A variety of studies have demonstrated the role of lipocalin 2 (LCN2) in both diabetes and neurological disorders. Nevertheless, the relationship between LCN2 and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) needs to be elucidated in humans. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the association of LCN2 with DPN in type 2 diabetes (T2D). A total of 207 participants with T2D and 40 participants with normal glucose tolerance (NGT) were included in this study. All participants were classified into DPN group and non-DPN (NDPN) group based on the Toronto Clinical Neuropathy Scoring (TCNS). Demographic and biochemical parameters were measured. Serum LCN2 levels were determined using an ELISA technique. Serum LCN2 levels in NGT group were lower than those in either DPN group (P = 0.000) or NDPN group (P = 0.043), while serum LCN2 levels in DPN group were higher than NDPN group (P = 0.001). Moreover, serum LCN2 levels positively correlated to TCNS scores, which reflects neuropathy severity (r = 0.438, P = 0.000). Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that BMI, triglycerides, and diastolic pressure were independently associated with serum LCN2 in DPN. Additionally, logistic regression analysis demonstrated that LCN2 (odds ratio (OR) = 1.009) and diabetes duration (OR = 1.058) were independently associated with the occurrence of DPN in T2D. Our report reveals the association of serum LCN2 with DPN in T2D. LCN2 might be used to evaluate DPN severity and serve a role in the pathogenesis of DPN.

The volumetric bar-chart microfluidic chips (V-Chips) driven by chemical reaction-generated gas provide a promising platform for point-of-care (POC) visual biomarker quantitation. However, multiple limitations are encountered in conventional V-Chips, such as costly and complex chip fabrication, complicated assembly, and imprecise controllability of gas production. Herein, we introduced nanomaterial-mediated photothermal effects to V-Chips, and for the first time developed a new type of V-Chip, photothermal bar-chart microfluidic chip (PT-Chip), for visual quantitative detection of biochemicals without any bulky and costly analytical instruments. Immunosensing signals were converted to visual readout signals via photothermal effects, the on-chip bar-chart movements, enabling quantitative biomarker detection on a low-cost polymer hybrid PT-Chip with on-chip scale rulers. Four different human serum samples containing prostate-specific antigen (PSA) as a model analyte were detected simultaneously using the PT-Chip, with the limit of detection of 2.1 ng/mL, meeting clinical diagnostic requirements. Although no conventional signal detectors were used, it achieved comparable detection sensitivity to absorbance measurements with a microplate reader. The PT-Chip was further validated by testing human whole blood without the color interference problem, demonstrating good analytical performance of our method even in complex matrixes and thus the potential to fill a gap in current clinical diagnostics that is incapable of testing whole blood. This new PT-Chip driven by nanomaterial-mediated photothermal effects opens a new horizon of microfluidic platforms for instrument-free diagnostics at the point of care.

Elevated retinol binding protein 4 levels are associated with atherosclerosis in diabetic rats via JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway

Patients arrive in burn centers with many etiologies of burn incidence (such as scald, contact, flame, steam, etc.). Treatment of these injuries depends on the burn depth and surface area of these burns. Moreover, earlier diagnosis and treatment of these burns lead to better patient outcomes. In this study, we show that THz-TDS imaging with a neural network classification algorithm can reproducibly classify burns, independent of their etiology, with an ROC-AUC of 88% in a porcine model.

The accuracy of clinical assessment of partial-thickness burn injuries has remained as low as 60% in the first few days post burn induction. Here, we present the implementation of a wavelet Shannon entropy technique for noninvasive characterization of burn injuries in an in vivo porcine burn study. Supervised machine learning using the support vector machines (SVM) based on the energy to Shannon entropy ratio (ESER) in the wavelet packet transform of the THz-TDS waveform yielded accuracy rates above 91% in differentiation between superficial, intermediate, and full-thickness burn categories.

