“Autocontenção judicial” compõe um dos temas do Direito Constitucional que, ante sua complexidade, não apresenta conceituação única. Por isso, é preferível – e mais acertado – falar em posturas judiciais autocontidas, visto que tanto seu conceito é variável e diversificado quanto seu propósito não é idêntico para todas as situações. Assim, a partir do método de abordagem dedutivo, método de procedimento monográfico e técnica de pesquisa bibliográfica por documentação indireta, objetivou-se nesta pesquisa investigar quais são os conceitos e agrupamentos das posturas judiciais autocontidas, a partir da literatura especializada acerca do tema. Para tanto, sem a intenção de esgotar a matéria, apresentaram-se três majoritárias “dimensões” em que as posturas autocontidas podem ser visualizadas, cada qual assim definitiva porque aglutina propósitos comuns quanto ao não agir do julgador, a saber: (1) liberdade de conformação do legislador ou administrador, (2) capacidades institucionais da jurisdição e (3) virtudes ativas e passivas da jurisdição.

Objetivo: Relacionar o grau de desconforto causado pela polissonografia (PSG) com o resultado do teste. Métodos: Estudo observacional analítico transversal baseado em PSG realizado em pacientes adultos. Após a realização da PSG, os pacientes preencheram um formulário padronizado com perguntas sobre o grau de desconforto durante o exame. Essas informações foram divididas em dois grupos de acordo com a presença ou ausência de apneia obstrutiva do sono (AOS), evidenciada de acordo com o resultado da PSG pela medição do Índice de Apneia e Hipopneia (IAH). A análise foi univariada e o teste do qui-quadrado foi utilizado como medida de associação para variáveis qualitativas e, para variáveis não paramétricas, o teste de Mann-Whitney, com intervalo de confiança de 95% (IC 95%) e valor p significativo inferior a 0,05. Resultados: Foram incluídos 594 pacientes de polissonografia, sendo 279 (46,97%) homens e 315 (53,03%) mulheres. O grupo de 30 a 44,9 anos apresentou o maior número de pacientes (43,43%) e a maioria com obesidade (65,16%). O fator que mais incomodou os pacientes foi a presença de fios durante o exame. As variáveis de latência do sono (p 0,55*), número de despertares (p = 0,46*), horas totais dormidas (p = 0,98*) e pontuação do sono (p = 0,36*) não apresentaram relação significativa com o diagnóstico de AOS. O grau de desconforto não apresentou relação significativa com o resultado da PSG (p = 0,565**). Conclusão: Apesar do desconforto durante a PSG, este fator não interfere no resultado do teste quanto à presença ou ausência de AOS.

Resumo Objetivo: O objetivo do presente estudo é descrever a epidemiologia, o tratamento e os resultados clínicos e radiográficos dos casos de hálux valgo traumático associados a lesões dos raios laterais. Métodos: avaliação clínica e radiográfica (ângulo de valgismo do hálux) de sete pacientes que sofreram acidentes de transito e apresentaram hálux valgo pós traumático associado à lesões dos raios laterais. Resultados: todos os pacientes foram submetidos à reparo ligamentar medial para tratamento do hálux valgo pós traumático, e fixação das fraturas associadas. Em um seguimento mínimo de 12 meses os pacientes evoluíram bem, sem dor com correção média do ângulo de valgismo do hálux de 13,7 graus. Conclusão: Os casos de hálux valgo pós traumático associados à lesão dos raios laterais, tratados com reparo ligamentar e fixação das fraturas associadas apresentaram bons resultados clínico funcionais e radiográficos a curto e médio prazo. Estudos envolvendo bactérias promotoras de crescimento de plantas vêm chamando cada vez mais atenção no setor agrícola, devido ao seu potencial para melhorar o crescimento, produção e proteger as plantas dos estresses bióticos e abióticos. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito de três espécies de bactérias promotoras de crescimento de plantas (Bacillus subtilis, Priestia megaterium e Priestia aryabhattai) no crescimento e nos aspectos morfológicos e bioquímicos de plântulas de Gossypium hirsutumL. (algodão). O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação com quatro tratamentos (um controle e três inoculações) e cinco repetições por tratamento. As sementes foram inoculadas por imersão em suspensões bacterianas (109 UFC/mL) e então semeadas em vasos. As plantas foram acompanhadas por 60 dias. Na coleta, as plantas foram mensuradas quanto à massa fresca das raízes e da parte aérea, à altura da parte aérea, ao diâmetro do caule e número de folhas. Amostras foliares foram submetidas às análises bioquímicas. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que sementes tratadas com P. aryabhattai tiveram melhorias significativas nos parâmetros de massa fresca, altura da planta, diâmetro do caule e número de folhas e nos teores de clorofila (a, b e total), nitrogênio e proteínas em relação às plantas do tratamento controle. Plantas tratadas com P. megaterium também obtiveram melhorias na massa fresca, no diâmetro do caule e nos teores de nitrogênio e proteínas. Esses resultados indicam um potencial dessas bactérias promotoras de crescimento de plantas para utilização em culturas do algodão, podendo ser empregadas na elaboração de bioestimulantes e biofertilizantes.

Abstract Although some studies have shown neuroimaging and neuropsychological alterations in post-COVID-19 patients, fewer combined neuroimaging and neuropsychology evaluations of individuals who presented a mild acute infection. Here we investigated cognitive dysfunction and brain changes in a group of mildly infected individuals. We conducted a cross-sectional study of 97 consecutive subjects (median age of 41 years) without current or history of psychiatric symptoms (including anxiety and depression) after a mild infection, with a median of 79 days (and mean of 97 days) after diagnosis of COVID-19. We performed semi-structured interviews, neurological examinations, 3T-MRI scans, and neuropsychological assessments. For MRI analyses, we included a group of non-infected 77 controls. The MRI study included white matter (WM) investigation with diffusion tensor images (DTI) and functional connectivity with resting-state functional MRI (RS-fMRI). The patients reported memory loss (36%), fatigue (31%) and headache (29%). The quantitative analyses confirmed symptoms of fatigue (83% of participants), excessive somnolence (35%), impaired phonemic verbal fluency (21%), impaired verbal categorical fluency (13%) and impaired logical memory immediate recall (16%). The WM analyses with DTI revealed higher axial diffusivity values in post-infected patients compared to controls. Compared to controls, there were no significant differences in the functional connectivity of the posterior cingulum cortex. There were no significant correlations between neuropsychological scores and neuroimaging features (including DTI and RS-fMRI). Our results suggest persistent cognitive impairment and subtle white matter abnormalities in individuals mildly infected without anxiety or depression symptoms. The longitudinal analyses will clarify whether these alterations are temporary or permanent.

