Coronaviruses (CoVs), the largest positive-sense RNA viruses, have caused infections in both humans and animals. The cross-species transmission of CoVs poses a serious threat to public health. Rodents and bats, the two largest orders of mammals, serve as significant natural reservoirs for CoVs. It is important to monitor the CoVs carried by bats and rodents. In this study, we collected 410 fecal samples from bats and 74 intestinal samples from rats in Yunnan Province, China. Using RT-PCR, we identified one positive sample for alphacoronavirus (TC-14) from Rhinolophus sinicus (Chinese rufous horseshoe bat) and two positive samples for betacoronavirus (GS-53, GS-56) from Apodemus ilex (Rodentia: Muridae). We successfully characterized the complete genomes of TC-14 and GS-56. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that TC-14 clustered with bat CoV HKU2 and SADS-CoV, while GS-56 was closely related to rat CoV HKU24. The identification of positive selection sites and estimation of divergence dates further helped characterize the genetic evolution of TC-14 and GS-56. In summary, this research reveals the genetic evolution characteristics of TC-14 and GS-56, providing valuable references for the study of CoVs carried by bats and rodents in Yunnan Province. (1) Background: Diabetes is a common metabolic disease that seriously endangers human health. In the present study, we investigated the therapeutic effects of the active ingredient Eleutheroside B (EB) from the traditional Chinese medicine Eleutheroside on diabetes mellitus in a zebrafish model. Concomitant hepatic injury was also analysed, along with the study of possible molecular mechanisms using metabolomics technology. This work should provide some theoretical references for future experimental studies. (2) Methods: A zebrafish diabetes model was constructed by soaking in a 1.75% glucose solution and feeding a high-fat diet. The intervention drug groups were metformin (100 μg∙mL−1) and EB (50, 100, and 150 μg∙mL−1) via water-soluble exposure for 30 days. Glucose, TG, TC, LDL-C, and HDL-C were evaluated in different treatment groups. GLUT4 protein expression was also evaluated in each group, and liver injury was observed by HE staining. Metabolomics techniques were used to investigate the mechanism by which EB regulates endogenous markers and metabolic pathways during the development of diabetes. (3) Results: All EB treatment groups in diabetic zebrafish showed significantly reduced body mass index (BMI) and improved blood glucose and lipid profiles. EB was found to upregulate GLUT4 protein expression and ameliorate the liver injury caused by diabetes. Metabolomics studies showed that EB causes changes in the metabolic profile of diabetic zebrafish. These were related to the regulation of purine metabolism, cytochrome P450, caffeine metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, the mTOR signalling pathway, insulin resistance, and glycerophospholipid metabolism. (4) Conclusions: EB has a hypoglycaemic effect in diabetic zebrafish as well as significantly improving disorders of glycolipid metabolism. Atherosclerosis (AS) is a serious threat to human health and the main pathological basis of cardiovascular disease. Hyperoside (Hyp), a flavonoid found mainly in traditional Chinese herbs, can exert antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cardiovascular-protective effects. Herein, we prepared hybrid nanomicelles (HFT) comprising Hyp loaded into pluronic F-127 and polyethylene glycol 1000 vitamin E succinate and assessed their effects on AS. To establish an AS model, apolipoprotein-E-deficient (ApoE−/−) mice were fed a high-fat diet. We then analyzed the effects of HFT on AS-induced changes in aortic tissues and metabolic markers, simultaneously assessing changes in gut flora community structure. In mice with AS, HFT significantly reduced the aortic plaque area; decreased levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, inflammatory factors, and inducible nitric oxide synthase (NOS); increased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, endothelial NOS, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione levels; and promoted the proliferation of beneficial gut bacteria. HFT could regulate intestinal flora structure and lipid metabolism and inhibit inflammatory responses. These beneficial effects may be mediated by inhibiting nuclear factor kappa B signal activation, reducing inflammatory factor expression and improving gut microflora structure and dyslipidemia. Fatty liver disease (FLD) is a clinical and pathological syndrome characterized by excessive fat deposition and even steatosis in hepatocytes. It has been proven that liver inflammation induced by fat and its derivatives are involved in the pathogenesis of FLD, while the precise mechanism still remains poorly understood. Pyroptosis is programmed inflammatory cell death driving cell swelling and membrane rupture. Pyroptosis is initiated by the activation of inflammasomes and caspases, which further cleaves and activates various gasdermins, leading to pores forming on the cell membrane and the release of pro-inflammatory factors such as interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. Recent studies demonstrate that pyroptosis occurs in hepatocytes, and inhibiting pyroptosis could effectively reduce fat deposition in the liver and could ameliorate inflammation from FLD, attracting our prime focus on the role of pyroptosis in FLD. In this manuscript, we reviewed the current understanding of pyroptosis in FLD development, aiming to