There is little research exploring mental health consumers' experiences with driving and no found research on the role of mental health lived experience staff in assisting consumers with safe driving. It is essential to learn about consumers' experiences of driving to know the supports they find useful in understanding their driver responsibilities and self‐regulating their driving through periods of changing health and wellness. This study explored the personal and professional experiences of lived experience consumer staff related to driving a motor vehicle while also living with a mental health condition.The research was guided by the interpretive paradigm and codesign principles. Qualitative data were derived from semi‐structured interviews with (n = 9) lived experience consumers working in a public mental health service. Data were thematically analysed.Our research team involved consumer and occupational therapy coresearchers.Five main themes were identified: (1) Driving means freedom and independence, (2) A nuanced understanding about the impact of mental health on driving, (3) I/we can manage: A range of strategies, (4) Driving is not something mental health staff tend to discuss, and (5) Do not beat around the bush, just talk about it.Consumers want support and direct conversations about driving and their mental health, medication side effects, and strategies to gain their licence, maintain, or return to driving. ABSTRACT Mental illness stigma is still a widespread phenomenon with damaging psychological and social consequences. This study is of relevance to the design of appropriate psychiatric services which reinforce the social integration of individuals living with mental illness. It investigates the relationship between contact, emotional intelligence (EI) and attitudes of the general population towards people with mental illness. This study utilized a random sampling method to collect data from 183 participants. Measures included the EI Scale for assessing EI, the level of contact (LOC) Report to examine the LOC with mental illness, and the Attitudes towards Mental Illness Scale to evaluate attitudes towards mental illness. Each of these instruments has been validated in previous research. Data analysis involved Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and mediation analysis to explore the relationships between variables. EI and particularly the abilities of use of emotion and other's emotional appraisal were associated with more positive attitudes towards mental illness. conversely, lower levels of contact were associated with higher levels of social care, indicating a complicated relationship between contact and attitudes. The findings highlight that a deeper understanding of the association between contact with individuals living with mental illness and attitudes towards them is needed, focusing on potential mechanisms that might modify this association. Additionally, a focal point that is underlined in this research is the important role of EI in affecting attitudes as it seems to offer promising directions in planning educational programs and stigma reduction interventions. Dyadic interventions targeting maternal mental health and the mother‐infant relationship in the perinatal period are critical due to the potential consequences of perinatal mental illness and relational disturbance for the mother, the infant, and their family. This paper describes the Pregnancy to Parenthood (P2P) model of care, a dyadic mother‐infant community‐based program designed to support vulnerable families in Western Australia in the context of an identified need to build workforce capacity. A pragmatic service evaluation study was conducted by analyzing routine clinical data collected from 105 dyads who completed pre‐ and post‐intervention measures, including the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS), and the Mother Object Relations Scale‐Short Form (MORS‐SF). Reliable change index and cut‐off analyses indicated a clinically reliable pre‐post reduction in perinatal depressive and anxiety symptoms for 71% and 68% of the sample, respectively. Significant pre‐post improvements with medium effect sizes (r = −.46, r = −.32) were found for caregiving representations on the MORS‐SF, suggesting representations became more balanced. These results provide provisional evidence that the P2P model of care may be effective in improving maternal mental health and caregiving representations. The increasing global demand for mental health services, compounded by the COVID‐19 pandemic, has spurred innovative approaches. Among these, the utilisation of paraprofessionals for delivering brief psychological interventions (BPIs) is gaining significant traction across diverse settings and populations. Paraprofessionals (individuals equipped with specialised mental health training but lacking formal qualifications) have emerged as a valuable resource. They have the potential to offer cost‐effective, culturally sensitive and readily accessible support. The integration of paraprofessionals into various healthcare settings, such as inpatient psychiatric units and primary care clinics, underscores their potential to enhance holistic well‐being and early intervention. This integration not only lightens the load on licensed therapists but also broadens access to services while reducing treatment costs. At a global scale, paraprofessionals, armed with local knowledge and community connections, play a pivotal role in improving mental health outcomes among underserved populations. Furthermore, the rise of telemental health, an increasingly crucial aspect of mental healthcare, presents new avenues for paraprofessionals to deliver psychological care. Despite their potential, paraprofessionals encounter challenges related to work‐life balance, boundary‐setting and the stigma attached to their roles. Their integration into healthcare systems requires clear roles and responsibilities, along with continuous support to ensure effective intervention and the well‐being of both providers and recipients. ABSTRACT Objective Method Results Discussion This study describes the current management of patients with eating disorders (EDs) served by publicly–funded Medicaid behavioral health systems.Behavioral health leaders across nine counties in California met on a quarterly basis to share experiences, challenges, and lessons in the management of EDs within publicly–funded service systems. Detailed notes were taken, and a qualitative content analysis was undertaken to identify key themes.County leadership noted insufficient outpatient capacity and difficulty building capacity for ED treatment, in addition to extraordinary challenges when facilitating admission to out‐of‐network higher level of care programs, at significant expense. Several challenges were identified in building an internal ED workforce, including the fact that many providers weren't eager to treat EDs due to training burden, patient complexity, and high levels of clinician burnout. When a higher level of care was required due to lack of outpatient resources or patient symptom severity or complexity, leaders dedicated significant resources to identify and contract with an appropriate program and secure the necessary funds.Our study supports the need for specialized ED treatment and case management, as well as standardized processes and centralized resources, in Medicaid‐managed care. Findings also indicate the importance of protecting against clinician burnout, possibly through reduced caseload expectations, financial incentives, or increased support. The Senedd Children, Young People and Education Committee in Wales published an inquiry report on disabled children's access to education and childcare, highlighting significant barriers and shortcomings in mainstream settings. The report includes 32 recommendations to address these issues. The Welsh Government responded to the report, acknowledging the concerns raised and committing to work towards inclusive childcare and education. Additionally, the committee published an interim report on the implementation of education reforms in Wales, focusing on the Additional Learning Needs system and the Curriculum for Wales rollout. Background Aim Findings Conclusion This research study explores how therapists in the United Kingdom (UK) navigate the issue of loneliness when working with destitute asylum seekers (DAS). Loneliness and social isolation have adverse effects on the mental and physical health of individuals, and migrants, including asylum seekers and refugees, are particularly vulnerable to these challenges.The study aimed to provide valuable insights into the strategies employed by therapists to address loneliness in this specific population and may contribute to the development of effective interventions and programmes in mental health services for asylum seekers.Braun and Clarke's reflexive thematic analysis of focus group data revealed two main themes: (1) perceived factors that impact loneliness and (2) therapeutic strategies for alleviating loneliness.This paper concludes with a discussion of the findings of this study and provides recommendations for future research directions, aiming to further enhance our understanding and support for DAS in addressing loneliness and to continue improving mental health services for this vulnerable population. ABSTRACT Rationale Aims and Objectives Method Results Conclusion This service evaluation details the process of introducing Single Session Therapy (SST) with families to a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the United Kingdom. SST is a model of short‐term psychotherapy intervention which can be applied to family contexts to provide timely mental health support.This service evaluation had two objectives: (1) Review the existing evidence base and literature for SST. (2) Evaluate the implementation of a new SST treatment pathway in CAMHS, including patient experiences and satisfaction with the service.SQUIRE Guidelines are used to report on this new knowledge of healthcare. This evaluation used qualitative methods to evaluate the impact of the new service. The team also used existing frameworks within the Trust, namely discharge data, which is collected routinely as part of service evaluation.This evaluation suggests positive support for this model, and that many families appreciate and value the opportunity to build on strengths and work toward their goals as families. This project outcome appears to support some of Talmon's (1990) findings that the most commonly attended number of sessions is one, and that of those who attended only one session, many perceived the session as useful. Waiting times for our service are extremely long. The pace and structure around goals and solutions could feel both galvanising, as some reported, but others felt it was an insufficient response to the severity of their difficulties.More high‐quality research is needed before judgments can be made around the cost‐effectiveness or efficacy of SST over existing approaches in the United Kingdom. While implementing SST should not be used to justify reduction in existing interventions, it offers a positive additional service for young people experiencing mental health difficulties and their families. Background: Functional Communication Disorders (FCDs) are one specific presentation of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). FND is characterised by neurological symptoms, such as sensory and motor symptoms, which are not explained by neurological disease. Speech and language therapists (SLTs) have expertise in managing communication disorders, including FCDs, though is not known is what clinicians do in practice to treat and manage FCDs. Aim: To explore the clinical practices of SLTs who regularly manage FCDs in the UK, including the assessment and intervention approaches taken. Methods & Procedures: An online survey was developed using Qualtrics software and piloted before dissemination. Participants were experienced SLTs working in the UK who managed at least three FCD referrals a year. The survey was developed with a mix of qualitative and quantitative questions. The survey was disseminated via social media and professional networks. Outcomes & Results: There were 73 completed responses to the survey. Participants reported working with a range of FCDs clinically, with functional stuttering and articulation disorders seen most frequently. SLTs reported working with a wide range of multidisciplinary professionals when managing patients with FCDs, though lack of access to mental health professionals was raised as an issue. SLTs reported using a combination of formal and informal communication assessments. Interventions varied, with a wide range of psychological approaches informing treatment. Lack of specific training, evidence base and negative attitudes around functional neurological disorder (FND) were raised as ongoing issues. Conclusions & Implications: Therapists encountered a wide range of FCDs as part of their clinical practice, though there was a significant disparity in the service and interventions offered. SLTs feel their input can be effective, but lack the resources, training and evidence‐based interventions to provide adequate care. WHAT THIS PAPER ADDS: What is already known on the subject: FCDs are one manifestation of FND and can present as a wide range of communication disorders. SLTs encounter FCDs as part of clinical practice, but report feeling unsure and underprepared to manage these disorders. Consensus recommendations have provided some guidance on how to manage these disorders, though what was not known was what practising SLTs are doing in practice with FCD patients: what assessment, intervention and management strategies they use, and what they feel are the facilitators and barriers to effective management. What this study adds to the existing knowledge: This is the first UK‐wide survey of FCD SLT clinical practice. The survey found that SLTs are seeing a range of FCDs as part of their clinical practice. SLTs reported that they feel their input is effective, that they had confidence in their ability to provide assessment and intervention, and that SLT for FCDs should be routine. SLTs reported using a wide variety of approaches to assessment and intervention. Barriers to effective management included a lack of resources, training, negative staff attitudes towards FND, and lack of research and evidence‐based interventions. What are the practical and clinical implications of this work?: This survey has found that SLTs working across the UK are providing input for patients with FCDs, but frequently reported feeling isolated and lacking clinical peer support. This shows the potential for networking groups to support SLTs to learn and share resources. There is a training need for SLTs and other healthcare professionals to tackle pervasive negative attitudes towards FND. Common themes in intervention approaches were found, but there was variability in the specific approach taken. This requires further research to guide SLTs on the best evidence‐based practice. Objective: Few individuals with eating disorders (EDs) receive treatment. Innovations are needed to identify individuals with EDs and address care barriers. We developed a chatbot for promoting services uptake that could be paired with online screening. However, it is not yet known which components drive effects. This study estimated individual and combined contributions of four chatbot components on mental health services use (primary), chatbot helpfulness, and attitudes toward changing eating/shape/weight concerns ("change attitudes," with higher scores indicating greater importance/readiness). Method s : Two hundred five individuals screening with an ED but not in treatment were randomized in an optimization randomized controlled trial to receive up to four chatbot components: psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, personalized service recommendations, and repeated administration (follow‐up check‐ins/reminders). Assessments were at baseline and 2, 6, and 14 weeks. Results: Participants who received repeated administration were more likely to report mental health services use, with no significant effects of other components on services use. Repeated administration slowed the decline in change attitudes participants experienced over time. Participants who received motivational interviewing found the chatbot more helpful, but this component was also associated with larger declines in change attitudes. Participants who received personalized recommendations found the chatbot more helpful, and receiving this component on its own was associated with the most favorable change attitude time trend. Psychoeducation showed no effects. Discussion: Results