Background and Aim: Over the past three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, both the external sports environment for youth physical exercise and the national education policy landscape have undergone significant changes. In light of these developments and to align with physical education instruction in the next era, ensuring high-quality physical education, and promoting the physical fitness of young individuals, this study aims to construct a physical education instructional model "CISSO" (collaborate, input, school, student, output) to better regulate and optimize the process of physical education learning management and improving the quality of learning management. Methods: This study was future research conducted with phase 1 exploring the problem by reviewing literature and 5 experts through Semi-structured interviews, the PESTEL model, and the SIPOC model to analyze influencing factors, to drat physical education instructional concept model; phase 2 by questionnaires and modified Delphi to construct physical education instructional model "CISSO"; phase 3 connoisseurship to determine and evaluate the rationality of the CISSO model. Results: The CISSO Model contains factors of Collaborate, Input, School, Student, and Output such as: (1) Collaborate: a collaborative educational approach guided by the government, led by schools, and supported by social organizations and families. (2) Input: The key to governing school physical education management is to take more measures to increase comprehensive "Input" in school physical education learning. (3) School: The CISSO model places a significant emphasis on aligning with the Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition), and revolves around key components such as "learning, practicing, competing, and evaluation," resulting in a new and cohesive state of physical education. (4) Student: accentuates the subjectivity of students, with a pronounced focus on fostering their psychological development through sports education, thereby progressively instilling positive exercise routines. (5) Output: It holds the promise of driving improvements in students' physical abilities and fostering a greater sense of contentment among parents with the school's physical education initiatives. Conclusion: By implementing the CISSO model, educators and policymakers can gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in managing physical education during the next era of education. The findings from this study will aid in making informed and wise decisions, enabling the formulation of effective strategies to optimize the learning experience of students in this dynamic educational landscape.

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge impact on education worldwide. Many countries have therefore suspended classes for pandemic prevention. As the situation of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control in China has gradually improved, elementary and middle schools have started to resume classes. To guarantee the resumption of classes and pandemic prevention and control at the same time, and to ensure the safety and health of teachers and students, schools carefully planned various tasks after school resumption. The creative work carried out in various places and time ensured that the school resumed in a timely, orderly, and scientific manner. This paper took some elementary and middle schools in China as examples, and introduced in detail the preparatory work before the class resumption and the pandemic prevention and teaching measures under the pandemic after the class resumption.

Students with multiple health risk behaviors (HRB) have increased amount of research attention. The study aimed to examine the multiple health behaviors and whether these behaviors differ by demographic characteristics and social factors in a 1-year follow-up study among 1,989 students. All the measures were from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System. Associations between demographic characteristics/social factors and multiple HRB were examined by logistic regression models. Binary logistic models indicated that females had generally higher odds of physical inactivity but lower odds of cigarette smoking, alcohol drinking, suicide attempt, and breakfast skipping. Students more than 18 years had higher odds of cigarette smoking. Physical inactivity was negatively correlated with playing school sports teams and taking extracurricular activities. Students with screen time >2 hr/d were more likely to be with physical inactivity or alcohol drinking. Logistic regression models showed that males showed higher odds of two, three, and four to six HRB at 3T. Not taking part in school sports teams/extracurricular activities and screen time >2 hr/d at baseline were risk factors of multiple HRB. Our results reveal a close association between youth risk behaviors and demographic characteristics/social factors. Health promotion interventions of co-occurred behavior should be conducted at schools.

High prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes has emerged as a concern in China. The Pathway to Health Program was designed to prevent type 2 diabetes onset in prediabetic women in a north China urban community. This process evaluation of a randomized controlled trial analysed participant surveys at the 6- and 12-month assessment times, participant weekly logs, class attendance records and post-study participant focus group results. The reported levels of participant engagement in physical activity (PA)-related behaviors were higher than diet-related behaviors at the 6-month assessment. The engagement in both PA- and diet-related behaviors declined during the 6-month follow-up period. Step counts from the participants' pedometers indicated an increase in PA in the first 6 months of the intervention. Study participants expressed high levels of satisfaction with the intervention and increased their scores on diabetes-related knowledge. Conflicts with work and family responsibilities were the main barriers for missing health lessons, likely contributing to minimal weight loss. There was good fidelity in program implementation. Intensive lifestyle modification programs are difficult to sustain once the program is complete. A more structured 6-month follow-up phase may have provided needed support to enable participants to maintain their lifestyle changes.

To evaluate the health information literacy (HIL) level and influencing factors among digital immigrants in rural China and to investigate their obstacles of online health information seeking. Cross-sectional study. Digital immigrants aged 45 to 65 in rural China. Self-assessment questionnaires and a semi-structured interview were developed to measure HIL among 1,132 participants. Nonparametric tests and multiple linear regression were employed to explain the influencing factors. The HIL level of digital immigrants is low. Age, education level, and experience of Internet use impacted their HIL. Digital immigrants primarily accessed the Internet via mobile terminals, but their poor information skills, their lack of HIL education, and the low readability of online health information are major barriers of online health information seeking. Although respondents recognized the positive effects of health-related information on health promotion, their abilities to seek, evaluate, and apply health information were weak. The government should incorporate HIL into the national health literacy promotion program and strengthen legislative supervision of online health information.

Numerous studies have been published heralding the benefits of physical education in school education. Sport and physical activities form the major content in learning and the arrangement serves as the major source of development in students. This paper identifies "quality" as an internationally concerned issue and within the concept, the perceptual framework in learning is then placed with focus. To conduct this study, a sample of N = 799 ("11 Asian cities") physical education professionals working in different levels were invited to participate in a questionnaire survey with 37 items designed to forge the conceptualization of quality learning in physical education. Results from statistical analysis showed 24 items grouped in 3 subfactors being retained after EFA, of 37 items that were framed through content analysis to assess the quality physical education learning among the PE professionals. The retained three factors from the EFA were further assessed with robust confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The 3-factor model demonstrated a good fit with the data (CMIN/DF = 7.367, NFI = 0.888, CFI = 0.901, PCFI = 0.748, RMSEA = 0.089). In this sample, the QPEL demonstrated an acceptable three-factor structure, internal consistency and inter-factor correlation. These items were appropriate to provide the necessary understanding of the diversified practice in the learning of quality physical education.

