The target can deceive the flight vehicle by releasing an infrared decoy to make the line-of-sight (LOS) angle rate deflect greatly, thus causing the flight vehicle to miss the target. Therefore, in order to accurately strike the target in complex adversarial scenarios, this paper proposes a finite-time convergence guidance law (FTCG) combined with a finite-time disturbance observer (FTDO). The complex adversarial scenario is established by combining the relative motion model between the flight vehicle and the target and the motion model of the infrared decoy. Based on this, considering the dynamic characteristic of the flight vehicle's autopilot, a guidance model is obtained. Utilizing sliding mode control theory and finite-time control theory, an FTCG of the LOS angle rate is designed. Then, the finite-time convergence of the guidance law is proved and the total convergence time is derived. Finally, for the target maneuvering that is difficult to measure in the guidance law, an FTDO is used to estimate and compensate for the target maneuvering in the guidance law. Simulation results show that the FTCG can make the LOS angle rate quickly converge and accurately strike the target in different scenarios, with a good guidance accuracy and robustness. Compared with the sliding mode guidance law (SMGL) and the adaptive sliding mode guidance law (ASMGL) based on an extended state observer (ESO), the advantages of the designed guidance law are illustrated. Finally, FTCG is extended to be three dimensional and compared with the proportional navigation guidance law (PNG) to further illustrate its effectiveness in a three-dimensional coordinate system. Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) stands out as the most aggressive form of lung cancer, characterized by an extremely high proliferation rate and a very poor prognosis, with a 5-year survival rate that falls below 7%. Approximately two-thirds of patients receive their diagnosis when the disease has already reached a metastatic or extensive stage, leaving chemotherapy as the remaining first-line treatment option. Other than the recent advances in immunotherapy, which have shown moderate results, SCLC patients cannot yet benefit from any approved targeted therapy, meaning that this cancer remains treated as a uniform entity, disregarding intra- or inter-tumoral heterogeneity. Continuous efforts and technological improvements have enabled the identification of new potential targets that could be used to implement novel therapeutic strategies. In this review, we provide an overview of the most recent approaches for SCLC treatment, providing an extensive compilation of the targeted therapies that are currently under clinical evaluation and inhibitor molecules with promising results in vitro and in vivo. One of the main concerns related to SARS-CoV-2 infection is the symptoms that could be developed by survivors, known as long COVID, a syndrome characterized by persistent symptoms beyond the acute phase of the infection. This syndrome has emerged as a complex and debilitating condition with a diverse range of manifestations affecting multiple organ systems. It is increasingly recognized for affecting the Central Nervous System, in which one of the most prevalent manifestations is cognitive impairment. The search for effective therapeutic interventions has led to growing interest in Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC)-based therapies due to their immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and tissue regenerative properties. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the current understanding and potential applications of MSC-based interventions in the context of post-acute neurological COVID-19 syndrome, exploring the underlying mechanisms by which MSCs exert their effects on neuroinflammation, neuroprotection, and neural tissue repair. Tartary buckwheat is a cereal crop that has both medicinal and food origins. However, the underlying factors that contribute to Tartary buckwheat's flowering and seed-setting characteristics, effective grain formation, and physiological changes are still not well understood. This study aimed to investigate the flowering and seed-setting characteristics of different parts of Tartary buckwheat, as well as the grain-filling characteristics after flowering. To achieve this, Tartary buckwheat cultivars with high (QK3) and low (XQ2) seed-setting rates were selected for pot and field experiments. The study found that Tartary buckwheat undergoes flowering and seed setting simultaneously. Many wilted flowers and grains were observed 45 and 51 d after flowering. Compared to XQ2, QK3 exhibited a higher grain formation rate and seed-setting rate by 7.42% and 26.16%, respectively. Additionally, QK3 had a significantly lower grain abortion rate by 12.03%. The 1000-grain weight and average grain-filling rate of QK3 were 11.10% and 14.81% higher than those of XQ2, respectively. QK3 exhibited a faster maximum grain-filling rate (Rmax), reaching 18.38% faster than XQ2. Additionally, the dry matter average distribution rate in the main stem and branched grains of QK3 was 13.26% and 23.07% higher than that of XQ2, respectively. The sucrose concentration, SS, and SSS enzyme activities of QK3 were all higher than those of XQ2, by 0.29–25.99%, 5.22–11.62%, and 6.64–12.47%, respectively. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between sucrose, soluble sugar, and starch concentration during the grain formation process and SS and SSS activities. Lung cancer stands as the first cause of death by cancer in the world. Despite the improvement in patients' outcomes in the past decades through the development of personalized medicine approaches, a substantial portion of patients remains ineligible for targeted therapies due to the lack of a "druggable" molecular target. HER2, a receptor tyrosine kinase member of the EGFR/ErbB family, is known to show oncogenic properties. In this review, we focus on the different HER2 dysregulation mechanisms that have been observed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): gene mutation, gene amplification, protein overexpression and protein hyper-phosphorylation, the latter suggesting that HER2 dysregulation can occur independently of any molecular aberration. These HER2 alterations inevitably have consequences on tumor biology. Here, we discuss how they are not only involved in abnormal proliferation and survival of cancer cells but also potentially in increased angiogenic properties, mesenchymal features and tumor immune escape. Finally, we review the impact of these HER2 alterations in various therapeutic approaches. While standard chemotherapy and groundbreaking immunotherapy seem rather ineffective for HER2-altered NSCLCs, the development of HER2-targeted therapies such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors, anti-HER2 antibodies and especially antibody–drug conjugates could provide new hopes for patients. Simple Summary: The phylogenetic status of the family Nitidulidae and its sister group relationship remain controversial. Also, the phylogenetic status of the subfamily Meligethinae and its phylogenetic relationships with other subfamilies of Nitidulidae are not fully understood. Mitochondrial genome sequences can be used to study species identification, phylogeny, and population genetic structure, and to provide valuable molecular markers for further genetic studies. In this paper, two complete mitochondrial genomes of Meligethinae were provided for the first time, and the phylogenetic status of the family Nitidulidae and subfamily Meligethinae were explored based on the complete mitochondrial genomes. A comparative analysis of the general characteristics and non-coding region patterns of the complete mitochondrial genomes of Meligethinus tschungseni and Brassicogethes affinis revealed that the base composition and mitochondrial genome structure of these two species are markedly different. Given the results of the phylogenetic analysis based on 20 mitochondrial genomes, the status of Nitidulidae and its sister group relationship is discussed. We also attempted to analyze the taxonomic status of Meligethinae and its sister group relationship. This study will provide a basis for further studies on the higher phylogeny of Nitidulidae. The phylogenetic analysis among 20 species of Coleoptera was reconstructed via PhyloBayes analysis and Maximum likelihood (ML) analysis, respectively. The results showed that the full lengths of Meligethinus tschungseni and Brassicogethes affinis were 15,783 bp and 16,622 bp, and the AT contents were 77% and 76.7%, respectively. Each complete mitochondrial genome contains 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), 2 ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs), and a control region (A + T-rich region). All the PCGs begin with the standard start codon ATN (ATA, ATT, ATG, ATC). All the PCGs terminate with a complete terminal codon, TAA or TAG, except cox1, cox2, nad4, and nad5, which terminate with a single T. Furthermore, all the tRNAs have a typical clover-leaf secondary structure except trnS1, whose DHU arm is missing in both species. The two newly sequenced species