provide new insights and potential research targets for the clinical diagnosis and intervention of FLD. This study investigated the effect of edible coating (EC), modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), and edible coating + modified atmosphere packaging (EC + MAP) treatments on the quality of fresh-cut pineapples during storage at 4 °C. The quality differences were analyzed by measuring the quality, physiological indicators, and total microbial counts. After 8 d of storage, the brightness (L*) values of the EC + MAP and control samples were 72.76 and 60.83, respectively. The water loss and respiratory rate of the EC + MAP were significantly inhibited from 0% and 29.33 mg CO2 kg−1 h−1 to 4.13% and 43.84 mg CO2 kg−1 h−1, respectively. Furthermore, the fresh-cut pineapples treated with EC + MAP presented a good appearance, with lower total soluble solids (TSS) and relative conductivity and higher titratable acid (TA), ascorbic acid (AA), total phenol content, and firmness compared to the other treatment groups. At the end of storage, the EC + MAP samples exhibited the lowest polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity, peroxidase (POD) activity, and malondialdehyde (MDA) content at 28.53 U, 60.37 U, and 1.47 nmol·g−1, respectively. Furthermore, the efficiency of EC + MAP treatment exceeded that of EC or MAP alone, preventing key problems involving the surface browning and microbiological safety of the fresh-cut pineapples. Phospholipids are pivotal polar lipids in human milk and essential for infants' growth and development, especially in the brain and cognitive development. Its content and composition are affected by multiple factors and there exist discrepancies in different studies. In this study, we determined five major phospholipids classes (phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine, and sphingomyelin) in 2270 human milk samples collected from 0 to 400 days postpartum in six regions of China. The high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with an evaporative light scattering detector (HPLC-ELSD) was performed to quantify the phospholipids. Total phospholipid median (IQR) content was in a range between 170.38 ± 96.52 mg/L to 195.69 ± 81.80 mg/L during lactation and was higher concentrated in colostrum milk and later stage of lactation (after 200 days postpartum) compared with that in the samples collected between 10 to 45 days postpartum. Variations in five major sub-class phospholipids content were also observed across lactation stages (phosphatidylethanolamine: 52.61 ± 29.05 to 59.95 ± 41.74 mg/L; phosphatidylinositol: 17.65 ± 10.68 to 20.38 ± 8.55 mg/L; phosphatidylserine: 15.98 ± 9.02 to 22.77 ± 11.17 mg/L; phosphatidylcholine: 34.13 ± 25.33 to 48.64 ± 19.73 mg/L; sphingomyelin: 41.35 ± 20.31 to 54.79 ± 35.26 mg/L). Phosphatidylethanolamine (29.18–32.52%), phosphatidylcholine (19.90–25.04%) and sphingomyelin (22.39–29.17%) were the dominant sub-class phospholipids in Chinese breast milk during the whole lactation period. These results updated phospholipids data in Chinese human milk and could provide evidence for better development of secure and effective human milk surrogates for infants without access to breast milk. Since the implementation of the sulfur cap legislation in 2020, marine very-low-sulfur fuel oil, often known as VLSFO, has become a crucial source of fuel for the contemporary shipping industry. However, both the production and utilization processes of VLSFO are plagued by the poor miscibility of the cutter fraction and the residual fraction, which can result in the precipitation of asphaltene. In this study, biodiesel was chosen as a cutter fraction to improve the stability and compatibility of asphaltene in VLSFO because of its environmental benefit and strong solubility. The average chemical structure of asphaltene derived from the marine low-sulfur fuel oil sample was analyzed using element analysis, FTIR, 1HNMR, and time-flight spectroscopy. The composition of biodiesel was analyzed using GC-MS. It was found that the asphaltene had a feature of a short side chain, low H/C ratio, high aromaticity, and a high proportion of heteroatoms. Both laboratory experiments and molecular dynamic simulations were applied to investigate the dispersion effect and mechanism compared with other dispersants. The dispersion effect of biodiesel was studied using measurements of the initial precipitation point (IPP), dispersion improvement rate, and morphology of asphaltene in the model oil. Experimental results revealed that biodiesel was fully compatible with heavy fuel oil and that it can postpone the IPP from 46% to 54% and increase the dispersion improvement rate to 35%. Molecular dynamics (MDs) simulation results show that biodiesel can form strong interactions with the fused aromatics structures and heteroatoms in the asphaltene; such interactions can increase the solubility of asphaltene and acts as a "connection bridge" to promote the dispersion effect of asphaltene molecules. In this study, the effect of mixing a small amount of ammonia on the ignition delay time of methyl decanoate under different conditions was studied from the perspective of the combustion mechanism. The effect of adding ammonia on the ignition delay time of methyl decanoate at different pressures and temperatures was studied by means of simulation calculations and numerical comparison. Integrating the detailed mechanism and reaction path of methyl decanoate, the sensitivity of the ignition delay time was investigated. Analyses of the ignition delay time and