Chrysanthemum morifolium is cultivated worldwide and has high ornamental, tea, and medicinal value. With the increasing area of chrysanthemum cultivation and years of continuous cropping, Fusarium wilt disease frequently occurs in various production areas, seriously affecting the quality and yield and causing huge economic losses. However, the molecular response mechanism of Fusarium wilt infection remains unclear, which limits the molecular breeding process for disease resistance in chrysanthemums. In the present study, we analyzed the molecular response mechanisms of 'Huangju,' one of the tea chrysanthemum cultivars severely infested with Fusarium wilt in the field at the early, middle, and late phases of F. oxysporum infestation. 'Huangju' responded to the infestation mainly through galactose metabolism, plant‐pathogen interaction, auxin, abscisic acid, and ethylene signalling in the early phase; galactose metabolism, plant‐pathogen interaction, auxin, salicylic acid signal, and certain transcription factors (e.g., CmWRKY48) in the middle phase; and galactose metabolism in the late phase. Notably, the galactose metabolism was important in the early, middle, and late phases of 'Huangju' response to F. oxysporum. Meanwhile, the phytohormone auxin was involved in the early and middle responses. Furthermore, silencing of CmWRKY48 in 'Huangju' resulted in resistance to F. oxysporum. Our results revealed a new molecular pattern for chrysanthemum in response to Fusarium wilt in the early, middle, and late phases, providing a foundation for the molecular breeding of chrysanthemum for disease resistance. Electrochromic devices (ECDs) are a hot pot due to their significant energy‐saving effect in green buildings. However, the ECDs suffer from degradation induced by ion trapping during cycling, which restricts their further development. Here, it is demonstrated that the electrochromic performance of the degraded ECDs can be rejuvenated by heat treatment method The release mechanism of trapped ions in films is simulated and validated using three types of ECDs. The semi‐solid‐state ECD evinces a state of near‐failure at low temperatures can regain its initial performance by heating. All‐solid‐state ECDs, including amorphous WO3 (a‐WO3 ECD) and crystalline WO3 (c‐WO3 ECD) as the electrochromic layer, can also release the trapped ions and regain the performance (97.3% and 95.5% of initial optical modulation) by annealing, regardless of the way of degradation. Orientation estimation is one of the core problems in several computer vision tasks. Recently deep learning techniques combined with the Bingham distribution have attracted considerable interest towards this problem when considering ambiguities and rotational symmetries of objects. However, existing works suffer from two issues. First, the computational overhead for calculating the normalisation constant of the Bingham distribution is relatively high. Second, the choice of loss functions is uncertain. In light of these problems, we present an online deep Bingham network to estimate the orientation of objects. We sharply reduce the computational overhead of the normalisation constant by directly applying a numerical integration formula. Additionally, we are the first to give theorems on the convexity and Lipschitz continuity of the Bingham distribution's negative log‐likelihood, which formally indicates that it is a proper choice of the loss function. We test our method on three public datasets, namely the UPNA, the T‐LESS and Pascal3D+, showing that our method outperforms the state‐of‐the‐art in terms of orientation accuracy and time efficiency, which can reduce the runtime by more than 6 h compared to the offline methods. Summary: Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) can significantly reduce the occurrence of early food allergy in infants (by up to 50%) by improving intestinal flora. Lacto‐N‐biose (LNB) is a potential factor for the selective growth of Bifidobacteria. Despite these observations, little is known about whether LNB, the core component of HMOs, can alleviate infant milk allergy by improving intestinal flora. Herein, in vitro simulated digestion and fermentation of LNB and its interactions with allergic infant gut microbiota were investigated. The results showed that LNB was stable under the digestion conditions of mouth, stomach and small intestine. It also could obviously modulate the composition of gut microbiota, representing the increases of the relative abundances of Bifidobacterium (65.62%), Enterococcus (6.95%), Lactobacillus (2.01%) and Blautia (2.17%). Especially, Bifidobacterium adolescentis (5.45%) and Bifidobacterium breve (23.18%) were preponderantly existed in the milk‐allergic infant intestinal flora, compared to the normal infant intestinal microbiota (P < 0.5). However, LNB treatment significantly decreased the abundance of B. adolescentis (0.18%), but largely increased the relative abundance of B. bifidum (40.63%), in comparison with the allergic infant group (8.29%) (P < 0.05). In addition, short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs), either their individuals or total productions were all increased with the treatment of LNB (195.47 mM), compared to the normal control (138.05 mM) and allergic infant groups (56.89 mM) (P < 0.05). These findings will contribute to a better understanding of the protective effects of LNB in allergic diseases and provide new insights into a potential approach to relieve infant food allergy. This paper employs a discontinuous temporary immunity control to obtain the periodic orbit for a class of delayed malicious signal transmission model in wireless sensor networks under the framework of differential inclusion. The positivity and boundedness of the solution for the discontinuous system is