Aim. The slow coronary flow (SCF) phenomenon was characterized by delayed perfusion of epicardial arteries, and no obvious coronary artery lesion in coronary angiography. The prognosis of patients with slow coronary flow was poor. However, there is lack of rapid, simple, and accurate method for SCF diagnosis. This study aimed to explore the utility of plasma choline as a diagnostic biomarker for SCF. Methods. Patients with coronary artery stenosis Results. Forty-four patients with SCF and 21 patients with NCF were included in this study. TFC in LAD, LCX, and RCA and mean TFC were significantly higher in patients with SCF in comparison with patients with NCF (32.67 ± 8.37 vs. 20.66 ± 3.41, P < 0.01). Plasma choline level was obviously higher in patients with SCF when compared with patients with NCF (754.65 ± 238.18 vs. 635.79 ± 108.25, P=0.007). Plasma choline level had significantly positive correlation with Mean TFC (r = 0.364, P=0.002). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis showed that choline with or without confounding factor adjustment had an AUC score of 0.65 and 0.77, respectively. Conclusions. TFC were closely related with plasma choline level, and plasma choline can be a suitable and stable diagnostic biomarker for SCF.

Automatic fault detection, localization, and repairing have always been a research hot spot. Because software faults can appear anywhere in a software, it is impossible to automatically repair all types of faults. One possible solution is to detect, localize, and fix a specific fault each time according to the fault signature pattern. Along this direction, we propose an approach that detects pairwise-constraint software faults using algebra graph representation. The approach takes a program and a pairwise-constraint as inputs and generates a fault report for programmers. It firstly generates a constraint control flow graph ( CFG ) that is labeled using pairwise constraint and then translates the constraint CFG as a path expression using algebra graph representation, which is an abstract path model for the program. Finally, it employs a detection algorithm to detect whether the program contains pairwise-constraint faults. We perform case studies to validate the effectiveness of our approach. The preliminary results show that the approach can detect pairwise-constraint software faults before software testing.

To observe the effects of saxagliptin on the expression of mitogen-activated protein kinase 38 (p38MAPK), nephrin and podocin in renal tissue in type 2 diabetic (T2DM) rats, and to explore the possible mechanism of its renal protection. Forty-eight male Sprague–Dawley rats were used for the study and divided into four different groups: normal controls (Group NC), DM controls (Group DM), DM + glibenclamide (Group Su) and DM + saxagliptin (Group Sa). The day drug administration started was defined as week 0. After 12 weeks, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr) in serum were detected, simultaneously albumin and creatinine in urine were measured, respectively, and then urinary albumin/creatinine ratio (UACR) was calculated. Maca (Lepidium meyenii) has emerged as a popular functional plant food because of its medicinal properties and nutritional value. Macamides, as the exclusively active ingredients found in maca, are a unique series of non-polar, long-chain fatty acid N-benzylamides with multiple bioactivities such as antifatigue characteristics and improving reproductive health. In this study, a new kind of macamide, N-benzyl eicosapentaenamide (NB-EPA), was identified from maca. We further explore its potential neuroprotective role in hypoxic–ischemic brain injury. Our findings indicated that treatment with biosynthesized NB-EPA significantly alleviates the size of cerebral infarction and improves neurobehavioral disorders after hypoxic–ischemic brain damage in neonatal mice. NB-EPA inhibited the apoptosis of neuronal cells after ischemic challenge. NB-EPA improved neuronal cell survival and proliferation through the activation of phosphorylated AKT signaling. Of note, the protective property of NB-EPA against ischemic neuronal damage was dependent on suppression of the p53–PUMA pathway. Taken together, these findings suggest that NB-EPA may represent a new neuroprotectant for newborns with hypoxic–ischemic encephalopathy.

