The completion of 12. 5 m deep water navigation channel in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River has an important impact on the development of port cities from Nanjing to Shanghai. In this research, we put the port system and the urban system into a holistic analysis system framework, the sustainable efficiency of nine port cities below the Nanjing on the Yangtze River is calculated by using the two stage SBM-DEA Model. The results showed that the sustainable efficiency of different port cities was all increased from 2011 to 2019. In terms of spatial distribution, the sustainable efficiency fluctuates in some regions, and the oceanic port was higher than the inland ports. And the industrial structure and foreign trade volume have a significant positive impact on the sustainable efficiency of the port cities, but economic level, population density and the number of talents have a negative correlation with sustainable efficiency of port cities. The comprehensive research on Port Geography and Urban Geography would enrich the understanding about the port-city interaction, and hopes that could contribute to the future researches on the port city sustainable development. Low water levels of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret) in recent decades due to droughts and anthropogenic factors have exposed large portions of the lakebed. Archaeological surveys of the newly exposed areas yielded prehistoric sites, harbours, anchorages, shipwrecks, cargoes and shoreline installations, attesting to changing maritime activity on the lake through time. The different assemblages are presented and discussed within the context of the lake's highly specific physical and climatic settings. Scarcity of shelters, onshore winds and unpredictable lake-level changes influenced human activity, as reflected in the archaeological records. This paper critically analyses Africa's 'Ports Race', the massive increase in port infrastructure investment taking place across the continent since the mid-2000s. It argues that the phenomenon shapes, and is shaped by, three interconnected trends: (1) an emerging material–political–institutional lock-in to a new extractivist paradigm of capital accumulation; (2) continental governments' growing embrace of state-led development strategies; and (3) the repackaging of globalized discourses of connectivity and idealized visions of modernity by elites to legitimize both their own political positions and what are often exploitative and environmentally destructive practices/processes. The port hinterland system is an important force to support regional economic development and spatial structure reshaping, as well as the key to realize the transformation of industrial structure and the optimal allocation of resources. Firstly, based on port hinterland evolution theory and ecological theory, according to the new characteristics, the "Big Tree Theory" of the port hinterland system is proposed from the concept definition, evolution mode, evolution mechanism, etc. This study divides the evolution process of the port-hinterland life spatial structure into 4 stages: port-hinterland tree trunk growth, port-hinterland tree root growth, port-hinterland tree crown growth and the whole tree-shaped life spatial structure in the port-hinterland. Meanwhile, we analyze and describe the evolution mode of port-hinterland in each of the various stages. Secondly, this study builds a system that reveals the dynamic mechanism of the whole tree-shaped life spatial structure in the port-hinterland from the port-hinterland spatial system, the port-hinterland economy system, and the port-hinterland transportation system. Port and city, as two centers of activities with different characteristics, were originally two relatively independent transportation systems. The expansion of city scale and the development of port space has led to the evolution of integrated development of the port and the city from their initial separation and led to mixed transportation organization of passenger and freight. Based on the evolution law of the port-city relationship, a cluster analysis was made on the freight big data and the spatiotemporal distribution law of freight vehicles in the port was obtained, and an optimization strategy for port road collection and distribution was proposed from four aspects: network construction, strong axis, efficiency enhancement, and file upgrading. It aims to scientifically and effectively support the port road collection and distribution organization, and has been practically applied in the Zhujiaqiao Port Area of Wuhu Port. Recent excavations of Tel Yafo (Jaffa), Israel, underscore its role as an historically important Mediterranean port. In 2014, the Ioppa Maritima Project conducted a geological investigation determining that from ca. 5000–2000 years BP, a small estuarine system existed east and north of Tel Yafo that could have served as a harbour. The marine re-entrant formed through sea-level rise and flooding of a small valley, and the stream mouth was probably also partially blocked by coastal sands. Sediment aggradation, wetland development, and anthropogenic activity largely filled the embayment leaving only a depression east of Tel Yafo in the area of Bloomfield Stadium and Groningen Park. Based on the two main types of automatic mooring systems represented by cabled mooring and non-cabled mooring, this paper describes the relevant achievements in the research and application of automatic mooring operations of ships in ports both at home and abroad. From the perspective of "smart, safe and green" development trend of ports, this paper expounds on the good application prospect and development significance of automatic mooring systems at ports. Based on the task requirements, research difficulties and key technical problems of safe mooring, the paper presents the development trend of integrated research modeling of automatic mooring systems, intelligent controlling, full mooring process and industrialization of mooring of ships at ports. In order to advance the night voyage (ship entering & leaving port at night) of China's ports in a safe and orderly way, the background and significance of carrying out night voyage in ports were introduced. Based on the case study of the terminal, the improvement range of port and terminal utilization rate by liberalization of night voyage was studied; based on accident statistics, the risk differences between day and night voyage were studied. It is concluded that China's ports have the favorable conditions for further liberating night voyage. On this basis, the principle of scientific demonstration, strict control, adjust measures to local conditions, accurate measure, gradually promote were put forward, which can be used as a reference for related departments and enterprises in China to promote the work of port night voyage. Port coal conveying bell conveyor in the conveying process of coal, the metal impurities in the coal easily lead to tear the whole belt, and may damage the next level of the devices, which brings huge economic losses for company. In order to avoid the lose cause by the metal impurity, we installed iron remover above the belt for removing metal impurities, but it will increase the cost of production and consumption. According to the function of the iron remover, using the metal detection, signal processing technology, basing on keeping the original precision, realizing the cleaning of metal impurities and greatly reducing the consumption of electricity. This controlling system ensures the safety of production and prolongs the life of the device, it will saving 60% energy or more, and playing an important role in the energy—saving technology of related devices. River-ocean combined transportation is an important part of waterway -waterway transit, with reducing transportation costs and easing the pressure of highway transportation and other advantages, is the development direction of domestic and international waterway transportation. Shanghai Hengsha shoal is located in the junction between "Golden Coast” and "Golden Waterway", and it is a perfect place to expand its new development space to achieve the river -ocean direct transfer for Shanghai Port. Based on the domestic and international cases, we analyzed the characteristics of different port layout modes for river -ocean combined transportation, given the suggestions of the layout of river -ocean direct transfer port, and studied the general layout of the new Hengsha deepwater port in Shanghai. 港口柔性体现了港口对社会经济环境变化的反应能力和适应能力,科学的港口柔性评价是提高其柔性水平的基础.根据柔性的多维度特征和港口生产服务实际,从战略柔性、结构柔性、管理柔性、生产柔性和可持续柔性五个方面建立了港口柔性评价指标体系；选用模糊ANP方法建立评价模型,即根据各柔性指标之间的依存和反馈关系,用网络分析法(ANP)确定模糊指标权重.模糊ANP方法能够较准确地给出港口柔性的定量评价,为港口采取正确的发展策略、提高柔性水平提供参考.

Starting from the construction of Yunchi Port area and Ziyun Railway construction planning, we researched on the mutual influence between port and Ziyun Railway by the construction plan for crossing the Yunchi Port area. The impact of Ziyun Railway and the port is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by using the method of the calculation of the port capacity, the assessment of the assets of the port and the economic evaluation. It is found that the Ziyun Railway construction has an impact on the production operation of the port area during the construction period, and has a negative impact on the capacity of the port, the operational safety, the port assets, the resources and the financial benefits of the port after completion of the project.