proved first. Then, by using the Kakutani's fixed point theorem of set‐valued maps, the existence of a periodic orbit is obtained under some assumptions and constraints. Furthermore, the globally exponentially stable ω$$ \omega $$‐periodic orbit is investigated using the Lyapunov functional method. The obtained results can help us better understand the dynamic characteristics of discontinuous delayed systems and have direct applications to the wireless sensor networks for guaranteeing fast response to malicious signals. In this paper, asymptotic stabilization problem for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown time‐varying delays is addressed. With the introduced static gain functions and new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals, a novel output feedback control strategy is developed. A memoryless output feedback controller which does not need precise knowledge of time delays is designed. The asymptotic stabilization and the boundedness of the closed‐loop system are proved via Lyapunov analysis. Purpose: Surface‐based image‐to‐patient registration in current surgical navigation is mainly achieved by a 3D scanner, which has several limitations in clinical practice such as uncontrollable scanning range, complicated operation, and even high failure rate. An accurate, robust, and easy‐to‐perform image‐to‐patient registration method is urgently required. Methods: An incremental point cloud registration method was proposed for surface‐based image‐to‐patient registration. The point cloud in image space was extracted from the computed tomography (CT) image, and a template matching method was applied to remove the redundant points. The corresponding point cloud in patient space was incrementally collected by an optically tracked pointer, while the nearest point distance (NPD) constraint was applied to ensure the uniformity of the collected points. A coarse‐to‐fine registration method under the constraints of coverage ratio (CR) and outliers ratio (OR) was then proposed to obtain the optimal rigid transformation from image to patient space. The proposed method was integrated in the recently developed endoscopic navigation system, and phantom study and clinical trials were conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Results: The results of the phantom study revealed that the proposed constraints greatly improved the accuracy and robustness of registration. The comparative experimental results revealed that the proposed registration method significantly outperform the scanner‐based method, and achieved comparable accuracy to the fiducial‐based method. In the clinical trials, the average registration duration was 1.24 ± 0.43 min, the target registration error (TRE) of 294 marker points (59 patients) was 1.25 ± 0.40 mm, and the lower 97.5% confidence limit of the success rate of positioning marker points exceeds the expected value (97.56% vs. 95.00%), revealed that the accuracy of the proposed method significantly met the clinical requirements (TRE ⩽ 2 mm, p < 0.05). Conclusions: The proposed method has both the advantages of high accuracy and convenience, which were absent in the scanner‐based method and the fiducial‐based method. Subaqueous mass‐transport processes are one of the mechanisms for transport of sediment into the deep sea. Internal structures and depositional processes of carbonate mass‐transport deposits are relatively poorly understood relative to siliciclastic facies due to their comparative paucity in the rock record. A variety of carbonate mass‐transport deposits, including slumps, debrites and deep‐channel‐confined density flow deposits, occur in Middle–Upper Ordovician slope deposits in western Inner Mongolia (Wuhai), China. These provide a rare opportunity to illustrate the emplacement history of carbonate mass‐transport deposits at the outcrop scale. The slumps and debrites host remarkable folds, chaotic beds and imbricated beds that reflect differences in both rheology and position on the slope. Individual slump sheets show gradations between undulating laminae, inclined and recumbent folds, highly deformed folds, and chaotic textures upslope from the toe region. Debrites are commonly interbedded with slump deposits, whereas imbricated beds are present in the middle and lower parts of the toes of slump sheets near the terminal wall. In the study area, thin‐bedded limestone with slump deposits of the Kelimoli Formation are overlain by fine‐grained, siliciclastic‐dominated, slope deposits of the Wulalike Formation. A thick breccia of the Wulalike Formation was deposited in a main feeder channel in south‐east Wuhai, but to the west‐north‐west the breccia was deposited in distributary channels possibly represented as a unique lower‐slope pattern of gullies. At the latter locality, the breccia was deposited solely within the channels on a steep west‐north‐west dipping slope under density‐driven flows. The mass‐transport deposits documented herein records passive to foreland basin tectonic transitions, and associated platform foundering and steepening of the slope. A slope facies model was constructed to demonstrate the spatial and temporal variations of mass‐transport deposits during basin evolution, and as such it provides a template for the interpretation of the deposits of ancient slopes that underwent passive to active tectonic transitions. In recent years, cross‐modal retrieval has been a popular research topic in both fields of computer vision and natural language processing. There is a huge semantic gap between different modalities on account of heterogeneous properties. How to establish the correlation among different modality data faces enormous challenges. In this work, we propose a novel end‐to‐end framework named Dual Multi‐Angle Self‐Attention (DMASA) for cross‐modal