Genetic logic gates can be employed in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology to regulate gene expression based on diverse inputs. Design of tunable genetic logic gates with versatile dynamic performance is essential for expanding the usability of these toolsets. Here, using the p-coumaric acid biosensor system as a proof-of-concept, we initially investigated the parameters influencing the buffer (BUF) genetic logic gates. Subsequently, integrating binding sequences from the p-coumaric acid biosensor system and tetR or lacI regulation systems into a constitutive promoter yielded AND genetic logic gates. Additionally, characterized antisense RNAs (asRNAs) or single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) with various repression efficiencies were combined with BUF gates to construct a suite of p-coumaric acid-triggered NOT genetic logic gates. Finally, the designed BUF and NOT gates were combined to construct bifunctional genetic circuits that were subjected to orthogonality evaluation. The genetic logic gates established in this study can serve as valuable tools in future applications of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology.

AbstractEarned value analysis is an important tool to measure the performance of a project to indicate what will happen to the work in the future. This study focuses on developing a fuzzy-based earned value analysis model for estimating the performance of projects. The model provides to make estimations getting closer and reduces the errors in calculations through the fuzzy linguistic terms. The data for this study were taken from projects which were done between 2020 and 2023 for the six sets of building projects. The data has been analyzed through a fuzzy-based earned value analysis model by using Microsoft Excel as a basic tool. It was found that the fuzzy-based SPI value for all projects was in Scenario 1, which implies that T(([Formula: see text])≥1) = 0 and T(([Formula: see text]) ≤ 1) = 1, So the work package is behind the schedule. Similarly, the value of fuzzy-based CPI for all projects except one were in Scenario 1, implies that T(([Formula: see text]) ≥1) = 0 and T(([Formula: see text]) ≤ 1) = 1, so the work package is behind the budget. Finally, it can be recommended that it needs to properly monitor, and control the project time, and cost to recover deviation in the remaining periods.

Through an in-depth examination of these values, the study unveils their significance and influence in guiding the lives of adherents. Compassion, regarded as the cornerstone in both Buddhism and Christianity, drivesthe alleviation ofsuffering and ethical living. Love and charity are paramount in Christianity, while Buddhism emphasizes generosity. Moral conduct is fundamental in both, with Buddhism placing strong emphasis on the Noble Eightfold Path. Mindfulness is a shared practice, that promotes self-awareness and inner peace. Forgiveness, crucial in Christianity, emphasizes reconciliation and restoration. These values, though differently interpreted due to their theological foundations, demonstrate a universal theme of empathy and interconnectedness. This study further accentuates the relevance of these shared values in the contemporary world, fostering dialogue between Buddhists and Christians to cultivate a more compassionate and understanding society. It delves into the practical implications of these values for personal growth and ethical decision-making, offering insights into their potential to bridge differences and promote empathy. Objective: The aim was to determine the research question which addresses the accuracy of the terms Overuse injury & Training load error in sports injuries. Literature Search: Google scholar, PubMed & AJSM databases were searched from inception to 2nd September 2023. Study Selection Criteria: The studies were included if the participants were athletes regardless of the type of sport & gender. Studies consisting overuse injuries, training load errors & comparison among the two were included. Data Synthesis: The quality of studies was assessed using JBI Critical Appraisal Tool. The level of evidence was defined as strong & of high quality. Results: 2672 studies were identified along with 5 articles from sources other than database search. 14 studies met the inclusion criteria & were added to the review. 11 studies concluded that increased training performance is directly proportional to the increased risk of injury. 3 studies directly call out for our field to replace the term Overuse injury with Training Load Errors. One of the studies specifies by stating that all overuse injuries are training load errors. 5 studies specifies that, even though there are negative effects of training errors, proper training prescription can act as a protective agent against injury. This work showcases the implementation of 16 Boolean logic functions through a double-gate (DG) fully depleted (FD) Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor-Field-Effect-Transistor (MOSFET). The DG-FD-SOI device with an independent gate operation highlights that Boolean logic functions can be implemented in two steps (Program and Read), and Boolean logic output “High” (“1”) and “Low” (“0”) depends on the floating body effect. The Program (Step 1) operation is based on band-to-band tunneling and forward bias mechanisms, while the Read (Step 2) operation is based on drift and impact ionization mechanism. The program and read operations for logic-in-memory computing are performed in ~10 ns and consume low energy ( $\sim 4.04\times 10 ^{-14}$ J) during the read operation. The results also show that the device with optimized device dimensions, biasing, and timing scheme achieves a drain current ratio of $\sim 10^{5}$ . These results reveal that DG-FD-SOI-based MOSFET for logic-in-memory computing is a compelling alternative to the limitations of von Neumann architectures, offering significant speed and energy efficiency advantages.

