The authors have developed the topology and technological fabrication route for discrete photodiodes (Θ = 0,5—1,5 mm) for the mid wavelength infrared (MWIR) range, based on the mercury-cadmium-telluride (MCT) epitaxial layers. The paper describes technological processes of MCT photodiodes fabrication, including CdTe passivation layers growth, photolithographic processes for the formation of windows for B+ implantation, formation of metallic coatings, chemical surface treatments, cutting of the wafer on the discrete chips, assembling and bonding of the electrical contacts. Optical, photoelectrical and current-voltage characteristics of discrete MCT photodiodes for the spectral range of 3—5 microns are investigated in order to achieve the necessary operational parameters. FTIR transmission spectra were measured to evaluate samples quality and find the composition of x of Hg1–xCdxTe epitaxial layers grown by liquid phase epitaxy method. The limiting characteristics of photodiodes, which are determined by the magnitude of the detector current at the reverse bias and the product of the dynamic resistance at zero bias by the area of the photosensitive element R0Ad at the operating temperature of 77 K were discussed. The requirement for the parameter R0Ad was estimated for the operation of photodiodes of the mid wavelength infrared range in the BLIP (background limited performance) mode for the angles of view qi = 90° and qi = 30°: R0Ad ≥ 5·103 Ω·cm2. It was found from dynamical resistance characteristics that without bias in these MCT MWIR photodiodes R0Ad ≈ (0,57—1,08) Ω · 105 cm2 and these photodiodes can operate in BLIP mode.

Absorption and transmittance of macroporous silicon and nanowires are calculated using the proposed analytical model. The analytical model takes into account the absorption and transmission of the macroporous layer and the monocrystalline substrate. The influence of the pore volume fraction and pore depth on the absorption and transmittance of macroporous silicon is calculated. The macroporous layer and the nanowire layer are considered as an effective medium. The structured surfaces of the macroporous layer are considered as Lambert surfaces. Absorption and transmittance of macroporous silicon and silicon nanowires are calculated according to formulas found analytically. Reflection from the surfaces of macroporous silicon affects the absorption, transmission, and trapping of light by the macroporous silicon. The absorption of macroporous silicon increases with an increase in the volume fraction of pores, due to a decrease in the effective refractive index of the macroporous silicon layer. The absorption of macroporous silicon begins to decrease at high pore volume fraction due to the increase in reflection from the boundary of the layer of macroporous silicon with a monocrystalline substrate. The absorption spectrum of macroporous silicon does not depend on the pore depth when the pore volume fraction is less than 0.25. The transmittance of macroporous silicon increases with an increase in the volume fraction of pores in relation to single crystal silicon. An increase in the thickness of the macroporous silicon and a decrease in the thickness of the monocristalline substrate lead to an increase in the transmittance of macroporous silicon. The paper presents the theory and calculation of transmission, reflection, and absorption of macroporous silicon with through pores. Macroporous silicon with through pores is considered as an effective medium, the surface of which scatters electromagnetic waves. Scattering by the surface of macroporous silicon is taken into account using the effective scattering angle. The effective complex refractive index and the effective absorption coefficient are calculated using the mixing formulas. Derived analytical formulas for calculating transmittance, reflection and absorption of macroporous silicon with through pores take into account multiple reflections from the inner sides of the front and back surfaces. The influence of the volume fraction of pores and the thickness of macroporous silicon with through-pores on its reflection, transmission, and absorption was analyzed. The reflection and transmittance of the front and back surfaces and the absorption by the effective volume of macroporous silicon depend on the volume fraction of pores and affect the optical properties of macroporous silicon with through pores. The kinetics of charge carriers in bilateral macroporous silicon with macroporous layers of equal thicknesses is calculated by the finite difference method. A diffusion equation for a monocrystalline substrate and macroporous layers is solved. The boundary conditions are defined at the boundaries between the monocrystalline substrate and the macroporous silicon layers on both sides. Stationary distribution of excess charge carriers in the bilateral macroporous silicon with the macroporous layers of equal thicknesses calculated by the finite difference method is set as the initial condition. Under stationary conditions, excess charge carriers are generated by light