With the increase in population, it is increasingly necessary to produce food more efficiently. This has expanded the market for additives, which are products that directly (nutritional effect) or indirectly (effect on animal health) favor productivity. Guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) is a natural precursor of creatine. It acts as an energy reserve in skeletal muscle. In addition to being a compound with more significant bioavailability, it is more thermally stable and less expensive than creatine. Therefore, this study aimed to determine whether adding GAA to the cattle diet would alter the meat’s composition and fatty acid profile. We used 24 Holstein cattle males (409 ± 5.6 kg), approximately 15 months old, and separated them into four homogeneous groups, one being the control group and three groups with various dosages of GAA in the diets (3.3; 6.6, and 9.9 g/animal/day), for an experimental period of 60 days. Blood, rumen fluid, and animal weighing were performed at three points (days 1, 30, and 60), and daily feed consumption was measured. Steers fed with GAA (9.9 g/d) showed a 16.9% increase in average daily gain (ADG) compared to the control group. These same animals (T-9.9 group) fed with GAA showed a 20% increase in fed efficiency compared to the control group. Lower leukocyte, lymphocyte, and granulocyte counts and lower cholesterol levels were observed in animals that consumed 6.6 g and 9.9 g/d GAA compared to the control group. Animals from the T-6.6 and T-9.9 groups showed 30% and 27.6% reduced bacterial activity in the rumen compared to the control group, respectively. Steers from the T-6.6 and T-9.9 groups fed with GAA showed a 20% and 37% increase in short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) compared to the control group, respectively. A higher concentration of acetic, propionic, and butyric acids in the ruminal fluid of cattle T-9.9 group was observed at day 60. The two highest doses of GAA showed lower fat levels in the meat, just as the cattle that received 9.9 g/d showed higher levels of total polyunsaturated fatty acids. Complementary data results draw attention to the dose of 9.9 g/d GAA in cattle diets, as anti-inflammatory action can be seen and combined with a higher concentration of SCFAs, consequently increases weight gain. We concluded that consuming this GAA increases the concentration of some unsaturated fatty acids (omegas) in the meat, which adds quality to the product for the consumer.

A hydro–solar hybrid system is an important solution for expanding renewable generation capacity under the percepts of the energy transition. This type of association allows for the coordinated dispatch of solar and hydropower plants, resulting in operational benefits in terms of energy generation and reservoir management, that is, the better use of available water and energy resources. As in this case, the operation of the hydropower plant is associated with the cascade in which it operates, when it is hybridized (for example, by associating with a solar power plant), in addition to local changes, there are impacts on the operating conditions of the other hydropower plants in the same cascade. From such a perspective, this study presents an energy system management model for hybrid power plants composed of hydro and solar sources, aiming to optimize the joint operation and measure the operational consequences at the local level and in the cascade. The results from a case study of a hydro–solar power plant hybridization in the Tietê River (Brazil) revealed increased energy production and improvement in the operating conditions of the cascade’s reservoirs, while the grid capacity was found to be an important constraint that limits the capture of synergies resulting from the generation sources complementarity and thus on the benefits to the cascade.

Water deficiency has been recognized as a major abiotic stress that causes losses in maize crops around the world. The maize crop is very important due to the range of products that are derived from this plant. A potential way to reduce the damages caused by water deficiency in maize crops is through the association with plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). To define the mechanisms developed by associative PGPB and AMF in maize that are involved in protection against moderate drought (MD), this study evaluated the biometrical, anatomical, biochemical, and physiological parameters of maize grown under MD and inoculated with different PGPB (Azospirillum brasilense strain Ab-V5 and Bacillus sp. strain ZK) and with AMF. The relative water content did not change in the treatments. The association with ZK increased the shoot:total ratio, total dry weight, maximum quantum yield of photosystem II, vascular cylinder thickness, and vascular cylinder area. The Ab-V5 inoculation led to an increment in root dry weight, the area of metaxylem vessel elements, and nitrate reductase activity. The AMF association did not lead to changes in the measured parameters. The results indicate that the association with PGPB is a relevant alternative to contribute to reducing losses in maize crops under drought. However, AMF is not indicated for this crop under drought.

Este texto tem como tema a pesquisa em Educação Especial realizada por alunos e seus orientadores no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba desde sua criação, em 1972. Integram as discussões um histórico da construção da Educação Especial como área de investigação no PPGE - UNIMEP e um levantamento de teses e dissertações defendidas entre 2004 e 2021 e disponibilizadas na Biblioteca Digital da UNIMEP. Considera-se a importância de investigar aquilo que foi produzido como forma de contribuir para o (re)conhecimento da história da Educação Especial como campo de pesquisa no Programa e enquanto instrumento e motor para a (re)construção de um futuro plural e possível no tocante à produção científica na área.

A degeneração testicular é uma enfermidade de grande incidência no Brasil. Desta forma, é de extrema importância ter conhecimento sobre o processo da mesma em touros. A variados motivos que que levam o animal a ter degeneração testicular, sendo então uma condição adquirida, mas hoje a mais comum é em decorrência das elevadas temperaturas, visto que no Brasil o clima é tropical, ocasionando então o famoso estresse térmico testicular em bovinos, gerando alterações na espermatogênese e levando a queda na qualidade do sêmen ejaculado. A dificuldade por diagnóstico precocemente na degeneração testicular tem impedido que seja realizado o tratamento o quanto antes da causa primaria. Com o uso da ultrassonografia é possível realizar o diagnostico o mais cedo possível, bem como sendo um instrumento fundamental para avaliação do parênquima testicular e de alterações. Além disso, tendo noção da gravidade desta patologia na produção e na reprodução animal, tivemos como objetivo descrever as condições normais dos espermatozoides em caso de degeneração testicular, além de um breve panorama sobre a incidência desta patologia e oferecer formas de tratamento como o uso antioxidantes como elemento chave para prevenção em touros bovinos.

Abstract Drosophila buzzatii (Diptera: Drosophilidae) is a fly that breeds exclusively on decaying tissues of cacti species widely distributed in tropical and subtropical areas of South America. This distribution includes biomes in distinct climatic regimes (e.g., seasonal rain forest, semi-arid scrubs, savannas, and grasslands), which at first glance could might give the false impression that the species is not sensitive to either climate or vegetation physiognomies. However, detection of historical demographic events within D. buzzatii reveal the interplay between climate and the population structure of the species as the Late Quaternary climate changes occurred. To understand this process, we performed a phylogeographic analysis based on sequences of the mitochondrial gene COI for 128 individuals from 43 localities. Our analyses combined coalescent methods, population genetics, and paleodistributions estimation methods. Our study reveals that the COI haplotype diversity is geographically structured, with a decreasing cline from north to south. The results suggest an ancient range expansion, dated from 610k to 550k years before present, in the northernmost region of the species distribution, the Caatinga vegetation. More recently, an intense gene flow and a population expansion were detected in the central and south portions of its distribution. The demographic events detected date back to the glacial periods of the Quaternary.