This study examines the effect of low molecular weight acid (LMA), moisture and oxygen on the thermal ageing characteristics of refined, bleached, and deodorised palm oil (RBDPO). The paper moisture was varied between 0.5% and 3.5%. The oil was initially subjected to 0.2 g of LMA and 20 mbar of oxygen pressure. The thermal ageing experiment was performed at 120 °C and 140 °C for 28 days. Several dielectric and physiochemical parameters were measured which included dielectric dissipation factor, relative permittivity, resistivity, moisture in oil, acidity, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It is found that LMA and moisture in paper do not affect the relative permittivity of RBDPO and mineral oil (MO). The dielectric dissipation factor of RBDPO and MO reveals slight increment trends within the ageing time. The decrements of resistivities occur after 7 days of ageing for both RBDPO and MO while only RBDPO shows decrement trend of moisture in oil. The ageing patterns of relative permittivities, dielectric dissipation factors and resistivities for RBDPO are similar to MO. The increment of acidity for RBDPO is more apparent that MO throughout the ageing time. All RBDPOs are more resistant to ageing than MO based on the TGA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Solid wastes are substances thrown away by the institutions of individual households in the urban community. The solid waste management practice in Asella town was inappropriate caused environmental pollution and exposed different urban health difficulties. The main objective was to determine the environmental and health impacts of solid waste management problems and associated factors in Asella town. Data collection was carried out through a house-to-house community survey process with a method of cross-sectional study design. A total sample size of 418 households was selected and implemented a simple random and systematic probability sampling technique. The statistical analysis of the binary logistic regression model was used to perform the correlational test about health issues in Asella town.The environmental impact assessment indicators were 13.4% soil pollution, 31.6% air pollution, 20.8% environmental deterioration, and 34.2% water pollution. The health impact indicators were 49.5% respiratory diseases, 18.2% asthmatic (bronchitis) cases, 15.8% diarrheal diseases, 14.8% protozoan illnesses, and 1.7% cancer cases.The odds ratio of females AOR = 1.18; 95%, CI:0.48–2.89, educational districts of can't read and write AOR = 2.31: 95% CI = 0.48–11.1, primary cycle AOR = 2.32, 95% CI:0.58–9.21, Secondary cycle AOR = 2.19, 95% CI = 0.60–7.98, and tertiary cycle AOR = 4.98, 95% C1.06–23.46. the odds ratio of house ownership of government AOR = 2.95, 95% CI:0.54–16.14, private households AOR = 4.18, 95% CI:0.79–22.16 and rented house property AOR = 1.71, 95% CI:0.32–9.18. Thus, the odds ratio of reusing solid waste was statistically significant correlated factors that limit health issues in Asella town.Therefore, the inadequate solid waste management practice was a query for environmental and health impacts in Asella town. The principles of reusing, reducing, and recovering solid waste management practice must be supported by professional interventions and government policy.

BackgroundPediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) teams provide care for critically ill children with diverse and often complex medical and surgical conditions. Researchers often lack guidance on an approach to select the best outcomes when evaluating this critically ill population. Studies would be enhanced by incorporating multi-stakeholder preferences to better evaluate clinical care. This manuscript outlines the methodology currently being used to develop a PICU Core Outcome Set (COS). This PICU COS utilizes mixed methods, an inclusive stakeholder approach, and a modified Delphi consensus process that will serve as a resource for PICU research programs.MethodsA Scoping Review of the PICU literature evaluating outcomes after pediatric critical illness, a qualitative study interviewing PICU survivors and their parents, and other relevant literature will serve to inform a modified, international Delphi consensus process. The Delphi process will derive a set of minimum domains for evaluation of outcomes of critically ill children and their families. Delphi respondents include researchers, multidisciplinary clinicians, families and former patients, research funding agencies, payors, and advocates. Consensus meetings will refine and finalize the domains of the COS, outline a battery instruments for use in future studies, and prepare for extensive dissemination for broad implementation.DiscussionThe PICU COS will be a guideline resource for investigators to assure that outcomes most important to all stakeholders are considered in PICU clinical research in addition to those deemed most important to individual scientists.Trial registrationCOMET database (http://www.comet-initiative.org/, Record ID 1131, 01/01/18).

Memristors, as new electronic elements, have been under rigorous study in recent years, owing to their good memory and switching properties, low power consumption, nano-dimensions and a good compatibility to present integrated circuits, related to their promising applications in electronic circuits and chips. The main purpose of this paper is the application and analysis of the operations of metal–oxide memristors in logic gates and complex schemes, using several standard and modified memristor models and a comparison between their behavior in LTSPICE at a hard-switching, paying attention to their fast operation and switching properties. Several basic logic gates—OR, AND, NOR, NAND, XOR, based on memristors and CMOS transistors are considered. The logic schemes based on memristors are applicable in electronic circuits with artificial intelligence. They are analyzed in LTSPICE for pulse signals and a hard-switching functioning of the memristors. The analyses confirm the proper, fast operation and good switching properties of the considered modified memristor models in logical circuits, compared to several standard models. The modified models are compared to several classical models, according to some significant criteria such as operating frequency, simulation time, accuracy, complexity and switching properties. Introduction: Among varied substance abuse, tobacco abuse is a common relapsing addiction among youth. The relationship of tobacco abuse in varying grades of dental caries (DC) is worthy of study. This study was planned with a null hypothesis, there is no difference in varying grades of DC in tobacco and related substance abusers to those of nonabusers in the population visiting institute. Materials and Methods: The present study comprised 270 adults, 135 participants in each group, with age ranged from 20 years to 50 years including both gender. Study group formed of smokers, tobacco abusers, smokeless tobacco abusers, gutka, betel nut, and a combination of these two, whereas the healthy, nonhabit group formed control. DC was measured using the decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index. Oral hygiene was evaluated by recording a simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI). Results: DC was found higher in individuals with habits (mean DMFT: 4.73 ± 4.32) as compared to those of nonhabit group (mean DMFT: 3.17 ± 3.11), and the difference was statistically significant (P = 0.001). OHI was significantly higher in tobacco abusers than those of nonabusers (P = 0.0001). In the case of both moderate and severe caries, the duration and frequency of tobacco abuse was significantly associated with a pattern of DC (P = 0.001). As the frequency of tobacco and related substance abuse increased, caries (DMFT) also increased (r = 0.15 and P = 0.013), and it was statistically highly significant. Conclusion: Psychoactive substance abuse along with poor oral hygiene, in any form of smokeless or smoking form of tobacco habit, is a risk for increased caries activity, and it is higher in smokeless tobacco abusers as compared to smokers.

