Introduction and purpose A pilonidal cyst also known as a pilondial sinus, is an inflammatory condition that occurs in the intergluteal region, which can lead to serious infections. It most commonly affects young men, with risk factors including the presence of hair in this area, excessive sweating, obesity, and poor hygiene. Symptoms include a lump, pain, and purulent discharge from openings in the skin. Diagnosis involves taking a medical history, a physical examination, and often an ultrasound. The aim of this paper is to present and compare the available methods for treating pilonidal cysts. Materials and methods Literature available in PubMed databases were reviewed using the following keywords: ‘’Pilonidal cyst’’, ‘’Hair cyst’’, ‘’Abscess’’, ‘’Treatment of pilonidal cyst’’,’’ Bascom II method’’,’’ Limberg flap’’,’’ Suchorski technique’’, ‘’V-Y or Z skin flap reconstruction’’,’’ the Karadakis’’ Results The available treatment methods can be divided into conservative and invasive approaches. Conservative methods include hair removal and improved hygiene. Among the surgical methods, there are traditional excision techniques and modern methods such as excision using the Bascom II method, Limberg flap, Suchorski technique, or V-Y or Z skin flap reconstruction. The Karadakis method, which involves shifting a skin flap, is particularly effective for obese patients. Conclusion Treatment of pilonidal cysts depends on the stage and symptoms. Abscesses require urgent surgical intervention, while asymptomatic cysts can be treated conservatively or surgically.

Introduction and purpose: Impaired cognitive function is a growing public health problem, where dementia is affecting about 47 million people worldwide, and that number is expected to triple by 2050. The MIND (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) diet is intended to overcome this problem. This article aims to raise awareness of the MIND diet, highlighting how dietary choices can promote cognitive health and delay disease progression. Brief description of the state of knowledge: The MIND diet focuses on foods that support cognitive health and may mitigate these degenerative processes. It emphasizes green leafy vegetables, berries, nuts, olive oil, whole grains, fish, and poultry while limiting red meat, dairy, sweets, and fried foods. These products contain several components with multidirectional neuroprotective effects. Material and method: This work was based on material found on Google Scholar. Articles were selected based on citation counts, publication dates, and relevance, ensuring a comprehensive review of recent findings on the MIND diet's impact on cognitive health. Summary: The MIND diet enhances brain health by incorporating nutrient-dense foods that reduce inflammation, combat oxidative stress, and support neuronal function. Green leafy vegetables, berries, nuts, whole grains, and healthy fats work together to improve cognitive function, support synaptic plasticity, and protect brain structure, leading to slower cognitive decline and a lower risk of neurodegenerative diseases.

The review article discusses the latest therapeutic approaches in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC), with a particular focus on metastatic disease. Despite advancements in standard treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted therapies, the prognosis for patients with metastatic CRC remains poor, with five-year survival rates still low. The article examines the potential of immunotherapy, including PD-1 inhibitors like dostarlimab, which have shown promising results in treating selected patient groups. Additionally, the role of the ketogenic diet and probiotics as supportive strategies in CRC treatment is discussed, highlighting their potential to influence cancer metabolism and improve therapeutic outcomes. The article also addresses the development of nanotechnology-based therapies, such as PEGylated PLGA nanoparticles and sphingomyelin nanosystems, which may enhance drug delivery precision, thereby improving treatment efficacy and minimizing side effects. The conclusion emphasizes the need for further research into these innovative therapies and their integration with existing treatment protocols to improve survival and quality of life for CRC patients.

Introduction and purpose: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is the most common psychiatric illness, affecting millions of people worldwide. The first line of pharmacological treatment is usually monoamine reuptake inhibitors. Up to 60% of cases, may be drug-resistant patients, prompting researchers to research substances other than conventional. 1 The purpose of this article was to review recent studies on the use of ketamine in the treatment of drug-resistant depression and present their findings. Brief description of the state of knowledge: Ketamine has been a well-known drug used in anesthesiology and pain management for decades. Because of its multidirectional effects, researchers have become interested in its effects on psychiatric illnesses. Over the past decade or so, there has been a definite increase in research and articles on the use of ketamine in psychiatry. The study has resulted in FDA approval of esketamine for the treatment of treatment-resistant depression in adults in 2019. Material and method: This article is the result of searching keywords on databases such as Google Scholar and Pubmed and collecting scientific literature about depression and ketamine. Articles were preselected by title, number of citations, source, and publication date. Summary: Ketamine has the potential to be a treatment for drug-resistant depression. Its effectiveness varies with the form and dosage, with racemic and higher doses offering greater therapeutic benefits. Ketamine's efficacy is on par with the electroconvulsive therapy. Its onset is faster than traditional antidepressants, significantly reducing suicide risk in a shorter time frame. While the precise mechanisms of its antidepressant effects are not fully understood, it is suggested that its impact on brain neuroplasticity may contribute to the rapid onset of action. Growing evidence supports ketamine's effectiveness in treating TRD, highlighting the need for further research in this area.

