A detection system based on digital image processing and machine learning classification was developed to detect normal and cancerous lung conditions. 340 data from LIDC –IDRI were processed through several stages. The first stage is pre-processing using three filter variations and contrast stretching, which reduce noise and increase image contrast. The image segmentation process uses Otsu Thresholding to clarify the ROI of the image. The texture feature extraction with GLCM was applied using 21 feature variations. Data extraction is used as a label value learned by the classification system in the form of SVM. The results of the training data classification are processed with a confusion matrix which shows that the high pass filter has higher accuracy than the other two variations. The proposed method was assessed in terms of accuracy, precision and recall. The model provided an accuracy of 99.67 % training data and 97.50 % testing data.

This study aims to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of class XI IPA 5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi for the 2021-2022 academic year in the matter of reaction rate factors. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles in which each cycle is composed of planning, action, observation and reflection activities. The scope of the material in the first cycle is the reaction rate factor for surface area and concentration, while for the second cycle, the reaction rate factor is for temperature and catalyst. The subjects of this study were 34 students of XI IPA 5 at SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi in the 2021-2022 academic year. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings where at the end of the cycle a formative test of 20 multiple choice types is given. The indicator of the success of this study is if 75% of students have learning outcomes above the KKM, namely 72. The results of the study indicate a positive increase in chemistry learning outcomes in the matter of reaction rate factors. There was an increase in the average learning outcomes from cycle I of 70.15 to 76.62 in cycle II as well as for classical completeness which reached 50% in cycle I then increased to 79% in cycle II with an increase of 29%. From the results of the study it was concluded that the application of the investigative group learning model with the practicum method in learning material reaction rate factors can improve chemistry learning outcomes for XI IPA 5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi in the 2021-2022 academic year ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI IPA 5 di SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2021-2022 pada materi faktor-faktor laju reaksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus yang mana setiap siklus tersusun dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Cakupan materi pada siklus I yaitu faktor laju reaksi untuk luas permukaan dan konsentrasi, sedangkan untuk siklus II yaitu faktor laju reaksi untuk suhu dan katalis. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa XI IPA 5 di SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi tahun paelajaran 2021-2022 yang berjumlah 34 orang. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan dimana di akhir siklus diberikan tes formatif berjenis pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir. Indikator keberhasilan dari penelitian ini yaitu jika 75% siswa memiliki hasil belajar di atas KKM yaitu 72. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan positif terhadap hasil belajar kimia pada materi faktor-faktor laju reaksi. Terjadi peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar dari siklus I sebesar 70, 15 menjadi 76,62 pada siklus II begitu juga untuk ketuntasan klasikal dimana mencapai 50% pada siklus I kemudian meningkat menjadi 79% pada siklus II dengan kenaikan sebesar 29%. Dari hasil penelitain disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran group investigasi dengan metode praktikum pada pembelajaran materi faktor-faktor laju reaksi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa XI IPA 5 di SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi tahun pelajarn 2021-2022

Bilingual education has become very popular among Indonesian children nowadays. Other than learning it from school, they are also exposed to the second language in their homes. Although some misconceptions persist in society, some parents continue to do so because they believe that bilingualism benefits their children's development, whether in the language or cognitive areas. This paper focuses on the common misconceptions spreading among parents. This research was specifically done based on literature review. Here, the five common myths about bilingualism on early childhood were answered based on scientific explanations given by experts. The finding indicates that being bilingual helps children have strong language development and executive functioning at the same time. Results are interpreted in the context of relevant research and explained based on the theories of some experts.

Background: The Indonesian maternal and neonatal mortality rates remain some of the highest in Southeast Asia. Aims: This study aims to assess and compare district-level innovations that address maternal and neonatal mortality. Methods: This was a qualitative study conducted via four focus group discussions in eight selected districts in November 2021. Data obtained were analyzed using the WHO health system building blocks framework. Results: The study found high variation in districts’ innovations ranging from expansion of service for maternity waiting homes to periodical obstetrician visits at Puskesmas. A majority of districts use a local approach as the basis for innovation. Some innovations are modifications of the national program or initiated purely by District Health Offices, Puskesmas, and the community. Many interventions are based on multisectoral commitment, community participation, and targeting to strengthen health service delivery. Leadership and health financing also have an influence on the implementation of these innovations. Conclusion: The multitude of innovations reflects a high variation in barriers to reducing maternal and neonatal mortality that need to be addressed at the district level. A routine forum to share districts’ best practices is warranted. Additionally, family-based surveillance for neonatal danger signs, monitoring for pregnant women and neonates via WhatsApp, and zoning systems for referrals to healthcare facilities in larger districts are innovations identified in this study that have potential to be replicated in other districts or expanded nationally.