De acordo com a Resolução da Diretoria Colegiada (RDC) nº 277 de 22 de setembro de 2005, o chá pode ser definido como: “[...] é todo produto constituído de uma ou mais partes de espécie(s) vegetal(is) inteira(s), fragmentada(s) ou moída(s), com ou sem fermentação, tostada(s) ou não”. Atualmente, os chás são uma das bebidas mais conhecidas e consumidas no mundo, o seu uso atua como uma forma opcional na terapia de algumas doenças, sendo assim considerados como fitoterápicos, e também pela sua capacidade de apresentar em sua composição compostos nutracêuticos, podendo também ser considerados como alimentos. Dessa forma, esse trabalho tem como objetivo geral, analisar a conformidade de rótulos em diferentes marcas de chás comercializados na cidade de João Pessoa - PB. Realizando para tal, um estudo de caráter analítico, experimental, qualitativo e quantitativo, onde as amostras de chás foram selecionadas aleatoriamente em um universo de marcas populares comercializadas em lojas de produtos naturais, supermercados e farmácias do município, entre os meses de julho e agosto de 2022. De acordo com as análises feitas, todos os 16 chás analisados são considerados alimentos, pois, devido a perda de alguns nutrientes e de metabolitos secundários no processo de industrialização, o seu possível efeito terapêutico pode ser anulado, não podendo ser caracterizado como um medicamento fitoterápico. No que se refere aos chás industrializados considerados como alimentos, as leis devem ser adotadas de acordo como a RDC nº 259, de 20 de setembro de 2002, e pela RDC nº 277, de 22 de setembro de 2005. Foi observado que dos 16 rótulos que foram analisados haviam discordância em alguns termos, tendo um em comum entre todas as amostras, em todos chás a denominação “Chá” estava presente, junto a essa denominação deveria vir a expressão "Solúvel", no qual, nenhum desses chás apresentam. Além disso, foi analisado se havia presença de alguns metabolitos secundários como os alcaloides, flavonoides e as saponinas, e com isso foi notado que, devido ao seu processo de fabricação e industrialização alguns desses metabolitos podem ser perdidos. Portanto, é necessária maior fiscalização por parte da Vigilância Sanitária e do MAPA quanto à qualidade, segurança e eficácia dos produtos vegetais e alimentos comercializados nas farmácias, supermercados e/ou comércios, sucedendo em um melhor efeito e utilização por parte do consumidor.

A ação meteorológica é uma das principais fontes de incerteza durante a previsão para execução de uma obra, o artigo em questão é um estudo de caso que analisa o impacto da ação meteorológica no cronograma de execução de estacas escavadas do tipo hélice contínua. O estudo fora realizado em cinco obras com projetos semelhantes, totalizando somados, 492 estacas hélice contínua executadas em períodos diferentes do ano e em três municípios no estado do Mato Grosso (Lucas do Rio Verde, Sorriso e Primavera do Leste), onde são coletados e analisados os dados de produção de estacas e volume pluviométrico. Os resultados obtidos mostram o grau de influência que a ocorrência de chuvas incide sobre o cronograma de execução das estacas deste tipo, aumentando o tempo necessário para a conclusão da obra. Este estudo encontrou dados estatísticos gerados com base em acervo coletado em campo durante a execução das obras, e apresenta projeções de aplicação dos dados no próprio material de estudo, traçando previsões hipotéticas de acordo com os valores estatísticos obtidos.

Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 is the pathogen of COVID-19. The virus is composed of the spike, membrane and envelope. On physiological smell, odoriferous substances bind to proteins secreted by sustentacular cells in order to be processed by olfactory receptor neurons. Olfactory disorder is one of the main manifestations of COVID-19, however, research is still required to clarify the mechanism involved in SARS-CoV-2 induced anosmia. Objective: This article aims to analyze current scientific evidence intended to elucidate the pathophysiological relationship between COVID-19 and the cause of olfactory disorders. Methods: Pubmed, Embase, Scopus and ScienceDirect were used to compose this article. The research was conducted on November 24th, 2020. Original articles with experimental studies in human, animal and in vitro, short communications, viewpoint, published in the English language and between 2019 and 2020 were included, all related to the pathophysiological relationship between olfactory disorders and COVID-19 infection. Results: Both human cell receptors ACE2 and TMPRSS2 are essential for the SARS-CoV-2 entrance. These receptors are mostly present in the olfactory epithelium cells, therefore, the main hypothesis is that anosmia is caused due to damage to non-neuronal cells which, thereafter, affects the normal olfactory metabolism. Furthermore, magnetic resonance imaging studies exhibit a relationship between a reduction on the neuronal epithelium and the olfactory bulb atrophy. Damage to non-neuronal cells explains the average recovery lasting a few weeks. This injury can be exacerbated by an aggressive immune response, which leads to damage to neuronal cells and stem cells inducing a persistent anosmia. Conductive anosmia is not sufficient to explain most cases of COVID-19 induced anosmia. Conclusion: Olfactory disorders such as anosmia and hyposmia can be caused by COVID-19, the main mechanism is associated with olfactory epithelium damage, targeting predominantly non-neuronal cells. However, neuronal cells can also be affected, worsening the condition of olfactory loss.

Abstract An updated morphological description for Omophoita elytralis (Bechyné, 1956), stat. nov., is presented, including the first account of the genitalia for this species. The separation Omophoita elytralis from O. octoguttata (Fabricius, 1775) is supported by differences found in the median lobe of males, elytral tegument uniform in color (not patterned), and their allopatric geographical distribution.

A existência de uma ampla diversidade de plantas daninhas faz com que seja necessário a utilização de manejo adequado, a fim de não comprometer a produtividade da cultura. Em anos onde há ocorrência de El Niño a saturação do solo é favorecida, além da nebulosidade frequente, essa combinação pode afetar diretamente a eficiência de controle das plantas daninhas e/ou aumentar a fitointoxicação na cultura após a aplicação dos herbicidas. Deste modo, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a resposta do arroz irrigado a herbicidas em função do sombreamento e da inundação do solo. Para isto utilizaram-se dois regimes de saturação do solo após a aplicação dos herbicidas (sem ou com inundação do solo), a exposição das plantas a duas condições de luminosidade, desde a emergência até a aplicação dos herbicidas (sem ou com sombreamento) e quatro tratamentos herbicidas: 1) testemunha sem herbicida, 2) [imazapyr + imazapic], 3) [imazapyr + imazapic] + saflufenacil e 4) [imazapyr + imazapic] + carfentrazone. As variáveis avaliadas foram fitointoxicação, teor de clorofila, altura de plantas e massa seca da parte aérea. Os herbicidas causaram fitointoxicação inicial, entretanto houve uma recuperação natural da cultura ao longo das avaliações. O crescimento do arroz irrigado, cultivar SCS121 CL, foi afetado pelo herbicida, principalmente pelas misturas de imazapyr + imazapic com saflufenacil ou carfentrazone-ethyl. A inundação do solo e o sombreamento pouco influenciaram a seletividade dos herbicidas para o arroz irrigado.

RESUMO O presente artigo parte de debate ocorrido na segunda metade do século XIX na historiografia brasileira a respeito de qual deveria ser o ponto de partida de uma narrativa da história do Brasil: a Europa (por meio do contexto da expansão europeia e das Grandes Navegações) ou a América (descrevendo-se, primeiramente, o território e as populações indígenas). Este debate envolvia a questão de definir os “antecedentes” da história do Brasil, assumindo para a história uma lógica narrativa dotada de implicações. O processo histórico assim escolhido definia um “centro” para a história do Brasil, que poderia ser “interno” (território e populações indígenas) ou “externo” (Europa, ou processo de expansão do capitalismo comercial). Aqui, buscamos analisar as implicações dessa tríade teórica antecedentes-processo-centro na historiografia de formação brasileira à luz, por fim, de reavaliações possíveis do lugar e papel das populações indígenas e da natureza na história.

