Many studies have reported that additive manufactured ceramic lattices with microarchitectures often exhibit low‐strain brittle fracture behavior. In this work, the fracture behavior of ceramic triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices was optimized by introducing a hybrid design strategy that utilizes different microarchitectures. Hybrid ceramic TPMS structures incorporating Gyroid and Primitive unit cells were successfully fabricated using the Lithography‐based ceramics manufacturing (LCM) technique, and their mechanical properties were evaluated under both quasistatic and dynamic compression. The hybrid designs exhibited improved damage tolerance and fracture strength compared to their normal counterparts. Compared to normal Gyroid and Primitive structures, the G2P2 structure exhibits the best energy absorption capacity of 12.5 × 104 J/m3, demonstrating a 13% and 217% increase in energy absorption capacity under quasistatic loading, respectively. Additionally, compared with other normal and hybrid designs, the G2P2 structure exhibits the highest fracture strength of 13.03 MPa under quasistatic loading conditions. Moreover, the P2G hybrid structure displayed a distinct deformation pattern characterized by a smoother stress decrease under quasistatic loading, enhancing damage tolerance. The order of Young's modulus under quasistatic loading was Normal Gyroid ≈ G2P2 > G2P1 > Normal Primitive > P2G. Fracture strength follows the order of G2P2 ≈ Normal Gyroid > Normal Primitive > G2P1 > P2G. The mechanical properties of hybrid TPMS structures suggest that the hybrid design strategy can broaden the achievable range of mechanical properties among ceramic TPMS structures. Single Sb atoms on carbon vacancy-rich C 3 N 4 (Cv-C 3 N 4) with an electron-rich state tend to efficiently transfer electrons to pauling-type absorbed O 2 and boost the photocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction to H 2 O 2. [Display omitted] Single-atom catalysts supported on semiconductors can serve as active sites for efficient oxygen reduction to hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2). However, researchers have long been puzzled by the lack of guidance on optimizing the performance of single-atom photocatalysts. In this study, we propose a versatile strategy that utilizes carbon vacancies to regulate the electronic configuration of antimony (Sb) atoms on carbon nitrides (C 3 N 4). This strategy has been found to significantly enhance the photocatalytic production of H 2 O 2. The H 2 O 2 evolution rate of Sb single-atom on carbon vacancy-rich C 3 N 4 (designated as Sb 1 /Cv-C 3 N 4) is 5.369 mmol g-1h−1, which is 10.9 times higher than C 3 N 4 alone. By combining experimental characterizations and density functional theory simulations, we reveal the strong electronic interaction between Sb atoms and carbon vacancy-rich C 3 N 4. This interaction is capable for maintaining the electron-rich state of Sb atoms, facilitating efficient electron transfer to pauling-type absorbed oxygen, and ultimately enhancing the formation of *OOH intermediates. This innovative defect-engineering approach can manipulate the electronic configuration of single-atom catalysts, providing a new avenue to boost the photocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction towards H 2 O 2 production. Background: Rhino‐orbito‐cerebral mucormycosis (ROCM) is an opportunistic pathogenic fungal disease caused by the fungus mucor, and it is a life‐threatening fungal infection. The ulceration on the skin of the head and neck, accompanied by rhinitis, headache, orbital inflammation, and eyelid edema, should raise a high suspicion of Mucor infection in diabetic patients with inadequately controlled blood glucose. Case Description: The clinical data of a patient with ROCM were analyzed retrospectively, and the clinical features were analyzed. The patient was admitted to the hospital with "diabetic hyperosmotic coma" after presenting with fatigue, poor appetite, and disturbances in consciousness as initial symptoms. After improving relevant examinations, controlling underlying diseases, and administering antifungal treatment, the final clinical outcome was death. Conclusion: ROCM is more prevalent in patients with uncontrolled diabetes and varied clinical manifestations. The characteristic feature is an eschar‐like necrosis of the local skin or mucosa. The gold criteria for diagnosis are pathology and fungal culture; imaging examination does not reveal any specific manifestations. Early diagnosis and effective treatment are the keys. Alternative protein sources for the human diet may help overcome the growing food pressure. Plants with abundant resources and high protein content are potential sources. In this article, graded proteins and isolated proteins from Corylus mandshurica Maxim kernels were extracted by the Osborne procedure and the alkali-solution and acid-isolation method, respectively, and the contents of the five proteins, and the differences in nutritional value and structural properties of the main proteins, were investigated. Amino acid analysis revealed that the total essential amino acids in the five proteins ranged from 249.58 to 324.52 mg/g. The essential amino acid profiles in the proteins were similar to those of FAO/WHO except for the alcohol-soluble protein. The essential amino acid indices ranged from 58.59 to 72.19 and the biological values ranged from 52.16 to 66.99, and the highest nutritional indices were found for the isolate and water-soluble protein, which were 41.68 and 55.78, respectively. The molecular weight pattern distribution of the protein isolates of the Corylus mandshurica Maxim kernel was more similar to that of the water-soluble proteins by SDS–PAGE. The β-sheet and α-helix were the main secondary structures in the two protein fractions. The fluorescence spectra showed that the maximum fluorescence intensity of the two proteins and their λmax were also somewhat different. From the perspective of microscopic morphology, the two proteins are mainly compact and irregular lamellar structures, but the surface of the water-soluble protein is more flat and regular. Both proteins have good solubility, and the water-soluble protein has higher solubility. In general, the protein isolates of the Corylus mandshurica Maxim kernel and the water-soluble protein showed their potential as plant protein resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(1) Background: Exosomes (EXOs) have been considered a new target thought to be involved in and treat wound healing. More research is needed to fully understand EXO characteristics and the mechanisms of EXO-mediated wound healing, especially wound healing after burn injury. (2) Methods: All EXOs were isolated from 85 serum samples of 29 burn patients and 13 healthy individuals. We characterized the EXOs for morphology and density, serum concentration, protein level, marker expression, size distribution, and cytokine content. After a confirmation of EXO uptake by dermal fibroblasts, we also explored the functional regulation of primary human normal skin and hypertrophic scar fibroblast cell lines by the EXOs in vitro, including cell proliferation and apoptosis. (3) Results: EXOs dynamically changed their morphology, density, size, and cytokine level during wound healing in burn patients, which were correlated with burn severity and the stages of wound healing. EXOs both from burn patients and healthy individuals stimulated dermal fibroblast proliferation and apoptosis. (4) Conclusions: EXO features may be important signals that influence wound healing after burn injury; however, to understand the mechanisms by which EXOs regulates the fibroblasts in healing wounds, further studies will be required. In recent years, many nontraditional classification methods, such as random forest, boosting, and neural network, have been widely used in applications. Their performance is typically measured in terms of classification accuracy. While the classification error rate and the like are important, they do not address a fundamental question: Is the classification method underfitted? To our best knowledge, there is no existing method that can assess the goodness of fit of a general classification procedure. Indeed, the lack of a parametric assumption makes it challenging to construct proper tests. To overcome this difficulty, we propose a methodology called BAGofT that splits the data into a training set and a validation set. First, the classification procedure to assess is applied to the training set, which is also used to adaptively find a data grouping that reveals the most severe regions of underfitting. Then, based on this grouping, we calculate a test statistic by comparing the estimated success probabilities and the actual observed responses from the validation set. The data splitting guarantees that the size of the test is controlled under the