with the wavelengths of 0.95 μm and 1.05 μm. It is shown that at the counting times much longer than the relaxation time, all the distributions of the concentration of excess minority carriers generated by light with any wavelength approach the same distribution with exponentially decreasing value. Some technological features of p-type Hg1-xCdxTe (x ≈ 0.3) liquid phase epitaxy layers grown on Cd1-yZnyTe (y ≈ 0.04) substrates are briefly discussed. Energy dispersive analysis of mercury-cadmium-telluride (MCT) layers and metal contacts (Au(In)/Cr(Mo,Ti)) to MCT layers together with their current-voltage characteristics at T ≈ 80 and 300 K are considered. It is shown that Cr(Mo,Ti)/MCT contacts have ohmic characteristics or close to them at T ≈ 80 and 300 K for both n- and p-type MCT layers. This gives the opportunity to form ohmic contacts to n- and p-type pads in one technological cycle. The contact resistance Rc is much smaller as compared to the HgCdTe p-n junction resistance R0[ RcA (< 10–2 Ω cm2) ≪ R0A (> 103 Ω cm2), where R0 is the zero bias diode resistance at T = 80 K, and A is the MCT (x ≈ 0.3) junction area]. So, such contacts are appropriate for the fabrication of photovoltaic HgCdTe detectors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction L’association sarcoïdose et lymphome est connue avec l’apparition de lymphopathies dans l’évolution de sarcoïdoses souvent chroniques et actives [1] . Le risque relatif de lymphome est augmenté chez ces patients par rapport à la population générale avec un délai médian d’apparition du lymphome de 1,5 mois après le diagnostic de la sarcoïdose [2] . Inversement, la survenue de granulomatose systémique après la prise en charge d’une lymphopathie est de plus en plus décrite [3] . Cependant la découverte d’une granulomatose systémique avérée suite à un lymphome considéré en rémission peut interpeller le clinicien. Nous rapportons ici une étude rétrospective descriptive de patients présentant une granulomatose systémique après un lymphome. Patients et méthodes Les patients aux antécédents de lymphome et qui ont présenté par la suite une granulomatose histologiquement prouvé, ont été étudiés de 2014 à 2017. Pour chaque patient nous avons relevé les données démographiques, les antécédents, la description histologique du lymphome et de la granulomatose, les données biologiques et d’imagerie TEP au diagnostic de la lymphopathie et lors du diagnostic de granulomatose, les traitements reçus et l’évolution de chaque pathologie. Résultats Cinq patients ont été étudiés. Dans le cas n o 1 seulement, il s’agissait d’une réelle sarcoïdose post lymphome de Hodgkin n’ayant pas nécessité de traitement spécifique avec une surveillance prolongée sans rechute. Mais le diagnostic de sarcoïdose a été difficile et le patient a échappé de peu à l’autogreffe après 5 lignes de chimiothérapie devant une suspicion initiale de lymphome réfractaire. Dans le cas n o 2, la suspicion de sarcoïdose à distance de la lymphopathie a été traitée spécifiquement par corticothérapie alors qu’il s’agissait finalement d’une association des 2 pathologies, confirmée histologiquement. Dans les cas n o 3 et 4 le doute diagnostic a persistait et il s’agissait finalement d’une rechute dont l’issue a été fatale pour l’un du fait d’un retard de prise en charge, la rechute étant parfois difficilement décelable au sein du granulome. Enfin, dans le cas n o 5 de la patiente présentant un lymphome B diffus après 20 ans d’évolution d’une sarcoïdose vraie, traité par R-CHOP standard, la récidive à après traitement suspectée sur l’imagerie TEP associée à des polyarthralgies a d’abord était considéré comme une évolution granulomateuse et un traitement par plaquenil a été introduit. Finalement, il est retrouvé a posteriori un clone de bas grade circulant confirmé par l’analyse d’une pièce de splénectomie. Discussion Nous rapportons 4 cas de granulomatose systémique survenant dans les suites de la prise d’un lymphome et un cas inverse pour lequel la question s’est posée de la rechute du lymphome ou de la sarcoïdose après chimiothérapie standard. Pour 4 patients, il s’agissait d’une rechute du lymphome. Il faut se méfier de conclure trop hâtivement à une sarcoïdose et rechercher activement les autres causes de granulomatoses, dont les rechutes parfois discrètes et en association avec le granulome. Le lien physiopathologique reste flou mais l’hypothèse émise serait que le granulome représenterait une forme de réponse immunologique sous forme d’hypersensibilité médiée par les lymphocytes T en réponse à la néoplasie ou aux traitements. Pour le cas n o 5 la question se pose de la présence initiale du clone de bas garde au diagnostic de sarcoïdose il y a 20 ans. Enfin l’apport du TEP TDM dans le diagnostic différentiel comme précédemment décrit dans d’autres publications n’a pas été évident. Il a permis d’orienter les hypothèses diagnostiques avec une médiane de SUV max plus élevée dans le cadre d’une lymphopathie, mais aucun seuil ne peut être précisément défini. Le diagnostic histologique reste la référence avant d’exclure l’hypothèse d’une