The article looks at the problem of British Muslims becoming radicalized and taking part in violence or terrorism, including some travelling to Syria to join the Islamic State (IS) militant Islamist group, and discusses the efforts of the British government to prevent such radicalization. The author suggests the government has been effective in stopping terrorist attacks but not in preventing alienation among some Muslim youth. Comments from British-born IS member Abu Rahin Aziz are presented.