Background: Chronic malnutrition is the consequence of long-term nutritional deficiency resulting in non-communicable disease and reduced productivity in later life. This situation primarily manifests through physical stunting, a term used to individuals short for their age in comparison to reference population of same age. Criteria for cases and controls: Case: is defind based on the world health organization (WHO) 2006 reference population. Children whose height for age z score for height ≤ −2 SD while.Controls: is children whose z score for height > -2 SD to z score for height +2 SD. Objective: to find determinants of stunting among children aged between 6 and 59 months. Methods: A community-based unmatched case-control study was conducted on 566 study participants (188 case and 378 controls) from March to May 2019. Nutritional status was determined using the WHO reference population. A structured questioner was used to collect data through interviews and anthropometric measurement. Data entry was made in Epi-data version 4.6.02, and the analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS version 26 software. Binary logistic and multivariable logistic regression was done. Multicollinearity was checked using the tolerance testand variance inflation factors. Hosmer- Lemeshow goodness of fit test was used to see model fitness. Adjusted odds ratios and 95% CI at P-values ≤ 0.05 were considered to affirm statistically significant factors. Results: The study participants' response rate was 100% for both cases and controls. The mean age of the children was 28 ± 11.2 months for the case and 28.6 ± 6 months for control with the standard deviation. Factors significantly associated with stunting were poor household dietary diversity (AOR = 10.37, 95% CI; 5.39–19.94), middle household dietary diversity (AOR = 3.78, 95% CI; 1.38–10.38), family size ≥5 (AOR = 6.27, 95% CI; 3.37–11.66) and have no consumption of animal food source (AOR = 7.43, 95% CI; 4.3–12.8) Conclusion: This study relived that four variables were significantly associated with stunting. These are low household dietary diversity, medium household dietary diversity, family size, and animal source food. Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made. provide health information to families regarding the importance of good household dietary diversity, provide health information to families regarding the importance of limiting family size, and provide nutritional counseling about the benefits of animal source food.

Image dehazing aims to remove haze in images to improve their image quality. However, most image dehazing methods heavily depend on strict prior knowledge and paired training strategy, which would hinder generalization and performance when dealing with unseen scenes. In this paper, to address the above problem, we propose Bidirectional Normalizing Flow (BiN-Flow), which exploits no prior knowledge and constructs a neural network through weakly-paired training with better generalization for image dehazing. Specifically, BiN-Flow designs 1) Feature Frequency Decoupling (FFD) for mining the various texture details through multi-scale residual blocks and 2) Bidirectional Propagation Flow (BPF) for exploiting the one-to-many relationships between hazy and haze-free images using a sequence of invertible Flow. In addition, BiN-Flow constructs a reference mechanism (RM) that uses a small number of paired hazy and haze-free images and a large number of haze-free reference images for weakly-paired training. Essentially, the mutual relationships between hazy and haze-free images could be effectively learned to further improve the generalization and performance for image dehazing. We conduct extensive experiments on five commonly-used datasets to validate the BiN-Flow. The experimental results that BiN-Flow outperforms all state-of-the-art competitors demonstrate the capability and generalization of our BiN-Flow. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin Ömer Seyfettin’in And adlı öyküsünde yer alan şiddet olgusu hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma, Tuşba Kaymakamlık makamından araştırma izni alındıktan sonra 2021 yılı Ocak ayında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Van ili Tuşba ilçesine bağlı İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Ortaokulu 6-A sınıfında öğrenim gören 22 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji (olgubilim) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında uzman görüşü alınarak geliştirilen ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmış, verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise içerik analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin eserde yer alan şiddet sahnelerini beğenmedikleri, şiddet içeren bölümlerden etkilendikleri, bu bölümleri eserden çıkarmak istedikleri tespit edilmiştir.

We have perused the absorbency of N2H4, P2H4, O2H2 and S2H2 molecules on the exterior level of pristine and Al- and Ga-embeded B12N12 nanostructures using through density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The consequences indicates that most favorable adsorption configurations are those in which the nitrogen atom of hydrazine (N2H4) is closed to boron, Aluminum and Gallium atoms of pristine and Al- and Ga-embeded B12N12 nanostructures, respectively, with adsorption energies circa -1.801, -2.397, and -2.071 eV. Geometry optimizations, energy calculations and NBO charge transfer were used to evaluate the impression ability of B12N12 for various analytes. The computed density of states (DOS) displaies that a notable orbital hybridization be take place between N2H4 P2H4, O2H2 and S2H2 molecules with pristine and Al- and Ga-embeded B11N12 nanostructures adsorption process. Finally, we concluded that the Al-embeded B11N12 is more desirable than that of the pristine for N2H4 adsorption.

