The latest trend in scientific literature review is to scrutinise the practices of false or biased reporting of findings, which is rightly termed as ‘spin’. In recent years, accelerated tooth movement has gained attention from the orthodontic community, but the findings still remain unclear and controversial.

As the rise of nonfullerene acceptors (NFA) has allowed lab‐scale organic solar cells (OSC) to reach 20% efficiency, translating these devices into roll‐to‐roll compatible fabrication still poses many challenges for researchers. Among these are the use of green solvent solubility for large‐scale manufacture, roll‐to‐roll compatible fabrication, and, not least, information on charge carrier dynamics in each upscaling step, to further understand the gap in performance. In this work, the reproducibility of champion devices using slot‐die coating with 14% power conversion efficiency (PCE) is demonstrated, under the condition that the optimal thickness is maintained. It is further shown that for the donor:acceptor (D:A) blend PM6:Y12, the processing solvent has a more significant impact on charge carrier dynamics compared to the deposition technique. It is found that the devices processed with o‐xylene feature a 40% decrease in the bimolecular recombination coefficient compared to those processed with CB, as well as a 70% increase in effective mobility. Finally, it is highlighted that blade‐coating yields devices with similar carrier dynamics to slot‐die coating, making it the optimal choice for lab‐scale optimization with no significant loss in translation toward up‐scale. The co-occurrence of retroperitoneal liposarcoma and a giant colonic diverticulum poses diagnostic challenges due to their uncommon nature and overlapping clinical presentations. Gastrointestinal tract duplications are rare congenital abnormalities. Majority are diagnosed in pediatric age group of less than two years. Lesions can be seen anywhere from the oral cavity to the anus, but the most commonly affected site is ileum (long and tubular) which is usually in the form of cystic masses. The clinical manifestation of Gastrointestinal duplicationin adults is variable, and they are rarely considered as part of differential diagnosis. This document explores the effectiveness of various bioagents, including different species of Trichoderma fungi and bacterial isolates, in controlling Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi, a pathogen that causes wilt disease in peas. The bioagents were tested for their ability to inhibit the growth of the pathogen using both volatile and non-volatile compounds. The results indicate that Trichoderma virens is the most effective in inhibiting the growth of the pathogen, while Trichoderma harzianum shows the highest inhibition through volatile compounds. The study was taken up to estimate 32 advance breeding lines of rice for grain yield and the related traits in three different planting techniques, viz. direct seeded condition (E-I), transplanting with spacing of 15 x 15 cm (E-II) and 25 x 15 cm (E-III). The experimentation was carried out to explore the parameters of hereditary & variability for yield along-with yield components, to study the extent of association and direct and indirect special effects of different yield components on grain yield in rice. The analysis of variance from the experimental results documented significant changes amongst various genotypes for all studied traits with respect to the three-planting spacing. High GCV, high magnitude of broad sense heritability coupled with genetic advance as percentage of mean was detected for grain yield/plant and harvest index. These above-mentioned traits displayed considerable contribution of different additive gene action for their phenotypic appearance. The characters harvest index (%), biological yield/plant, flag leaf angle and no. of productive tillers/plant showed positive correlation & direct effect on grain yield per plant on pooled analysis. It indicated that these traits might be included in formulating criteria of selection for enhancement of the grain yield per plant in rice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Printed lead‐based perovskite photovoltaics (PV) have gained interest due to their potential to be manufactured with scalable roll‐to‐roll techniques. In industrial scale‐up, toxicity of inks can constrain roll‐to‐roll manufacturing due to the added cost of managing toxic effluents. Due to solvent toxicity, few perovskite solution chemistries in published works are scalable to gigawatt production capacity at low cost. Herein, it is shown that for scalable PV production, the use of aprotic polar solvents should be avoided due to their overall toxicity. Compliance with worldwide worker safety regulations for solvent exposure limits could require additional air handling requirements for some solvents, which in turn would affect cost‐effectiveness. It is shown that costs associated with handling of hazardous substances can be significant and estimate an added cost of ¢3.7/W for dimethylformamide (DMF)‐based inks. To solve this problem, a new perovskite ink solvent system is developed that is composed entirely of ether and alcohol, which has an effective exposure limit 14× higher than DMF, making it suitable for industrial coating processes. It is shown that the new ink solvent system is capable of fabricating high‐efficiency perovskite solar cells processed in 1 min on a standard roll‐to‐roll system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Perovskite solar cells have emerged as a promising and highly efficient solar technology. Despite efficiencies continuing to climb, the prospect of industrial manufacture is in part hampered by concerns regarding the safety and sustainability of the solvents used in lab scale manufacture. In this paper, we aim to present a methodology for green solvent selection informed by EHS considerations from the CHEM-21 solvent guide for successful methylammonium lead triiodide (MAPbI3) precursor dissolution. Through the use of this methodology we present a N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)-free alternative solvent system for deposition of MAPbI3 precursors (MAI and PbI2) consisting of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), dimethylpropyleneurea (DMPU), 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF) and ethanol (EtOH). We have investigated 3 candidate solutions with slightly different compositions of these four solvents, all of which produce dense, uniform and pinhole-free perovskite films via spin coating. All three candidate solutions (A–C) match the average device efficiencies of the DMF/DMSO control devices (12.4%) with candidate A, which consists of 40% DMSO, 30% DMPU, 20% 2-MeTHF and 10% EtOH (vol%), producing a champion PCE of 16.1% compared to 16.2% for DMF/DMSO (80/20 vol%). Perovskite films cast from the three candidate solutions show improved crystallinity, higher fluorescence emission, and improved crystal size uniformity than those cast from DMF/DMSO. This work aims to: highlight the key solvent parameters which determine effective MAPbI3 precursor dissolution; provide a set of criteria for appropriate alternative solvent selection; and demonstrate the application of green chemistry principles to solvent selection for perovskite photovoltaic manufacturing. In this study, we designed, synthesized and evaluated, in vitro, novel chalcone analogs containing dialkylamino pharmacophores in the cervical cancer cell line, OV2008. The compound, DML6 was selective and significantly decreased the proliferation of OV2008 and HeLa cells in sub-micromolar concentrations, compared to prostate, lung, colon, breast or human embryonic kidney cell line (HEK293). DML6, at 5 μM, arrested the OV2008 cells in the G2 phase. Furthermore, DML6, at 5 μM, increased the levels of reactive oxygen species and induced a collapse in the mitochondrial membrane potential, compared to OV2008 cells incubated with a vehicle. DML6, at 5 μM, induced intrinsic apoptosis by significantly (1) increasing the levels of the pro-apoptotic proteins, Bak and Bax, and (2) decreasing the levels of l the anti-apoptotic protein, Bcl-2, compared to cell incubated with a vehicle. Furthermore, DML6, at 5 and 20 μM, induced the cleavage of caspase-9, followed by subsequent cleavage of the executioner caspases, caspase-3 and caspase-7, which produced OV2008 cell death. Overall, our data suggest that DML6 is an apoptosis-inducing compound that should undergo further evaluation as a potential treatment for cervical cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