Antitobacco advertisement components, including types of messages and advertising appeals, have not been evaluated among multinational groups. This study identified and compared the content of antismoking video ads across three countries. We reviewed 86 antismoking video advertisements for the following information: severity of the consequences of smoking, types of risks, appeals to audiences' self-efficacy, benefits of not smoking, targeted social-ecological level and types of message appeal used. Two researchers independently coded each advertisement with an average inter-coder reliability of 0.79. Analyses showed a variety of focuses: smoking-related health risks (86%), severe consequences of smoking (54.7%), self-efficacy beliefs (40.7%) and benefits of not smoking (84.9%). Compared to the United States and Taiwanese ads, Chinese ads were more likely to target at the community level (10% versus 23.3% versus 47.2%). Additionally, 55% of the United States ads used the fear approach, whereas 61.1% of Chinese ads used the social approach. Taiwanese ads were evenly distributed among both approaches. In conclusion, the countries used different targeting strategies and approaches during message delivery. Although China's neighboring country, Taiwan, has many similar cultural aspects, including the same language, they are greatly influenced by US antitobacco campaigns. As a result, Taiwan's tobacco campaigns appear to have similar components to both China and the United States. Further research is warranted to understand the reasons for each method and to examine the effectiveness of the ads in reducing smoking rates.

This study was the first of its kind in China to examine early childhood education experts' perspectives on the urgent educational needs of preschool-aged children. Twenty-one nationally and regionally recognized experts, including university professors, practitioners and government officials, participated in interviews. They offered critical evaluations of early educational needs, pointing out the difficulties in socializing young children in the context of dramatic socioeconomic changes, the country's single-child policy, labor migration in urbanization, and other societal forces. This study adopted a conceptual framework from cultural anthropology to present and interpret the experts' perspectives in terms of the survival, economic and cultural goals of socialization. The experts' perspectives suggest that early Chinese socialization should emphasize health, the acquisition of healthy habits, the development of well-socialized personalities, skills for future economic success, and the preservation of cultural beliefs and values, especially Chinese cultural emotions. These experts' explanations constitute a call for adaptive early Chinese socialization and parenting, and offer a widely shared Chinese response to complex societal transformation in globalization.

Chinese family is a patriarchal power system. How the system influences young mothers' agency in managing family men's smoking is unknown. Applying a gender lens, this ethnographic study explored how mothers of young children in Chinese extended families reacted to men's smoking. The study sample included 29 participants from 22 families. Semi-structured interviews and field observations were transcribed and analysis was conducted using open coding and constant comparison. The findings indicate that young mothers' interventions to reduce family men's home smoking were mediated by gendered relationships between the mothers and the smokers. The mothers could directly confront their husbands' smoking, although they were more conservative about their men's smoking in the presence of other family smokers. They experienced difficulty in directly confronting senior family men's smoking but found ways to skirt patriarchal constraints, either by persuading seniors to stop smoking in subtle ways, or more importantly, by using other non-smoking family members as "mediators" to influence senior men's smoking. While future smoking cessation interventions should support mothers in protecting their children from tobacco smoke, the interventions should also include other family members who are in a better power position, particularly the grandparents of the children, to reduce home smoking.

After successful pilot projects, Zhejiang Province, China, decided to systematically scale-up health promoting schools (HPS) over the entire province of 47 million. This study describes the interventions and self-reported changes in attitudes, knowledge and behavior during the first phase of scaling-up. Group interviews were conducted with a sample of 191 participants (school administrators, teachers, students and parents) from nine schools with a total of [image omitted]15200 students. Grounded theory guided data analysis. Schools implemented all HPS components (school health policy, physical school environment, psychosocial school environment, health education, health services, nutrition services, counseling/mental health, physical exercise, health promotion for staff and outreach to families and communities), adapted to local circumstances. Participants reported a range of changes in attitudes (paying more attention to health, attaining better "psychological quality" and confidence, forming friendships between teachers and students and feeling more relaxed), knowledge and concepts (increasing knowledge about various health issues, developing a broader concept of health and gaining better understanding about the HPS concept) and behavior (actively participating, increasing physical activity, improving sanitary habits, reducing or quitting smoking, eating more nutritiously, increasing safety behavior, sustaining less injuries and improving parent-child communication). This paper reports results from a "natural experiment" taking place in China on the impact of dogs on owners' health. Previous Western research has reported modest health benefits, but results have remained controversial. In China pets were banned in urban areas until 1992. Since then dog ownership has grown quite rapidly in the major cities, especially among younger women. In these quasi-experimental conditions, we hypothesise that dog ownership will show greater health benefits than in the West. Results are given from a survey of women aged 25-40 in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou (N = 3031). Half the respondents owned dogs and half did not. Owners reported better health-related outcomes. They exercised more frequently, slept better, had higher self-reported fitness and health, took fewer days off sick from work and were seen less by doctors. The concluding section indicates how these results may be integrated and suggests further research on the potential economic benefits of pets.

The focus of this issue is to provide an international perspective on the status of school health in 16 different countries as well as issues and trends in different international settings. Background: Methamphetamine use disorder (MUD) is a global health problem. Studies have shown Tai Chi is a potential treatment for MUD. We aimed to explore the effectiveness of Tai Chi in improving drug cravings, attention bias, and physical fitness in men with MUD compared with aerobic exercise. Methods: A total of forty-eight participants (mean age 39.1 ± 8.7 years) were randomly assigned to either the Tai Chi group (TC) or the running group (RG). The TC performed 60 min of moderate-intensity (65–75% HRmax) Tai Chi exercise three times a week. The RG performed 60 min of moderate-intensity (65–75% HRmax) running on a treadmill three times a week. Before and after the intervention, drug cravings, attention bias, and physical fitness were evaluated. Results: After 12 weeks, we found the TC significantly improved in attention bias (F (1, 43) = 6.023, p = 0.019, d = −0.42) and reaction time (F (1, 43) = 6.181, p = 0.017, d = −0.72). No significant improvement was found in other variables in the TC, compared to the RG (p > 0.05). Conclusions: The 12-week Tai Chi intervention improved attention bias and reaction time, compared to RG. Tai Chi exercise might be a potential auxiliary method for the rehabilitation for men with MUD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Patient safety (PS) is a core competency for registered nurses. However, there is a gap between the PS competence of nursing students and their clinical experience in PS. This study explored the effect of PS competence levels on the occurrence of adverse events (AEs) among nursing master's students in China. Methods: A sequential mixed methods design was used, with a purposive sample across seven colleges. A total of 327 graduate nursing students, aged 22 to 