indicated important effects of components on outcomes; findings will be used to finalize decision making about the optimized intervention package. The use of restrictive practices within health and social care has attracted policy and practice attention, predominantly focusing on children and young people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism. However, despite growing appreciation of the need to improve care quality for people living with dementia (PLWD), the potentially routine use of restrictive practices in their care has received little attention. PLWD are at significant risk of experiencing restrictive practices during unscheduled acute hospital admissions. In everyday routine hospital care of PLWD, concerns about subtle and less visible forms of restrictive practices and their impacts remain. This article draws on Deleuze's concepts of 'assemblage' and 'event' to conceptualise restrictive practices as institutional, interconnection social and political attitudes and organisational cultural practices. We argue that this approach illuminates the diverse ways restrictive practices are used, legitimatised and perpetuated in the care of PLWD. We examine restrictive practices in acute care contexts, understanding their use requires examining the wider socio‐political, organisational cultures and professional practice contexts in which clinical practices occurs. Whereas 'events' and 'assemblages' have predominantly been used to examine embodied entanglements in diverse health contexts, examining restrictive practices as a structural assemblage extends the application of this theoretical framework. In 1928, the American Anthropological Association declared that "Anthropology provided no scientific basis for discrimination against any people on the ground of racial inferiority, religious affiliation, or linguistic heritage" (Guthrie, 1976/1998/2004, p. 30). In 1945, Jung denounced race theory as a pseudo‐science. In 1950, UNESCO released its statement denouncing race. Long discredited as scientifically invalid, the race concept still holds uncanny value and significance for Americans and Europeans. In effect, the concept seems to be mysteriously linked to the limited accessibility and the limited economic support that is allotted to people of colour, internationally. This paper will explore the global implications of Jung's expressed attitude towards people of colour prior to 1945, which I identify as an attitude of white supremacy, an attitude that stands in direct contrast to the analytical ethos, as expressed by the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). This attitude may promote the continuance of racialized beliefs and behaviours within the planning and provision of care to individuals in need of medical and mental health services. Aims: Poor sleep is highly prevalent in young people and increases risk of mental health difficulties, yet access to sleep interventions remains limited. This paper evaluates the use of a sleep intervention delivered by non‐expert practitioners in a secondary care youth mental health service. Method: Assistant psychologists were trained to deliver a six‐session 1:1 cognitive‐behavioural sleep intervention adapted for use with young people with mental health difficulties. A within‐subject design assessed clinical outcomes relating to sleep (Insomnia Severity Index), psychological distress and personal goals (Goal Based Outcome Measures) at four time points. Results: High referral, intervention take‐up (82.82%) and completion (70%) rates were reported, together with high baseline levels of insomnia (Insomnia Severity Index mean 20.47, SD 3.68) and poor sleep efficiency (56.36%, SD 17.23). Fifty‐six young people (average age 19.2 years, SD 3.25) were included in the outcome analysis. Statistically and clinically significant improvements were seen across all outcome measures, with 68% no longer meeting clinical threshold (ISI ≥15) for insomnia at endpoint. Conclusions: This study demonstrates exceptionally high levels of clinical need and engagement with a sleep intervention adapted specifically for young people with mental health difficulties. Whilst limited by the uncontrolled design, large improvements in insomnia and psychological distress support its effectiveness and utility in clinical settings. Aim: Young adults with serious mental illness (SMI) have poor physical health and high Emergency Department (ED) and hospital utilization. Integrating primary care into community mental health care may be an important form of early intervention. Methods: Adjusted multivariable regressions assessed changes in self‐reported annual primary care, ED and hospital utilization for 83 young adults with SMI enrolled in integrated care. Results: Participants' mean annual per person utilization changed significantly as follows: primary care visits, from 1.8 to 3.6, p <.001; medical ED visits, from 1.0 to 0.6, p <.01; psychiatric ED visits from 0.6 to 0.2, p <.001; medical inpatient days, from 1.2 to 0.1, p <.001 and psychiatric inpatient days, from 6.3 to 2.6, p <.001. Conclusions: Young adults with SMI receiving integrated care increased primary care and reduced ED and inpatient utilization. Aim: To evaluate the implementation of a mixed virtual and in‐person brief intervention for young people, aged 12–25 years, presenting to a large urban mental health service in crisis with suicidal ideation and/or self‐harm. Methods: A pragmatic, real‐world evaluation was conducted on the Youth Brief Intervention Service between June 2021 (inception) and October 2022. Service users were offered four sessions over an approximate one‐month period. Sessions focused on distress tolerance, safety plans and support systems. Implementation outcomes related to service uptake, retention, fidelity of the model and service user experience. Effectiveness outcomes were measured pre‐post and included mental health‐related hospital service utilization (primary outcome), functioning, mental health status, self‐harm, suicidal ideation and quality of life. Results: Of the 136 young people referred to the Youth Brief Intervention Service, 99 were accepted with 17 disengaging before the first session. Eighty percent of people who commenced, completed the package of care. Young persons' and parent/carers experience of service was high (97% and 88%, respectively). Mental health‐related emergency department presentations and inpatient days decreased from 3 months pre‐intake to 3 months post‐intake (42 vs. 7 presentations, X2 = 25.3, p <.001; 11 vs. 0 inpatient days, X2 = 9.1, p =.01). There were significant improvements in mental health status, days engaging in self‐harm, general health and functioning and quality of life. Conclusions: The Youth Brief Intervention Service is feasible, acceptable, subjectively beneficial and coincided with less mental health‐related emergency department presentations and inpatient days, and improved mental health status and behaviour. Background: Research has suggested that people diagnosed with schizophrenia experience challenges in their abilities to reflect upon themselves, others and their actions in the world. One emerging approach to addressing these forms of subjective disturbance is Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy (MERIT). Aims: In this study, a randomized delayed trial was conducted to assess the effects of MERIT upon metacognition, psychiatric symptoms and quality of life. Materials and Methods: Following recruitment and randomization, data from 54 adults diagnosed with schizophrenia were analysed. Results: Findings included significant interaction effects between group (immediate intervention or waiting condition) and time (pre‐ and post intervention) with regard to the metacognition general score and its domain of mastery, as well as with regard to negative, positive and cognitive symptoms. Discussion: Participating in MERIT seems to improve one's ability to use reflective knowledge to cope with psychological challenges and to improve, or at least maintain, level of symptomatology. Background: There has been substantial progress made across multiple disciplines to emphasize the importance of perinatal mental health both for parents and offspring. This focuses on what has been termed the 'First 1000 Days' from conception to the child's second birthday. We argue that our understanding of this issue can go further