BackgroundCoping with residual cognitive and gait impairments is a prominent unmet need in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors. Motor-cognitive exergames may be promising to address this unmet need. However, many studies have so far implemented motor-cognitive exergame interventions in an unstructured manner and suitable application protocols remain yet unclear. We, therefore, aimed to summarize existing literature on this topic, and developed a training concept for motor-cognitive exergame interventions in chronic stroke.MethodsThe development of the training concept for personalized motor-cognitive exergame training for stroke (PEMOCS) followed Theory Derivation procedures. This comprised (1.1) a thorough (narrative) literature search on long-term stroke rehabilitation; (1.2) a wider literature search beyond the topic of interest to identify analogies, and to induce creativity; (2) the identification of parent theories; (3) the adoption of suitable content or structure of the main parent theory; and (4) the induction of modifications to adapt it to the new field of interest. We also considered several aspects of the “Framework for Developing and Evaluating Complex Interventions” by the Medical Research Council. Specifically, a feasibility study was conducted, and refining actions based on the findings were performed.ResultsA training concept for improving cognitive functions and gait in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors should consider the principles for neuroplasticity, (motor) skill learning, and training. We suggest using a step-based exergame training for at least 12 weeks, 2–3 times a week for approximately 45 min. Gentile's Taxonomy for Motor Learning was identified as suitable fundament for the personalized progression and variability rules, and extended by a third cognitive dimension. Concepts and models from related fields inspired further additions and modifications to the concept.ConclusionWe propose the PEMOCS concept for improving cognitive functioning and gait in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors, which serves as a guide for structuring and implementing motor-cognitive exergame interventions. Future research should focus on developing objective performance parameters that enable personalized progression independent of the chosen exergame type.

IntroductionCore stability is crucial for preventing and rehabilitating lumbar spine injuries. An external focus instruction using a paper balloon is an effective way to activate the trunk muscles. However, the degree of trunk and lower extremity muscle activation during single leg stance with external focus instruction using a paper balloon is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the core muscle involving activity in the trunk and lower extremities on both the support and non-support sides with or without using external focus instruction using a paper balloon during isometric single-leg stance.MethodsThirteen healthy males aged 20–28 years volunteered to take part in this study and performed a single leg stance task with and without an external focus instruction, pressing their non-supporting foot onto a paper balloon without crushing it. Physical literacy (PL), a concept commonly associated with the early years, physical education, and youth sport development, can become a meaningful determinant of health and longevity for the adult and older adult population. A review of 55 recent publications from 2018 to 2023 that encompassed physical literacy conceptual frameworks, assessments, and intervention-based studies was undertaken through an heuristic inspired by the philosophy which gave birth to PL. With particular interest in how PL has evolved in response to the needs of an aging population, this position paper tracks a key shift in focus from the individual to the relational context. It references positive interaction and social participation in recent models as significant features of an across-the-lifespan PL perspective.The concluding position is that fostering joyful inter-action be at the heart of PL promotion, resource development and assessment practices, especially in the case of an aging population.

Limited knowledge to determine the use and purpose of the two tunings has not been proven by scientific research. Research to find precise tuning for standard bow, recurve, and compound rounds to improve archery accuracy. This type of research is quantitative experimental research with a two-group pretest posttest design. The sample consists of 24 athletes who are given treatment in 16 meetings. The instrument used is a test scoring archery at a distance of 40m. The collected data will be tested for normality using the Kolmogorov Smirnov technique and the homogeneity test using the Levene statistic technique with a significant level of 5% (p>0.05). Hypothesis testing uses paired samples t-test technique. The results this study indicate (a) there is an effect of walk back tuning increasing archery accuracy of archery athletes, (b) there is an effect of paper tuning training increasing archery accuracy of archery athletes, (c) there is different effect between walk back tuning and paper tuning increasing archery accuracy of archery athletes, where walk back tuning exercises have a greater effect on increasing archery accuracy in archery athletes. This research is expected to be source of reference for athletes and coaches to explore the bow tuning method.

Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However, the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be elucidated. Animal exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular protection. However, standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective, high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases. In our review, we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training, emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise models. We also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research, including the choice of exercise models, control of exercise protocols, exercise at different stages of disease, and other considerations, such as age, sex, and genetic background. We hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

The purpose of this paper has been to collected researches that have been published in JASPE journal that is showing the study of the physical activity of old people between the ages of 50 to 69. They were placed in two groups, first group was people from 50 to 59 age and second group was people with 60 to 69 ages. On these five papers that have been collected, from one to another there have been different views but all of them have had the same point and the same idea. The main point of all these papers is that physical activity must be risen to a higher level. Every research has been done by surveys and old people were giving their answers according to that what they were doing in the last 7 days for example; at work, at home, in their free time, etc. Also, all those activities had 3 groups, hard activity, medium activity, light activity. Results have been showed that physical activity of old people was on quite good level, but that level is not enough. There was a difference, between two groups. Results showed that younger group was more active than older one.

Sport Mont is an electronic and printed scientific journal that has been created in 2003 and it has been developed by Montenegrin Sport Academy. Main purpose of this journal is to represent people, the new scientific researches from sport science and medicine. This journal has been publishing 3 times per year, in February, June and October from the 2003 until nowadays. It has been published more than 1400 papers. Right now, Sport Mont is indexed in 23 scientific bases, in which the most popular are Scopus and Web of Science. In this paper, it has been made a systematic review of papers published by the lectures from Faculty from sport and physical education from Niksic in a period from 2010 to 2012. It has been founded 60 papers that were researching an amount of different areas of sport science. The results have showed that the lectures from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education had the most interest in the area of sport training and from that area it has been founded 28 papers. When we talk about lectures that were publishing in that period, professor Dusko Bjelica has published 18 papers meaning that he has been the one who has published the most. At the end we can tell that the lectures from this faculty became very beneficent for this journal, which it shows their professionality and effort. Also, by putting this journal on the top of the area of sport science and promoting science in general in Montenegro.

