Multimedia glosses have been examined extensively by researchers for over three decades to determine their possible effects in second language (L2) vocabulary acquisition. Many meta-analytic studies aimed to determine the extent to which glosses can impact L2 vocabulary learning and the moderators that can mediate the results of meta-analytic studies. This study integrated meta-analytic studies with document co-citation analysis (DCA) to elicit a fine-grained view of the thematic associations of relevant citing studies with the issue of glosses and L2 vocabulary learning. To address this issue, 18 target studies (N = 2991 participants) were selected as the study sample. Results revealed that glosses had an overall large effect size on L2 vocabulary acquisition (Hedge's g = 1.27); however, the effect size varied from small to large, depending on the level of proficiency of the learners. Concerning the tests type moderator, the effect size was large for recognition test but medium for vocabulary recall test. Results of the DCA (18 cited articles and 802 citing articles) identified 10 core papers, with highly significant co-citations, and 257 citing references, indicating the highly thematic relatedness of the target studies, and citing references to the issue under investigation. Purpose: Due to the financial disturbances created by the COVID-19 pandemic and the burden on the government exchequer, it is expected to see a rise in the knowledge base of the research corpus so far as the government's fiscal sustainability is concerned. Therefore, the present research examines a systematic quantitative analysis of public debt sustainability research by applying a bibliometric approach. Research also analyzes journals, institutions, countries and authors contributing to public debt sustainability. Design/methodology/approach: This paper scrutinizes the published scientific research on public debt sustainability based on the dataset of 535 articles from 1991 to 2021 obtained from the Scopus database. Biblioshiny (R-based application) and VoSviewer software were used to perform bibliometric analysis through Performance analysis and science mapping techniques. The authors combined co-citation analysis (CCA), bibliometric analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis (KCA) and a conceptual thematic map of the most cited articles to find the intellectual structure. Findings: The research identified three dominating clusters, e.g. fiscal sustainability and policy rules, empirical sustainability testing and debt and growth dynamics. Another finding was that most articles were analytical and empirical and few descriptive articles were found. Owing to the empirical nature of the domain, the issues concerning public debt sustainability have continued to change over the past decades for different economies, reflecting the complexity and diversity of economic structures of different economies at different times. Originality/value: The insight of this article provides academicians and researchers with a more refined comprehension of the conceptual and intellectual structure of the research corpus. The aim of this article is to analyse the existing literature on social media engagement using bibliometric techniques to examine its evolution since its introduction in the business, management and accounting domains. This study comprises the following techniques based on a bibliometric analysis of 305 research papers extracted from Elsevier's Scopus from 2011 to February 2021: citation analysis, co-citation analysis, co-occurrence of author keywords. The analysis highlights the essence of research in the field of social media engagement over the last 10 years. Social media engagement based on content, different platforms and various industries emerges as prominent themes in the extant literature. Further, the analysis identifies the most influential authors and journals, pertaining to the field of social media engagement. Lastly, directions for future research have been explained. The publications that relate to the application of simulation to healthcare have steadily increased over the years. These publications are scattered amongst various journals that belong to several subject categories, including operational research, health economics and pharmacokinetics. The simulation techniques that are applied to the study of healthcare problems are also various. The aim of this study, therefore, is to review healthcare simulation literature that have been published between 1970 and 2007 in high-quality journals belonging to various subject categories and that report on the application of four simulation techniques, namely, Monte Carlo simulation, discrete-event simulation, system dynamics and agent-based simulation. Arguably, journal impact factor is fundamental in assessing the quality of publications. Thus, the 201 publications selected for review have been queried from the ISI Web of Science® bibliographic database of high-impact research journals. Through a review of healthcare simulation literature the following three objectives have been realized: (a) papers have been categorized under the different simulation techniques, and the healthcare problems that each technique is employed to investigate are identified; (b) variables such as authors, article citations, etc., within our dataset of healthcare papers have been profiled; (c) turning point (strategically important) papers and authors have been identified through co-citation analysis of references cited by the papers in our dataset. The above objectives have been realized by devising and then employing a methodology for profiling literature. This paper aims to map and analyze the scientific production of social innovation, resulting in a contribution to the literature review and guidelines for future research. A bibliometric analysis was conducted to explore the trends on the topic. The primary objectives are (1) to identify how the literature defines the concept of social innovation and to track its evolution; (2) to measure productivity and identify key authors and scientific journals with the highest impact in the field and the association networks between their respective institutions and countries of origin; (3) to