retrieval. Multiple self‐attention mechanisms are applied to extract fine‐grained features for both images and texts from different angles. We then integrate coarse‐grained and fine‐grained features into a multimodal embedding space, in which the similarity degrees between images and texts can be directly compared. Moreover, we propose a special multistage training strategy, in which the preceding stage can provide a good initial value for the succeeding stage and make our framework work better. The in situ zircon U‐Pb‐Lu‐Hf isotope records from end‐Permian volcanic interlayers in southwest China, integrated with previous studies, restructure the evolutionary history of the Yangtze Craton from Precambrian to Late Paleozoic. This includes early continental crust formation before ∼3.0 Ga and massive juvenile crustal growth at 2.6–2.4 Ga; large‐scale crustal reworking at ∼2.1–1.7 Ga; Neoproterozoic crust addition at ∼1.1 to 0.7 Ga; collision and subduction along the craton margin between ∼700–541 Ma; Early Ordovician to Late Silurian magmatism; and large tectono‐thermal events in the Middle Carboniferous to end‐Permian. Some zircons with TMD2 ages from 4.40 to 4.01 Ga and lower initial 176Hf/177Hf values of 0.280592 to 0.280726 may imply the existence of Hadean crust relics beneath the Yangtze Craton and their provenances could be associated with Hadean crustal remelting. This study further clarifies that the Precambrian‐age zircons between the end‐Permian volcanic interlayers, the complexes in the western margin of the Yangtze Craton, and the sedimentary Kangdian Basin, may share an affinity based on similar U‐Pb age spectra and Hf isotope features. It also shows that the Neoproterozoic tectono‐thermal event may be associated with large‐scale tectono‐rifting activity, which is different from the Grenville‐age continental collision between Yangtze and Cathaysia blocks in South China. The above findings support the inference of a widespread Archean basement extending to the western Yangtze Craton and a provenance in the Kangdian Basin that is derived from the weathering and erosion of Paleoproterozoic continental crust. The rapid enhancement of the thermoelectric (TE) figure‐of‐merit (zT) in the past decade has opened opportunities for developing and transitioning solid state waste heat recovery systems. Here, a segmented TE device architecture is demonstrated in conjunction with heterogeneous material integration that results in high unicouple‐level conversion efficiency of 12% under a temperature difference of 584 K. This breakthrough is the result of success in fabricating bismuth telluride/half‐Heusler segmented TE unicouple modules using a "hot‐to‐cold" fabrication technique that provides significantly reduced electrical and thermal contact resistance. Extensive analytical and finite element modeling is conducted to provide an understanding of the nature of thermal transport and contributions arising from various thermal and physical parameters. Bismuth telluride/half‐Heusler based segmented thermoelectric generators (TEGs) can provide higher practical temperature difference with optimum average zT across the whole operating range. These results will have immediate impact on the design and development of TEGs and in the general design of devices based upon heterostructures that take advantage of gradients in the figure of merit. Curcumol (Cur), which is the primary active anti‐liver cancer component of Chinese traditional medicine Rhizoma zedoariae, was encapsulated in galactosylated liposomes to enhance its liver‐targeting efficacy. In this study, we optimized the preparation methods, prescription, and process of galactosylated curcumol liposomes (Gal‐Cur‐L). The experimental results showed that the encapsulation efficiency, particle diameter, and stability coefficient of Gal‐Cur‐L obtained by the two‐step emulsification method were improved compared with those of it obtained by other methods. Single‐factor investigation showed that two factors, pH and the amount of triolein, contribute at least partly to the encapsulation efficiency and particle diameter of Gal‐Cur‐L. The best prescription and process were obtained through orthogonal test: the ratio of lecithin to cholesterol was 2:1, the ratio of drug to lipid was 1:2, and the amount of ether and Twain‐80 were 4 ml and 1.6 g/L, respectively, 15 min for ultrasonic time, 100 W for ultrasonic power, and 20 min for homogeneous time. Using the best method, prescription, and process mentioned earlier, the basic test results of Gal‐Cur‐L were obtained, which demonstrated that our methods, prescription, and process of Gal‐Cur‐L were applicable. This paper investigates the periodic solution of a delayed Beddington‐DeAngelis (BD) type predator‐prey model with discontinuous control strategy. Firstly, the regularity and visibility analysis of the delayed predator‐prey model is carried out by using the principle of differential inclusion. Secondly, the positiveness and boundeness of the solution is discussed by employing the comparison theorem. Based on the boundary conditions of the model and the Mawhin‐like coincidence theorem, it is shown that the solution of the delayed BD system is asymptotically stable in finite time. Furthermore, it is found that there exists at least one periodic solution of the nonautonomous delayed predator‐prey model by using the principle of topological degree and set value mapping. Specially, when the nonautonomous delayed BD system degenerates into an autonomous system, some criteria are obtained to guarantee the convergence behavior of the harvesting solutions for the corresponding autonomous delayed BD system. Finally, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of main results. The Chinese translations of H. C. Andersen's tales date back