The concept of physical literacy is continuing to gain traction internationally. This increasing interest has also given rise to concerns about the use, interpretation and meaning of the term “literacy” within the context of physical literacy. This paper explores the development of the terms literate, illiterate, literacy, and illiteracy identifying their historical origin and contemporary meaning. This provides the backdrop to explore the use of the term literacy within the context of physical literacy. In the final part of this introductory section the recent popularity of the literacies movement is explored. Our discussion identifies key intersections and areas of tension associated with the use, interpretation and meaning of literacy in the context of physical literacy. We adopt Whitehead's philosophy of physical literacy and discussion is informed further by Derrida's notion of differance, and Barad's challenge to singular representations of concepts. Once harnessing these concepts, we reach a juncture of an in-between space; entry points of nonidentity (sameness) and points where multiple effects of difference are created. Key discussion topics include: discourse, language and interpretations of literacy; in/tangibility of literacy; capturing literacy; literacy as a process or a product; connotations of the terms literate and illiterate; neoliberalism and literacy and finally literacy as learning. We believe that when understood as the productive and meaningful interaction with/in/through the world, literacy is still the appropriate term within the context of physical literacy. Our discussion leads us to conclude that as embodied individuals, physical literacy is often the literacy through which other literacies have to pass. Through physical activity individuals can not only nurture their own physical literacy but also contribute toward a global or holistic literacy that helps us navigate, connect and make sense of ourselves, others and the world around us. However, the paper acknowledges that this meaning is not always grasped with the historical understanding of literacy as well as it's translations into other languages presenting challenges in articulating the intended use, meaning and connotations of the contemporary understanding of physical literacy.

This essay aims to analyze papers of financial disclosure of Brazilian football clubs based on the theory of disclosure, seeking to identify unresolved issues and offer opportunities for future research. The benefits associated with disclosure, such as a higher return on investment and a reduction in the cost of capital, are related to the business environment. The essay discusses the existence of two limitations when considering football clubs. The first involves the ability of accounting to fulfill its role of portraying the economic and financial reality of these organizations. The second is the requirement for rational stakeholder expectations. The quantitative articles verified adapt the dissemination and association studies. In qualitative articles, the main issue raised is the low level of disclosure.It appears that the logic that permeates the club's relations with stakeholders is not necessarily rational, considering the existence of a very strong passionate component, which can diminish the relevance of disclosure in this sector. Due to these limitations, it is concluded that clubs do not have the same benefits expected by the disclosure theory, which may justify their low level of disclosure.

Lipoedema is a chronic progressive disorder of adipose tissue leading to an enlargement of lower extremities. It is considered to be rare; however, the prevalence of the disease is underestimated because it is commonly misdiagnosed as obesity or lymphedema and the general awareness is poor. The etiology of the disorder is considered to be multifarious, including genetic inheritance, hormonal imbalance and microcirculation alterations. Diagnosis is mainly based on medical history and physical examination. Management of lipoedema is focused on reducing the symptoms, improving the quality of life and preventing further progression of the disease. The aim of this paper is to raise the awareness of the disease and provide appropriate clinical guidance for the assessment of lipoedema. We searched through the PubMed/MEDLINE database and took into consideration all of the results available as of 6September, 2020 and outlined the current evidence regarding lipoedema epidemiology, etiology, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, and management. Better understanding of lipoedema is crucial for establishing an early diagnosis and a proper treatment, which in turn will reduce the psychological and physical implications associated with the disease.

In Sweden, the formal soccer coach education programs are divided into different levels and are also divided into youth coaching and senior coaching. This paper focuses on youth soccer coaches and their reflections on coach education programs. In the background section the Swedish context is described, as well as current research on coaches’ education and learning. The aim of the paper was to investigate youth soccer coaches’ reflections on coach education programs and to analyse their reflections by using a cultural approach to learning. The empirical material of the paper derives from a web-based questionnaire, posing questions about competence, learning and stress. The coaches were also invited to reflect on the question “how do you believe that soccer associations can educate good coaches?” There were 369 responses, and these were analysed using qualitative content analysis. Results indicated reflections about Flexibility in time, place and content, Mentorship supporting informal learning, Demanding mandatory education and emolument, Education focusing on wholeness and Education being based in practice. The conclusion was that decentralization of education and development of coaches’ contexts, abilities and motivation to critically analyse aims and contents of coach education programs are improvement areas for learning and coaching practices.

Journal of Anthropology of Sport and Physical Education (JASPE) is a scientifi c journal that exists for three years and has so far released 107 scientifi c papers in 7 editions. Papers of lecturers from Faculty for sport and physical education were classifi ed in this paper by the method of content analysis. In last three years they have published 69 papers in total which are classiffi ed in this paper by these areas: anthropology, sports marketing, papers which analyze the content and other papers. The most published papers are from area of anthropology, 35 in total. This research can be useful for further theoretical research, as well as for theoreticians.