Introduction: The role of lipocalin 2 (LCN2) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) needs to be fully elucidated. Moreover, bone has been demonstrated to modulate glucose metabolism via LCN2. We thus performed this study to investigate the associations of LCN2 with indexes of glucose metabolism in T2DM. The associations of LCN2 with bone metabolism were examined concurrently. People with diabetes have higher risks of various infections. Therefore, these diabetic patients might be at increased risk of COVID-19 and have a poorer prognosis. Up until now, little is known about critical role in the pathogenesis. This study aims to investigate the clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients with diabetes and secondary hyperglycemia, as well as to explore the purported mechanisms. 80 confirmed COVID-19 subjects were classified into the euglycemia group, secondary hyperglycemia group, and diabetes group. Severity of COVID-19 was defined based on the diagnostic and treatment guideline for SARS-CoV-2 issued by Chinese National Health Committee. According to the severity of the disease, patients of the mild type and common type were registered as mild cases (patients with minimal symptoms and negative CT findings), while patients of the severe type and critical type were enrolled as severe cases (patients with positive CT findings and different extent of clinical manifestations). Patients in the diabetes group were older than those in the euglycemia group, and most of them were male. In the diabetes group, the proportion of severe cases was 57.14%, which was significantly higher than those in the other two groups, and 32% of the COVID-19 patients diagnosed as severe cases were with diabetes. The CD4+ cell counts in the diabetes group were lower than those in the other two groups, while the levels of LDH and hs-CRP were higher. Compared with the euglycemia group, the CD3+ cell counts and the CD4+/CD8+ ratio were decreased, whereas the levels of IL-6 were increased in the secondary hyperglycemia group and diabetes group, with the diversities in the diabetes group being especially more significant. The Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the presence of diabetes was positively correlated with age, hs-CRP, LDH, IL-6, CD8+ cells, and severity of COVID-19 and negatively correlated with CD3+ cell counts, CD4+ cell counts, and CD4+/CD8+ ratio. Compared with the other two groups, the diabetes group exhibited more diverse and multifocal features in CT imagings. Diabetes is a risk factor for influence of the progression and prognosis of COVID-19 due to ongoing inflammation and impaired immune response.

A V2O5 porous nanodisk thin film is synthesized through a simple hydrothermal and subsequent VO2 template oxidation strategy. For the first time, V2O5 is employed as a cathode rather than an anode to construct lithium-ion hybrid capacitors. This design effectively utilizes the intrinsic layered structure of V2O5 for facile Li+ intercalation and facilitates the charge balance with the capacitive electrode, enabling superior performance of the device.

Psychotropic drugs are frequently used for functional dyspepsia (FD); however, the efficacy of these drugs for treating FD remains controversial. We aimed to comprehensively compare the relative efficacies of different psychotropic drugs for FD in adults.To conduct this study, we searched the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases on March 10, 2019, and conducted a frequentist network meta-analysis on the search results. The primary outcome was treatment efficacy estimated by the proportion of patients who achieved a certain percentage decrease in symptoms or who dropped below the threshold of the global FD symptom scores. The secondary outcome was acceptability, defined as all-cause discontinuation. Odds ratios (ORs) were reported with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).We deemed 10 trials to be eligible for analysis, and these trials included 970 participants and 10 psychotropic drugs. Flupentixol + melitracen (F + M) (OR, 10.00; 95% CI, 1.59 to 62.73), tandospirone (3.24, 1.38 to 7.60), imipramine (2.21, 1.02 to 4.79), and amitriptyline (1.71, 1.06 to 3.09) were significantly superior to placebo. According to the surface under the cumulative ranking curve, the most effective treatment was F + M (89.0%), whereas the least effective was R137696 (13.6%). In terms of acceptability, escitalopram (0.32, 0.11 to 0.92) was ranked as the worst drug (12.6%), followed by imipramine and sertraline.The present network meta-analysis suggests that F + M, tandospirone, imipramine, and amitriptyline are more effective than placebo as treatment for FD. Our results indicate that among the ten psychotropic drugs included, F + M is likely to be the most effective drug for alleviating dyspepsia symptoms.

