The camera control is the most glaring deficiency, with the set angles for each room doing a great job of making the environments look good, but often proving impractical in the heat of combat. There is nothing glaringly wrong with Van Helsing with the exception of the camera angle complaint, this inconsistency in the degree of difficulty in the middle and late stages does tend to sap excitement levels.

XBox: Ninja Gaiden is a game that manages to merge the arcane worlds of bonsai and bushido. The Xbox live component also comes into its own, with downloadable content and competitive online play available and players even get the older Ninja Gaiden games as unlockable bonuses in game.

Cricket 97 from EA Sports features the voice of cricket superstar Richie Benaud. The game is simple and fun to play, but the graphics are unexceptional and the scoring favors the batsman. Choosing teams is relatively straightforward, and games last almost as long as real-life cricket matches. By far the best thing about the game are the voice contributions of Benaud. This is not EA Sports' best game, but would be a welcome addition to a cricket enthusiast's library.
