- Abstract
This paper will focus on what could be one of the biggest challenges in offshore development, communication. Communication is of such importance, that if it is not taken seriously in the offshore project, all the advantages of offshore development, such as access to talent, greater flexibility in access to resources and cheaper resources will be lost in the informational overhead. The paper will argue that communication channels and infrastructure are often not well established in offshore projects, which in worst cases results in project failures. The paper will focus on factors which have an impact on communication and on how to meet these challenges. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