Sport Mont is electronic and printed scientifi c journal and also offi cial journal of Montenegrin Sports academy which was established 2003. SMJ is published three times a year by the Montenegrin sport academy (MSA) and in it is possible to fi nd more than 1400 papers from various fi elds of sport science from word wide known scientists. In last three years more than 100 papers are published in this journal. Lecturers from Faculty for sport and physical education published 28 papers in mentioned period and in this research were analysed and classifi ed papers of following fi elds of sport science: anthropology, sport training, management and marketing in sport, sports physiology, theory of sport and physical culture, history of sport, nutrition and other areas of sport. Papers have been classifi ed according to the scientifi c fi elds they belong to and the most published papers are from anthropology fi eld of science (15). Interesting to mention is that lecturers with the most and the same number of published articles are Jovan Gardasevic and Bojan Masanovic who have 12 each (22,67%) published articles. This research can be useful for further theoretical research, as well as for theoreticians.

Recovery after exercise is a crucial key in preventing muscle injuries and in speeding up the processes to return to homeostasis level. There are several ways of developing a recovery strategy with the use of different kinds of traditional and up-to-date techniques. The use of cold has traditionally been used after physical exercise for recovery purposes. In recent years, the use of whole-body cryotherapy/cryostimulation (WBC; an extreme cold stimulation lasting 1–4 min and given in a cold room at a temperature comprised from −60 to −195°C) has been tremendously increased for such purposes. However, there are controversies about the benefits that the use of this technique may provide. Therefore, the main objectives of this paper are to describe what is whole body cryotherapy/cryostimulation, review and debate the benefits that its use may provide, present practical considerations and applications, and emphasize the need of customization depending on the context, the purpose, and the subject's characteristics. This review is written by international experts from the working group on WBC from the International Institute of Refrigeration.

The main purpose of this research was to determine one meta analyses of published scientifi c papers in the fi eld of swimming and water polo from Sport Mont from 2003 to 2018. In the above mentioned magazine the researches from diff erent multidisciplinary and monodisciplinary fi elds were published. In this research, meta analysis were conducted from 15 original journals in the fi eld of swimming and water polo. From the review of all original public papers it is evident that these are transversal researches and the aim is to research one observation treatment on diff erent age groups of respondents. The scientifi c researches informs us about empirical foundings, new theories and theoretical perspectives as well as about methodological and technological developments. From the review of all published original scientifi c papers that are analysed it can be seen that these are scientifi c papers in the fi elds of swimming and water polo and they guide future researchers to increase the effi ciency of the training process in above mentioned fi elds, as well as factors for observing anthropologic characteristics, motor and functional abilities.

The main goal of this research was to determine one meta analysis of published original scientifi c papers in the area of motor abilities in volleyball in Sport Mont Journal in 2006-2016. From the review of the published original scientifi c papers that are being analyzed, it can be seen that this is a longitudinal research. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the fi eld of motor skills in volleyball was conducted. Analyzing the basic central and dispersion parameters in all original scientifi c papers in the fi nal state, it was noticeable that the arithmetic meanings had better values in almost all values compared to the initial state. To determine the statistical signifi cance for evaluating diff erent tests in published works, t-test for dependent samples and multivariate analysis of MANOVA were applied. T-test values and multivariate analyzes were signifi cant or signifi cance level (Sig.) from 0.01 (p≤.01) in almost all variables. This systematic overview shows a comparative analysis of the collected studies and the processed data. It can be concluded that the training program of all scientifi c orginal papers has led to positive transformations.

The main goal of the research was to make one meta-analyze of original scientific papers, mostly published in the Sport Mont Journal, who dealt with the identification of the level of quantitative changes in situational motor skills at cadet football players under the influence of the programmed training process in the preparation period. Three tests were used for estimation of each situational motor ability. In the field of comparative statistics, for determining the differences in variables used to estimate situational motor abilities at the beginning (starting state) and at the end (final state) of the training program during the preparation period, a discriminating parametric procedure t-test was used for large dependent samples. Based on the numerical values of t-test, in all the aforementioned published papers, it was the concluded that statistically significant positive quantitative changes occurred in situational motor skills during the preparation period of cadet football players. Such a training program during the preparation period proved to be very effective in raising the level of situational motor skills in cadet football players. This meta-analyze shows that the obtained results can be focused on innovative plans and programs in the preparation period as well as on adapting the same to the needs of the appropriate population.

Admission Dysfunctions of the lumbosacral spine are among the most common problems related to the movement of contemporary society throughout the world, and its incidence increases with age. In recent years, increased interest in the issues fascia, which until recently was neglected in the etiology of low back pain. One of the therapeutic options that can be applied in the case of chronic pain syndrome lumbar-sacral spine techniques are easing myofascial (ang. Myofascial release, MFR), which is one of the latest methods in the field of manual medicine. Objective of the work The aim of the work was overview AD recently published study on the effectiveness of techniques easing myofascial pain in chronic lumbar-sacral spine. Material and methods To find the current investigate research (publications of the last 5 years) dedicated to MFR in the treatment of chronic pain, lumbar-sacral spine searched the following databases: PubMed, PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database), ScienceDirect and Academic Search Premier. The following keywords: myofascial release, myofascial release therapy, myofascial pain, chronic low back pain. Results 9 qualified to review the studies investigating the effect of loosening myofascial pain and range of motion, functional limitations, muscles, as well as the quality of life in people with chronic pain lumbosacral spine. Conclusions The results of this review show that there is little research on the MFR employs treat ailments low back pain lumbar - sacral. Based on the studies included in this review can be concluded that the MFR can be an effective treatment for back pain lumbar - sacral, but there is a need for further research with a well-developed research procedure that will allow the standardization of this therapeutic method.