38, participated in the survey, and 15 participated in qualitative interviews. The Health Professional Education in Patient Safety Survey (H-PEPSS) assessed the students' competence levels in PS. The respondents also reported any AEs that they had been involved in over the past year. Results: A total of 78 AEs occurred in the past year, with 17.7% of the participants involved 1 to 3 AEs. The most common AEs were medication administration errors (30.77%) and improper use of medical equipment/supplies (28.20%). Students acquired more competencies from the clinical setting than from the classroom setting. Three competencies learned from classroom settings were associated with clinical AEs: low clinical safety skills [OR = 0.61], inappropriate identify, response to and disclosing AE and close calls [OR = 0.454], and low confidence in working in teams with other health professionals [OR = 2.168]. Qualitative data analysis revealed five themes: recognizing AEs, reducing harm by addressing immediate risks to patients and others involved, promoting safe medication and clinical practice, managing members' authority and team dynamics, and dealing with inter-professional conflict. The widespread availability of vaccines has profound implications for sustainable public health. Positive recommendation on vaccination is one of the most effective ways to increase the willingness to vaccinate against COVID-19. This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the intentions to recommend COVID-19 vaccination for specific groups (IRCVSG) and the intentions to recommend COVID-19 vaccination for non-specific groups (IRCVNSG) in China and explore the mediating role of vaccine hesitancy and perception of vaccination information. This study conducted a cross-sectional anonymous online survey of adults (N = 903) in 28 provincial-level administrative regions in China in May 2022. The prevalence of IRCVSG and IRCVNSG was 60.5% and 93.0%, respectively. Health information literacy has a significant direct and indirect impact on IRCVSG through safety hesitancy and the perceived adequacy and usefulness of vaccination information. The relationship between health information literacy and IRCVNSG is entirely mediated via hesitation about the effectiveness and perceived usefulness of vaccination information. Special attention should be paid to the safety hesitation of COVID-19 vaccination for specific groups. This study tests these effects from both theoretical and practical perspectives, helping to address barriers to promoting the vaccination of specific groups for COVID-19 in clinical practice, improving health and sustainability. Background: Physical activities play an important role in alleviating the aging problem and improving the physical fitness of middle-aged and elderly people. Blood flow restriction (BFR) training, also known as pressure training, has been widely used to improve athletes' performance and rehabilitation, which is a relatively novel exercise method for improving the physical fitness of middle-aged and elderly people. The purpose of this study is to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of domestic and foreign randomized controlled trial studies on BFR training for middle-aged and elderly women, further explore the impact of BFR training on health status. Methods: Meta-analysis was performed according to PRISMA standards, and charts were drawn using Review Manager 5.4 and Stata 17 software. In this study, the keywords such as "pressure training", "blood restriction training", "elderly women", "KAATSU", "blood flow restriction training" were used on CNKI, China Science and Technology Journal Database, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EBSCO, Scopus, and randomized controlled trials were searched in all languages. The search was performed from the establishment of database to 2 January 2024. The results of the combined effect were represented by standard mean differences. Results: Among the 681 literature retrieved, six eligible English articles were included in this meta-analysis. The overall effect test of the combined effect was performed on 10 groups of data, and the results were SMD = -0.18 (95% CI: -0.91 to 0.56; p > 0.05), the maximum dynamic force of 1RM SMD = 0.97 (95%CI: 0.35 to 1.58; p < 0.05), leg compression force SMD = -0.10 (95%CI: -0.78 to 0.57; p > 0.05), heart rate SMD = 0.33 (95%CI: -2.50 to 3.17; p > 0.05), systolic blood pressure (SBP) SMD = -1.44 (95%CI: -2.17 to -0.70; p < 0.05), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) SMD = -0.69 (95% CI: 2.54 to 1.15; p > 0.05). Conclusion: BFR training had a significant effect on the increase of the maximum dynamic force of 1RM and decrease of blood pressure in middle-aged and elderly women, but there was no significant difference found in heart rate and leg compression force. Background: The mental health inequality between migrants and non-migrants was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Identifying key determinants of this inequality is essential in promoting health equity. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited Shanghai residents by purposive sampling during the city-wide lockdown (from April 29 to June 1, 2022) using an online questionnaire. Migration statuses (non-migrants, permanent migrants, and temporary migrants) were identified by migration experience and by household registration in Shanghai. Mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, loneliness, and problematic anger) were assessed by self-report scales. The nonlinear Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition was used to quantify mental health inequality (i.e., differences in predicted probabilities between migration groups) and the contribution of expected correlates (i.e., change in predicted probability associated with variation in the correlate divided by the group difference). Results: The study included 2738 participants (771 [28.2%] non-migrants; 389 [14.2%] permanent migrants; 1578 [57.6%] temporary migrants). We found inequalities in depression (7.1%) and problematic anger (7.8%) between permanent migrants and non-migrants, and inequalities in anxiety (7.3%) and loneliness (11.3%) between temporary migrants and non-migrants. When comparing permanent migrants and non-migrants, age and social capital explained 12.7% and 17.1% of the inequality in depression, and 13.3% and 21.4% of the inequality in problematic anger. Between temporary migrants and non-migrants, age and social capital also significantly contributed to anxiety inequality (23.0% and 18.2%) and loneliness inequality (26.5% and 16.3%), while monthly household income (20.4%) and loss of monthly household income (34.0%) contributed the most to anxiety inequality. Conclusions: Significant inequalities in depression and problematic anger among permanent migrants and inequalities in anxiety and loneliness among temporary migrants were observed. Perioperative pulmonary rehabilitation may effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications and improve the quality of life of lung cancer patients and its clinical application value in lung cancer patients has been widely recognized. However, there is still no international consensus or guideline for pulmonary rehabilitation regimen, lacking standardized criteria when pulmonary rehabilitation applied in perioperative clinical practice for lung cancer. The consensus provides implementation regimen and process of pulmonary rehabilitation, aiming to promote the reasonable and standardized application of perioperative pulmonary rehabilitation training in clinical practice, sequentially enable patients to maximize benefits from the rehabilitation. The proportion of women engaging in insufficient physical activity is higher than that of men, and they may face greater barriers. Fitness apps, as effective tools for behavior change, can significantly promote active physical activity among women. Notably, women constitute over 60% of fitness app users. However, few studies have focused on the reasons behind the continuous use of fitness apps by female users. This study investigates the impact of different perceived values on the satisfaction and continuance intention of female fitness app users. A total of 395 female fitness app users from Guangzhou, China, participated in this study. The results indicate that hedonic value (β = 0.190, p < 0.001), utilitarian value (β = 0.171, p = 0.007), and health value (β = 0.440, p < 0.001) significantly and positively influence the satisfaction of female fitness app users. However, only utilitarian value (β = 0.135, p = 0.018) and health value (β = 0.436, p < 0.001) have a significant positive impact on the continuance intention, while hedonic value (β = 0.028, p = 0.547) does not. Additionally, satisfaction mediates the relationship between utilitarian and health values and continuance intention. Therefore, the design of fitness apps should prioritize helping female users achieve utilitarian and health values rather than overemphasizing hedonic-value-related content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Under the backdrop of global aging, the escalating number of elderly individuals in poor health poses a growing social burden and impacts economic development and social stability. A fundamental question arises as to whether the advancements of digital finance (DF) can effectively enhance the physical health of the elderly. This study aims to investigate the impact of DF on the physical health of the elderly by utilizing data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) conducted in 2013, 2015, and 2018. The results reveal a significant positive impact of DF on enhancing the physical health of the elderly. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that this impact is particularly pronounced among the elderly with higher educational attainment, stronger intergenerational links, and those residing in central cities. A mechanism analysis further reveals that DF contributes to improving the physical health of the elderly by augmenting household disposable income, alleviating liquidity constraints, and enhancing the utilization of medical services. INTRODUCTION The rapid growth of e-cigarette usage among youth and young people has emerged as a significant public health concern. It is imperative to initiate effective vaping prevention campaigns and undertake relevant research to address this pressing issue. This research seeks to identify effective video advertisements to deter young people from starting to use e-cigarettes. It aims to offer evidence-based insights and recommendations for creating communication materials and designing messages for youth e-cigarette prevention efforts. METHODS College students aged 18-24 years (n=40) participated in focus groups within this qualitative study. After viewing four stimulus videos, participants discussed what they perceived as effective and ineffective video characteristics, as well as suggestions for future videos. RESULTS Effective video characteristics included the use of real-life testimonials, displaying specific health hazards, revealing harmful chemical ingredients and the deceptive nature of flavors, and positively perceived effectiveness. Participants generally found that videos with strong visual impact and graphics were more engaging and that approaches using fear and emotion were more effective. Ineffective characteristics included complex and exaggerated information, lack of empathy and irrelevance, insufficiently specific information, extreme and death-themed content, industry messages, as well as preachy tones, animations, metaphors, dull formats, excessive length, and scenes of e-cigarette use. CONCLUSIONS Developing anti-e-cigarette campaign materials for youth necessitates target audience-focused qualitative research. This helps in deeply exploring and identifying effective themes and messages, as well as video characteristics and details while avoiding ineffective or even misleading messages and themes from young people's perspectives outside the United States. Future development of e-cigarette prevention videos for Chinese college students may consider incorporating localized real-life testimonial cases to convey specific harms, including self-efficacy information, and utilizing fear and emotional appeals. Tobacco consumption in China remains the primary cause of preventable mortality, with Shanghai being particularly affected by issues related to secondhand smoke exposure. This study explores the role of the public service hotline 12345, a grassroots initiative in Shanghai, in capturing public sentiment and assessing the effectiveness of anti-smoking regulations. Our research aims to accurately and deeply understand the implementation and feedback of smoking control policies: by identifying high-frequency points and prominent issues in smoking control work based on the smoking control work order data received by the health hotline 12320. The results of this study will assist government enforcement agencies in improving smoking monitoring and clarify the direction for improving smoking control measures. Text-mining techniques were employed to analyze a dataset comprising 78011 call sheets, all related to tobacco control and collected from the hotline between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2019. This methodological approach aims to uncover prevalent themes and sentiments in the public discourse on smoking and its regulation, as reflected in the hotline interactions. Our study identified hotspots and the issues of greatest concern to citizens. Additionally, it provided recommendations to enforcement agencies to enhance their capabilities, optimize the allocation of human resources for smoking control monitoring, reduce enforcement costs and support for anti-smoking campaigns, thereby contributing to more effective tobacco control policies in the region. This study aimed to determine the predictors of HPL in renal transplant recipients using the Chinese Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP). Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled renal transplant recipients completing the revised Chinese HPLP at organ transplant center in a tertiary hospital in Hunan Province of China between May 2022 and July 2022. Results: A total of 450 patients were included, comprising 256 males (56.9%), with a mean age of 44.85 ± 10.57 years. The mean score of self-actualization, health responsibility, interpersonal support, physical activity, stress management, nutrition, and overall HPLP were 15.27 ± 5.03 (possible range: 0– 24), 11.41 ± 4.18 (possible range: 0– 24), 11.61 ± 3.13 (possible range: 0– 18), 7.53 ± 3.79 (possible range: 0– 18), 12.68 ± 3.61 (possible range: 0– 21), 11.17 ± 2.41 (possible range: 0– 15), and 69.66 ± 16.98 (possible range: 0– 120), respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that urban residence (OR = 2.061, 95% CI: 1.350– 3.148, P = 0.001), non-smoking after transplantation (OR = 2.010, 95% CI: 1.123– 3.600, P = 0.019) and two post-transplant complications (OR=0.387, 95% CI: 0.218– 0.689, P = 0.001). Conclusion: Although renal transplant recipients exhibit a moderate level of HPL, targeted interventions are essential to improve these behaviors. These interventions should focus especially on individuals from rural households, post-transplant smokers, and those experiencing post-transplant complications, to enhance their quality of life and clinical outcomes. Based on the 2017 data from the China General Social Survey (CGSS), the conditional process analysis method was used to explore the relationship between physical exercise and subjective well-being, as well as the mediating effect of social capital and the moderating effect of Internet use. This study found that the effect of physical exercise on subjective well-being includes both direct effects and indirect effects. Physical exercise directly and positively affects SWB and partially affects SWB through social networks as a mediating variable. Additionally, Internet use can moderate the direct effect of physical exercise on SWB and the mediating effect of social networks on the relationship between the two. As the frequency of Internet use increases, the link between physical exercise and social capital weakens, resulting in a decreased promotion effect on SWB. The results of this study further reveal the internal mechanism linking physical exercise and the improvement of SWB, which is of great significance for enhancing the accessibility of physical exercise facilities and promoting a healthy online lifestyle, ultimately leading to improved well-being among residents. Background: Regulatory actions are increasingly used to tackle issues such as excessive alcohol or sugar intake, but such actions to reduce sedentary behaviour remain scarce. World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on sedentary behaviour call for system-wide policies. The Chinese government introduced the world's first nation-wide multi-setting regulation on multiple types of sedentary behaviour in children and adolescents in July 2021. This regulation restricts when (and for how long) online gaming businesses can provide access to pupils; the amount of homework teachers can assign to pupils according to their year groups; and when tutoring businesses can provide lessons to pupils. We evaluated the effect of this regulation on sedentary behaviour safeguarding pupils. Methods: With