have different numbers and lengths of tandem repeat regions in their control regions. Based on the genetic distance and Ka/Ks analysis, nad6 showed a higher variability and faster evolutionary rate. Based on the available complete mitochondrial genomes, the results showed that the four subfamilies (Nitidulinae, Meligethinae, Carpophilinae, Epuraeinae) of Nitidulidae formed a monophyletic group and further supported the sister group relationship of Nitidulidae + Kateretidae. In addition, the taxonomic status of Meligethinae and the sister group relationship between Meligethinae and Nitidulinae (the latter as currently circumscribed) were also preliminarily explored. Slow transit constipation (STC) has an estimated prevalence of 2–4% of the general population, and although it is the least prevalent of the chronic constipation phenotypes, it more commonly causes refractory symptoms and is associated with significant psychosocial stress, poor quality of life, and high healthcare costs. This review provides an overview of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management options in STC. STC occurs due to colonic dysmotility and is thought to be a neuromuscular disorder of the colon. Several pathophysiologic features have been observed in STC, including reduced contractions on manometry, delayed emptying on transit studies, reduced numbers of interstitial cells of Cajal on histology, and reduced amounts of excitatory neurotransmitters within myenteric plexuses. The underlying aetiology is uncertain, but autoimmune and hormonal mechanisms have been hypothesised. Diagnosing STC may be challenging, and there is substantial overlap with the other clinical constipation phenotypes. Prior to making a diagnosis of STC, other primary constipation phenotypes and secondary causes of constipation need to be ruled out. An assessment of colonic transit time is required for the diagnosis and can be performed by a number of different methods. There are several different management options for constipation, including lifestyle, dietary, pharmacologic, interventional, and surgical. The effectiveness of the available therapies in STC differs from that of the other constipation phenotypes, and prokinetics often make up the mainstay for those who fail standard laxatives. There are few available management options for patients with medically refractory STC, but patients may respond well to surgical intervention. STC is a common condition associated with a significant burden of disease. It can present a clinical challenge, but a structured approach to the diagnosis and management can be of great value to the clinician. Freezing stress in spring often causes the death and abnormal development of young ears of wheat, leading to a significant reduction in grain production. However, the mechanisms of young wheat ears responding to freezing are largely unclear. In this study, the role of the ascorbic acid–glutathione cycle (AsA–GSH cycle) in alleviating freezing-caused oxidative damage in young wheat ears at the anther connective tissue formation phase (ACFP) was investigated. The results showed that the release rate of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the relative electrolyte conductivity in young ears of Jimai22 (JM22, freezing-tolerant) were significantly lower than those in young ears of Xumai33 (XM33, freezing-sensitive) under freezing. The level of the GSH pool (231.8~392.3 μg/g FW) was strikingly higher than that of the AsA pool (98.86~123.4 μg/g FW) in young wheat ears at the ACFP. Freezing significantly increased the level of the AsA pool and the activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and monodehydroascorbate reductase (MDHAR) in the young ears of both varieties. The level of the GSH pool increased in the young ears of XM33 under freezing but decreased in the young ears of JM22. The young ears of JM22 showed higher activities of glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and glutathione peroxidase (GPX) than the young ears of XM33 under freezing. Collectively, these results suggest that the AsA–GSH cycle plays a positive role in alleviating freezing-induced oxidative damage in young wheat ears. Furthermore, the ability of utilizing GSH as a substrate to scavenge ROS is an important factor affecting the freezing tolerance of young wheat ears. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is the predominant orthopedic disorder in children, affecting 1–3% of the global population. Research in this field has tried to delineate the genetic factors behind scoliosis and its association with heredity since AIS is considered a polygenic disease and has different genetic and epigenetic factors. The current study conducted a narrative review of the literature, focusing on biomarkers in the pathophysiology of muscle in AIS patients. Articles were collected from Scopus, Pubmed, and Web of Science. The key screening parameters were scoliosis classification, sampling, and the biomarkers evaluated. This review emphasizes potential key mechanisms and molecular regulators in muscle tissue. While there has been limited focus on the proteins contributing to muscle changes in AIS, significant attention has been given to genomic studies of single-nucleotide polymorphisms, particularly in LBX1. Despite these efforts, the exact causes of AIS remain elusive, with several theories suggesting genetic and hormonal factors. This review identified critical protein biomarkers such as Gi-protein alpha subunits, fibrillin-1 and -2, and various differentially expressed proteins, which may be linked to muscle alterations in AIS. This field of research is still limited due to a lack of homogeneity in the distinction of patients by groups and curve severity. Although the pathophysiology of AIS is still unclear, molecular research is important to guide the treatment of AIS before achieving skeletal maturity, thus avoiding serious problems associated with posture changes and low quality of life. We aimed to determine the risk factors for postoperative overactive bladder (OAB) in patients treated with an adjustable trans-obturator male system (ATOMS) for stress incontinence after radical treatment of prostate cancer. A prospective study was performed on 56 patients implanted with an ATOMS for PPI. Clinical and urodynamic information was recorded before and after ATOMS implantation. We built a multivariate model to find out the clinical and urodynamic factors that independently influenced postoperative OAB and the prognostic factors that influenced the efficacy of medical treatment of OAB. We found that the clinical risk factors were the preoperative intensity of urinary incontinence (number of daily pads used and amount of urinary leakage), International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire (ICIQ) score, postoperative number of ATOMS adjustments, final cushion volume, and incontinence cure. The urodynamic data associated with OAB were cystometric bladder capacity, voided volume, volume at initial involuntary contraction (IC), maximum flow rate, bladder contractility index (BCI), and urethral resistance (URA). The prognostic factors for the efficacy of oral treatment of OAB were the volume at the first IC (direct relationship) and the maximum abdominal voiding pressure (inverse relationship). The multivariate model showed that the independent clinical risk factors were the daily pad count before the implantation and the ICIQ score at baseline and after treatment. The independent urodynamic data were the volume at the first IC (inverse relationship) and the URA value (direct relationship). Both predictive factors of treatment efficacy were found to be independent. Detrusor overactivity plays an important role in postoperative OAB, although other urodynamic and clinical factors such as the degree of urethral resistance and abdominal strength may influence this condition. The current review work studies the adiabatic shear banding (ASB) mechanism in metals and alloys, focusing on its microstructural characteristics, dominant evolution mechanisms and final fracture. An ASB reflects a thermomechanical deformation instability developed under high strain and strain rates, finally leading to dynamic fracture. An ASB initially occurs under severe shear localization, followed by a significant rise in temperature due to high strain rate adiabatic conditions. That temperature increase activates thermal softening and mechanical degradation mechanisms, reacting to strain instability and facilitating micro-voiding, which, through its coalescence, results in cracking failure. This work aims to summarize and review the critical characteristics of an ASB's microstructure and morphology, evolution mechanisms, the propensity of materials against an ASB and fracture mechanisms in order to highlight their stage-by-stage evolution and attribute them a more consecutive behavior rather than an uncontrollable one. In that way, this study focuses on underlining some ASB aspects that remain fuzzy, allowing for further research, such as research on the interaction between thermal and damage softening regarding their contribution to ASB evolution, the conversion of strain energy to internal heat, which