rate of production were conducted to explore the transformation and influence of ammonia on the oxidation/decomposition process of the main elementary reaction during the ignition of methyl decanoate. The research illustrated that the ignition delay time of methyl decanoate increased with the number of moles of mixed ammonia at a certain temperature range, and in the negative temperature coefficient region, the effect of ammonia on the ignition delay time was the greatest. In addition, the susceptibility and yield analysis of methyl decanoate showed that the addition of ammonia had a weakening effect on the elementary reactions that originally promoted and inhibited methyl decanoate, and its consumption and production rates were reduced. This paper uses the three-stage DEA method to measure the input–output efficiency of China's 23 listed power generation companies (mainly thermal power generation) in 2019, and uses the SFA regression model to eliminate environmental elements and random disturbances. The results show that in a non-homogeneous environment, the scale efficiencies of most power generation companies are greater than or equal to their pure technical efficiencies. These companies should first improve management and technical levels, and then optimize the scale of investment. Furthermore, after removing environmental variables, half of the companies should turn to increasing economies of scale instead of diminishing economies of scale. It can be seen that environmental factors, such as the degree of regional development and IPO time, have reduced the economies of scale of enterprises, so they should strengthen the communication between different regions, and the government should provide assistance to companies that are listed late. (1) Background: To explore the effect of exercise on the formation and recovery of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and whether the IL-6–p47phox oxidative–stress axis is involved in that process. (2) Methods: Firstly, 23 six-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into the Con group, ALD group, ALD + NOXI group, ALD + Ex group, and ALD + Ex + NOXI group. The Liber–DeCarli alcoholic liquid diet was used for 6 weeks to establish the ALD mice model, and the Con group was given the TP4030C control diet. The remaining groups were fed with the TP4030B alcoholic diet, and exercise intervention was started after the ALD model establishment and lasted for another 6 weeks, with or without administration of the NOX inhibitor apocynin by intraperitoneal injection on every exercise training day. Secondly, 28 mice were randomly divided into the Sed group, Eth group, Eth + Ex group and Eth + Ex + NOXI group. The Sed group was given the TP4030C control diet. The remaining groups were fed with the TP4030B alcoholic diet and exercise intervention was started synchronously combined with or without administration of intraperitoneal apocynin injections on every exercise training day for 5 weeks. After each individual experiment was accomplished, physiological assessment and biochemical analysis of blood and tissue samples were examined. (3) Results: The levels of TG in serum and IL-6 protein content in liver tissue in the ALD group were significantly increased compared to the Con group (p < 0.05); compared with ALD, p47phox expression in muscle was increased significantly in the ALD + NOXI group (p < 0.05), and TG in serum decreased in the ALD + Ex group (p < 0.05). TG in serum, AST/ALT ratio, and IL-6 content in both liver and muscle decreased (p < 0.05) in the ALD + Ex + NOXI group with MDA in muscle significantly increased (p < 0.01). The AST/ALT ratio, TG in serum, SOD in liver, and p47phox in both liver and muscle in the ALD + Ex + NOXI group were significantly decreased compared with the ALD + NOXI group (p < 0.01). Compared with the ALD + Ex group, the liver index and HDL-C levels in serum were decreased (p < 0.05) in the ALD + Ex + NOXI group. The degree of hepatocyte steatosis and inflammatory infiltration were ameliorated after exercise intervention. In the Eth group, the relative epididymal fat content, HDL-C level, and AST/ALT ratio were significantly decreased, and TG and gp91phox in liver were significantly higher than in the Sed group (p < 0.05, p < 0.01). Compared with the Eth group, the AST/ALT ratio, MDA in the liver, and NOX4 and p47phox protein expression in the liver were significantly increased, and body weight decreased significantly in the Eth + Ex group (p < 0.05, p < 0.01), as did TG in the liver and MDA in muscle. In the th + Ex + NOXI group, gp91phox expression in the liver and body weight were significantly decreased (p < 0.05, p < 0.01). In the Eth + Ex + NOXI group, the ratio of AST/ALT and MDA in muscle were increased when compared with the Eth + Ex group, and the protein expression of gp91phox and p47phox were much lower (p < 0.01). (4) Conclusions: 6 weeks of exercise intervention during the recovery phase of ALD ameliorates hepatocyte damage and dyslipidemia through the IL-6–p47phox oxidative–stress axis, and applying a NOX inhibitor in combination could optimize this. High-permeability distributed wind power and photovoltaic systems are connected to the distribution network, which exacerbates the volatility and uncertainty of the distribution network. Furthermore, with the increasing demand of heating in winter and environmental protection, the wide use of electric thermal storage heating equipment (ETSHE) can promote distributed renewable energy utilization. However, an unplanned ETSHE connection to the distribution network