While scholarship in library science continues to expand understanding of collaboration and its potential to transform the collective collection, librarian acquisitions trips have been largely absent from the conversation. In early 2020, three US-based South Asian studies librarians traveled together to India, jettisoning solo travel in favor of a model of collaborative fieldwork. Using this trip as a case study, the authors draw on interdisciplinary literature to explore how intersecting identities and the embodied nature of fieldwork shape outcomes for the collective collection. They reflect on how foregrounding care in the field can converge with efforts to build more ethical collections. Finally, the authors consider the possibilities of a shift toward collaboration beyond mere coordination, and offer suggestions for how a relational perspective might be advocated for in their work. At the intersection of theory and practice, this article helps readers understand the holistic work behind area studies librarianship, and offers a vision of improved practice in the field. The comprehensive collection of prints by Wenceslaus Hollar (1607–1677) donated by Sidney T. Fisher to the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library of the University of Toronto ranks alongside the collections in London, Prague and Windsor. Based on the extensive unpublished correspondence between Sidney Fisher and Richard Pennington preserved in Toronto, this article describes the formation of Fisher's Hollar collection and Pennington's work towards 'A Descriptive Catalogue of the Etched Work of Wenceslaus Hollar, 1607–1677' (Cambridge, 1982). Examines the contribution of the library to Old Dominion University's five-year strategic plan, which targeted cultural diversity as one of its eight objectives and included specific statements about library support of this goal. To meet its part, the library created a three-pronged action plan for the selection of videos, development of guides to the collection, and an evaluation of the multicultural collection, the most extensive portion of the project. Explains the choice of university minority and international student populations to assist in prioritizing collection efforts. The actual assessment project was collection-centered; project coordinators identified a series of appropriate bibliographies to compare against the collection as the most practical way to meet defined objectives.The resulting retrospective desiderata list identified resources (once funding became available) to improve both the depth and scope of the library multicultural collections with very little impact on staffing. Gifts and donations form an integral part of an academic library's existence, whether monetary or physical items. While monetary gifts are greatly valued, gift-in-kind donations of physical items can also contribute rare or unique items to collections. However, gift-in-kind donations also bring many challenges, as processing and evaluating physical materials can be time-consuming and labour-intensive; moreover, these materials may occupy significant amounts of space and ultimately may or may not add value to the library collection. Providing clear, publicly available gift and donation information can mitigate some of these challenges and help to set expectations for donors by giving a clear overview of the evaluation process and letting them know which types of material are of interest. The author reviewed donation-related webpages of twenty-one Canadian academic libraries to determine commonalities regarding library donation webpages. The literature lacks empirical evidence supporting the claim that the value of special collections in the academic library has grown significantly. Through a web-based survey the perceptions of librarians and archivists (N = 243) in academic libraries were investigated. The results give insight into what measures of value are perceived as important. Minor differences were found based on institutional size and managerial status. More significant differences were found for gender identity. Findings will allow directors and staff to have more productive conversations about limited resources and staff time, and advance professional discourse about the assessment of value for special collections. Collections assessment in academic libraries has experienced a shift in recent years from project-based models to continuous models that aim improve the responsivity of library collections to campus needs. This article reports on how one university library used a library committee with representation from across library departments to develop a holistic, on-going Collection Management Cycle. This newly created process evaluates the entire library collection over a five-year period and aligns with library reporting requirements for university program review to minimize additional workload and improve the impact of external reporting activities. This article discusses the burgeoning "collections as data" movement within the fields of digital libraries and digital humanities. Faculty at the University of Utah's Marriott Library are developing a collections as data strategy by leveraging existing Digital Library and Digital Matters programs. By selecting various digital collections, small- and large-scale approaches to developing open datasets are explored. Five case studies chronicling this strategy are reviewed, along with testing the datasets using various digital humanities methods, such as text mining, topic modeling, and GIS (geographic information system). Reading is a central leisure activity among older adults, serving as a means of entertainment, escape, connection, and/or education. COVID-19 public library closures drastically altered this activity. Based on interviews with 21 older adults across Ontario, Canada, this study explores how library closures in the province affected older adults' magazine leisure reading practices. Analysis yielded three themes: COVID-19 transforming experiences of library as place, COVID-19 as time of loss, and COVID-19 as catalyst for adaptation. Participants voiced the many ways COVID-19 has shaped (often restricting) their choices related to magazine reading (where, how, and what they read, and where they located their magazines). While libraries remained virtually open during the pandemic, many participants chose not to switch to digital platforms (despite their technical proficiency to do so). As a result, they often stopped reading magazines completely, despite the loss this stoppage