null hypothesis, and the power of the test goes to one as the sample size increases under the alternative hypothesis. For testing parametric classification models, the BAGofT has a broader scope than the existing methods since it is not restricted to specific parametric models (e.g., logistic regression). A new magnetic adsorbent, namely, MnFe2O4/D201, with deep-treatment ability and high selectivity adsorption for As(V) was prepared. According to isotherm adsorption and kinetics, As(V) adsorption is primarily used for chemical bonding throughout the single-layer adsorbing process. The maximum As(V) adsorption capacity of MnFe2O4/D201 can reach 35.8 mg/g at pH 3. MnFe2O4/D201 also exhibits higher selectivity adsorption against Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, and PO43-. According to the thermodynamic results, the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. The adsorption capacity is maintained at 81% of the initial after ten adsorption-desorption cycles. As(V) concentrations ranging from 1 mg/L to 10 μ g/L can be treated in fixed-bed column experiments. The effectual cure volume of As(V) reaches 1332 BV (26.64 L). [Display omitted] Tandem catalysts consisting of metal oxides and zeolites have been widely studied for catalytic carbon dioxide (CO 2) hydrogenation to lower olefins, while the synergies of two components and their influence on the catalytic performance are still unclear. In this study, the composite catalysts composed of indium oxide loaded with zirconia (In 2 O 3 /ZrO 2) and silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve number 34 (SAPO-34) are developed. Performance results indicate that the synergies between these two components can promote CO 2 hydrogenation. Further characterizations reveal that the chabazite (CHA) structure and acid sites in the SAPO-34 are destroyed when preparing In-Zr/SAPO by powder milling (In-Zr/SAPO-M) because of the excessive proximity of two components, which inhibits the activation of CO 2 and hydrogen (H 2), thus resulting in much higher methane selectivity than the catalysts prepared by granule stacking (In-Zr/SAPO-G). Proper granule integration manner promotes tandem reaction, thus enhancing CO 2 hydrogenation to lower olefins, which can provide a practicable strategy to improve catalytic performance and the selectivity of the target products. Background: Identifying candidates responsive to treatment is important in lupus nephritis (LN) at the renal flare (RF) because an effective treatment can lower the risk of progression to end-stage kidney disease. However, machine learning (ML)-based models that address this issue are lacking. Methods: Transcriptomic profiles based on DNA microarray data were extracted from the GSE32591 and GSE112943 datasets. Comprehensive bioinformatics analyses were performed to identify disease-defining genes (DDGs). Peripheral blood samples (GSE81622, GSE99967, and GSE72326) were used to evaluate the effect of DDGs. Single-sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA) scores of the DDGs were calculated and correlated with specific immunology genes listed in the nCounter panel. GSE60681 and GSE69438 were used to examine the ability of the DDGs to discriminate LN from other renal diseases. K-means clustering was used to obtain the separate gene sets. The clustering results were extended to data derived using the nCounter technique. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) algorithm was used to identify genes with high predictive value for treatment response after the first RF in each cluster. LASSO models with tenfold validation were built in GSE200306 and assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis with area under curve (AUC). The models were validated by using an independent dataset (GSE113342). Results: Forty-five hub genes specific to LN were identified. Eight optimal disease-defining clusters (DDCs) were identified in this study. Th1 and Th2 cell differentiation pathway was significantly enriched in DDC-6. LCK in DDC-6, whose expression positively correlated with various subsets of T cell infiltrations, was found to be differentially expressed between responders and non-responders and was ranked high in regulatory network analysis. Based on DDC-6, the prediction model had the best performance (AUC: 0.75; 95% confidence interval: 0.44–1 in the testing set) and high precision (0.83), recall (0.71), and F1 score (0.77) in the validation dataset. Conclusions: Our study demonstrates that incorporating knowledge of biological phenotypes into the ML model is feasible for evaluating treatment response after the first RF in LN. This knowledge-based incorporation improves the model's transparency and performance. In addition, LCK may serve as a biomarker for T-cell infiltration and a therapeutic target in LN. In this study, TCA–n‐butanol was chosen as the best deproteinization method for Lonicera japonica polysaccharide (LJP) by comparing the polysaccharide retention rate and the protein clearance rate of five different methods. The response surface methodology (RSM) based on the Box–Behnken design (BBD) was used to optimize the deproteinization conditions as follows: TCA: n‐butanol = 1: 5.1, polysaccharide solution: (TCA–n‐butanol) = 1: 2.8, and shook for 33 min. LJP could promote the thymus and spleen indexes of cyclophosphamide (CTX)‐induced immune‐deficient mice. Besides, the contents of cytokine interleukin‐2 (IL‐2) and hemolysin in mice serum were augmented after treatment with LJP. Based on serum metabolomics analysis, a total of 14 metabolites (VIP >1.0, FC >2 or FC <0.5, and p value <.05) were selected as the potential biological biomarkers related to the LJP for treating CTX‐induced mice. After the pathway enrichment analysis, these metabolites were mainly involved in the relevant pathways of arginine biosynthesis, Citrate cycle, and other metabolic pathways. Network pharmacology further showed that there were 57 key targeting proteins in the intersection of the potential biological biomarkers and immunodeficiency‐related targeting proteins according to protein–protein interactions analysis (PPI). The biological function analysis indicated that the potential biological processes were mainly associated with tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, phospholipid metabolic process, metabolic process, and so on. In conclusion, serum metabolomics combined with network pharmacology could be helpful to clarify the immunomodulatory mechanism of LJP and provide a literature basis for further clinical research on the therapeutic mechanism of LJP. Background. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by attention deficit, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Jing-Ning Granules (JNG) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that can alleviate ADHD. Although JNG is commonly used for the effective treatment of ADHD and has obtained the national invention patent, the exact mechanism of action remains unclear. Objective. In this study, we examined the effect and mechanism of JNG in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). We hypothesized that JNG affects dopaminergic D2/D1-like receptors and related pathways. Materials and Methods. Six rat groups were used in the experiment: Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY, control group) and five SHR groups, including a model group; atomoxetine (ATX, positive control) group; and low, medium, and high-dose JNG groups. The corresponding treatments were daily administered to each group for 6 weeks. A behavioral test, including a step-down test and open field test (OFT), was carried out at the end of treatment. After the behavioral test, all animals were sacrificed, and the brain tissue was collected and analyzed ex vivo; histopathological analysis was performed to assess the pathological changes of the hippocampus; expression of D1-like and D2-like receptors, sensor protein calmodulin (CaM), protein kinase A (PKA), and calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase (CaMKII) in the striatum and hippocampus was measured by western blot and real-time quantitative PCR (RT-PCR); cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels in the striatum were analyzed using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), while the level of Ca2+ in the striatum was analyzed by a calcium kit. Results. Our results showed that ATX or JNG could ameliorate the hyperactive/impulsive behavior and cognitive function of ADHD by promoting neuroprotection. Mechanistically, ATX or JNG could prompt the expressions of Dl-like and D2-like receptors and improve the mRNA and protein levels of cAMP/PKA and Ca2+/CAM/CAMKII signaling pathways. Conclusion. Introduction: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD), mainly mediated by B cells and AQP4 antibody, has a high rate of recurrence. Telitacicept is a novel drug specifically targeting the upstream