analyze and map citations, co-citations, and research topics to pinpoint the topics and dimensions related to social innovation in order to propose future research. Community-based tourism (CBT) is part of East Asia's tourism landscape as local communities seek to diversify their livelihoods towards tourism. However, little is known about the evolution of research surrounding CBT in the region. Through undertaking a bibliometric analysis of 401 Scopus-indexed articles, this research found that CBT practices have increasingly questioned the legitimacy and authenticity of its value to local communities. Findings also illustrated most studies centred on China, and co-authorship networks mostly occurring between research supervisors and their students. Sustainability and digitization have become significant parts of the global economy in recent years. Numerous studies examine the relationship between sustainability's environmental concerns and digitization. In contrast, few studies address the topic of organizational, environmental, and socioeconomic sustainability's integration with digital technologies. This paper intends to fill this void by conducting a bibliometric analysis of the relevant literature. Along with descriptive insights, we explain the area's social, intellectual, and conceptual structures, its evolution, and its future agenda. The article discusses how technology adaption improves individuals' and companies' efficacy, performance, and profitability. Second, the article suggests more funding to produce environmentally friendly, greener technologies that can promote inclusive economic models and spur sustainable growth. Third, the article explores explore technology's social and ethical implications, highlighting the need to consider gender, race, ethnicity, and location when digitizing the world. By drawing on extant evidence and integrating findings, the research concludes by providing a fresh academic and policy contribution to the twin fields of digitalization and sustainability. Using a combination of co-citation and co-word analysis, this paper reviewed the intellectual structure of the sales ethics research domain and its development over time. This multi-method bibliometric analysis included 183 sales ethics articles published between 1990 and 2020. Using co-citation analysis, we identified intellectual clusters within the research domain and explored the evolution of these clusters across three decades. We further leveraged co-word analysis to identify core themes (keywords) and delineated the field's changing landscape. The evolutionary trends and keyword network disconnections (i.e., structural holes) suggest promising areas for future research. In particular, our analyses identified potentially fruitful opportunities related to topics such as compensation, relationship marketing outcomes, salesperson job attitudes and well-being, training, sales force control, and sales technology. Purpose: This article aims to investigate the status of and the trends in the intertwining of crowdfunding and innovation literature by identifying, evaluating and synthesizing the findings from previous research. This paper provides a bibliometric meta-analysis of the already substantial and growing literature on innovation and crowdfunding research. Design/methodology/approach: Using a bibliometric approach, this research scrutinizes all articles that include terms related to "crowdfunding" and "innovation" (in their title, abstract or keywords) in Elsevier's Scopus database. VosViewer and Bibliometrix package in R have been used to analyse 150 articles. Findings: The results suggest that there are three main research clusters in the innovation and crowdfunding literature. The first cluster highlights the role of crowdfunding in fostering radical and incremental innovation. The second cluster focuses on the concept of openness and its effect on innovation in crowdfunding campaigns, while the third cluster explains the role of platforms' innovation in crowdfunding success. Originality/value: Taking a holistic perspective, this contribution advances new knowledge on the intertwining of crowdfunding and innovation research fields. It implies that crowdfunding is facilitating the flow of knowledge between different stakeholders, including project initiators and crowd investors, among others, as they all benefit from open innovation platforms. Disruption risks in supply chain management have a great negative influence on the performance of supply chain members. Therefore, the field of supply chain disruption (SCD) has received increasing attention on mitigating the risks and improving the supply chain performance. This paper presents a comprehensive bibliometric overview and visualisation of the field of SCD based on 1,310 publications derived from the core collection of the Web of Science. The influential authors, organisations, and SCD keywords are discussed in detail based on some visualisation tools. Then, the leading publications and main clusters of SCD are identified to find out the key research topics based on citation analysis and reference co-citation analysis. The Related Records feature in the Web of Science retrieves records that share at least one item in their reference lists with the references of a seed record. This search method, known as bibliographic coupling, does not always yield topically relevant results. Our exploratory case study asks: How do retrievals of the type used in pennant diagrams compare with retrievals through Related Records? Pennants are two-dimensional visualizations of documents co-cited with a seed paper. In them, the well-known tf*idf (term frequency*inverse document frequency) formula is used to weight the co-citation counts. The weights have psychological interpretations from relevance theory; given the seed, tf predicts a co-cited document's cognitive effects on the user, and idf predicts the user's relative ease in relating its title to the seed's title. We chose two seed papers from information science, one with only two references and the other with 20, and used them to retrieve 50 documents per method in WoS for each of our two seeds. We illustrate with pennant diagrams. Pennant retrieval indeed produced