Talking about psychology in Nietzsche already generates enough controversy, it is even more so if we conceive that possibility as a prepsychoanalytic psychology. However, the possibility of conceiving psychology itself in the approaches of the German philosopher is not unthinkable, nor strange. Similarly, observing his proposal as a precursor to psychoanalysis is a task that has already been tackled on numerous occasions, both by Freud himself and his disciples, and in recent research. Despite the above, in this article, I distance myself from those readings by Nietzsche as a precursor to psychoanalysis, and I raise the possibility of a differentiated psychology in his work.