signaling for the activation of B cell with its following production of autoimmune antibodies. Thus, it may be a promising approach. Our study preliminarily explored the potential safety and effectiveness of Telitacicept following plasma exchange in the treatment of recurrent NMOSD. Methods: This was a single‐center, single‐arm, open‐label study enrolling eight patients with recurrent NMOSD in China. All patients received plasma exchange three times, followed by Telitacicept 240 mg every week for 46 times. The primary endpoint was the time of first recurrence after enrollment. Secondary end points included: changes in Expanded Disability Status Scale score, Optic Spinal Impairment Scale score, Hauser Ambulation Index, number of lesions on MRI, retinal nerve fiber layer thickness measured by optical coherence tomography, latency and amplitude of visual evoked potential, titer of AQP4 antibody, and immune parameters of blood. Safety was also assessed. The study was registered with Chictr.org.cn (ChiCTR1800019427). Results: Eight eligible patients were enrolled. Relapse occurred in two patients (25%) and five patients (63%) remained relapse free after 48 weeks of treatment. The time to first recurrence was prolonged and the number of recurrences was reduced (p < 0.001, power of test = 1). One patient withdrew from the study due to low neutrophil count. No serious adverse events occurred. Conclusions: In this small, uncontrolled study, Telitacicept following plasma exchange has the potential to be a safe treatment for patients with recurrent NMOSD. It may prolong the recurrence interval and reduces the annual count of recurrences. Endometriosis (EM) is a common chronic inflammatory disease in women. Sampson's retrograde menstruation theory is the most widely accepted theory of EM pathogenesis. The periodic bleeding of ectopic lesions is an important pathological feature of this disease, and the occurrence and progression of EM are closely associated with the iron overload caused by ectopic lesions. However, animal models that simulate menstrual-blood reflux and hemorrhage from EM lesions are lacking. In this study, we performed intraperitoneal injection of endometrial fragments and periodic intraperitoneal blood injection to simulate the real cause and disease state of EM and successfully constructed a mouse model of EM iron overload. Our research found that the number, size, and degree of adhesion of EM lesions in the iron-overload model mouse were significantly higher than those in the model mouse. Moreover, the iron concentration in the abdominal fluid and ovary significantly increased, and the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the ovary increased. Conversely, GPX4, GSH, and other anti-ferroptosis-related proteins were downregulated, proving the occurrence of ferroptosis. Huayu Jiedu Fang (HYJDF) is an empirical prescription for EM treatment. This study combined animal experiments, UHPLC-QE-MS analysis, and network pharmacology to analyze whether HYJDF can inhibit ferroptosis to slow down the progression of EM and protect ovarian function. Based on the constructed iron-overload model, HYJDF can reduce the volume of EM lesions and the degree of adhesion, downregulate the total iron concentration in the peritoneal fluid and ovary, upregulate GPX4 expression and GSSG in the ovary, downregulate the level of MDA in the ovary, and promote the development of follicles. We further confirmed that HYJDF can inhibit the progression of EM disease and improve the ovarian function of the model mouse by inhibiting ferroptosis. Finally, through UHPLC-QE-MS and network pharmacology analysis, the natural compounds in HYJDF were identified and verified and the regulatory effect of HYJDF on the EM ferroptosis pathway through the IL-6/hepcidin pathway was preliminarily elucidated. We report a rare case of Cushing's syndrome induced by an ectopic adrenocortical adenoma. A 57-year-old woman was diagnosed with adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-independent Cushing's syndrome based on clinical manifestation and laboratory information. She was found to have a mass in the left renal hilum via contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT). The mass was negative, as seen in somatostatin receptor imaging with 99mTc-hydrazinonicotinyl-Tyr3-octreotide (HYNIC-TOC), and showed mild fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) activity via positron emission tomography (PET)/CT. The results of adrenal venous sampling suggested a left-side adrenal origin of hypercortisolism, possibly secreted by the mass in the renal hilum. Histopathology after surgical resection of the mass confirmed an ectopic adrenocortical adenoma, which was responsible for the patient's Cushing's syndrome. High-quality Aurivillius ferroelectric thin film capacitors have garnered extensive research interest due to their excellent insulating properties, anti-fatigue capabilities, and satisfactory energy storage performance. However, the relatively low energy density of these ferroelectric thin films impedes the miniaturization and integration of capacitor devices. In this work, we have designed a band-gap engineering strategy to enhance the dielectric breakdown strength, consequently improving the energy storage performance of BaBi 4 Ti 4 O 15 (BBT) Aurivillius ferroelectric thin film capacitor. This engineering approach involves incorporating a broader band-gap BiInO 3 (E g ∼ 4.5 eV) into the BBT thin films (E g ∼ 3.59 eV), thereby improving their insulating characteristics. Especially in the BaBi 4 Ti 4 O 15 -0.09BiInO 3 (BBT-0.09BIO) thin film capacitor, an exemplary energy storage density ∼ 111.5 J cm−3 and efficiency ∼ 78.2 % under breakdown electric field of 4227 kV cm−1 are acquired. Furthermore, the BBT-0.09BIO thin film capacitor also demonstrates favorable thermal stability (ranging from 25 to 220 °C), frequency reliability (from 50 Hz to 10,000 Hz), and endurance over 107 fatigue cycles. This work paves the way for further exploration of band-gap engineering applications to enhance energy storage performance in capacitor technology. • High-performance Aurivillius ferroelectric thin films are prepared via band-gap engineering. • Discharged energy density ∼111.5 J/cm3and efficiency ∼78.2 % are achieved. • Remarkable stability of temperature, frequency, and fatigue resistance are attained. Polyethylene (PE) is the most productive plastic product and includes three major polymers including high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) variation in the PE depends on the branching of the polymer chain and its crystallinity. Tenebrio obscurus and Tenebrio molitor larvae biodegrade PE. We subsequently tested larval physiology, gut microbiome, oxidative stress, and PE degradation capability and degradation products under high-purity HDPE, LLDPE, and LDPE powders (<300 μm) diets for 21 days at 65 ± 5% humidity and 25 ± 0.5 °C. Our results demonstrated the specific PE consumption rates by T. molitor was 8.04–8.73 mg PE ∙ 100 larvae−1⋅day−1 and by T. obscurus was 7.68–9.31 for LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE, respectively. The larvae digested nearly 40% of the ingested three PE and showed similar survival rates and weight changes but their fat content decreased by 30–50% over 21-day period. All the PE-fed groups exhibited adverse effects, such as increased benzoquinone concentrations, intestinal tissue damage and elevated oxidative stress indicators, compared with bran-fed control. In the current study, the digestive tract or gut microbiome exhibited a high level of adaptability to PE exposure, altering the width of the gut microbial ecological niche and community diversity, revealing notable correlations between Tenebrio species and the physical and chemical properties (PCPs) of PE-MPs, with the gut microbiome and molecular weight change due to biodegradation. An ecotoxicological simulation by T.E.S.T. confirmed that PE degradation products were little ecotoxic to Daphnia magna and Rattus norvegicus providing important novel insights for future investigations into the environmentally-friendly approach of insect-mediated biodegradation of persistent plastics. Aim. Patients in the hemodialysis stage are prone to psychological pressure of depression and anxiety and have resistance, which affects the clinical treatment effect. Effective psychological intervention plays a very important role in improving patients' psychological pressure and patients' compliance. The aim of this study is to explore the nursing effect of psychological intervention on uremic hemodialysis patients. Methods. There were 126 uremic hemodialysis patients admitted to the hospital from August 2020 to December 2021. The patients were randomly divided into the routine nursing care group (n = 63) and psychological intervention group (n = 63). The routine nursing care group received routine nursing care for uremia