represented. At the same time, pandemic restrictions compelled others to use the online library services they had previously avoided. Ultimately, participants' experiences of magazine reading during the COVID-19 pandemic further our understanding of reading as leisure in later life and also trouble prevailing assumptions that older adults' resistance to digital media engagement is merely a reflection of age-related incompetence. A smart self-service kiosk (SSSK) in a library ensures that users are able to access library services without the help of librarians regardless of the location. An SSSK is web-based and allows library users to access library services remotely. Library users are able to check the availability of information resources, the location of the information resources, and the number of copies of a particular information resource in a particular library. This study sought to investigate the provision of information services at the National University of Lesotho (NUL) Library with a view to suggest a framework for implementing an SSSK. It could be like a point-of-sale self-service touch-screen kiosk check-out, like those used in supermarkets up and down the country, an information point in a tourist attraction, or a kiosk in an airport that allows people to check in without joining a counter queue. An SSSK would be different for every specific field, depending on the specific planned application. In the field of library and information sciences, an SSSK would be used to search for the availability of books, the location of books and to check a book in and out of the library. For this study a literature review was conducted to demonstrate a need for a framework which involves the provision of information services through an SSSK at the NUL Library. The study identified the need for an SSSK to provide reference and information services at the NUL Library. This includes searching for the availability of information resources or just books like elsewhere, the location of such information resources, as well as the self-checking in and out of information resources in the library. The library users through the web portal of the SSSK would also be able to access the library services remotely. The study proposes a framework to provide information services through a SSSK at the NUL Library. Library staff at the Vasche Library at California State University, Stanislaus used innovative collection development methods to identify potential acquisitions for the Vasche Library's Modern Assyrian Heritage Collection. They worked with a faculty subject expert and the donor, who provided the startup funds for the collection, to search the OPACs of university libraries that had substantial holdings in Modern Assyrian Studies. Purpose: This research studies the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the operation management of Hong Kong academic libraries for understanding the difficulties and challenges for librarians to adapt to the special arrangements during the pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: Qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted with librarians in major universities and higher education institutions of Hong Kong. Participants were interviewed either in the face-to-face format or text-based format. Findings: Participants provided a broad scope about the actual library management and operation changes during the COVID-19. According to the respondents, the most challenging problem for librarians during COVID-19 was to strike a balance between concerns of library staff and users. While they described how these arrangements and changes affected the service quality of academic libraries from different perspectives, the pandemic situation also brought some opportunities, such as pushing the digitalization of all collections and using online resources for future development. A hybrid model for library service would be more common in the future with more demands toward online resources and digital collection, in which academic libraries should be prepared after the pandemic. Originality/value: This paper provided broad insights into library management and the future development of academic libraries for the post-COVID-19 period. Few women major in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields at the undergraduate level. Given the drive to attract and retain students in general, and women in STEM in particular, educational institutions need to know what resources and services might help support these students in their work. This study seeks to provide a better understanding of how undergraduate women in STEM use the academic library. The study involved focus groups and interviews with women at a research-intensive university in the United States. Grounded theory principles provided a basis for analysis of the collected conversations. The findings from this study indicate that undergraduate women in STEM depend on the academic library as a quiet place to study where there are few distractions and technology is easily available. Electronic Resources which also known as the online resources play very important role in academic libraries each day. During the Pandemic Covid- 19 especially, the use of electronic resources in academic libraries became increasingly higher. As part of technological developments provided by academic libraries, it is important to note the roles of electronic resources in contributing toward the SDGs. Academic libraries must observe electronic resources as critical components of the information delivery chain because they help to upsurge access to existing knowledge in appropriate curricula and resources for the learning of fundamental skills, including reading, numeracy, and life skills. This paper attempts to critically examine the previous literature, with the objective of identifying the main themes of research on the electronic resources in academic libraries and the contributions towards the United Nation's initiatives which is better known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 60 articles were undertaken using searches of Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases, were included in this review, covering three major research themes, consist of - electronic resources, academic libraries as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Theories and framework related to electronic resources from previous research provide public libraries with a guide to the factors that may affect the Sustainable Development Goals initiatives in the academic libraries. This study examines the role of academic libraries in supporting distance education at the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies in Ghana. The findings highlight the importance of digital access and resources, information literacy instruction and support services, collaborative partnerships, and user satisfaction. The study reveals that academic libraries have made significant investments in digital collections, ensuring remote access to a wide range of scholarly materials for distance learners. Information literacy programs and support services are crucial in equipping students with research skills and enhancing their academic success. Collaborative partnerships between librarians, faculty, and other stakeholders integrate library services into the distance education curriculum. User satisfaction demonstrates the effectiveness of library support in meeting the needs of remote learners. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided to enhance library support for distance education, including continuous investment in digital resources, strengthening information literacy instruction, and encouraging collaborations and partnerships. The educational system's support for education and research includes the library and information center, which significantly influences how people teach, learn, and conduct research. The present research investigated the extent to which undergraduate and postgraduate students from various departments at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Anantapur Women's Campus, make use of library resources for their academic purposes. The objective of this research is to assess the library resources, services, and facilities available at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), specifically at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. A comprehensive dataset was obtained from a group of 150 students who participated in the online survey and submitted full responses. The study's result found that the majority of participants 32.67 percent visited the library twice a week. Mostly use the library to obtain books and reference materials, and the resources offered by the library. Approximately 62.67% of the participants visit the library to borrow books and read the competitive materials, and 59.33% of them used the OPAC search tool to find required documents in the library. Furthermore, a significant number of respondents (94.67 percent) consistently relied on subject textbooks for their academic needs. However, the study concluded that the extent of library resource utilization does not have a significant impact on students' academic performance. Based on the study's findings, several recommendations were proposed to enhance library usage. The most prominent suggestion was to acquire more current and pertinent information sources for the library, ensuring that students have access to the latest research and educational materials. This paper intends to examine academic library services and facilities for university students at the tertiary level in Punjab. It has been observed that all educational institutions specifically higher education has an academic library to facilitate the students in terms of their academic activities and research-oriented tasks. This study has been conducted to measure the response of library patrons of two Public Sector Universities in Punjab, Pakistan. The unit of analysis has been based on the enrolled students of the University of Gujrat, Gujrat, and Government College University Faisalabad, Faisalabad, Pakistan. A sample of 16 students (8 students from each university and half male and female student ratio) has been selected using a purposive sampling technique. An interview guide has been developed and a case study method has been used to conduct in-depth interviews of the library Patrons. It is worth stating that researchers conducted interviews in the academic library of the relevant universities' main campus. Data analysis has been done with reference thematic analysis technique. The study finding asserted that library patrons reported that research support services and internet facilities had been provided by the library administration. Similarly, the study findings revealed that a silent zone of study, printing, and photocopy facility had been provided to support academic activities at the university. Likewise, the study results indicated that an online public access catalog, reference and periodical section, and open reading area had also been provided by the library staff to the library patron for the smooth running of research activities. Physically challenged students are entitled to all the support necessary to succeed in their academic pursuits. However, the reality in developing countries, particularly Nigeria, is that little attention is often paid to physically challenged students. This study examined the influence of information resources and library services provision on the perceived academic achievement of physically challenged students in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted a quantitative survey research method. A structured questionnaire was adopted as the instrument for data collection. The study population comprises of 348 physically challenged students from Cheshire Special School Ijokodo, Ibadan, Oyo State. Total enumeration was used due to the manageable size of the population. The findings show that the level of availability of information resources in the library is above average (mean = 2.76) It was also found that library services available to the student is above average (mean = 3.07). Furthermore, hypotheses testing revealed that availability of information resources (β=0.420, t=3.690, p<0.05) and school library services (β=1.008, t=6.297, p<0.05) have a significant have positive influence on the perceived academic achievement by the students. The study, therefore, concluded that the library can serve as a veritable evidence of the importance of school libraries in special education and recommends that other schools also embrace the establishment school libraries. The study investigated how librarians working in various university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria, adopt and use artificial intelligence. The study raised four research goals as well as four research questions. A descriptive survey method and random sampling techniques with 450 randomly selected librarians from Kwara State Universities, Nigeria, were used for the research. Five research assistants were trained on how to contact respondents and secure their consent before distributing the structured questionnaire designed by the researcher, who assisted in the tool distribution process. The researcher was able to retrieve 410 copies of the 450 questionnaires that were given to the respondents. However, the rate of return was 91%, which is a respectable amount. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from the respondents, and a simple percentage was adapted for data analysis. The results showed that there was little adoption of AI in university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria. The research also reveals that security scanning devices at the entrances and exits of university libraries are the most prevalent AI systems, while other AI systems such as bots, chatbots, face recognition, touch recognition, RFID technologies, humans, AI classification tools, machine-readable catalogs, and not smart AI features are still missing from the Kwara State University libraries. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from the respondents, and a simple percentage ratio was adapted for data analysis. The findings revealed that AI has received minimal attention in university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria. According to the study, the most common AIs are security scanning equipment at university library entrances and exits, followed by robotics, chatbots, face recognition, and touch recognition. RFID technologies, humanoids, AI classification tools, machine-readable catalogs, and AI smart features are still lacking in Kwara State's university libraries. The results of this study also indicate that librarians in a university library are aware of the many ways in which artificial intelligence can be applied to provide services. The results of the study indicate that obstacles to adoption include significant disruption caused by artificial intelligence in traditional library services, a lack of skills and a need for training prior to adoption, irregular power supply, and a lack of adequate infrastructure for adoption, among other problems. The study recommended the need to organize training for librarians to enhance their skills in using artificial intelligence to provide services, and the university administration and libraries should commit and provide the necessary support for the adoption of artificial intelligence by providing the necessary infrastructure to ensure its rapid implementation. The study aimed to understand the present scenario of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) Library, including service strength, resources, user expectations, etc. The researcher also tried to identify its use of it. User's expectations and identifies the loopholes. A formal questionnaire was formed and distributed to the final-year students who completed graduation last academic year (May. 2022). Recent, relevant articles are also reviewed to strengthen the research. SWOT analysis is also done., IUT Library has been using around twenty-five different country uses, and their needs and expectations vary. Based on the output using the Excel diagram, the researcher found 40.76% of the user comes to the library for reading room use and are more interested in other things. Less priority, highest priority, drawbacks, etc., identified. University library professionals will be encouraged to evaluate their resources and user needs. This paper may help to develop library systems and services that libraries can develop based on the user's needs. Blended library services are reinforced by academic librarians to deal with the challenges that come from the changes caused by the pandemic. Transformation is reflected through information and communication technologies that are in constant development and available to users remotely. This study discusses the extent of usage and effectiveness of blended library services at the University of Baguio library by the students, faculty, non-teaching, and other library users. Blended library services covered online platforms, online resources, online circulation, online reference service, online information literacy (IL), and online want list form. This study used a descriptive research design to gather the information that will systematically describe the current status of the UB library online services. A survey questionnaire formatted in google form was employed to gather the needed information. The findings of the study reveal that the blended library services of the university have been utilized - much utilized by the users, specifically canvas LMS resources of online resources, online document delivery of online circulation and the library e-mail: library@e.ubaguio.edu of online reference service, other feature of blended library services have not been used to their full advantage. Furthermore, the blended library services are highly effective as assessed by the faculty, non-teaching staff, and other library users. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Library strongly endorses additional databases and integration of these databases, library guides, and library services in the canvas LMS; regular posting of the blended services in the UB library social media account and platform for easier accessibility on the part library users; lastly, re-evaluate the way the development, manage and deliver marketing strategies of the blended services. Library resources and services are essential in postgraduate studies to conduct a successful research, demonstrate academic scholarship and gain recognition for creative thinking. However, observations and frequent requests for assistance from library personnel by postgraduate students reveal low use of library resources. Hence, this study evaluated the use of library resources and services as correlates of research activities among postgraduate students in southwest Federal Universities, Nigeria. A survey research design was adopted for the study. Multi-stage sampling procedure was used to select 378 respondents for the study. Data were collected with the use of a structured questionnaire and focus group discussion on library resources and services supporting postgraduate research, frequency of using library resources and services on research and constraints to the use of library resources and services. Frequency counts, percentages, mean, standard deviation was used to analyse the data. Results reveal that textbooks (... = 2.96), World Wide Web (... = 2.80) and e-books (... = 2.76) were the major resources used by the respondents