a natural experiment evaluation design, we used representative surveillance data from 9- to 18-year-old pupils before and after the introduction of the regulation, for longitudinal (n = 7,054, matched individuals, primary analysis) and repeated cross-sectional (n = 99,947, exploratory analysis) analyses. We analysed pre-post differences for self-reported sedentary behaviour outcomes (total sedentary behaviour time, screen viewing time, electronic device use time, homework time, and out-of-campus learning time) using multilevel models, and explored differences by sex, education stage, residency, and baseline weight status. Results: Longitudinal analyses indicated that pupils had reduced their mean total daily sedentary behaviour time by 13.8% (95% confidence interval [CI]: -15.9 to -11.7%, approximately 46 min) and were 1.20 times as likely to meet international daily screen time recommendations (95% CI: 1.01 to 1.32) one month after the introduction of the regulation compared to the reference group (before its introduction). They were on average 2.79 times as likely to meet the regulatory requirement on homework time (95% CI: 2.47 to 3.14) than the reference group and reduced their daily total screen-viewing time by 6.4% (95% CI: -9.6 to -3.3%, approximately 10 min). The positive effects were more pronounced among high-risk groups (secondary school and urban pupils who generally spend more time in sedentary behaviour) than in low-risk groups (primary school and rural pupils who generally spend less time in sedentary behaviour). The exploratory analyses showed comparable findings. Conclusions: This regulatory intervention has been effective in reducing total and specific types of sedentary behaviour among Chinese children and adolescents, with the potential to reduce health inequalities. Aim: This Study Aimed to Assess the Intention to Have a Third Child among Millennial Parents (25–40 years old) with Two Children in a City in Eastern China and to Explore the Influencing Factors Related to Fertility Intention. Design: A cross‐sectional design study. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to enrol participants of childbearing age who visited two tertiary hospitals in Hang zhou, a city in eastern China, from June 2021 to March 2022. We conducted a face‐to‐face questionnaire survey with 520 participants and calculated the prevalence of intention‐related factors. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyse the independent influencing factors of fertility intention. Results: In total, 105 (20.2%) participants had the intention to have a third child. The results showed that 'employment status', 'age', 'reasons for wanting a third child', the considered 'biggest barrier to having a third child', 'views on the three‐child policy', 'desired free services', 'supporting work policies' and 'assistance policies' were significant independent influencing factors of intention to have a third child (p‐value < 0.05). The intention of the participants 'over 30 years old' was 2.466 times that of those '30 years old and under', and 'older age/personal health status' was considered the 'biggest barrier to having a third child'. Regarding policy and social reasons, the participants who need 'medical assistance' policy negatively affect the intention to have a third child (OR = 0.453, 95% CI = 0.247–0.830). Implications for Healthcare/Nursing: Nursing plays an important role in health promotion. Nurses can help couples make wise decisions about fertility by providing professional consultation, education, evaluation and support. They can also provide corresponding nursing and guidance to improve couples' health quality and overall reproductive success. Conclusions: The general level of intention to have a third child of Millennial parents with two children is still low. The participants who are 'housewives/househusbands', 'over 30 years old', and satisfied with the state of 'medical assistance' have higher fertility intentions. The aging problem is becoming more and more prominent globally. Attention to the quality of life and related health improvement among the elderly has become an important issue in modern society. This study utilized a tracking survey conducted in 2017-2018, involving 9,327 Chinese older adults, to examine health influencing factors, and applied structural equation modeling to analyze the influencing factors on the self-assessment of life satisfaction among older adults in different regions (cities, counties, and villages) in China. This study revealed that economic status, psychological status, personal situation, life behaviors, and child care are important influences on older people'sself- assessed life satisfaction. There is a positive correlation between economic status, psychological status, child care and the results of the self-assessment of life satisfaction of the elderly. Psychological status and child care have a greater impact on the self-assessment of life satisfaction among the elderly in urban areas compared to villages and towns. The influence of economic status on the self-assessment of life satisfaction of the elderly is lower in urban areas than in rural areas. There is a significant difference in the influence of personal situations on the self-assessment of life satisfaction among the elderly. Additionally, older individuals tend to report higher levels of self-assessment of life satisfaction. Furthermore, female elderly individuals tend to report higher levels of satisfaction compared to males. Findings from this study indicate that improving health self-assessment in older adults requires targeted efforts based on different geographic areas of life and the age stages of older adults, and more attention needs to be paid to men who are just entering old age. Objectives: To gain insight into the perceptions, and beliefs of patients with advanced cancer coping with chronic pain and to identify their attitudes and demands on pain management. Methods: From July to September 2022, 17 patients with advanced cancer living with chronic pain were recruited from a tertiary cancer hospital in Hunan Province, China. Qualitative and semi-structured interviews were conducted individually, with 30-45 minutes for each. The Colaizzi 7-step analysis method in phenomenological research was used for data analysis. Results: The experience of pain acceptance by advanced cancer patients with chronic pain was summarized into four themes: pain catastrophizing (unable to ignore the pain, try various methods to relieve the pain, exaggerating pain perception, and lack of knowledge about proper pain management), rumination (compulsive rumination and worrying rumination), avoidance coping (situational avoidance and repressive avoidance) and constructive action (setting clear value goal and taking reciprocal action). Conclusion: Most patients with advanced cancer had low pain acceptance and negative attitudes. Feeling helpless in the face of pain and suffering alone were their norm. Long-term negative emotions could lead to gradual depression and loss of hope for treatment, resulting in pain catastrophizing and persistent rumination. Nevertheless, a few patients accepted pain with positive attitudes. Medical professionals should pay more attention to the psychological status of advanced cancer patients with chronic pain, and employ alternative therapies, for example, cognitive behavioral therapy. Aim: To explore factors promoting and hindering resilience in youth with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) based on Kumpfer's resilience framework. Design: A descriptive qualitative study design with an interpretative approach was used. Methods: Participants consisted of 10 youths with IBD from a tertiary hospital in Beijing (China) recruited using the purposive sampling method. Data were collected by semi‐structured interviews from December 2020 to March 2021. The directed content analysis was performed for data analysis. Results: Both promoting factors and hindering factors could be divided into personal factors and environmental factors. Thirteen themes were identified. The promoting factors included acceptance of illness, strict self‐management, previous treatment experience, life goals, family support, medical support and peer encouragement. Stigma, lack of communication, negative cognition, societal incomprehension, economic pressure and academic and employment pressure were hindering factors. Conclusion: Health care professionals need to develop greater awareness of factors, stemming from both the individual and the outside world, that hinder or promote resilience in order to aid young patients with IBD. To alleviate the growth inhibition, and intestinal damage of Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) induced