Purpose: The objective of this study is to explore critical success factors in Internet of Things applying and their importance level in tourism companies using the fuzzy theory. Theoretical framework: This paper uses the TOE framework and adds a customer security variable. Therefore, the framework includes four variables technology, organization, environment, and customer security (TOEC) which are the four aspects of this research framework. Design/methodology/approach: By integrating FAHP and FAHP extension methods, the study finds that the critical success factors for IoT application in tourism companies, including technology, organization, environment, and customer security. Findings: The result show that, the first ranking is organization factor, the second ranking belongs to technology, customer securities come with third ranking, and the fourth ranking is environment. This result also indicates that IT Human resources, Technology infrastructure, Top management support, and organization readiness are the prioritized critical success factors for IoT applications in tourism companies. Research, Practical & Social implications: This paper contributes to the understanding of IoT, its features and highlights the importance of new technology and solutions in tourism industry. Originality/value: This study fills the gap in the TEO model by adding the factor of customer securities so-called TEOC model.

Purpose The purpose of this research is to study the clinical outcomes using a next-generation sequencing-based protocol allowing for simultaneous testing of mutations in the beta thalassemia (HBB) gene, including single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers for PGT-M along with low-pass whole genome analysis of chromosome aneuploidies for PGT-A. Methods A combined PGT-M (thalassemia) plus PGT-A system was developed for patients undergoing IVF in Vietnam. Here we developed a system for testing numerous thalassemia mutations plus SNP-based testing for backup mutation analysis and contamination control using next-generation sequencing (NGS). Low -pass next-generation sequencing was used to assess aneuploidy in some of the clinical PGT cases. Patients underwent IVF followed by embryo biopsy at the blastocyst stage for combined PGT-A/M. Results Two cases have completed the entire process including transfer of embryos, while a further nine cases have completed the IVF and PGT-M/A analysis but have not completed embryo transfer. In the two cases with embryo transfer, both patients achieved pregnancy with an unaffected, euploid embryo confirmed through prenatal diagnosis. In the further nine cases, 39 embryos were biopsied and all passed QC for amplification. There were 8 unaffected embryos, 31 carrier embryos, and 11 affected embryos. A subset of 24 embryos also had PGT-A analysis with 22 euploid embryos and 2 aneuploid embryos. Conclusions Here we report the development and clinical application of a combined PGT-M for HBB and PGT-A for gross chromosome aneuploidies from 11 patients with detailed laboratory findings along with 2 cases that have completed embryo transfer.

The antioxidant and hypoglycemic capacities of various solvent fractions from the trunk-bark methanol extract of Terminalia alata Heyne ex Roth (T. alata) were investigated. The DPPH radical scavenging assay was used to evaluate the antioxidant activity, and the methods for determination of digestive enzymes inhibitory activity and fasting blood glucose reduction capacity in diabetic rats were used to determine the hypoglycemic activity of the extract fractions. The results indicated that higher total phenolics content was measured with increasing polarity of extraction solvent and DPPH radical scavenging activity coincided with phenolics content. Ethyl acetate fraction (EAF), n-butanol fraction (BF), and water fraction (WF) were obtained. They possessed α-amylase inhibition with the IC50 values of 0.056 ± 0.001, 0.138 ± 0.005, and 0.022 ± 0.001 mg.mL-1, respectively, which were lower than acarbose (IC50 = 0.154 ± 0.02 mg.mL-1). In contrast, IC50 values of α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of these fractions were higher than those of acarbose. In addition, these fractions also lowered fasting blood glucose concentrations in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats at a dose of 200 mg.kg-1 bw (body weight) without inducing body weight loss, which was not observed when treating with acarbose. The EAF and WF of trunk-bark of T. alata are recommended as potent sources for further research on antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities.

A simple and straightforward approach was used to prepare Fe2O3/graphene nanocomposites with different temperature conditions. The nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, field emission scanning microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and photoluminescence (PL). The results show that Fe2O3 nanoparticles with size in range of 60-100 nm are anchored on the surface and filled between the graphene nanosheets at hydrothermal reaction. The PL spectrum exhibits the emission peaks appeared at ~ 650 nm and ~ 720 nm.

