patterns, and staff morale, collectively shaping the institutional environment. Autonomous colleges, with their capacity for innovation in curriculum design, pedagogical methods, and assessment practices, provide a unique context for this analysis. To explore the effect, researchers employed a quantitative approach, surveying 480 students across 12 colleges (both government and non-government) in Odisha, India. Questionnaires assessed student perceptions of organizational climate and academic achievement. Additionally, researchers collected student result sheets and surveyed college staff to gain a well-rounded perspective on the college climate. Data analysis using ANOVA and Scheffe tests identified significant effects. Major Findings of the study confirm that a positive organizational climate, regardless of college type, is associated with higher student academic achievement. Interestingly, students in government autonomous colleges achieved higher scores than those in non-government ones. The most significant finding, however, is the interaction effect. Students in government autonomous colleges with a strong learning environment achieved the highest scores, while those in non-government autonomous colleges with a weak environment achieved the lowest.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the various classroom management Strategies used by different school teachers in India. Objectives: In this study researcher wants to find out comparisons on various dimensions of the classroom management strategies. Also, find out that which type of school is better in classroom management between Institutional Type, locality and Level of Education. Design: In this Study, a quantitative research approach was used. The descriptive research method was applied in this strategy. The researcher employed the survey method to gather data from the respondents for the descriptive approach. Chi-square test statistics is employed as analysis techniques. In this study there were 292 teachers employed as sample. The researcher selected the sample by Purposive random sampling technique. Conclusions: The data shows that difference between classroom management strategies used in different Indian schools. It's concluded that Private, Urban and Secondary level Indian schools have better classroom management strategies than other school.

This study considers the experience of education abroad alumni through a social justice lens. We leverage literature that places systemic change at the fore, underscoring the importance of addressing deeply ingrained attitudes, behaviors, and perceptions that perpetuate systemic inequalities or hinder progress. Practitioners and scholars have called into question the problematic, essentialist roots of study abroad while advocating for increased accessibility to education abroad. Building upon this priority, this article is oriented with a critical consciousness framework. The findings show the profound transformative impact of the study abroad experience on the personal lives of alumni, the level of career integration in their professional development, and the direct correlation between program design as it relates to social justice orientations. This project addresses a gap in the scholarship by focusing on longitudinal, qualitative data for action and the influence of alumni in increasing access to education abroad for the next generation.

Floods cause extensive damage in high-income countries, including the United States, but problems are more severe in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) that lack preventative and mitigating infrastructure. Marginalized children's education in LMICs might be particularly vulnerable. Using the Indian Human Development Survey, we investigate flood exposure implications for the education of school-age rural children, paying particular attention to children from marginalized groups. Results show that lower-caste Hindu, Muslim, and poorer children with less-educated parents in agricultural households are more likely to experience flooding. Interactions between flooding and marginalization characteristics indicate that flood exposure is associated with disproportionately negative learning outcomes for girls and that economic resources may mitigate flood exposure effects on delayed school progress. While greater exposures for marginalized groups are concerning, the limited number and modest magnitudes of documented negative effect heterogeneities for marginalized children are somewhat better news.

Purpose: This article examines the use of English medium instruction (EMI) for teaching Japanese as a foreign language (JFL) by non-native speakers with a focus on multilingual classrooms. It also explores teachers' positive and negative beliefs about using EMI in classroom settings for JFL instruction. Methods and procedure: 274 non-native Japanese language teachers from around the world (57 countries) voluntarily participated in a survey, answering a questionnaire on Google Forms and Jotform. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were employed. The research instrument was piloted before the main study and was found to be effective and adequate to elicit the desired data. The research questions aimed to identify whether there were any relationships between the use of EMI and the multilingual classroom. Findings: The results showed a clear correlation between the extensive use of EMI and the multilingual character of JFL classrooms. Translanguaging turned out to be a common practice adopted by non-native Japanese teachers regardless of the primary language of instruction. The article concludes that EMI can be a valuable tool for JFL instruction in multilingual classrooms. Based on the investigation of the teachers' beliefs, the results showed a changing positive attitude towards English employed in JFL classrooms. Implications for research and practice: The findings can be used to further investigate EMI in JFL instructional practices in multilingual classrooms, improve the quality of JFL instruction and facilitate the integration of multilingual education into foreign language teaching. Future research can explore the effectiveness of EMI in different JFL contexts and investigate the impact of EMI on students' language learning outcomes.