Herein, unique S and N co-doped carbon dots (S,N-C-dots) were synthesized via a one-pot hydrothermal method. The S,N-C-dots not only possess a relatively high photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) (43%), but also present unique optical properties with dual-emission (blue and yellow) and excitation-independent characteristics. It is extremely rare for bare carbon dots (C-dots) to have dual-emission under single excitation wavelength. Herein, we achieved a series of solid-state lighting materials, such as silica-encapsulated C-dots (silica/C-dots), light conversion films (LCFs), and white-light-emitting diodes (WLEDs), using S,N-C-dots as a doping fluorophore. Moreover, we conducted some comparative experiments to prove that the unique properties of the S,N-C-dots were ascribed to the co-doping effects of S and N atoms. The yellow emission originates from the intrinsic state emission and the blue emission originates from the surface energy trap emission. This study presents a facile preparation of highly efficient dual-emissive S,N-C-dots and provides a new strategy to develop various solid-state lighting materials.

Vascular endothelial dysfunction is the major contributing factor to hypertension. Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) are essential for endogenous vascular endothelial renovation. The activity and number of circulating EPCs are preserved in prehypertensive premenopausal females according to our previous research. However, the changes of EPCs in prehypertensive postmenopausal females are poorly understood, and the mechanisms responsible for the loss of the gender protection advantage of cardiovascular disease remain unexplored. In order to determine the effects of EPCs in prehypertensive postmenopausal females, the number and activity of circulating EPCs were tested in the present study. Next, the function of EPCs secreting nitric oxide (NO), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and granulocyte‑macrophage colony‑stimulating factor (GM‑CSF), as well as their concentration in the plasma, were measured. The association between flow‑mediated dilation (FMD) and EPC secretion was also assessed. Attenuation of proliferation and migration of EPCs was observed in prehypertensive patients in comparison with normotensive subjects. In addition, a reduced NO production secreted by EPCs was detected in prehypertensive patients as compared with that in normotensive patients. There was no significant difference in EPC function between postmenopausal females and age‑matched males. Finally, the association between FMD and NO production was validated. Collectively, these data indicated that impaired EPCs mediated vasodilation dysfunction via decreasing NO production. Therefore, EPC function enhancement and NO level augmentation are emerging as novel therapeutic strategies for prehypertension therapy.

A portable multiplexed bar-chart SpinChip (MB-SpinChip) integrated with nanoparticle-mediated magnetic aptasensors was developed for visual quantitative instrument-free detection of multiple pathogens. This versatile multiplexed SpinChip combines aptamer-specific recognition and nanoparticle-catalyzed pressure amplification to achieve a sample-to-answer output for sensitive point-of-care testing (POCT). This is the first report of pathogen detection using a volumetric bar-chart chip, and it is also the first bar-chart chip using a "spinning" mechanism to achieve multiplexed bar-chart detection. Additionally, the introduction of the spin unit not only enabled convenient sample introduction from one inlet to multiple separate channels in the multiplexed detection, but also elegantly solved the pressure cross-interference problem in the multiplexed volumetric bar-chart chip. This user-friendly MB-SpinChip allows visual quantitative detection of multiple pathogens simultaneously with high sensitivity but without utilizing any specialized instruments. Using this MB-SpinChip, three major foodborne pathogens including Salmonella enterica, Escherichia coli, and Listeria monocytogenes were specifically quantified in apple juice with limits of detection of about 10 CFU/mL. This MB-SpinChip with a bar-chart-based visual quantitative readout has great potential for the rapid simultaneous detection of various pathogens at the point of care and wide applications in food safety, environmental surveillance, and infectious disease diagnosis.

Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) contribute to the endogenous endothelial repair program during hypercholesterolemia. EPC count and migratory and proliferative capacities remain unchanged in the premenopausal female with hypercholesterolemia. However, the changes of count and activity of circulating EPCs in the hypercholesterolemic postmenopausal females are unknown. Here, we find that the migratory and proliferative capacities of circulating EPCs were decreased in patients with hypercholesterolemia versus normocholesterolemia. No significant differences were found between postmenopausal females and age-matched males. NO production showed positive correlation with the activity and count of circulating EPCs in patients with hypercholesterolemia. Flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) is directly interrelated with EPC counts and function. Our findings reveal that decreased EPC count and endothelial dysfunction lead to less NO production in hypercholesterolemic postmenopausal females. Maintaining the EPC numbers and activity might be emerging as a potential therapeutic strategy to reduce the risk of cardiovascular injury in elder women.

