The Paleocene ore deposits related to the India–Asia continental collision are widely distributed in the Gangdese metallogenic belt. Among these, Sinongduo is the first discovered epithermal Ag-Pb-Zn deposit in the Lhasa terrane. However, there is still controversy over the ore-forming magma in this deposit. This study mainly reports new zircon U-Pb isotopic ages, whole-rock geochemistry, and Sr-Nd isotopic data for the granite porphyry from the Sinongduo deposit, aiming to discuss the petrogenesis and tectonic setting of the granite porphyry and its genetic link between the Ag-Pb-Zn mineralization. The results show that zircon U-Pb analyses yield ages of 62.9 ± 0.5 Ma and 59.0 ± 0.7 Ma for the granite porphyry, indicating that it formed during the Paleocene period. The timing of the granite porphyry intrusion is contemporaneous with the mineralization, suggesting that it is most likely the ore-forming magma in the Sinongduo deposit. The granite porphyry has high SiO2 and K2O, moderate Al2O3, and low Na2O, CaO, and FeOT contents, and it displays significant enrichments in LREEs and LILEs and depletions in HREEs and HFSEs, with negative Eu anomaly. The granite porphyry is a peraluminous series and can be classified as S-type granite. Moreover, the granite porphyry shows relatively high ratios of (87Sr/86Sr)i and low values of εNd(t). The geochemical and isotopic compositions of the granite porphyry from the Sinongduo area are similar to those of the upper continental crust, which suggests that the granite porphyry was most likely derived from the melting of the upper continental crust in the Lhasa terrane during the India–Asia collisional tectonic setting. Integrated geochemical, U-Pb zircon, and Pb isotopic data from granitoids of the Wulandele porphyry molybdenum deposit, northeastern Inner Mongolia, are reported to disclose the possible magmatic process and Mo ore-forming process. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating constrains the timing of the quartz diorite and monzonitic granite to 282 ± 2.4 Ma and 135.4 ± 2.1 Ma, respectively. The ages are accordant with geological facts which state that the shallow Permian granitoids are only the ore-hosting rock while the concealed Cretaceous fine-grained granite is the causative intrusion. Whole-rock geochemical data show that the granitoids belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series, and are enriched in LILEs, but depleted in HSFEs. Permian granitoids exhibit I-type characteristics, while Cretaceous granite is akin to A-type granite. Pb isotopic ratios are consistent between Permian granitoids and Cretaceous granite with ratios of 206Pb/204Pb = 18.048–18.892, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.488–15.571, and 208Pb/204Pb = 37.066–38.441. Considering geological and geochemical features together, Permian granitoids are interpreted as subduction-related continental margin high-K calc-alkaline rocks, while Cretaceous granite may be the result of the remelting of the relic Permian arc in an extensional environment induced by the rollback of the Paleo-Pacific plate. Different from classical porphyry-type deposits, the Wulandele Mo deposit, which formed in an intraplate tectonic setting, indicates that the intraplate porphyry Mo deposit should be one of the important exploration targets in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt, especially its eastern segment. This article will investigate a certain similarity between Origen's response to Celsus' True Logos and the criticisms against Longinus' interpretation of the early pages of Plato's Timaeus made in Proclus' Commentary by a certain Origenes, usually held to be a pagan though without compelling evidence. Origen begins by assuming that 'Celsus' was an Epicurean of that name, even though it has long been obvious that 'Celsus' has adopted a Platonist point of view and that Origen's answers often rely on Plato's authority; in Proclus, Origenes regularly regards Longinus' explanations as turning Plato into a hedonist by having him aim at the reader's pleasure, and at one point Longinus even made reference to Epicurus. The paper uses recent work on the presence in Porphyry and Lucian of alternative names, whether inside philosophic schools or as a nom de plume, to argue that Origen could not be sure of his opponent's identity, but that as he wrote he came to suspect that 'Celsus' was in fact his younger contemporary Longinus, the initial teacher of Porphyry himself. The Yulong porphyry copper belt in eastern Tibet is located in the middle of Tethys–Himalayan metallogenic mega-province, which is one of the three major porphyry copper metallogenic mega-provinces. The Yulong copper belt belongs to the super porphyry copper belt and represents one of the most important copper mineralization prospecting areas in China. A significant quantity of research data shows that this study area belongs to the environment of intracontinental collision and compression, with a complex geological structure, magmatic rock development and excellent metallogenic geological background. However, because this area is located in an alpine and high-altitude area, it is difficult to carry out any traditional field geological surveys, and the existing studies of both prospecting and prediction are relatively weak. This study focused on information extraction for alteration minerals in the Yulong metallogenic belt and its surroundings based on multispectral data and hyperspectral data, establishing a spectral library of alteration minerals in this area. Based on Sentinel-1A radar data and Landsat-8 OLI color synthesis data, the linear structure of the study area was interpreted. On this basis, the information extraction results relating to alteration minerals obtained from multi-source remote sensing data, linear structure interpretation results and the geochemical exploration data of the study area were superimposed to comprehensively analyze the metallogenic geological conditions and mineralization characteristics in the area, establish remote sensing prospecting indicators there and optimize the potential areas for prospecting, providing technical support for the next step of prospecting and exploration in the area. The Bayan-Uul porphyry Au-Cu-(Mo) deposit occurs within the Mongol–Okhotsk Orogenic Belt, which is a part of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt. To understand geotectonic, petrogenesis, mineralization, and ore-forming fluid evolution of the Bayan-Uul deposit, we report petrographic and geochemical analyses of host rocks, mineralogy of ores, and fluid inclusion characteristics. Based on petrographic and mineralogical analyses, Cu, Mo, and Au mineralization occurs as disseminated and sulfide-bearing quartz–tourmaline veins hosted within granodiorites, monzodiorites, and diorite porphyry and tourmaline breccia. Four main alteration assemblages are identified: potassic, phyllic, argillic, and quartz–tourmaline alteration. The ore mineralogy of quartz–tourmaline veinlets are classified into A-type veinlets (quartz + tourmaline + chalcopyrite + magnetite + pyrite ± electrum), B-type veinlets (quartz + tourmaline + molybdenum + chalcopyrite + pyrite), and C-type veinlets (quartz + tourmaline + pyrite ± chalcopyrite). Fluid inclusions are found in quartz–tourmaline veinlets consisting mainly of liquid-rich two-phase (L-type), vapor-rich two-phase (V-type), and solid-bearing multi-phase (S-type) inclusions. The homogenization temperatures for the fluid inclusions in A-type, B-type, and C-type veinlets range from 215 to 490°C, 215 to 500 °C, and 160 to 350 °C and their salinity varies from 5.4 to 43.5 wt.