while journal (... = 3.12), books (... = 3.61) and e-books (... = 3.35) were frequently used. Also, reference (x = 2.85) and Wi-Fi services (... = 2.75) were common library services used by the postgraduate students while Wi-Fi services (... = 3.17), referral services (... = 3.16) and user education (... = 3.10) were frequently used library services. Insufficient internet access points (... = 2.93), power outage (... = 2.87), and obsolete books (... = 2.85) were the major constraints' of use of library resources. The study concluded that the use of library resources and services is crucial in postgraduate studies in order to achieve their academic objectives. The study, therefore recommended that provision and preservation of library resources should be given more attention in the universities, while library services should be improved upon for better service delivery. This research study, application of ICT in newly Established Federal University Library in Nigeria; a case study of Federal University Lokoja. The research was guided by five research questions. Survey research method was used and questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Mean scores where used to analyze the data generated. From the analyzed data, it was discovered that ICTs are averagely applicable though it has enormously benefited some library services in Federal University Lokoja, Library. The challenges identified were inadequate ICT facilities, Epileptic power supply and poor network facilities. In consonant with the vision of Federal University Lokoja Library, the library management has fully embraced the use of ICT in information handling and services so as to fit in with the ICT drive of the 21st century. Based on the findings it was recommended that there should be financial assistance from both government and nongovernmental bodies, for effective and efficient power supply, there should be a supplementary standby generator to ensure the continuity of work in the case of power outage, every division in the library should be completely automated in order to facilitate and create an avenue for effective service delivery and computer training and re-training programs should be organized from time to time to assist librarians who do not have knowledge in computer skills as this will aid awareness of computer potentials and capabilities. This paper investigated user satisfaction as a predictor to library patronage among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire by the researchers. The questionnaire validation was subjected to the scrutiny of the experts in the areas of the variables studied; it gave a reliability coefficient of 0.855 (85.5%) for library patronage and 0.837 (83.7%) for user satisfaction. A response rate of 100% was achieved. Data were analyzed using descriptive (percentage, mean, average mean and standard deviation) and inferential (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) statistics. The study revealed a significant relationship between library patronage and user satisfaction (r = 0.000c, N = 100, P < 0.05) among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The study concluded that adequate customer care services from the library staff would increase undergraduate students' library patronage. It is recommended that university management in conjunction with the university library management should ensure adequate provision of relevant and current information resources for the students use in the library. This paper looked at the current global paradigms in cataloguing and the significance and difficulties for library adoption in developing countries like Nigeria. The paper employed a four-sturdy approach to explore the subject. The first approach to the paper put forward the concept of library in the 21st century. The second approach focused on the dimension of information and communication technology in cataloging and the latest modern cataloging practices. The third approach compared cataloging practices in advanced countries with Nigeria, while the last approach expatiated the significances, problems, and methods for libraries in Nigeria to espouse. The paper enumerated some problems and methods that libraries in Nigeria and other emerging countries in Africa can embrace for instance, sufficient funding, adequate staff training, adequate provisions and prompt maintenance of infrastructure, elimination of corrupt practices, and so on. Purpose - The present study aims to analyse the collection development/ access management of e-resources among the three Central Universities in Delhi. The study also analyses the allocation of budget to accessing as well as selection criteria for print and electronic resources. Design/Methodology/Approach - The study is based on the research being done for the PhD work and required data is collected through the questionnaire, interview and observation among the three central universities viz. Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Delhi in Delhi. Findings - The electronic documents are the dominant forms of present-day library procurement in India, with the print struggling to retain its readership. The study revealed the prospects and problems faced by the Libraries in view of access management of e-resources. It was found that inadequate funds and negotiation with publishers are the two most important problems libraries are facing while accessing the electronic resources. As the Covid-19 greatly affected the libraries, so too did the librarians' attempts to reach the library users through online and remote services. These emergency reforms have offered an unexpected opportunity to reevaluate and re-imagine current service models in order to improve the library's user experience. This study looks into the awareness of online library services and the frequency of utilization of online resources among education students during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Descriptive in nature, the study utilized an online survey which was accomplished by 70 students of the College of Education. Findings revealed that respondents are fully aware of the online library services and they frequently utilize the library's online resources regardless of their gender, program, and year level. Findings also showed that the higher the level of respondents' awareness on online library services, the more frequent they utilize the online resources. As a whole, the results imply that libraries need to ensure the sustainability of their online resources and services by providing user