The purposes of this study were to evaluate the expression of retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4) in diabetic rats with atherosclerosis and to investigate the role of vitamin D intervention. Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, including the control group (NC), the diabetic rats (DM1), the untreated diabetic atherosclerosis rats (DM2), and the vitamin D-treated diabetic atherosclerosis rats (DM3). The levels of serum and adipose RBP4, fasting insulin (FINS), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], C-reactive protein (CRP), and systolic blood pressure (SBP) were measured. Homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), homeostasis model assessment β-cell function index (HOMA-β), and atherogenic indexes (AI) were calculated. Compared with group NC, the levels of RBP4, TG, LDL-c, FPG, FINS, CRP, AI1, AI2, SBP, and HOMA-IR increased, while the levels of HDL-c, 25(OH)D, and HOMA-β decreased in groups DM1 and DM2. After 8 weeks of vitamin D supplementation in group DM3, the levels of 25(OH)D and HOMA-β increased and the levels of LDL-c, TC, HOMA-IR, FINS, CRP, RBP4, AI1, AI2, and SBP decreased significantly when compared with group DM2 (P<0.05); Pearson analysis showed that serum RBP4 was positively correlated with TG, FINS, HOMA-IR, SBP, CRP, and AI and negatively correlated with 25(OH)D. In addition, multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that serum RBP4, SBP, and HDL-c were predictors for the presence of diabetic atherosclerosis. These findings suggested that RBP4 could involve in the improvement of diabetic atherosclerosis; vitamin D had the ability to decrease the level of RBP4 and eventually played an important role in preventing atherosclerosis in diabetes.

The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentrations and lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients and to investigate the intervention effect of vitamin D. 145 subjects were assigned to a control group (Group NC), T2DM group (Group DM1), and T2DM complicated with LEAD group (Group DM2); then Group DM2 were randomly divided into Group DM3 who received oral hypoglycemic agents and Group DM4 who received oral hypoglycemic drugs and vitamin D3 therapy. Compared to Group NC, 25(OH)D was significantly lower in Group DM2 and marginally lower in Group DM1. In contrast to baseline and Group DM3, 25(OH)D rose while low density lipoprotein (LDL), retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4), and HbA1c significantly lowered in Group DM4. Statistical analysis revealed that 25(OH)D had a negative correlation with RBP4, duration, HbA1c, homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and fasting plasma glucose (FPG). LDL, systolic blood pressure (SBP), FPG, and smoking were risk factors of LEAD while high density lipoprotein (HDL) and 25(OH)D were protective ones. Therefore, we deduced that low level of 25(OH)D is significantly associated with the occurrence of T2DM complicated with LEAD.

Background: Colorectal Adenomatous Polyp (CAP) was one precursor of colorectal cancer (CRC) and having a high chance of developing into CRC. There was a lack of conclusive chemoprevention evidences to prevention new CAP occurrence in post-polypectomy. Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction, Chinese National Medical Professor (Zhou Zhongying)'s experience formula, has been used to treat new CAP occurrence in post-polypectomy from the 20th century in China. However, clinical research of Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction in the treatment of CAP recurrence was lack. We design this study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction in the treatment of new CAP occurrence in post-polypectomy on colonoscopy. Methods/Design: A randomized, controlled, blind and multicenter trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction is proposed. CAP patients (after complete polypectomy under colonoscopy) will be randomly assigned into Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction group and Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction mimetic agent group. Patients will receive 6-course treatments and a 2-year follow-up. Follow-up colonoscopy will be anticipated to perform in 1 and 2 years after the baseline examinations. The primary outcome measure is the new CAP occurrence in 1 and 2 years. The secondary outcome measure is the occurrence of advanced adenoma in 1 and 2 years. Discussion: This study will provide objective evidences to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction as an adjuvant treatment for new CAP occurrence in post-polypectomy. Aiming at the human body exoskeleton motion intention recognition process, based on the pressure signals of muscle groups of control, building joint motion information acquisition system, the application of multi-sensor information fusion technique based on neural network, based on the piezoelectric signal muscle as input and output of the joint angle trajectory motion intention model, calculate the joint exercise intention and angle track. Finally, the knee flexion and extension movement as the main object of study, through calculation and practical test, the ideal results are obtained. It shows that the motion signals of the knee joint can be reflected by the piezoelectric signals collected during the motion of the knee joint.

