Lenders in Prosper, one of the largest lending markets in the U.S., reduce their activity when playing multistate Powerball or Mega Millions lottery jackpot becomes attractive. This finding suggests that the desire for sensation seeking is an underlying motivation for participating in peer-to-peer crowdfunding markets; the thrill of winning a large lottery jackpot fulfills some lenders' desire for novelty and sensation seeking, thus decreasing their lending activity. We discuss our findings' implications for lenders, borrowers, platform organizers, and policymakers.

Bu çalışma; çocuk edebiyatı yazarlarından Mavisel Yener'in öykü ve romanlarının çok kültürlülük bağlamında incelenmesini içermektedir. Çalışma kapsamında yazarın farklı yayınevlerinden çıkan öykü ve roman türündeki 28 kitabı nitel araştırma yöntemlerine bağlı kalarak içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir.Çalışma kapsamında öncelikle çok kültürlülük, çok kültürlü eğitim, çocuk edebiyatı, çok kültürlü çocuk edebiyatı konu başlıklarında kuramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Ardından Mavisel Yener hakkında kısa bir öz geçmiş verilerek alan yazında çalışma konusuyla ilgili daha önce yapılan bilimsel araştırmalar ve yayınlar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.Çalışmada Mavisel Yener'in öykü ve romanları çok kültürlülük bağlamında beş ayrı üst tema ışığında değerlendirilmiştir. Bu üst temalar; 'Etnik Unsurlar' (ırk/yabancı, dil, din, cinsiyet, ortak insanlık ülküsü alt temalarına ayrıldı.), 'Dezavantajlı Gruplar' (engelli olma, kadın olma, çocuk olma, yaşlı olma, düşük sosyal statülü olma, bireysel farklılıklar, fiziksel farklılıklar alt temalarına ayrıldı.), 'Kültürel Değerler' (yemek kültürü, tarihi ve kültürel değerler, baskın evrensel kültür alt temalarına ayrıldı.) 'Diğer Varlıklara Saygı'(doğa sevgisi ve hayvan sevgisi alt temalarına ayrıldı.) ve 'İletişim' (çocuk-yetişkin iletişimi alt temasında değerlendirildi.) olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada incelenen kitaplar ikişer defa okunarak söz konusu temalara ait iletiler kodlanmıştır. Tespit edilen iletilerin güvenirlik ve geçerliliğinin sağlanması amacıyla Miles ve Huberman modelinde içsel tutarlılık olarak bilinen kodlayıcılar arası görüş birliği formülü uygulanarak iki farklı kodlayıcı ile araştırmacının kodları arasında benzerlik oranı hesaplanmış ve güvenirlilik oranı sağlanmıştır.Elde edilen bulgular ışığında Mavisel Yener'in öykü ve romanlarının çok kültürlülük öğelerini içerdiği, yazarın kitaplarında yer alan iletilerin çocuğun dünyasında farklılıklara yönelik olumlu düşünceler uyandıracak şekilde yapılandırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Üst temalar ışığında; yazarın etnik unsurlara yönelik kullanımlarında genel olarak farklı ırk, dil, din, cinsiyet öğelerine yönelik olumlu iletileri tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte yazarın, toplumdaki dezavantajlı gruplara yönelik yaşanan sıkıntılara kitaplarında yer verdiği; tarihi ve kültürel değerlerin aşınması tehlikesi karşısında çocukları uyardığı, kitaplarında insan dışındaki diğer canlılara saygı duyacak kullanımlarda bulunduğu; ayrıca hem ailelere hem eğitimcilere çocuk ile iletişimde doğru ve yanlış uygulamaları gösterdiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca incelenen kitaplar yazarın resmi internet sitesindeki sınıflandırmaya sadık kalınarak hedef kitle olarak yaş gruplarına ayrılmış; çok kültürlülük öğelerine yönelik iletilerin 9-11 yaş grubuna yönelik daha az olduğu, 11-13 yaş grubu ve 13 yaş üzeri gruba yönelik kitaplarında ise daha fazla olduğu belirlenmiş ve böylece ileti sayısının kademeli olarak arttığı saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak Türkçe eğitiminde farklılıklara saygı ve çok kültürlü ortamda birlikte yaşama arzusunu güçlendirme amacıyla ders kitabı metinlerinin ve çocuklara tavsiye edilebilecek kitapların seçiminde Mavisel Yener'in öykü ve romanlarının bu amaçlara yönelik uygun birer eğitim-öğretim materyali olabileceği bulgulanmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Türkçe eğitimi, çocuk edebiyatı, çok kültürlülük, çok kültürlü eğitim, çok kültürlü çocuk edebiyatı. This study includes the analysis on stories and novels of Mavisel Yener, a children's literature author, on a multicultural basis. In the context of this study 28 stories and novels of the author's books which are published by various publishers have been analysed by using content analysis adhering to qualitative research methods.At first, a theoretical framework has been formed on the subject headings of multiculturalism, multicultural education, children's literature and multicultural children's literature on the scope of this study. Then, after giving a short