For some time now, a blatant shortage of training analysts has been observed in the German Psychoanalytical Society (DPG) and many other psychoanalytical societies, which threatens psychoanalytical training and could make it impossible in the long term. Apparently, there is a phenomenon that can be observed worldwide that younger colleagues are critical or even negative about working as training analysts. Why is it so difficult to interest and inspire young analysts to become training analysts? We were commissioned to give a group lecture that would address the question of why generative transmission fails and what could be causing the phenomenon of missing training analysts. The lecture was presented as a group lecture at the Training Analysts Conference of the DPG, which took place online at the beginning of 2024. The speakers came from various DPG institutes spread across the whole of Germany. For confidentiality reasons, we decided to write as a group and to mix our personal contributions so that they can no longer be individually assigned. The 78th annual conference of the Society for Nutritional Physiology (GfE) took place from March 5th to 7th, 2024 in Göttingen. The program included a plenary lecture on public opinion on animal nutrition, 103 short contributions and posters on various topics, a young scientist promotion, and a workshop on global challenges and perspectives in animal nutrition. The conference provided a good overview of current research priorities and facilitated scientific exchange between experienced and young scientists. On September 12th and 13th, 2023, the "11th Day of Preservation" took place at the Central and State Library (ZLB) in Berlin. The event was organized and conducted by the Competence Center for Preservation of Archives and Libraries in Berlin and Brandenburg (KBE). This article is based on a lecture given at the 10th German-speaking International Psychoanalytical Congress (DIPsaT) in Leipzig in October 2022. First, essential aspects of a dynamic remembering (and forgetting) are illustrated by means of a personal, not private, memory flow triggered by the invitation to give the lecture. In a second part, the analytical work with a male patient "with no memory" is described. Using the concepts of reverie according to Bion and transformational regredience according to Botella and Botella, the significance of unconscious work of figurability in the temporary regression of the analyst for a treatment progress is highlighted. This year's conference of the Pedagogy Department of the Görres Society took place at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen and focused on the topic "Optimization - Educational Perspectives on Human, Body, and Culture". The article is a short outline of a lecture the author gave at a DGTA faculty conference in November 2019. Daniel Shapiro's new negotiation concept is presented using examples from the author's own practice of political negotiations. The focus is on how new perspectives can be generated in emotionally and morally charged conflicts by understanding the emergence of identities and relationship identities. For severe, hardly negotiable conflicts, the impact of integrating, meaningful narratives is presented. Using the concept of Shapiro's ladder of being and Pat Crossman's three Ps, conclusions are drawn about the personal impact of mediators and resonance phenomena within negotiations. The 18th International Symposium on Geo-disaster Reduction (ISGdR) was held on 20–22 November in Beijing, China, focusing on the theme of "Improving the Relationship between Geoenvironment and Society". This editorial discusses the issue of tolerance as a problem in educational science. The term "tolerance" is described as complex and demanding, and the possibilities and limits of tolerant behavior are addressed. It is emphasized that tolerance takes place within certain moral and political boundaries and is necessarily limited. During the interwar years, Australian internationalists sought to promote League internationalism to Australians at home. In addition to attending international conferences, participating in the League of Nations, or joining non-government organisations with international affiliations, within Australia they gave lectures, were interviewed by the press, and contributed to information events and publications. Each activity was designed to encourage a more internationally or Pacific-minded Australia in the world. When considered together, the range of publics they created points to an emerging culture of internationalism in Australia more diffuse and disparate than previously recognised. In particular, when women and men internationalists are considered in the one frame, a more active and engaged internationalist Australia emerges—one in which white, middle-class academics, activists and professionals sought to encourage a new way of being a ''White Australian" that was sufficiently self-reflexive to encourage cross-cultural exchange in the region while retaining authority in (settler) colonial affairs. The Econometrics Journal sponsors an annual plenary lecture at the Royal Economic Society's conference, known as the Sargan Lecture, which honors the contributions of John Denis Sargan to econometrics. In 2016, the Mihai Pop Fonds was established as part of the Image Archive at the Romanian Peasant Museum, and this past year has seen a real effort to organize the documents left behind by the scholar. The Fonds brings together key documents: a rich correspondence with Romanian and foreign researchers; Mihai Pop's field notes from the sociological research campaigns; his PhD thesis, which has yet to be published; documents related to his participation in national and international congresses; his notes for the folklore lectures he gave at the University; and many other documents. The paper aims to present how an interdisciplinary team of ten researchers and artists organized various types of documents from the personal archive of Mihai Pop in order to make it accessible to both specialists interested in the topic and the general public. The paper highlights the contents of the Fonds and focuses on the difficulties involved in organizing a personal archive. The paper will show not only how the Mihai Pop Fonds was shaped in the process, but how the network of people interested in his work has grown and come together in this process, generating new knowledge and new perspectives. The article presents a commentary on the quality of presentations at sports psychology conferences. Conferences are described as an important source of updated information on research and clinical practice. The author states that a lack of training among conference speakers causes some conference content to lack quality and accuracy. Complaints are made against the process and content of conference presentations. Recommendations for improving conference presentations are given, including more preparation, increased scientific rigor of presented evidence, and more punctual organization.

The symposium „I take You to be my wife / husband...? What do the nupturients mean today?“ was held on November 15, 2018.