This paper makes a numerical simulation for a high-rise frame building with the basement by using the structural analysis program SAP2000. The seismic response of the building under interaction of pile-soil-structure (SSPI) is analyzed. A parametric study that involves evaluating the linear elastic seismic performance of eleven, thirteen and fifteen story buildings with one underground story, and buildings having one, two, three and four underground stories, and the influence of different soil stiffness was performed. It is found that the SSPI can greatly affect the seismic response of buildings in terms of the dynamic characteristics and deformation behavior. It is found that, for some of the cases considered, SSPI effects increase both the vibration period and horizontal displacement of the buildings. And some rules on seismic performance of buildings with the influence of parameter variation are summarized.

This study aims to investigate the expression of retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) and the activity of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) in diabetic rats with atherosclerosis, and to evaluate the intervention effect of pioglitazone. A total of 75 Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: Normal control (NC), diabetic rats (DM1), diabetic rats with atherosclerosis (DM2) and diabetic rats treated with pioglitazone (DM + Pio). The activity of NF-κB, the levels of serum and adipose tissue RBP4, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c), triglycerides (TG) and arteria caudilis systolic blood pressure (SBP) were measured. Percentage of fat mass (PFM), atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were calculated. Compared with the NC and DM + Pio groups, all the parameters mentioned above increased significantly in the DM1 and DM2 groups, with the exception that HDL-c decreased. Pearson analysis showed that RBP4 in serum and adipose tissue were positively associated with TG, LDL-c, FINS, PFM, AIP, HOMA-IR, NF-κB, SBP and negatively associated with HDL-c. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that serum RBP4 and TG were predictors for the presence of diabetic atherosclerosis. In conclusion, RBP4 may be an effective predictor for diabetic atherosclerosis; pioglitazone is able to decrease RBP4 and NF-κB, which may partly contribute to its protective effect against diabetic atherosclerosis.

Generalized signcryption can adaptively work as an encryption scheme, a signature scheme or a signcryption scheme with only one algorithm. It is very suitable for storage-constrained environments. In this paper, we introduce a formal security model for certificateless generalized signcryption schemes secure against the malicious-but-passive key generation center attacks and propose a novel scheme. Our scheme is proved to be IND-CCA2 secure under the GBDH assumption and CDH assumption and existentially unforgeable under the GDH' assumption and CDH assumption in random oracle model. Furthermore, performance analysis shows the proposed scheme is efficient and practical.

Although modern bridge are carefully designed and well constructed, damage may occur in them due to unexpected causes. Currently, many different techniques have been proposed and investigated in bridge condition assessment. However, evaluation efficiency of condition assessment has not been paid much attention by the researchers. Background Comparison of diagnostic efficiency of four ELISA kits for determining HBsAg. Methods Collecting 348 serum samples from clinical laboratory of Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University without specific gender and age requirements, determining HBsAg by the four ELISA kits, simultaneously. Confirmatory test was carried out when the initial results are positive. Results 329 out of 348 samples results were consistent (94.5%), 152 out of 329 were positive, and 177 out of 329 were negative, and all the positive results can be confirmed; 19 samples were not consistent (5.5%), and only 1 sample was confirmed by the confirmatory test. After calculation, the diagnostic efficiencies of the four ELISA kits (Beijing Wantai, Xiamen Xinchuang, Zhuhai Lizhu, and Shanghai Kehua) were 98.6%, 98.0%, 99.7%, and 97.4%, respectively, the sensitivities were 100%, 99.4%, 99.4%, and 100%, respectively, the specificities were 97.5%, 96.9%, 100%, and 95.4%, respectively, the false positive rates were 2.5%, 3.1%, 0, and 4.6%, respectively, and the false negative rates were 0, 0.6%, 0.6%, and 0, respectively. All the initial absorbencies of the false positive samples were less than 1.0. Conclusion The diagnostic efficiency of Lizhu is the highest, while Kehua is the lowest. False positive or false negative results would take place in any of the kits, an HBsAg confirmatory test is essential for initially positive samples, especially with absorbance