biography about Mavisel Yener, information is stated about the previous scientific researches and publications on study context of field literature.In this study, the stories and the novels of Mavisel Yener are evaluated in five various upper themes on the basis of multiculturalism. These upper themes are defined as `Ethnical Elements` (later separated into subthemes of race/foreign language, religion, gender, common humanity ideals.), `Disadvantageous Groups` (later separated into subthemes of being disabled, woman, child, adult, with a low status, individual differences, physical differences.), `Cultural Values` (later separated into subthemes of cuisine culture, historical and cultural values, dominating universal culture.), `Respect to Other Creatures` (later separated into subthemes of love of nature and animal) and `Communication` (later evaluated within the communication between child-adult.)The books analyzed within this study have been read twice and then messages of the themes in question are coded. In order to ensure the reliability and validity of the detected messages, the similarity rate of the codes between two different encoders' and the researchers has been calculated and reliability rate has been ensured by applying the formula of common consensus of encoders known as intrinsic consistency in Miles and Huberman model.In the light of the findings acquired, it has been detected that the stories and novels of Mavisel Yener include multicultural elements, and the messages found in the author's books are structured in such a way that they can stimulate positive thoughts about the differences in the world of the child. In the light of top themes, it has been found that there are generally positive messages on different race, language, religion and gender in the author's usage of ethnic elements. It has also been detected in her books that the author mentions the difficulties that disadvantaged groups experience; that she warns children about the risk of erosion of historical and cultural values, uses statements that respect everything besides human; also it is seen that she points the right and wrong attitudes while communicating with a child both to the parents and educators. Moreover, it is detected that the books analyzed have been devoted to age groups as the target group by adhering to the author's official website; the number of the messages on multiculturalism are less for the age group of 9-11, are more in the books for the age group of 11-13 and over 13 and thus the number of the messages gradually increase.As a result, it has been detected that the texts in the stories and novels of Mavisel Yener's books can be suitable education-teaching materials for these purposes in the selection of the texts and books that can be recommended to the children to reinforce respect to differences in Turkish education and desire of living together in a multicultural environment.Key Words: Turkish education, children's literature, multiculturalism, multicultural education, multicultural children's literature. 166

Kavram olarak öteki; insanın doğası gereği bir başka insana ihtiyaç duyması, insanın sosyal bir varlık olması gereği, yaradılışı icabı ortaya çıkmaktadır. İnsanlık tarihi boyunca başta Antik Yunan Filozofları olmak üzere öteki kavramına sayısız düşünür yaklaşım getirmektedir. Öteki kavramı felsefe, din, sosyoloji, psikoloji, antropoloji başta olmak üzere sosyal bilimlere konu olmaktadır. Araştırma boyutu bir yana dursun; öteki kavramı ötekileştirme boyutuna geçtiği an itibariyle; tavır ve anlam değiştirerek insana yakışmayan bir pencereyle ırkçılık boyutuna varabilmektedir. 20. Yüzyıla kadar bu anlam değişikliği toplumların siyasi yapıların bir parçası olarak kalmaktadır. Bu ayrımın olumsuzluğuna değinen belki de en önemli kişi Levinas olmaktadır. Irkçılık bir yana dursun; öteki kavramı, cinsel ayrımcılığa da gidebilen bir başlık olmaktadır. Yine 20. Yüzyıla kadar ayrımcılığın koyu şekliyle cinsel ayrımcılık; toplumlarda gözlenebilmektedir. Öteki kavramına değinen yerli yazarlardan biri de 20.yüzyılda farklılığıyla öne çıkan Sevim Burak olmaktadır. Sevim Burak yazın hayatına getirdiği yeni bakış açısı, imgelem gücünü ortaya koyması, anlamın yetmediği noktalarda gerek bilinç akışı tekniğiyle gerek anlamı güçlendirmek için kullandığı fotoğraf ve sembollerle dikkat çeken bir yazar olmaktadır. Sevim Burak yazdığı 3 oyun metniyle öteki kavramını bir başka boyuta taşımaktadır. Sahibinin Sesi isimli eser; bir kalp gibi ötekileştirmeyi konu edinmektedir. Söz konusu eserde Bilal Bağana isimli karakter evlilik dışı ilişki yaşadığı Zembul Allahanati başta olmak üzere bütün mahalleyi ötekileştirmektedir. Yazarın bir diğer ötekileştirmeye konu olabilecek eseri Everest My Lord