more relevant documents, especially for the paper with only two references, and it produced mostly different ones. Related Records performed almost as well on the paper with the longer reference list, improving remarkably as the coupling units between the seed and other papers increased. We argue that relevance rankings based on co-citation, with pennant-style weighting as an option, would be a desirable addition to WoS and similar databases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A limited number of studies have applied bibliometric visualisation to explore the network structure of scholarly tourism knowledge. This study uses CiteSpace to analyse and visualise the intellectual structure of the tourism crisis and disaster management (TCDM) field. The use of new bibliometric visualisation techniques makes a methodological contribution to the mapping and presentation of bibliometric data in tourism research. Potentials for using these methods to provide new insights into research patterns and gaps are illustrated with an analysis of the TCDM literature. The study demonstrates how bibliometric visualisation can provide new insights into an area of literature by better communicating key findings, facilitating the exploration of data, and providing rich information to readers. Findings indicate that TCDM research has moved from broader topics to more specific issues, with a more recent focus on resilience and economic crises. The visualisation of co-authorship networks reveals that major collaborative networks are based on geographic and institutional proximity, dominated by scholars in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Seven major research clusters are identified from the visualisation of a co-citation network. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the research literature on L2 vocabulary acquisition published in 2006. The paper uses a methodology known as Inclusive Author Co-citation. The method uses the pattern of citations appearing in a body of research papers to generate a map of an area of research. These maps reveal ‘hidden colleges’ within a subject field.The analysis presented here is based on citation data for 101 authors who are significantly cited in the 2006 literature. The analysis identifies four research clusters in the data. The two principle clusters – accounting for 96% of the data – are a psycholinguistic cluster dominated by de Groot, Kroll and David Green, and a mainstream vocabulary cluster dominated by Nation and Laufer. The two clusters are largely self-contained, with very dense patterns of connections between the members of the individual clusters. The analysis identifies only a small number of links between these two clusters. The network dissolves into 30 smaller clusters if the main players are removed from the analysis.The analysis broadly supports intuitive analyses of the L2 vocabulary acquisition literature, but provides some new objective data which supports these intuitions. In this article, we performed a comparative study to investigate the performance of methods for detecting emerging research fronts. Three types of citation network, co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and direct citation, were tested in three research domains, gallium nitride (GaN), complex network (CNW), and carbon nanotube (CNT). Three types of citation network were constructed for each research domain, and the papers in those domains were divided into clusters to detect the research front. We evaluated the performance of each type of citation network in detecting a research front by using the following measures of papers in the cluster: visibility, measured by normalized cluster size, speed, measured by average publication year, and topological relevance, measured by density. Direct citation, which could detect large and young emerging clusters earlier, shows the best performance in detecting a research front, and co-citation shows the worst. Additionally, in direct citation networks, the clustering coefficient was the largest, which suggests that the content similarity of papers connected by direct citations is the greatest and that direct citation networks have the least risk of missing emerging research domains because core papers are included in the largest component. Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW), is a pricing strategy increasingly applied in many different industries, both profitable and not. This study aims to identify influential cited works in PWYW research, determine the current status, and indicate the extent to which influential works have shaped the field addressing this concern, a set of bibliometric analyses conducted in this paper. The analysis was carried out on 136 research papers published between 2009 and 2022 have been analyzed based on Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) results. In order to identify the most cited authors and works, the co-citation analysis was applied. To scrutinize the intellectual structure of the field, bibliometric coupling was applied, to show the network structure of the themes, co-word analysis was applied. This paper conducts a bibliometric analysis and a review of existing literature focusing on past 20 years (2000–2019) of research on corporate risk disclosures. The bibliometric data are gathered from two of the most widely referred repositories: Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The paper analysed various performance parameters such as research growth, most productive and highly cited authors, top source journal, affiliation analysis (institution-wise and country-wise), annual publication output, country affiliation analysis, document-based citation analysis, cited author-based co-citation Analysis and Top 30 highly influential papers from both databases WoS and Scopus. Apart from this, based on bibliometric analysis, authors' country of origin, document-based citation analysis and cited authors-based co-citation analysis are visualized using VOSviewer software. The purpose of this article is to portray the knowledge evolution paths of business-IT alignment (BITA) research and identify a set of important papers in the development of BITA, and elucidate the intellectual structure