may cause serious power quality problems. A new method of equipment location and capacity is proposed, which considered the improvement of power quality and load demand characteristics of the distribution network. First, based on heat load portrait technology, the node's thermal load classification prediction was carried out to provide the data basis for the model solution. Second, the multi-objective optimal location and capacity programming model including harmonic distortion rate, voltage deviation, voltage fluctuation, and ETSHE cost was established. Then, the system nodes were preprocessed based on the sensitivity analysis method to reduce the number of installation nodes to be selected, and a feasible alternative set of installation nodes for the optimal configuration model of ETSHE could be obtained. Finally, the improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to solve the model, and the data envelope analysis method was used to evaluate the power quality of each access scheme. The analysis of the numerical example shows that it can not only satisfy the user′s heat demand, but also effectively improve the power quality by rationally planning the location and capacity of ETSHE, which achieves the safe and efficient utilization of energy. With the continuous development of the active distribution network (ADN), the problem of security and stability has become increasingly prominent. From the perspective of improving the defense capability of ADN, a new a multi-angle dynamic risk assessment index system based on the comprehensive vulnerability rate model is proposed in this paper. Risk threshold is used to monitor the status of the distribution network, which determine whether ADN needs to enter the active defense period. The minimum amount of load shedding outside the fault isolation region is regarded as the objective function, considering other constraints such as limited resources, the coordinated active defense strategy (CADS) is formed in this paper. Finally, the accuracy of the comprehensive vulnerability rate and the risk assessment value are verified by example analysis, and the superiority of the CADS is verified by comparing different defense strategies. In order to cope with the energy crisis, the concept of an energy internet (EI) has been proposed as a novel energy structure with high efficiency which allows full play to the advantages of multi-energy coupling. In order to adapt to the multi-energy coupled energy structure and achieve flexible conversion and interaction of multi-energy, the concept of energy routing centers (ERCs) is proposed. A two-layered structure of an ERC is established. Multi-energy conversion devices and connection ports with monitoring functions are integrated in the physical layer which allows multi-energy flow with high flexibility. As for the EI with several ERCs connected to each other, energy flows among them are managed by an energy routing controller located in the information layer. In order to improve the efficiency and reduce the operating cost and environmental cost of the proposed EI, an optimal multi-energy management-based energy routing design problem is researched. Specifically, the voltages of the ERC ports are managed to regulate the power flow on the connection lines and are restricted on account of security operations. An artificial neural network (ANN)-based reinforcement learning algorithm was proposed to manage the optimal energy routing path. Dietary intake of vitamin A (VA) and carotenes has shown beneficial effects for decreasing the risk of some types of cancer, but findings on the risk of primary liver cancer (PLC) are inconsistent. This case--control study explored the associations between the dietary intake of VA and carotenes and the risk of PLC. We recruited 644 incident PLC patients (diagnosed within one month of each other) and 644 age- and gender-matched controls in Guangzhou, China. A food frequency questionnaire was used to assess habitual dietary intake. Logistic regression analyses found that higher intakes of VA and carotenes were independently associated with decreased PLC risk (all P-trend < 0.001). The multivariable-adjusted ORs (95% CI) of PLC for the highest (vs. lowest) quartile were 0.34 (0.24-0.48) for vitamin A and 0.35 (0.25-0.49) for carotenes. The associations were not significantly modified by smoking, alcohol, or tea drinking (P-interactions: 0.062-0.912). Dose--response analysis showed a U-shaped VA--PLC relationship, with sharply decreased risks at the intakes of about 1000 µg retinol equivalent (RE)/day, and then slowly went down toward the flat-bottomed risks with the lowest risk at 2300 µg RE/day. Our findings suggest that greater intake of retinol, carotenes, and total VA may decrease PLC risk among the Chinese population at an intake of 1000 µg RE/day or greater from food sources. This paper proposes a new method for assessing the vulnerability of power systems based on the controllability theories of complex networks. A novel controllability index is established, taking into consideration the full controllability of the power systems, for identifying critical nodes. The network controllability model is used to calculate the minimum number of driver nodes (ND), which can solve the computable problems of the controllability of power systems. The proposed approach firstly applies the network controllability theories to research the power systems' vulnerability, which can not only effectively reveal the important nodes but also maintain full control of the power systems. Meanwhile, the method