proved to be material-dependent instead of constant, and the strain rate sensitivity effect, which also concerns whether the temperature rise reflects a precursor or a result of ASB. Except for conventional metals and alloys like steels (low carbon, stainless, maraging, armox, ultra-high-strength steels, etc.), titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, nickel superalloys, uranium alloys, zirconium alloys and pure copper, the ASB propensity of nanocrystalline and ultrafine-grained materials, metallic-laminated composites, bulk metallic glasses and high-entropy alloys is also evaluated. Finally, the need to develop a micro-/macroscopic coupling during the thermomechanical approach to the ASB phenomenon is pointed out, highlighting the interaction between microstructural softening mechanisms and macroscopic mechanical behavior during ASB evolution and fracture. Microsatellite markers were used for the assessment of genetic diversity and genetic structure in a germplasm collection of yellow mustard, Sinapis alba L. The comprehensive collection of genetic resources represented 187 registered varieties, landraces, and breeding materials. Microsatellites generated 44 polymorphic alleles in 15 loci. Eleven of them were medium to highly polymorphic, and the high levels of observed heterozygosity (0.12–0.83) and Nei's gene diversity index (0.11–0.68) indicated a high level of polymorphism. Based on PCoA and neighbor joining analyses, the genetic resources were divided into two groups. The range of genetic dissimilarity in the analysed collection was in the range of 0.00–1.00. The high level of dissimilarity between the accessions was documented by the high WAM value (33.82%). Bayesian clustering algorithms were performed in the STRUCTURE 2.3.4 software. The number of clusters was estimated at K = 2. The accessions were classified according to Q1/Q2 values. The low average values of the parameters Fst_1 (0.3482), Fst_2 (0.1916), and parameter alpha (0.0602) indicated substantial mating barriers between varieties and reproductive isolation due to the limited exchange of genetic resources between breeders. These results demonstrated the importance of extensive collections of genetic resources for the maintenance of genetic diversity and indicated considerable genetic differentiation among accessions. Flax is an important cash crop globally with a variety of commercial uses. It has been widely used for fiber, oil, nutrition, feed and in composite materials. Growth regulatory factor (GRF) is a transcription factor family unique to plants, and is involved in regulating many processes of growth and development. Bioinformatics analysis of the GRF family in flax predicted 17 LuGRF genes, which all contained the characteristic QLQ and WRC domains. Equally, 15 of 17 LuGRFs (88%) are predicted to be regulated by lus-miR396 miRNA. Phylogenetic analysis of GRFs from flax and several other well-characterized species defined five clades; LuGRF genes were found in four clades. Most LuGRF gene promoters contained cis-regulatory elements known to be responsive to hormones and stress. The chromosomal locations and collinearity of LuGRF genes were also analyzed. The three-dimensional structure of LuGRF proteins was predicted using homology modeling. The transcript expression data indicated that most LuGRF family members were highly expressed in flax fruit and embryos, whereas LuGRF3, LuGRF12 and LuGRF16 were enriched in response to salt stress. Real-time quantitative fluorescent PCR (qRT-PCR) showed that both LuGRF1 and LuGRF11 were up-regulated under ABA and MeJA stimuli, indicating that these genes were involved in defense. LuGRF1 was demonstrated to be localized to the nucleus as expected for a transcription factor. Acute lung injury (ALI) is characterized by endothelial barrier disruption and associated inflammatory responses, and transient receptor potential cation channel 6 (TRPC6)—mediated Ca2+ influx is critical for endothelial hyperpermeability. In this study, we investigated the role of TRPC6 in LPS—induced ALI, analyzed gene expression in WT and TRPC6-/- lungs using RNA sequencing, and explored the effects of TRPC6 in the LPS—induced hyperpermeability in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. Intratracheal instillation of LPS caused edema in the mouse lungs. Deletion of TRPC6 reduced LPS—induced lung edema and decreased cell infiltration. RNA sequencing analysis suggested that downregulated cell adhesion molecules in TRPC6-/- lungs may be responsible for their resistance to LPS—induced injury. In addition, downregulation of TRPC6 significantly alleviated the LPS—induced decrease in eNOS expression in lung tissue as well as in HUVECs. Moreover, inhibition of TRPC6 with the channel antagonist larixyl led to a decrease in LPS—induced hyperpermeability and ROS production in HUVECs, which could be reversed by blocking eNOS. Our findings suggest that inhibition of TRPC6 ameliorates LPS—induced ALI, which may be achieved by acting on the cell adhesion molecule signaling pathway and participating in the regulation of eNOS levels in endothelial cells. Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a prevalent and significant type of oral cancer that has far-reaching health implications worldwide. Epigenetics, a field focused on studying heritable changes in gene expression without modifying DNA sequence, plays a pivotal role in OSCC. Epigenetic changes, encompassing DNA methylation, histone modifications, and miRNAs, exert control over gene activity and cellular characteristics. In OSCC, aberrant DNA methylation of tumor suppressor genes (TSG) leads to their inactivation, subsequently facilitating tumor growth. As a result, distinct patterns of gene methylation hold promise as valuable biomarkers for the detection of OSCC. Oral cancer treatment typically involves surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, but even with these treatments, cancer cells cannot be effectively targeted and destroyed. Researchers are therefore exploring new methods to target and eliminate cancer cells. One promising approach is the use of epigenetic modifiers, such as DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) inhibitors and histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors, which have been shown to modify abnormal epigenetic patterns in OSCC cells, leading to the reactivation of TSGs and the suppression of oncogenes. As a result, epigenetic-targeted therapies have the potential to directly alter gene expression and minimize side effects. Several studies have explored the efficacy of such therapies in the treatment of OSCC. Although studies have investigated the efficacy of epigenetic therapies, challenges in identifying reliable biomarkers and developing effective combination treatments are acknowledged. Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) has a large, edible green flower head, which is one of its critical economic traits. A prerequisite of broccoli flower head formation is flower bud differentiation (FBD). Low-temperature treatment is an effective way to induce FBD in broccoli. However, the molecular mechanism underlying low-temperature-induced broccoli FBD remains largely unclear. In this study, using broccoli cultivar Zhongqing 10 as the experimental material, we investigated the effects of low-temperature treatment on FBD by comparing the plants grown at low temperatures (17 °C/9 °C, 16 h/8 h) with the control plants grown under normal temperature conditions (25 °C/17 °C, 16 h/8 h). After 15 days of different temperature treatments, the flower buds of the plants growing under the low-temperature condition started to differentiate. However, the control plants remained in the vegetative growth stage, indicating that low temperature successfully induced flower bud formation. Subsequently, a global transcriptomic analysis was conducted to detect the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) during low-temperature-induced FBD in broccoli. A total of 14 DEGs in five phytohormone signaling pathways, 42 DEGs in nine transcription factor families, and 16 DEGs associated with the floral development pathways were identified. More DEGs were present in the auxin signaling pathway than in other phytohormone signaling pathways, which indicated that the auxin signaling pathway played a critical role in modulating low-temperature-induced FBD in broccoli. Furthermore, four TF classes, including bZIP, GCM domain factors, MADS-box factors, and C2H2 zinc finger factors, possessed enriched motifs, indicating that their closely related DETFs ABI5, HY5L, WRKY11, WRKY15, WRKY22, SOC1, AGL8, FLC, SPL8, and SPL15 may be directly involved in the transcription regulation of broccoli FBD. This study explored the effects of the sowing stage and nitrogen application rate on the grain yield and its allocation of light-temperature resources over a 9-year experiment from 2011 to 2019. Measurement indicators include the effective accumulative temperature on different growth durations, leaf area index (LAI), above-ground biomass production, and harvest index (HI). Methods: A split-plot design was arranged in the treatment, with N supply as the main plot and the sowing stage as