of this field. This study collected 309 papers published during the period 1983-2015 from the Web of Science (WOS) database. Using a variety of bibliometric and visualization analytic techniques such as citation analysis, co-citation analysis and main path analysis, this article (1) delineates the significant knowledge flows of BITA research and identifies 15 important papers in this field; (2) graphically maps the influential countries, institutions, and journals of BITA research; (3) identifies four major research themes: BITA model, measurement, antecedents, and dynamics, and visualizing the relationships among them. Based on these findings, recommendations for the future research directions have suggested. The present investigation explores the features of the research publications on stellar and galactic astrophysics research in India during the last 20 years, based on the Web of Science Core Collection and its implications using the scientometric techniques. The R program, VOS-viewer software, and Webometric Analyst 2.0 were used for the analysis. The results of this investigation unveil that the literature on the stellar and galactic astrophysics has grown exponentially during this period reaching 4352 papers in total. A network visualization map revealed that "galaxies: active", "stars: neutron", "galaxies: evolution", "galaxies: ism" and "radio continuum: galaxies" were the most frequently used keywords. The study identified the key scientometric indicators such as publications, authors, journals, countries, institutions, citation, and co-citation analysis. "Tata Institute of Fundamental Research" (TIFR) is the most extensive institutional contributor publishing 26.03% of the papers. Srianand R is the most published author with 143 publications. India has the most significant scientific collaboration with the USA. "Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society" is the most publishing journal with 1434 published papers having 25,853 citations. The total number of citations received is 1,13,860 citations, giving a ratio for the "Average Citations per Item" as 26.16 and "h-index" as 115. The purpose of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the Resource Description and Access (RDA) research in library and information science journals in Web of Science. Two hundred and fifty-eight journal articles related to RDA were extracted from Web of Science for analysis for the period between 2006 and 2020. A descriptive analysis of the most productive authors, institutions, countries, and journals and the most cited authors was conducted. To illuminate the major themes, the selected articles were also subjected to a co-word analysis and a document co-citation analysis using the visualization tool VOSviewer. The co-word analysis revealed five clusters of themes: (1) RDA implementation, (2) RDA and other metadata standards and technologies, (3) RDA and FRBR, FRAD and ISBD, (4) RDA and Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, (5) RDA and descriptive cataloging, authority control, catalogers, and training. The document co-citation analysis identified two distinctive clusters of themes: RDA testing, training and implementation, and RDA and FRBR-related conceptual models. An analysis of the temporal evolution of the themes showed that other metadata standards and technologies, especially linked data, and Bibframe, received more attention in recent years. Objective: The paper conducts a network analysis of the fragmented literature on brand and addiction. Method: A thematic map, thematic evolution, word cloud, co-citation analysis, and cooperation networks were utilized to identify brand addiction study trends and topics. Results: The data show that marketing and psychiatry have interdisciplinary groupings and multidisciplinary publications. These groups reflect societal changes, particularly the shift from traditional to digital challenges. Fast food addiction is different from alcohol and cigarette addictions due to its ease and extensive marketing. The decline in internet and gambling addiction suggests a shift in priorities. Conclusions: This research helps researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in addiction prevention and intervention. The study also understands brand addiction and its effects on psychology, psychiatry, and management by providing insights into emerging topics, thematic maps and evolution of studies, collaboration opportunities, geographical distribution of studies, and more. This study reviews the literature published on job crafting using bibliometric techniques. It utilizes the papers published on the topic from 1990 to 2023, retrieved from the Scopus database. The purpose of the paper is to draw the intellectual, conceptual and social structure of the field of research on job crafting. It uses the bibliometric method to review the literature on "job crafting." The findings of the study reveal both the micro and macro aspect of the research published so far such as Europe is the epicenter of research on the topic, while experiments and questionnaires a popular choice in methods adopted. This review gives a unique view of the past and outlines a number of future directions for research on the topic and it will be of interest to existing scholars in the field as well as doctoral students who might be interested in the topic. This paper reviews influencer marketing (IM)-research in the tourism and hospitality (H&T) field to provide a state-of-the-art of the past, present, and future of IM-research. It identifies research themes, theoretical underpinnings, and methodologies utilized in IM-research. Seventy-five studies are examined through co-citation, bibliographic coupling and content analysis based on the TCCM (theory/context/characteristics/methodology) framework. Co-citation analysis reveals that IM-research focused on travel blogs, vlogs, celebrity endorsement, influencer authenticity. An assessment of recent studies through bibliographic coupling indicates a partial shift toward the study of more contemporary issues. Waste management is an important issue in the field of green logistics. It has consequently drawn the attention of the scientific community and has been extensively