can also overcome the limitation of the hypothesis that the weight of each link or transmission line must be known compared with the existing literature. In addition, the power system is considered as a directed network and the power system model is also redefined. The proposed methodology is then used to identify critical nodes of the IEEE 118 and 300 bus system. Since the 1990s, a number of terminal alkynyl residue-containing cyclic/acyclic peptides have been identified from marine organisms, especially cyanobacteria and marine mollusks. This review has presented 66 peptides, which covers over 90% marine peptides with terminal alkynyl fatty acyl units. In fact, more than 90% of these peptides described in the literature are of cyanobacterial origin. Interestingly, all the linear peptides featured with terminal alkyne were solely discovered from marine cyanobacteria. The objective of this article is to provide an overview on the types, structural characterization of these unusual terminal alkynyl fatty acyl units, as well as the sources and biological functions of their composed peptides. Many of these peptides have a variety of biological activities, including antitumor, antibacterial, antimalarial, etc. Further, we have also discussed the evident biosynthetic origin responsible for formation of terminal alkynes of natural PKS (polyketide synthase)/NRPS (nonribosome peptide synthetase) hybrids. Adult cardiomyocytes (CMs) have very limited capacity to regenerate. Therefore, there is a great interest in developing strategies to treat infarcted CMs that are able to regenerate cardiac tissue and promote revascularization of infarcted zones in the heart. Recently, stem cell transplantation has been proposed to replace infarcted CMs and to restore the function of the affected tissue. This area of research has become very active in recent years due to the huge clinical need to improve the efficacy of currently available therapies. Slingshot (SSH) is a family of protein phosphatases, which can specifically dephosphorylate and reactivate cofilin and inhibit the polymerization of actin filaments and actively involved in cytoskeleton rearrangement. In this study, we found that SSH1L promoted morphology changes of microfilaments during differentiation but was inhibited by the inhibitors of actin polymerization such as cytochalasin D. Overexpression of SSH1L could promote cardiac-specific protein and genes expression. 5-Aza can induce the differentiation of hMSCs into cardiomyocyte-like cells in vitro. We also observed that SSH1L efficiently promotes hMSCs differentiation into cardiomyocyte-like cells through regulation and rearrangement of cytoskeleton. The electricity-heat integrated system can realize the cascade utilization of energy and the coordination and complementarity between multiple energy sources. In this paper, considering the thermal comfort of users, taking into account the difference in dynamic characteristics of electric and heating networks and the response of users' demands, a dispatch model is constructed. In this model, taking into account the difference in the time scale of electric and thermal dispatching, optimization of the system can be improved by properly extending the thermal balance cycle of the combined heat and power (CHP) unit. Based on the time-of-use electricity prices and heat prices to obtain the optimal energy purchase cost, a user demand response strategy is adopted. Therefore, a minimum economic cost on the energy supply side and a minimum energy purchase cost on the demand side are considered as a bilevel optimization strategy for the operation of the system. Finally, using an IEEE 30 nodes power network and a 31 nodes heating network to form an electricity-heat integrated system, the simulation results show that the optimal thermal balance cycle can maximize the economic benefits on the premise of meeting the users' thermal comfort and the demand response can effectively realize the wind curtailment and improve the system economy. Multiple types of sleep arousal account for a large proportion of the causes of sleep disorders. The detection of sleep arousals is very important for diagnosing sleep disorders and reducing the risk of further complications including heart disease and cognitive impairment. Sleep arousal scoring is manually completed by sleep experts by checking the recordings of several periods of sleep polysomnography (PSG), which is a time-consuming and tedious work. Therefore, the development of efficient, fast, and reliable automatic sleep arousal detection system from PSG may provide powerful help for clinicians. This paper reviews the automatic arousal detection methods in recent years, which are based on statistical rules and deep learning methods. For statistical detection methods, three important processes are typically involved, including preprocessing, feature extraction and classifier selection. For deep learning methods, different models are discussed by now, including convolution neural network (CNN), recurrent neural network (RNN), long-term and short-term memory neural network (LSTM), residual neural network (ResNet), and the combinations of these neural networks. The prediction results of these neural network models are close to the judgments of human experts, and these methods have shown robust generalization capabilities on different data sets. Alongside the proceeding of rural land system reform in China, it becomes more and more critical to conduct policy performance evaluations on collective-owned construction land for profitable use to