the subplot. The main plots consisted of two nitrogen treatments: low nitrogen (LN: 120 kg ha−1) and high nitrogen (HN: 180 kg ha−1). The subplots contained two sowing stages: the early sowing stage (ES) and the late sowing stage (LS). Results: Compared with LNLS, LNES, and HNLS from 2011 to 2019, HNES of HHZ increased the grain yield by 9.5%, 2.5%, and 5.3%, while the difference in grain yield in YY8 was higher than HHZ, especially under HNES. Compared with LNLS, LNES, and HNLS from 2011 to 2019, HNES of HHZ increased the panicle number by 6.0%, 5.9%, and 1.0%, and HNES of YY8 increased by 12.7%, 11.4%, and 3.8%. Compared with HNLS of HHZ, LNES, LNLS, and HNES decreased the spikelets per panicle by 2.3%, 2.9%, and 1.1%, and decreased by 3.5%, 1.9%, and 2.2% in YY8. The early sowing or increasing N supply significantly increased the dry matter accumulated, grain weight, LAI, and HI. The higher grain yield in LNES was more closely related to the average temperature and the number of spikelets per panicle. The grain yield in HNES was more dependent on the effective accumulative temperature. Conclusions: Sowing in mid-May and increasing the N application (180 kg ha−1) are beneficial to the allocation of light temperature and the increase in yield. Oogenesis in insects is a carefully orchestrated process, facilitating the formation of female gametes, which is regulated by multiple extrinsic and intrinsic factors, including ovary serine protease (Osp). As a member of the serine protease family, Osp is a homolog of Nudel, a maternally required protease defining embryonic dorsoventral polarity in Drosophila. In this study, we used CRISPR/Cas9-mediated mutagenesis to functionally characterize Osp in the Asian corn borer, Ostrinia furnacalis, a devastating maize pest throughout Asia and Australia. Building on previous knowledge, we hypothesized that knockout of Osp would disrupt embryonic development in O. furnacalis females. To examine this overarching hypothesis, we (1) cloned and characterized Osp from O. furnacalis, (2) designed target sites on exons 1 and 4 to construct a CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis system, and (3) documented phenotypic impacts among O. furnacalis Osp mutants. As a result, we (1) examined the temporal-spatial expression profiles of OfOsp, which has an open reading frame of 5648 bp in length and encodes a protein of 1873 amino acids; (2) established O. furnacalis Osp mutants; and (3) documented recessive, female-specific sterility among OfOspF mutants, including absent or deformed oviducts and reduced fertility in female but not male mutants. Overall, the combined results support our initial hypothesis that Osp is required for embryonic development, specifically ovarian maturation, in O. furnacalis females. Given its substantial impacts on female sterility, Osp provides a potential target for the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) to manage Lepidoptera pests in general and the species complex Ostrinia in particular. Simple Summary: According to the stem cell theory of cancer, we should be judicious with immunotherapy in cancer care. When we do not realize that cancer originates from a stem cell and has stem-ness capabilities, immunotherapy could be gratifying for the wrong reasons and challenging with a cautionary tale. A simple way to understand the immune system is to separate the self from non-self. If it is self, the immune system tolerates and spares. If it is non-self, the immune system attacks and destroys. Consequently, if cancer has a stem cell origin and is a stem cell disease, we have a serious problem and a major dilemma with immunotherapy. Because many refractory cancers are more self than non-self, immunotherapy may become an uphill battle and pyrrhic victory in cancer care. In this article, we elucidate cancer immunity. We demonstrate for whom, with what, as well as when and how to apply immunotherapy in cancer care. We illustrate that a stem cell theory of cancer affects our perspectives and narratives of cancer. Without a pertinent theory about cancer's origin and nature, we may unwittingly perform misdirected cancer research and prescribe misguided cancer treatments. In the ongoing saga of immunotherapy, we are at a critical juncture. Because of the allure and promises of immunotherapy, we will be treating more patients not immediately threatened by their cancer. They may have more to lose than to gain, if we have a misconception and if we are on a wrong mission with immunotherapy. Creating new insecticide lead compounds based on the design and modification of natural products is a novel process, of which chlorfenapyr is a typical successful example. Chlorfenapyr is an arylpyrrole derivative that has high biological activity, a wide insecticidal spectrum, and a unique mode of action. For decades, a series of chlorfenapyr derivatives were designed and synthesized continuously, of which many highly active insecticidal compounds were discovered sequentially. However, due to the widespread application of chlorfenapyr and its degradation properties, some adverse effects, including pest resistance and environmental toxicity, occurred. In this review, a brief history of the discovery and development of chlorfenapyr is first introduced. Then, the synthesis, structural modification, structure activity relationship, and action mechanism of arylpyrroles are summarized. However, challenges and limitations still exist, especially in regard to the connection with pest resistance and environmental toxicology, which is discussed at the end of this review. The primary innovation of this study lies in the development of an integrated modeling framework that combines downscaled climate projections, land-use-change simulations, and copula-based risk analysis. This framework allows for the assessment of localized sub-seasonal and seasonal drought hazards under future scenarios. The BCC-CSM1-1 climate model projections from the NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections (NEX-GDDP) dataset are utilized to represent the future climate for 2025–2060 under RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios. The CA-Markov model is employed to predict future land-use-change distributions. The climate–land use–drought modeling nexus enables the generation of refined spatio-temporal projections of meteorological and hydrological drought risks in the Yellow River Basin (YRB) in the future period of 2025–2060. The results highlight the increased vulnerability of the upper YRB to sub-seasonal meteorological droughts, as well as the heightened sub-seasonal hydrological drought risks in the Loess Plateau. Furthermore, downstream areas experience escalated seasonal hydrological drought exposure due to urbanization. By providing actionable insights into localized future drought patterns, this integrated assessment approach advances preparedness and climate adaptation strategies. Power transformers are essential for the distribution and transmission of electricity, but they are prone to degradation due to faults early on. Partial Discharge (PD) is the most significant pointer of insulation breakdown in high-voltage apparatus. Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) is a commonly used technique for detecting and diagnosing PD. However, DGA data often contain missing values, which can significantly affect the accuracy of PD diagnosis. To mitigate the issues of missing values, this paper proposes using the k-Nearest Neighbors (kNN) technique to impute the missing values in the dataset. Further, it combines kNN with a Support Vector Machine (SVM) to detect the possibility of a PD source in the high-voltage apparatus. The approach was evaluated on a real-world DGA dataset and achieved high classification performance and discriminatory power for distinguishing between PD and non-PD instances. The effectiveness of the missing value imputation technique was evaluated, and the proposed approach demonstrated improved accuracy and precision compared to methods without imputation. Amphiphilic-polymer flooding, which can increase water viscosity, decrease oil viscosity, and improve oil displacement efficiency, is a promising oil exploitation method for heavy oil. Due to oil–water emulsification, shear-thinning, and changes in oil viscosity when determining the relative permeability data of new amphiphilic polymers, the conventional J.B.N. method is not accurate. This paper presents a new method called the iso-permeability point trial method to determine the relative permeability curve by combining the J.B.N. method, the Corey model, and the relationship between water saturation and the relative permeability ratio. To avoid using polymer viscosity, a mathematical equation was derived based on the characteristics of the relative permeability curve. The results indicate that the new method is feasible and the obtained curve is more reasonable and smooth. The influence of concentration, permeability, and oil viscosity on amphiphilic-polymer displacement relative permeability was also analyzed, demonstrating that under the same water saturation, the water relative permeability is lower than that of water flooding but the oil relative