Abstract The causes of the neurodegenerative processes in Alzheimer's disease (AD) are not completely known. Recent studies have shown that white matter (WM) damage could be more severe and widespread than whole‐brain cortical atrophy and that such damage may appear even before the damage to the gray matter (GM). In AD, Amyloid‐beta (Aβ42) and tau proteins could directly affect WM, spreading across brain networks. Since hippocampal atrophy is common in the early phase of disease, it is reasonable to expect that hippocampal volume (HV) might be also related to WM integrity. Our study aimed to evaluate the integrity of the whole‐brain WM, through diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) parameters, in mild AD and amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) due to AD (with Aβ42 alteration in cerebrospinal fluid [CSF]) in relation to controls; and possible correlations between those measures and the CSF levels of Aβ42, phosphorylated tau protein (p‐Tau) and total tau (t‐Tau). We found a widespread WM alteration in the groups, and we also observed correlations between p‐Tau and t‐Tau with tracts directly linked to mesial temporal lobe (MTL) structures (fornix and hippocampal cingulum). However, linear regressions showed that the HV better explained the variation found in the DTI measures (with weak to moderate effect sizes, explaining from 9% to 31%) than did CSF proteins. In conclusion, we found widespread alterations in WM integrity, particularly in regions commonly affected by the disease in our group of early‐stage disease and patients with Alzheimer's disease. Nonetheless, in the statistical models, the HV better predicted the integrity of the MTL tracts than the biomarkers in CSF.

Genetic and omics analyses frequently require independent observations, which is not guaranteed in real datasets. When relatedness cannot be accounted for, solutions involve removing related individuals (or observations) and, consequently, a reduction of available data. We developed a network-based relatedness-pruning method that minimizes dataset reduction while removing unwanted relationships in a dataset. It uses node degree centrality metric to identify highly connected nodes (or individuals) and implements heuristics that approximate the minimal reduction of a dataset to allow its application to complex datasets. When compared with two other popular population genetics methodologies (PLINK and KING), NAToRA shows the best combination of removing all relatives while keeping the largest possible number of individuals in all datasets tested and also, with similar effects on the allele frequency spectrum and Principal Component Analysis than PLINK and KING. NAToRA is freely available, both as a standalone tool that can be easily incorporated as part of a pipeline, and as a graphical web tool that allows visualization of the relatedness networks. NAToRA also accepts a variety of relationship metrics as input, which facilitates its use. We also release a genealogies simulator software used for different tests performed in this study.

Resumo: Introdução: A educação médica no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19 enfrentou dificuldades e mudanças no processo de ensino-aprendizado. Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender os desafios do ensino remoto na formação médica durante a pandemia da Covid-19 em uma universidade federal do Sul do país. Método: Trata-se de um estudo com abordagem qualitativa, em que os participantes foram 46 estudantes de dois cursos de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, dos campi de Florianópolis e Araranguá, durante o ano de 2021. A técnica utilizada para a coleta de dados foi o grupo focal on-line, totalizando sete encontros. Investigaram-se os dados coletados por meio da análise de conteúdo temática. Resultado: Observou-se prejuízo nas relações entre estudantes de Medicina e comunidade, principalmente em razão da restrita inserção de conhecimentos sobre a pandemia nos currículos formais dos cursos, da diminuição do convívio com pacientes, da dissolução do elemento teórico-prático no ensino remoto pela ausência de atividades práticas e do engessamento do currículo formal. Durante a formação acadêmica, houve sofrimento psicológico dos estudantes decorrente do distanciamento social e da exaustiva carga horária teórica. Conclusão: A construção do conhecimento médico e a oferta de cuidados coerentes às necessidades da população foram afetadas pela Covid-19. Tornam-se indispensáveis o reconhecimento de tal descompasso e a necessidade da constituição de estratégias para solucionar as problemáticas relacionadas às dificuldades encontradas pelos estudantes, com base em seus aprendizados, na resposta aos anseios da população e na necessidade de adaptações na educação médica diante da pandemia da Covid-19 para o processo de formação médica.

Neste texto, objetiva-se analisar a escolarização de uma criança cega durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Para tanto, toma-se como base o relato de uma professora especializada sobre a alfabetização de uma menina cega no contexto pandêmico. Orientada por princípios do paradigma indiciário e da perspectiva enunciativo-discursiva, a interpretação dos dados aborda as condições de escolarização no ensino remoto emergencial, as práticas de alfabetização em braille e o espaço das instituições especializadas no âmbito da política de inclusão. Considera-se a importância de discussões relacionadas ao direito à educação pública de qualidade para o desenvolvimento pleno dos estudantes cegos.

In its historical trajectory, rhythmic gymnastics (RG) has been influenced by Swedish Gymnastics, Dance and Theatrical Arts, being today a sport characterized by a strong artistic and aesthetic appeal. Thus, starting out as field study research, this manuscript aims to bring data, but mainly reflections about the way in which classical ballet classes have been conceived and used in the training of high-performance rhythmic gymnasts. This is field research, with qualitative and quantitative approach (quanti- quali). The sample consisted of nine participants (coaches and / or ballet instructors) who work with athletes in junior and senior categories in the São Paulo State, with indexes in national championships. A questionnaire tool was conducted in the period from May 1st to 15th, 2018, in loco. Data showed that the most used ballet methods are Royal, Vaganova, French and Cuban; that the structure of the classes includes the bar and finalization, and that the planning of ballet classes is collaborative. The main goal of this practice is to learn and improve the implementation of the ballet movements in the RG Code of Points (CoP), and thus, the contents are mostly the higher valued body elements. It was concluded that there is still an accumulation of functions (coach and ballet instructor in one person), a strong influence of the CoP in the training plan of classic ballet classes, which unfortunately reinforces the great instrumentalization of this practice, disregarding its characteristics as an art, and its creative, rhythmic, aesthetic and expressive aspects.

Introducción: La tuberculosis es una enfermedad con impacto mundial, principalmente, en Brasil. La enfermedad posee una fuerte relación con condiciones socioeconómicas precarias, así como con fallas en las políticas públicas para combatir la enfermedad. Objetivo: Describir y analizar casos de TB en el estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, de 2010 a 2018. Material y métodos: se realizó una investigación retrospectiva de casos de TB a través de SINAN. Resultados: Se seleccionaron datos de sexo y edad, con 7336 casos de hombres y aproximadamente 1443 casos de mujeres. La tuberculosis es una enfermedad que afecta principalmente a personas con una edad económicamente activa, entre 20 y 59 años. Los pacientes con bacilos tienen más probabilidades de tener baja educación. La población carcelaria que tiene TB es significativa. Conclusión: los números de TB vienen exponencialmente. Brasil ha estado invirtiendo para diagnosticar y prevenir esta enfermedad. Por lo tanto, es importante discutir estrategias nuevas y más efectivas para el control de enfermedades en áreas urbanas e institutos de reclusión.