investigated over the past few years. Through an analysis of the existing waste management literature, we attempt in this paper to better understand past developments in this area as well as emerging trends and recent developments. Emphasis will be put mainly on Operations Research and Management Science techniques when dealing with waste management problems. To reach this target, we follow bibliometric-based methods, specifically Co-citation Analysis, Betweenness Centrality and Burst Detection combined with network visualization. After identifying the research papers published between 1990 and 2018 within the Thomson Reuters Web of Science database, a Co-citation network has been constructed. We propose an algorithm for modularity-based clustering in small networks that iteratively solves a sequence of Mixed Integer Non-linear Programming problems to maximize the modularity therefore providing a non-overlapping partition of the network. Epigenetics, one of the most rapidly intensifying fields of biological research, explores inheritable gene expression not governed by alterations in the DNA sequence. This article analysed the literature on epigenetics published between 2009 and 2017 using qualitative and visualisation techniques. The data were drawn from Clarivate Analytics' Web of Science Core Collection in January 2018. CiteSpace V software was used to establish an intellectual overview, based on 13,295 scientific articles and review papers. Document co-citations were analysed and a variety of graphics was created. The aim was to define the scope of the field and identify its constituent specialities with automatic procedures based on the keywords and titles in the citing articles in the clusters identified. Ten subspecialities were identified. Field core papers were defined from the co-citation findings, Kleinberg's burst detection algorithm and the structural variation theory metrics calculated for all the articles selected. The continuous increase in the volume of geospatial data has led to the creation of storage tools and the cloud to process data. Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud-based platform that facilitates geoprocessing, making it a tool of great interest to the academic and research world. This article proposes a bibliometric analysis of the GEE platform to analyze its scientific production. The methodology consists of four phases. The first phase corresponds to selecting "search" criteria, followed by the second phase focused on collecting data during the 2011 and 2022 periods using Elsevier's Scopus database. Software and bibliometrics allowed to review the published articles during the third phase. Finally, the results were analyzed and interpreted in the last phase. The research found 2800 documents that received contributions from 125 countries, with China and the USA leading as the countries with higher contributions supporting an increment in the use of GEE for the visualization and processing of geospatial data. The intellectual structure study and knowledge mapping showed that topics of interest included satellites, sensors, remote sensing, machine learning, land use and land cover. The co-citations analysis revealed the connection between the researchers who used the GEE platform in their research papers. GEE has proven to be an emergent web platform with the potential to manage big satellite data easily. Furthermore, GEE is considered a multidisciplinary tool with multiple applications in various areas of knowledge. This research adds to the current knowledge about the Google Earth Engine platform, analyzing its cognitive structure related to the research in the Scopus database. Voluntary environmental management research has become a popular topic over the past two decades. This paper collects 3342 articles on research of voluntary environmental management in the Web of Science core database and uses the CitespaceV software to perform knowledge map analysis in this field. The results show: (1) in the field of corporate voluntary environmental management research, American universities are still playing a dominant role, but the number of Chinese scholars' publications has increased rapidly in recent years; (2) cluster analysis of the co-cited literature shows that sustainability reports, comparisons of voluntary environmental projects, managerial perceptions, voluntary management standards, environmental practices, industry self-regulation, environmental governance, and responsibility reporting are popular topics in the field of voluntary environmental management; (3) from the perspective of hotspot development, the early research mainly focused on industry self-regulation and environmental governance. In the early twenty-first century, the hotspots were mainly concentrated on comparisons of voluntary environmental projects, managerial perceptions, voluntary management standards, and responsibility reporting. Currently, researchers pay more attention to related environmental performance, corporate performance, the construction of comprehensive models, and the choice of environmental information disclosure methods. The aim of this paper is to examine the periodic changes within the content of tourism distribution channels and identify key themes in this field. The study will be able to identify changes and trends by examining through scientific/academic research.A bibliometric method was employed. About 6245 publications in the Web of Science database were analyzed using VOS viewer, as the study tool. The results show an increasing trend in scientific publications on distribution channels in field of tourism by the last decade. The year 2019 held highest rank in terms of the total number of scientific papers published per year with 813 articles, and the highest citation rate belongs to 2017 with 10037 citations. Also, the majority of the publications in this field were original research articles (57.90%), and Law R., Buhalis D., Pan B., and Xiang Z. were identified as the most productive and most-cited researchers. Besides, co-authorship network visualization of journals in the field of tourism distribution channels was implemented. Co-word analysis was then used to track the evolution of research themes over time. The key themes are Single-channel, Dual-channel, Multi-channel, Cross-channel, and Omni-channel. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify major research topics and propose future research directions for the short food supply chains (SFSCs) by conducting a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. Design/methodology/approach: A step-by-step literature review was performed. A total of 684 scientific papers were retrieved from Scopus, dated between 2000 and 2020. Then, content analysis was conducted based on 162 articles selected from the co-citation analysis. Bibexcel and Gephi software were employed to analyse, integrate and visualize the data. Findings: The results of the descriptive analysis provided insights into publication trends, prominent countries, institutions and journal sources, which had not been fully captured or evaluated by previous reviews. In the citation analysis, the authors determined the highly cited papers based on the global citation. Additionally, in the co-citation analysis, the authors derived six research clusters, identified research gaps in each of six clusters and then suggested possible future research directions. Originality/value: Although several reviews have focused on certain aspects of SFSCs, a comprehensive review has been lacking. This study is among the first to comprehensively examine the knowledge structure of SFSCs research by using rigorous bibliometric analysis. As a frequently used method of depicting scientific intellectual structures, author co-citation analysis (ACA) has been applied to many domains. However, only count-based information is involved as the input of ACA, which is not sufficiently informative for knowledge representations. This article catches several metadata in full text of citing papers but not aims at content-level information, which increases the amount of information input to ACA without increasing computational complexity a lot. We propose a new method by involving information including the number of mentioned times in a citing paper and the number of context words in a citing sentence. We combine these pieces of information into the traditional ACA and compare the results between ACA and the proposed approach by using factor analysis, network analysis, and MDS-measurement. The result of our empirical study indicates that compared with the traditional ACA, the proposed method shows a better clustering performance in visualizations and reveals more details in displaying intellectual structures. Purpose Business process management (BPM) has attracted much focus throughout the years, yet there have been calls questioning the future of BPM. The purpose of this paper is to explore the current state of the field through a dynamic literature review and identify the main challenges for its future development.Design/methodology/approach A dynamic co-citation network analysis identifies the “evolution” of knowledge of BPM and the most influential works. The results present the developed BPM subthemes in the form of clusters.Findings The focus within the field has shifted from facilitating wide-ranging business performance improvements to creating introverted optimizations within a particular BPM subgroup. The BPM field has thus experienced strong fragmentation throughout the years and has accrued into self-fueling subareas of BPM research such as business process modeling and workflow management. Those subareas often neglect related disciplines in other management, process modeling and organizational improvement fields.Research limitations/implications The study is limited by the initial keyword choice of the authors. The subsequent co-citation analysis ameliorates the subjectivity since it produces a data set and contributions based on references.Originality/value A new combination of historical development and the state-of-the-art of the BPM field, by employing a co-citation and cluster analysis. This dynamic literature review presents the current state of the theoretical core and attempts to identify the crossroads that BPM has reached. Big data (BD) is one of the emerging topics in the field of information systems. This article utilized citation and co-citation analysis to explore research articles in the field of BD to examine the scientific development in the area. The research data was retrieved from the WOS database from the period between 2005 and June 2016, which consists of 366 articles. In the citation analysis, this article relies on the degree centrality and betweenness centrality for identifying 38 important papers in BD. In the co-citation analysis, a principal component factor analysis of the co-citation matrix is employed for identifying six major research themes: foundations, BD applications, techniques and technologies, challenges, adoption and impacts and literature review. This literature review is one of the first studies to examine the knowledge structure of BD research in the information systems discipline by using evidence-based analysis methods. This paper uses bibliometric methods to review the research on makerspaces. The objective of the study was to document the growth and geographic distribution of makerspace literature, identify the main authors, documents. In addition to this, the study also combined two bibliometric analysis methods, co-citation analysis and co-word analysis to identify the intellectual structure of the makerspace knowledge base and the evolution of research themes over time. A total of 654 documents related to makerspaces between 2012 and 2020 were identified from the Scopus database. The review found that research base on makerspace is starting to grow from 2017 onwards with an accelerating growth rate, however, the published studies are mainly from USA and Europe. The paper also lists the most cited documents, the influential sources of publications and the main authors working on this area. The review also identified five research clusters using co-citation analysis that have emerged over time which are "innovation and development in makerspaces", "child development in makerspaces", "learning and STEM education in makerspaces", "implementation of makerspaces in education", and "university makerspaces". Another