This paper reports the findings from a pre- and post-survey of participants and interviews with a small number of course members. A three-day course of training in qualitative research methods was delivered to a cohort of inexperienced researchers, all of whom were working in the field of special educational needs and disability, in Kolkata, India. The study examines the effectiveness of the training, taking into account the teaching methods used and the structure of the workshop. The findings suggest that emerging researchers prefer a hands-on workshop approach to more traditional lecture delivery of research training. The levels of support provided by tutors and the interaction with practical activities using bespoke resources found favour with participants. Following the training workshop, members expressed greater confidence in their ability to use qualitative research methods and understood the relation of this approach to quantitative studies. Some who completed the course have begun to conduct independent research investigations using the methods taught.

Students generally consider scholastic achievement to be the grade they receive after a period of specific instruction. Researchers evaluate a person's scholastic achievement based on the knowledge and skills they have developed in the academic domain, as well as the test results they have obtained. Scholastic achievement is one of the critical parameters to measure affluence; therefore, researchers are keen to investigate the various dimensions that are going to affect it directly or indirectly. The present study focuses on analyzing the distinct dimensions of the home and school environment that show a direct association with adolescents' scholastic achievement. The study uses a correlational research design. This study has selected a sample of 154 individuals from the Delhi region of India. The results obtained through correlation and regression analysis clearly indicate that control and rejection in school settings, along with a permissive home environment, significantly predict the scholastic achievement of female adolescents. The results also revealed that a permissive, protective, and punishing home environment, as well as restrictions imposed in a school setting, are significant predictors of male adolescents' scholastic achievement. From this, it can be concluded that the home environment and school environment dimensions play a pivotal role in the attainment of scholastic achievement among adolescents.

This study explores the significance of the online teaching ability of higher education teachers, and how teachers perceived their level of competence in teaching online in north-east (NE) India. The Faculty Readiness to Teach Online (FRTO) instrument developed by Martin et al. (2019) was adapted to conduct a study from 130 teachers in higher education institutions across NE India. The ability to teach online was categorised into four categories, i.e., course design, course communication, time management, and technical competence. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was carried out to do direct and indirect path analysis of the proposed conceptual model. Multiple regression analysis was used in analysing the demographic profiles of the teachers and their perceptions of the importance of online teaching competencies. The findings indicate that the perceived readiness to teach online was not significantly influenced by course design, course communication, time management and technical competencies. Furthermore, regression analysis showed that both age and gender negatively impacted perceptions towards readiness to teach online, with older and female teachers having lower perception scores.

This study employed a social media discourse analysis approach to illuminate the narratives of Indian international students in Ukraine affected by the Russo-Ukrainian war. We used agency and liminality as analytic lenses to highlight how this uniquely situated population utilized Facebook to navigate conflict, voice demands, support each other, challenge hegemonic narratives, (re)construct diasporic identities, and re-orient their futures. Findings indicate that Indian international students in Ukraine displayed insurmountable courage and resilience during the war, enacting agency from the margins to amplify their voices and actuate desired futures. Furthermore, South Asian students in Ukraine put aside their religious, ethnic, national, and caste conflicts to come together as a collective, uplifting each other and centering humanity. Little is known about how international students, especially in non-Anglocentric, peripheralized European countries, negotiate power and navigate crises during war. This study fills an important lacuna in the literature on internationalization, crisis migration, and higher education.

