Background Bronchial asthma (BA) and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) are two major chronic diseases affecting the health of children. OSAHS may aggravate BA, adding to the difficulties in BA control, and BA can lead to the occurrence or progression of OSAHS through various mechanisms, such a relationship between them has attracted increasing attention. Objective To explore the clinical features and influencing factors of children with BA complicated with OSAHS. Methods One hundred and nine children with BA who were admitted to Children's Asthma Center, Gansu Provincial Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from September 2021 to August 2022 were selected, including 49 with OSAHS (BA with OSAHS group) and 60 without (simple BA group). The general clinical data, pulmonary function test results, and serum levels of inflammatory cytokines, 25-hydroxyvitamin D 〔25 (OH) D〕 and C-reactive protein (CRP) were collected. The clinical features were analyzed, and factors associated with OSAHS in BA were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression. In order to improve the accuracy of deep learning optical flow estimation based on encoder-decoder U-Net, a modified supervised deep optical flow learning network combined with attention mechanism is proposed, which consists of a contracting part and an expanding part. In contracting part, high-level feature information is ex-tracted using a series of convolutional layers, and spatial feature maps are then restored to full resolution by conducting successive deconvolution in expanding part. In this paper, attention mechanism is embedded in U-Net to learn inter-dependencies among the channels so that the channel-wise features can be weighted adaptively, which can enhance the performance of feature extraction. Meanwhile, the proposed network also combines dilated convolution to enlarge the receptive field without changing the size of convolutional kernel. Further, constancy constraints and smoothness constraints from variational method are also adopted so that priori knowledge can be used to improve the accuracy of optical flow estimation. Extensive experiments are conducted on synthesis image sequence datasets and the experi-mental results show the proposed network is effective for improving accuracy of deep learning optical flow estimation.

As the next generation of telecommunication standard and technology, 5G makes it possible for the network to support more advanced technologies like IoT, VR/AR, etc, due to its unique features, high bandwidth and low latency. Those mushrooming new application scenarios and service demand has been bringing MNOs (mobile network operators) huge opportunities as well as challenges. With the development of AI and machine learning technology, MNOs can not only upgrade their own business but also enter more fields with the advantage of "data tunnel" to provide customized solutions for consumers. How AI can empower the MNOs in 5G era from 5 aspects was represented. First of all, the possible challenges brought by 5G were introduced. What entailed was the necessity and feasibility. Then, 3 points where MNOs could focus on to carry out AI technologies were discussed, as namely intelligent network, intelligent marketing and service and industrial internet. We report the robust room-temperature ferromagnetic behavior and electromagnetic microwave absorption property of Cr-doped MoS2 nanosheets synthesized by hydrothermal method. The static and dynamic measurement results indicate that the Cr dopants can effectively improve the ferromagnetic behavior of MoS2 nanosheets as well as their microwave attenuation performance in the frequency range from 2 to 18 GHz. An minimal reflection loss value of − 43 dB is achieved with 2 mm thickness and the Cr dopants of 4.24 at.%. This study demonstrates the capability of Cr-doped MoS2 nanosheets to be an outstanding candidate for high-efficiency microwave absorption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Manipulating electronic and magnetic properties of two-dimensional transitional-metal dichalcogenides has raised a lot of attention recently. Herein we report the synthesis and ferromagnetic properties of phase-transfer induced room temperature ferromagnetic behavior in 1 T@2H-MoSe2 nanosheets. Experimental results indicate the saturated magnetization of the 1 T@2H-MoSe2 compound increases first and then decreases as the increasing of 1 T-MoSe2 phase, where 65.58% 1 T-MoSe2 phase incorporation in 2H-MoSe2 could enhance the saturated magnetization from 0.32 memu/g to 8.36 memu/g. Besides, obvious magnetoresistance behaviors are observed in these samples, revealing their potential applications in future spintronics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objective: Whether gemcitabine plus platinum chemotherapy is superior to gemcitabine or platinum single-agent chemotherapy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is still in dispute, and the aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine combining platinum chemotherapy for patients with NSCLC., Methods: We searched relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) from VIP, CBM, CNKI, the Cochrane library, PUBMED and EMBASE. We traced the related references and experts in this field and communicated with other authors to obtain the information that has not been found. We made quality assessment of qualified RCTs assessed by the exclusion and inclusion criteria and used RevMan 5.0 provided by the Cochrane Collaboration to perform meta-analysis., Results: Four RCTs were eligible and included 984 patients. Meta analysis results suggested that: compared with gecitabine single-agent chemotherapy, the combination had a statistically significant benefit in increasing the response rate (OR = 3.29, 95% CI: 1.79-6.05, P = 0.000 1) and 2-year survival rate (OR = 3.22, 95% CI: 1.45-7.12, P = 0.004) while increased the risk of the incidence of adverse reactions, especially the grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia (RR = 8.16, 95% CI: 1.71-39.07, P = 0.009); compared with cisplatin single-agent chemotherapy, the combination had a statistically significant benefit in increasing the response rate (OR = 3.51, 95% CI: 2.20-5.60, P < 0.01) and 1-year survival rate (OR = 1.67, 95% CI: 1.16-2.41, P = 0.006) while increased the risk of the incidence of adverse reactions, especially the grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia (OR = 28.55, 95% CI: 14.06-57.04, P < 0.01)., Conclusion: Compared with single-agent chemotherapy, the combining can significantly improve the efficiency and survival rate while increase the toxicity rare. The results still need to be proved by high quality RCTs.

Background: It was unclear whether advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients could benefit from erlotinib therapy. This study was aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NSCLC patients treated with erlotinib., Methods: The relevant randomized controlled trials (RCT) were searched from VIP, CMB, CNKI, PubMed, EMBASE and The Cochrane Library. The related references and experts in this field were traced, and other authors were communicated with to obtain the information that has not been found. Quality assessment of qualified RCTs assessed by the exclusion and inclusion criteria and RevMan 5.0 provided by the Cochrane Collaboration was used to perform meta-analysis., Results: Three RCTs involving 2 969 patients were included. Meta analysis results suggested that erlotinib was superior to placebo for one year survival rate (OR=1.18, 95%CI: 1.01-1.38), tumor response rate (OR=1.24, 95%CI: 1.03-1.49), median overall survival, median progression-free survival and tumor responses duration. At the same time, the incidence of grade 3-4 skin rash (OR=16.33, 95%CI: 7.01-38.02) and diarrhea (OR=5.02, 95%CI: 2.93-8.60) of the adverse reactions was increased., Conclusions: Advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients could benefit from Erlotinib therapy, but the incidence of skin rash and diarrhea was significantly increased, and in the absence of damage to the blood system, serious liver and kidney damage, cardiac toxicity, etc, there were no difference with placebo.