more than 100 years. His tales have been extensively read by Chinese readers and have provided rich resources and inspiration for Chinese authors. Ultimately, Andersen's tales have achieved various forms of afterlife in China through translation and the reading of translated texts. At the same time, this afterlife has also enriched meanings of Andersen's tales that were not carried in their original texts. The original texts, their translations and the Chinese modern literary works as post‐texts have thus woven a net that meshes various types of intertextual relation created by translation practices. The present study will try to present these relations through textual analysis. In addition, through analysing the intertextual relations created by literary translation, this study also attempts to stimulate greater academic interest in the cultural and literary functions of translation, which are two of the important social functions that translation practices may fulfil. Highly effective electromagnetic (EM) wave absorber materials with strong reflection loss (RL) and a wide absorption bandwidth (EBW) in gigahertz (GHz) frequencies are crucial for advanced wireless applications and portable electronics. Traditional microwave absorbers lack magnetic loss and struggle with impedance matching, while ferrites are stable, exhibit excellent magnetic and dielectric losses, and offer better impedance matching. However, achieving the desired EBW in ferrites remains a challenge, necessitating further composition design. In this study, impedance matching is successfully enhanced and EBW in Ni–Zn ferrite is broadened by successive doping with Mn and Co , without incorporation of any polymer filler. It is found that Ni0.4Co0.1Zn0.5Fe1.9Mn0.1O4 material exhibits exceptional EM wave absorption, with a maximum RL of −48.7 dB. It also featured a significant EBW of 10.8 GHz, maintaining a 90% absorption rate (RL < −10 dB) for a thickness of 4.5 mm. These outstanding properties result from substantial magnetic losses and favorable impedance matching. These findings represent a significant step forward in the development of microwave absorber materials, addressing EM wave pollution concerns within GHz frequencies, including the frequency band used in popular 5G technology. The real‐time tracking process of dim targets in space is mainly achieved through the correlation and prediction of dots after the detection and calculation process. The on‐board calculation of the tracking needs to be completed in milliseconds, and it needs to reach the microsecond level at high frame rates. For real‐time tracking of dim targets in space, it is necessary to achieve universal tracking calculation acceleration in response to different space regions and complex backgrounds, which poses high requirements for engineering implementation architecture. This paper designs a Kalman filter calculation based on digital logic parallel acceleration architecture for real‐time solution of dim target tracking on‐board. A unified architecture of Vector Processing Element (VPE) was established for the calculation of Kalman filtering matrix, and an array computing structure based on VPE was designed to decompose the entire filtering process and form a parallel pipelined data stream. The prediction errors under different fixed point bit widths were analyzed and deduced, and the guidance methods for selecting the optimal bit width based on the statistical results were provided. The entire design was engineered based on Xilinx's XC7K325T, resulting in an energy efficiency improvement compared to previous designs. The single iteration calculation time does not exceed 0.7 microseconds, which can meet the current high frame rate target tracking requirements. It is challenging to perform automatic speech recognition when multiple people talk simultaneously. To solve this problem, speaker‐aware selective methods have been proposed to extract the speech of the target speaker, relying on the auxiliary speaker characteristics provided by an anchor (a clean audio sample of the target speaker). However, the extraction performance depends on the duration and quality of the anchors, which is unstable. To address this limitation, the authors propose a target speaker extraction network (TEnet) which applies the robust speaker embedding to extract the target speech from the speech mixture. To get more stable speaker characteristics during training, the robust speaker embeddings are accumulated over all the speech of each target speaker, rather than utilising the embedding produced by a single anchor. As for testing, very few anchors are enough to get decent extraction performance. Results show the TEnet trained with accumulated embedding achieves better performance and robustness compared with the single‐anchored TEnet. Moreover, to exploit the potential of the speaker embedding, the authors propose to feed the extracted target speech as anchor and train a feedback TEnet, whose results are superior to the short‐anchored baseline for 22.5% on word error rate and 15.5% on signal‐to‐distortion rate. It has been widely accepted that the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) can influence the global climate and thus improvement of its understanding is beneficial to our society. In this study, we show that the April snow cover extents (SCEs) over Tibetan Plateau and the central Eurasia may play an important role on triggering the occurrence of IOD. The correlation coefficient between the April SCE indices and the subsequent September–November dipole mode indices is −0.51 in the recent 40 years, significant at the 99% confidence level. In years with the larger April SCEs, the thermally driven ascending over the plateau becomes weaker and causes anomalous subsidence over the plateau and its