hemodialysis patients. The psychological intervention group implemented psychological intervention on uremia hemodialysis patients. The methods of psychological intervention mainly include establishing a good nurse-patient relationship, popularizing hemodialysis knowledge, timely psychological counseling for patients, and organizing patient communication meetings. The treatment compliance, Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) of the two groups were compared before and after nursing. SF-36 scale was used to evaluate the quality of life of patients. The incidence of complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results. The treatment compliance rate and nursing satisfaction of hemodialysis uremic patients in the psychological intervention group were significantly higher than the routine nursing care group. The SAS and SDS of hemodialysis uremia patients in the psychological intervention group were significantly lower than the routine nursing care group after psychological intervention, and SF-36 scale was significantly higher than the routine nursing group. The main complications of uremic hemodialysis patients are hypotension, hyperkalemia, internal fistula occlusion, and infection. Compared with the routine nursing care group, the incidence of complications in the psychological intervention group was significantly reduced. Conclusion. The implementation of psychological nursing intervention for uremic hemodialysis patients have a very significant effect on reducing the incidence of complications and improving anxiety, depression, treatment compliance, and the quality of life and the nursing satisfaction. Objective. To explore the application influence of dexmedetomidine (DEX) and dezocine in patients undergoing lung cancer surgery under general anesthesia and analysis of their roles in recovery time and cognitive function. Methods. A total of 120 patients who accepted thoracoscopic pulmonary wedge resection in our hospital from November 2021 to April 2022 were selected and randomly divided into group A (n =60) and group B (n =60). DEX combined with dezocine-assisted anesthesia was performed to group A, and the equal dose of normal saline was administered to group B, so as to compare their inflammatory influence level, brain function, arterial blood gas index, and cognitive function. Results. Compared with group B, group A obtained significantly lower intraoperative and postoperative inflammatory factor levels (P < 0.001), better postoperative brain function and arterial blood gas index (P < 0.001), and lower Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment (LOTCA) scores after surgery (P < 0.001). Combining DEX with dezocine-assisted general anesthesia can improve the inflammatory factors level of patients undergoing lung cancer surgery and maintain their brain function and oxygen saturation, so that they have better postoperative cognitive function. Objective. Bushen Huoxue Huatan Decoction (BHHD) is a classic prescription for treating polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This study aims to explore the effects and possible mechanisms of BHHD on PCOS by integrating network pharmacology and clinical study. Methods. The components and potential drug targets of BHHD were analysed using the TCMSP platform, and the potential pathogenesis targets for PCOS were analysed using the GeneCards and OMIM databases. Subsequently, a disease-compound-target network diagram was established to identify the targets of BHHD treatment on PCOS. In addition, protein-protein interaction analysis, KEGG pathway analysis, and Gene Ontology biological analysis were carried out to reveal the mechanisms of BHHD. To further validate the analysis, a clinical trial involving 62 PCOS patients was conducted. All patients were treated with BHHD for 3 months and the ovulation rate, anthropometric indicators, clinical symptoms, and serological indicators were measured and compared before and after treatment. Results. The network pharmacology analysis showed that quercetin, luteolin, and kaempferol are the most significant active components in BHHD; STAT3, Jun, AKT1, MAPK3, MAPK1, and TP53 are the most critical drug targets; regulating hormones, reversing insulin (INS) resistance, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, and improving fertility might be the most important mechanisms of BHHD in the treatment of PCOS. After BHHD administration, the cyclic ovulation rate and the clinical symptoms including acanthosis nigricans and acne of patients were obviously improved. The serum endocrine levels of luteinising hormone (LH), LH/follicle-stimulating hormone, testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate, insulin (INS), and area under the INS curve were evidently reversed, and the serum inflammatory factors levels including human interleukin (IL)-18, IL-16, IL-1β, IL-8, macrophage migration inhibitory factor, and human leukocyte differentiation antigen CD40 ligand were greatly reduced. BHHD has a good therapeutic effect on PCOS, and its mechanisms may be related to regulating hormone levels, improving insulin resistance, alleviating inflammation, and promoting pregnancy. The emerging public awareness and government regulations of data privacy motivate new paradigms of collecting and analyzing data that are transparent and acceptable to data owners. We present a new concept of privacy and corresponding data formats, mechanisms, and theories for privatizing data during data collection. The privacy, named Interval Privacy, enforces the raw data conditional distribution on the privatized data to be the same as its unconditional distribution over a nontrivial support set. Correspondingly, the proposed privacy mechanism will record each data value as a random interval (or, more generally, a range) containing it. The proposed interval privacy mechanisms can be easily deployed through survey-based data collection interfaces, e.g., by asking a respondent whether its data value is within a randomly generated range. Another unique feature of interval mechanisms is that they obfuscate the truth but do not perturb it. Using narrowed range to convey information is complementary to the popular paradigm of perturbing data. Also, the interval mechanisms can generate progressively refined information at the discretion of individuals, naturally leading to privacy-adaptive data collection. We develop different aspects of theory such as composition, robustness, distribution estimation, and regression learning from interval-valued data. Background and Objective. Acute liver failure (ALF) is a rare clinical syndrome with a poor prognosis and leads to multiple organ failure. Polygoni Cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix (PCRR) is a commonly used Chinese medicine, which is recognized as a potential therapeutic herb against ALF. This study aimed to explore the pharmacological mechanisms of the therapeutic effect of PCRR in ALF via network pharmacology and molecular docking. Materials and Methods. The potential bioactive compounds of PCRR and their targets were collected from TCMSP, TCMID, and BATMAN-TCM databases with absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion protocols (oral bioavailability ≥30% and drug-likeness ≥0.18). The ALF-related target genes were identified using the GeneCards and OMIM databases. A protein-protein interaction (PPI) network among these targets was constructed using the Cytoscape software to obtain the core targets. The genes associated with ALF were analyzed via Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses to identify the signaling pathways related to the therapeutic effect of PCRR in ALF. Results. In total, 10 bioactive compounds of PCRR and 200 targets related to them were obtained, and 2913 ALF-related target genes were identified. PPI network analysis pinpointed 15 core targets, namely, TP53, AKT1, JUN, HSP90AA1, MAPK1, RELA, TNF, ESR1, IL6, MYC, MAPK14, FOS, RB1, CDKN1A, and EGFR. GO enrichment and KEGG pathway analyses revealed that the therapeutic mechanisms of PCRR in ALF are related to cell metabolism, oxidative stress, inflammation, and hepatocyte apoptosis. Conclusion. This is the first study to explore the therapeutic mechanisms of PCRR in ALF via network pharmacology and molecular docking. In order to improve the retrieval ability of super-resolution multi-space block images, a texture retrieval method of block images based on depth hash is proposed. A texture feature analysis model of super-resolution multi-dimensional partitioned images is constructed, which combines texture spatial structure mapping method to realize depth information fusion of partitioned images, adopts edge feature detection and texture sparse feature clustering to realize texture hierarchical structure feature decomposition of super-resolution multi-dimensional partitioned images, and adopts deep image parameter analysis method to construct pixel structure recombination model of multi-dimensional partitioned images. Multi-dimensional texture parameter structure analysis and information clustering are realized for the collected partitioned images in multi-dimensional space. According to the information clustering results, the texture retrieval and extraction of partitioned images are realized by using the deep hash fusion algorithm, and the information detection and feature recognition capabilities of partitioned images in multi-dimensional space are improved. Simple Summary: Our aim was to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of how tyrosine kinase inhibitors, including sunitinib, contribute to vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation and progression in renal cell carcinoma. Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) has been reported as an alternative channel to increase tumor nutrient supplies and accelerate tumor progression, and is associated with poor survival prognosis in multiple cancers, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The currently used anti-angiogenic treatment for metastatic RCC, sunitinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), has been reported to induce VM formation. Previously we identified that the estrogen receptor β (ERβ) functions as an oncogenic factor to promote RCC progression, supported by the analytic results from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. We have also found evidence that sunitinib induces RCC VM formation by up-regulating ERβ expression. In this study, we further demonstrated that treatment with sunitinib, as well as axitinib, another TKI, could induce ERβ expression in RCC cell lines. Clinical clear cell RCC (ccRCC) patients with higher ERβ expression are more likely to be found VE-cadherin positive and VM positive. Mechanism dissection showed that TKI- induced ERβ transcriptionally up-regulates the circular RNA of DGKD (circDGKD, hsa_circ_0058763), which enhances VE-cadherin expression by sponging the microRNA miR-125-5p family. Targeting circDGKD intercepts sunitinib-pretreatment-induced RCC VM formation, reduces metastases and improves survival in an experimental orthotopic animal model. As microelectronic devices move toward integration and miniaturization, the thin film capacitors with high energy density and charge/discharge efficiency have attracted immense interests in modern electrical energy storage systems. Despite morphotropic phase boundary (Na 0.8 K 0.2) 0.5 Bi 0.5 TiO 3 -based lead-free materials with outstanding ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties, while large ferroelectric hysteresis with high remanent polarization (P r) hinder to improve energy storage capability. Here, novel lead-free relaxor-ferroelectric (RFE) thin film capacitors with high energy density are successfully prepared in (1-x) (Na 0.8 K 0.2) 0.5 Bi 0.5 TiO 3 -xBa 0.3 Sr 0.7 TiO 3 [(1-x)NKBT-xBST] systems. Introducing BST into the NKBT systems is expected to reduce remanent polarization (P r) on account of coupling reestablishment of the polar nano-regions (PNRs) and improving the relaxation behavior. As a result, 0.6NKBT-0.4BST thin film exhibits high energy density (W rec ∼ 54.79 J/cm3) together with satisfactory efficiency (η ∼ 76.42%) at 3846 kV/cm. The stable energy storage performances are achieved within the scope of operating temperatures (20–200 °C) and fatigue cycles (1-107 cycles). In this article, a novel single-switch, high step-up dc–dc converter based on three-winding coupled inductor and voltage multiplier circuit (VMC) is proposed. And on this basis, pump capacitor unit (PCU) is integrated to achieve a very high voltage gain. The converter makes full use of the advantages of three-winding coupled inductor, skillfully combines it with the VMC, and integrates the PCU that can be used in superposition to further improve the voltage gain. The voltage stress of the switch is reduced by using a passive clamping circuit to recycle the leakage energy of the coupled inductor. The operating principle and steady-state analysis of the presented converter in continuous conduction mode are introduced in detail. Moreover, the comparative analysis shows that under the same conditions, the proposed converter has higher voltage gain and lower voltage stress than others. Several advantages include high voltage gain, low voltage stress, low turns ratio of coupled inductor, and high conversion efficiency, make the proposed converter very suitable for new energy generation applications, such as photovoltaic systems. Delayed dark adaptation due to impaired rod photoreceptor homeostasis has been reported as the earliest symptom of eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinitis pigmentosa. Objective measurement of dark adaptation can facilitate early diagnosis to enable prompt intervention to prevent vision loss. However, there is a lack of noninvasive methods capable of spatiotemporal monitoring of photoreceptor changes during dark adaptation. Here we demonstrate functional optical coherence tomography (OCT) for in vivo intrinsic signal optoretinography (ORG) of dark adaptation kinetics in the C57BL/6J mouse retina. Functional OCT revealed a shortening of the outer retina, a rearrangement of the cone and rod photoreceptor interdigitation zone, and a reduction in intrinsic signal amplitude at the photoreceptor inner segment ellipsoid (ISe). A strong positive correlation between the outer retinal shortening and ISe intensity reduction was also confirmed. In the past few years, there has been an increasing worry about the pollution of water caused by the presence of heavy metals. To address this environmental issue, a highly effective adsorbent called ZIF-67/CS-SH was developed. This adsorbent was prepared by grafting thioglycolic acid and loading a metal-organic framework called ZIF-67 onto chitosan, to remove Hg(II) from water. Confirmation of the ZIF-67/CS-SH was achieved by employing a range of techniques including FTIR, XRD, TGA, SEM, EDS, BET, and XPS. Due to the presence of abundant active sites (-SH, O/N-containing functional groups) and ZIF-67, ZIF-67/CS-SH exhibited a high adsorption capacity (949 mg/g at 298 K) and rapid adsorption kinetics (20 min for 91 % removal). The optimal pH for the adsorption process was found to be 5. The adsorption process followed a pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm, with chemisorption being the main adsorption mechanism. The adsorption process was determined to be spontaneous and endothermic. Additionally, ZIF-67/CS-SH demonstrated selective adsorption in the presence of other metal cations at concentrations of 100 mg/L. Furthermore, ZIF-67/CS-SH exhibited excellent regenerative properties, with only a 10 % decrease in adsorption capacity after ten cycles. The key adsorption sites were identified as the –SH groups, O/N-containing functional groups, and ZIF-67 in ZIF-67/CS-SH through FTIR, EDS, and XPS analyses. The issues to be addressed include screening and construction of microorganisms that meet industrial requirements, optimization of bioreactor designs, and novel hybrid fermentation systems such as combining dark fermentation (DF) with methanogenic systems and doping nanomaterials to increase biohydrogen yield. This paper focuses on the biohydrogen production, highlighting various fermentative bioreactor types, influential factors in dark fermentation, and pretreatment techniques. Besides, current strategies to produce biohydrogen, including synthetic biology approaches and metabolic engineering, are assessed for their potential to contribute to net zero carbon emission. Pretreatment of biomass using dilute acids is the most common technique to destroy the complicated structure of lignocellulosic biomass. Mesophilic temperatures (37 °C), HRT of 72 h, and pH near 7.0, are recurrent parameters of biomass fermentation. The combined approach of electro-fermentation and dark fermentation produces a higher yield of biohydrogen compared to the single dark fermentation. Furthermore, additives (mainly iron-based materials) have been investigated to improve the efficiency of biomass pretreatment as well as biohydrogen production. Finally, this paper points out that the vigorous development of novel engineered strains is an important part of achieving commercial-scale production of biohydrogen. Overall, considerable efforts are needed from both technical and managing aspects to achieve a full-scale application of biohydrogen production to make this technology economical, efficient and sustainable. In traditional manufacturing enterprises, there are common problems of low added value of products, low profit, and poor business performance. As a result, they endeavor to transform themselves into intelligent manufacturing. To help with their transformation, this paper proposes a decision support model for managers to improve the business performance under different configurations of supply chain concentration and staff structure. Through the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis, the membership degree is given to the variables, and then the configuration analysis is carried out. We find that, to facilitate intelligent manufacturing, the concentration degree of supply chain or the structure of employee education should be adjusted according to the results from the qualitative comparative analysis of fuzzy sets. Two configuration paths to improve business performance are found. When the supply chain concentration degree is relatively decentralized, manufacturing enterprises should expand the proportion of sales personnel and production personnel. In other words, when the sales personnel and production personnel reach the saturation state, low concentration of suppliers and customers is more conducive to the improvement of business performance. Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a malignancy commonly seen in adults. Previous studies indicated that TRIM14 played a tumorigenic role in various types of cancer and miR-23b-5p was down-regulated in human mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (HMSC-exos) of AML patients. However, their roles in AML remains unclear. Our study aims to investigate the role of TRIM14 and miR-23b-5p in the pathogenesis of AML. Materials and methods: The blood specimen was collected from de novo AML patients and healthy donators. Exosomes were extracted from the culture medium of human mesenchymal stem cells under ultracentrifugation. Then exosomes were co-cultured with AML cells to determine the effect of their contents. The cell proliferation was detected by cell counting kit-8 assay, whereas the cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. The expression of miR-23b-5p and TRIM14 was silenced or overexpressed to explore their biological functions in AML. Luciferase reporter assay was conducted to validate the interaction between miR-23b-5p and TRIM14. Gene expression was determined by quantitative real-time PCR and immunoblots. Results: TRIM14 was significantly increased in AML patients and cell lines. The inhibition of TRIM14 significantly reduced the proliferation and induced the apoptosis of AML cells via activating PI3K/AKT pathway, whereas its overexpression exhibited reversed effects. HMSC-exos could suppress the proliferation of AML cells through the delivery of miR-23b-5p. Moreover, miR-23b-5p inhibited the transcription of TRIM14 by binding on its 3’UTR region. Overexpression of TRIM14 exhibited reversed effect against the function of miR-23b-5p mimic. Conclusion: TRIM14 could promote the proliferation of AML cells via activating PI3K/AKT pathway, which was reversed by HMSC-exos through delivering miR-23b-5p. In this article, a Co-existing Preamble and Data (CoPD) random access approach for machine-type communications (MTC) is proposed and studied in massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems. Unlike conventional grant-free random access in which preambles are time-multiplexed with data, the proposed approach enables CoPD transmissions by different groups of devices, which leverages favourable propagation of massive MIMO and successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique. To fully understand the performance behavior of the proposed approach, the error characteristics of channel estimation (CE) due to SIC error propagation are investigated. To avoid the CE error variance growing arbitrarily with time that leads to data transmission failure, key conditions, with respect to preamble length $L$ , traffic intensity $\lambda $ , and average number of data packets per active device $\bar b$ , are derived. Under the conditions, we demonstrate that the throughput of the proposed CoPD approach cannot be arbitrarily high by increasing $\bar b$ and $\lambda $ even though the antenna array size, denoted by $M$ , grows arbitrarily in massive MIMO. Accordingly, its maximum throughput and success probability are theoretically obtained. Simulation results verify our analysis results and confirm that the maximum throughput of the proposed CoPD approach can be at least 4 times than that of the conventional one. Background: Lung cancer is the major cause of mortality in tumor patients. While its incidence rate has recently declined, it is still far from satisfactory and its potential modifiable risk factors should be explored. Methods: We performed a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to investigate the causal relationship between potentially modifiable risk factors (namely smoking behavior, alcohol intake, anthropometric traits, blood pressure, lipidemic traits, glycemic traits, and fasting insulin) and lung cancer. Besides, a bi-directional MR analysis was carried out to disentangle the complex relationship between different risk factors. Inverse-variance weighted (IVW) was utilized to combine the estimation for each SNP. Cochrane's Q value was used to evaluate heterogeneity and two methods, including MR-Egger intercept and MR-PRESSO, were adopted to detect horizontal pleiotropy. Results: Three kinds of smoking behavior were all causally associated with lung cancer. Overall, smokers were more likely to suffer from lung cancer compared with non-smokers (OR = 2.58 [1.95, 3.40], p-value = 2.07 x 10−11), and quitting smoking could reduce the risk (OR = 4.29[2.60, 7.07], p-value = 1.23 x 10−8). Furthermore, we found a dose-response relationship between the number of cigarettes and lung cancer (OR = 6.10 [5.35, 6.96], p-value = 4.43x10-161). Lower HDL cholesterol could marginally increase the risk of lung cancer, but become insignificant after Bonferroni correction (OR = 0.82 [0.68, 1.00], p-value = 0.045). In addition, we noted no direct causal relationship between other risk factors and lung cancer. Neither heterogeneity nor pleiotropy was observed in this study. However, when treating the smoking behavior as the outcome, we found the increased BMI could elevate the number of cigarettes per day (beta = 0.139[0.104, 0.175], p-value = 1.99x10-14) and a similar effect was observed for the waist circumference and hip circumference. Additionally, the elevation of SBP could also marginally increase the number of cigarettes per day (beta = 0.001 [0.0002, 0.002], p-value = 0.018). Conclusion: Smoking behavior might be the most direct and effective modifiable way to reduce the risk of lung cancer. Materials and methods: The blood specimen was collected from de novo AML patients and healthy donators. Exosomes were extracted from the culture medium of human mesenchymal stem cells under ultracentrifugation. Then exosomes were co-cultured with AML cells to determine the effect of their contents. The cell proliferation was detected by cell counting kit-8 assay, whereas the cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. The expression of miR-23b-5p and TRIM14 was silenced or overexpressed to explore their biological functions in AML. Luciferase reporter assay was conducted to validate the interaction between miR-23b-5p and TRIM14. Gene expression was determined by quantitative real-time PCR and immunoblots. Results: TRIM14 was significantly increased in AML patients and cell lines. The inhibition of TRIM14 significantly reduced the proliferation and induced the apoptosis of AML cells via activating PI3K/AKT pathway, whereas its overexpression exhibited reversed effects. HMSC-exos could suppress the proliferation of AML cells through the delivery of miR-23b-5p. Moreover, miR-23b-5p inhibited the transcription of TRIM14 by binding on its 3'UTR region. Overexpression of TRIM14 exhibited reversed effect against the function of miR-23b-5p mimic. Conclusion: TRIM14 could promote the proliferation of AML cells via activating PI3K/AKT pathway, which was reversed by HMSC-exos through delivering miR-23b-5p. Objective. The present study intends to investigate the effects and underlying molecular mechanism of Qigu Capsule (QG) on fracture healing in mice with osteoporosis. Methods. Ten-week-old female C57BL/6 mice were ovariectomized and three weeks later were evaluated for successful modeling. Then, all mice were prepared into models of transverse fracture in the right middle femoral shaft. Mice were treated daily using a gavage with normal saline (the NS group), Qigu Capsule (the QG group), or alendronate (the ALN group) postoperatively. Fracture callus tissues were collected and analyzed by X-ray, micro-CT, western blot (WB), and transmission electron microscope (TEM) on postoperation Day 14 (POD14), POD28, and POD42. Results. (1) X-ray results showed that on POD14, the QG group had the fracture healing score significantly higher than the NS and ALN groups, and on POD28, it had the fracture healing score higher than the NS group, suggesting that QG could promote fracture healing. (2) Micro-CT results showed that on POD14, the QG group had tissue bone