permeability is bigger, which manifests as the iso-permeability point moves to the right and results in a lower residual oil saturation. In recent years, with the rapid development of the economy and great progress in science and technology, people have become increasingly concerned about their quality of life and physical health. In order to pursue a higher life, various functional and biomimetic textiles have emerged one after another and have been sought after by people. There are many animal and plant surfaces with special wettability in nature, and their unique "micro-nano structures" and low surface energy have attracted extensive attention from researchers. Researchers have prepared various textiles with superhydrophobic features by mimicking these unique structures. This review introduces the typical organisms with superhydrophobicity in nature, using lotus, water strider, and cicada as examples, and describes their morphological features and excellent superhydrophobicity. The theoretical model, commonly used raw materials, and modification technology of superhydrophobic surfaces are analyzed. In addition, the application areas and the current study status of superhydrophobic surfaces for textiles are also summarized. During this study, eight basalt fiber-reinforced recycled aggregate concrete-filled circular steel-tubular (C-BFRRACFST) column specimens were subjected to eccentric compression tests with different replacement ratios of recycled coarse aggregate (RCA), basalt fiber (BF) contents, length-diameter (L/D), and eccentricity. The whole process of stress as well as failure mode of the specimens were observed, and a load–displacement curve as well as a load–strain curve for the specimens were measured. The impacts of various parameters upon the bearing capacity, peak displacement, and ductility coefficient of the specimens were analyzed. Subsequently, a 3D finite element model of the C-BFRRACFST column was established, and the whole process of stress was simulated. Based on the finite element simulation results, the N/Nu-M/Mu correlation strength curve of the C-BFRRACFST columns was verified. The exploration demonstrated that under eccentric load, the C-BFRRACFST column eventually underwent destruction of the overall instability. The load–axial displacement curve was characterized as three stress stages: elastic, elastic–plastic, declining, as well as declining stages. The strain of the mid-span section for the specimens follows the plane section assumption, and the lateral deflection basically follows the sine waveform curve. The ultimate bearing capacity of the specimens exhibited little change as the replacement ratio of RCA improved, while the ductility progressively reduced. Furthermore, the ultimate bearing capacity of the specimens failed to be obviously changed as the BF content enhanced, while the ductility progressively rose. Increasing the L/D gradually reduced the specimen's ultimate bearing capacity alongside its ductility. The corrected N/Nu-M/Mu curve agreed well with the findings of finite element simulation. For the rapid detection of bacteria in a blood sample, nucleic acid amplification-based assays are believed to be promising. Nevertheless, the nucleic acids released from the dead blood cells or bacteria could affect the assay performance. This highlights the importance of the isolation of live bacteria from blood samples. To address this issue, this study proposes a two-step process. First, a blood sample was treated with the immuno-magnetic microbeads-based separation to remove the majority of blood cells. Second, an optically induced dielectrophoresis (ODEP) microfluidic system with an integrated dynamic circular light image array was utilized to further isolate and purify the live bacteria from the remaining blood cells based on their size difference. In this work, the ODEP microfluidic system was developed. Its performance for the isolation and purification of bacteria was evaluated. The results revealed that the method was able to harvest the live bacteria in a high purity (90.5~99.2%) manner. Overall, the proposed method was proven to be capable of isolating and purifying high-purity live bacteria without causing damage to the co-existing cells. This technical feature was found to be valuable for the subsequent nucleic-acid-based bacteria detection, in which the interferences caused by the nontarget nucleic acids could be eliminated. Salt stress and drought stress can decrease the growth and productivity of agricultural crops. Plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) may protect and promote plant growth at abiotic stress. The aim of this study was to search for bacterial strains that can help crops resist rises in drought and salt stresses, to improve crop seed resistance under drought and salt stresses, and to investigate the effect of bacterial strains that can help crop resist external stresses under different stress conditions. Pseudomonas DY1-3, a strain from the soil under the glacier moss community of Tien Shan No. 1, was selected to investigate its growth-promoting effects. Previous studies have shown that this strain is capable of producing ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) deaminase. In this experiment, multifunctional biochemical test assays were evaluated to determine their potential as PGPB and their bacterial growth-promoting properties and stress-resistant effects on maize plants were verified through seed germination experiments and pot experiments. The results showed that strain DY1-3 has good salt and drought tolerance, as well as the ability to melt phosphorus, fix nitrogen, and produce iron carriers, IAA, EPS, and other pro-biomasses. This study on the growth-promoting effects of the DY1-3 bacterial strain on maize seeds revealed that the germination rate, primary root length, germ length, number of root meristems, and vigor index of the maize seeds were increased after soaking them in bacterial solution under no-stress, drought-stress, and salt-stress environments. In the potting experiments, seedlings in the experimental group inoculated with DY1-3 showed increased stem thicknesses, primary root length, numbers of root meristems, and plant height compared to control seedlings using sterile water. In the study on the physiological properties of the plants related to resistance to stress, the SOD, POD, CAT, and chlorophyll contents of the seedlings in the experimental group, to which the DY1-3 strain was applied, were higher than those of the control group of seedlings to which the bacterial solution was not applied. The addition of the bacterial solution reduced the content of MDA in the experimental group seedlings, which indicated that DY1-3 could positively affect the promotion of maize seedlings and seeds against abiotic stress. In this study, it was concluded that strain DY1-3 is a valuable strain for application, which can produce a variety of pro-biotic substances to promote plant growth in stress-free environments or to help plants resist abiotic stresses. In addition to this, the strain itself has good salt and drought tolerance, making it an option to help crops grown in saline soils to withstand abiotic stresses, and a promising candidate for future application in agricultural biofertilizers. Printed circuit heat exchangers (PCHEs) are widely used as recuperators in the supercritical carbon dioxide (S-CO2) Brayton cycle design. The variation of heat sources will have a great impact on the heat transfer effect of the recuperator. It is of interest to study the fast calculation of flow and heat transfer performance of PCHEs under different operating conditions to obtain the optimal comprehensive performance and provide guidance for the operation control strategy analysis. Herein, a fast calculation method is established through a one-dimensional model of a PCHE based on Modelica. The effects of working medium mass flow rate and inlet temperature on the flow and heat transfer process are analyzed from the three aspects of heat transfer rate, flow pressure drop, and comprehensive performance, and the mass flow rate matching optimization is realized. The results show that increased mass flow rate increases heat transfer rate and flow pressure drop. The efficiency evaluation coefficient (EEC) has a maximum value at which the mass flow rate values of the cold and hot channels are best matched, and the comprehensive performance is optimal. When the mass flow rate of the heat channel is 4.8 g/s, the maximum EEC is 1.42, corresponding to the mass flow rate of the cold channel, 4.2 g/s. Compared with the design condition, the heat transfer rate increases by 62.1%, and the total pump power increases by 14.2%. When the cold channel inlet temperature increases, EEC decreases rapidly, whereas EEC increases when the hot channel inlet temperature increases. Simple Summary: Research has clearly shown a connection between the respiratory tract microbiome and lung cancer. The composition and metabolism of the bacterial community in lung cancer patients differ from those in healthy individuals. Further large-scale studies are needed to understand the microbiome's role in lung cancer, including identifying bacterial