southern contiguous region. This, together with the cooler‐than‐normal continent, can delay the onset of Bay of Bengal (BOB) summer monsoon. As a result, the northwards migration of the major rainbelt from the eastern tropical Indian Ocean to the eastern BOB in accordance with the monsoon onset will be delayed, leading to increased precipitation in the eastern tropical Indian Ocean. The increased precipitation may lead to generation of the negative IOD through the local air–sea interactions. The observed April SCEs–IOD relation has been examined in historical runs of 19 coupled models participating phase 5 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5). Most models except MRI‐CGCM3 fail to reproduce the observed April SCEs–IOD relationship. This is probably due to their difficulties in realistically simulating the snow impacts on the BOB summer monsoon and the air–sea coupling during the IOD development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: The cascaded reservoirs in the Upper Yangtze River Basin (UYRB) are subject to sediment inflow and deposition, resulting in reduction in their effective capacity. The sediment trap efficiency (TE) of the cascaded reservoirs was estimated using several empirical methods, and the factors affecting the TE also were analysed. A new empirical formula was obtained to calculate the TE of the small reservoirs (storage capacity C < 0.5 km3) in the UYRB. Further, four zones were partitioned to describe the relationship between the sediment trap effect and the service function of the reservoirs. The TEs of Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba and Ertan Reservoirs in the UYRB were investigated and compared between stand‐alone and combined operation modes, indicating the TE will be underestimated without considering the cumulative sediment trap of the cascaded reservoirs. Finally, the lifespan of the Xiluodu Reservoir, considering different water storage schemes and different capacity loss percentages, was estimated using the TE method and exhibited good agreement with the results calculated by the mathematical model. The derived TE calculation method under the combined operation of the cascaded reservoirs can be used to assess the sediment trap from the complex hydroelectric project system in the UYRB. Summary: This paper concentrates on the robust stabilization of fractional‐order plant suffering from general interval uncertainties by using fractional‐order controllers. General interval uncertainties mean that the coefficients and orders of the denominator and nominator of the fractional‐order plant are all uncertain and lie in specified intervals. Two main contributions are presented, as follows. (i) Based on a graphical method, a necessary and sufficient criterion is proposed for the stabilization of the general interval fractional‐order plant. By adopting some well‐defined multivalue functions, the proposed method can explicitly construct the nonconvex boundary of the value set of the fractional system. (ii) Two alternative methods are presented to improve the computational efficiency of the stabilization test. Based on a newly developed redundancy elimination technique, the first method can avoid computing and plotting many segments, which are in the interior of the value set of the fractional system. The second method utilizes a novel convex polygon bounding approach. It can efficiently construct a convex polygon to bound the nonconvex value set of the general interval fractional system. The present article will try to encompass the complexity of ITr by looking into the reasons for translating indirectly, the challenge of finding out mediating texts ( MTs), indirectness in both translation and interpretation, and the possible influences the two types of indirectness can bring to the translated images of a foreign literary work, as well as the validity of a prevailing and lasting hypothesis about ITr. In the course of the discussion, the ITr(s) in the Chinese translations of Andersen's tales, most of which have been translated and interpreted indirectly through major languages like English, will be employed as examples. Information ordering is a nontrivial task in multi-document summarization (MDS), which typically relies on the traditional vector space model (VSM) notorious for semantic deficiency. In this article, we propose a novel event-enriched VSM to alleviate the problem by building event semantics into sentence representations. The mediation of event information between sentence and term, especially in the news domain, has an intuitive appeal as well as technical advantage in common sentence-level operations such as sentence similarity computation. Inspired by the block-style writing by humans, we base the sentence ordering algorithm on sentence clustering. To accommodate the complexity introduced by event information, we adopt a soft-to-hard clustering strategy on the event and sentence levels, using expectation-maximization clustering and K-means, respectively. For the purpose of cluster-based sentence ordering, the event-enriched VSM enables us to design an ordering algorithm to enhance event coherence computed between sentence and sentence-context pairs. Drawing on the findings of earlier research, we also incorporate topic continuity measures and time information into the scheme. We evaluate the performance of the model and its variants automatically and manually, with experimental results showing clear advantage of the event-based model over baseline and non-event-based models in information ordering for multi-document news summarization. Phase-pure scheelite-type solid solution SrMo1- xW xO4 oxides ( x = 0.05, 0.15, 0.25, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.75, 0.85, 0.95) were synthesized by solvothermal methods and subsequently