rechute lymphomateuse et plusieurs relectures sont parfois nécessaires. Conclusion Les critères diagnostiques de la sarcoïdose dans le contexte de lymphopathie méritent d’être mieux définis. La tendance à suspecter une sarcoïdose devant une histologie de granulomatose dans ce contexte peut retarder le diagnostic de rechute du lymphome grevant ainsi le pronostic du patient. Context Emm1- type group A Streptococcus (GAS), or Streptococcus pyogenes , is mostly responsible for invasive infections such as necrotizing fasciitis (NF) and streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS). The recommended treatment of severe invasive GAS infections is a combination of clindamycin and penicillin. Until 2012, almost all emm1 isolates were susceptible to clindamycin. Objectives We aimed to identify the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of emm 1 GAS clone resistant to clindamycin. Methods GAS strains were characterized by emm sequence typing, detection of genes encoding pyrogenic exotoxins or superantigens. Cluster analysis was performed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and multilocus sequence typing (MLST). Antibiotic susceptibility was assessed using disk diffusion and resistance genes were detected by PCR. Results A total of 1321 GAS invasive isolates were analyzed between January 2011 and December 2012. The overall number of invasive isolates resistant to clindamycin was 52 (3.9%); seven of them were emm1 isolates. All isolates had the same genomic markers: macrolide resistance due to the presence of the erm (B) gene, emm subtype 1.0, the same toxin or superantigen profile, PFGE pattern and sequence type. Conclusion This is the first description of highly virulent GAS emm1 isolates resistant to clindamycin in France. Résumé Le streptocoque du groupe A (SGA) est un germe humain responsable d’un large éventail de manifestations cliniques. Les infections invasives à SGA sont en recrudescence depuis le milieu des années 1980. Afin d’étudier l’épidémiologie des infections invasives à SGA en France, nous avons caractérisé toutes les souches invasives reçues au Centre national de référence des streptocoques (CNR-Strep) entre 2007 et 2011 et analysé les questionnaires de renseignements cliniques accompagnant les souches. Pour chaque souche ont été déterminés le génotype emm , les gènes de superantigènes et la sensibilité aux antibiotiques. Sur les 2 603 souches invasives non redondantes de SGA étudiées, 65,1 % ( n = 1 695) provenaient d’hémoculture. Un syndrome de choc toxique streptococcique (SCTS) était décrit dans 16,4 % ( n = 428) des cas, notamment en cas de dermohypodermite nécrosante (DHN), d’infections pleuropulmonaires ou ostéo-articulaires ( p ≤ 0,001). Le taux de mortalité s’élevait à 10,6 %. Au total, 102 génotypes emm différents ont été identifiés. Trois génotypes prédominaient, atteignant près de 60 % des souches : emm 1 (26,7 %), emm 28 (16,4 %), et emm 89 (12,8 %). La prépondérance de chaque génotype emm était variable selon les années et l’âge des patients. Chez les < 15 ans, les trois génotypes majoritaires étaient emm 1 (36,8 %), emm 12 (12,9 %) et emm 4 (9,5 %). La distribution des gènes de superantigènes ( Spe A, Spe C et Ssa ) était restreinte à certains génotypes emm . Entre 2007 et 2011, le taux de résistance aux macrolides des SGA a diminué de 7,8 à 5,5 %. Les souches emm 1 restent les plus répandues, en particulier lors des manifestations cliniques les plus sévères (SCTS, DHN). Summary Group A Streptococcus (GAS) is a human pathogen responsible for a wide range of clinical manifestations. An increase of GAS invasive infections has been described since the mid 1980s. To study the French epidemiology of invasive infections ( i ) we characterized all GAS invasive strains received at the French National Reference Center for streptococci (CNR-Strep) between 2007 and 2011; ( ii ) we analyzed the epidemiological data on the corresponding strains. For each strain, emm genotype, superantigen genes and antibiotics susceptibility were determined. Among the 2 603 non redundant invasive GAS strains, 65.1 % ( n = 1 695) were isolated from blood culture. A streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS) was described in 16.4 % ( n = 428) of cases, mostly associated with necrotizing fasciitis (NF), pleuropulmonary or osteoarticular infections ( p ≤0.001). The case fatality rate was 10.6 %. A total of 102 different emm genotypes were identified. Three emm genotypes predominated, reaching nearly 60 % of the strains: emm 1 (26.7 %), emm 28 (16.4 %), and emm 89 (12.8 %). The proportion of each emm genotype varied according to the year and the age of patients. Among those < 15 years old, the three main genotypes were emm 1 (36.8 %), emm 12 (12.9 %) and emm 4 (9.5 %). The distribution of superantigen genes ( Spe A , Spe C and Ssa ) was restricted to several emm genotypes. Between 2007 and 2011, the rate of macrolides resistant GAS strains decreased from 7.8 to 5.5 %. emm 1 strains are still the most common especially in most severe clinical manifestations including STSS and NF.
