Objective: To evaluate the biological characteristics of oral cancer cells co‐cultured with cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs)‐HSVtk and to assess the reliability of the CAFs‐HSVtk suicide system in a co‐culture model. Methods: CAFs were lentivirus‐transfected with PCDH‐HSVtk. Ganciclovir (GCV) was added and the survival rates of the CAFs‐HSVtk were measured. In parallel with the selective elimination of CAFs, comparison was made of the effects of CAF‐HSVtk on tumor cell proliferation/migration in a CAFs‐tumor co‐cultural system. Cell death of co‐cultured oral cancer cells was evaluated by flow cytometry. Results: Q‐PCR analysis showed that the expression of HSVtk in the CAFs‐HSVtk group was significantly higher than in the control group (p < 0.01). The survival rates of CAFs‐HSVtk with GCV were significantly reduced (p < 0.01). Following selective depletion of CAFs‐HSVtk, the growth and migration rates of oral cancer cells co‐cultured with CAFs‐HSVtk were reduced in a mixture ratio of 1:2 (p < 0.01, p < 0.01). Conclusions: Enhanced proliferation and migration rates of oral cancer cells in co‐culture were seriously impaired after deleting CAFs using the HSVtk suicide system, while oral tumor cell death was not affected. Sulfilimines, the aza‐variants of sulfoxides, are key structural motifs in natural products, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals; and sulfilimine synthesis is therefore important in organic chemistry. However, methods for radical sulfilimination remain elusive, and as a result, the structural diversity of currently available sulfilimines is limited. Herein, we report the first protocol for decarboxylative radical sulfilimination reactions between sulfenamides and N‐hydroxyphthalimide esters of primary, secondary, and tertiary alkyl carboxylic acids, which were achieved via a combination of photoredox, copper, and Brønsted base catalysis. This novel protocol provided a wide variety of sulfilimines, in addition to serving as an efficient route for the synthesis of S‐alkyl/S‐aryl homocysteine sulfilimines and S‐(4‐methylphenyl) homocysteine sulfoximine. Moreover, it could be used for late‐stage introduction of a sulfilimine group into structurally complex molecules, thereby avoiding the need to preserve labile organosulfur moieties through multistep synthetic sequences. Transport of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and their oxidation products enhances ozone (O3) levels in the downwind areas. Qinling Mountain, with high altitude, affects the climate and air quality in China, but its impacts on VOCs transport and regional O3 pollution are poorly understood. The present study measured ambient VOCs at a high‐altitude site in Qinling Mountain in China in summer and winter in 2020, and investigated how the mountain influenced the regional transport of VOCs and O3. Transport of VOCs (formaldehyde up to 5 ppbv) across Qinling Mountain was observed, which caused rapid increase of O3 at night (80–152 ppbv) at the mountain top. In August, southeasterly air masses from surrounding areas were the main sources of oxygenated VOCs, while nonmethane hydrocarbons originated mainly from the Guanzhong Basin (GZB) north of the mountain. High loading of tropospheric formaldehyde was distributed on the pathway of the southeasterly air mass, which verified the transport of VOCs across Qinling Mountain. In December, westerly air masses passing through GZB contributed most to the ambient VOCs. Asian monsoon and local valley wind together drove the accumulation of O3 and VOCs on the mountain top, which exacerbated the O3 pollution in the adjacent areas. This study revealed the transport of O3 and VOCs across Qinling Mountain and highlighted the need for regional collaborative control of air quality in Northwest China. This study investigates the effect of corporate environmental information disclosure (EID) on green innovation in China's heavily polluting industries during 2009–2020 and the moderating effect of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) visibility. The results show that: (1) corporate EID increases green innovation, and CEO visibility strengthens the positive impact of corporate EID on green innovation. (2) The green innovation fostered by EID comes from the leverage effect, not from the crowding‐out effect at the expense of other existing innovations; EID stimulates green innovation by alleviating financing constraints and increasing R&D expenditures. (3) Corporate EID has a greater impact on substantive green innovation than on strategic green innovation, and hard EID makes a more significant contribution to green innovation than soft EID does. (4) State‐owned, large, and established enterprises benefit more from the promotion effect of EID on green innovation as well as the positive moderating effect of CEO visibility. Accurate and quantifiable detection of the specific wavelength is vital in different application scenarios. Herein, a novel self‐driven narrowband photodetector (NB‐PD) based on CH(NH2)2PbBr2.5I0.5 crystal film is employed for building a yellow light intensity meter. By taking advantage of the carrier collection narrowing mechanism, a sensitive NB‐PD with peak response at 580 nm and the full‐width at half‐maximum of 23 nm are successfully achieved. The asymmetric contact electrodes of Ag/Pt allow the device to work without bias. The