This publication follows the tradition of publishing selected papers from PIALA annual conferences, however, for the first time, two PIALA conferences (PIALA 2004 and PIALA 2005) are published in one volume, containing papers from both events. Both conferences featured papers by local Micronesian and Pacific Islands experts, as well as presenters from throughout the world.