by low fishmeal diets (LF), an 8-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the addition of dietary soybean-derived bioactive peptides (SBP) in LF diets on the regulation of growth, digestion and intestinal health. The crabs were fed isonitrogenous and isoenergetic conventional diet and LF diets (10 % fishmeal replaced by soybean meal, LF) supplemented with 0, 1 %, 2 %, 4 % and 6 % SBP, respectively. The results showed that LF diet inhibited growth while inclusion of SBP quadratically remitted the growth inhibition induced by LF. For digestive function, increasing addition level of SBP quadratically improved the α -amylase and trypsin activities. For antioxidant function, LF group significantly increased the malondialdehyde content, while SBP linearly decreased the malondialdehyde level and cubically increased the anti-superoxide anion activity and total antioxidant capacity level. For intestinal health, the peritrophic membrane (PM) almost completely separated from the inner wall of the intestinal lumen, the epithelial cells reduced, the muscularis became thinner and the apoptotic signals increased in LF group; with SBP addition, the intestinal morphology was improved, with the PM adhering to the inner wall of the intestinal lumen, an increase in the number of epithelial cells and an increase in the thickness of the muscularis. Additionally, there was a decrease in apoptotic signals. Dietary SBP also increased the expression of PT and Crustin1 quadratically and decreased the expression of ALF1 linearly, ALF3 and ILF2 quadratically. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The construction of the ordered health delivery system in China aims to enhance equity and optimize the efficient use of medical resources by rationally allocating patients to different levels of medical institutions based on the severity of their condition. However, superior hospitals have been overcrowded, and primary healthcare facilities have been underutilized in recent years. China has developed a new case-based payment method called "Diagnostic Intervention Package" (DIP). The government is trying to use this economic lever to encourage medical institutions to actively assume treatment tasks consistent with their functional positioning and service capabilities. Methods: This study takes Tai'an, a DIP pilot city, as a case study and uses an interrupted time series analysis to analyze the impact of DIP reform on the case severity and service scope of medical institutions at different levels. Results: The results show that after the DIP reform, the proportion of patients receiving complicated procedures (tertiary hospitals: β3 = 0.197, P < 0.001; secondary hospitals: β3 = 0.132, P = 0.020) and the case mix index (tertiary hospitals: β3 = 0.022, P < 0.001; secondary hospitals: β3 = 0.008, P < 0.001) in tertiary and secondary hospitals increased, and the proportion of primary-DIP-groups cases decreased (tertiary hospitals: β3 = -0.290, P < 0.001; secondary hospitals: β3 = -1.200, P < 0.001), aligning with the anticipated policy objectives. However, the proportion of patients receiving complicated procedures (β3 = 0.186, P = 0.002) and the case mix index (β3 = 0.002, P < 0.001) in primary healthcare facilities increased after the reform, while the proportion of primary-DIP-groups cases (β3 = -0.515, P = 0.005) and primary-DIP-groups coverage (β3 = -2.011, P < 0.001) decreased, which will reduce the utilization efficiency of medical resources and increase inequity. Conclusion: The DIP reform did not effectively promote the construction of the ordered health delivery system. INTRODUCTION Smoking prevalence is high in China, and healthcare workers are important for tobacco control. This study aimed to determine the smoking status, cognition of tobacco hazards, and smoking cessation-related knowledge among respiratory healthcare workers, and to explore their ability to provide smoking cessation assistance. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted in 2021 among 1028 respiratory healthcare workers from 89 hospitals in Fujian Province, China. A self-designed electronic questionnaire was used to collect data on smoking status, knowledge of smoking hazards, and smoking cessation knowledge. Descriptive statistics were calculated for all questions. Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between awareness of the tobacco control goals of Healthy China 2030 and demographic characteristics. RESULTS Among the healthcare workers surveyed, 3.4% were smokers, all of whom were male. Most respondents (99.4%) were aware of smoking as a cause of lung cancer, but awareness of smoking as a cause of non-respiratory cancer was lower. The awareness rate of smoking cessation support was high (>90%), but only 40.0% of participants were aware of the Healthy China 2030 tobacco control targets. Male (HR=2.16; 95% CI: 1.69-2.80) and participation in the cessation clinic (HR=1.47; 95% CI: 1.10-1.96) were associated with higher awareness of the targets. CONCLUSIONS Respiratory healthcare workers in Fujian Province demonstrated a high level of awareness regarding behavioral and pharmacotherapy support for smoking cessation. In order to enable healthcare workers to play a more active role in tobacco control, there is a need to increase public awareness of smoking cessation services in Fujian Province. The Annual Report on Cardiovascular Health and Diseases in China (2022) intricate landscape of cardiovascular health in China. This is the third section of the report with a specific focus on community-based prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). This section of the report underscores the importance of initiatives outlined in the "Healthy China 2030 Plan," emphasizing the comprehensive prevention and control strategy for chronic diseases. A key aspect of this plan involves the establishment of national demonstration areas aimed at comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases. By 2020, 488 such areas had been set up across China, surpassing the initial target and covering a significant proportion of counties and districts. The report highlights the successful implementation of these strategies in Lishan district, Anshan city, where demonstration areas for comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases were launched in 2013. Over the course of seven years, the number of healthy units increased substantially, leading to improvements in managing risk factors for CVD among residents. Significant reductions in prevalence rates of overweight, obesity, smoking, passive smoking, and drinking were observed, along with the development of healthier behaviors among residents. Similarly, Qiaokou district in Wuhan City, designated as a national demonstration area in 2014, implemented comprehensive public health promotion initiatives. Notably, special clinics for hypertension intervention were established, contributing to an increase in self-reported rates of hypertension, a slight decrease in prevalence, and a remarkable improvement in the control rate among treated patients. Overall, these efforts underscore the effectiveness of community-based approaches in driving positive health outcomes and advancing the comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases, in China. Bladder cancer is a highly prevalent malignancy that presents significant difficulties in the management of wounds following surgery. The present study investigated the critical necessity to optimize wound healing techniques in patients undergoing bladder cancer surgery by contrasting conventional approaches with advanced modalities in order to promote recovery and mitigate complications. The study assessed the efficacy of conventional and advanced wound healing methods in these patients, taking into account the complex interaction of patient‐specific factors and surgical complexities. A cross‐sectional analysis was performed on 120 patients who underwent bladder cancer surgery at the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. In addition to medical record evaluations and direct wound assessments, patient interviews were utilized to gather information regarding demographics, surgical specifics, wound healing methodologies and postoperative results. Survival analysis and logistic regression were utilized in statistical analysis, with potential confounding variables such as age, comorbidities and type of surgery being accounted for. Advanced wound healing techniques, such as negative pressure wound therapy, tissue‐engineered products, bioactive dressings and platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), exhibited distinct advantage in comparison with conventional suturing. The aforementioned