RESUMO Este artigo desenvolve a hipótese de que a narrativa de Sergio Moro à frente da Operação Lava Jato se movimentou em torno de modalidades de negacionismo, revisionismo e negação. A negação da política é o pressuposto a partir do qual as investigações deveriam se movimentar. Essa narrativa foi produzida entre 2004 e 2020 por uma força “despolitizada” e moralizadora, vinda de órgãos do judiciário e disseminada pela grande imprensa. Paralelamente à operação italiana Mãos Limpas, Moro e seus acólitos admitiam uma forma de intervenção nos acontecimentos políticos marcada pela ideia de que a operação não era apenas jurídico-investigativa, mas um movimento político capaz de produzir um diagnóstico, uma agenda e mesmo uma “revolução” no país. O evento permitiu a ascensão de Bolsonaro ao centro do sistema político, incorporando o negacionismo e a negação da política oriundos do clima geral.

As ações de tempo e movimento nos esportes de combate tem sido objeto de investigações cientificas, com fins de desenvolvimento de protocolos de análise. Este estudo teve por objetivo desenvolver e validar um protocolo tempo-movimento especifico para o Boxe Inglês, utilizando o software Frami®. O presente protocolo foi desenvolvido sobre técnicas do boxe inglês, foram definidos grupos de ações e padrões de início o final de cada ação. Para validação foram analisados 12 combates realizados nas Olimpíadas do Rio de Janeiro. As comparações de teste e reteste foram feitas usando o Coeficiente de Correlação Intraclasse (CCI), ambos considerando um nível de significância de p≤ 0,05. Os principais resultados indicaram que houve reprodutibilidade classificada como excelente para todas as variáveis (Descolamento: CCI= 0.99 e 0.97; Ataque: CCI= 0.98 e 0.96; Defesa: CCI= 0.97 e 0.94; Clinch: CCI= 0.99 e 0.96; pausa: CCI= 1 e 0.99, para o 1º e 2º avaliador respectivamente; Tempo total CCI= 1 para ambos os avaliadores). Houve objetividade excelente (CCI≥ 0.98) em todas os conjuntos de ações. Pode-se concluir que o protocolo desenvolvido se mostrou válido e reprodutível para analisar de combates de boxe.

A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) analytical method using a modified QuEChERS sample preparation for the analysis of insecticide residues in honey was developed and validated. The use of the Plackett Burman design in the sample preparation step proved to be effective in optimizing recovery and reducing the matrix effect. For quantification purposes, extract-matched analytical curves were constructed showing linearity (R2) higher than 0.99. The precision (RSD%) of the method was lower than 20% and the accuracy was between 74% and 104%. Lower limits of quantification than the maximum residue limits established by the European Commission and the Brazilian legislative framework were obtained. Insecticide residues were found in 37.3% of 51 real honey samples analyzed, with imidacloprid, clothianidin and dimethoate being the most frequently detected insecticides. The co-occurrence of insecticide residues in samples was frequent. Monitoring insecticide residues in honey is needed to avoid consumer exposure at unacceptable levels.

Liposuction is one of the most common procedures in the plastic surgery specialty. In the 2018 ISAPS survey, it was the second most performed surgery worldwide. Due to the repetitive movements typical of the surgery, significant friction is generated at the site, and the consequences are skin burns that can leave unsightly scars and dyschromias. This study aims to create a skin protective device prototype from an old model, which serves this purpose, and to observe its functionality and its effects on the pigskin. The tests were carried out on dead animals without suffering provided by the Veterinary Medicine sector at Universidade Positivo. Three incisions were made in the animal's abdomen to pass the liposuction cannula and another three for the insertion and use of the prototype to compare it with the model device. The established time for liposuction movements was twenty minutes, performed with the 5mm cannula directly in contact with the skin and inside the prototype. The prototype's ergonomics, ease of insertion, and good locking on the skin with different tractions were evaluated. Observation and evaluation of the skin were performed after procedures and incisions' measurements (cm). The cutaneous liposuction protective device prototype presented easy handling and a more efficient skin locking mechanism than the model used. The skin incision for using the prototype was slightly larger, and the skin showed no burning signs.

Artistic gymnastics is a sport comprising a variety of movements performed on apparatus, connected by the art of movement. The Code of Points is a document that brings together all the rules of this sport; it guides the work of coaches and gymnasts, helping to compose the routines presented in competitions. This study focuses on women's artistic gymnastics and the implementation of its rules, established by the Code of Points 2013-2016. It aims to analyze the elements that composed the gymnasts' routines during the last Olympic Games (Rio 2016) and identify the possible technical relations between the composition of the balance beam and the floor exercises in line with the current Code. For this purpose, we carried out a video analysis of 82 balance beam routines and 82 floor exercise routines, in total 164 routines performed by athletes competing in women's artistic gymnastics at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games qualifying competition. We observed that the Code of Points is still little explored, and gymnasts use only a few of the elements available. In this sense, the International Gymnastics Federation and, more specifically, the Code of Points, which regulates the sport, should devise strategies for better usage of the elements available within the stipulated rules.

This study investigated the effects of adding different adsorbent substances to broilers feed naturally contaminated by mycotoxins. Two hundred and eighty male 1-day-old chicks, Cobb Slow® lineage, were distributed in a randomized block design with 4 treatments, 5 repetitions with 14 birds each. The treatments consisted of: T1- basal feed naturally contaminated with mycotoxins. T2- basal feed + Bentonite, Thistle Extract, Yeast Extract, Vitamin E and Choline. T3- basal feed + Bentonite, Thistle Extract, yeast cell wall and Silymarin. T4- basal feed + Bentonite and Algae extract. Performance (weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion) at 7, 14, 21, 28 days were evaluated. At 28 days, a portion of the jejunum was collected in two birds by replicate to study the intestinal morphology. The relative weight of the gizzard, proventricle and total intestine was evaluated. The data obtained were analyzed using the statistical program SAS (9.3). With the use of any adsorbents studied, the performance and liver weight were improved in all evaluated periods. Thus, the inclusion of adsorbents improves the performance of the broiler chickens when the feed is contaminated by mycotoxins.

BackgroundAlthough several studies have emphasized the association between epilepsy and psychiatric disorders, fewer have investigated the impact of epilepsy on caregivers' emotional status, mainly in adult people with epilepsy (PWE). Here we investigated depressive symptoms, suicidal ideation, and anxiety symptoms in a large group of adult PWE and their caregivers.MethodsWe analyzed symptoms of depression [with the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II)], suicidal ideation (with BDI-II item 9), and anxiety symptoms (with the Beck Anxiety Inventory) in a large group of adult PWE [N = 548 (60% women; median age 41)] and caregivers [N = 191 (72% women; median age 47)] from a Brazilian tertiary center, considering sociodemographic and clinical aspects. We also applied the Liverpool Adverse Events Profile to assess anti-seizure drugs adverse events.ResultsWhile the presence (p = 0.026) (and intensity, p = 0.007) of depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation (p = 0.02) were higher in PWE compared to caregivers, the proportion of clinical anxiety symptoms (p = 0.32) (and the intensity, p = 0.13) was similar in both groups. Although the rates of suicidal ideation were higher in focal epilepsy (20%), both generalized genetic epilepsy and caregivers also presented elevated frequencies (11%) of suicidal ideation. The analyses of 120 patient-caregiver dyads revealed that the intensity of depressive symptoms in PWE (but not anxiety) correlated with the intensity of depressive (r = 0.35; p < 0.001) and anxiety (r = 0.25; p = 0.01) symptoms in their caregivers. In the multivariate analyses of PWE, focal epilepsy (compared to GGE) was associated with clinical depressive symptoms (odds ratio, OR 2.1) and suicidal ideation (OR 3.2), while recurrent seizures (compared to the seizure-free group) were associated with suicidal ideation (OR 2.6) and anxiety symptoms (OR 2.1). Also, caregivers with anxiety symptoms were 8 times more likely to exhibit depressive symptoms, and those with depressive symptoms were 8 times more likely to present anxiety symptoms.ConclusionOur study suggests that specific attention for the caregivers' mental health is as essential as PWE. There is an urgent need for more studies involving caregivers to identify their emotional distress and provide adequate treatment.