%, 16 to 51.1 wt.%, and 3.4 to 24.1 wt.% NaCl equivalent, respectively. Coexistance of (L-type), (V-type), and (S-type) inclusions support fluid boiling. The δ18O values of ore fluids from different mineralizing A-, B-, and C-type veins are 8.7‰, 10.9‰, and 8.4‰, respectively, and the δ34S values of sulfide minerals range from −1.4‰ to 5.3‰, which indicates magmatic origin. The Wunugetu deposit, a large-scale porphyry copper–molybdenum deposit, is located in the southern Erguna block. Its ore bodies are primarily found within monzogranites, granite porphyries, and biotite monzogranites. Additionally, the deposit contains late-stage intrusive dykes of rhyolitic porphyries. This study examined the deposit's monzogranites and rhyolitic porphyries using lithogeochemistry, zircon U-Pb dating, and Hf isotopic analysis. The main findings include: (1) Zircon U-Pb dating showed that the monzogranites formed around 209.0 ± 1.0 Ma, whereas the rhyolitic porphyries in the northern portion formed around 170.49 ± 0.81 Ma, suggesting magmatic activity in the deposit spanned from the Late Triassic to the Middle Jurassic. (2) The monzogranites exhibited high silicon content (73.16–80.47 wt.%) and relatively low aluminum content (10.98–14.37 wt.%). They are enriched in alkalis (content: 3.42–10.10 wt.%) and deficient in magnesium and sodium, with aluminum saturation indices (A/CNK) ranging from 1.1 to 2.9. In addition, the monzogranites are enriched in large-ion lithophile elements (LILEs) such as Rb, K, and Ba and deficient in high-field-strength elements (HFSEs) like Nb, P, and Ti. (3) The monzogranites have low Zr + Nb + Ce + Y contents of (151.3–298.6 ppm) × 10−6 and 10,000 × Ga/Al ratios varying between 1.20 and 2.33, suggesting that they are characteristic of I-type granites. (4) Positive zircon εHf(t) values ranging from +0.3 to +7.6 in both rhyolitic porphyry and monzogranite samples, increasing with younger emplacement ages, imply that the deposit's rocks originated from magmatic mixing between mantle-derived mafic magmas and remelts of the juvenile crust. Considering these results and the regional geological evolution, this study proposes that the Wunugetu deposit was formed in an active continental margin setting and was influenced by the Late Triassic–Middle Jurassic southeastward subduction of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean. The large Dongtangzi Zn-Pb deposit is located in the southwest of the Fengxian–Taibai (abbreviated as Fengtai) ore cluster in the west Qinling orogen. The origin of the deposit is controversial, positing diverse genesis mechanisms such as sedimentary-exhalative (SEDEX), sedimentary-reformed, and epigenetic-hydrothermal types. This study combines systematic ore geology observations with high-precision Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd ages of 211 Ma and in situ S-Pb isotopes to constrain the timing and origin of mineralization. In situ S-Pb isotopic studies show that the sulfide ores display a narrow range of δ34S values from 1.1‰ to 10.2‰, with 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, and 208Pb/204Pb ratios of 18.07 to 18.27, 15.64 to 15.66, and 38.22 to 38.76, respectively. On the other hand, pyrites of the sedimentary period and the granite porphyry dike have δ34S values ranging from 15.8 to 21.4‰ and from 2.1 to 4.3‰ (with 206Pb/204Pb ratios of 18.09 to 18.10, 207Pb/204Pb ratios of 15.59 to 15.61, and 208Pb/204Pb ratios of 38.17 to 38.24), respectively. The above-mentioned S-Pb isotopic compositions indicate that the metallic materials involved in ore formation originated from a mixture of Triassic magmatic hydrothermal fluid and metamorphic basement. By integrating the regional geology, mineralization ages, and S-Pb isotopic studies, we propose that the Dongtangzi Zn-Pb deposit is the product of epigenetic hydrothermal fluid processes, driven by Late Triassic regional tectono-magmatic processes. Shoshonitic rocks are widely distributed in post-collisional settings and provide key information on deep geodynamic mechanisms and magmatic evolution. In this paper, we present petrographic, zircon U-Pb age-related, trace elemental, Hf isotopic, bulk-rock elemental, and Sr-Nd isotopic data of the Dalongtan shoshonitic syenite porphyries (DSSPs) in central Yunnan, southeastern Tibet. The DSSPs formed at 33.2 ± 0.3 Ma in a post-collisional setting. They define linear trends on Harker diagrams, and they display similar trace element patterns and enriched bulk-rock Sr-Nd isotopes [(87Sr/86Sr)i = 0.70964–0.70968, εNd(t) = −12.9 to −12.7] and zircon Hf isotopes (εHf(t) = −15.7 to −13.1) to the coeval mantle-derived potassic mafic rocks. This suggests that the DSSPs were fractionated from the lithospheric mantle-derived mafic magmas. The DSSPs, along with the coeval felsic and mafic magmatic rocks (37.2–32.3 Ma), exhibit a planar distribution on the SE Tibet and predate the left-lateral shearing of the Ailaoshan–Red River shear zone (ARSZ) (32–22 Ma), suggesting that there are no genetic relationships between them. The DSSPs have geochemical characteristics similar to those of A-type granites, with high total alkalinity (10.39–11.17 wt.%), HFSE concentrations (Zr + Nb + Ce + Y = 890.2–1054.3 ppm), Ga/Al ratios (10,000 × Ga/Al = 2.95–3.46), whole-rock zircon saturation temperatures (906–947 °C), and oxygen fugacity (ΔFMQ = +3.30–+4.65), indicating that they are products of the high-temperature melting of the lithosphere as a result of asthenosphere upwelling in extensional settings. Based on our data and regional observations, it is proposed that the generation of the DSSPs may be linked to the convective thinning of the thickened lithospheric mantle following the India–Asia collision. This article will place the rituals of the Greek Magical Papyri (PGM) for the acquisition of a supernatural assistant (paredros) into conversation with broader late antique debates surrounding the place of daimones within the celestial hierarchy. In considering the writings of Plotinus, Plutarch, Porphyry, and Iamblichus, it will survey points of contention surrounding questions of appropriate and inappropriate displays of ritual power, as facilitated by intermediary spirits who act as intercessors between humanity and the divine. Through analyzing the metaphysical underpinnings of the nature of the paredros, as variously articulated within the rituals for their conjuration within the Greek Magical Papyri, it will contextualize the aims of the ritualist against the backdrop of Iamblichus' theurgy in pursuit of mastery of—and intimate, transcendent communion with—the fundamental numinous nature of the world. In doing so, this article argues that Iamblichus' theurgy and