Elementary school students still need help learning English, resulting in low learning outcomes. The lack of learning facilities and the application of inappropriate learning models impact students' low motivation to learn English. Regarding this matter, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of task-based e-learning on students' cognitive dissonance and reading engagement in learning English at elementary schools. The study was designed in a Quasi-Experimental Design with a posttest-only control group design. The population of the study was 158 4th-grade elementary school students. A random sampling technique was used in this study with a sample size of 55 4th-grade elementary school students. A survey was used to collect the data. The instrument used to collect research data was a questionnaire sheet. Two-way ANOVA was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study show a significant effect simultaneously and partially with a Sig. value < 0.05, task-based e-learning has an impact on students' cognitive dissonance and reading engagement in learning English at elementary schools. The study implies that applying task-based e-learning can make it easier for students to learn English, which impacts their cognitive dissonance and reading engagement.

The incorporation of computer technology in higher education has experienced substantial expansion and evolution in recent years. This study aims to examine the possibilities and problems that emerge throughout the integration process. Through an analysis of the multifaceted components associated with integrating computer technology within higher education, this study attempts to elucidate the prospective advantages and challenges encountered by educational institutions, instructors, and learners. The study relies on an examination of pertinent academic literature, case studies, and empirical research. This study identifies and assesses various significant opportunities, such as accessibility to educational resources, personalized learning experiences, enhanced engagement and collaboration, and the acquisition of crucial digital skills that arise from the integration of computer technology. Furthermore, this study delves into the possible beneficial implications of computer technology on the efficacy of institutions, cost-efficiency, and administrative functions. Incorporating computer technology in higher education poses several challenges, such as the digital gap, concerns about privacy and data security, the necessity for faculty training and support, alterations in pedagogy, and the possible diversions that may arise due to technology that require careful consideration. The study suggests a thorough examination of the many opportunities and challenges that are involved with technological integration in higher education.

Scheduling of practice to create a spacing effect has been observed to lead to superior retention of L2 vocabulary and grammar. Two of the various methods of scheduling L2 task practice discussed widely in recent times are interleaving and blocking. In a desirable difficulty framework, both of these methods have been recommended for task repetition practices aimed at learning L2 vocabulary and grammar. Used at the appropriate level of difficulty both have been observed to facilitate the automatization and proceduralization of linguistic knowledge. Keeping two groups of 44 Indian adolescent English as L2 learners under interleaved and blocked conditions during a three-month-long task repetition practice program, the present study attempted to measure the difference in the effect of interleaving and blocking on the retention rate of English vocabulary and grammar. No statistically significant difference in the effect of these two methods on the retention of English vocabulary and grammar was recorded in a repeated measures ANOVA test (p=0.17, F=2.05, d=0.09) conducted on the pre-test, intermediate test, and post-test scores of the participants. Both groups continued to demonstrate limited flexibility and appropriacy in word choice and rare instances of complex forms and structures of sentences in English throughout the three tests.

This study applied a case study approach to explore the participation experiences of children with physical disabilities in a community school in Mumbai to understand how schools might improve their students' meaningful participation and social interaction. This study identified three categories of focus: (1) physically accessible and safe school spaces, (2) informal spaces for community and social engagement and socialization, and (3) future directions for school design. We offer specific recommendations for school designers to value children's voices and incorporate their disability-related needs in the design of school spaces. We outline key design considerations to create safe, accessible, and engaging school spaces.

This study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of microlearning in higher education. The sample consisted of first-year MBA students, and a post-test control group design was used to assess the effectiveness of a microlearning module. The results indicated that the use of microlearning was significantly related to learning performance and participants' reactions to the module. Moreover, the microlearning group scored significantly higher than the control group. The findings suggest that microlearning has the potential to improve learning outcomes and enhance participant engagement. However, the study has certain limitations, and future research is needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the optimal design and delivery of microlearning modules. The study supports the use of microlearning in higher education as an effective instructional strategy.