If $\Omega$ is non-smooth and if $q \leq p \leq n-1$, we show that compactness of the $\overline\partial$-Neumann operator, $N_{p+1}$, on square integrable (0, p+1)-forms is equivalent to compactness of the commutators $[B_p,\overline z_j]$, $1 \leq j \leq n$, on square integrable $\overline\partial$-closed (0, p)-forms, where $B_p$ is the Bergman projection on (0, p)-forms. Moreover, we prove that compactness of the commutator of $B_p$ with bounded functions percolates up in the $\overline\partial$-complex on $\overline\partial$-closed forms and square integrable holomorphic forms. The assessment of the scientific expert DNA test in the criminal proceedings must be based on banishing some myths and paradigms, which have often made it difficult or excluded to control this means of proof by the criminal judge. Thus, the scientificity of the DNA test cannot exclude the assessment by the Judge which must focus, on the one hand, on the analysis of the expert procedure, in accordance with established scientific standards and on the other hand, the reliability of its conclusions resulted in the DNA scientific expert report. In this way, the Judge will act as an epistemologist who will not assume the position of scientist but as an evaluator of the correctness of this scientific test and issue an assessment with the other available means of proof. This position has been assumed by our Supreme Court of Justice that in The Plenary Agreement No. 4-2015/CIJ-116, it has provided valuation criteria inspired by those established in the American system from the Daubert case. The concept and analysis of a nano‐scale multifunctional logic gate based on graphene/hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) plasmonic waveguides at a wavelength of 7.5µm are presented. By using graphene as a metamaterial with outstanding electro‐optical properties, various logical operations including AND, OR, and XOR are implemented. The proposed multifunctional structure supports surface plasmons (SPs) whose dispersion properties can be controlled by applying an electrical field to graphene. The effects of the incident polarisation and the substrate of graphene on the transmission of SPs are investigated. Simulations by finite difference time domain method show that the extinction ratios for the presented logical operations are higher than 15dB. Also, the structure has a compact footprint of 1.12µm2 which is suitable for using in integrated photonic circuits. This provides a path for the development of novel nano‐scale practical on‐chip applications such as plasmonic memory devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Objective Long-term outcomes after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) are threatened by aortic neck dilation (AND), graft migration, and subsequent endoleak development. The aim of this study was to determine the rate of AND and the occurrence of endoleaks after fenestrated EVAR of juxtarenal aneurysms with physician-modified endovascular grafts (PMEGs). Methods The study included 77 patients presenting with asymptomatic and ruptured juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms treated with PMEGs who received radiologic follow-up. Analysis of computed tomography images took place on a three-dimensional workstation (TeraRecon, San Mateo, Calif). Aortic neck diameter was measured before and after EVAR at the lowest patent renal artery outer wall to outer wall. Significant AND was defined as >3-mm increase between baseline and follow-up, and sac regression >5 mm was considered significant. The patient's 1-month initial postoperative computed tomography measurement was considered baseline. The rate of AND was measured by comparing the baseline measurement with measurements at 6 months, 12 months, and annually thereafter up to 4 years. Results In this cohort of patients, 75% were men with a mean age of 74 ± 7.9 years. Median preoperative aneurysm size was 62 (57-73) mm, and median follow-up was 12 (3.5-30) months. Mean endograft oversizing was 17% ± 12.5%, and mean seal zone length was 41 ± 11 mm. At 1-year follow-up, the median aortic neck increase was 1.7 (0-3) mm. Maximum aneurysm size decreased dramatically during the first postoperative year, with significant sac regression in 65% of the patients. Aortic neck diameter at 1 year did correlate positively with the percentage of device oversizing. No other correlations were found. During the 4-year follow-up, there were no cases of type IA endoleaks. Conclusions AND does not influence outcome after endovascular repair of juxtarenal aneurysms using PMEGs. Abstract The sensory properties of the simplest Probe- 1 are reported. Probe- 1 exhibits colorimetric and fluorimetric responses towards higher pHs. Also, a borate aqueous solution of Probe- 1 (pH = 10) could to detect the presence of Cu2+ in aqueous solution with high selectivity and sensitivity (3 μM). The Probe- 1 /Cu2+ complex responses selectively towards the presence of S2−, H 2 PO 4 - and P 2 O 7 4- through a de-metallization mechanism, resulting in a fluorescence enhancement of 