the paredros rituals of the PGM ultimately grasp towards similar soteriological goals using different ritual methodologies; both seeking to elevate the incarnated body of the ritualist into a higher level of spiritual attainment through direct confrontation with the powers of nature. The Pulang copper deposit, formed in the Late Triassic, is the largest porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit in the eastern Tethys, and its genetic type and mineralization potential have received widespread attention. Identifying the characteristics of ore-forming fluids and the sources of ore-forming materials in the deep and peripheral ore bodies of Pulang is particularly important for constructing a complete porphyry copper mineralization system. Based on detailed core logging and geological observations, this article provides extensive petrographic, fluid inclusion micro-thermometry, laser Raman spectroscopy, and H-O-S isotope data on the veins of the main mineralization stage (B veins) in the first mining area and eastern ore section of the Pulang porphyry copper deposit. The genetic correlation between the eastern ore section and the first mining area is clarified, and their mineralization potential is inferred. The results indicate that the deep vein bodies in the first mining area exhibit multi-stage characteristics, and the fluid in B veins exhibits both high-temperature and salinity characteristics. The magma-derived early ore-forming fluids underwent processes such as boiling and experienced immiscibility during meteoric water mixing, which could be the primary mechanism of the precipitation of Cu, Mo, Au, and other metals. The outer eastern ore section is located in a medium-to-low-temperature hydrothermal mineralization zone far from the mineralization center. The Dasuji giant porphyry molybdenum deposit is one of the largest ore deposits recently discovered along the Yinshan–Yanshan–Liaoning molybdenum belt in China. Using this deposit along the Yinshan–Yanshan–Liaoning molybdenum belt as the study area, the present study proposed a two-stage approach aimed at marking out the hydrothermally altered anomalies in the study area for the guidance of future prospecting in other regions. First of all, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and specific Band Ratio methods were applied to the ASTER images from different acquisition dates to extract ferric oxides and hydroxyl alterations related to the porphyry molybdenum deposit. Then, the Fractal-Aided Anomaly-Overlaying Selection model was adopted to recognize two ferric and hydroxyl alteration layers for separating anomalies from the interferences caused by geology and random noise from the data. Furthermore, for lithological differentiation in the previously marked off area, the Random Forest Classifier (RFC) was applied to the composite data obtained via the ASTER, ETM, and DEM, and it is demonstrated that the DEM can significantly improve lithological mapping in areas with complex vegetation cover and topography. Based on field verification and comparison with geological maps, the research revealed that the suggested two-stage approach may effectively reduce erroneously recognized anomalies produced during the first stage while retaining ore-related anomalies for gigantic porphyry molybdenum deposit prospecting in the Dasuji area, which showed the good application potential of the proposed model to extract actual hydrothermally altered anomalies adopted for lithological discrimination and mapping. The research interest for many authors has been focused on the origin, recovery, and exploration of critical metals, including platinum-group elements (PGEs), with the aim of finding new potential sources. Many giant porphyry Cu deposits are well known around the Pacific Rim, in the Balkan–Carpathian system, Himalayas, China, and Malaysia. However, only certain porphyry Cu-Au deposits are characterized by the presence of significant Pd and Pt contents (up to 20 ppm). This contribution provides new analytical data on porphyry-Cu-Au±Pd±Pt deposits from the Chalkidiki Peninsula and an overview of the existing geochemical characteristics of selected porphyry-Cu deposits worldwide in order to define significant differences between PGE-fertile and PGE-poor porphyry-Cu intrusions. The larger Mg, Cr, Ni, Co, and Re contents and smaller LILE elements (Ba and Sr) in fertile porphyry-Cu-Au-(PGE) reflect the larger contribution from the mantle to the parent magmas. In contrast, the smaller Mg, Cr, Ni, Co, and Re contents and larger Ba and Sr in PGE-poor porphyry-Cu-Mo deposits from the Chalkidiki Peninsula (Vathi, Pontokerasia, and Gerakario) and Russia–Mongolia suggest the presence of parent magmas with a more crustal contribution. Although there is an overlap in the plots of those elements, probably due to the evolution of the ore-forming system, consideration of the maximum contents of Mg, Cr, Ni, and Co is proposed. Magnetite which separated from the mineralized Skouries porphyry of Greece showed small negative Eu anomalies (Eu/Eu* ≥ 0.55), reflecting a relatively high oxidation state during the cooling of the ore-forming system. The relatively high, up to 6 ppm (Pd+Pt), and low Cr content towards the transition from the porphyry to epithermal environment, coupled with the occurrence of Pd, Te, and Se minerals (merenskyite, clausthalite), and tetrahedrite–tennantite in fertile porphyry Cu deposits (Elatsite deposit, Bulgaria), reflect a highly fractionated ore-forming system. Thus, in addition to the crustal and mantle recycling, metasomatism, high oxidation state, and abundant magmatic water, other factors required for the origin of fertile porphyry-Cu deposits are the critical degree of mantle melting to release Pt and Pd in the ore-forming fluids and the degree of fractionation, as reflected in the mineral chemistry and geochemical data. Highly fractionated granites are widely distributed in the crust and provide unique windows into magmatic evolution. This study reports petrography, zircon U–Pb ages, trace elemental, and Hf isotopic, as well as whole-rock elemental and Nd isotopic data of highly fractionated granite porphyries from the Shiguanshan area in western Yunnan, southeastern Tibet. The granite porphyries were formed at 34.0 ± 0.3 Ma in a post-collisional setting. They are strongly peraluminous (A/CNK = 1.95–2.80), have high SiO2 content (SiO2 = 78.16–79.13 wt.