optoelectronic analysis demonstrates that the NB‐PD achieves a maximum responsivity of 59.89 mA W−1, a fast response speed of 202/331 µs, and a high on/off ratio of 636 at zero bias. Then, through introducing the back‐end circuit, a yellow light intensity meter is constructed with the NB‐PD. The absolute error and relative error of the light meter are estimated to be lower than 0.08 mW cm−2 and 4.22%, respectively, indicating the good capability for the yellow light monitoring. Monolithically integrated pixels, with stacked PbS colloidal quantum dot (CQD) photodiodes and organic blocking diodes, are developed as the building block for constructing a short‐wavelength infrared (SWIR) crossbar imaging array. Arising from the back‐to‐back stacked configuration and a favorable energy level alignment, holes are blocked from the photodiode at zero and forward biases, which results in the normally‐OFF behavior of the pixels. Based on such device characteristics, the monolithically integrated pixels can effectively suppress electrical crosstalk under illumination in the crossbar array and consume nearly zero standby power. Furthermore, an 8×8 crossbar imaging array with both high imaging quality and low power consumption is achieved, which features as a high‐performance visible–SWIR imaging sensor. Consolidating and expanding poverty alleviation while simultaneously reducing carbon emissions has become one of the main issues facing China. The Chinese Certified Emission Reduction (CCER) trading programme is an important supplementary mechanism to China's carbon trading market. Based on the data of 1782 counties in China from 2006 to 2017 and a difference‐in‐differences model, this study investigates the rural poverty reduction effect of CCER trading. We find that: (1) during the sample period, CCER trading has increased the per capita net income of rural residents by at least 2.5% or 187.5 RMB (about 27.8 USD or 39.3 AUD) per year. (2) The poverty reduction effect of CCER trading in poor counties is greater than that in nonpoor counties. (3) Some relevant heterogeneous effects are also measured. We find that CCER trading of hydropower projects has played a significant poverty reduction effect; the poverty reduction effect is further enhanced when the county has additional CCER projects; we also identify regional differences with CCER trading having a greater poverty reduction effect in the western and central regions. Adding redox additives to conventional electrolytes is considered to be an effective method to improve electrochemical performance of the supercapacitors, which is ascribed to the additional Farady capacitance derived from the reversible redox reaction. Here, the influence of K3Fe(CN)6 on electrochemical properties for single electrode system and the assembled solid‐state supercapacitor are investigated. The carbon felt (CF) electrode in the mixed solution of K3Fe(CN)6/KCl exhibits remarkable specific capacitance of 2.45 F cm−2 after 5000 cycles, obviously much higher than conventional electrolyte KCl. The capacitance retention and the coulombic efficiency of the solid‐state supercapacitor maintains 86.5% and 97% after 2500 cycles, symmetric supercapacitor shows a high energy density of 58 mWh L−1 at power density of 660 mW L−1. Furthermore, the solid‐state SCs exhibit excellent flexibility and four supercapacitors are capable of lighting up an LED lamp, demonstrating the potential of practical applications of the as‐prepared solid‐state SCs. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are cancer‐initiating cells that are not only a source of tumorigenesis but also the cause of tumour progression, metastasis and therapy resistance. EBV‐associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC) is a distinct subtype of gastric cancer with unique clinicopathological and molecular features. However, whether CSCs exist in EBVaGC, and the tumorigenic mechanism of EBV, remains unclear. Here, NOD/SCID mice were injected subcutaneously with the EBVaGC cell line SNU719 and treated with 5‐fluorouracil weekly. Successive generations of xenografts yielded a highly malignant EBVaGC cell line, SNU‐4th, which displays properties of CSCs and mainly consists of CD44+CD24− cells. In SNU‐4th cells, an EBV‐encoded circRNA, ebv‐circLMP2A, expression increased and plays crucial roles in inducing and maintaining stemness phenotypes through targeting miR‐3908/TRIM59/p53 axis. Additionally, high expression of ebv‐circLMP2A is significantly associated with metastasis and poor prognosis in patients with EBVaGC. These findings not only provide evidence for the existence of CSCs in EBVaGC and elucidate the pathogenic mechanism of ebv‐circLMP2A in EBVaGC, but also provide a promising therapeutic target for EBVaGC. Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires have attracted extensive interests in ultraviolet photodetection fields owing to their outstanding optoelectronic properties. The detectivity of ZnO nanowire photodetectors is often limited by large dark current due to a number of defect‐induced carriers. Herein, a thin layer of poly(2‐vinyl naphthalene) (PVN) is introduced between the ZnO nanowire and gate dielectric to deplete defect‐induced carriers with the help of the electrostatic field generated by trapped electrons in the PVN layer. The dark current is successfully reduced from 2.2 × 10−9 to 1.6 × 10−14 A. Particularly, ZnO nanowire photodetectors with a large Ilight/Idark ratio (>107), high photoresponsivity (>106 A W−1), and ultrahigh detectivity (>1018 Jones) are achieved, which are among the best performance in reported ZnO‐based photodetectors. Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a highly lethal cancer in the world, and the prognosis of OSCC is poor with a 60% 5‐year survival rate in recent decades. Here, we introduced a novel secretory and acid glycoprotein with cysteine rich (secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine, SPARC), which is correlated with the worst pattern of invasion (WPOI) and prognosis of OSCC. SPARC expression levels were measured in OSCC tissues and normal tissues using quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry. The influence of SPARC on cell proliferation was examined by cell counting kit‐8, colony formation, and Edu tests. Then, the effect of SPARC on the metastasis of OSCC cells was detected by wound healing and transwell migration assays. Next, the biologic characteristics of SPARC shared by STRING were analyzed. Furthermore, the underlying mechanisms were confirmed by western blot analysis. SPARC revealed higher expression in OSCC tissues than nontumor tissues. Higher SPARC expression was correlated with poorer tumor differentiation, poorer WPOI pattern, and significantly and shorter overall survival. Knockdown SPARC significantly restrained OSCC cell growth, migration, and invasion. In addition, bioinformatics analysis found SPARC had a coexpression network with the platelet‐derived growth factor‐B (PDGFB) and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways with minimal false discovery rate. Furthermore, SPARC promotes OSCC cells metastasis by regulating the expressions of PDGFB, PDGFRβ, p‐PDGFRβ , and the PI3K/AKT pathway. Higher SPARC expression was positively correlated with poor WPOI and differentiation in OSCC. SPARC activates the PI3K/AKT/PDGFB/PDGFRβ axis to promote proliferation and metastasis by OSCC cell lines. Therefore, SPARC may be a potential therapeutic target for patients with OSCC. Two series of celastrol derivatives were designed and synthesized by modifying carboxylic acid at the 28th position with amino acid, and their intermediates with isobutyrate at the third position. All compounds were evaluated for their antiproliferation activity by four human cancer cell lines (SCG7901, HGC27, HepG2, and Bel7402) and one normal cell LO2. The most promising compound, compound 8, showed superior bioactivity and lower toxicity than others including celastrol. Further underlying tests illustrated that compound 8 induced apoptosis and cell arrest at G2/M and inhibited proliferation and mobility of human hepatoma cells by suppressing the signal transducer and activator of transcription‐3 signaling pathway. Besides these, a highly accurate and reproducible high performance liquid chromatography protocol was established to determine celastrol and compound 8 absorption in zebrafish, and results demonstrated that their concentration increased rapidly within 4 hr in a time‐dependent manner and the concentration of compound 8 was higher than that of celastrol. In addition, without detection at 12 hr, compound 8 was rapidly metabolized in vivo. Background: Monocytes, which subdivided into three functional subsets (classical, intermediate, and nonclassical), play important roles in the progression of cancer. The subset composition is altered in several pathologic conditions including cancers. However, the composition and function of circulating monocyte subsets in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) are still obscure. Methods: The frequencies of monocyte subsets in peripheral blood of patients with OSCC and healthy donors are determined by flow cytometry, and their diagnostic values for OSCC were evaluated. The associations between levels of monocyte subsets and clinicopathological features of patients with OSCC were analyzed using cross‐tabulation with the chi‐square test. Results: We demonstrated that the frequency of CD14++CD16+ intermediate monocytes was remarkably increased (P < 0.0001) in OSCC patients compared with healthy controls (7.33% ± 2.56% of total monocytes, n = 68 versus 4.78% ± 1.50% of total monocytes, n = 57). A trend of decrease in CD14++CD16− classical subset was observed between these two groups (P = 0.0508), whereas no significant difference was detected in CD14+CD16++ nonclassical subset (P > 0.05). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis indicated that the frequency of intermediate monocytes (AUC = 0.810, P < 0.0001) could be a potential diagnostic biomarker to discriminate patients with OSCC from healthy subjects. Moreover, this parameter was significantly correlated to the worst pattern of invasion (WPOI, P < 0.05) of OSCC tissues. Pancreatic cancer (PC) is one of the most lethal malignancies. Recent studies indicate that patients with incidentally diagnosed PC have better prognosis than those with symptoms and that there is a sufficient window for early detection. However, effective early diagnosis remains difficult and depends mainly on imaging modalities and the development of screening methodologies with highly sensitive and specific biomarkers. This review summarizes recent advances in effective screening for early diagnosis of PC using imaging modalities and novel molecular biomarkers