thermally treated in ammonia atmosphere at temperatures between 700 and 900 °C. As revealed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and neutron diffraction as well as elemental analysis data, SrMo1- xW xO4 convert into their corresponding solid solution perovskite-type oxynitrides SrMo1- xW x(O, N)3 only for x ≤ 0.25 and x ≥ 0.6; whereas for 0.25 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 the formation of Sr3WO6 with double perovskite structure and of other binary oxides and nitrides was observed. The solid solution oxynitrides were investigated concerning their magnetic properties. Thus, the magnetic susceptibility of the SrMo1- xW x(O, N)3 oxynitride samples was measured by Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID). The influence of different parameters (such as phase composition, ratio between Mo and W or nitrogen content) on the magnetic behavior in the solid solution oxynitrides is briefly discussed. Design guidelines for traditional cultural artefacts play an important role in Culturally Inspired Design (CID) activities and design education. In this paper, a comparative study was performed to assess the impact of present‐day design guidelines for traditional Chinese cultural artefacts on novice designers in a CID process. In all, 42 novice designers enrolled in a cultural product design course participated in this study, under two different design conditions: an unaided condition and a guideline‐aided condition. Each condition includes three stages: identification stage, translation stage and implementation stage. In the unaided condition, each participant was asked to finish an investigative report on traditional cultural artefacts without any guidance and then carry out a detailed cultural product design. These results were then compared with those of the participants in the guideline‐aided condition, who received a design guideline for traditional cultural artefacts. The results were assessed by expert raters against six design metrics: breadth, depth, quantity, variety, novelty and quality. They revealed that the design guideline for traditional cultural artefacts in a CID process promoted the analysis of cultural features and increased the novelty and quality of design outcomes but resulted in decreased variety. We propose that the design guideline for traditional cultural artefacts may be useful as part of the design process and as a pedagogical tool in cultural creative design, but the best moment at which to introduce the design guideline should be further examined. A facile and effective method was introduced into this article to modify carbon black (CB). Fourier-transform infrared spectrum demonstrates the chemical structure of CB has obviously changed after surface modification. Compared with pure CB, the thermogravimetric analysis illustrates thermal behavior of modified CB (MCB) exhibits a well-defined difference from CB. Besides, aggregation phenomenon existed in CB is weakened evidently after surface modification. A series of polystyrene (PS) composite beads in presence of MCB were synthesized via in situ suspension polymerization process. The effects of benzoyl peroxide dosage and MCB dosage on the polymerization time of PS composite beads were systematically researched. After modification, the inhibition effect of MCB on the polymerization of PS/MCB composite beads is obviously weakened. The dispersion of MCB in PS/MCB composite beads is greatly improved than that of CB in PS/CB composite beads. Purpose: This study investigates immediate efficacy and safety of intravenous application of de novo lacosamide (LCM) as add-on therapy in patients with pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy. Methods: During presurgical video-electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring, 17 adult inpatients received LCM infusion (200 mg every 12 h for 2-3 days) followed by oral formulation with the same regimen. Before and after intravenous application of LCM, seizures and interictal epileptiform discharges (IEDs) recorded with continuous video-EEG monitoring were analyzed, and an assessment of adverse events (AEs) was performed daily. To evaluate the midterm tolerability and efficacy, follow-up visits were conducted 1 and 3 months after discharge from hospital. Key Findings: In the acute phase, intravenous initiation of LCM was well tolerated with few mild or moderate AEs (3 of 17, 17.6%). A significant reduction of seizure frequency in the treatment phase as compared to mean seizure frequency in the 2-day baseline phase was achieved (p < 0.05 for the first treatment day, and p < 0.005 for the second treatment day). On the first treatment day, 61.5% of the patients were seizure free, and 84.6% on the second treatment day. IED reduction after intravenous application of LCM was not significant. After 1 month, the 50% responder rate was 46.6% and after the 3-month period, 42.8%. Sentence clustering plays a pivotal role in theme-based summarization, which discovers topic themes defined as the clusters of highly related sentences to avoid redundancy and cover more diverse information. As the length of sentences is short and the content it contains is limited, the bag-of-words cosine similarity traditionally used for document clustering is no longer suitable. Special treatment for measuring sentence similarity is necessary. In this article, we study the sentence-level clustering problem. After exploiting concept- and context-enriched sentence vector representations, we develop two co-clustering frameworks to enhance sentence-level clustering for theme-based summarization-integrated clustering and interactive clustering-both allowing word and document to play an explicit role in sentence clustering as independent text objects rather than using word or concept