%) and zircon saturation temperatures (803–829 °C, average 819 °C), and low MgO, with pronounced enrichment in Pb, U, Th, and Rb, and depletion in Ti, Eu, P, Sr, and Ba, and belong to highly fractionated A-type granites. These rocks define linear trends on Harker diagrams and display similar enriched whole-rock Nd isotopic (εNd(t) = −12.8 to −12.3) and zircon Hf isotopic (εHf(t) = −10.4 to −8.8) compositions compared to the published data of coeval mantle-derived syenite porphyries, which can be attributed to fractional crystallization processes. A quantitative model suggests that the Shiguanshan granite porphyries likely formed through the fractionation process of a mineral assemblage consisting of plagioclase, K-feldspar, biotite, and amphibole (in a ratio of 40:30:25:5), with fractionation degrees of 50%–55%. The magmatic textures and zircons, decoupling between the REE tetrad effect and fractionation of twin-elements, along with the modeling result of Rayleigh fractionation, suggest that the REE tetrad effect in the Shiguanshan granite porphyries may be caused by fractionation of accessory minerals. Our data, along with regional observations, propose that the generation of these granite porphyries is possibly related to lithospheric removal following the Indo–Asia collision. The Bangongco–Nujiang metallogenic belt of Tibet is a main suture zone in the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, which is known as an important porphyry–epithermal–skarn Cu-polymetallic mineralization zone in China. The western part of the Bangongco–Nujiang metallogenic belt exposes several medium high-silica terrestrial alkaline volcanic rocks with strong alteration influenced by collision orogeny. Some research has shown that clues to mineralization such as malachite and gossan are found on the surface. However, volcanic rock areas with varied topography place a huge burden on geological investigation, and the existing research on predicting mineralization is relatively scarce. This paper describes the extraction of alteration mineral information based on medium spatial resolution and hyperspectral resolution images, establishing a spectral library of alteration minerals in this area. By analyzing radar data, digital elevation, and synthesis results of different spectral bands, we combine remote sensing with geographic information technology to establish crater markers. The extraction results from multisource and chemical exploration data are superimposed onto the analysis of mineralization characteristics and geological conditions so as to establish the mineralization signatures for terrestrial volcanic rock areas. This article presents data on the composition of biotite from igneous rocks of the Shakhtama complex, which are associated with various types of mineralization in Eastern Transbaikalia: Au-Cu-Fe-skarn, skarn-porphyry, Mo-porphyry, rare-metal–greisen, Au-polymetallic and Au-Bi. The major element and halogen contents were determined by EPMA. The content of trace elements was determined by means of LA-ICP-MS. As a result, the specific traits of the composition of the biotite of igneous rocks associated with specific types of mineralization of the Eastern Transbaikalia were determined. The biotites of rare-metal–greisen deposits are characterized by the maximum content of fluorine (>2 wt. %) and low chlorine content (<0.04 wt. %). In addition, such biotites are characterized by high XFe (>0.47). Within Eastern Transbaikalia, igneous rocks developed at the Bystrinsky deposit are potentially ore-bearing for the "classic" porphyry type of mineralization. They have the highest values of IV(F/Cl) (4.9–7.1) and IV(F) (2–2.8) and the lowest values of Log(XMg/XFe) (0.1–0.4). The trace element composition clearly distinguishes biotites from rare-metal–greisen deposits and is identified by the highest contents (ppm) Ga > 65, Li > 600, Sn > 20, Mn > 2000, Cs > 50, Zn > 600. Biotites of Au-polymetallic and Au-Bi deposits occupy an average position between rare-metal–greisen and Mo-porphyry ones. Biotites of Mo-porphyry deposits differ in minimum values (ppm) of Sn < 3, Zn < 160, and low values of Li (150–290), V (290–440), and Ga (39–48). In general, the chemical composition of biotites shows that the degree of igneous rock fractionation of deposits increases in the series: porphyry–skarn–polymetallic–rare-metal. The statistical modeling with ILR-RPCA-back CLR has two problems when dealing with the closure effect of geochemical data. Firstly, after performing isometric logratio (ilr) transformation, robust principal component analysis (RPCA) is employed for processing. The double-plot diagram illustrates that the element sequence transformation occurs in the first and second principal components, while the unique principal component remains unattainable. Secondly, by transforming both the score and load into the centered logratio (CLR) space using the U matrix, it is possible to obtain a score result that corresponds to the original order of elements according to the CLR = ILR·U formula. However, for obtaining a load result that corresponds to the original order of elements, an alternative formula "CLR = UT·ILR" must be used instead. In order to determine the optimal element assemblage for porphyry copper deposits, this study conducted statistical analysis on mineral assemblages from discovered deposits in the Gangdese metallogenic belt and identified Cu, Mo, Au, Ag, W, and Bi as key elements associated with porphyry copper deposits. Subsequently, by analyzing the singularities of the composite elements, the spatial overlay of the combined element is carried out, and concentration-area (C-A) fractal filtering is applied to identify the anomaly and background areas. To facilitate comparison, we conducted an analysis of various mineral and ore deposit types, revealing the following findings: (1) Combination elements exhibit superior recognition capability than single elements in porphyry copper deposits; (2) Skarn-type copper deposits unrelated to porphyry show a high degree of dissimilarity compared to those related to porphyry; (3) this method offers advantages over the single element method in evaluating porphyry gold deposits by reducing anomaly levels and initial investment during the evaluation stage for porphyry copper anomalies; (4) However, this method has limited ability in distinguishing between porphyry copper and molybdenum deposits. The Lower Urgen molybdenum deposit (44,856 t Mo @ 0.141%), situated in the northern Great Xing'an Range, is a newly discovered porphyry molybdenum deposit. Mineralization is characterized by veinlet-disseminated- and vein-type quartz–sulfide orebodies primarily occurring in the cupola of the Early Cretaceous granite porphyry stock. In this study, we present a detailed description of the ore geology, molybdenite Re-Os dating, H-O-S-Pb isotopic compositions, and fluid inclusion (FI) analyses including petrography, laser Raman, and microthermometry to precisely constrain the timing of ore formation, the origin of ore-forming fluids and materials, as well as the metal precipitation mechanism. Molybdenite Re-Os dating yielded two model ages of 141.2 ± 1.5 and 147.7 ± 1.7 Ma, coeval with the regional Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous molybdenum metallogenesis. The hydrothermal process can be divided into three stages: the quartz–molybdenite(–pyrite) stage, quartz–polymetallic sulfide stage, and quartz–carbonate stage. Four types of FIs were distinguished for quartz, including two-phase liquid-rich (L-type), saline (S-type), CO2-rich (C1-type), and CO2-bearing (C2-type) FIs. Microthermometric data showed that the homogenization temperatures and salinities from the early to late stages were 240–430 °C, 5.0–11.9, and 30.1–50.8 wt% NaCl equiv.; 180–280 °C and 3.0–9.1 wt% NaCl equiv.; and 120–220 °C and 0.2–7.9 wt% NaCl equiv., respectively, suggesting a decreasing trend. H-O isotopic compositions