discovered from various 'omics' studies including genomics, epigenomics, non-coding RNA, metabonomics, liquid biopsy (CTC, ctDNA and exosomes) and microbiomes, and their use in body fluids (feces, urine and saliva). Although many biomarkers for early detection of PC have been discovered through various methods, larger scale and rigorous validation is required before their application in the clinic. SUMMARY Background: The current prognostic models for mortality and functional outcome after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) are not simple enough. To predict the outcome of ICH, a new simple model, ICH index (ICHI), was established and evaluated in this study. Methods: Medical records of all cases with ICH in our hospital from January 2008 to August 2009 were reviewed. Multiple linear regression analyses were used to assess the contributions of independent variables to hospital mortality after ICH. Results: Age, serum glucose, white blood cell counts (WBC), and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score were found to be greatly associated with mortality. A formula of ICH index [ICHI = age (years)/10 + glucose (mmol/L) + WBC (109/L) - GCS score] was established. Furthermore, the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were performed to estimate the predictive value of the ICHI. The model showed an area under the ROC curve (AURC) of 0.923 (95% CI: 0.883-0.963, P < 0.001). The best cut-off value of ICHI for mortality was 18, which gave sensitivity, specificity, and Youden's index of 0.65, 0.95, and 0.60, respectively. The hospital mortality was extremely increased when 18 < ICHI < 28 (mortality 72.0%) and when ICHI ≥28 (mortality 100%), in contrast with overall mortality (21.6%). Purpose: To investigate the specific antitumor responses against autologous hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells of dendritic cells (DCs) fused with allogeneic HCC cell line, and evaluated the feasibility of BEL7402 as an alternative strategy to deliver shared HCC antigens to DCs. Methods: Previous studies demonstrated fusions of patient-derived DCs and autologous tumor cells could induce T-cell responses against autologous tumors. These fusion cells require patient-derived tumor cells, which are not, however, always available. Here, we report the fusing of autologous DCs with allogeneic HCC cell line to induced cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against autologous HCC cells compare with autologous tumor cells. Results: These DC/ BEL7402 fusion cells co-expressed tumor-associated antigens and DC-derived costimulatory and major histocompatibility complex molecules. Both CD4+ and CD8 T+ cells were activated by the fusion cells as demonstrated by the proliferation of T-cells, the production of cytokines and the simultaneous induction of specific CTL responses. Significantly, CTL induced by dendritic cell/allogeneic BEL7402 fusion cells were able to kill autologous HCC cells by human leukocyte antigen-A2 restricted mechanisms. The results did not show significant difference between DC fusion with autologous hepatocellular carcinoma cells and DC fusion with allogeneic hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. Conclusions: The fusion of allogeneic HCC cell line and autologous DCs may have applications in antitumor immunotherapy through cross-priming against shared tumor antigens and may provide a platform for adoptive immunotherapy. Levels of mRNA and protein were examined through qRT‐PCR, western blot and immunofluorescence.Higher percentage of apoptotic cancer cells in OSCC positively correlated with more Ki67+ cells and predicted poor clinical outcomes. Conditioned medium from CAFs exposed to apoptotic cancer cells significantly facilitated cell proliferation. Co‐culture CAFs with apoptotic cancer cells dampened the phosphorylation of STING/IRF3 signaling, as well as the production of type I interferon, which was required for the inhibition of OSCC cell proliferation.These results demonstrate the interplay between apoptotic cancer cells and CAFs promotes OSCC proliferation via STING signaling, identifying a potential therapy targeted CAFs surrounded with apoptotic cancer cells for OSCC. A hybrid structure strategy, utilizing a perovskite/MoS2 bulk heterojunction (BHJ) as the photosensitizer and a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) layer as the conducting channel, is developed to realize high‐performance photodetectors. All the active layers are prepared by a simple and low‐cost solution process. The perovskite/MoS2 BHJ can significantly suppress the recombination of photogenerated carriers due to the selective electron trapping in the MoS2 nanoflakes, and thus the photoinduced hole transfer from perovskite to rGO is facilitated to largely increase the photocurrent. The hybrid photodetectors show excellent figures of merit, such as high responsivity of 1.08 × 104 A W−1, high detectivity of 4.28 × 1013 Jones, high external quantum efficiency of 2.0 × 106%, and fast photoresponse time less than 45 ms. The demonstration of flexible photodetectors on a flexible substrate finds potential applications in wearable and portable electronics. This work highlights the significance of a hybrid structure, combining an appropriate BHJ film with a graphene channel, as a general and effective way for achieving low‐cost and high‐performance photodetectors.