species, deciphering mechanisms and relationships with the macro-organisms, and addressing analysis-related issues. Large-scale research is also needed on the lung mycobiome and virome. Identifying microorganisms involved in oncogenic processes could improve lung cancer patient screening, diagnosis, and therapeutic options. This review presents the current state of knowledge on the role of the respiratory tract microbiome in lung carcinogenesis. We highlight what we know and what we don' yet know about the human lung oncobiome. The importance of microbiota in developing and treating diseases, including lung cancer (LC), is becoming increasingly recognized. Studies have shown differences in microorganism populations in the upper and lower respiratory tracts of patients with lung cancer compared to healthy individuals, indicating a link between dysbiosis and lung cancer. However, it is not only important to identify "which bacteria are present" but also to understand "how" they affect lung carcinogenesis. The interactions between the host and lung microbiota are complex, and our knowledge of this relationship is limited. This review presents research findings on the bacterial lung microbiota and discusses the mechanisms by which lung-dwelling microorganisms may directly or indirectly contribute to the development of lung cancer. These mechanisms include influences on the host immune system regulation and the local immune microenvironment, the regulation of oncogenic signaling pathways in epithelial cells (causing cell cycle disorders, mutagenesis, and DNA damage), and lastly, the MAMPs-mediated path involving the effects of bacteriocins, TLRs signaling induction, and TNF release. A better understanding of lung microbiota's role in lung tumor pathology could lead to identifying new diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers and developing personalized therapeutic management for lung cancer patients. Simple Summary: Upper tract urothelial cancer is an aggressive malignancy that requires prompt treatment in the form of removal of the kidney and ureter with a bladder cuff, especially for invasive disease. The ideal surgical technique should offer a complete cancer clearance, including the ability to remove lymph glands with a short recovery period. The three techniques currently available include open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. This review compares the three techniques both on cancer clearance and survival by analyzing the existing literature. We found the robotic technique to be similar or slightly superior to either the open or laparoscopic approach for overall survival, cancer-specific survival, lymph node removal rates, and the rates of risk for residual cancer (positive margins). However, the risk of recurrent tumours in the bladder was identified to be higher in robotic surgery compared to the open approach. The study determines that the robotic approach offers comparable outcomes to the open and laparoscopic approaches, which are well established but for which the overall quality of evidence has been poor. Introduction and Aims: The optimal approach for nephroureterectomy in patients with suspected UTUC remains a point of debate. In this review, we compare the oncological outcomes of robotic nephroureterectomy (RNU) with open (ONU) or laparoscopic nephroureterectomy (LNU). Methods: All randomized trials and observational studies comparing RNU with ONU and/or LNU for suspected non-metastatic UTUC are included in this review. The systematic review was performed in accordance with the Cochrane Guidelines and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The primary outcome measures were overall survival (OS), cancer-specific survival (CSS), disease-free survival (DFS), and intravesical recurrence-free survival (IV-RFS). The secondary outcome measures were the lymph node dissection (LND) rates, positive margin rates, and the proportion of patients receiving bladder intravesical chemotherapy. Results: We identified 8172 references through our electronic searches and 8 studies through manual searching. A total of 15 studies met the inclusion criteria. The total number of patients in the review was 18,964. RNU had superior OS compared to LNU (HR: 0.81 (95% CI: 0.71, 0.93), p-0.002 (very low certainty)). RNU and ONU had similar OS (HR: 0.83 (95% CI: 0.52, 1.34), p-0.44 (very low certainty)). One study reported an independent association of RNU as a worse predictor of IV-RFS when compared to ONU (HR-1.73 (95% CI: 1.22, 2.45)). The LND rates were higher in the RNU cohort when compared to the LNU cohort (RR 1.24 (95% CI: 1.03, 1.51), p-0.03 (low certainty)). The positive margin rate was lower in the RNU cohort when compared to the ONU cohort (RR 0.29 (95% CI: 0.08, 0.86), p-0.03 (low certainty)). Conclusion: RNU offers comparable oncological efficacy to ONU, except for intravesical recurrence-free survival (IV-RFS). RNU has fewer positive surgical margin rates compared to ONU in well-balanced studies. Autophagy is a catabolic process that is essential to the maintenance of homeostasis through the cellular recycling of damaged organelles or misfolded proteins, which sustains energy balance. Additionally, autophagy plays a dual role in modulating the development and progression of cancer and inducing a survival strategy in tumoral cells. Programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) modulates the immune response and is responsible for maintaining self-tolerance. Because tumor cells exploit the PD-L1–PD-1 interaction to subvert the immune response, immunotherapy has been developed based on the use of PD-L1-blocking antibodies. Recent evidence has suggested a bidirectional regulation between autophagy and PD-L1 molecule expression in tumor cells. Moreover, the research into the intrinsic properties of PD-L1 has highlighted new functions that are advantageous to tumor cells. The relationship between autophagy and PD-L1 is complex and still not fully understood; its effects can be context-dependent and might differ between tumoral cells. This review refines our understanding of the non-immune intrinsic functions of PD-L1 and its potential influence on autophagy, how these could allow the survival of tumor cells, and what this means for the efficacy of anti-PD-L1 therapeutic strategies. Despite the "big data" on cancer from recent breakthroughs in high-throughput technology and the development of new therapeutic modalities, it remains unclear as to how intra-tumor heterogeneity and phenotypic plasticity created by various somatic abnormalities and epigenetic and metabolic adaptations orchestrate therapy resistance, immune evasiveness, and metastatic ability. Tumors are formed by various cells, including immune cells, cancer-associated fibroblasts, and endothelial cells, and their tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a crucial role in malignant tumor progression and responses to therapy. ADP-ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) and AMAP1 are often overexpressed in cancers, which statistically correlates with poor outcomes. The ARF6-AMAP1 pathway promotes the intracellular dynamics and cell-surface expression of various proteins. This pathway is also a major target for KRAS/TP53 mutations to cooperatively promote malignancy in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), and is closely associated with immune evasion. Additionally, this pathway is important in angiogenesis, acidosis, and fibrosis associated with tumor malignancy in the TME, and its inhibition in PDAC cells results in therapeutic synergy with an anti-PD-1 antibody in vivo. Thus, the ARF6-based pathway affects the TME and the intrinsic function of tumors, leading to malignancy. About 80% of lung cancer patients are diagnosed with non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). EGFR mutation and overexpression are common in NSCLC, thus making EGFR signaling a key target for therapy. While EGFR kinase inhibitors (EGFR–TKIs) are widely used and efficacious in treatment, increases in resistance and tumor recurrence with alternative survival pathway activation, such as that of AXL and MET, occur frequently. AXL is one of the EMT (epithelial–mesenchymal transition) signature genes, and EMT morphological changes are also responsible for EGFR–TKI resistance. MIG6 is a negative regulator of ERBB signaling and has been reported to be positively correlated with EGFR–TKI resistance, and downregulation of MIG6 by miR–200 enhances EMT transition. While MIG6 and AXL are both correlated with EMT and EGFR signaling pathways, how AXL, MIG6 and EGFR interplay in lung cancer remains elusive. Correlations between AXL and MIG6 expression were analyzed using Oncomine or the CCLE. A luciferase reporter assay was used for determining MIG6 promoter activity. Ectopic overexpression, RNA interference, Western blot analysis, qRT–PCR, a proximity ligation assay and a coimmunoprecipitation assay were performed to analyze the effects of certain gene expressions on protein–protein interaction and to explore the underlying mechanisms. An in vitro kinase assay and LC–MS/MS were utilized to determine the phosphorylation sites of AXL. In this study, we demonstrate