indicate that the ore-forming fluids were initially of magmatic origin with the increasing incorporation of meteoric water. S-Pb isotopic compositions indicate that the ore-forming materials originated from granitic magmas, and the mineralization is genetically related to the ore-bearing granite porphyry stock in the deposit. Fluid immiscibility and fluid–rock interaction are collectively responsible for the massive deposition of molybdenite in stage 1, whereas fluid mixing and immiscibility played a critical role in the deposition of polymetallic sulfide in stage 2. Northwest Zhejiang area (NWZJ) is one of the important parts of the large Qingzhou-Hangzhou mineralized belt in South China formed during the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous period. Through the study of zircon LA-ICPMS U-Pb dating, whole-rock geochemistry, and Sr-Nd isotopes for the Wujinshan granitoid in NWZJ, two distinct S-type granitic rocks of porphyry type granodiorite and granite were identified, and the two ages of 146.4 ± 1.5 Ma for granodiorite porphyry and 141.9 ± 1.4 Ma for granite porphyries were obtained. These rocks exhibited a geochemical affinity for S-type granitoid, and the two magmatic ages indicate that these rocks were intruded in two magmatic pulses. The Late Jurassic granodiorite porphyry showed moderate SiO2 (64.38–67.89 wt.%) with higher K2O + Na2O (6.22–6.78 wt.%), lower K2O/Na2O (0.57–0.96), moderate Zr (170–215 ppm), high Sr (302–475 ppm), and low Mg# (31–32) contents. The Early Cretaceous granite porphyries contained high SiO2 (69.68–74.85 wt.%), variable K2O + Na2O (4.60–6.99), high K2O/Na2O (1.72–23.53), slightly higher Zr (160–255 ppm), variable Sr (25–412 ppm), and very low to intermediate Mg# (13–44). The granodiorites had intermediate ∑REE (149–177 ppm), while granite samples showed moderate to high ∑REE content (147–271 ppm), and both rocks showed negative Eu anomalies (0.18–0.29). We propose that these two rocks were predominantly generated by the partial melting of Mesoproterozoic metamorphic basement and underwent variable degrees of fractionation and evolution. The Late Jurassic granodiorite porphyry was formed by the partial melting of Mesoproterozoic metamorphic basement with slab-derived melts or basaltic lower crust input following fractional crystallization, while the Early Cretaceous granite porphyries were generated by the partial melting of Mesoproterozoic metamorphic basement and crystal fractionation with variable magma mixing and assimilation in the upper crust. In recent years, the development of airborne magnetic survey technology based on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been rapidly advancing. The commonly used systems are the fixed-wing UAV-based, multi-rotors UAV-based, and unmanned helicopters-based magnetic survey systems. And, a type of hybrid UAV that uses a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and fixed-wing cruise mode is increasingly being used to carry airborne magnetic survey systems. To meet the requirements of most UAVs for small-sized and lightweight payloads, a miniature magnetic survey system was developed and integrated into a hybrid fixed-wing UAV and formed an aeromagnetic survey system. And, a peripheral mineral exploration test was conducted in a known porphyry copper–gold deposit in southeastern China using the system. By processing the collected magnetic data with 3D inversion of susceptibilities, potential ore-bearing intrusive rocks were quickly identified and delineated, providing clues for peripheral mineral exploration in the mining area. A study of both in situ and detrital gold from different deposit types in British Columbia was undertaken to establish deposit-specific compositional characteristics in terms of alloy composition and suites of mineral inclusions. The study is based on 11,840 particles from 160 localities in which nine gold deposit types are represented, although there is a strong bias towards gold of orogenic, low-sulphidation epithermal, and alkalic porphyry origin. In general, Ag values in gold alloys are not a powerful discriminator for deposit type, but minor metals may prove useful where detectable, e.g., Cu in gold from ultramafic associations and Pd and Hg in gold from alkalic porphyry systems. The characterization of inclusion suites is far more illuminating, as they correlate strongly with the mineralogy of auriferous ores from different deposit types. This outcome has confirmed the validity of designing an indicator methodology based on inclusion suites and has permitted the prediction of inclusion suites for gold from other deposit types where data are more scarce. The compositional templates generated in the study were applied to identify the source deposit type(s) of gold from 41 localities (a total of 2916 detrital gold particles) where gold genesis was previously unknown. Porphyry Mo deposits are the most important type of Mo resource. They result from a high oxygen fugacity of the parent magma, which acts as an effective indicator for evaluating the mineralization. In the ore-forming system of porphyry Mo deposits, sulfur exists mainly as sulfate in highly oxidized magma but as sulfide in ores. What triggers the reduction in the mineralization system that leads to sulfide precipitation has not yet been determined. Most of the previous studies have focused on the origin and evolution of the ore-forming parent magma, and the effects of reductive surrounding rocks on porphyry mineralization have been ignored. In this study, a comprehensive geological–geochemical investigation and review have been performed on the typical porphyry Mo deposits, the Nannihu-Sandaozhuang, Yuchiling, and Shapingou deposits in China, and the Mt. Emmons deposits in America. Black carbonaceous sedimentary layers commonly surround porphyry Mo ores, which are widely altered and discolored during mineralization. CH4 is commonly present in fluid inclusions in the main mineralization stage, and the δ13CV-PDB values of calcite and fluid inclusions from the altered surrounding rocks and ore minerals are generally low and significantly different from those of marine sedimentary carbonate rocks, indicating that the involvement of reductive components from carbonaceous surrounding rocks might be key to the redox state transformation leading to mineral precipitation. On the other hand, the CH4 produced by the thermal decomposition of organic matter or carbonaceous reaction with H2O can diffuse into the ore-forming system along the structural fractures and reduce the SO42− in the ore-forming hydrothermal fluids to form sulfide precipitation without direct contact between the intrusion and the carbonaceous surrounding rocks. Moreover, the CH4 content controls the location of the orebody formation with the high content producing orebodies mainly in the porphyry intrusion, while the low CH4 content results in the orebodies mainly occurring at the contact zone between the porphyry and carbonaceous surrounding rocks. Compared to the magmatic stage of mineralization, the involvement of reductive components in the carbonaceous surrounding rocks during the hydrothermal stage is more favorable