major finding highlighted "innovation, design, and creativity", "engineering curriculum", "skill development", "computer programming knowledge", and "learning, collaboration and community development" as the five main research themes using the co-word analysis. Purpose: This paper aims to examine the origins of value co-creation (VCC) knowledge streams, vis-a-vis their progression over the past 18 years. The study explores how knowledge of this discipline emerged across the tripartite strategic paradigms of business transformation. Design/methodology/approach: Co-citation analysis (CCA) and co-word analysis (CWA) are used as bibliometric techniques, for which, a group of articles is retrieved using Scopus's usual keyword-based search. The initial collection consists of 3,431 research articles published in business and management publications. By explaining the article clusters generated through CCA and keyword connections generated through CWA, the findings outline the origins and development of VCC research. A CWA-based chronological study adds further insights to the development of VCC research themes. Findings: The results depict that VCC research has grown multifold in the past 18 years, whereby it has shifted its attention from a dyadic interaction approach to a multistakeholder ecosystem-based approach detailing the phenomenological instances of resource integration and institutional processes. Notably, extant research in this field has grown at a much faster rate since 2008. In fact, a stronger concentration of research emerged in the experience domain, particularly in terms of hedonic services. Development of engagement platforms has been driven by research into technologies such as IoT and artificial intelligence. Research limitations/implications: The theoretical framework of the VCC paradigm is used to describe the aggregation of co-creation research around the three strategic pillars. This framework is useful for business strategy and to track VCC research over time. Practical implications: This work identifies the practices and strategies of VCC at three different levels: capacity, platform and experience. The study offers insights into a variety of co-creation practices at their respective levels, incorporating micro-level dyadic interactions and macro-level processes in a service ecosystem. Originality/value: This study uses different bibliometric methodologies to investigate the development of this scientific field over time. Cognition and emotion play important roles in information systems (IS) research, yet existing studies have not provided a comprehensive picture of these issues in the IS field. In this study, a citation network including 2,061 related academic articles published between 1996 and 2019 is established. Two novel indicators are proposed, through which 57 influential articles are identified, namely annual average degree centrality (AADC) and annual average betweenness centrality (AABC). A backward search process is performed preceding the co-citation analysis to exhaustively collect co-citation data. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to undertake a bibliometric analysis of digital marketing research in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The study examines papers over the last two decades and performed performance analysis, co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling and scientific mapping. Design/methodology/approach: The study examines 247 documents retrieved from the Scopus database using bibliometric analysis, performance analysis and thematic clustering. The study looked at the scientific productivity of papers, prolific authors, most influencing papers, institutions and nations, keyword co-occurrence, thematic mapping, co-citations and authorship and country collaborations. VOSviewer was employed as a tool in the research to conduct the performance analysis and thematic clustering. Findings: The most productive year was 2021 with 56 publications and the most impactful institute and countries are the University of Birmingham, UK, and the country is United Kingdom, respectively. Similarly, the most influential journal is "Industrial Marketing Management", and the most productive journal is "International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising". Furthermore, the most cited article is "Usage, barriers and measurement of social media marketing: An exploratory investigation of small and medium B2B brands". The authors also identified five thematic clusters of digital marketing research in SMEs. Research limitations/implications: It informs and directs researchers on the current state of study in the field of digital marketing literature in SMEs. It also outlines future research directions in this field. In this study, big data studies (01/2015–6/2018) are reviewed and several highly cited papers are identified, which indicates a growing interest in the area of big data. The papers and proceedings from international peer-reviewed journals and ranked conferences were reviewed. We employed Principal component analysis and citation and co-citation analysis to identify themes of research emanating from these studies. Citation and co-citation analysis reveals that there is cross-functional nature of big data research, which permeates different business sectors and is influenced by themes in engineering and information management. Based on the phenomenal changes that additive manufacturing (AM) has brought to industries and markets, managerial approaches should be re-examined and developed to take advantage of emerging opportunities. This revolutionary technology is dramatically changing business and innovation models, shrinking supply chains and altering the global economy. For example, 3D printing shifts production locations closer to customers and leads to free-form product design as well as sustainable manufacturing. Several studies have been conducted on AM technology, but the research stream on AM management is still developing, with studies dispersed in journals across different research areas. Our study presents both systematic and quantitative analyses of the literature, including co-citation analysis, factor analysis and multidimensional scaling, to explore