to create an intergenerational approach to mental health. Despite the existence of theoretical frameworks and practical approaches to implementation, there are gaps in the understanding of perinatal and intergenerational mental health including which psychological mechanisms are implicated in the transmission of risk and resilience within the perinatal period; and how to leverage these into treatment approaches. Aims and Methods: In this paper, we explore the potential for mentalization as a candidate psychological approach to intergenerational mental health. Results: We contextualize this issue in terms of the points of contact between mentalization and broader theoretical models such as the social determinants of health and the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DoHaD) model. Further, we provide an overview of the existing evidence base for the relevance of mentalization to perinatal mental health. Discussion: Finally, we sketch out an outline model for integrating mentalization into perinatal and intergenerational mental health, highlighting several areas of opportunity to develop research and practice from diverse geographies and demographics. Here, we suggest that integration of mentalization with other conceptual frameworks such as DoHaD can mutually enrich the understanding of each model, pointing the way towards more effective early and preventative interventions. Homelessness, particularly unsheltered homelessness is a public health emergency in the U.S. Street outreach programs have demonstrated efficacy in connecting people to housing, initiating or retaining people in primary care, improving access to mental health services, and increasing treatment for substance use disorder. Effective outreach is generally characterized by trained, multidisciplinary teams that visit clients where they are, forming trusting relationships over time. Public health nurses working on outreach teams have opportunities to exercise their full scope and standards of practice and advance street outreach to the benefit of a distinctly marginalized group. However, despite of this importance, few checks have been made on the perceived preparedness of sport psychologists to undertake this work and whether differences may exist between those recently qualified compared to experienced practitioners. Underpinned by the theoretical domains framework, 62 Health and Care Professions Council registered practitioner sport and exercise psychologists (30 females: age: M = 46.13 years and SD = 10.44 years and 32 males: age: M = 43.25 years and SD = 10.47 years) completed an online survey to assess whether they felt equipped to address the mental health dimension of their work. The survey comprised three sections: Demographic and background information, a series of statements (n = 31) adapted from the determinants of implementation behavior questionnaire, and three questions with space for free text comments, inviting participants to explain their level of preparedness to incorporate and deliver mental health interventions. A 6 × 12 analyses of variance yielded significant differences between domain ratings but not across levels of experience or interactions. Data from free text comments were analyzed thematically and categorized into the following three themes: (a) complementing the performance role, (b) awareness of professional boundaries, and (c) importance of further continued professional development. Combined, although practitioners emphasized importance, preparedness ratings ranged from neutral to somewhat agree, calling for further specific sport psychology‐based mental health training. Aim: The current study aims to characterize the longitudinal patterns of depression subtypes and investigate the associations among the stability of depression subtypes, COVID‐19‐related stressors, and depression severity. Methods: The study utilized data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging, which is a national, long‐term study of Canadian adults aged 45 and older (n = 12,957). Latent profile analysis was used to identify latent depression subtypes. Latent transition analysis was then applied to assess the stability of these subtypes over time. Hierarchical multivariate linear regression was used to explore the relationships among these identified depression subtypes, COVID‐19‐related stressors, and depression severity among males and females, respectively. Results: Distinct depression subtypes were identified. Except for atypical depression, other depression subtypes showed greater stability over time. We also found that melancholic depression (B = 9.432) and typical depression (B = 6.677) were strongly associated with depression severity during the pandemic. Health‐related stressors (B = 0.840), conflict (B = 3.639), difficulties accessing resources (B = 0.927), separation from family (B = 0.840), and caregiving experience (B = 0.764), were significantly associated with increased depression severity. Sex‐specific analyses also revealed differences in the associations between stressors and depression severity between males and females. Conclusions: This study contributes valuable insights into the latent clustering of depression subtypes and their stability. Stressors were associated with increased depression severity, with distinct associations observed among males and females. These findings have implications for targeted early interventions and integrated clinical management strategies by providing the evidence base for tailored mental health care during and after the pandemic. Many youths with attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) experience significant long‐term impairment and may develop concurrent mental and somatic health difficulties as adults. This is associated with burden and costs for the individual and society which could be prevented through continued support in youth. Yet, only few young people transition to adult mental health services for ongoing care in different countries worldwide. We provide an overview on current transition practices, highlighting the gaps in knowledge and the barriers to effective service transitioning, while considering the large geographical variation in available guidelines and service provision. For ease of use, this review is organized in a question‐and‐answer format covering different aspects of the transition process and considering both service users' and clinicians' perspectives. Consensus is needed to identify those that require continued care, the optimal timing to arrange transition, and the most suitable services. Finally, we discuss cost‐effectiveness of transition practices, consider examples of best practice, and propose recommendations on how to improve transitional care, including the importance of service users' input into transition planning. Objectives: Early interventions improve outcomes for people at high risk of psychosis and are likely to be cost saving. This group tends to seek help for emotional problems – depression and anxiety – via primary care services, where early detection methods are poor. We sought to determine prevalence rates of high risk for psychosis in UK primary care mental health services and clinical outcomes following routinely delivered psychological therapies. Methods: We used a brief screen designed for settings with low base rates and significant time constraints to determine prevalence of high risk for psychosis in UK 'Talking Therapies' services. We examined socio‐demographic characteristics, presenting problems and recovery trajectories for this group, compared with people not at risk of psychosis. Results: A 2‐item screen selected for specificity yielded a prevalence rate of 3% in primary care mental health services. People at elevated risk of psychosis were younger and more likely to report at least one long‐term physical condition. This group presented with higher levels of depression, anxiety and trauma symptoms at assessment and were less likely to have recovered at the end of treatment, compared to people not at risk. Conclusions: Very brief screening tools can be implemented in busy health care settings. The 3% of referrals to UK primary care psychological therapies services at elevated risk of psychosis typically present with more severe symptoms and greater levels of comorbidity and may require augmented interventions to recover fully. This article discusses the controversy