The presence of mobile-internet has led to the emergence of the e-hailing industry. As the e-hailing services usage increased, it led riders to share their opinions or discontent after indulging in the services. Therefore, in this study, online sentiments on social media (Twitter) with specific keywords mentioned, were examined to identify the rider opinions towards the e-hailing services in both Malaysia and Indonesia. Service Quality (SERVQUAL) model was used as the foundation to examine the service quality offered by the e-hailing service providers. The dimensions included were: ‘Availability’, ‘Accessibility’, ‘Information’, ‘Comfort’, ‘Safety’, and the additional dimension of ‘Price’. All the data (tweets) collected were classified into either a positive or negative sentiment, and to respective dimensions manually, by referring to keywords. The results revealed that all the dimensions show a negative trend in both countries. ‘Comfort’ and ‘Availability’ was ranked the first in Malaysia and Indonesia respectively, and the results shown were due to riders demanded an e-hailing service that is available anywhere and anytime when they need it. The study results provide a strong reference to practitioners to improve on their service quality and allowed to identify which dimensions were concerned the most by the riders in both countries.

Background Traumatic haemarthrosis was hypothesized to be the etiology of temporomandibular (TMJ) ankylosis. Here, taking haematoma absorbance as a control, we aimed to reveal the molecular mechanisms involved in haematoma organizing into ankylosis using transcriptome microarray profiles. Material/methods Disk removal was performed to building haematoma absorbance (HA) in one side of TMJ, while removal of disk and articular fibrous layers was performed to induced TMJ ankylosis through haematoma organization (HO) in the contralateral side in a sheep model. Haematoma tissues harvested at days 1, 4 and 7 postoperatively were examined by histology, and analyzed by Affymetrix OviGene-1_0-ST microarrays. The DAVID were recruited to perform the Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis for the different expression genes (DEGs). The DEGs were also typed into protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks to get the interaction data. Six significant genes screened from PPI analysis, were confirmed by real-time PCR. Results We found 268, 223 and 17 DEGs at least twofold at days 1, 4 and 7, respectively. At day 1, genes promoting collagen ossification (POSTN, BGN, LUM, SPARC), cell proliferation (TGF-β), and osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (BMP-2) were up-regulated in the HO side. At day 4, several genes involved in angiogenesis (KDR, FIT1, TEK) shower higher expression in the HO side. While HA was characterized by a continuous immune and inflammatory reaction. Conclusions Our results provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of haematoma in the onset and progress of TMJ ankylosis. The study will contribute to explaining why few injured TMJs ankylose and most do not from the molecular level.

PurposeMedical tourism is growing rapidly in the recent years in various Asian countries. The success of the hospitals engaged in medical tourism largely depends on their abilities in maintaining the repeating customers and to attract new customers. Hence, the purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of word-of-mouth and social media on hospital brand image. It also attempts to examine the relationships between brand image, perceived service quality, patient satisfaction and behavioral intention.Design/methodology/approachA questionnaire survey was used to collect data from 386 medical tourists to test the proposed model. All the measurement scales adopted in this study were adapted from the existing literature. The data collected in this study were analyzed using both SPSS and structural equation modeling approach via AMOS.FindingsThe findings from the structural analysis indicated that both word-of-mouth and hospital-generated social media have a significant impact on brand image. Hospital brand image positively influences medical tourists’ perception of service quality, and their perceived service quality is significantly related to their satisfaction, which in turn, leads to their behavioral intention.Originality/valueThis study is one of the few studies that considers the importance of hospital’s brand image in influencing medical tourists’ perceptions on the quality of healthcare services that they experienced during their medical trips. This research study also raises the significance of word-of-mouth communication and social media that influence hospitals’ brand image, which has been neglected by many studies.

Context: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is associated with menopause and changes in the proteins of the pelvic supporting system, but there is scant data on the precise alterations in Malaysian women. Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the differences in the extracellular matrices (ECM) of uterosacral ligaments in premenopausal and postmenopausal Malaysian women with or without POP. Settings and Design: The observational study was conducted for 9 months in three general hospitals involving 30 women who underwent hysterectomies for various indications except for carcinoma of pelvic organs. Materials and Methods: Three groups were identified: Premenopausal women (Group 1), postmenopausal women without POP (Group 2), and postmenopausal women with POP (Group 3). Age, duration of menopause, body mass index (BMI), parity, and vaginal deliveries were documented. Only 21 samples of the uterosacral ligaments were stained immunohistochemically for collagen I and III, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) 1 and 2, elastin, and tenascin. Statistical Analysis Used: Image J software analysis was utilized for quantification, while non-parametric statistics (Kruskal-Wallis with post-hoc Dunns Multiple Comparison test) was used for result analysis. Results: The profile parameters were not significantly different except for mean age and duration of menopause in Group 3. Samples from Group 2 showed lower expression of almost all proteins except MMP1 and tenascin (higher) as compared to Group 1. The changes appeared to be exaggerated in Group 3, though statistically insignificant. Conclusion: A significant difference in the expression of ECM was apparent in postmenopausal subjects as compared to premenopausal ( P = 0.05), compromising the uterosacral ligament tensile strength. The findings are proven similar as those changes in women from other studies.

This work reports a set of numerical experiments to understand flow-induced vibrations of the square columns kept in a tandem arrangement. Results on the coupled force and response dynamics are presented for an isolated column and for a pair of square columns in the tandem configuration where downstream column is elastically mounted and free to oscillate in in-line and transverse directions. We assess the combined wake-induced and sharp-corner based galloping effects on the downstream column by comparing with the isolated square column counterpart. It is known that the circular cylinders undergo vortex-induced motion alone whereas motion of a square column is vortex-induced at low Re and galloping at high Re. The simulations are performed by means of a Petrov-Galerkin based finite-element solver using Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian technique to account for the fluid mesh motion. The predicted results of the isolated column agree well with the available numerical results in the literature. The dimensions of the square columns and the domain are set in order to a have total blockage area of 5 %. The effects of reduced velocity on the fluid forces, wake contours, and the phase angles are analyzed. This work is also an attempt to enhance our understanding on the origin of wake-induced vibrations in a tandem arrangement of bluff bodies. In the case of tandem arrangement, upstream vortex shifts the stagnation point on the downstream column to the lower suction region. Thus a larger lift force is observed for the downstream column as compared to a vibrating isolated column. Phase difference between the transverse load and velocity of the downstream column determines the extent of upstream wake interaction with downstream column. When the column velocity is in-phase with the transverse pressure load component, interaction of wake vortex with the downstream column is minimum. For higher reduced velocities (Ur > 15), the wake downstream is very wide and irregular and the phase angle is consistently close to 180°.Copyright © 2015 by ASME

In the extraction of hydrocarbons from the ground, the fluid pumped out of the well is not pure crude oil or natural gas, but a combination of oil, gas, and water, often containing entrained mud and particulate debris. This is usually a well-mixed multiphase flow, which often appears at the wellhead at high temperature and pressure.
