This research focuses on female managers and aims to explore the factors influencing work–life balance among female managers in Chinese higher education institutions (HEIs), while also ranking the importance of these factors within HEIs. The research is divided into five main sections and employs a two-round Delphi research method, utilizing expert discussions and opinions to thoroughly analyze the work–life balance challenges faced by female managers. The findings of the research reveal six primary dimensions that influence the work–life balance of female managers in Chinese HEIs. These factors, ranked in order of importance, are as follows: (1) family factors, (2) work-related factors, (3) cultural and social norms, (4) health factors, (5) self-management and personal skills, and (6) support and satisfaction. In conclusion, this research offers valuable recommendations for understanding and improving the work–life balance of female managers in Chinese HEIs, providing essential guidance for both these institutions and female managers in achieving a balanced development in their professional and personal lives.

Objective To investigate the gene carrying rate,gene mutation type and hematological characteristics of thalassemia in Dai nationality population of Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Methods A total of 591 Dai nationality gestational age population in Dehong were tested for thalassemia gene by next-generation sequencing technology. The sensitivity and specificity of the hemoglobin electrophoresis and blood routine tests were performed. Results A total of 289 cases (48.90%) were positive for thalassemia gene. Among them,231 cases were classified as α-thalassemia(39.09%) and 89 cases were β-thalassemia(15.06%). Five α-thalassemia genotypes and seven β-thalassemia genotypes were detected. For α-thalassemia, --SEA showed comparatively lower values for MCV and MCH; αCSα showed comparatively lower values for Hb A2 (P＜0.05). For the β-thalassemia,CD 26 (G＞A)had significantly lower Hb A values,and higher MCH values(P＜0.05). A new cut-off value for the thalassemia with the highest accuracy was proposed(MCV 83.55 fL,MCH 27.95 pg). Conclusions Thalassemia is common in Dai nationality population of Dehong. The most frequently identified types are －α3.7 and CD 26 (G＞A).

CsPbIBr2, with its suitable bandgap, shows great potential as the top cell in tandem solar cells. Nonetheless, its further development is hindered by a high defect density, severe carrier recombination, and poor stability. In this study, CsPbI1.5Br1.5 quantum dots were utilized as an additive in the ethyl acetate anti-solvent, while a layer of CsPbBr3 QDs was introduced between the ETL and the CsPbIBr2 light-harvester film. The combined effect of these two QDs enhanced the nucleation, crystallization, and growth of CsPbIBr2 perovskite, yielding high-quality films characterized by an enlarged crystal size, reduced grain boundaries, and smooth surfaces. And a wider absorption range and better energy band alignment were achieved owing to the nano-size effect of QDs. These improvements led to a decreased defect density and the suppression of non-radiative recombination. Additionally, the presence of long-chain organic molecules in the QD solution promoted the formation of a hydrophobic surface, significantly enhancing the long-term stability of CsPbIBr2 PSCs. Consequently, the devices achieved a PCE of 9.20% and maintained an initial efficiency of 85% after 60 days of storage in air. Thus, this strategy proves to be an effective approach for the preparation of efficient and stable CsPbIBr2 PSCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Forest inspection is a crucial component of forest monitoring in China. The current methods for detecting changes in forest patches primarily rely on remote sensing imagery and manual visual interpretation, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive approaches. This study aims to automate the extraction of changed forest patches using UAVs and artificial intelligence technologies, thereby saving time while ensuring detection accuracy. The research first utilizes position and orientation system (POS) data to perform geometric correction on the acquired UAV imagery. Then, a convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to extract forest boundaries and compare them with the previous vector data of forest boundaries to initially detect patches of forest reduction. The average boundary distance algorithm (ABDA) is applied to eliminate misclassified patches, ultimately generating precise maps of reduced forest patches. The results indicate that using POS data with RTK positioning for correcting UAV imagery results in a central area correction error of approximately 4 m and an edge area error of approximately 12 m. The TernausNet model achieved a maximum accuracy of 0.98 in identifying forest areas, effectively eliminating the influence of shrubs and grasslands. When the UAV flying height is 380 m and the distance threshold is set to 8 m, the ABDA successfully filters out misclassified patches, achieving an identification accuracy of 0.95 for reduced forest patches, a precision of 0.91, and a kappa coefficient of 0.89, fully meeting the needs of forest inspection work in China. Select urban forests with complex scenarios in the research area can be used to better promote them to other regions. This study ultimately developed a fully automated forest change detection system. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) play an important role in all living organisms under stress conditions by acting as molecular chaperones. The expression of different HSPs during stress varies depending on their protective functions and anti-apoptotic activities. The application of HSPs improves the efficiency and decreases the economic cost of animal breeding. By upregulating the expression of HSPs, feed supplements can improve stress tolerance in farm animals. In addition, high expression of HSPs is often a feature of tumor cells, and inhibiting the expression of HSPs is a promising novel method for killing these cells and treating cancers. In the present review, the findings of previous research on the application of HSPs in animal breeding and veterinary medicine are summarized, and the knowledge of the actions of HSPs in animals is briefly discussed.