surrounding pre-operative opioid tapering and its potential to advance personalized, patient-centered pain medicine. The use of opioids for chronic non-cancer pain management is common, but it is associated with negative outcomes in the peri-operative period, such as respiratory failure and surgical site infections. The article presents the findings of a pilot study that assessed the feasibility of a pharmacist-led opioid tapering program before elective hip or knee arthroplasty. The study found high adherence to the program and positive outcomes in terms of physical functioning and quality of life. Teachers play a critical role in school mental health. They aid in the identification and referral of students in need of mental health services and are key players in implementing interventions. Nevertheless, teachers often lack the education and training needed to support youths' mental health. Increasing teachers' mental health literacy (MHL) is recognized as a needed area of focus in improving systems' responses to youths' mental health needs, yet no current tools assess teachers' complete MHL. A measure of MHL for in‐service teachers based on current conceptualizations of MHL in the context of schools was developed and tested. The 24‐item scale was tested in a sample of 407 full‐time teachers in the United States and initial psychometric testing supports its use. The analytic strategy included an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability analysis via Cronbach's α, and convergent validity analysis via zero‐order correlations between the Teachers' MHL Scale and theoretically linked constructs. The final scale includes four subscales that measure teachers' understanding of how to promote well‐being, recognize potential problems, link students in need to appropriate resources, and the link between well‐being and school success. The underlying theory supporting the tool's development and suggestions for its use are discussed. Introduction: Early parenting services in Australia offer brief structured residential programs to address moderate to severe non‐psychotic mental health problems among women and unsettled infant/toddler behaviours. The aims were to (1) estimate the immediate and medium‐term impact of a five‐night psychoeducational residential early parenting program on postpartum depressive symptoms and (2) identify the factors associated with improvement or worsening of postpartum depressive symptoms after completing the program and six weeks post‐discharge. Methods: Audit of routinely collected medical record data from pre‐admission, pre‐discharge and post‐discharge assessments of a consecutive cohort of women admitted, with their infants/toddlers in a 15‐month period to Masada Private Hospital Early Parenting Centre. Data included structured questions assessing: demographic characteristics, access to family and social support, past and current mental health problems, reproductive and obstetric health, chronic health conditions, breastfeeding problems, coincidental major life events, health risk behaviours and infant/toddler feeding, sleeping and crying behaviours. Standardised instruments included the Partner Interaction after Birth Scale (PIBS), the MacLean Screening Instrument for Borderline Personality Disorder (MSI‐BPD), Modified Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) and selected items from the Karitane Parenting Confidence Scale. The primary outcomes were Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale scores at pre‐discharge and follow up assessments. Data were analysed using multinomial logistic regression models in which individual and psychosocial characteristics at pre‐admission were included as predictors of the likelihood of the changes of the outcomes from pre‐admission to pre‐discharge and follow up. Results: Complete data from 1220 of 1290 (95%) eligible women were available to assess pre‐admission to pre‐discharge and from 559 (45.8%) to assess pre‐discharge to six‐week follow‐up changes. The mean pre‐admission EPDS score was 11.7 (95% CI: 11.5; 12.0), pre‐discharge it was 7.1 (95% CI: 6.9; 7.4) and at six‐week follow up it was 5.7 (95% CI: 5.3; 6.1). We found that almost all women experienced a clinically meaningful and rapid improvement in depressive symptoms of at least this magnitude (reduction in mean EPDS scores of 4.6 points from pre‐admission to pre‐discharge (five nights) and a further reduction of 1.2 points pre‐discharge to follow up) (six weeks) and we identified an interpretable set of risk factors for symptoms that did not improve or worsened. The adverse outcomes were associated with having symptoms of borderline personality disorder, a partner experienced as lacking kindness and care, coincidental adverse events and having a child younger than six months. Conclusion: Residential early parenting programs, which take a psycho‐educational approach to strengthening caregiving skills, maximising agency, and reducing helplessness, have a rapid beneficial effect on women's postpartum depressive symptoms. These programs provide a valuable and effective component of comprehensive mental health services. Long‐term dialectical behaviour therapy is indicated for women with borderline personality disorder traits for whom early parenting programs alone are insufficient to improve depressive symptoms. Objective/Background: Unmet needs in perinatal mental healthcare are an important public health issue particularly in the context of a stressful life event such as the COVID‐19 pandemic but data on the extent of this problem are needed. Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the (1) proportion of women with clinically significant symptoms of perinatal depression, anxiety or comorbid symptoms of depression and anxiety, receiving mental healthcare overall and by country and (2) factors associated with receiving mental healthcare. Method: Women in the perinatal period (pregnancy or up to 6 months postpartum) participating in the Riseup‐PPD‐COVID‐19 cross‐sectional study, reported on sociodemographic, social support health‐related factors, and COVID‐19 related factors, and on symptoms of depression (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale [EPDS]) and anxiety (Generalised Anxiety Disorder [GAD‐7]) using self‐report questionnaires. Clinically significant symptoms were defined as EPDS ≥ 13 for depression and GAD‐7 ≥ 10 for anxiety. Mental healthcare was defined as self‐reported current mental health treatment. Results: Of the 11 809 participants from 12 countries included in the analysis, 4 379 (37.1%) reported clinically significant symptoms of depression (n = 1 228; 10.4%; EPDS ≥ 13 and GAD‐7 ⟨ 10), anxiety (n = 848; 7.2%; GAD‐7 ≥ 10 and EPDS ⟨ 13) or comorbid symptoms of depression and anxiety (n = 2 303; 19.5%; EPDS ≥ 13 and GAD‐7 ≥ 10). Most women with clinically significant symptoms of depression, anxiety, or comorbid symptoms of depression and anxiety were not receiving mental healthcare (89.0%). Variation in the proportion of women with clinically significant symptoms of depression and/or anxiety reporting mental healthcare was high (4.7% in Turkey to 21.6% in Brazil). Women in the postpartum (vs. pregnancy) were less likely (OR 0.72; 95% CI 0.59‐0.88), whereas women with previous mental health problems (vs. no previous mental health problems) (OR 5.56; 95% CI 4.41‐7.01), were more likely to receive mental healthcare. Conclusion: There are high unmet needs in mental healthcare for women with clinically significant symptoms of perinatal depression and/or anxiety across countries during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Studies beyond the COVID‐19 pandemic and covering the whole range of mental health problems in the perinatal period are warranted to understand the gaps in perinatal mental healthcare. This article examines the trends in psychotherapy utilization for perinatal mental health disorders among privately insured adults in the United States from 2008 to 2020. The study found that psychotherapy rates increased by 250% during this period, with the highest rates among white individuals, followed by black, Hispanic, and Asian individuals. However, after adjusting for age and comorbidity, the rate of increase in psychotherapy among Asian individuals decreased, while the rate among white individuals slightly increased. Background: Serotonin reuptake inhibitors are commonly used for