This article describes the findings of a study on the correlations between English as second language (ESL) motivation, understood as a product of the stimulus appraisal system, and writing proficiency in English among undergraduate Indian ESL learners. The principal objective of the study was to analyze the correlation between the undergraduate Indian ESL learner's motivational sub-checks/constructs, constituted using the stimulus appraisal (SA) theory of affect, and their writing proficiency in English. Additionally, it also attempted to understand the influence of sex and academic disciplines on the correlations. An ESL motivation survey was conducted using a modified version of the Attitude and Motivation Test Battery (Gardner, 1985) on students (N>350) studying in undergraduate programs in the academic disciplines of engineering, humanities, and medical sciences selected using criterion-based sampling, followed by a writing proficiency test in English. It was observed that need/compatibility factors did not significantly correlate with ESL writing proficiency in any of the three subsamples. ESL classroom-related factors within the pleasantness/novelty construct, on the other hand, significantly correlated with ESL writing proficiency. It is hoped that the insights obtained in the study should potentially help design more empirically informed pedagogical methods of ESL teaching.

The study aims to improve the existing unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) framework to understand the adoption of e-learning platforms in developing countries and to understand the relevance of the quality of study life among students. The constructs for the UTAUT model were chosen based on the e-learning study context and expanded with the variable study-life quality. The expanded model was tested with empirical data collected from graduate and post-graduate students of higher education institutes. The hypotheses testing and adequacy of the expanded model were analysed using structural equation modeling using SmartPLS v 3.2.8. The study's findings indicate that nine out of the twelve hypothesized paths significantly influenced students' engagement with e-learning platforms, and a total of six significant variables explained a variance of 65.8% of the dependent variable behavioral intention. The variable study-life quality had the highest [beta] coefficient value of 0.380, indicating that it is the most significant factor for e-learning adoption in this study setting. The study adds to the publication on adoption theories by providing an expanded UTAUT framework that is empirically tested.

The present study aims to study the Life Skills among Secondary School Students using the Descriptive Survey Method. The sample consists of 405 Secondary Students selected from six Secondary Schools in Idukki District. The technique used for selecting the sample is Stratified Random Sampling giving due representation to Gender and Locale. The investigator used a scale- Life Skills Scale to measure Life Skills among Secondary School Students. For analysis, statistical techniques like Mean, Standard Deviation and Test of Significance of the Difference between Means(t-test) are used. The findings of the study reveal that there is no significant difference between the means of scores on Life Skills among the Secondary Students with regard to Gender, Life Skills of Boys and Girls are more or less the same. However, there is a significant difference between the means of scores on Life Skills among the Secondary Students with regard to Locale- Life Skills of students in Urban Schools is higher than that of Rural schools. Therefore, the investigator concludes that Gender has no influence and Locale influences the Life Skills of Secondary Students Key Words: Life Skills, Boys, Girls, Urban, Rural, Secondary School Students.

It is important to understand information and communication technology (ICT) and digital resources in classroom teaching and learning processes. Pre-service teachers' attitudes towards ICT and digital resources in teaching and learning processes are important for positive attitudes in students towards these tools. The study employs a mixed methods study targeted teachers who have completed their internship training to understand the knowledge, attitude and usage of ICT and digital resources tries to find a correlation between these three facets. It employs a questionnaire with validated tools for measuring attitude, knowledge and usage of ICT and Digital Resources and the results are tabulated. Using statistical analysis of mean and standard deviation, the study affirms a positive correlation between Knowledge, attitude and usage of ICT and Digital Resources by Pre-Service teachers. This study recommends that pre-service teachers be given adequate training and exposure to ICT & Digital Resources for a better learning transaction and technology usage.

