As the main demand side of rural financial services, farmers' cooperatives are an important part of China's rural finance. However, due to the lack of effective collateral, farmers' cooperatives have problems such as difficulty in obtaining loans or expensive loans, which not only hinder the high-quality development of farmers' cooperatives, but also limit the development of regional rural finance. Digital credit as a new financing model can effectively alleviate the problems of difficult and expensive loans and has received wide attention from the government and academia. Based on this, this paper analyzes the digital credit behavior of farmers' cooperatives in detail by applying the "6C" family model to the grounded theory, and constructs a theoretical analysis model of farmers' cooperatives' digital credit behavior. The findings are as follows: The motivation for the digital credit of farmers' cooperatives is that the credit procedures are simple, the loan period is short, and the loan interest rate is low; the condition is the farmers' cooperative reputation advantage and government policy support,; the main form is the participation of cooperatives in short- and long-cycle digital credit; and the consequence is reflected in increasing the income of cooperative members, improving the availability of cooperative loans, promoting cooperative credit building, and achieving sustainable agricultural development. Different participation motivations have different effects on the form of credit. When motivated by simple credit procedures and short loan periods, farmers' cooperatives choose "Huinong e-loan"; when motivated by simple procedures and low loan interest rates, farmers' cooperatives choose "Funong Loan". Different forms of credit will produce different performances. Farmers' cooperatives choosing "Huinong e-loan" will produce economic performance; farmers' cooperatives choosing "Funong Loan" will produce economic performance and social performance. In order to deal with the problem of digital credit of farmers' cooperatives, the government needs to improve the relevant policies and regulations, reduce credit risks, and establish a sound credit system to provide credit guarantees for cooperatives and farmers. Several research efforts were dedicated to analysing the effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows on gross domestic product (GDP) and employment in the host economies. The variations in the conclusions signal that other variables influence and moderate the effects of FDI on GDP and employment. Institutional elements receive limited research attention, despite their influence on the host economies. This paper investigates the moderating role of institutional elements in the FDI-host economies on FDI’s effects on GDP and employment with China and India as case studies. The approach utilises three principal methodologies. The first methodology presents an in-depth analysis of China and India, highlighting selected institutional elements with the potential to influence FDI’s effects. The second methodology confirms the presence of a positive correlation between FDI and GDP and a negative correlation between FDI and employment-to-population ratio (EPR) in both China and India. The FDI, GDP purchasing power parity per capita, and EPR datasets are extracted from the World Bank – DataBank World Development Indicators to ensure the consistency of the data. The results of the quantitative analysis validate the qualitative analysis. The qualitative analysis confirms the moderating role of the selected institutional elements with variations in direction and strength. Significant variations in FDI’s effects on GDP and employment are strongly related to variations in the institutions of governance. The institutions of governance include the functionality of the state organs, the efficiency of the legal system and enforcement of the rule of law, and the quality of implementation of FDI-supportive policies. The findings aim to increase the absorption of the positive effects of FDI on GDP and employment in the respective countries. The research is a cornerstone of in-depth future research into the following areas: the role of selective FDI and constructive conditional FDI policies, the functionality of judicial authority controls, and FDI favourable exchange rates and interest rates policies. The novelty and contribution of the paper lie in its comprehensive exploration of the moderating role of institutional elements on the effects of FDI on GDP and employment in host economies, with a specific focus on China and India. The development of financial sectors is considered as one of vital determinants of the growth of Ethiopian economy, and for secure equitable distribution of the benefits to the society. However, financial distress has an effect on the sectors. This review was conducted to assess financial distress situation of financial sectors in Ethiopia. The objective is specifically to identify the determinants of financial distress, opportunities of financial sectors, and challenges and constraints of financial distress in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a developing country with majority of unbanked population. Liquidity, profitability, leverage, firm size, capital adequacy, management efficiency, earning ability, inflation and interest rate are major determinant of financial distress in Ethiopia. Significant efforts have went towards coupling portable mass spectrometric systems and ambient ionization methods, with a culminating goal of field-based, point-of-need screening of harmful chemicals. While fieldable, ambient MS methods are an intriguing combination, ruggedness of these ionization methods in regard to naturally-occurring environmental conditions while operating in-situ , such as ambient temperature, relative humidity (RH) and wind, bears further investigation, as such reports are limited. In this work, a systematic characterization of paper spray ionization-mass spectrometry (PSI-MS) performance under variable environmental conditions was undertaken on a field-deployable MS system. Of all conditions, the presence of wind speeds greater than 3 m/s (∼7 MPH) was shown to have the most substantial effect on the spectral attributes of signal intensity and duration of the PSI-MS spraying event. Generally, moderate ambient temperature and %RH produced the best spectral performance for PSI-MS. Heat maps were generated from field-collected data across variable temperature and %RH in an effort to inform general PSI-MS performance trends and guide on-site operation by potential users. This paper's objective is to examine the asymmetric cointegration and asymmetric effects of financial development and monetary policy on monetary transmission mechanisms in the Nigerian context using annual data spanning the period from 1986 to 2023. This study pushes the frontiers of knowledge by providing information on the nonlinear impacts of monetary policy and financial sector innovations on monetary transmission mechanisms in Nigeria to help policymakers tailor their strategies to local conditions, enhancing the effectiveness of monetary interventions in the economy. To achieve this, this paper adopted nonlinear ARDL models to understand how changes in the direction of monetary policy and developments in the financial system induce changes in the transmission of monetary policy. The findings document the existence of asymmetries in both the short and long run, revealing that the impacts of financial development and monetary policy on the different monetary policy channels are not uniform. These asymmetries indicate that the responses of various economic variables to monetary policy actions differ depending on the level of financial development. These findings underscore the complexity of the monetary transmission mechanism and the necessity for a nuanced understanding of how financial development and monetary policy interact in different contexts. Consequently, this finding is symptomatic of some characteristics of those financial markets on their way toward advanced developments. As the financial system matures, monetary policy may have a greater impact on the cost of short-term funding for banks without having any discernible effect on the rates at which businesses and households access funding. Therefore, this paper recommends focusing on the policies that will foster the financial system across the banking sector, capital market, bond market, and overall financial sector to improve the efficiency of the monetary transmission process.