olmaktadır. Everest My Lord birincil olarak amacı anlama yenilik getirmek olmasına rağmen; eserin geçtiği mekânın demokrasi kürsüsü bulunan Hyde Park olması durumuyla ötekileştirme karşısında tavır alan bir eser olmaktadır. Yazarın yazdığı bir diğer oyun metni İşte Baş, İşte Gövde, İşte Kanatlar olmaktadır. Söz konusu eser İstanbul'da Kuzguncuk semtinde geçmektedir. Burada 1940'lı yıllarda olduğu tahmin edilebilecek, iki mahalleli kadının hikayesi anlatılmaktadır. Bu eserde geçtiği semt itibariyle ötekileştirme karşıtı; kozmopolit bir yapıyı savunan bir pozisyondadır. Yazarın 3 eseri içinde tavrının, duruşunun ötekileştirme karşıtı olduğu söylenilebilir. During history, the humankind, starting with the antique Hellenistic philosophers and countless other philosophers attribute a meaning to the conception of others. Social sciences like philosophy, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and religions become subject to the concept of others. Researching or seeking the concept of others can sometimes show as a marginalization of some parties and groups and changes its attitudes and real meaning. It evolves into discrimination of others and it is not a normal behavior. Misjudging the concept of others has remained the part of the political societies until the 20th century. Alienation of others causes problems with a society; one of the most important people took attention to this negativity that was Levinas. Racial discrimination is not just the only problem in the meantime extreme sexual discrimination has observed by the end of the 20th century. One of Turkey's native writer Sevim Burak studied conception of other in the 20th century. He brings a new perspective to his literature life, how he presents his imagination power, when the words are not enough to convey the meaning he supports this with stream-of-consciousness technique also he uses visual aids to strengthen the meaning such as photograph and symbols which makes him worth mentioning. Sevim Burak's three playbook conveys the contents of other's concept to a different point of view. One of his works `voice of owner` mentions about alienated just like a heart. The topic of this work character named Bilal Bağana is having an affair with Zembul Allahanati being in the first place he alienates her plus whole his neighborhood. Another work of his Everest My Lord's subject is the alienation of others. Although this work's prior target is to bring a new perception on the meaning, the place in the text `Hyde Park` represents `desk of democracy` in this aspect opposing the system of otherization. Sevim Burak's another playbook named, `Here it is the head, the trunk and the wings`. The playbook content takes place in Istanbul's Kuzguncuk district. This work mentions about neighborhood residents of two women's story, it indicates us narrative taking place in the years of 1940s. The story's place district of Kuzguncuk known as it the cosmopolitan structure and it objects to otherization of people. Pacemaker implantation in patients with tricuspid prosthesis is a challenging situation. It is not possible to pass the pacing lead through tricuspid valve in these patients. Therefore, ventricular pacing can be achieved either epicardial or endocardial left vent- ricular stimulation. For epicardial pacing, lead implantation can be done transvenously via coronary sinus or surgically. In this paper, we present a patient who had complete atrioventricular block (CAVB) following tricuspid valve prosthesis implantation and treated with epicardial pacing via coronary sinus. In pati- ents who develop CAVB after tricuspid valve replacement, can be treated with permanent pacemaker implantation via CS. This technique enables a minimally invasive approach and effective stimulus in patients with inaccessible right ventricle because of the presence of prosthetic tricuspid valve. Triküspid protezi olan hastalarında pacemaker implantasyonu zor bir durumdur. Bu hastalarda, pacemaker elektrodunu triküspit kapaktan geçirmek olası değildir. Bu nedenle, ventriküler uyarı, ancak epikardiyal veya endokardiyal sol ventriküler stimülasyon ile elde edilebilir. Epikardiyal uyarı için, elektrodun implantas- yonu, tranasvenöz yol ile koroner sinüse veya cerrahi yöntemle yapılabilir. Bu makalede, triküspid kapak replasmanı sonrasın- da gelişen tam kalp bloğunun, koroner sinüs yoluyla epikardiyal stimülasyon elde edilerek tedavi edildiği bir hastayı sunuyoruz. Triküspid kapak replasmanı sonrası tam kalp bloğu gelişen hasta- lar koroner sinüs yolu ile implante edilen kalıcı kalp pili ile tedavi edilebilirler. Bu teknik, hem minimal invaziv bir yaklaşım hem de protez triküspid kapak nedeniyle sağ ventriküllerine erişilemeyen hastalarda etkili bir uyarı sağlar.