treatment of mental health problems in pregnancy but may cause neonatal adaptation syndrome. It is unknown whether reduction or discontinuation of medication prior to delivery may mitigate this effect. Methods: We present a case series of 38 women who either tapered their medication prior to delivery or maintained or increased their dose. Results: Greater reductions in maternal antidepressant dose just prior to delivery were associated with fewer admissions to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for infants. There was a slightly greater increase in depressive symptoms across delivery for women who tapered, which was not statistically significant. Conclusions: NICU admissions may be less frequent among neonates whose mothers tapered their medication prior to delivery. Objectives Method Results Conclusions The trauma and social pathways model of psychosis proposes interactions between trauma, attachment, social rank and dissociation in pathways to psychosis, though this model has yet to be empirically investigated. The primary aim of this study was to examine the overall predictive value of the trauma and social pathways model using regression analysis. A secondary aim was to delineate hypothesized pathways between trauma and positive symptoms of psychosis using serial mediation analysis.This was a cross‐sectional study of people attending mental health services for a psychosis‐related diagnosis (N = 71). Measures of trauma, positive symptoms of psychosis, attachment, social comparison and dissociation were completed.A model of recurrent trauma, insecure attachment, social rank and dissociation predicted 23.2% of the variance in positive symptoms of psychosis. Recurrent trauma, attachment and dissociation contributed significantly to the model, while social rank did not. Further, serial mediation analysis indicated that the sequence of disorganized attachment and dissociation fully mediated the relationship between recurrent trauma and positive symptoms.Results provide preliminary support for the trauma and social pathways model of psychosis, specifically as it relates to recurrent trauma, insecure attachment and dissociation. Results did not support the social rank component of this model, however. These findings provide clear targets for the development of next‐wave psychological interventions that focus on trauma‐related variables in psychosis. ABSTRACT Patient‐initiated brief admission (PIBA) is an innovative psychiatric care intervention that gives patients the autonomy to initiate a short admission (approximately 1–3 days) to psychiatric inpatient care. This intervention is structured around a mutual agreement between the patient and their care provider that outlines the specific structure and content of their care. Unlike regular psychiatric admissions, healthcare professionals do not review the patient's decision for admission during PIBA. Similar interventions have been developed globally to reduce the need for long inpatient admissions and compulsory care by enhancing patient autonomy, promoting active participation in care, and empowering patients to recognise early signs of mental health deterioration. The objective of this systematic review was to explore the experiences of PIBA among individuals with mental health disorders. A systematic review was conducted using qualitative articles sourced from the PubMed, CINAHL, and PsycINFO databases. A total of thirteen original articles were included in the review, encompassing 186 patients. Research demonstrates that PIBA significantly impacts patients' care experiences in various ways. Access to PIBA gives patients the opportunity to take a break from daily stressors, which has proven significant in interrupting the cycle of worsening symptoms and negative thoughts. Furthermore, when the care environment is characterised by trust and respect, patients experience an increased sense of freedom, which contributes to a more effective recovery process. PIBA provides patients with a sense of safety and offers the possibility of a more functional daily life. Healthcare professionals'attitude and care provision also significantly influences patients' experiences. Central to a positive patient experience are a warm reception, attentiveness, and active listening. PIBA can not only change patients' perceptions of healthcare but, more importantly, fosters a transformative view of themselves as active participants in their own well‐being. Knowledgeable healthcare professionals are crucial for the successful implementation of this intervention. ABSTRACT Risk assessment and management are a fundamental part of clinical practice globally within mental health services. In the United Kingdom (UK), the evidence to support the effectiveness of structured risk assessment and management remains limited, although the perception remains that structured management frameworks are effective in reducing risk in mental health care. Despite the importance of risk management within mental health services, the most recent UK wide guidance was published in 2009, while international guidance for the assessing and management of service user risks also appears sparse. This perspective paper reports on a consultation and co‐production project to provide up‐to‐date best practice principles in clinical risk management to enhance the consistency, quality and safety of mental health practice in the UK mental health services, and for mental health services in other English speaking countries. A three‐stage approach was used including literature review, referral to mental health experts for review and final evaluation and sign off by users of mental health services as experts by experience. Objective Methods Results Conclusion To evaluate the use and impact of pathology tests in patients who present to the ED with mental health‐related complaints. The primary objective is to measure the proportion of patients undergoing pathology tests and assess whether these tests trigger a change in management.In this retrospective study, we reviewed all recorded mental health presentations to our regional ED between January and June 2021. Patient characteristics, pathology tests, subsequent change in management, treatment costs and time to Emergency Physician and Psychiatrist were extracted. Descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis were used to explore associations between variables of interest, ED length of stay (LOS) and change in management.Of 37 900 ED visits, 1462 (3.9%) were mental health‐related presentations. Pathology tests were conducted in 47.7% of cases, with 3% leading to a change in management. Pathology tests were associated with increased treatment costs (45% increase for blood tests, 17% for urine), and increased ED LOS (48%). Patients with coexisting medical conditions were three times more likely to have a change in management.Pathology tests should be reserved for patients with high‐risk features and based on clinical assessment. Research has primarily looked at the presence—or absence—of meaning and hope, and associations with symptom distress and suicidality.These constructs are multi‐faceted and influenced by social, cultural and spiritual/religious contexts. Understanding where clients draw meaning and hope from can provide valuable information to inform case formulation, treatment planning and intervention.This mixed method practice‐based study (N = 233) in an outpatient community clinic (a) elucidated key areas that fuel clients' sense of meaning and hope and (b) explored associations with well‐being.Qualitatively, we identified six domains through thematic analysis: interpersonal, action‐based, transcendent, intrapersonal, environmental/contextual and lacking/searching. A sub‐set of clients also emerged who were lacking in and/or searching for meaning or hope. Quantitatively, one‐way ANOVA results indicated that source diversity was associated with greater well‐being.Findings illustrate that patients draw from culturally and spiritually embedded sources to construct meaning and hope in their lives, with distinctions between areas most salient for meaning, hope and both. Furthermore, having fewer sources of meaning and/or hope may represent a well‐being liability.Therapists should pro‐actively explore and consider ways to bolster patients' sources of meaning and hope, considering evidence of implications for well‐being outcomes. ABSTRACT