for forming giant/large Mo deposits. The highly oxidized porphyry with reductive carbonaceous surrounding rocks or Fe-rich volcanic rocks offers a new indicator for efficiently evaluating porphyry Mo mineralization. The location and development of porphyry copper deposits is a key issue for the mining industry. In this study, the Gondwana metallogenic belt was chosen as the study area to compare multiple methods for extracting multi-source geological elements to maximize the accuracy of the datasets used for mining evaluation and to use them to assess porphyry copper mineability. By comparison, a support vector machine (SVM) with an overall classification accuracy of 97.6573% and a Kappa coefficient of 0.9806 was used to extract the lithological distribution of the study area. Spectral feature-enhanced principal component analysis (EPCA) was combined with ASTER images to extract alteration information, with significant improvements in spatial aggregation and overall area compared to other alteration extraction methods, while a hierarchical alteration interpolation method was proposed to overcome the limitations of relying solely on remote sensing images to obtain surface alteration information and qualitatively extend deep alteration information. In addition, by overlaying various geoscientific factors affecting copper mineralization and mining, a Pearson correlation analysis is carried out in conjunction with currently proven or mined copper occurrences, and a weight of evidence approach is used to classify the study area into four mineability classes, which is important for narrowing down potential target areas for mineral exploration and assessing their mining value while contributing to an in-depth understanding of the role of geological elements in mineralization and development. The Xiongcun Cu–Au ore district is in the southern middle Gangdese Metallogenic Belt, Tibet, and formed during Neo-Tethyan oceanic subduction. The Xiongcun ore district mainly comprises two deposits, the No. I and No. II deposits, which were formed by two individual mineralization events according to deposit geology and Re–Os isotopic dating of molybdenite. The No. I deposit is similar to a reduced porphyry copper–gold deposit, given the widespread occurrence of primary and/or hydrothermal pyrrhotite and common CH4-rich and rare N2-rich fluid inclusions. The No. II deposit, similar to classic oxidized porphyry copper–gold deposits, contains highly oxidized minerals, including magnetite, anhydrite, and hematite. The halogen chemistry of the ore-forming fluid from the No. I and No. II deposits is still unclear. Biotite geochemistry with halogen contents was used to investigate the differences in ore-forming fluid between the No. I and No. II deposits. Hydrothermal biotite from the No. I deposit, usually intergrown with sphalerite, is Mg-rich and classified as phlogopite and Mg-biotite, and hydrothermal biotite from the No. II deposit is classified as Mg-biotite. Hydrothermal biotite from the No. I deposit has significantly higher SiO2, MnO, MgO, F, Li, Sc, Zn, Rb, Tl, and Pb contents and lower Al2O3, FeOtot, Cl, Ba, Cr, V, Co, Ni, Y, Sr, Zr, Th, and Cu contents than the biotite from the No. II deposit. Hydrothermal biotites from the No. I and No. II deposits yield temperatures ranging from 230 °C to 593 °C and 212 °C to 306 °C, respectively. The calculated oxygen fugacity and fugacity ratios indicate that the hydrothermal fluid of the No. I deposit has a higher F content, oxygen fugacity, and log(fHF/fHCl) value and a lower log(fH2O/fHF) value than the hydrothermal fluid from the No. II deposit. The biotite geochemistry shows that the No. I and No. II deposits formed from different hydrothermal fluids. The hydrothermal fluid of the No. I deposit was mixed with meteoric waters containing organic matter, resulting in a decrease in oxygen fugacity and more efficient precipitation of gold. The No. I and No. II deposits were formed by a Cl-rich hydrothermal system conducive to transporting Cu and Au. The decreasing Cl, oxygen fugacity, and temperature may be the key factors in Cu and Au precipitation. Kriging has some problems such as ignoring sample values in giving weights to them, reducing dependence structure to a single covariance function, and facing negative confidence bounds. In view to these problems of kriging in this study to estimate Cu in the Iju porphyry Cu deposit in Iran, we used a convex linear combination of Archimedean copulas. To delineate the spatial dependence structure of Cu, the best Frank, Gumbel, and Clayton copula models were determined at different lags to fit with higher-order polynomials. The resulting Archimedean copulas were able to describe all kinds of spatial dependence structures, including asymmetric lower and upper tails. The copula and kriging methods were compared through a split-sample cross-validation test whereby the drill-hole data were divided into modeling and validation sets. The cross-validation showed better results for geostatistical estimation through copula than through kriging in terms of accuracy and precision. The mean of the validation set, which was 0.1218%, was estimated as 0.1278% and 0.1369% by the copula and kriging methods, respectively. The correlation coefficient between the estimated and measured values was higher for the copula method than for the kriging method. With 0.0143%2 and 0.0162%2 values, the mean square error was substantially smaller for copula than for kriging. A boxplot of the results demonstrated that the copula method was better in reproducing the Cu distribution and had fewer smoothing problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The recently discovered 460 Gaodi porphyry Mo-Cu deposit is a sub-economic deposit characterized by low Mo-Cu grades, dispersed mineralization, and separated Mo- and Cu-ore bodies. This study aims to elucidate the factors underlying this type of sub-economic mineralization. Electron-microprobe analyses of biotite from ore-related granite porphyry yielded Ti-in-biotite crystallization temperatures of 677–734 °C (an average of 719 °C) and biotite phenocryst crystallization depths of 6.0 to 12.9 km. LA-ICP-MS analyses of zircons from the same sample revealed average zircon Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios of 299.7 and elevated zircon lg(ƒO2) ratios, with an average ΔFMQ of +6.6 ± 1.9. These discoveries suggest that the magma responsible for ore formation boasts a high degree of oxidation, yet also possesses a magma chamber located at a significant depth within the upper crust. This implies an extensive exsolving depth for fluids. Furthermore, our microthermometry analysis of fluid inclusions reveals that a portion of the fluid experiences considerable conductive cooling as it ascends along the conduit, owing to the depth of fluid exsolution. This process results in the ore fluids remaining in the liquid-only region without undergoing boiling, which is conducive to the enrichment of metals. The Elatsite–Chelopech ore field in the northern part of the Panagyurishte district in Central Bulgaria comprises numerous spatially associated porphyry copper and epithermal gold deposits