RESUMO O Complexo de Serras da Bocaina e de Carrancas (CSBC) é formado por 12 serras localizadas no sudoeste do Estado de Minas Gerais que apresentam uma expressiva diversidade florística. O presente estudo teve como objetivos inventariar as espécies de Melastomataceae do CSBC e analisar a similaridade florística com outras 24 áreas dos biomas Cerrado e Mata Atlântica. O inventário no CSBC registrou 74 espécies de Melastomataceae, distribuídas nos gêneros Miconia (33 spp.), Microlicia (12 spp.), Pleroma (11 spp.), Chaetogastra (cinco spp.), Cambessedesia, Fritzschia, Leandra, Pterolepis e Rhynchanthera (duas spp. cada), Acisanthera, Macairea, Marcetia e Siphanthera (uma única sp. cada). A análise de similaridade florística mostrou a formação de dois grupos: CSBC, Serra da Canastra e Serra de São José, relacionado ao Arco Canastra, no Estado de Minas Gerais; e Catolés, Rio de Contas e Pico das Almas, no Estado da Bahia.

Abstract Recently renamed, Psalidodon scabripinnis populations of Serra da Mantiqueira, previously known as Astyanax scabripinnis have been deeply studied in the last years. These populations are small and isolated and occur very close to the watershed between Paraíba do Sul River basin and Upper Paraná River basin, in Serra da Mantiqueira region in the Atlantic Rainforest. These conditions arouse the interest in knowing theor genetic conservation status and how they responded to the separation between the two rivers basins. Therefore, we accessed the genetic diversity of five P. scabripinnis populations of this region with microsatellites and mitochondrial data. The results showed a complex structure pattern that doesn’t match the simple basin separation and a reasonably conservation status when compared with other populations of the same family or with similar natural history.

A partir das reflexões obtidas durante uma pesquisa de mestrado, o presente trabalho sistematiza um conjunto de pressupostos teórico-metodológicos para se refletir sobre os desafios do Ensino Médio para a década de 2020. Orientados pela Pedagogia Histórico-crítica (PHC), a concepção de mediação pedagógica apresenta-se como uma atividade dialética, em constante movimento, imersa na prática social e que valoriza o conhecimento produzido, acumulado e reinterpretado historicamente. Nessa perspectiva e observando a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), é possível viabilizar potenciais caminhos de estímulo ao exercício crítico da atividade pedagógica, tendo bem delineados o papel social da escola, sua atividade nuclear, sua relação com a sociedade e sua contribuição para a formação humana.

In view of the scenario of the relationship between sponsorship and Brazilian volleyball, this paper aims to survey, from the historical and marketing point of view, the sponsorship actions undertaken between a multinational food company and Osasco Volleyball Club, in order to discuss them from the perspective of the main agents involved in the sport - coaches, managers and athletes. This is a documental, qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, which had as primary sources the journalistic reports available in the public domain, published during the period in which the club and the company maintained relations in the sports context. For data analysis, the Content Analysis method was used, in which the research data were organized into three different characteristics that cover the issues discussed throughout the reports, related to the club, athletes / coaching staff and managers. This research is relevant to the area, due to the incipient production of qualitative studies dealing with the relationship between sports sponsorship and volleyball, and for bringing an important discussion of successful cases about the sponsorship of sports clubs in Brazil. We identified the use of different marketing strategies used by the company in the different periods of sponsorship maintenance, which brought positive returns in terms of sports performance for the club - arising mainly from the investment made in structure and athlete development - and in market performance of the company's different brands - reaching market leadership over brands already consolidated in Brazilian consumption. As a case study, the research showed successful strategies that met mutual objectives, by changing the product, the brand, and the uniform, bringing benefits for both the club and the company. Innovations such as the creation of the club's online store, the official mascot, activation campaigns of the company's brands in the gym and advertising campaigns also stand out throughout the sponsorship period. The strategies that were used can be directly applied or adapted to other relationships between sports clubs and companies, contributing to a remarkable return on the brand and its products, and a competent structuring of the sport (from the base to high performance)

Objective: to assess and compare satisfaction, self-confidence and knowledge among Nursing students in the use of simulated patients and high-fidelity simulators. Method: a quasi-experimental study conducted in 2017 with 150 students from a private university The participants answered a pretest to assess knowledge and participated in a lecture and in skills training. After the simulation, the students answered the Satisfaction with Simulated Clinical Experiences scale and the Satisfaction and Self-confidence in Learning and Knowledge scale. The data were analyzed based on non-parametric tests. Results: the students showed high rates of satisfaction (93.5 and 92.5), self-confidence (4.3 and 4.4) and knowledge gain (6.2 and 6.4). There were no significant differences in the comparison between the simulated patient group and the high-fidelity simulator group regarding satisfaction, self-confidence and knowledge. Conclusion: the findings showed that well-prepared settings can be obtained with lower costs, and with an effective impact on the students’ learning.

ABSTRACT Given that many descriptions of Coleoptera were made with only external and superficial characters, an update to the original characterization of species is deemed necessary. This study focuses on updating the know morphological data for the adults of Omophoita octoguttata (Fabricius,1775) (Galerucinae, Alticini), a flea beetle native of southern Brazil. We also give insights on the morphology of its immature stages. The adult can be easily recognized by the pale macula at vertex, six large pale maculae, and two smaller in the humeral region at the elytra. The immatures are similar to other know Oedionychina. Eggs oval and orange. Mature larvae present setae bearing scoli, a reddened body, pygopod present, and lacking stemmata, but with curved hook-like tarsal claws. The pupae present slender black setae through its yellowed body, with the elytral and hind wing thecae curved around the body. The eggs are laid in small clutches in the soil and when the larvae eclode they stay in the aerial parts of plants. The mature larvae form a cocoon of soil matter around themselves for their pupal phase. Morphological remarks for larva and pupa of this species when compared to other members of the genus remain limited, demanding further studies with other species.

The depletion of fossil energy reserves has intensified the interest in renewable energy sources, such as solar energy. Solar water heating represents an environmentally clean technology, with an abundant, permanent, renewable energy source that does not pollute or harm the ecosystem. In this context, the objective of the work was to revisit the theme of residential solar heating in relation to the use of flat-plate solar collectors. This study combined bibliometrics techniques and a systematic literature review. The results indicated that by considering the period from 1993 to 2020, we could find several publications revealing that the interest in this subject still remains high and current. Themes related to water heating and ambient cooling showed consistency in the publications, while studies focused on integrating solar thermal energy with other chemical processes, such as distillation or desalination, indicated that significant research is required in this area.