Pulse-taking is one of the very important skills of examining disease in traditional Chinese medical(TCM), but during the pulse-taking process, doctor's subjective factor effects a lot, It's hard to make pulse description to normalization, standardization, digitization, This thesis plan to design a three-dimensional force sensing pulse sensor which is convenient for checking the axial tensile force and radial pulse force at the same time, to perceive information of pulse, also to do some basic work to achieve pulse objectification and standardization of teaching, in this paper, through dynamic test and analysis and pulse measurement experiments to prove its use value, and confirmed with higher accuracy and practicality.

The fault signal of rolling bearing has the feature of nonstationarity. To apply wavelet packet to decompose and reconstruct the vibrational signals collected from testing at first, then the Hilbert operator was applied to achieve the purpose of demodulating the envelope. Finally, the signals after refining envelope spectrum will expand the information of defects. And then extracting the characteristic frequency of fault signals and judging the fault location of the bearing. The experimental analysis shows that wavelet packet and Hilbert operator could be applied to extract the characteristic defect frequency of rolling bearing effectively, and in the other word this method is effective to detect the class of local damage of rolling bearing.

Thermal power plant is a plant which uses thermal energy generated by burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas for generation of electrical energy. But these fuels not only consume energy, but also pollute the environment, so more and more thermal power plant started to use straw as a new fuel which is economic and environment-friendly. In this paper, a microwave moisture measurement method is proposed because of the moisture content is difficult to measure when thermal power plant used straw as a new fuel, and its principle is analyzed and deduced. According to the derivation of the formula, a kind of straw moisture content measurement system is designed. It is convenient to measure moisture content in straw.

The thermo-resistance effect in silicon has been exploited for the fabrication of uncooled infrared detectors. In this paper, based on the Schrodinger equation of material radiation system and the micro-structure of silicon, the infrared absorption theory of silicon is analyzed. The results show that the infrared activity of amorphous silicon is more activate than crystalline silicon because of the fault and long range disorder, and using the impurity B, Li, and H, the infrared activity of silicon also will be activated.

In this paper, the prison monitoring system is designed based on wireless sensor network technology. This system could not only monitor the relevant information about the vital signs of inmates in prison, but also record and check the physical condition of personnel, activities, status and location information at any time, preventing inmates from committing suicide or escaping, and discovering whereabouts of the criminals once the jailbreak occurred. The application of wireless sensor network technology in the prison monitoring system enables the monitoring of the prison more comprehensive, more scientific and more effective.

These special characteristics such as distributed, multi-hop, self-organizing, dynamic topology, time-variant channels, and limited resources etc make the traditional routing algorithms or protocols for wired networks and centered wireless networks can’t be used in mobile ad hoc networks directly. So the appropriative multicast routing algorithms or protocols for mobile ad hoc networks must be designed. In the paper, Combining merits between the mesh-based and the tree-based MANET multicast protocol, we proposed ADMRP (Adaptive Distributed Multicast Routing protocol), whose node can computes forward list dynamically and distributed. This mechanics can save the limited bandwidth, decrease the channel collision and reduce the total overhead of the MANET. At last, the ADMRP is validated by OPNET.

The miniature unmanned helicopter exhibits a complex and nonlinear dynamic behavior, open- loop unstable and a high degree of inter-axis coupling. This paper describes a hybrid PID velocity control method based on single neuron for an unmanned helicopter. This method possesses both the simple structure of PID controller, and adjusting papameters on-line by intelligent technique. The application results of an unmanned helicopter show that the proposed controller can have helicopter achieve stable attitude in hover and improve the stability of the attitude control system. And the fine robustness for imprecise helicopter model is accounted for.