education and supporting the users to cope-up with the changing information environment so that optimum use of information resources becomes possible during and after the pandemic. This study investigated the experience of academic libraries on handling of book donations and gifts with strings or conditions attached. This study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The study population consisted of eighteen (18) academic libraries from public and private universities in South-West, Nigeria. Purposive sampling techniques was adopted to select librarians who are in charge of Collection Development of their respective libraries. Descriptive statistics involving frequency and percentage distribution were used for data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that individuals 13(72.2%) are the major source of donations with strings attached and further revealed that 6(33.3%) indicated that the string attached by donors is mostly dictating where the donated materials should be stored or displayed. The study concludes that library managements should publish the library's policy on gifts and donations and also should not hesitate to reject donations that have stringent conditions attached that may be difficulty to abide by and accept donations that will not have strings attached in a bid to provide information to users but should always ensure good quality, recency and relevance of such materials. The purpose of this inquiry is to investigate the usage pattern of academic hybrid library digital resources by history and international studies postgraduates. Qualitative case study was adopted as the research design of the inquiry. Focus group discussion, observation and interview were employed as data tools. Among the inquiry's outcome, it was disclosed that there were varieties of digital resources in the hybrid library under study. It was also disclosed that the history and international studies postgraduates were aware of the available digital resources. However, it was disclosed that only few participants were utilising the library's e-books and databases due to specific barriers. It was further disclosed that mainstream participants were utilising the resources in their IR. Based on the outcomes obtained, it was recommended among others that the library should organise series of sensitisation for the postgraduates on the need to increase the usage of the digital resources. It was also recommended that the postgraduates should be trained on how to access the digital resources. Finally, it was recommended that complex login procedures to some of the digital resources should be simplified to optimise their usage by the postgraduates and other library users. The advent of smart new technologies, smart mobile connections and online services has a great impact on all aspects our life and activities. Also this advancement has many impacts on the world around us. Today, libraries and library services have great impact on the world. The aim of the current study is to introduce readers with new technologies applied to Internet of Things (IoT) that can help libraries to improve their services and increase users' satisfaction. This study also tries to present about the possible areas of implementing the concept of IoT in academic libraries and user satisfaction on the IoT based library services and resources. Online survey from selected Educational Institutions was conducted and Data collected from a survey of a sample of 183 library users to analyse the importance and satisfaction of IoT based services and resources. Possible areas for implementing IoT in libraries - improve access to the library and its resources, collection management, recommendation service, location-based service, appliances management, usage statistics, and information literacy. The IoT technology will notify and fulfils the user-related queries through on internet i.e., self-check-in, self-check-out, overdue reminders, online fine payment, misplaced books on shelves, etc. The study observed that the maximum number of respondents used WhatsApp and Facebook respectively. Meantime, the libraries should concentrate more on interaction through videoconferencing like, Google Meet, Zoom etc. and library tutorial. 73% of the respondents are highly using the Swayam and the second highest is e-Pathshala with 48%. The institutes provide remote based library resources and services through cloud-based access on the basis of IoT i.e. Deep knowledge - remote access, Bookshelf - Mobile App and Ezproxy -Server. Most of the higher educational institutes prefer to subscribe the Deep knowledge portal on the basis of users' satisfaction. In IoT based modern library services, it is understood that three parameters such as Academic Performance Support and Infrastructure are having significant association with the satisfaction level of 5% and training is having significant association with the satisfaction level of 1% respectively. IoT based library services and resources can be implemented in the all sections of libraries functions and services i.e. collection management, Library Marketing services, Information literacy programs, effective utilization of online learning portals, accessing of library resources, etc. ICT and Information literacy should be compulsorily included as part of the curriculum in order to equip the students and faculties for face the current digital IoT environment efficiently. Purpose: This paper aims to explore the realm of literature about personalization of digital library services. This paper focuses on users' unique needs and will identify different types of personalized services. Therefore, this study has identified different types of services personalization in the context of digital academic libraries. Design/methodology/approach: In this research, the systematic review method has been used to obtain the relevant indicators of different types of personalization in the context of libraries. To explain basic indicators, a Delphi method has been used. The Delphi panel's members consisted of 15 experts (faculty members, researchers, professional users and software designers). A purposeful sampling and the Delphi fulfillment process were performed in three rounds. After collecting data, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), inferential statistics (binomial distribution test) and the Kendall coordination coefficient were used to determine the consensus rate among experts. Findings: A total of 103 indicators were extracted for different types of personalization through a systematic literature review. Of these, 90 indicators were considered significant in the experts' view. Generally, content personalization, interactive personalization, collaborative personalization and information retrieval personalization are the main components of personalization types, each of which has its own indicators. Originality/value: This study has dealt with the issue of what is personalized in the context of digital academic library. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide a snapshot of some major collections-related trends and issues in current academic libraries today. These include using collection development policies; demand-driven acquisition (DDA) models; big deals; using the collections budget; rationalizing legacy print collections; stewarding local digital collections; and demonstrating value.Design/methodology/approach A web survey was developed and sent to 20 academic librarians via e-mail during the summer of 2016, along with a statement on the purpose of the study.Findings The findings are as follows: the collections budget is used to fund many costs other than content (such as memberships and MARC records); most libraries are experimenting with DDA in one form or another; most libraries financially support open access investments; most libraries participate in at least one collaborative print rationalization project; and libraries have diverse methods of demonstrating value to their institutions.Research limitations/implications This was a very selective survey of North American academic libraries. Therefore, these findings are not necessarily valid on a broader scale.Practical implications Within the limitations above, the results provide librarians and others with an overview of current practices and trends related to key issues affecting collection development and management in North America.Originality/value These results are quite current and will enable academic librarians engaged in collection development and management to compare their current policies and practices with what is presented here. This paper is to examine the role academic libraries can play to organize and make indigenous knowledge accessible for national development. The target audience for the paper are academic librarians in Ghana, researchers of African studies in Ghana and other stakeholders. This is a qualitative study with data from interviews with the librarians and a desk-top literature review. Academic librarians in Ghana recognize the importance of indigenous knowledge organization, but little has been done by way of research. Most academic libraries in Ghana have the basic resources to manage indigenous knowledge. Academic librarians need to be proactive in their collaborative efforts to manage indigenous knowledge. Academic librarians in Ghana should be proactive towards effective management of indigenous knowledge, for easy accessibility. Again, academic libraries need to be well resourced to manage indigenous knowledge. A review of OCLC Research themes during the past twenty years identifies a shift in focus from the optimization and quantitative analysis of library collections, systems, and services to the study of the needs and expectations of users of library collections, systems, and services. Just as libraries operate within local and global networks and ecosystems, users, with diverse needs and expectations, are embedded in communities in various ways. This new environment changes the focus from individual decision making to collaborative decision making, centering and emphasizing the importance of relationships and experiences. OCLC's research has addressed these trends, providing a path for library leaders and staff to create their New Model Library that focuses on agility, collaboration, virtualization, and space within their work, collections, and engagement experiences. Libraries recognize the necessity to continuously evaluate how well the collection supports the mission, goals, and priorities of the parent institution. This paper shares the results of the local citation analysis on engineering faculty research output from 2015 to 2019 conducted at De La Salle University. Scopus was used to harvest the documents published by the faculty as well as the list of all cited references in those records. The study aims to investigate how the engineering faculty are using publications, especially journals, for their research and determine how successful the collection is in supporting the research needs of the faculty. This quantitative longitudinal study cross-analyzes a shared print repository's periodical supplement records against physical copies to determine the accuracy of bibliographic representation for bound supplements. The authors relate the study's findings to collection managers and library administrators by highlighting prominent issues discovered, and by discussing the challenges this descriptive disconnect may present for shared repositories, as well as any library collection containing periodical supplements. By requesting that participating libraries provide catalog records for materials set to be submitted, the shared print repository central to this study was well positioned to access and analyze large samples of records and materials from an assortment of independent library collections. It was discovered that many periodical supplement records failed to fully represent actual supplement content held, particularly when involving supplements that were bound together with serial volumes. As a result, the authors pose that if relying only on standard supplement cataloging requirements to represent periodical supplement holdings, it may be particularly difficult for those overseeing collection management to know exactly what supplement content is held and bound within or apart from the affiliated parent resource materials. In turn, this issue may result in libraries inadvertently mislaying or discarding valuable supplement content, particularly when supplement information is not recorded and cataloged at the item level. Academic libraries in Ghana have adopted information systems for library functions and services. This study sought to find out how academic libraries in Ghana manage the information systems they use. Interviews and a questionnaire were used to solicit responses from nine academic libraries in Ghana. Findings revealed that majority of the libraries studied did not have an Information Systems Policy and staff were mostly not consulted before the installation of the Information Systems.