This research is a systematic literature review study that aims to explore the evidence in publications that report on the types of misconceptions experienced by students in learning chemistry by providing types of students' chemical misconceptions based on levels and obtaining the correct formulation of misconceptions so that they can be used as a basis for overcoming them. The collected publications came from Scopus-indexed publications in journals, Conference Proceedings, Books, and Book Series from 2006 to 2021. Data analysis used was thematic analysis and data extraction and publication selection procedures using the PRISMA modification method, which consisted of four phases: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The linkages between all the literature with misconceptions were analyzed using VOSviewer software to visualize bibliometrics. There are four chemical materials with the most misconceptions experienced by students: chemical equilibrium with seven studies, covalent bonds with six studies, acid-base theory with five studies, and materials and their classifications with five studies. Countries actively researching misconceptions are the United States, Turkey, Taiwan, South Korea, Ireland, England, Colombia, Macedonia, India, Thailand, Slovakia, Indonesia, Spain, Malaysia, Finland, and Ukraine. The research findings provide an overview of chemical materials that students often experience misconceptions about and the types of misconceptions about these chemical materials. Promoting Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) through telecollaborative exchange (TE) in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) milieu has attracted many scholars. Despite a voluminous literature study on TE in EFL settings, studies on how teachers implement TE and perceive these intercultural exchange meetings are scant. Thus, this case study aimed to fill the empirical void by delving into the implementation of TE in non-Anglophone settings mediated by "Zoom" and the teachers' perceptions of these intercultural exchanges enactment. To meet these research objectives, four English teachers from Croatia, Indonesia, Belarus, and India were recruited. Empirical data were amassed through observational field notes and interviews. The study showcased how the teachers organized TE and revealed their performed roles to scaffold the students in TE. The findings also portrayed their perception of TE grounded within their motives and pedagogical beliefs. Drawing upon these results, the study offers some implications for teacher professional development.

The purpose of this investigation was to identify, examine, and analyse the opinions of four international postgraduate students who embarked on a service-learning project required by the course taken in Semester 2, 2021/2022. It included engaging in community service, connection to their academic endeavours, reporting the outcomes, critical reflection, and reciprocity. Choral speaking activities were selected as the tool for their engagement with children in the community. The qualitative approach was chosen as the research design, employing in-depth semi-structured interviews. The findings pointed to the beneficial aspects of service-learning which include: (1) enhances multicultural understanding; (2) improves civic involvement; (3) acknowledges that academic work has real-world importance; and (4) promotes language learning as well as reciprocity, that need to be improved.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, cases of discrimination and hate crimes against minority populations including international students have soared in the U.S. This study explores the relationship between international students' perceived discrimination and their self-reported overall health and the role of social support and positive emotions in such relationship. In total, 203 international students studying at two U.S. universities participated in an online survey. The results indicated that: (1) when international students perceive higher levels of discrimination, they experience lower levels of positive emotions and have lower levels of perceived social support; and (2) positive emotions were significantly associated with both psychological distress and physical health. Perceived social support was only significantly associated with physical health not psychological distress. We also provided meaningful implications for higher educational institutions that strive to enhance international students' overall health.

This study explores the perspectives of Indian library professionals on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in libraries. It aims to understand their knowledge, awareness, and views on AI and its challenges and opportunities. The research adopts a quantitative approach, using a closed-ended survey to collect data from 386 library professionals in academic institutions across India. The survey covers various aspects, including socio-demographic information, AI knowledge, perspectives on AI in libraries, ethical considerations, and adopting AI tools and services. The findings indicate that Indian library professionals are generally aware of AI and its potential benefits in libraries. They believe AI can enhance library activities, improve accessibility, and support decision-making. However, there are concerns about AI replacing human intelligence within libraries. Factors such as user privacy, funding, staff expertise, and alignment with institutional goals are essential when implementing AI applications. Ethical considerations, including bias and discrimination, intellectual freedom, and transparency, are also significant concerns. AI tools like smart shelving and optical character recognition (OCR) are among the technologies already adopted in Indian libraries.

In the context of contemporary technological advancements, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has gained considerable significance in the field of education. In light of ChatGPT's growing popularity, this research aims to explore how higher education students perceive the use of ChatGPT in academics, examining factors influencing its acceptance, as well as its benefits, limitations, and ethical concerns. The study applied a survey design, collecting data through Google Forms from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students. A total of 162 participants, who were using ChatGPT selected through convenience sampling. The findings indicate a positive perception among respondents regarding ChatGPT's academic applications, its benefits, limitations, acceptance factors, and ethical concerns. The study also reveals that the perception of higher education students towards ChatGPT usage is not significantly influenced by gender, academic programs, and streams. The insights gained from this study holds significant implications for the responsible and effective integration of ChatGPT in higher education environments, taking into account its perceived benefits and ethical concerns.