Analysing trends and levels of the burden of disease at the national level can mask inequalities in health-related progress in lower administrative units such as provinces and districts. We used results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019 to analyse health patterns in Indonesia at the provincial level between 1990 and 2019. Long-term analyses of disease burden provide insights on Indonesia's advance to universal health coverage and its ability to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.We analysed GBD 2019 estimated cause-specific mortality, years of life lost (YLLs), years lived with disability (YLDs), disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs), life expectancy at birth, healthy life expectancy, and risk factors for 286 causes of death, 369 causes of non-fatal health loss, and 87 risk factors by year, age, and sex for Indonesia and its 34 provinces from 1990 to 2019. To generate estimates for Indonesia at the national level, we used 138 location-years of data to estimate Indonesia-specific demographic indicators, 317 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific causes of death, 689 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific non-fatal outcomes, 250 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific risk factors, and 1641 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific covariates. For subnational estimates, we used the following source counts: 138 location-years of data to estimate Indonesia-specific demographic indicators; 5848 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific causes of death; 1534 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific non-fatal outcomes; 650 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific risk factors; and 16 016 location-years of data for Indonesia-specific covariates. We generated our GBD 2019 estimates for Indonesia by including 1 915 207 total source metadata rows, and we used 821 total citations.Life expectancy for males across Indonesia increased from 62·5 years (95% uncertainty interval 61·3-63·7) to 69·4 years (67·2-71·6) between 1990 and 2019, a positive change of 6·9 years. For females during the same period, life expectancy increased from 65·7 years (64·5-66·8) to 73·5 years (71·6-75·6), an increase of 7·8 years. There were large disparities in health outcomes among provinces. In 2019, Bali had the highest life expectancy at birth for males (74·4 years, 70·90-77·9) and North Kalimantan had the highest life expectancy at birth for females (77·7 years, 74·7-81·2), whereas Papua had the lowest life expectancy at birth for males (64·5 years, 60·9-68·2) and North Maluku had the lowest life expectancy at birth for females (64·0 years, 60·7-67·3). The difference in life expectancy for males between the highest-ranked and lowest-ranked provinces was 9·9 years and the difference in life expectacy for females between the highest-ranked and lowest-ranked provinces was 13·7 years. Age-standardised death, YLL, and YLD rates also varied widely among the provinces in 2019. High systolic blood pressure, tobacco, dietary risks, high fasting plasma glucose, and high BMI were the five leading risks contributing to health loss measured as DALYs in 2019.Our findings highlight that Indonesia faces a double burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases that varies across provinces. From 1990 to 2019, Indonesia witnessed a decline in the infectious disease burden, although communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, diarrhoeal diseases, and lower respiratory infections have remained a main source of DALYs in Indonesia. During that same period, however, all-ages death and disability rates from non-communicable diseases and exposure to their risk factors accounted for larger shares of health loss. The differences in health outcomes between the highest-performing and lowest-performing provinces have also widened since 1990. Our findings support a comprehensive process to revisit current health policies, examine the root causes of variation in the burden of disease among provinces, and strengthen programmes and policies aimed at reducing disparities across the country.The BillMelinda Gates Foundation and the Government of Indonesia.For the Bahasa Indonesia translation of the abstract see Supplementary Materials section.

This study aims to determine the appropriate concentration of lead fish meal for enriching the nutritional value of sago noodles favored by consumers. The method used is an experimental design using Completely Randomized (CRD) with 4 concentration levels of lead fish meal, namely, 4% without a lead fish meal (M0), 6% (M1), 8% (M2), and 10% (M3). The analysis of sago noodles was performed and proximate by the AOAC method; amino acids by HPLC; fatty acids by GC; and minerals by HPLC. The results of the showed that the study getting the best treatment was a concentration of 8% (M2) with the characteristics of whole sago noodles’ appearance: attractive, grayish-white color; a distinctive aroma of sago noodles with a hint of fish; a specific taste typical of sago noodles and fish prickly taste; delicious; slightly chewy texture. Sensory evaluation with a taste value of 8.9, an aroma of 8.6, a visual value of 8.9, and a texture value of 8.8. Its nutritional content is 5.58% protein content, air 22.35%, ash 1.69%, fat 1.41%, and carbohydrates 68.29%. The proximate values are protein 5.58%, water content 22.35%, ash 1.69%, fat content 1.41%, and carbohydrates (different) 68.29%. The mineral content is Ca.P.I, Mg, Zn, and Fe. Amino acids consist of 8 types of essential amino acids, namely, histidine, arginine, threonine, valine, alanine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, and 7 types of nonessential amino acids, namely, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, serine, glycine, tyrosine. Its fatty acid profile has 13 components of unsaturated fatty acids and 17 components of saturated fatty acids.