density (TMD) significantly higher than the NS and ALN groups, and on POD28 and POD42, it had bone volume fraction, trabecular number, and TMD significantly higher than the NS group. (3) WB results showed that, compared with the NS group, the QG group had significantly increased expression of nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP), runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), bone Gla protein (BGP) and collagen Iα1 (COLIα1) on POD14, significantly increased expression of NF-κB, HIF-1α, BALP and COLIα1 on POD28, and significantly increased expression of NF-κB, HIF-1α, and Runx2 on POD42. (4) TEM scanning results showed that, compared with the NS and ALN groups, the QG group had significantly increased numbers of autophagic vacuoles (AVs) in osteocytes on POD14, POD28, and POD42. Conclusion. QG could accelerate osteoporotic fracture healing by promoting bone formation and osteocyte autophagy, possibly through upregulating the NF-κB/HIF-1α signaling pathway. Objectives: To develop the novel self-reported spine functional scale (SSFS) and conduct reliability and validity analysis, so that the public can better understand their own spine function in a more simple and scientific way, so as to effectively prevent spinal disorders and improve the quality of life through targeted rehabilitation therapeutic measures. Methods: This study was approved by an institutional review board, and all subjects gave informed consent to participate. Results: (1) Using Spearman correlation analysis to evaluate the content validity, each item was significantly correlated with the total score, and the project design was reasonable. The exploratory factor analysis method is used to evaluate the structural validity of the scale, and the standing position and the lying position of the posture evaluation can be attributed to the factor 2, which is called posture evaluation: the cervical flexor strength, the flat support, the prone back, and the supine knee. The back arch of the wall and the angel on the wall is attributed to factor 1, called the overall spine function test, and the cumulative contribution rate of the two factors was 46.057%. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the two-factor model fits well (χ2/df = 2.440, RMSEA = 0.04 < 0.05, GFI = 0.945, AGFI = 0.920, CFI = 0.967, IFI = 0.967, TLI = 0.951, GFI, AGFI, CFI, IFI, and TLI are > 0.90) and the validity is ideal. (2) The test-retest reliability shows that the test-retest reliability of each entry, each dimension, and the total score is greater than 0.5, and the test-retest reliability is high. The Cronbach α coefficient was used to evaluate the overall internal consistency of the scale, α > 0.70, indicating that the scale has high reliability. After deleting each item one by one, the α coefficient is 0.692–0.717, and there is no significant increase. (3) Sex and occupation did not affect the level of spinal function (P > 0.05), and there was interaction. Different BMI levels significantly affected the score of spinal function (P < 0.05). The rate of spinal dysfunction in overweight and obese subjects was significantly higher than the normal group; the overall score of spinal function was worse than the normal group. Discussion: The reliability and validity analyses of this study verified the reliability and scientificity of SSFS in the young healthy population. Body weight had a significant influence on SSFS score, and the performance levels were different for the two sexes. Conclusion: The novel Self-Reported Spine Functional Scale (SSFS) has high reliability and validity and is applicable to the self-assessment and maintenance of spinal health and the prevention of related spinal disorders in the young healthy population. Body weight has a significant influence on the SSFS score in healthy young people. Overweight and obese males were found to be more likely to have spinal dysfunction, while underweight males displayed poor cervical flexor muscle strength. The need for high-performance capacitors that possess superb discharged energy density and efficiency is continually increasing. Relaxor ferroelectric 0.94(0.65Na 0 · 5 Bi 0 · 5 TiO 3 -0.35Sr 0 · 7 Bi 0 · 2 TiO 3)-0.06K 0 · 5 Na 0 · 5 NbO 3 ((NBT-SBT)-KNN) ceramics with different MnO 2 -doping concentrations are prepared in this study. An outstanding discharged energy density (W rec = 3.25 J/cm3) and efficiency (η = 93.8%) are concurrently acquired under 280 kV/cm for these doped ceramics. The ceramics also exhibit extraordinary thermal (30–200 °C), frequency-dependent (1–200 Hz) and fatigue stability (104 st). Additionally, the (NBT-SBT)-KNN-0.08 mol.% MnO 2 ceramic displays a large power density (42 MW/cm3) and an ultrafast discharge speed (98 ns). We describe the echocardiographic features of a 22-year-old female with a giant aneurysm of membranous ventricular septum (AMVS). Both transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) demonstrated significant dilatation of the aortic annulus and severe aortic regurgitation. A giant aneurysm was detected extending from a large membranous ventricular septal defect (MVSD) to the anterior surface of the aortic root. Contrast-enhanced CT and three-dimensional CT revealed a giant aneurysm located below the aortic root and connected to the left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT). Preamble collision is a bottleneck that impairs the performance of random access (RA) user equipment (UE) in grant-free RA (GFRA). In this paper, by leveraging distributed massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) together with machine learning, a novel machine learning based framework solution is proposed to address the preamble collision problem in GFRA. The key idea is to identify and employ the neighboring access points (APs) of a collided RA UE for its data decoding rather than all the APs, so that the mutual interference among collided RA UEs can be effectively mitigated. To this end, we first design a tailored deep neural network (DNN) to enable the preamble multiplicity estimation in GFRA, where an energy detection (ED) method is also proposed for performance comparison. With the estimated preamble multiplicity, we then propose a K-means AP clustering algorithm to cluster the neighboring APs of collided RA UEs and organize each AP cluster to decode the received data individually. Simulation results show that a decent performance of preamble multiplicity estimation in terms of accuracy and reliability can be achieved by the proposed DNN, and confirm that the proposed schemes are effective in preamble collision resolution in GFRA, which are able to achieve a near-optimal performance in terms of uplink achievable rate per collided RA UE, and offer significant performance improvement over traditional schemes. A central issue of many statistical learning problems is to select an appropriate model from a set of candidate models. Large models tend to inflate the variance (or overfitting), while small models tend to cause biases (or underfitting) for a given fixed dataset. In this work, we address the critical challenge of model selection to strike a balance between model fitting and model complexity, thus gaining reliable predictive power. We consider the task of approaching the theoretical limit of statistical learning, meaning that the selected model has the predictive performance that is as good as the best possible model given a class of potentially misspecified candidate models. We propose a generalized notion of Takeuchi’s information criterion and prove that the proposed method can asymptotically achieve the optimal out-sample prediction loss under reasonable assumptions. It is the first proof of the asymptotic property of Takeuchi’s information criterion to our best knowledge. Our proof applies to a wide variety of nonlinear models, loss functions, and high dimensionality (in the sense that the models’ complexity can grow with sample size). The proposed method can be used as a computationally efficient surrogate for leave-one-out cross-validation. Moreover, for modeling streaming data, we propose an online algorithm that sequentially expands the model complexity to enhance selection stability and reduce computation cost. In this paper, a single-degree-of-freedom vibroimpact system with multilevel elastic constraints is taken as the research object. By constructing the Poincaré map of the system and calculating the Lyapunov exponent spectrum of the system, the stability of the system is determined. Using the multiparameter collaborative numerical simulation method, the parameter domains of various periodic motions are determined, and the diversity and transition characteristics of periodic motions are revealed. At the same time, combined with the cell mapping method, the coexistence of attractors induced due to grazing bifurcation, saddle-node bifurcation, and boundary crisis is studied. Constructing an