that MIG6 is a novel substrate of AXL and is stabilized upon phosphorylation at Y310 and Y394/395 by AXL. This study reveals a connection between MIG6 and AXL in lung cancer. AXL phosphorylates and stabilizes MIG6 protein, and in this way EGFR signaling may be modulated. Neutrophils are innate immune cells that play a key role in pathogen clearance. They contribute to inflammatory diseases, including diabetes, by releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines, reactive oxygen species, and extracellular traps (NETs). NETs contain a DNA backbone and catalytically active myeloperoxidase (MPO), which produces hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Chlorination of the DNA nucleoside 8-chloro-deoxyguanosine has been reported as an early marker of inflammation in diabetes. In this study, we examined the reactivity of different chlorinated nucleosides, including 5-chloro-(deoxy)cytidine (5ClC, 5CldC), 8-chloro-(deoxy)adenosine (8ClA, 8CldA) and 8-chloro-(deoxy)guanosine (8ClG, 8CldG), with the INS-1E β-cell line. Exposure of INS-1E cells to 5CldC, 8CldA, 8ClA, and 8CldG decreased metabolic activity and intracellular ATP, and, together with 8ClG, induced apoptotic cell death. Exposure to 8ClA, but not the other nucleosides, resulted in sustained endoplasmic reticulum stress, activation of the unfolded protein response, and increased expression of thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) and heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1). Exposure of INS-1E cells to 5CldC also increased TXNIP and NAD(P)H dehydrogenase quinone 1 (NQO1) expression. In addition, a significant increase in the mRNA expression of NQO1 and GPx4 was seen in INS-1E cells exposed to 8ClG and 8CldA, respectively. However, a significant decrease in intracellular thiols was only observed in INS-1E cells exposed to 8ClG and 8CldG. Finally, a significant decrease in the insulin stimulation index was observed in experiments with all the chlorinated nucleosides, except for 8ClA and 8ClG. Together, these results suggest that increased formation of chlorinated nucleosides during inflammation in diabetes could influence β-cell function and may contribute to disease progression. Maxillary sinus fungal ball (MSFB) is the most common type of non-invasive fungal rhinosinusitis. Since MSFB requires a unique treatment strategy and is associated with potentially severe complications, timely and precise diagnosis is crucial. Computed tomography (CT) is the first-line imaging tool for evaluating chronic rhinosinusitis. Accordingly, we aimed to investigate the clinical and CT imaging characteristics of MSFB. We retrospectively enrolled 97 patients with unilateral MSFB and 158 with unilateral non-fungal maxillary rhinosinusitis. The clinical characteristics, laboratory data, and CT imaging features of participants were evaluated. Older age, female sex, lower white blood cell and neutrophil counts, and CT imaging features (including an irregular surface, erosion of the medial sinus wall, sclerosis of the lateral sinus wall, and intralesional hyperdensity) were significantly associated with MSFB. The presence of adjacent maxillary odontogenic pathology was associated with a decreased likelihood of the incidence of MSFB in unilateral maxillary rhinosinusitis. Separate nomograms were created for patients, without and with the use of CT scan, to predict the probabilities of MSFB in patients with unilateral maxillary rhinosinusitis. We proposed two nomograms based on the clinical and CT characteristics of patients with MSFB. Beauveria bassiana (B. bassiana) is a broad-spectrum entomopathogenic fungus that can control pests in agriculture and forestry. In this study, encoding ecdysteroid uridine diphosphate glucosyltransferase gene (egt) was successfully screened in B. bassiana on the medium containing 500μg/mL G418 sulfate solution through the protoplast transformation method. This enzyme has the function of 20E (20-hydroxyecdysone) inactivation, thus increasing the mortality of the early instar larvae infected with B. bassiana. In this study, we transformed B. bassiana with the egt gene, which deactivates 20-hydroxyecdysone, a key hormone in insect development. The results showed that transgenic B. bassiana killed more silkworms of the 2nd instar larvae than the wild-type with a shorter LT50 time, which was reduced by approximately 20% (day 1 of the 2nd instar silkworm infection of B. bassiana) and 26.4% (day 2 of the 2nd instar silkworm infection of B. bassiana) compared to the wild-type, and also showed a higher mortality number before molting. The transgenic B. bassiana had a higher coverage of the body surface of silkworms compared to the wild type on the 3rd instar. Traditional methods for identifying gear faults typically require a substantial number of faulty samples, which in reality are challenging to obtain. To tackle this challenge, this paper introduces a sophisticated approach for intelligent gear fault identification, utilizing discrete wavelet decomposition and an enhanced convolutional neural network (CNN) optimized for scenarios with limited sample data. Initially, the features of the sample signal are extracted and enhanced using discrete wavelet decomposition. Subsequently, the refined signal is transformed into a two-dimensional image through a Markov transition field, preparing it for improved two-dimensional CNN training. Finally, the refined network model is applied to assess the gear fault dataset, achieving a training accuracy of 97% and a classification accuracy of 88.33%. Background: Cerebral microbleeds (CMBs), a notable neuroimaging finding often associated with cerebral microangiopathy, demonstrate a heightened prevalence in patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), which is in turn linked to less favourable clinical prognoses. Nevertheless, the exact prevalence of CMBs and their influence on post-reperfusion therapy outcomes remain inadequately elucidated. Materials and Methods: Through systematic searches of PubMed, Embase and Cochrane databases, studies were identified adhering to specific inclusion criteria: (a) AIS patients, (b) age ≥ 18 years, (c) CMBs at baseline, (d) availability of comparative data between CMB-positive and CMB-negative groups, along with relevant post-reperfusion therapy outcomes. The data extracted were analysed using forest plots of odds ratios, and random-effects modelling was applied to investigate the association between CMBs and symptomatic intracerebral haemorrhage (sICH), haemorrhagic transformation (HT), 90-day functional outcomes, and 90-day mortality post-reperfusion therapy. Results: In a total cohort of 9776 AIS patients who underwent reperfusion therapy, 1709 had CMBs, with a pooled prevalence of 19% (ES 0.19; 95% CI: 0.16, 0.23, p < 0.001). CMBs significantly increased the odds of sICH (OR 2.57; 95% CI: 1.72; 3.83; p < 0.0001), HT (OR 1.53; 95% CI: 1.25; 1.88; p < 0.0001), as well as poor functional outcomes at 90 days (OR 1.59; 95% CI: 1.34; 1.89; p < 0.0001) and 90-day mortality (OR 1.65; 95% CI: 1.27; 2.16; p < 0.0001), relative to those without CMBs, in AIS patients undergoing reperfusion therapy (encompassing intravenous thrombolysis [IVT], endovascular thrombectomy [EVT], either IVT or EVT, and bridging therapy). Variations in the level of association can be observed among different subgroups of reperfusion therapy. Conclusions: This meta-analysis underscores a significant association between CMBs and adverse postprocedural safety outcomes encompassing sICH, HT, poor functional outcome, and increased mortality in AIS patients undergoing reperfusion therapy. In recent years, virtual microgravity training technology for astronauts based on cable-driven designs has emerged, and it solves the following problems: high costs, short training times, and low safety of existing equipment. However, this technology does not solve the reduced motion accuracy problem of the operated object due to the elastic deformation of cables, and this problem will reduce the operational experience of astronauts during training. In view of this problem, a cable-driven virtual operation training system for astronauts is designed, and a new composite control strategy based on parallel cables is proposed, which effectively improves motion control accuracy by allocating cable tension and using a tension compliance control method to suppress the influence of cable deformation. In addition, the desired tension of cables is optimized based on the system's workspace so that the system can achieve more complex virtual microgravity training tasks. The nutritional value of wheat is measured by its grain protein content (PC) and is sensitive to climate change. The potential variations of future wheat PC under the influence of global warming varied among studies. Wheat PC data from China since 1980 were collected to explore the relationship between wheat PC and climatic variables, and Coupled Model Intercomparison Project 6 (CMIP6) models were used to project wheat PC and protein yield (PY) in China from 2041–2060. The results show that climatic variables during wheat heading to the maturation period have critical effects on wheat PC. The mean maximum