and prospects. In addition to the mineralization and alteration features, trace elements, lead and sulfur isotope signatures of sulfide minerals from porphyry copper, base metal and gold-base metal deposits/prospects have been studied. LA-ICP-MS analyses of pyrite, arsenopyrite and sulfosalt minerals validate them as major carriers for Au, Ag, Sb, Se and Co. Pyrite from the three types of mineralization has specific geochemical characteristics. Pyrite from the porphyry copper deposits/prospects has generally lower total trace element content compared to pyrite from the epithermal prospects, except for Se, Co and Ni. Pyrite from the base metal and gold-base metal veins is enriched in As, Au, Ag, Sb and Pb. In pyrite from the base metal deposits, Co and Ni have contents comparable to the pyrite from the porphyry copper deposits, while pyrite from the gold-base metal veins shows lower Co and Ni. Arsenopyrite from these deposits shows similar features. Similarly, sphalerite from the gold-base metal veins also has lower Co content compared to sphalerite from the base metal veins but higher In and Cu contents. In addition to the close spatial relationships between the Elatsite and Gorna Kamenitsa porphyry Cu deposits and Negarstitsa-West and Dolna Kamenitsa base metal prospects, as well as similarities in the mineralization and alteration styles, the lead isotopic (206Pb/204Pb = 18.61–18.68, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.64–15.65 for porphyry and 206Pb/204Pb = 18.55–18.67, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.64–15.68 for base metal) and sulfur isotopic (δ34S values of −3 to +1‰ for porphyry and δ34S values of −1.7 to +3.5‰ for base metal) signatures of sulfides support the idea of a genetic link between these two types of deposits. The porphyry and base-metal mineralization result from a common major ore-forming event during the Late Cretaceous, corresponding to deep/higher-temperature and shallower/distal/lower-temperature environments, respectively. In particular, more radiogenic lead (206Pb/204Pb = 18.41–18.47, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.67–15.76) and slightly different sulfur isotopic compositions (δ34S values of +3.5 to +10.6‰) of sulfides from the distal gold-base metal veins of Kordunsko Dere, Svishti Plaz and Shipkite might be a consequence of the interaction of the ore-forming fluids with an external older crustal and isotopically positive S source. Tourmaline tends to occur in porphyry Cu–Au deposits as an alteration or gangue mineral. However, abundant primary tourmalines in miarolitic cavities or interstitially distributed with other silicate minerals have been found in the Shiwu porphyry Cu–Au deposit in West Junggar, NW China. These tourmalines are normally accompanied by pyrite and have a high affinity for Cu and Au mineralization. A combined study of the petrology, geochronology, isotope, and mineral geochemistry data of the tourmaline-rich igneous rocks and the wallrock of tourmaline-poor pyroxene diorite has been completed. The laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA–ICP–MS) U–Pb dating of zircons from tourmaline-poor pyroxene diorite, tourmaline-rich diorite, and tourmaline-rich andesite shows the ages of the zircons to be 317.0 ± 1.0 Ma (MSWD = 0.37, n = 18), 315.8 ± 1.0 Ma (MSWD = 0.84, n = 22), and 306.4 ± 1.6 Ma (MSWD = 1.15, n = 15), respectively. The relatively low values of Hf isotopes (εHf(t) = +6.0 to +13.6) suggest that the tourmaline-poor pyroxene diorite is sourced from a mixed melt of juvenile mantle materials with old crustal components. The tourmaline-rich diorite and the tourmaline-rich andesite that contain higher εHf(t) values (ranging from +13.3 to +17.9) are mainly derived from juvenile mantle materials. In addition, the εHf(t) values in the tourmaline-poor pyroxene diorite and the tourmaline-rich diorite (+13.3 to +16.1) and andesite (+16.3 to +17.9) are gradually rising with their age evolution, which indicates that more and more mantle-derived components are joining in their formation process. This process has also been recorded in primary tourmaline growth, e.g., the EPMA profile reveals an increase in the contents of Fe and other metals and a decrease in Al contents from the inside (core) to the outside (growth zoning). Therefore, the injection of mantle-derived magma that could supply the large amount of copper and gold was critical for the formation of the Shiwu porphyry Cu–Au deposit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The magmatic process within upper crust encompasses various contents such as the transition between magmatic and hydrothermal systems and changes in oxygen fugacity (ƒO2), which ultimately play key roles in the formation of porphyry Cu deposits (PCDs). However, tracing these magmatic processes, especially in porphyry systems, is not an easy task. This study reported the detailed process of magmatic fluid exsolution and systematical variation of magmatic ƒO2 within the upper crust of a Tongchang–Chang'anchong porphyry Cu deposit, based on detailed investigations of mineral crystallization sequences and compositional features of the minerals in the fertile porphyries. Results indicate that the fertile porphyries show a high initial ƒO2, with ΔFMQ ≥ +3.0 (ΔFMQ is the deviation of logƒO2 from the fayalite–magnetite–quartz (FMQ) buffer). The magmatic ƒO2 (ΔFMQ) continued to decrease to ~+2 until fluid exsolution occurred at ~790 °C due to wall-rock contamination. The magmatic fluid exsolution process caused a temporary increase in the ƒO2 (to ΔFMQ = ~+3.4). The high magmatic ƒO2 during this process (790–750 °C) resulted in a higher content of ore-forming materials in the exsolved magmatic fluid. When the temperature dropped below 750 °C, the magmatic ƒO2 began to continuously decrease and eventually reached ΔFMQ = ~+0.6. The lower magmatic ƒO2 hindered the further migration of ore-forming materials through the exsolved fluid during this process (< 750 °C). Results of this study indicate that the initial magma during the upper crustal magmatic process of PCDs generally has a high ƒO2, and the contamination of reduced components can significantly decrease the magmatic ƒO2. The early magmatic fluid exsolution process can maintain a high magmatic ƒO2 condition, thereby efficiently extracting ore-forming minerals and producing ore-forming fluids, which is the key to the formation of PCDs. The latter continuous decrease in magmatic ƒO2 during the fluid exsolution process may be the reason preventing the Tongchang–Chang'anchong porphyry Cu deposit to form a giant PCD. The origin of the anorthosite-rapakivi granite-bearing rock complexes was a topic of research for geologists for more than a century. Magmatic systems that produce these complexes were widely developed in the Precambrian and have no direct analogues in modern times. The main goal of this study was to characterize the conditions under which primitive granitoids formed and to shed light on the history of ore matter transport during these stages. The object of the research was granite porphyry dikes—a subeffusive analogue of rapakivi granite from the Salmi batholith in the