The result of preliminary study conducted through interview and documentation study of personnel and general equipment in FIK in January 2017, found the number of lecturers with the position of Lektor in Faculty of Sport Science (FIK) amounting to 33. Of 33 lecturers when viewed from time to occupy the position and education owned there are 16 lecturers who should have proposed to the position of Head Lector. The formulation of the problem in this research is “How is the effectiveness of focused mentoring model in acceleration effort to increase to Head Lector’s Position and what are the obstacles faced in the field related to model intervention. The research method was done by qualitative approach, the informant was determined by purposive sampling technique and then the informant was added with the snowball technique. With purposive sampling technique, there were 10 people as informant. The research instruments are in-depth interview guide and observation guide, and data analysis technique using analysis model from Miles and Huberman.The result of this research get the effectiveness value of model 30% (not effective), this happened because of the characteristics of departments in FIK. Inhibiting factors in increasing the human resources of lecturers to the position of Head Lecturer in the field of public health and sports on FIK Unnes have different characteristics. In the field of public health, the main constraint is in the field of educational activities, where the IKM department is a relatively new department and with human resources who are still in S3 studies (33%). Increasing human resources to the position of Head of Sports sector, the obstacle that needs to get the main attention is the publication to the journal, this is exacerbated by low motivation, although there are 5 lecturers who have passed the S3. Characteristics of each field in this FIK require a mentoring model to be able to improve the quality of human resources, especially to Head Lector

The main objective of this research was to be done meta-analysis of original scientifi c papers published in the journal Sports Mont from 2006 to 2018, who determined the level of motor and situational-motor abilities in basketball players of diff erent ages. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the fi eld of motor skills in basketball was conducted. On the basis of the parameters received in said original published scientifi c papers, it can be concluded that both the base and situational-motor abilities of primary importance for the identifi cation and characterization of young players, and by analogy, and the specialization of basketball game. It is necessary to monitor and apply the achievements of modern sports science, and thus the specifi c diagnosis of training young athletes. The main goal of the research was to make one Meta-analyze of original scientifi c papers, who dealt with the identifi cation on the sport balls repulsion depending on the pressure within. Sport balls of standard dimensions was released on the fl at solid surface from the height of nine meters for four times. At the fi rst release the air in the sport balls was under prescribed pressure. At the second release the pressure in the pumped sport balls is reduced by 5%, at the third reduced by an additional 5%, at the fourth reduced by another 5%. The setting of the experiment was carried by cinema shooting of free fall of the prescribed sport balls and a series of rebounds after the rejection of solid surfaces. One can conclude that the distance crossed and the total duration of four successive bouncing mostly dependent on inner pressure. In this study, the initial speed of a sport ball were unchanged and only inner pressures were changed. It was determined how much the height of the rebound is reduced and the duration of the rebound, respectively, depending on the reduction of inner pressure. This Meta-analyze shows that the initial speed of the ball can be increased by increasing the inner pressure in the balls.

The main goal of this research was to determine one meta analysis of published original scientific papers in the field of sports training in Sport Mont in 2016. From the review of the published original scientific papers that are being analyzed, it can be seen that this is a longitudinal research. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the field of sports training was conducted. Analyzing the basic central and dispersion parameters in all original scientific papers in the final state, it was noticeable that the arithmetic meanings had better values in almost all values compared to the initial state. For the determination of statistical significance, the differences in arithmetic meanings (partial quantitative changes) of the variables for evaluating different tests in published works, the t-test for dependent samples and the multivariate analysis of ANOVA and MANOVA were applied. T-test values and multivariate analysis were at significance or significance level (Sig.) Of 0.01 (p≤.01) in all variables. This systematic overview shows a comparative analysis of the collected studies and the processed data. It can be concluded that the training program of all scientific orginal papers has led to positive transformations.

This short report added to the scientific debate regarding a controversial conclusion published in European Journal of Sport Science. Reasons for the conflicting views have been presented in detail. Importantly, updated evidence suggests that ingestion of ice slurry is an effective countermeasure for endurance performance in the heat. Endurance athletes competing in the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics are encouraged to continue utilizing this simple yet very effective method for best possible performance.

Environmental heat stress is the result of ambient temperature, radiation, and relative humidity. During football practice on synthetic surfaces and no roof, solar radiation causes an important temperature increase of the playing surface. This technical note explains how heat stress is calculated according to the WBGT index (which does not consider playing surface temperature), and quantifies the increase in a synthetic surface compared to natural grass on the same site. Football practice should be avoided during those hours with the highest solar radiation and temperature on this type of surface.

According to the specialized literature, the selection process in handball is represented by a rather complex system and requires new approaches from coaches based on the current and modern requirements of this team sport. Thus, the aim of this study is to identify a battery of tests that assess the current essential motor components of female handball players and to verify their level of development in a handball team.The tests used to evaluate the motor skills of handball players were the T-reaction test, which assesses complex reaction speed at the upper limb level, the Squat Jump, CMJ, and FJ tests, which assess the explosive strength ofthe lower limbs, the 4 Jumps test, which evaluates agility and execution speed, and a test to evaluate the strength of the palm flexors.The subjects of the research were 21 amateur female handball players aged 10±1 years who practice handball at an amateur level.We identified a series of tests in the specialized literature that we applied to the subjects of this research, and the results obtained showed a good level of development of the motor qualities evaluated among the athletes, as well as differences between the right and left limbs regarding the strength of the palm flexors.