143%, 97% and 134%, respectively. On the other hand, the Probe- 1 absorbance increases significantly only by S2- (131%). Acute airway acidification is a potent stimulus of sensory nerves and occurs commonly with gastroesophageal reflux disease, cystic fibrosis, and asthma. In infants and adults, airway acidification can acutely precipitate asthma-like symptoms, and treatment-resistant asthma can be associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Airway protective behaviors, such as mucus secretion and airway smooth muscle contraction, are often exaggerated in asthma. These behaviors are manifested through activation of neural circuits. In some populations, the neural response to acid might be particularly important. For example, the immune response in infants is relatively immature compared with adults. Infants also have a high frequency of gastroesophageal reflux. Thus, in the current study, we compared the transcriptomes of an airwaynervous system circuit (e.g., tracheal epithelia, nodose ganglia, and brain stem) in neonatal piglets challenged with intra-airway acid. We hypothesized that the identification of parallel changes in the transcriptomes of two neutrally connected tissues might reveal the circuit response, and, hence, molecules important for the manifestation of asthma-like features. Intra-airway acid induced airway hyperreactivity and airway obstruction in male piglets. In contrast, female piglets displayed airway obstruction without airway hyperreactivity. Pairwise comparisons revealed parallel changes in genes directly implicated in airway hyperreactivity (scn10a) in male acid-challenged piglets, whereas acid-challenged females exhibited parallel changes in genes associated with mild asthma (stat 1 and isg15). These findings reveal sex-specific responses to acute airway acidification and highlight distinct molecules within a neural circuit that might be critical for the manifestation of asthma-like symptoms in pediatric populations. In recent years, there is a trend towards the development of reconfigurable circuits where devices using them offer flexibility and performance. Different technologies are explored, such as threshold logic gates (TLGs), which are one of the most promising future technologies, and researchers are examining and improving different characteristics such as density, performance and power dissipation. This research presents a 4‐bit arithmetic logic unit (ALU), which was designed using TLGs through reconfigurable logic blocks with a universal circuit configured with three stages based on a floating‐gate metal oxide semiconductor transistor with more than one control gate, which was named neu‐complementary metal oxide semiconductor (ν‐CMOS). The main contribution is that this device is configured as a ν‐CMOS inverter and has the ability to program the threshold voltage of its transfer curve by applying an external voltage to the additional control gates. The number of input bits and the magnitude of the weighted input capacitances related to control gates of the ν‐CMOS inverters is obtained and analyzed by using the graphical method (floating‐gate potential diagram). Finally, the proposed 4‐bit ALU shows similar results as those measured from the ALUs implemented in the field programmable gate array evaluation kit and the Motorola chip MC14581B. The aim of the present study was to compare the self-determination and its dimensions between students with and without intellectual disability. Research methodology is the form of scientific-comparison. The population of the study consisted of all students with and without intellectual disability age 14 years and older which in educated year 91-92 are educating at schools in shiraz. The participans of this study were 120 students (60 with intellectual disability and 60 without intellectual disability) with age of 14 and above, which in targeted way were selected from the school related to with and without intellectual disability students. In this research, self-determination and its dimensions were evaluated by using Self-Determination Scale (Gomezvela.et.al,2012). In order to analysis the data, two way analyse of variance and repeated measures were used. The results indicated that students with intellectual disability gain lower score in self-determination rather than student without intellectual disability. Also there were not significant difference between boys and girls in total scores of self-determination, behavior autonomy and psychologically empowered dimensions. Only in self-realization there was a significant difference between girls and boys. The other results of this research is that, among the different dimension of self-determination between two groups students with and without intellectual disability, the higher rank accrued to psychological empowerment and the lower rank accrued to behavioral autonomy. Also according to the parents education levels, there was significant difference in total score of self-determination and its dimensions between both groups of students with and without intellectual disability.