reflect the achievements and deficiencies of the reform. Traditionally, land policy performance evaluation is based on the theory of "policy-performance", which fails to explain the mechanism of transaction costs. From the perspective of spatial planning, land use and the spatial form shaped by land development management and control are a representation of land property rights, as well as an expression of land policy performance. Thus, a correct understanding of the role of spatial form in the relationship between land policy and land performance is of great significance in accurately evaluating land policy performance and further improving land policies. Focusing on the interrelation among the three factors, this article highlights and elaborates on the intermediary role of spatial form between land property rights and land policy performance and puts forward the analytical framework of "land property right–spatial form–land policy performance". It then takes the case of Wujiang District of Suzhou in southern Jiangsu Province to prove the effectiveness of this analytical framework. The outcome of this study can serve as a supplement to "policy-performance" theory, which refines and deepens the analysis of transaction costs from the perspective of spatial planning. It may also help deepen the recognition of land policy performance through visualized presentations, providing a new perspective for performance evaluation in quantitative and qualitative ways. As a global pandemic, COVID-19 shows no sign of letting up. With the control of the epidemic in China, the proportion of patients with severe and critical diseases being cured and discharged from hospital has increased, and the recovery of COVID-19 patients has become an important issue that urgently needs attention and solutions. By summarizing the exercise rehabilitation strategies and progress of SARS in 2003, this paper analyzed the differences in clinical indicators and recovery characteristics of severe pneumonia caused by the two viruses, and provided comprehensive exercise guidance and intervention strategies for COVID-19 patients for rehabilitation and nursing by referring to the problems and treatment strategies in the rehabilitation and nursing work of SARS. In the post-epidemic period, China will build a multi-dimensional epidemic prevention system by improving the effectiveness of mass training and strengthening local risk prevention and control. For the purpose of extracting the frictional vibration characteristics of the friction pair during friction and wear in different friction states, the friction and wear tests of friction pair in different friction states were conducted on a testing machine. Higher-dimensional fractal and multifractal characteristics hidden in time series can be examined by multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MFDFA) method. The frictional vibration time-domain signals, the friction coefficient signals and the frictional vibration frequency-domain signals were analyzed and multifractal spectra were acquired by using the MFDFA algorithm. According to the spectra, the multifractal spectrum parameters of these signals were calculated to realize the quantitative characterization of frictional vibration characteristics in different friction states. The analysis shows that it is symmetric in the variation trends of the multifractal spectrum parameters of the frictional vibration signals and the friction coefficient data. Based on the multifractal spectrum parameters of frictional vibration, the principal component analysis (PCA) algorithm was applied to establish the friction state recognition method. The results show that the multifractal spectra and their parameters can characterize the frictional vibrations, and the friction state recognition can be realized based on the multifractal spectrum parameters of frictional vibrations. Adherence to healthy dietary guidelines has been related to a lower risk of several cancers, but its role in primary liver cancer (PLC) has not been fully investigated, especially among Eastern populations. This study enrolled 720 PLC patients and 720 healthy controls who were frequency-matched by age and sex between September 2013 and October 2017 in South China. Dietary quality was assessed by the Chinese Healthy Eating Index (CHEI) and the Healthy Eating Index 2015 (HEI-2015), which manifests as scores of adhering to the 2016 Dietary Guidelines for Chinese and adhering to the 2015–2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, respectively. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated using unconditional logistic regression models, adjusting for potential confounders. Higher scores in both the CHEI and HEI-2015 were associated with a lower risk of PLC (per 5-points increment of the total scores: OR: 0.43, 95% CI: 0.38–0.50 for CHEI; OR: 0.47, 95% CI: 0.40–0.55 for HEI-2015). The protective associations persisted significantly in the stratified analyses by sex, smoker status, alcohol consumption, HBV infection, and histological types of PLC, without statistical evidence for heterogeneity (p-interaction > 0.05). Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3, BFO) submicron cubes and 3D BFO/graphene composite materials were synthesized by a simple hydrothermal process. The crystallization processes of the 3D BFO/graphene composites with different graphene oxide (GO) concentrations were studied for their visible light photocatalytic properties. Compared to the single BFO submicron cubes, 3D BFO/graphene composites have greatly improved photocatalytic activity. A high photocatalytic performance is obtained at a GO concentration of 3 mg/mL, with the degradation rate of methylene blue (MB) dye reaching up to 92% in 140 min. The enhancement of photocatalytic activity can be attributed to the large specific surface area and 3D architecture of 3D composites, which provide more transport paths to effectively improve the separation rate of photo-generated electrons and holes. Buddhism has been a significant part of Hangzhou's rich history. Throughout the twentieth century, Hangzhou's Buddhist culture continued to inspire many Chinese writers, one of the most prominent being Yu Dafu. The writer stayed in Hangzhou several times during the 1920s and 1930s and wrote numerous travel notes, including many describing his and his friends' visits to temples in and around Hangzhou. These short travel notes, written in modern Chinese with the characteristics of modern prose, opened a relationship between Buddhism and Chinese literature, effectively inaugurating a fresh genre of Chinese Buddhist literature. This paper focuses on Yu Dafu's travel notes, considers extensive historical sources, and explores how they recorded and represented Chinese Buddhist culture in Hangzhou and more broadly. Studying the variation and correlation of traits among provenances is of great significance for the selection of excellent provenances and the interpretation of the acclimation mechanisms of different provenances in the context of climate change. The photosynthetic characteristic parameters and leaf functional traits of 18 Cunninghamia lanceolata provenances in a common garden were measured. Redundancy analysis combined with Pearson analysis was used to analyze the relationship among leaf photosynthetic characteristics, functional traits, and geo-climatic conditions. The results showed the following: (1) Significant differences in functional traits and photosynthetic parameters among provenances were observed, and the gsw and LDMC have the greatest variation as photosynthetic indicators and functional traits, respectively, because of the acclimation ability. (2) Leaf functional traits can better reflect the variation of photosynthetic characteristic parameters. The correlation between most photosynthetic characteristic parameters and functional traits reached a significant level (p < 0.05), and the leaf dry weight (LDW) and specific leaf area (SLA) are key trait factors that determine photosynthetic characteristic parameters. (3) Precipitation appeared to be a key factor that influences intraspecific leaf traits' variability compared to temperature. This study can explain how provenances acclimate to the environment and which provenances are more suitable for planting in the study area under the context of climate change from a mechanistic perspective. Low vitamin D (VitD) level is a risk factor for preterm birth (PTB), but the results of previous studies remained inconsistent, which may be influenced by the confounding factors and different types of PTB. We performed Mendelian randomization (MR) to uncover the association of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) with PTB, premature rupture of membranes (PROM), and preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM). This study was conducted in Zhoushan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Zhejiang, from August 2011 to March 2022. Plasma 25(OH)D levels in three trimesters of pregnancy were measured. We conducted an MR analysis utilizing a genetic risk score (GRS) approach, which was based on VitD-associated single-nucleotide polymorphisms. The prospective cohort study included 3923 pregnant women. The prevalence of PTB, PROM, and PPROM were 6.09%, 13.18%, and 1.33%, respectively. Compared to those without vitamin D deficiency (VDD), only vaginally delivering pregnant women with VDD had a 2.69 (1.08–6.68) times risk of PTB. However, MR analysis did not support the association. One-unit higher GRS was not associated with an increased risk of PTB, regardless of the trimesters (OR [95% CI]: 1.01 [0.93–1.10], 1.06 [0.96–1.18], and 0.95 [0.82–1.10], respectively). When further taking PROM and PPROM as the outcomes, the MR analysis also showed no consistent evidence of a causal effect of VitD levels on the risk of them. The increasing concentration of anthropogenic CO2 in the air is one of the main causes of global warming. The Paris Agreement at COP 21 aims to reach the global peak of greenhouse gas emissions in the second half of this century, with CO2 conversion towards valuable added compounds being one of the main strategies, especially in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. In the current search for new catalysts, the deposition of metallic nanoparticles (NPs) supported on metal oxides and metal carbide surfaces paves the way to new catalytic solutions. This review provides a comprehensive description and analysis of the relevant literature on the utilization of metal-supported NPs as catalysts for CO2 conversion to useful chemicals and propose that the next catalysts generation can be led by single-metal-atom deposition, since in general, small metal particles enhance the catalytic activity. Among the range of potential indicators of catalytic activity and selectivity, the relevance of NPs' size, the strong metal–support interactions, and the formation of vacancies on the support are exhaustively discussed from experimental and computational perspective. Carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma (Ca ex PA) is a rare malignant tumor that arises from a primary or