A systematic review of original articles published between 1993 and 2007 and indexed in SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) was carried out to identify the anthropometric indicators used to assess abdominal obesity in different target subgroups, and to provide an overview of available evidence regarding the relationship between these anthropometric indicators and obesity-associated comorbidities. The articles were analyzed and the following data were collected:year of publication, sample size and age, anthropometric measure used to detect abdominal obesity, and main results of the study. The review comprised 47 articles which met all inclusion criteria, most of them published over the last 5 years. Waist-hip ratio and waist circumference were used as indicators of abdominal obesity in 34 and 11 of the articles reviewed, respectively. With respect to age range, the samples were heterogeneous in most of the studies (n=27) and ten included adolescents. Four studies were conducted on elderly subjects and three included children, but none exclusively involved adolescents as the target population. The sample size was larger than 500 in 26 studies. Despite disagreement in terms of the degree of correlation, the studies generally showed that the anthropometric indicators of abdominal obesity were correlated with hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemias, and coronary heart risk. The results of this review suggest that abdominal obesity is associated with metabolic diseases. However, there is a lack of studies involving the adolescent population, suggesting the need for further research in this area.

Este artículo presenta el estado de la cuestión sobre la prevención y resolución de conflictos desde el Área de Educación Física tomando como referencia las principales aportaciones de la comunidad científica internacional. El análisis se ha realizado mediante la explotación de las principales bases de datos, tanto nacionales como internacionales, a saber, ISOC, TESEO, ISI y ERIC, con el objetivo de acceder a las publicaciones que permiten identificar los tipos de conflictos más frecuentes que se dan en el área de educación física, las diferentes estrategias que se adoptan para abordarlos, así como, los modelos que se pueden establecer a partir de las diferentes formas de aproximarse al conflicto. La investigación que ha generado este estado de la cuestión, se centra en la necesidad de abordar, desde la educación física, formas para la prevención y resolución de la conflictividad en los centros escolares cuyo incremento es hoy en día una realidad. Abstract: This review paper offers the current international scientific status of the prevention and conflict resolution issue in physical education. The analysis has being made through the examination of the most important national and international databases, as, ISOC, TESEO, ISI and ERIC database, with the aim of identify the most frequent conflicts in physical education, the different ways of dealing with them, as well as, to identify the models found behind each way of conflict approach. The increment of the disputes in the schools communities and the need to find new approach of prevention and conflict resolution, justifies the research in which we develop this scientific status of this issue. Purpose: comparative analysis of the manifestation of morphological and functional indicators of taekwondo athletes aged 14–15 years. Material and Methods: The study involved 60 taekwondo athletes aged 14–15 years. Athletes’ qualification 1-2 category. At least 5 years of experience in Taekwondo WTF. The assessment of morphological and functional indicators of taekwondo athletes was carried out at the age of 14 and 15 years. Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific, methodological and special literature, information on the Internet; anthropometric methods; index method; methods of mathematical statistics. Results: The average body weight of taekwondo athletes aged 14-15 increased by 16,5%, and body length by 4,7%. The indicator of chest excursion increased by 4,8%, carpal dynamometry indicators of the left hand increased by 15,2%, the right hand - by 15,3%. 33,6% of 15-year-old athletes are underweight in terms of body mass index, 2,9% are overweight; 14 year olds: 21,56% underweight, 13,7% overweight. Athletes aged 14–15 have a normosthenic body type. According to the constitution of the physique, 7,84% of 14 year old athletes have a strong physique, 15,68% have a good physique, 5,88% have an average physique, 27,45% have a weak physique, 43,15% have a very weak one. 12,12% of 15-year-old taekwondo athletes have a strong physique, 24,24% have a good physique, 9,1% have an average physique, 24,24% have a weak body, and 30,3% have a very weak body. 13,7% of 14-year-old taekwondo athletes have good physical development, 3,9% - average, 76,4% - weak 15-year-old athletes: 17,6% - good physical development, 14,8% - average, 67,6% - weak. Conclusions: The study of morphological and functional indicators is one of the important criteria for the training of taekwondo athletes, the use of indices allows you to move on to relative indicators, that is, to standardize anthropometric indicators and supplement them. This will contribute to the rational selection of means and methods of training athletes, taking into account their personal characteristics. Our research can be used in monitoring the functional state of athletes involved in taekwondo WTF.

Sport Mont Journal (SMJ) is a print and electronic scientific journal aims to present easy access to the scientific knowledge for sport-conscious individuals using contemporary methods. SMJ publishes original scientific papers, review papers, editorials, short reports, peer review - fair review, as well as invited papers and award papers in the fields of Sports Science and Medicine. In this working paper, we will analyze the papers from the journals published in 2004. The newspaper was published in 2004 twice, in May and September. In May issue was published 55 articles, and 24 in September. All papers were classified according to the science fields: sports training and training methodology, anthropology, sports history, research methodology, sports pedagogy, sociopsychology of sports, sports management, biomechanics, physiology and other works. A significant number of monographs have also been published in this publication.