as features of a sentence in a document set. In each framework, we experiment with two-level co-clustering (i.e., sentence-word co-clustering or sentence-document co-clustering) and three-level co-clustering (i.e., document-sentence-word co-clustering). Compared against concept- and context-oriented sentence-representation reformation, co-clustering shows a clear advantage in both intrinsic clustering quality evaluation and extrinsic summarization evaluation conducted on the Document Understanding Conferences (DUC) datasets. The existence of structural ambiguity in modifying clauses renders noun phrase (NP) extraction from running Chinese texts complicated. It is shown from previous experiments that nearly 33% of the errors in an NP extractor were actually caused by the use of clause modifiers. For example, consider the sequence “V + NP[sub 1]+ (of) + NP[sub 0].” It can be interpreted as two alternatives, a verb phrase (i.e., [V[NP[sub 1]+ + NP[sub 0]][sub NP]][sub VP]) or a noun phrase (i.e., [[V NP[sub 1]][sub VP]+ + NP[sub 0]][sub NP]). To resolve this ambiguity, syntactical, contextual, and semantics-based approaches are investigated in this article. The conclusion is that the problem can be overcome only when the semantic knowledge about words is adopted. Therefore, a structural disambiguation algorithm based on lexical association is proposed. The algorithm uses the semantic class relation between a word pair derived from a standard Chinese thesaurus, , to work out whether a noun phrase or a verb phrase has a stronger lexical association within the collocation. This can, in turn, determine the intended phrase structure. With the proposed algorithm, the best accuracy and coverage are 79% and 100%, respectively. Immunity imbalance of T helper 17 (Th17)/regulatory T (Treg) cells is involved in the pathogenesis of Crohn's disease (CD). Complanatuside A (CA), a flavonol glycoside, exerts anti‐inflammatory activities and our study aimed to identify its effect on TNBS‐induced colitis and the possible mechanisms. We found that CA alleviated the symptoms of colitis in TNBS mice, as demonstrated by prevented weight loss and colon length shortening, as well as decreased disease activity index scores, inflammatory scores, and levels of proinflammatory factors. Flow cytometry analysis showed that CA markedly reduced the percentage of Th17 cells while increasing the percentage of Treg cells in TNBS mice. Under Th17 cell polarizing conditions, CA inhibited the differentiation of Th17 cells while the Treg cell differentiation was elevated under Treg cell polarizing conditions. Furthermore, it was observed that JAK2 interacted with CA through six hydrogen bonds via molecular docking. The phosphorylation of JAK2/STAT3 was reduced by CA, which might be correlated with the protective effect of CA on colitis. In conclusion, CA reduced the imbalance of Th17/Treg cells by inhibiting the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway in TNBS‐induced colitis, which may provide novel strategies for CD treatment. Manganese (Mn) oxides are promising cathode materials for rechargeable aqueous Zn‐ion batteries. However, the Mn dissolution in weakly acidic electrolytes always hinders the development of better aqueous Zn–Mn batteries. Herein, a hydroxylated manganese oxide cathode material (H‐MnO2) is fabricated using an electrochemical method for stable aqueous Zn–Mn batteries without relying on the Mn2+ electrolyte additives. The partial hydroxylation of the oxides leads to charge redistribution of the material, changing the reaction thermodynamics and kinetics. Theoretical simulation suggests that the hydroxylation of manganese oxide promotes both Zn2+ adsorption thermodynamics and diffusion kinetics on the surface of H‐MnO2 but weakens the interaction between H+ and the electrode. Therefore, Zn2+ ions can be more reactive with the hydroxylated manganese oxide than H+ ions. Experimental results show that the Zn2+ insertion mechanism dominates the charge storage process of H‐MnO2, and the H+‐induced Mn dissolution reaction is effectively alleviated. Importantly, H‐MnO2 exhibits good cycling stability with 95% capacity retention over 5000 cycles at the current density of 3.8 A g−1 in the ZnSO4 electrolyte, outperforming the state‐of‐the‐art aqueous Zn–Mn batteries, even those with Mn2+ electrolyte additives. Monolithically integrated solar flow batteries (SFBs) hold promise as compact stand‐alone energy systems for off‐grid solar electrification. Although considerable research is devoted to studying and improving the round‐trip efficiency of SFBs, little attention is paid to the device lifetime. Herein, a neutral pH aqueous electrolyte SFB with robust organic redox couples and inexpensive silicon‐based photoelectrodes is demonstrated. Enabled by the excellent stability of both electrolytes and protected photoelectrodes, this SFB device exhibits not only unprecedented stable continuous cycling performance over 200 h but also a capacity utilization rate higher than 80%. Moreover, through comprehensive study on the working mechanisms of SFBs, a new theory based on instantaneous solar‐to‐output electricity efficiency toward more optimized device design is developed and a significantly improved solar‐to‐output electricity efficiency of 5.4% from single‐junction silicon photoelectrodes is realized. The demand for high‐performance materials in thermoelectric (TE) technology has driven continuous efforts to enhance the performance of commercialized Bi2Te3‐based thermoelectric materials. Here, we report success in achieving significant performance improvements in n‐type Bi2Te2.8Se0.2S0.01 through the implementation of a hot extrusion manufacturing process. This tailored manufacturing process has yielded a desired microstructure characterized by grain