techniques, especially PRP, resulted in expedited wound healing, decreased rates of complications (p < 0.05) and enhanced secondary outcomes, including curtailed hospital stays and decreased rates of readmissions. PRP therapy, in particular, demonstrated significant improvements with the faster mean time to wound healing of 9 ± 2 days and lower complication incidence of 2 (6.7%) (p < 0.05), indicating its superior efficacy. A subgroup analysis revealed that younger patients, males and those undergoing laparoscopic surgery exhibited superior outcomes (p < 0.05). The results were further supported by logistic regression and Cox proportional hazards models, which further indicated that sophisticated techniques, notably PRP therapy with a hazard ratio of 3.00 (2.00–4.50) and adjusted odds ratio of 0.20 (0.09–0.43), were effective in improving postoperative recovery. The research clarified the significant advantages that advanced wound healing techniques offered in postoperative care of patients diagnosed with bladder cancer. Background: Pregnant nurses are at high risk of developing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and nurses diagnosed with GDM face challenges in balancing disease management and work, which affects maternal and child health and the quality of care. GDM requires significant changes to lifestyle and physical activity to control blood glucose levels, which is key to reducing adverse pregnancy outcomes. However, few studies have focused on the experiences of pregnant nurses with GDM. This study aimed to gain insight into the experiences of pregnant nurses with GDM in China in terms of their illness, work burdens, and self-care. Methods: This qualitative study used an interpretative phenomenological analysis. Face-to-face semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with pregnant nurses with GDM to investigate their experiences and self-care. The study was performed at Chongqing's maternal and child health hospital in China. A purposive sampling was used. Nine pregnant nurses diagnosed with GDM were recruited and interviewed. Results: The interview data generated four themes and 11 sub-themes. The four themes were 'the perceptions and feelings of GDM', 'experiences of lifestyle changes', 'social support needs', and 'health expectations and risk perception.' Conclusion: Many factors such as the unique occupational environment, overwork, occupational pressure, shift work, family status, and education level may lead to difficulties in managing blood glucose in nurses with GDM. These findings suggest that managers should pay more attention to nurses with GDM and develop personalized medical care and work arrangements. Aim: To identify the latent classes of a health‐promoting lifestyle and examine the associations of latent class profile with individual characteristics of breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy in China in order to provide some insights and recommendations for targeted and individualized health education of health‐promoting lifestyle. Design: A descriptive cross‐sectional survey design was used for this work. Methods: A total of 197 patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy recruited from the Breast Cancer Outpatient Chemotherapy Clinic of a Grade 3A hospital were surveyed. Health‐promoting lifestyle was measured using the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile‐II: Chinese Version Short (HPLP‐IICR). Latent class analysis was used to examine respondents' health‐promoting lifestyle patterns. Associations between the latent class membership and individual characteristics were examined using multinomial logistic regression. Results: Four latent classes were identified: Class 1–Good Nutrition and Poor Physical Activity, Class 2–Poor Health Responsibility and Nutrition, Class 3–Active Health‐Promoting Lifestyle, and Class 4–Medium Spiritual Growth and Poor Other Dimensions. Younger respondents and respondents with a higher score in anxiety and depression were more likely to be classified in Class 4 rather than Class 1 or 3. Respondents with low exercise self‐efficacy were more likely to be classified in Class 4 than the others. Respondents in Class 4 had more chemotherapy symptom severity and interference, and cases of menopause were fewer in Class 4 rather than Class 3. Low human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine uptake is a key barrier to cervical cancer elimination. We aimed to evaluate the health impact and cost-effectiveness of introducing different HPV vaccines into immunization programs and scaling up the screening program in Guangdong. We used a dynamic compartmental model to estimate the impact of intervention strategies during 2023–2100. We implemented the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) in costs per averted disability-adjusted life year (DALY) as an indicator to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. We used an age-standardized incidence of 4 cases per 100,000 women as the threshold for the elimination of cervical cancer. Compared with the status quo, scaling up cervical cancer screening coverage alone would prevent 215,000 (95% CI: 205,000 to 227,000) cervical cancer cases and 49,000 (95% CI: 48,000 to 52,000) deaths during 2023–2100. If the coverage of vaccination reached 90%, domestic two-dose 2vHPV vaccination would be more cost-effective than single-dose and two-dose 9vHPV vaccination. If Guangdong introduced domestic two-dose 2vHPV vaccination at 90% coverage for schoolgirls from 2023 and increased the screening coverage, cervical cancer would be eliminated by 2049 (95% CI 2047 to 2051). Introducing two doses of domestic 2vHPV vaccination for schoolgirls and expanding cervical cancer screening is estimated to be highly cost-effective to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer in Guangdong. Objectives: Psychological issues among adolescents represent a prevalent challenge in today's society. The purpose of this study is to explore the associations among moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, self-disclosure, social anxiety, and social avoidance in adolescents. Methods: This study collected cross-sectional data from 427 students in eight provincial key junior and senior high schools in the central China region of three provinces using snowball sampling and convenience sampling from July to August 2023. A structural equation model was employed to investigate the relationship between moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and social avoidance among adolescents. Results: The findings indicate that moderate-to-vigorous physical activity is negatively correlated with social anxiety (standardized coefficient = −0.219, p < 0.001) and positively correlated with self-disclosure (standardized coefficient = 0.454, p < 0.001). Social anxiety is negatively correlated with self-disclosure (standardized coefficient = −0.220, p < 0.001). Social avoidance is positively correlated with social anxiety (standardized coefficient = 0.461, p < 0.001) and negatively correlated with self-disclosure (standardized coefficient = −0.331, p < 0.001). Conclusions: The chain-mediated dual-path model between moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and social avoidance is facilitated by social anxiety and self-disclosure. In other words, adolescents who engage in more moderate to high-intensity physical activities exhibit lower levels of social anxiety, and those who have a stronger inclination for self-disclosure tend to demonstrate lower levels of social avoidance. In light of these findings, it is recommended that the government, society, schools, and families collaborate synergistically to promote the holistic well-being of adolescents and advance the development of a healthier China. Background: The large number of mildly disabled elderly people in China has resulted in the occupation of a large amount of public social resources. They have also imposed a serious social burden on the society. This study predicts that changes in the level coefficients of physical functioning, motor participation, and external environment are associated with quality of life (QoL) among the elderly with mild disabilities in nursing homes. Methods: A simulation model was created using the system dynamics method. Meanwhile, a 50-day simulation was used to predict the subsequent changes in the level of QoL of the elderly. This study was completed in the nursing homes of Chengdu, China, using random sampling and 85 elderly subjects participated to obtain the primary data. The data were analyzed using the Vensim software. Results: The results showed that the level of physical functioning (pain value of 0.241, autonomy of 0.163, and chronic disease