This study examined patients' experiences of menstrual health in psychiatric inpatient settings in England as reported by staff and patients. Questionnaires were conducted with 67 staff members and 101 people with lived experience of menstruation and treatment on a psychiatric ward. 10 semi‐structured interviews were conducted with people with lived experience. Data were analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. Grouped into overarching themes of institutional and interpersonal environments, four themes were identified: access to menstrual materials; the lack of privacy when menstruating in psychiatric inpatient settings; attitudes and approaches to menstruation; and menstrual support needs and care provision. There was variation among the experiences reported, with some patients receiving dignified care, whilst others described facing ‘degrading’ and ‘dehumanising’ treatments and enhanced feelings of shame and embarrassment around menstruation, in comparison with what they usually experience. This appeared to arise due to the interplay between mental health services overlooking menstruation and the overreliance on restrictive practices. These experiences may be understood as menstrual injustices, period poverty, potentially amounting to neglect and posing iatrogenic harms. Participants also discussed how their mental illness and distress, particularly within the context of trauma and/or eating disorders, shaped their menstrual experiences. However, many patients did not receive adequate support in relation to this. Patients' pain and disorder related to menstruation, or gynaecological conditions, was often described as being dismissed by staff or being viewed as beyond the responsibility of mental health services. ABSTRACT Eating disorders encompass a spectrum of mental health conditions that are characterised by a preoccupation with eating, exercise, body weight or shape. The trajectory of eating disorders can result in hospitalisation for medical complications, such as electrolyte imbalance, extremely low weight and other medical issues that require urgent inpatient attention. Typically, care for adolescents with medically compromised eating disorders occurs in general medical settings, with most care provided by nurses who may or may not have the training and experience to provide quality care for this complex mental health condition. The aim of this scoping review is to examine literature surrounding the experience of nurses caring for adolescents admitted to general medical wards (non‐mental health settings) with medically compromised eating disorders. We used Arksey and O'Malley's (2005) five‐step scoping review process to conduct this review. A systematic search of the literature located 476 relevant papers, and after screening, 10 were included in the final review. Most included papers were qualitative in methodology, with one using a mixed‐methods design. The papers examined in this scoping review found common themes among nurses who were providing care for adolescents with medically compromised eating disorders being cared for in medical wards (non‐mental health settings): a lack of preparation to care for individuals with eating disorders, a high emotional and psychological toll on nurses providing care and a degree of stigma towards adolescents with eating disorders, including a belief that eating disorders were a ‘choice.’ This review indicates that to provide quality and safe care for adolescents with eating disorders admitted to general medical wards, nurses require specialised training. In addition, the care of adolescents with medically compromised eating disorders requires the support of trained mental health nurses, especially where nurses on general medical wards are novice or have limited mental health training. ABSTRACT BACKGROUND METHODS RESULTS IMPLICATIONS FOR SCHOOL HEALTH POLICY, PRACTICE, AND EQUITY CONCLUSIONS While adolescent mental health needs have continued to rise, schools have become a central location for adolescents seeking support for mental health needs, and approximately 96% of public schools in the United States report providing some form of mental health care to students. This study aims to explore school social workers' current challenges and priorities in their roles.Qualitative focus groups with current school social workers in Virginia (N = 16) were conducted for this study. Participants worked in middle and high schools for a minimum of 3 years across the state. Braun and Clarke's steps for thematic analysis were used to guide coding and themes.The current study found 3 primary themes: (1) role confusion due to vast scope of responsibilities within their schools; (2) a disconnect between desired roles and assigned roles and responsibilities; and (3) lack of formal model of service provision.Focus should be placed on the integration of current models of school social work practice to ensure the effective utilization of their services.The study reveals important information regarding the current and future state of school social work practice. Introduction Methods Results Discussion and Conclusions Psychological resilience has emerged as a key construct of interest in the study of substance use. However, very few studies have examined resilience among individuals who are actively using drugs. Furthermore, many studies of psychological resilience have focused on individual‐level factors. This study addresses the call for a more ‘ecological’ approach to the study of resilience by exploring how socio‐structural vulnerabilities may shape individuals' assessment of their own ability to cope.The Peer Harm Reduction of Maryland Outreach Tiered Evaluation study conducted a cross‐sectional survey of people who used opioids in Baltimore, Maryland, USA (n = 565). Resilience was measured using the 10‐item Connor‐Davidson Resilience Scale. We used linear regression to examine the association between resilience and stressors commonly encountered by individuals who use drugs, including both chronic, enduring stressors (e.g., homelessness, food insecurity) and discrete, event‐based stressors (e.g., overdose, arrest).We observed a negative relationship between self‐reported resilience and chronic stressors. Specifically, individuals who reported experiencing three (β = −4.08; p = 0.002) or four (β = −4.67; p = 0.008) types of chronic stress had significantly lower resilience scores. Additionally, we found that an unmet need for mental health treatment was associated with reduced resilience (β = −1.74; p = 0.040) and greater educational attainment was associated with increased resilience (β = 2.13; p = 0.005).Overlapping experiences of socio‐structural vulnerability, as well as access to mental health care, may influence how individuals who use drugs evaluate their own resilience. The psychosocial needs of people with acquired brain injury (ABI) have been neglected based on ableist assumptions of incapability to participate in mental health treatment. Although people without disabilities benefit from evidence‐based mental health supports, these treatments remain inaccessible for those with disabilities after ABI. Discursive simplifications used in dominant conceptualisations of health and disability may maintain this inaccessibility. This paper examines the role of discursive constraints in concealing the complexities of ABI recovery, undermining the gradients of mental health exclusion among different ABI subpopulations, and muddying possibilities for enhancing mental health accessibility. An alternate discourse that challenges disabling societies in service of centring the whole person is proposed. Discursive opportunities are thus created by conceptualising the objective and subjective dimensions of disability as intermeshed, providing both the motivation to incentivise mental health inclusion, as well as a method to achieve it. By recognising the unavoidable impact of bodily impairments on social participation, participatory ideals can be actualised by accommodating ABI‐related disabilities in mental health treatments. The possibilities for transformative research and practice are illuminated through examples of mental health treatments that have been preliminarily adapted using accommodations, and a research agenda for realising these possibilities is proposed. Background: Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) receiving hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) are at high risk of poor psychosocial health. This study aimed to determine whether the Promoting Resilience in Stress Management (PRISM) intervention mitigated these risks during the first 6 months posttransplant. Methods: This multisite, parallel, randomized trial was conducted from April 2019 to March 2023. Eligible AYAs were aged 12–24 years, English speaking, and within 1 month of HCT for cancer or cancer predisposition syndrome. They were assigned 1:1 to PRISM (a brief, skills‐based intervention targeting "resilience resources" [stress management, goal setting, cognitive reframing, and meaning making]) or usual care (UC). Outcomes included total symptoms of depression and anxiety (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale; primary outcome), hope (Snyder Hope Scale), resilience (10‐item Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale), and health‐related quality of life (HRQOL; Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory Cancer Module). Analyses leveraged multivariable linear regressions; exploratory analyses assessed the influence of baseline depression or anxiety. Results: Of 94 enrolled and randomized AYAs, the mean age was 16.7 years (SD, 4.2); 43 (46%) were female, 56 (60%) were non‐Hispanic White, 22 (23%) were Hispanic, and nine (10%) were Black. Most (77%) had leukemia. Of n = 50 randomized to PRISM and n = 44 to UC, 37 (74%) and 33 (73%) completed all study procedures, respectively. In intention‐to‐treat analyses, PRISM did not affect 6‐month depression and anxiety (β = −1.1; 95% CI, −3.7 to 1.5), hope (β = 0.83; 95% CI, −3.3 to 4.9), resilience (β = −0.01; 95% CI, −3.0 to 3.0), or HRQOL (β = 1.5; 95% CI, −4.7 to 7.9). Among AYAs with preexisting anxiety or depression, PRISM recipients reported greater 6‐month improvements in hope (score change, +3.71; SD, 6.9) versus UC recipients (score change, −2.76; SD, 6.5) (p =.04). Conclusions: Resilience coaching did not influence outcomes in this sample. Exploratory findings suggest it may be more effective when directed toward those with concurrent distress. In a randomized trial conducted during the COVID‐19 pandemic among adolescents and young adults receiving hematopoietic cell transplantation for cancer or cancer predisposition, standardized resilience coaching did not influence patient‐reported depression. Introduction Objective Design Findings Discussion Conclusion Growing the mental health peer workforce holds promise for rural communities, but we currently lack an understanding of the guidance available to support the development, implementation and sustainability of this workforce in rural settings.Study aims are to: (1) determine the extent and nature of the literature that provides guidance for growing the peer workforce in rural mental health services; and (2) identify and explore any guidance relevant to rural peer work services dedicated to First Nations communities, including those promoting social and emotional well‐being within this body of literature.A scoping review method was employed to identify relevant peer‐reviewed and grey literature published between 2013 and 2022 across PsychInfo, Medline, Embase and CINAHL, Scopus and Informit HealthInfoNet databases, as well as targeted organisation websites and Google Advanced Search.A total of 26 unique studies/projects were included from the US, UK, Canada and Australia with public mental health, non‐government/for purpose and private sector service settings represented in the literature. Grey literature, such as reports of evaluations and frameworks, formed the majority of included texts. While there is a lesser volume of rurally focused literature relative to the general peer work literature, this is a rich body of knowledge, which includes guidance concerning services dedicated to First Nations communities. Via synthesis critical considerations were identified for the development, implementation and sustainability of peer work in rural mental health services across six domains: ‘Working with community members and stakeholders’, ‘Organisational culture and governance’, Working with others and in teams, Professional expertise and experience, Being part of and working in the community and ‘Local mental health services capacity’.While there are considerations relevant across a range of settings, the domains of: ‘working with community members and stakeholders’, ‘being part of and working in the community’ and ‘local mental health services capacity’, capture additional, distinct and nuanced challenges and opportunities for growing the peer work in rural services.The literature offers insights valuable for service planning, policy development and the allocation of resources to support rural peer workforce growth. ABSTRACT Countries around the world are experiencing both a growing need for mental health services and major gaps in the delivery of mental healthcare. The World Health Organisation's 2022 report on mental health emphasised co‐designed and systems‐level innovations responsive to the voice of those with lived experience. However, evidence for implementing such methodologies is sparse. Group model building (GMB), a participatory systems‐based approach, has been used in various fields, but its application is limited within mental healthcare settings. It is recognised as a valuable tool for engaging stakeholders, including those with lived experience, in understanding and redesigning health systems and services. The participatory approach aligns with the mental health sector's shift towards co‐design and person‐centred care. This study assessed the acceptability of GMB as a method for co‐design within mental healthcare, aiming to explore its potential for meaningful collaborative improvement and systems‐level insights. Participants from a regional Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Service (MHDAS) engaged in GMB workshops and focus groups. Eighteen individuals, including lived experience workers and healthcare professionals, provided feedback that informed adjustments to the workshops' design, language, timing and facilitation techniques, enhancing GMB's relevance for mental health co‐design. The findings demonstrate the value and acceptability of the adapted GMB process in acute mental healthcare, marking a significant step towards evidence‐based, person‐centred service improvement. This study highlights the potential effectiveness of participatory methods in identifying and addressing systemic challenges, paving the way for future mental health reforms. Future work will focus on implementing and evaluating co‐designed interventions, aiming for more inclusive and effective mental healthcare and advancing innovation and reform in the field. ABSTRACT Mental health service integration currently has no consensus definition and exists in a variety of settings, including primary care, addiction treatment and chronic disease management, and mental health nurses have often experienced efforts at service integration with varying degrees of success. The intent of mental health service integration is to enable collaboration between mental health services and other healthcare providers to improve service access and the care provided to individuals with mental health issues or mental illness. This scoping review aimed to explore service integration between mental health services and with a specific focus on those evaluated in peer‐reviewed, primary literature, to determine facilitators and barriers to service integration. Using the Arksey and O'Malley's framework for scoping reviews, we located 3148 studies, with screening narrowing final papers for inclusion to 18. Facilitators to service integration included clinician education, adequate resourcing and an interdisciplinary approach, while barriers included staff factors such as a reluctance to work with individuals with mental illness, consumer level barriers such as poor mental health literacy, ‘territorialism’ among staff and organisational climate. Research indicates that service integration is an effective means to detect and treat mental health issues in settings that do not traditionally provide mental health care, lowering the costs of providing healthcare and providing improved care for mental health needs; however, there are several barriers to be addressed to achieve full implementation of integration models.