air temperature and mean diurnal temperature range exhibited the greatest positive effects on wheat PC. The mean PC will increase under all shared socioeconomic pathway (SSP) scenarios, with significant rises in North China and the Guanzhong Plain, but a decrease in the Yangtze River Basin. Wheat PY with adaptations will increase, while that without adaptations will decrease. Global warming will increase wheat PC but decrease PY and protein production. These impacts could be mitigated by applying adaptation management. Our results enhance our understanding of wheat PC variation patterns and the possible response of wheat to future climate changes, and highlight the importance of applying suitable adaptations. Background and Objectives: Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease in the supporting tissues of the teeth caused by specific microorganisms or groups of microorganisms. P. gingivalis bacterium is the keystone pathogen in periodontitis, so even at low concentrations, it has a considerable influence on the oral community. Antimicrobials and antiplaque agents can be used as adjunctive therapy for periodontitis treatment. Konjac glucomannan (KGM), as a natural polysaccharide, has flavonoid (3,5-diacetyltambulin) and triterpenoids (ambylon) compounds that show antibacterial activity. This research aims to analyze the antibacterial activity of KGM on animal and in vitro periodontitis models. Materials and Methods: The animal study divided 48 mice into four groups (control, KGM, periodontitis, KGM + periodontitis). Mice were given an intervention substance by oral gavage from day 1 to day 14, periodontitis was induced on day 7, and decapitation was performed on day 14. Samples from the right maxillary jaw of mice were used for histological preparations and morphometrics analysis. In vitro studies were carried out by adding several concentrations of KGM (25, 50, and 100 μg/mL) into a planktonic P. gingivalis and P. gingivalis biofilm. Results: In the animal model, KGM could prevent alveolar bone loss in the periodontitis mice model, both in histologic and morphometrics assessments. In vitro, KGM had antibacterial activity against P. gingivalis with better bacteriostatic (15–23%) than bactericidal (11–20%) ability, proven by its ability to inhibit P. gingivalis proliferation. Conclusions: KGM can be considered to have the potential as an antibacterial agent to prevent periodontitis. The prevention of periodontitis may improve patient well-being and human quality of life. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expression of the senescence markers, Decoy Receptor 2 (DcR2) and Differentiated Embryo-Chondrocyte expressed gen 1 (DEC1), in oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) to ascertain their possible association with oral cancer risk. The immunohistochemical analysis of DcR2 and DEC1 expression (along with p16 and Ki67 expression) was carried out in 60 patients with clinically diagnosed oral leukoplakia. Fifteen cases (25%) subsequently developed an invasive carcinoma. Correlations between protein marker expression, histological grade and oral cancer risk were assessed. DcR2, DEC1 and Ki67 protein expressions were found to correlate significantly with increased oral cancer risk, and also with an increased grade of dysplasia. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that DcR2 and Ki67 expression are independent predictors of oral cancer development. Our results evidence for the first time the potential of DcR2 as an early biomarker to assess oral cancer risk in patients with oral leukoplakia (HR = 59.7, p = 0.015), showing a superior predictive value to histology (HR = 4.225, p = 0.08). These findings reveal that the increased expression of DcR2 and DEC1 occurred frequently in OPMDs. Neurodegenerative disorders encompass a broad spectrum of profoundly disabling situations that impact millions of individuals globally. While their underlying causes and pathophysiology display considerable diversity and remain incompletely understood, a mounting body of evidence indicates that the disruption of blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability, resulting in brain damage and neuroinflammation, is a common feature among them. Consequently, targeting the BBB has emerged as an innovative therapeutic strategy for addressing neurological disorders. Within this review, we not only explore the neuroprotective, neurotrophic, and immunomodulatory benefits of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in combating neurodegeneration but also delve into their recent role in modulating the BBB. We will investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms through which MSC treatment impacts primary age-related neurological conditions like Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke, as well as immune-mediated diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Our focus will center on how MSCs participate in the modulation of cell transporters, matrix remodeling, stabilization of cell-junction components, and restoration of BBB network integrity in these pathological contexts. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been implicated in tumorigenesis, including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). However, the functional and regulatory mechanisms of lncRNAs in LUAD remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the role of lncRNA ZBED5-AS1 in LUAD. We found that ZBED5-AS1 was upregulated in LUAD specimens and overexpressed in LUAD cell lines. ZBED5-AS1 promoted LUAD cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro and promoted LUAD cell growth in vivo. ZBED5-AS1 promoted ZNF146 expression, activating the ATR/Chk1 pathway and leading to LUAD progression. We observed that exosomes from LUAD cells have a higher expression of ZBED5-AS1 compared with exosomes from the normal cell line BEAS-2B. Coculture experiments with exosomes showed that ZBED5-AS1 expression was downregulated after coculture with Si-ZBED5-AS1 exosomes, and coculture with exosomes with low ZBED5-AS1 expression inhibited proliferation and invasion of LUAD cells. Neuroblastoma (NB) is a pediatric malignancy originating from neural crest cells of the sympathetic nervous system that accounts for 15% of all pediatric cancer deaths. Despite advances in treatment, high-risk NB remains difficult to cure, highlighting the need for novel therapeutic approaches. Ubiquitin-specific protease 7 (USP7) is a deubiquitinase that plays a critical role in tumor suppression and DNA repair, and USP7 overexpression has been associated with tumor aggressiveness in a variety of tumors, including NB. Therefore, USP7 is a potential therapeutic target for NB. The tumor suppressor p53 is a known target of USP7, and therefore reactivation of the p53 pathway may be an effective therapeutic strategy for NB treatment. We hypothesized that inhibition of USP7 would be effective against NB tumor growth. Using a novel USP7 inhibitor, Almac4, we have demonstrated significant antitumor activity, with significant decreases in both cell proliferation and cell viability in TP53 wild-type NB cell lines. USP7 inhibition in NB cells activated the p53 pathway via USP7 and MDM2 degradation, leading to reduced p53 ubiquitination and increased p53 expression in all sensitive NB cells. In addition, USP7 inhibition led to decreased N-myc protein levels in both MYCN-amplified and -nonamplified NB cell lines, but no correlation was observed between MYCN amplification and treatment response. USP7 inhibition induced apoptosis in all TP53 wild-type NB cell lines. USP7 inhibition also induced EZH2 ubiquitination and degradation. Lastly, the combination of USP7 and MDM2 inhibition showed enhanced efficacy. Using supercritical CO2 as a heat transfer fluid in microchannel receivers is a promising alternative for tower concentrating solar power plants. In this paper, the heat transfer and flow characteristics of supercritical CO2 in microchannels at high temperature are investigated by numerical simulations. The effects of microchannel structure, mass flow rate, heat flux, pressure, inlet temperature and radiation are analyzed and discussed. The results show that higher mass flow rate obtains poorer heat transfer performance with larger flow resistance of supercritical CO2 in microchannels at high temperature. The fluid and wall temperatures, average heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop all increase nearly linearly with the increases in heat flux and inlet temperature in the high-temperature region. Moreover, high pressure contributes to great hydraulic performance with approximate thermal performance. The effect of radiation on thermal performance is more pronounced than that on hydraulic performance. Furthermore, the optimized structures of inlet and outlet headers, as well as those of the multichannel in the microchannels, are proposed to obtain good temperature uniformity in the microchannels with relatively low pressure drop. The results given in the current study can be conducive to the design and application of microchannel receivers with supercritical CO2 as a heat transfer fluid in the third generation of concentrating solar power plants.