the structure of the AM research domains in the scope of management, business and economics. We found eight main research streams: AM technology selection, supply chain, product design and production cost models, environmental aspects, strategic challenges, manufacturing systems, open-source innovation and business models and economics. In terms of production, seabream and seabass are the two most important species of marine Mediterranean aquaculture, which is why they have been extensively studied in the literature. This study uses visualization analysis with the CiteSpace software to determine the research status quo and the most important trends of seabream and seabass aquaculture research. The Web of Science (WoS) database was used to select the papers associated with seabream and seabass literature from the period between 1986 and 2020. The results were separated using two indices (Science Citation Index Expand and Social Science Citation Index). The visualization analysis identified the networks for (1) author, institution, country and category co‐authorship, in order to find the most prolific authors, institutions, countries and categories respectively; and (2) journal, document and author co‐citation, which identifies the most relevant journals, the most important studies and the most cited and influential authors. Finally, a keywords co‐occurrence network was built to identify the most important topics and the research frontiers—body of knowledge—of the seabream and seabass aquaculture research—SSAR. The automobile industry is the pillar industry of the national economy. The good operation of the automobile supply chain is conducive to the sustainable development of the economy and social economy. In recent years, the popular research of automotive supply chain disruption risk management has been widely of concern by both business and academic practitioners. It is observed that most of the literature has focused only on a particular journal or field; there is a distinct lack of comprehensive bibliometric review of two decades, of research on automotive supply chain disruption risk management. This paper delivers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis that provides a better understanding not previously fully evaluated by earlier studies in the field of automotive supply chain disruption risk management. We used the 866 journal article during the period between 2000 and 2022 from the WOS database as sample data. Highlights research topics and trends, key features, developments, and potential research areas for future research. The research problems we solved are as follows: (1) Over time, how does the research in the field of automotive supply chain disruption risk management progress? (2) Which research areas and trends are getting the most attention in the field of automotive supply chain disruption risk management? (i) to recognize the scholarly production; (ii) the most productive authors; (iii) the most productive organization; (iv) the most cited articles; and (v) the most productive countries. (3) What is the research direction of automotive supply chain disruption risk management in the future? Also discusses the shortcomings of literature and bibliometric analysis. This study aims to provide a systematic analysis of the literature of methods and resources supporting geoconservation and geotourism worldwide, while identifying current and future trends in the field. This paper offers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis which comprises the period of 2011–2021 after an in-depth systematic literature review of 169 papers, using Web of Science. The volume of research on these topics is growing rapidly, especially in Italy, Poland, Brazil, Russia, and China; these constitute the most productive countries. The main identified geomorphological environments are sedimentary, volcanic, aeolian, coastal, fluvial, and karstic. We discovered that the main methods for evaluating geoconservation and geotourism are geomorphological mapping, the study of economic values for geotourism, field work as a research tool, geoheritage management, documentation, exploration, and inventories of geoheritage at a regional level. The main determined resources are UNESCO Geoparks, educational activities, digital tools, geomanagement, economic values, geoitineraries, and geoeducation programs. To our knowledge, this is the first study dealing with methods and resources publicizing geoconservation and geotourism, worldwide. Knowing about the most successful methods and resources for promoting geoconservation and geotourism can definitely be useful for future endeavors in countries where geoheritage studies are starting to be developed. Due to the environmental impact associated with the products' use, sustainable design has extended consideration of products' production to consumption. This study puts forward the concept of sustainable design for users (SDfUs). Using related keywords of sustainable design and user-centered design, we identify a total of 447 usable articles published during 1992–2019 from Scopus. Results of bibliometric analysis show that the number of SDfUs articles has generally continuously increased since 2007. The most productive scholars are from the USA, the UK, and China, while the top three organizations are Loughborough University, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Delft University of Technology. Different focuses of SDfUs appear among developed and developing countries. Green building design has emerged as one key area that uses the concept of SDfUs in developed countries such as the USA and the UK. SDfUs studies in developing countries such as China focus on design for end-of-life products' treatment and disposal. Most SDfUs studies examine how design can contribute to environmental performance through emission reduction and energy saving during products' use, and articles in one of five clusters from co-word analysis explore users' behaviors for sustainable design in the textile industry. This paper is the first study that systematically reviews the literature on SDfUs. It provides valuable insights for scholars in the SDfUs-related fields to identify their research directions and partners.