of 0.192), the level of motor participation (education value of 0.186, and rehabilitation partner of 0.21), and the level of external environment (medical care value of 0.26, and rehabilitation environment value of 0.184) lead to subsequent changes in the level of QoL of mildly disabled elderly in nursing homes in 30 days. Conclusion: Considering the results of this simulation study, changes in the level of physical functioning, exercise participation, and external environment could forecast the QoL of mildly disabled elderly in the nursing homes of Chania, China. Background: The total number of elderly patients with hypertension in China has been increasing year by year, it is necessary to adopt simple and valid measures to evaluate the health status of elderly patients with hypertension to reduce the heavy burden faced by this group. Method: This study is a cross-sectional analysis. Participants aged at least 65 years were included. Self-Rated Health (SRH) assessment of respondents was classified into two groups: participants who responded as "very good" and "good" were considered as having good SRH, and participants who answered as "average," "poor," and "very poor" were considered as having poor SRH. Chi-square tests were used to determine differences in patient characteristics between the two groups. Binary logistic regression models were used to identify factors associated with SRH. Results: The results of the logistic regression analysis indicated that having a spouse, better economic status, exercise, eating fruits and vegetables, nighttime sleep of 7 to 9 hours, good living environment, interaction with friends, and hypertension with comorbidity such as diabetes mellitus, heart disease, stroke or hyperlipidemia were influencing factors of SRH (P < .05). Another finding was that alcohol use significantly affected SRH (P < .05). Depression, anxiety, and community nursing services did not figure as determinants of health in this group. Background: By investigating the knowledge, medication, occurrence of complications, and risks among elderly non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients in Shanghai communities, and providing standardized comprehensive management and follow-up, we aim to explore the impact of standardized community management on improving disease awareness, standardizing atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment, reducing the risk of complications occurrence, and addressing risk factors for AF patients. Methods: This research selected elderly atrial fibrillation patients from Zhuanqiao Community Health Service Center, Minhang District, Shanghai from July 2020 to October 2022. Their personal health records and examination results were reviewed, and the incidence of AF, awareness, medication, and complications were investigated. Age-adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index (aCCI), CHA2DS2-VASc score, and HAS-BLED score were used to evaluate disease burden, thromboembolic risk, and bleeding risk, respectively. The patients were subjected to standardized community management, and the compliance rate of disease awareness, treatment, resting heart rate, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, and body mass index (BMI) were assessed at the baseline, 6 months and 1 year after management. Results: A total of 243 NVAF patients were included, with an average aCCI score of (4.5 ± 1.1). Among them, 28% of the patients were aware of their AF, and 18.1% of the patients were aware of the hazards of AF. Of the patients, 11.9% used anticoagulant drugs, including 6.6% and 5.3% for warfarin and non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs), respectively. 7% of patients used antiplatelet drugs. 26.7% of the patients used heart rate control drugs. 10.3% of the patients experienced thromboembolic events, and 0.8% of the patients experienced bleeding events. 93.0% of the patients were at high risk of thromboembolism, and 24.7% of the patients were at high risk of bleeding. Compared with the baseline, there were significant statistical differences (P < 0.001) in disease awareness, awareness of the hazards of AF, use of anticoagulant drugs and heart rate control drugs, and control of risk factors among NVAF patients after standardized community management. Moreover, with the extension of management time, there was a linear increase in the awareness of NVAF, awareness of the hazards of AF, utilization rate of anticoagulant drugs, utilization rate of heart rate control drugs, blood pressure, blood glucose, and BMI compliance rate (P < 0.001). Conclusion: Currently, the awareness, treatment, and control of risk factors for AF in elderly NVAF patients in Shanghai community are not satisfactory. We developed a model for promoting adolescent physical and mental health (MH) to investigate the integrated pathways of physical activity (PA), MH, general self-efficacy (GSE), and sleep duration (SD) promotion among adolescents in China. The research hypotheses were tested using questionnaires, descriptive statistics, and validated factor analysis. The mean age of the respondents was 14.94 ± 1.76 years, the PA level was 2.49 [95% confidence interval (CI): 2.46–2.53], the GSE score was 2.60 (95% CI: 2.57–2.64), the SD was 436.52 min/day (95% CI: 432.89–440.15), and the total mean MH score was 1.72 (95% CI: 1.69–1.76) (model fitness index: χ2/df = 1.295, comparative fit index = 0.999, Tucker–Lewis index = 0.997, root mean square error of approximation = 0.014, standardized root mean square residual = 0.007). The SD accounted for 46.85% of the mediating effect. The adolescents exhibited moderately low PA levels, severe SD deficits, and high rates of overall MH abnormalities. Consequently, the constructed model for promoting adolescent physical health and MH was confirmed to be reliable; GSE and SD are significant factors mediating MH promotion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The rearranged during transfection (RET) gene is one of the receptor tyrosine kinases and cell‐surface molecules responsible for transmitting signals that regulate cell growth and differentiation. In non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), RET fusion is a rare driver gene alteration associated with a poor prognosis. Fortunately, two selective RET inhibitors (sRETi), namely pralsetinib and selpercatinib, have been approved for treating RET fusion NSCLC due to their remarkable efficacy and safety profiles. These inhibitors have shown the ability to overcome resistance to multikinase inhibitors (MKIs). Furthermore, ongoing clinical trials are investigating several second‐generation sRETis that are specifically designed to target solvent front mutations, which pose a challenge for first‐generation sRETis. The effective screening of patients is the first crucial step in the clinical application of RET‐targeted therapy. Currently, four methods are widely used for detecting gene rearrangements: next‐generation sequencing (NGS), reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Each of these methods has its advantages and limitations. To streamline the clinical workflow and improve diagnostic and treatment strategies for RET fusion NSCLC, our expert group has reached a consensus. Cardiovascular disease(CVD) has become a major disease burden affecting people's health in China. Blood vessels are very important for human health and are the "sentinel" for the development of many cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The key to effectively preventing fatal, disabling heart, brain and peripheral vascular events lies in controlling traditional and non-traditional risk factors for vascular health from the source, and early assessment and intervention of early vascular lesions. Since 2004, China government promoted the early detection technology of vascular lesions and vascular medicine, and proposed the Beijing Vascular Health Stratification (BVHS) to provide suggestions for the examination, evaluation and management of risk factors, and to provide new ideas for lifelong maintenance of vascular health. This review mainly introduces the establishment and development of the clinical discipline of "vascular medicine" in the past 20 years in China, introduces the indicators for detecting vascular function and structure and the predictive value of vascular events, and carries out intelligent and digital management of vascular health throughout the life cycle of individualized prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for people with different parts or degrees of lesions, effectively reducing the occurrence and development of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and the prospect of new technology in maintaining vascular health.