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as publicações de um periódico internacional e traçar o seu perfil editorial. A partir desta análise, traça um quadro comparativo com a produção nacional da Educação Física na sua subárea sociocultural. Para tanto, selecionamos um periódico especializado que fosse considerado de alto conceito pela plataforma WEB QUALIS periódicos, base de dados que tem sido utilizada para avaliar, em última instância, a qualidade dos Cursos de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu no Brasil. Nossas análises se pautaram em três grandes categorias, a saber: a) a presença constante de pesquisadores advindos das universidades americanas em grande parte dos artigos deste periódico; b) a discussão recorrente do papel da educação física como promotora da atividade física em ambientes formais de educação; c) a ausência de discussão epistemológica sobre a educação física neste periódico. Como conclusão, discutimos acerca da necessidade de ajustes teóricos e metodológicos por parte da comunidade acadêmica da educação física brasileira, para que seja possível publicar neste periódico internacional.This paper aims to discuss about an editorial scope of pedagogical journal in physical education field. Our intent is compare some of their pedagogical issues with Brazilian ones. We chose the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education because it is well qualified in the Educational Brazilian Governmental web system. We framed our scope in three big issues: a) the high concentration of American researchers in the most of papers; b) the permanent idea about the Physical Education is the responsible for promote wellness in schools and the related problems; c) the absence of epistemic discussions about the role of physical education in the Educational System. At the end, we discuss the necessity of having many theorical and empirical adjustments in the Brazilian Physical Educational papers, so as to we are able to publish in the international arena.

The idea of this paper work is to point out the importance of methodical following and evaluation of the training quality which is going to be done (esecuted) through one clear procedure consisted of polystructural criterias. Thus, the idea is to reduce the influence of subjectivity during the evaluation and observation by cutting and reducing the contents into a smaller fragments so that the qualities and the defects of the trainig will be observed more objectivly. It means that the observer can be exclusivly an educated and highly competent person extremly updated to the problems involving this matter. In that case the observer will be able to get to some reliable resullts thanks to an instrument of the observing technique in physical education-an observing list.

Objectives. This bibliometric analysis aimed to examine the trends, patterns, and significant contributions to the understanding of the one-handed backhand drive biomechanics in tennis from 2000 to 2024. Materials and methods. Using the Web of Science and Scopus databases, a systematic review of academic literature was conducted, including articles, conference papers, and reviews. The study examined publishing trends, geographical distribution, authorship, citations, and thematic content. Results. The analysis revealed a steady increase in publications, reaching a peak between 2015 and 2020. Research articles were the most common document type, followed by reviews and conference papers. The United States and Australia were the leading contributors, with a strong culture of international collaboration evident. Keywords such as “biomechanics,” “tennis,” “backhand,” and “performance” were central to the research. The Journal of Sports Biomechanics was a prominent publication venue, with several highly cited documents. Conclusions. The bibliometric analysis demonstrated significant scientific progress in understanding the biomechanical principles of the one-handed backhand drive in tennis. It highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and global partnerships in advancing sports biomechanics research. The study serves as a comprehensive reference for scholars, coaches, and practitioners, offering insights into performance enhancement and injury prevention strategies, and identifying potential areas for further research.

Objectives. The study aimed to completely examine the existing research on the investigation of kinetics and kinematics analysis for flat and topspin serves in tennis, with a special focus on improving performance and reducing injury risks for players. Material and Methods. In order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the data, Scopus searched three variables in each record: (1) the author’s name, (2) the journal name in which the paper was published, and (3) the total number of citations. Bibliometric analysis was used as part of the analysis. To gain a thorough and accurate comprehension, the data was analyzed and interpreted using a variety of data triangulation techniques. Building distance-based co-occurrence networks for bibliometric analysis and synthesis was carried out using the VOS viewer software. The classification and grouping of the terms derived from titles, abstracts, and keywords were carried out based on their degree of interconnectedness. The terms “Serve Dynamics in Tennis”, “Kinetic Analysis in Tennis serve”, “Kinematic Analysis in Tennis serve”, and “Flat and Topspin serve in Tennis” are frequently used in the study, although their meanings are generally interpreted differently. The search yielded 125 papers and 2807 citations, which were used in the study conducted from 2001 to 2024. Results. The study’s findings revealed the primary authors, countries, and subject areas that contribute to a comprehensive understanding of research patterns, influential studies, authorship dynamics, thematic clusters, and international collaborations in the analysis of the kinetics and kinematics for flat and topspin serves in tennis. Conclusions. The study concludes by consolidating current information and identifying potential avenues for broadening the interdisciplinary scope of tennis serve research.

Aim of study Objective: The objective of this paper is to analyze the causes, symptoms, and available treatment n methods for golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis). The paper aims to compare the effectiveness of conservative methods and surgical interventions in treating this condition, as well as discuss the latest advancements in therapy State of Knowledge: Medial epicondylitis, or golfer's elbow, is a chronic tendon condition caused by repetitive stress. Diagnosis relies on clinical evaluation and imaging, while treatment begins with conservative methods like rest and physical therapy. For resistant cases, surgical options and innovative therapies. A multimodal, personalized approach ensures optimal recovery and long-term relief. Summary (Conclusion): Medial epicondylitis, or golfer's elbow, is caused by repetitive stress and degenerative changes in the flexor-pronator tendons. Effective diagnosis combines clinical evaluation and imaging. Conservative treatment, including rest, physical therapy, and pharmacological support, is the first-line approach. In refractory cases, surgical options like open repair and arthroscopy, along with innovative techniques such as collagen-augmented sutures and stem cell applications, show promising results. Complementary therapies, such as ESWT, PRP, and manual therapy, further enhance outcomes, particularly in chronic cases. A multimodal, personalized approach ensures optimal tendon healing, functional recovery, and long-term symptom relief.