With the advantage of culture and historical tourism resource, Hanoi has to finalize its tourism development strategy for the long term. This study aims to help tourism planners and marketers to get an understanding that may provide a foundation for their strategic marketing decision in homestay tourism service. The empirical analysis used data from 150 international visitors who have experience in using homestay service in Duonglam old village. To test the hypotheses among tourist motivation, satisfaction with destination loyalty, regression is adopted. This study result show that climate conditions, the destination can be easily reached, the quality of the accommodation, beauty of the scenery and cleanliness are ranked most important attribute for tourist satisfaction with Duonglam village. Another hand the result also indicates negative image about tourist service and culture events of Duonglam old village. Implications of the findings for tourism marketers and research limitation are also discussed., Bu çalışma, apart turizm hizmet sektöründe stratejik pazarlama kararının tesis edilmesi anlayışını sağlamak için turizm planlamacılarına ve turizmcilere yardım etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ampirik analiz için Duonglam Eski Köyü’nün apart hizmetinden faydalanmış 150 uluslararası ziyaretçinin oluşturduğu datalar kullanılmıştır. Turist motivasyonu ve nihai varış noktası sadakatindeki memnuniyet arasındaki hipotezleri test etmek amacıyla regresyon yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Bu çalışma Duonglam köyündeki iklim şartları, nihai varış noktasına ulaşım kolaylığı, konaklama kalitesi, doğal güzellikler ve hijyen şartlarının turist memnuniyeti üzerinde önemli etkileri olduğu sonucunu çıkarmıştır. Diğer taraftan da bu sonuçlar Duonglam Eski Köyü’nün kültürel aktiviteleri ve turizm hizmet sektörü hakkında olumsuz bir kanıyı temsil etmektedir. Ayrıca çalışmada, araştırmanın sınırı ve turizm sektörü çalışanları için elde edilen bulguların sonuçları tartışılmıştır.

This paper presents a novel 3D point cloud gesture recognition system, based on an existing low-cost, accurate and easy to implement 2D point cloud gesture recognition system called $P. Our work improves recognition rates and lowers algorithmic complexity. We develop new 3D gestures, such as the GUN gesture and the SHAKE gesture, while also developing 3D poses like the L pose, OK pose, ROCK pose and PEACE pose for the LeapMotion Device. We demonstrate proposed gesture and pose methods on various 3D environments including a Monsoon mini-game, a cave painting interaction and a target practice scene. The average recognition rates for 3D gestures and poses were compared against the 2D, 3D and 3D+ recognition systems. The results indicate that most gestures in the proposed system were improved in comparison to the existing ones.

This study aims to determine an effective method of measuring the efficiency of promotional strategies for tourist destinations. Complicating factors that influence promotional efficiency (PE), such as promotional activities (PA), destination attribute (DA), and destination image (DI), make it difficult to evaluate the effectiveness of PE. This study develops a rule-based decision support mechanism using fuzzy set theory and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional strategies. Additionally, a statistical analysis is conducted using SPSS (Statistics Package for Social Science) to confirm the results of the fuzzy AHP analysis. This study finds that government policy is the most important factor for PE and that service staff (internal beauty) is more important than tourism infrastructure (external beauty) in terms of customer satisfaction and long-term strategy in PE. With respect to DI, experts are concerned first with tourist perceived value, second with tourist satisfaction and finally with tourist loyalty, Bu çalışma, turizm sektöründe reklam stratejilerinin verimliliği analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Reklamcılık faaliyetleri, turistik yerlerin özellikleri ile bu yerlerin imajı, reklam verimliliğini etkileyen dinamikler olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak reklam stratejilerinin verimliliğini hesaplamada bulanık küme teorisi ve analitik hiyerarşi süreci kullanılmıştır. Buna ek olarak ortaya çıkan sonuçları teyit etmek amacıyla da SPSS yardımıyla istatistiksel analizler yapılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, reklam stratejilerinin verimliliğine ilişkin devletin yürütmüş olduğu çalışmaların birinci dereceden önemli olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bunun yanında çalışmanın bulgularına göre müşteri memnuniyeti ve uzun dönemli stratejiler açısından turistik yerlerde sağlanan hizmetlerin o bölgenin altyapı ve fiziki şartlarından çok daha önemli olduğunu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Son olarak ise turizm bölgesinin imajıyla ilgili olarak öncelikle turistlere verilen değer, akabinde de müşteri memnuniyeti ve turistlerin bölgeye olan sadakati, uzmanlar tarafından ön plana çıkarılmaktadır.