Introduction: Diarrhea is a significant public health problem because it is the third major contributor to child morbidity and mortality in various countries, including Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the density of flies in the geographic area, the knowledge of the mothers, their defecation behavior, and the presence of diarrhea in children in Jambi City, Indonesia Materials and Methods: This type of research is a quantitative study with a case-control approach involving 76 children under five, namely 38 cases and 38 control groups. The research data were analyzed using the Odds Ratio test. Results: Mothers who have less knowledge are 12 times more likely to have a toddler suffering from diarrhea than mothers who have good knowledge. Mothers with poor behavior in dealing with toddlers' defecation habits will have a 5 times greater risk of having a toddler with diarrhea problems; on the other hand, if mothers behave well in dealing with children's defecation problems, then the toddler will not be at risk of having diarrhea. The density of flies does not provide a significant risk for the incidence of diarrhea in infants. Introduction. Klanceng honey (Tetragonula laeviceps) is in great demand because of its benefits. There is no information on the expiration date of the Klanceng honey. Objective. To predict the shelf life of Klanceng honey by evaluating the effect of heating (40 ºC / 48 h and 70 ºC / 7 h) and storage for two years. Materials and methods. The analysis was carried out three times (2020, 2021, and 2022) at the National Innovation Research Agency Laboratory, Jakarta, Indonesia. Samples of Klanceng honey (Tetragonula laeviceps) were taken from a bee farm in Magetan, East Java, Indonesia. The sample (5 kg) was divided into 3: without heating process (UT), heating at 40 ºC / 48 h (T1), and heating at 70 ºC / 7 h (T2). Then analyzed the activity of HMF, diastase, invertase, acid phosphatase (AP), glucose oxidase (GO), DPPH, honey color, and phenolic at 0, 12 and 24-months. Results. The results showed that short heating at high temperature (70 ºC / 7 h) had a greater impact on decreasing enzyme activity compared to prolonged heating at low temperature (40 ºC / 48 h). Storage had a major impact on the increase of 5-hydroxymethyl (furan)-2-carbaldehyde (HMF) compared to the heating process. During storage (24-months) the HMF value exceeded the maximum limit. Conclusions. The HMF value (55.33 ± 0.57 mg/kg) exceeded the maximum allowable limit (max 40 ppm), this was due to the significant effect of heating on T2 and the storage process. The shelf life of Klanceng honey was two years, as long as it was not heated to high temperatures (70 ºC). Resumen Introducción. La miel Klanceng (Tetragonula laeviceps) es muy demandada por sus beneficios. No hay información sobre la fecha de caducidad de la miel Klanceng. Objetivo. Predecir la vida útil de la miel Klanceng mediante la evaluación del efecto del calentamiento (40 ºC / 48 h y 70 ºC / 7 h) y el almacenamiento durante dos años. Materiales y métodos. El análisis se llevó a cabo tres veces (2020, 2021 y 2022) en el Laboratorio de la Agencia Nacional de Investigación de Innovación, Yakarta, Indonesia. Se tomaron muestras de miel Klanceng (Tetragonula laeviceps) de una granja de abejas en Magetan, Java Oriental, Indonesia. La muestra (5 kg) se dividió en 3: sin proceso de calentamiento (UT), calentamiento a 40 °C / 48 h (T1) y calentamiento a 70 °C / 7 h (T2). Luego se analizaron HMF, diastasa, invertasa, fosfatasa ácida (AP), glucosa oxidasa (GO), DPPH, absorbancia y actividad fenólica a los 0, 12 y 24 meses. Resultados. Los resultados mostraron que el calentamiento corto a alta temperatura (70 °C / 7 h) tuvo un mayor impacto en la disminución de la actividad enzimática en comparación con el calentamiento prolongado a baja temperatura (40 °C / 48 h). El almacenamiento tuvo un impacto significativo en el aumento de 5-hidroximetil (furano)-2-carbaldehído (HMF) en comparación con el calentamiento. Durante el almacenamiento (24 meses) el valor de HMF superó el límite máximo. Conclusiones. El valor de HMF (55,33 ± 0,57 mg/kg) superó el límite máximo permitido (máximo 40 ppm), esto se debió al efecto significativo del calentamiento en T2 y el proceso de almacenamiento. La vida útil de la miel Klanceng fue de dos años, siempre que no se calentara a altas temperaturas (70 °C).

Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan UNRI yang mewadahi bidang perikanan baik hulu maupun hilir berusaha menyelesaikan masalah pengangguran yang berasal dari kampus khususnya dibidang perikanan. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat pada skim kewirausahan yang melibatkan para dosen berkolaborasi dengan lembaga Pusat Inkubator Bisnis UNRI melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan kuliner berbasis ikan. Peserta 20 orang yaitu mahasisa dan alumni yang merintis uasaha pengolahan ikan. Tujuan pelatihan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kewirausahaan, mendorong tumbuhnya motivasi berwirausaha, meningkatkan pemahaman manajemen (organisasi, produksi, keuangan, dan pemasaran) .Metode pelaksanaan mengacu pada Participatory Action Learning System (PALS).Dari hasil kegiatan pelatihan didapatkan respon positif dan keiginnan para peserta untuk berwira usaha. Pelatihan memberikan motifasi bagi para peserta untuk berkarya sebagai wirausahawan dan membuka peluang kerja untuk berkerja sama dengan UKM lainnya .Produk-produk kuliner yang diasilkan adalah rendangg ikan, bakso ikan, makarobi ikan abon ikan dan nugget .Poduk-produk ini sangant mungkin untuk dijadikan peluang usaha bagi wirausaha baru.

Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Jambi, diikuti jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan. Hal ini tentunya harus ditunjang dengan sarana dan prasarana pengelolaan sampah yang mendukung supaya tidak terjadi penumpukan sampah. Penyebab kondisi penumpukan sampah pada beberapa wilayah dikarenakan sistem pengangkutan sampah kurang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pengangkutan sampah, sarana pengangkutan sampah, proses pengangkutan sampah dan kondisi TPS dikota Jambi tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif dengan pendekatan observasional yaitu menggambarkan sistem pengangkutan sampah di Kota Jambi. Instrumen yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat tulis, kamera dan lembar observasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengangkutan sampah di Kota Jambi yang telah dilakukan pada kendaraan pengangkut sampah sebanyak 57 unit diketahui bahwa sistem pengangkutan sampah di Kota Jambi umumnya menggunakan sistem kontainer tetap sebanyak 44 (70%), sarana pengangkutan sampah dikategorikan baik sebanyak 42 (74%), proses pengangkutan sampah dikategorikan baik sebanyak 14 (25%) dan sampah di TPS dikategorikan baik sebanyak 0 (0%), untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang ada perlu upaya peningkatan dan perbaikan terhadap sarana pengangkutan sampah, pengetahuan petugas pengangkut sampah terhadap penggunaan sarana dan pengetahuan masyarakat untuk membuang sampah didalam TPS. Hal ini dilakukan agar tercapainya sistem pengangkutan sampah di Kota Jambi sesuai dengan ketentuan PERMEN PU NO 03/MPR/M/2013.

This study aims to describe the spatial ability of masculine male and feminine female students in solving geometric problems. The subjects of this study are one masculine male gender and one feminine female gender junior high school students who had the same mathematical ability. The subject selection was carried out using the Bem Sex Role Inventory instrument and Middle Semester Assessment scores, followed by conducting TPM (Problem Solving Test) and TPM-based interviews. The data collected from the TPM results and TPM-based interviews were then analyzed by applying the following steps: categorization, reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion. The results showed that subject-1 satisfied five indicators of spatial ability, namely spatial perception, visualization, spatial rotation, spatial relations, and spatial orientation so that it can be said to have high spatial abilities. On the other hand, subject-2 only meets three indicators of spatial ability, namely spatial rotation, spatial relation, and spatial orientation, so it can be said that female students have moderate spatial abilities. It is expected that the results of this study will be useful for future research and the mathematics learning process in schools