growth and preferred orientations. The resulting enlarged grain‐based microstructure exhibits reduced dislocations and defects that originated from plastic deformation during extrusion and post annealing. As such, the charge carrier mobility is significantly enhanced, leading to an ultrahigh power factor of approximately 51 μW cm−1 K−2 at ambient temperature. Consequently, a maximum figure of merit (zT) of 1.12 is achieved at 348 K in the combination of extrusion and annealing procedures. Using the synthesized n‐type Bi2Te2.8Se0.2S0.01 material, full‐scale cooling modules have been fabricated. These modules demonstrate record cooling performance, with a maximum temperature difference (ΔT) of 73.9 K at a hot‐side temperature of 300 K and a maximum cooling power density of 2.2 W cm−2. Tomographic synthetic aperture radar (TomoSAR) possesses 3D imaging capability, making it significant for building reconstruction using TomoSAR data. The reconstruction algorithm is closely related to building point cloud detection, while traditional detection methods suffer from low automation and reliance on manual configuration. This study proposes a building point cloud reconstruction method based on deep learning semantic segmentation. Initially, deep learning method is employed for end‐to‐end building point cloud segmentation, followed by point cloud reconstruction based on the segmentation results. The proposed method is simple and efficient, elevating the level of automation in point cloud processing. Background: Sodium‐glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) is reported to reduce incident atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with or without diabetes; however, its cardiovascular (CV) benefit for AF patients remains unclear.SS Aims: To investigate the effect of SGLT2i on the incidence of CV events in patients with AF. Methods: Six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the effects of SGLT2i on CV outcomes in patients with or without AF were included (PROSPERO: CRD 42023431535). The primary endpoint was the composite outcome of heart failure (HF) hospitalization and CV death. Additionally, we assessed the effects of treatment in prespecified subgroups on HF hospitalization, CV death, and all‐cause mortality. Results: Among 38,529 participants from all trials, 5018 patients with AF were treated with SGLT2i. The follow‐up period of these trials ranged from 2.3 to 3.3 years. SGLT2i treatment was significantly associated with the risk reduction of primary endpoint in patients with AF (risk ratio [RR] 0.81, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.74–0.88; p < 0.001), consistent with the finding in the general population (p for interaction = 0.76). SGLT2i was also associated with a consistent reduction in the risk of HF hospitalization in patients with AF (RR 0.76, 95% CI 0.69–0.84; p < 0.001) or not (RR 0.72, 95% CI 0.64–0.80; p < 0.0001), with no statistical difference between them (p for interaction = 0.41). Meta‐regression further revealed no significant association between the prevalence of HF with reduced ejection fraction or diabetes and the effect size of SGLT2i. To fulfill the demands of more bandwidth in 5G and 6G communication technology, new dielectric substrates that can be co‐fired into packages and devices that have low dielectric loss and improved thermal conductivity are desired. The motivation for this study is to design composites with low dielectric loss (tan δ) and high thermal conductivity (κ), while still limiting the electrical conductivity, for microwave applications involving high power and high frequency. This work describes the fabrication of high‐density electroceramic composites with a model dielectric material for cold sintering, namely sodium molybdate (Na2Mo2O7), and fillers with higher thermal conductivity such as hexagonal boron nitride. The physical properties of the composites were characterized as a function of filler vol.%, temperature, and frequency. Aqueous organic redox flow batteries (AORFBs) are an emerging technology for fire safe grid energy storage systems with sustainable material feedstocks. Yet, designing organic redox molecules with the desired solubility, viscosity, permeability, formal potential, kinetics, and stability while remaining synthetically scalable is challenging. Herein, the adaptability is demonstrated of a single‐step, high‐yield hydrothermal reaction for nine viologen chloride salts. New empirical insights are gleaned into fundamental structure–property relationships for multiobjective optimization. A new asymmetric Dex‐DiOH‐Vi derivative showcases an enhanced solubility of 2.7 m with minimal tradeoff in membrane permeability. With a record viologen cycling volumetric capacity (67 Ah L−1 anolyte theoretical), Dex‐DiOH‐Vi exhibits 14‐d of stable cycling performance in anolyte‐limiting AORFB with no crossover or chemical degradation. Summary: Meiosis is essential for eukaryotic sexual reproduction and plant fertility, and crossovers (COs) are essential for meiosis and the formation of new allelic combinations in gametes. In this study, we report the isolation of a meiotic gene, OsSHOC1, and the identification of its partner, OsPTD1. Osshoc1 was sterile both in male and female gametophytes, and it showed a striking reduction in the number of meiotic COs, indicating that OsSHOC1 was required for normal CO formation. Further investigations showed that OsSHOC1 physically interacted with OsPTD1 and that the latter was also required for normal CO formation and plant fertility. Additionally, the expression profiles of both genes were consistent with their functions. Our results suggest that OsSHOC1 and OsPTD1 are essential for rice fertility and CO formation, possibly by stabilizing the recombinant intermediates during meiosis.