Este estudo apresenta as ações relacionadas ao estágio e às práticas em contextos profissionais na formação universitária das licenciandas do curso de Pedagogia, da Universidade Federal de Sergipe/Campus Professor Alberto Carvalho, inserindo-se no componente curricular Estágio Supervisionado IV, com vistas a discutir sobre as itinerâncias e a apropriação de aprendizagens em redes colaborativas para a atuação no campo da gestão e dos diferentes espaços e tempos pedagógicos da escola básica numa abordagem inter e transdisciplinar. A trilha metodológica seguiu os princípios da intervenção, baseada em problemáticas do cotidiano de cinco unidades de ensino públicas das redes estadual e municipal, envolvendo a participação de 23 estagiárias e o apoio de membros do PET Educação – Conexão de Saberes, do Grupo de Aprendizagem e Ensino de Física (GAEF) e do Grupo de Pesquisa Relicário. Os resultados sinalizaram que as itinerâncias formativas (re)construídas pelos envolvidos promoveram impactos no campo do desenvolvimento humano e social das escolas e da própria UFS, haja vista aproximar as diversas realidades, potencializar o trabalho colaborativo, criar espaços de diálogos e autonomia entre os atores.

Urbanization can alter environmental factors that affect the morphological and germinative characteristics of seeds. We evaluated the influence of an urban-rural gradient on the morphometrics of the fruits and seeds of Cenostigma macrophyllum Tul. (Fabaceae) and on seed germinability in the region near Teresina, Piaui State, Brazil. One hundred fruits were collected in the urban zone and 100 in the rural area, and the lengths, widths, thicknesses, and weights of both the fruits and seeds were measured, as well as the numbers of seeds per fruit. The seeds were then used in greenhouse germination experiments (during two months) to calculate the percentages of emergence (E%) and survival (S%), the emergence rate index (ERI), synchronization index (Z), and Timson’s index (T). The results showed significant statistical differences between the two areas in terms of the biometric patterns of the fruits and seeds as well as seed germination, with higher values in the urban zone. As such, urbanization was found to affect the morphologies and germination processes of plant species.

A cobertura vacinal adequada é de extrema importância para o controle e prevenção de doenças, além disso, as vacinas são cada vez mais completas. Tendo o calendário vacinal, padronizado pela Organização Mundial de Saúde, elaborado para priorizar indivíduos saudáveis. Sendo a vacina contra influenza, administrada anualmente para grupos elegíveis que comparecem aos centros de saúde. Atualmente o Brasil está envolvido no desenvolvimento de duas Vacinas Contra o Coronavírus (VacCo) que após os testes e a aprovação poderá ser comercializada e aplicada. Ao atingir esta etapa, é importante a adesão popular à vacinação para prevenção de moléstias e para diminuir a transmissão do vírus. Analisar a partir dos valores percentuais da População Estimada Residente no Brasil e Regiões (PopEst) com a Cobertura Vacinal (CobVac) e a quantidade de Doses Aplicadas de Vacinas contra o Vírus Influenza (VacInf), e os números de Óbitos Acumulados por Coronavírus por 100 milhões de habitantes (ObtCo). Após isso, discutir os resultados obtidos, assim, contribuir e ampliar os estudos sobre este assunto. A fonte das informações de ObtCo registrados até o dia 10 de outubro de 2020, CobVac e VacInf, no período de 2010 e 2020, extraídas do Ministério da Saúde, utilizando o TABNET no site DATASUS e openDataSUS. Para PopEst nos anos de 2010 até 2020 fornecidas pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística. Com o auxílio de tabelas e gráficos do programa Microsoft Excel para a comparação dos valores. A 1ª comparação de dados foi entre PopEst e CobVac, no período de 2010 até 2020. Tendo o melhor CobVac no ano de 2015. Sendo o menor em 2016 e em 2020 com o penúltimo. A 2º comparação de dados foi entre PopEst e VacInf, no período de 2010 até 2020. Os valores percentuais para esta vacina não atingiram 9%. Apresentando aumento em 2020 em comparação aos 3 anos anteriores. A 3ª comparação de dados foi entre ObtCo, CobVac e VacInf no período de 2020. Apresentando um possível padrão associativo na Região Sul de menor ObtCo, maior CobVac e segunda VacInf. Já a Região Norte também apresentou correspondências com maior ObtCo, segunda menor CobVac, e segunda menor VacInf. O objetivo deste estudo foi atingido e pelos dados obtidos é evidente o baixo VacInf. Assim, caso os números de vacinados pela VacCo forem semelhantes aos números de VacInf, é bem provável que ocorra baixa vacinação. Portanto, novos estudos com dados obtidos após o término da vacinação são necessários para discutir as hipóteses a seguir, criadas a partir deste artigo: Se os números apresentarem-se abaixo do esperado, como incentivar a população a aderir ao uso da VacCo? Quais os motivos de uma taxa baixa VacInf? Os órgãos responsáveis pelo incentivo a vacinação poderiam contribuir para melhorar a VacInf? Se números satisfatórios de VacCo, como adequar também para as outras? As estratégias do Programa Nacional de Imunizações podem ser aprimoradas para atender a população de maneira mais efetiva?

O artigo investiga a relação entre intervenção estatal e liberdade econômica, que compõem o núcleo da constituição econômica brasileira, questionando seu equilíbrio institucional, tendo como background crítico a perspectiva austríaca. Para isso, aborda-se o modelo intervencionista, indagando sua teoria, fundamentos e operação, em que se constatou sua incidência nos mercados, tanto direto (monopólios estatais e oligopólios legalizados), como indireto (tributação, benefício fiscal e burocracia). Além disso, examinaram-se dois relatórios e quatro importantes indicadores acerca da temática, buscando ratificar empiricamente as constatações levantadas. Concluiu-se que o Brasil, por meio das mudanças legislativas promovidas recentemente, como a reforma na LINDB e a promulgação da Lei de Liberdade Econômica, buscou quebrar o paradigma da prática de um intervencionismo sem racionalidade econômica e sem equilíbrio institucional, aproximando a ciência econômica para o âmago das normas jurídicas, evitando, assim, potenciais arbitrariedades da classe política no exercício do poder interventor econômico.

Resumo Objetivo: Analisar a tendência dos indicadores da hanseníase em Goiás no período de 2001 a 2017. Métodos: Foi realizado estudo ecológico de séries temporais. Indicadores de morbidade e operacionais da hanseníase foram calculados a partir de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (Sinan). Utilizou-se regressão de Prais-Winsten para análise de tendência. Resultados: Verificou-se tendência decrescente na taxa de detecção na população geral (variação percentual anual [VPA] = -6,8 – IC95% -8,2;-5,4) e em menores de 15 anos de idade (VPA = -7,2 – IC95% -8,5;-5,9); e tendência crescente na proporção de grau 2 de incapacidade física (VPA = 3,7 – IC95% 2,0;5,3) e na proporção de incapacidade física examinada (VPA = 0,6 – IC95% 0,3;0,8); as proporções de cura e de contatos examinados mostraram-se estáveis. Conclusão: As taxas de detecção diminuíram, enquanto as proporções de grau 2 de incapacidade física e de incapacidade física examinada cresceram.