ChatGPT has become a prominent tool for fostering personalized and interactive learning with the advancements in AI technology. This study analyzes 212 academic research articles indexed in the Scopus database as of July 2023. It maps the trajectory of educational studies on ChatGPT, identifying primary themes, influential authors, and contributing institutions. By employing bibliometric indicators and network analysis, the study explores collaboration patterns, citation trends, and the evolution of research interests. The findings show the exponential growth of interest in leveraging ChatGPT for educational purposes and provide insights into the specific educational domains and contexts that have garnered the most attention. Furthermore, the study reveals the collaborative dynamics and intellectual foundations shaping the field by examining co-authorship and citation networks. This bibliometric analysis contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the current state of ChatGPT research in education, offering researchers and practitioners valuable insights into evolving trends and potential future directions for this innovative aspect of AI and learning.

In this article we offer a conceptual and practical contribution to the field of STEM education by investigating the concepts educators may include in Quantum Technologies (QT) outreach activities. We embed our approach in the discipline-culture (DC) framework, in which we consider the cultural nuances of QT as an important factor which must not be ignored in education efforts. To this end, a survey study by the pilot project Quantum Technologies Education For Everyone (QuTE4E), investigating key concepts for QT outreach, was conducted between December 2021 and June 2022. Here we present the results of the study, analysed through the DC framework, and consider the implications for designing QT outreach activities. The data hints at the perceived value of highlighting core concepts of Quantum Mechanics (QM), while also raising the question of whether QT sits as a discipline of Physics, Computer Science, or elsewhere. This calls for a reordering of the primacy of certain concepts (such as qubit and spin) for outreach purposes, where core concepts in QM might not be core concepts in QT, and vice versa. The results of this study provide valuable insights for those interested in learning more about this rapidly-evolving field.

E-learning was the most preferred mode of instruction during COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2020, the Government of India closed all the educational institutions in India due to spread of COVID-19 pandemic. The closure of educational institutions affected the schools, colleges and universities. To overcome this, the HEI's adopted various online learning methods to reach out to students. E-learning was the method which HEI's adopted for continuing the education during COVID-19 pandemic. E-learning was one of the solutions which helped students to carry their teacher learning from the safety of their respective homes. It offered flexibility to students in terms of when and where they can learn. E-learning helped students and teachers in continuity of education during pandemic as it offered a quick and scalable solution for delivering educational content remotely which allowed students to continue their education without any interruption. The aim and objectives of the current study is to analyze the scenario of E-learning in India during COVID-19 pandemic. It also highlights the importance of E-learning platforms because of which it was adopted during pandemic. Further, the study also highlights various challenges faced by teachers and students during pandemic.

The relationship between private tutoring (PT) and mainstream education is among the complex themes characterizing PT discourses in the literature. This study examined the complications of practices and processes in tutoring and schooling to elucidate different roles played by PT and its relationship with mainstream education. Design/Approach/Methods: This study used qualitative data from a diverse set of 37 PT providers from the State of Maharashtra, India, to delineate their roles and explore their relationship with schooling in this context. Findings: The classification of PT providers' roles into complementary, accommodating, competing, and substitutive ones demonstrated a diverse range of relationships between PT and mainstream education. Further analysis showed that these relationships are dynamic in nature, and the boundaries between them are blurred. Originality/Value: Research in the field of PT has been consistently pointing toward a perplexing mixture of positive and negative outcomes resulting from its relationship with mainstream education. This study transcended the positive vis-à-vis negative binary approach by contributing to the deeper understanding of PT relationships. Furthermore, it exemplified how future studies can disentangle the complexities of such relationships by deploying flexible, context-specific theoretical approaches.

