The article reports on the banning of arms by the U.S. to Turkey for using American military weapons on Cyprus. It accounts the conflict of Turkey and Cyprus. According to the U.S. Congress, the use of their weapons clearly violated the laws, prohibiting offensive employment and a specific agreement between Washington and Ankara against shipment of such weapons to Cyprus without Washington's consent. Moreover, a House committee will take the issue of ending the ban on arms to Turkey as Greek lobby for a new assault on Congress.