Abstract The third instar larva and pupa of Macraspis morio Burmeister, 1844 (Rutelinae: Rutelini: Anticheirina), collected in Paraná, Brazil, is described and illustrations and comments are given. The larva differs from other Macraspis larvae by the head with 6 posterofrontal setae and mandibles with a blunt second left incisor tooth. The pupa is similar to that of M. festiva Burmeister, 1844.

Cichlids constitute a diverse monophyletic group that have developed adaptive strategies to thrive in diverse environments. Andinoacara represents an example of diversification on the South American Andean uplift, providing a key model for understanding the evolution of biogeographic patterns. In this study, we analyzed the species Andinoacara latifrons using two mitochondrial markers (COI, cytb) and one nuclear marker (RAG1) in a populational level. Sequences were obtained through tissue collection and from the GenBank database. Populational analysis showed significant structuration among populations, also corroborated with population pairwise Fst results. Fu’s Fs and Tajima’s D results showed populations that seems to be under populational expansion. We identified 22 haplotypes using cytb. The population associations in the Cauca haplotype are related to the Momposina depression and the mixture of the Cauca-Magdalena river basins in the lower Cauca-Magdalena region. We constructed a new phylogenetic tree, which grouped mainly two A. latifrons lineages: (1) an upper Magdalena and Catatumbo clade and (2) an upper Cauca and upper Magdalena clade. Thus, A. latifrons represents a diverse entity that contributes to our understanding of the evolutionary history of northern South America. Our findings provide insight into devising public policies in determining refuges for the preservation of biodiversity in the lower Cauca and Magdalena regions in Colombia.

Objective: To identify and evaluate the empathy of nursing students before and after a simulated clinical activity. Method: This is a quantitative and quasi-experimental study, carried out in the inland of the state of São Paulo. 107 nursing students participated in the study. A medium-fidelity clinical simulation scenario was built and validated. Empathy was evaluated through the Empathy Inventory before and after the simulated clinical activity. Results: There were positive changes after the simulated clinical activity in the cognitive components of empathy and there were no changes, in parts, in the affective component of empathy. Conclusion: The simulated clinical activity, well outlined in a validated clinical simulation scenario, was able to improve the cognitive component of empathy but was not susceptible to changes in the affective component of empathy, which transfigures into feelings of compassion and altruism.

RESUMO INTRODUÇÃO: a literatura demonstra que alunos que participam de atividades simuladas com experiência clínica prévia alcançam resultados menos positivos em simulação do que aqueles sem contato prévio com o campo clínico. OBJETIVO: identificar as implicações da prática clínica na satisfação e autoconfiança do estudante com atividades clínicas simuladas em medidas de conforto e higiene ao paciente usuário de fraldas descartáveis. MÉTODO: estudo quantitativo, quase-experimental realizado em uma universidade pública do interior do estado de São Paulo, no Brasil, utilizando dois instrumentos de avaliação da satisfação e autoconfiança do estudante com as práticas clínicas simuladas, a Escala de Satisfação e Autoconfiança no Aprendizado (ESAA) e a Escala de Satisfação com as Experiências Clínicas Simuladas (ESECS). RESULTADOS: participaram do estudo 100 estudantes de graduação em Enfermagem. Alunos com experiência clínica anterior tiveram valores mais significativos no item "autoconfiança"; estudantes sem experiência clínica para o item "realismo" das escalas. CONCLUSÃO: a simulação clínica é enriquecedora do ponto de vista do aprendizado, satisfação e autoconfiança do estudante, mas não dispensa a prática clínica real dos estudantes em campo clínico.

Objective: to compare the effect of exposure to unpleasant odors in a simulated clinical environment on the emotions of undergraduate nursing students. Method: quasi-experimental study. A total of 24 nursing students participated the study, divided into two groups, 12 in the intervention group with exposure to unpleasant odors, and 12 in the control group without exposure to unpleasant odors. To simulate the unpleasant vomiting odor in intervention group, fermented foods were used: boiled oats, curdled milk, spoiled Parmesan cheese, raw egg, pea soup, raisins and vinegar. Participants were filmed and the facial expression analysis was performed at six critical points: student approach; report of the complaint; clinical evaluation; and patient occurrence, intervention and reevaluation based on what was proposed by the Circumplex model of emotions recognition. Results: a total of 83,215 emotions related to the six critical points were verified. At the critical point of the proposed scenario with exposure to unpleasant odors, the intervention group presented the basic emotion of sadness and the Control Group, anger. Conclusion: it is inferred that the inclusion of unpleasant odors in the simulated scenarios can broaden the emotional development of health students.

Background: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is highly prevalent in patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE), especially in women, carrying significant morbidity. This study aimed to investigate the cortical thickness (CT) abnormalities associated with MDD in women with MTLE and hippocampal atrophy (HA). Also, we investigated the impact of MDD upon the volumes of the hippocampus and amygdala in these patients.Methods: We included 50 women with MTLE and HA (20 left, LMTLE; 30 right, RMTLE), 41 healthy women in the control group, and 15 women with MDD without epilepsy. MTLE patients were subdivided into three groups: MTLE-without-MDD (23 MTLE patients without MDD), MTLE-mild-MDD (nine MTLE patients with mild symptoms of MDD), and MTLE-severe-MDD (18 MTLE patients with moderate to severe symptoms of MDD). The five groups were balanced for age (p = 0.56). All participants had high-resolution 3D T1-weighted images in a 3T scanner. We used FreeSurfer 6.0 for volumetry and CT parcellation. All participants were submitted to a clinical psychological evaluation through the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV (SCID-IV) and completed the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II).Results: We identified a smaller ipsilateral amygdala volume (p = 0.04) in the MTLE-severe-MDD group when compared to the control group. Our results presented a reduced ipsilateral lateral orbitofrontal cortex (p = 0.02) in the MTLE-severe-MDD in comparison to the MTLE-mild-MDD group. We also identified a thinner ipsilateral fusiform gyrus (p < 0.01) in the MTLE-severe-MDD compared to both MTLE-without-MDD and control groups. A reduced CT of the contralateral superior frontal gyrus (p = 0.02) was observed in the MTLE-severe-MDD in comparison to the MTLE-mild-MDD group.Conclusions: The identification of areas with reduced CT and atrophy of the ipsilateral amygdala in women with MTLE and MDD suggest that the cortical thinning in the network of the paralimbic system is related to the co-occurrence and intensity of depressive symptoms in this group.

Resumo Este texto trata da formação docente continuada e das práticas de ensino no Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE). À luz da abordagem histórico-cultural e da pedagogia histórico-crítica, objetivamos debater a atuação do docente na promoção de uma educação escolar que favoreça a aprendizagem e o desenvolvimento dos alunos com deficiência, repensando as práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas no AEE. A partir de registros de um projeto envolvendo 23 professoras e suas práticas, tomamos situações relatadas em diários de campo, explicitando o trabalho pedagógico e as relações de ensino com alunos com deficiência, dando ênfase às possibilidades de redimensionamento de práticas pedagógicas nos processos de formação docente. Nosso estudo considera a necessidade de uma melhor formação teórica e um maior engajamento político por parte dos professores, de modo que tenham maior clareza daquilo que fundamenta suas práticas, para que contribuam na luta pelo direito à educação de qualidade para todos na escola pública.