recurrent benign pleomorphic adenoma (PA). Ca ex PA has an aggressive behavior and poor prognosis. To date, there are no standardized therapeutic methods. Herein, we reported a case of a 57-year-old Chinese female with Ca ex PA of the submandibular gland. After surgery, cervical lymph nodes recurred, and multiple distant metastases were detected. During the treatment, she received multiple chemotherapies and radiotherapy but suffered from multidrug resistance and repeated disease progression. Hence, PD-1 inhibitor (sintilimab), in combination with anlotinib, was administered, which resulted in better control of pulmonary metastases compared to the other treatment regimens. This provided an alternative treatment option for Ca ex PA of the submandibular gland patients with failed multiple therapies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A miniature methane sensor composed of a long ultra-low loss waveguide and a micro-ring resonator filter is proposed with high sensitivity and good selectivity. This sensor takes advantage of the evanescent field to implement methane concentration detection at a near infrared band (1650 nm). In the sensor, two waveguides, a strip waveguide and a slot waveguide, are specially designed and discussed based on three common semiconductor materials, including silica, silicon nitride, and silicon. Through simulations and numerical calculations, we determine that for the strip waveguide, the optimal evanescent field ratio (EFR) is approximately 39.8%, while the resolution is 32.1 ppb using a 15-cm waveguide length. For the slot waveguide, the optimal EFR is approximately 61.6%, and the resolution is 20.8 ppb with a 15-cm waveguide length. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Distributed thermal energy storage (DTES) provides specific opportunities to realize the sustainable and economic operation of urban electric heat integrated energy systems (UEHIES). However, the construction of the theory of the model and the configuration method of thermal storage for distributed application are still challenging. This paper analyzes the heat absorption and release process between the DTES internal heat storage medium and the heat network transfer medium, refines the relationship between heat transfer power and temperature characteristics, and establishes a water thermal energy storage and electric heater phase change thermal energy storage model, considering medium temperature characteristics. Combined with the temperature transmission delay characteristics of a heat network, a two-stage optimal configuration model of DTES for UEHIES is proposed. The results show that considering the temperature characteristics in the configuration method can accurately reflect the performance of DTES, enhance wind power utilization, improve the operation efficiency of energy equipment, and reduce the cost of the system. In view of the poor water solubility and low oral bioavailability of mangiferin (MG), in this study, the supercritical antisolvent (SAS) technology was used to prepare mangiferin microparticles (MG MPs) with N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent and carbon dioxide as antisolvent, so as to improve its water solubility, antioxidant capacity and oral bioavailability. Four factors affecting the solubility of the MG MPs were investigated by orthogonal design (OAD), including precipitation pressure, precipitation temperature, MG concentration and feeding speed, and the optimal preparation conditions were determined by range and variance analysis (ANOVA). Under the optimal conditions, the spherical MG MPs with an average diameter of 532.8 nm was obtained, and the yield of the powder was about 95.3%. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermal gravimetric (TG) were used to analyze the characteristics of the MG MPs. The results obtained showed that the chemical structure of the MG did not change before and after supercritical crystallization, but its particle size and crystallinity decreased significantly. The MG MPs had a higher solubility, and was about 4.26, 2.1 and 2.5 times than that of free MG in water, artificial gastric juice (AGJ) and artificial intestinal juice (AIJ), respectively. The dissolution rate of the MG MPs were also obviously higher than that of free MG. Furthermore, the bioavailability of the MG MPs in vivo was about 2.07 times higher than that of the free MG, and its antioxidant capacity was also much higher than that of free MG, which was close to vitamin C. In this paper, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) were used to comprehensively analyze the microstructure and brazing performance of a CuAgTi filler metal with braze tungsten heavy alloys. The association of microstructure, wettability and shear strength of brazing joints was also investigated. With the addition of Ti, the Ti3Cu4 phase appeared in the microstructure of filler metal. Ti is active element that promotes the reaction of filler with tungsten. Therefore, the Ti element is enriched around tungsten and forms a Ti2Cu layer at the interface, leaving a Cu-rich/Ti-poor area on the side. Remaining Ti and Cu elements form the acicular Ti3Cu4 structure at the center of the brazing zone. The wettability of filler metal is improved, and the spreading area is increased from 120.3 mm2 to 320.9 mm2 with the addition of 10 wt.% Ti. The shear strength of joint reaches the highest level at a Ti content of 2.5 wt.%, the highest shear strength is 245.6 MPa at room temperature and 142.2 MPa at 400 °C. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