In the geographies where various languages are spoken, individuals may have to experience learning one or more languages to fulfil their needs. When societies who live together and use various language groups make contact with people who use other language groups and cultures, they have to interact with each other. This mutual effect is then reflected on the languages and brings the term of bilingualism or multilingualism into the agenda. Multilingualism is regarded as the simple form of bilingualism. The acquisition of a second language indicates the ability to use another language. The process of dual-language/bilingualism emerges in cases where people learn/acquire another language in addition to his/her mother language. Dual language or bilingualism can be stated as an individual expressing themselves in two or more languages as effectively as in the mother tongue. The reason for choosing this topic is the increasing popularity of it; because human beings who use various languages all over the world have had to live together for numerous reasons such as wars, migrations, education, trade and etc. In 2022-2023 AY, in order to understand and shed light on students' ideas towards bilingualism, a survey was carried out at a state university in England. We would like to state that the findings obtained from evaluating the attitudes of the bilingual students related to the acquisition of English will contribute to the literature and provide a different perspective in this research.

This article presents the life story of "Profile." The story is based on an ethnographic case study that aimed to understand the viewpoints of Profile's new writers and reviewers regarding the role of scientific journals in fostering communities in the knowledge society. To gather information, I relied on personal reflections from my experience as the creator and editor of the journal, along with documentary evidence (published issues, regularly collected statistics, editorial workflows, and communications with editorial teams and various bodies of Universidad Nacional de Colombia, which funds the publication). The story illustrates the inception, development, and primary challenges that need to be addressed to ensure its continuity.

The global imaginary contributes to the perpetuation of neo-colonial and neoliberal mentalities, which reinforce the political, cultural, and social dominance over international students. Through an exploration guided by interrelated theories of agency and transnational social fields, this study employs a narrative inquiry methodology with a constructivist research approach to comprehend and investigate the agency of international graduate students of Color amidst transnational mobility during the COVID-19 pandemic within a four-year public research institution in the United States. The research findings demonstrate that specific contexts and spaces shape the agency of international graduate students and (trans)form their present and future. This article reveals four distinct forms of agency: agency as negotiation in uncertainties, agency as resistance to forms of (neo)racism, agency for personal growth and (trans)formation, and agency within transnational futures.

With more and more literature on international student mobility and migration (ISM), one area of focus has often been overlooked: the impacts of student visas and study permits. Examined through an institutionalist framework highlighting the influences of institutions on individuals and their agency, this study describes how visa and study permit policies pervades international students' lives in a variety of ways. Interview data collected from 40 international students who study in Australia, Canada, and the United States were analyzed to uncover themes from these host countries. Drawing on these interviews to outline the concept of ISM policy pervasion, the findings of this study show that visa policies affect international students in wide ranging ways. In addition to providing empirical evidence for ISM policy pervasion, this article also lays the groundwork for further studies that delve into the practical impacts of student visa and study permit policies around the world.

This research study provided a basic understanding of pedagogical translanguaging and its importance in a multilingual classroom environment from the perspective of foreign language class students. The qualitative study, employing interpretive phenomenological analysis, investigated students' viewpoints on pedagogical translanguaging in a multilingual classroom setting, specifically within Pondicherry Central University's French certificate program in India. Through semi-structured interviews, 8 main themes and 35 subthemes were identified. Comparing these findings with the functions of translanguaging, similarities and differences in translanguaging application in language learning contexts emerged. Additionally, the study aimed to enhance instructional strategies tailored to meet the linguistic needs of diverse learners in multilingual classrooms.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India reframed the present structure of higher education such as syllabi, examinations, and assessments. Due to the pandemic, many educational and research institutions are building a knowledge and skill-based curriculum and designing new credit-based courses, while encouraging students to attend online courses as a way to meet the recommendations of NEP. Any e-learning platform or online course has four basic components: Videos, Activities, Additional Reading Material, and Discussions, with Additional Reading Material being a more important component. Online courses that are open to everyone (MOOCs) can be adopted irrespective of the students' specialization or area. The instructor provides the reading material to the learners as a fixed, recommended list irrespective of the learner's interest or specialization. Instructors are finding it difficult to cater to the diversity of learners' interests and learning styles. In this paper, I have focused and analyzed the additional reading material and digital reading patterns of learners in various MOOC platforms by conducting online surveys. I concluded that there is a need to use learning eXtension Trajectories (LxT) in the learner-centric MOOC model where an instructor can identify various supportive domains and provide a shortened list of resources comprising various media to the learners.