efficient photocatalyst is critical for photocatalytic carbon dioxide (CO 2) into valuable fuel. Herein, a high-efficiency catalyst was synthesized by a simple one-step electrostatic self-assembly method, in which Ti 3 C 2 (TC) was anchored on porous g-C 3 N 4 (PCN) with rich –NH x via NH x -Ti bond. Such a chemical interaction made the optimized TC/PCN-2 with 2 wt% loading of Ti 3 C 2 possess highest CH 4 production (0.99 μmol·h−1·g−1 catalyst) under visible light (>420 nm), which was 14 times higher than that of pure PCN (0.07 µmol·h−1·g catalyst −1) at the same condition. More importantly, the TC/PCN-2 photocatalyst still maintained satisfied activity after four cycles. Besides the formation of NH x -Ti chemical bonding and superior conductivity of Ti 3 C 2 as a co-catalyst, which facilitated interfacial charges separation and migration, the exceptional performance could also attribute to the enhanced CO 2 adsorption/activation and improved light-harvesting capability. Stimulated Raman-scattering-based lasers provide an effective way to achieve wavelength conversion. However, thermally induced beam degradation is a notorious obstacle to power scaling and it also limits the applicable range where high output beam quality is needed. Considerable research efforts have been devoted to developing Raman materials, with diamond being a promising candidate to acquire wavelength-versatile, high-power, and high-quality output beam owing to its excellent thermal properties, high Raman gain coefficient, and wide transmission range. The diamond Raman resonator is usually designed as an external-cavity pumped structure, which can easily eliminate the negative thermal effects of intracavity laser crystals. Diamond Raman converters also provide an approach to improve the beam quality owing to the Raman cleanup effect. This review outlines the research status of diamond Raman lasers, including beam quality optimization, Raman conversion, thermal effects, and prospects for future development directions. Heterotrimeric G-proteins are key elements of signal transduction pathways, which participate in regulating multiple biological processes in fungi including growth, conidiation, antagonism, and mycoparasitism. Among G protein subunits, Gα3 showed diverse regulatory functions in different fungi. In this study, we cloned a Gα3 subunit coding gene thga3 from T. harzianum Th33 that can antagonize Rhizoctonia solani and some other plant pathogenic fungi. A thga3 deletion strain Δthga3 was generated using the double-crossover homologous recombination strategy, and Rthga3 was generated by transforming thga3-expressing vector into the protoplasts of Δthga3 by the PEG/CaCl2-mediated method. The biological characteristics of wild-type Th33, Δthga3 and Rthga3 were evaluated. Compared with wild-type Th33, Δthga3 showed 15%, 94%, and 23% decrease in hyphal growth, conidia yield, and chitinase activity, respectively, and Δthga3 showed lower antagonistic and mycoparasitism abilities, while there were no significant differences between wild-type Th33 and Rthga3. The hyphal surface hydrophobicity of Δthga3 significantly decreased compared with those of the wild-type Th33 and Rthga3. qRT-PCR analysis revealed that transcript abundance of the hydrophobin gene (tha_09745) of Δthga3 decreased by 80% compared with that of wild-type Th33 and Rthga3. The results showed that thga3 positively regulates the growth, conidiation, hydrophobicity, chitinase activities, and mycoparasitism of Th33 towards R. solani. We hence deduced that the expression level of Tha_09745 is correlated to the hyphal hydrophobicity of Th33 and therefore affects the other biological characteristics of Th33. Background: Time-efficient and accurate whole volume thigh muscle segmentation is a major challenge in moving from qualitative assessment of thigh muscle MRI to more quantitative methods. This study developed an automated whole thigh muscle segmentation method using deep learning for reproducible fat fraction quantification on fat–water decomposition MRI. Results: This study was performed using a public reference database (Dataset 1, 25 scans) and a local clinical dataset (Dataset 2, 21 scans). A U-net was trained using 23 scans (16 from Dataset 1, seven from Dataset 2) to automatically segment four functional muscle groups: quadriceps femoris, sartorius, gracilis and hamstring. The segmentation accuracy was evaluated on an independent testing set (3 × 3 repeated scans in Dataset 1 and four scans in Dataset 2). The average Dice coefficients between manual and automated segmentation were > 0.85. The average percent difference (absolute) in volume was 7.57%, and the average difference (absolute) in mean fat fraction (meanFF) was 0.17%. The reproducibility in meanFF was calculated using intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) for the repeated scans, and automated segmentation produced overall higher ICCs than manual segmentation (0.921 vs. 0.902). A preliminary quantitative analysis was performed using two-sample t test to detect possible differences in meanFF between 14 normal and 14 abnormal (with fat infiltration) thighs in Dataset 2 using automated segmentation, and significantly higher meanFF was detected in abnormal thighs. Conclusions: This automated thigh muscle segmentation exhibits excellent accuracy and higher reproducibility in fat fraction estimation compared to manual segmentation, which can be further used for quantifying fat infiltration in thigh muscles. Massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) based grant-free random access (RA) (mGFRA) has been studied for massive machine-type communication (mMTC). In the existing works of mGFRA, it is implicitly assumed that each RA user equipment (UE) in mMTC has the same data-packet size. However, this may not be the case in practice as RA UEs in different applications can have different numbers of bits to send, which may result in data packets of different sizes. In addition to that, preamble collision is a key issue that degrades the performance of mGFRA when orthogonal preamble is used. In this article, we aim to address the preamble collision issue under a practical mGFRA scenario that consists of two different types of RA UEs (with short and large data packets). Specifically, by exploiting different sizes of data packets, we propose a triangular non-orthogonal RA (T-NORA) scheme, where the preamble transmission of RA UEs with small-sized data packet is embedded into the data transmission of RA UEs with large-sized data packet so that the preamble collision between two different types of RA UEs can be avoided. As a result, an improved performance over conventional mGFRA can be achieved by T-NORA with the assistance of mMIMO. This article presents an accurate, reliability-aware statistical Berkeley short-channel IGFET Model 4 (BSIM4) compact model parameter generation methodology using the generalized lambda distribution (GLD) method. Using this methodology, compact model parameter sets can be generated “on the fly” beyond the limitation of the number of compact models extracted from the TCAD simulation. The generated unlimited parameter sets enable circuit designer for the statistical circuit simulation. An analytical model has been developed to interpolate TCAD simulation data points, which enables statistical compact model parameter sets to be generated at any aging level. The capability to generate such intermediate aging model parameters at trap densities that were not physically simulated has important application in statistical circuit simulation, opening up the possibility to include accurately reliability assessment in circuit design. An aging model that can transfer trap density to stress/aging time is an integral part of the presented methodology. The accuracy of the compact model parameter generation methodology is validated by comparing the new generated compact model parameter sets at an interpolated trap density, against physical “atomistic” 3-D TCAD simulation. The compact model parameter generation methodology enables the accurate investigation of the influence of statistical variability and bias temperature instability (BTI)-induced aging at circuit level. Metallic materials with a gradient microstructure usually exhibit excellent mechanical properties. However, the radiation response of gradient structural materials is less well understood. Here, room-temperature He ion irradiation up to ~4.5 dpa with ~10 at% He injection was performed on a gradient T91 steel processed by surface severe plastic deformation. In comparison to the coarse-grained ferritic T91, the gradient T91 with the nanocrystalline layers shows improved radiation tolerance in terms of less bubble swelling and radiation hardening. Additionally, bubble distribution along grain boundaries depends on misorientation angle suggesting a strong capacity of non-equilibrium grain boundaries in storing He atoms.