Introduction Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers. It occurs in men more often than women. The primary therapy for these cancers is surgery; chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, or immunotherapy are also used. More and better treatments are being sought for this disease. The use of PARP inhibitors in the treatment of pancreatic cancer has shown good results, so in this article we have done a review of the results of various studies on this topic. In this review, the results of studies on the use of various PARP inhibitors in pancreatic cancer of different hormonal status are presented. Purpose This article aims to give you an overview of the trials that have looked at the effects of different PARP inhibitors in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. PARP inhibitors are a relatively new cancer therapy with good results, so it is important to pay attention. State of Knowledge In this article, I used the PubMed database and considered papers from the last 10 years, but most of the information in this review comes from papers published after 2020. I have also taken into account the recommendations of the FDA and the European Medicines Agency on the use of PARP inhibitors. Conclusions PARP inhibitors have shown significant effects on pancreatic cancer outcomes. The differences in outcomes depending on the type of cancer, the PARP inhibitor used, and the previous therapies used in a given patient tell us how important it is to individualize therapy in oncology. The findings of the studies presented in this review also point to the need for further research that could focus on identifying patients who may best benefit from treatment with PARP inhibitors, as well as studying synergistic effects in combination with other forms of therapy, such as immunotherapy or chemotherapy. The changes in treatment outcomes that these drugs can bring underscore the importance of exploring new therapeutic strategies in oncology.

The effects of physical activity on brain function, the mechanisms involved, adaptations, and clinical implications are topics of great importance given the increasingly common sedentary lifestyle. This paper explores these relationships, starting with the evolutionary aspects of brain development in the context of physical activity. It discusses a variety of forms of exercise, from intense exercise to daily NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). A key issue is neuroplasticity, which plays an important role in adaptation to external stimuli. The article identifies key neurotrophic factors, such as BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), which are regulated by physical activity and contribute to improved cognitive function and mental health. The paper demonstrates the multifaceted effects of physical activity on neuroplasticity and brain health.

Introduction: Caffeine, a well-known stimulant, is commonly used by athletes to enhance performance across various sports, including combat sports. Its ergogenic properties, such as improved strength, endurance, and cognitive function, have been well documented in the literature. This paper explores the effects of caffeine supplementation on combat sports, specifically in disciplines such as judo, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, and boxing. The impact of different doses of caffeine on performance in these sports is examined, along with potential risks, limitations, and considerations for its use. Aim of Study: The primary aim of this study is to analyze the effects of caffeine on performance in combat sports, considering various factors such as optimal dosage, timing, and the impact of habitual caffeine consumption. Additionally, this paper evaluates the potential adverse effects, including anxiety, sleep disturbances, and cardiovascular concerns, as well as the considerations regarding caffeine’s status as a banned substance in sports. Material and methods: A review of the literature on caffeine and its effect was performed using the PubMed database. Results and Conclusions: Caffeine supplementation consistently enhances performance in combat sports. Doses ranging from 3–6 mg/kg were found to improve strength, endurance, and reaction times across various combat sports, with higher doses being more effective for elite athletes. However, habitual caffeine consumption may diminish responsiveness to caffeine’s ergogenic effects. Caffeine’s potential adverse effects, such as anxiety, insomnia, and increased heart rate, were reported, with gender differences in sensitivity. While caffeine’s ergogenic effects are well-established, its use should be personalized, considering individual responses and training status. Furthermore, caffeine's legal status and potential interactions with other substances, such as alcohol and medications, must be considered in competitive settings.

Introduction: Intermittent fasting (IF) has emerged as a popular dietary intervention for its potential health benefits, including weight management, metabolic improvement, and reduced risk of chronic diseases. The practice alternates periods of eating and fasting, influencing physiological processes and offering an alternative to traditional calorie-restrictive diets. Purpose of Work: This paper aims to investigate the efficacy of IF as a revolutionary approach to maintaining health and mitigating the risks associated with chronic diseases. By analyzing contemporary research, the paper seeks to elucidate the underlying mechanisms and broader health implications of IF. State of Knowledge: Existing studies suggest that IF positively affects metabolic markers, enhances insulin sensitivity, and promotes autophagy—a cellular repair mechanism crucial for longevity and disease prevention. Emerging evidence links IF to improved cardiovascular health, reduced inflammation, and enhanced cognitive functions. However, variability in outcomes due to age, gender, and fasting protocols highlights the need for tailored approaches and further research. Material and methods: The research methodology entailed establishing the study aims, undertaking a systematic review of the literature, and implementing a structured process to screen pertinent studies. The investigation involved a comprehensive search across scientific databases, including PubMed and Google Scholar. Summary: Intermittent fasting represents a transformative paradigm in health and nutrition science. While preliminary findings are promising, more robust longitudinal studies are required to establish standardized protocols and validate its therapeutic potential across diverse populations. This paper underscores the promise of IF as a strategic tool in the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