The dry adhesive wear behavior of 1 060 and 1095 steels using pin on wheel wear test rig at room temperature under different wear conditions has been studied. The prepared specimens are normalized to make sure that all specimens are in the same conditions.'The objective of this research is to study the effect of operating parameters such as rotating speed , normal load and sliding time and their interaction on the wear behavior using regression analysis. Detailed data obtained were used to develop equations to describe the wear rate of steels. The wear losses of the specimens were expressed in terms of simultaneous contribution from the effects of rotating speed , normal load , sliding time and their interaction.By applying the parameters such as rotating speed , normal load , and sliding time,it is observed that certain effects on the wear behavior of two types steel , the 1060 steel , sliding time is the main factor, followed by normal load and rotating speed . However ,for the 1095 steel , rotating speed i s the main factor, followed by normal load and sliding time.From results, it was concluded that the wear behavior of these steels and the effects of these parameters on the wear depend on the physical and mechanical properties of these types of steels.

Breast cancer is the global health problem. It is the highest prevalent site-specific cancer in women throughout the world and the most common reason of death in middle age women, following lung cancer. Up to 5% of breast cancers are caused by inheritance. Male breast cancer accounts for less than 1%. Mammography is the first imaging study to evaluate breast abnormalities, Ultrasound is particularly useful in young women with dense breasts. Core needle biopsy permits the analysis of breast tissue architecture and whether invasive cancer is present. To compare core needle biopsy and imaging, accuracy of each modality for the purpose of the diagnosis and their impact on preoperative planning before surgical treatment. A retrospective cohort study was performed in 70 cases of breast cancer during 2015-2017 at Slemani Breast Center/ Kurdistan region. Inclusion criteria any patient with diagnosed as breast cancer for whom core biopsy and imaging techniques (ultrasound and mammography) were done, Age 25 years and above. Exclusion criteria, patient with breast mass who did not underwent: one of the two modalities, Age below 25 years, pregnant women. In the current study: mean age / year for the participants were Mean age = 51.34 year ± 12.85 SD), Sixty nine cases were female and one male. By core biopsy (97.1%) is positive for malignancy. In this study: results about 34.28% of BIRADS V (ultrasound)lesions proved to be positive for malignancy by core biopsy, 1.43% of BIRADS V were negative for malignancy and the association were statistically highly significant, for BIRADS III lesions 17.14% were proved as positive for malignancy by core biopsy. About 45.7% of BIRADS V (mammography were positive for malignancy by core biopsy and the associations were found to be statistically highly significant and for BIRADS III 12.85% of lesions were positive for malignancy by core biopsy. Without additional circuitry, the half-bridge modular multilevel converter (HB-MMC) is endangered under dc-side faults. Typically, a bypass thyristor is augmented to each HB cell to take up fault current until ac circuit breakers interrupt the dc fault. This paper proposes a dc fault protection concept for HB-MMC stations that requires insignificant extra silicon area relative to the thyristor bypass concept. Herein, bypass thyristors of typical HB cells are rearranged such that an independent modular shadow rectifier bridge (SRB) is formed. A low-loss switch assembly is utilized to immediately isolate the MMC following fault detection and the SRB suppresses the fault current by injecting a reverse dc voltage. Among several advantages, the proposed arrangement incurs insignificant losses in steady state, and in some arrangements the MMC is capable of operating in STATCOM mode briefly after fault inception to support ac grid voltage. The proposed concept may be suitable for clearing temporary faults on overhead HVdc lines. Several structural variations will be viewed and discussed. Applicability for a two-level voltage source converter will be addressed. The concept is validated by detailed numerical simulations of a ±200-kV HB-MMC station under dc fault.