Fennoscandian Shield. Characteristic solid-phase inclusions of a mineral paragenesis of mafic rocks, as well as inclusions of sulfide melts, were found in zircon from this type of rock. These sulfide inclusions were homogenized by heating, and subsequently, the trace element composition was determined by the LA-ICP-MS method. The geochemistry of zircons was studied by the SIMS method, and the temperature of their formation was determined using a Ti-geothermometer. The temperature of the studied zircon grain formation varied from 925 to 765 °C. The values of ƒO2 for the early stages of the rock formation were in the region below the boundary of the FMQ buffer. The presence of two sulfide melts at the time at which the sulfide inclusions were captured by the zircon, pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite, and sphalerite-chalcopyrite compositions was established. The capture of sulfide inclusions from the pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite composition occurred above 841 °C, while in sphalerite-chalcopyrite, they occurred at a lower temperature of 765 °C. Porphyry copper ore is a vital strategic mineral resource. It is often associated with significant hydrothermal alteration, which alters the original mineralogical properties of the rock. Extracting alteration information from remote sensing data is crucial for porphyry copper exploration. However, the current method of extracting hydrothermal alteration information from ASTER remote sensing data does not consider the influence of disturbing factors, such as topography, and ignores the weak report of surface minerals, which has significant limitations. Therefore, this paper selects the Gondwana region of the East Tethys–Himalayan tectonic domain as the study area, combines waveform calculation with principal component analysis methods, proposes a spectral feature-enhanced principal component analysis (EPCA) method, and constructs a model to complete the automatic selection of principal components for each scene image. The results show that the etching information extracted by the EPCA method is significantly better than the traditional Crosta method in terms of etching area and spatial aggregation and discovers several prospective mineralization areas that have not yet been explored and exploited, such as Sakya and Xietongmen counties in Rikaze, providing theoretical support for subsequent mineralization exploration and large-scale mineral extraction. Meanwhile, obtaining the alteration information of the whole area can help to understand the distribution of mineralizing elements from a macroscopic perspective in the future, which is of great scientific significance in order to deeply analyze the formation process of metal deposits in mineralizing areas and improve the theory of porphyry mineralization. The Lut Block is a potential porphyry-style mineralized region in Iran including the well-explored Shadan porphyry gold-copper deposit, which has an extensive zone of gold- and copper-bearing stockwork-like sheeted veins. The structural setting of this deposit is a key to understanding the genesis of the mineralization. Our field studies show that the mineralization occurs as steeply dipping ore bodies along NW–SE transpressional faults. The zones with a high frequency of veins and volume of veins have a NW–SE trend, which is closely related to transpressional faults. We propose that such a compressional regime inhibits focused ore-forming fluid flow to higher levels in the crust. After a local change in stress field, fluid depressurization and channeling along transpressional faults generated the sheeted veins. This indicates an important role of these transpressional faults in focusing and controlling mineralization within this porphyry deposit, which has important implications for the exploration of porphyry deposits on a regional scale. The spatial distribution of sheeted veins is used to examine gold anomalies from lithogeochemical data extracted by fractal models. The results show that a combination of high vein density and high vein volume areas with gold anomalies could result in identifying areas with greater potential at the deposit to regional scale. Porphyry deposits are the dominant sources of copper and major sources of several base and precious metals. They are commonly formed via the repeated emplacement of hydrous magmas and associated fluid exsolution. As a result, mineralized hydrothermal veins may undergo multiple deposition and reopening processes that are not fully accounted for by existing fluid models. The Tongchang porphyry Cu deposit is a rare example of being related to a single intrusion. The simplicity in intrusive history provides an ideal starting point for studying fluid processes in more complex multi-intrusion porphyry systems. Detailed scanning electron microscope (SEM) cathodoluminescence imaging (CL) revealed rich microtextures in quartz and anhydrite that point to a fluid timeline encompassing early quartz deposition followed by fluid-aided dynamic recrystallization, which was succeeded by an intermediate stage of quartz dissolution and subsequent deposition, and ended with a late stage of continuous quartz deposition, brecciation, and fracturing. Vein reopening is more common than expected. Fifteen out of seventeen examined vein samples contained quartz and/or anhydrite that was older or younger than the vein age defined by vein sequences. Thermobarometry and solubility analysis suggests that the fluid events occurred in a general cooling path (from 650 °C to 250 °C), interspersed with two episodes of fluid pressurization. The first episode occurred at high-T (>500 °C), under lithostatic conditions alongside dynamic recrystallization, whereas the second one took place at a lower temperature (~400 °C), under lithostatic to hydrostatic transition conditions. The main episode of chalcopyrite veining took place subsequent to the second overpressure episode at temperatures of 380–300 °C. Different ore deposit types may evolve from a common magmatic-hydrothermal system. Establishing a genetic link between different deposit types in an ore cluster can not only deepen the understanding of the magmatic-hydrothermal mineralization process but can also guide exploration. Both the Nihe iron-oxide–apatite (IOA) deposit and the Shaxi porphyry Cu–Au deposit in the Lower Yangtze Valley, Anhui, Southeast China, formed in the Luzong Cretaceous volcanic basin at ~130 Ma. We examined a temporal–spatial and potential genetic link between these deposits based on stratigraphic lithofacies sections, biotite and clinopyroxene mineralogical chemistry, zircon chronology, Hf isotopes, and trace elements. Stratigraphy, petrology, mineralogical chemistry, and available fluid inclusion results support that the emplacement depth of the Nihe ore-related porphyry is shallower than that of the Shaxi porphyry. The magmatic zircon and hydrothermal zircon from Nihe provided U–Pb ages of 130.6 ± 0.7 Ma and 130.7 ± 0.7 Ma, respectively. The magmatic zircon U–Pb age (130.0 ± 0.8 Ma) of Shaxi overlaps with its molybdenite Re–Os age (130.0 ± 1.0 Ma). The agreement between the mineralization and porphyry emplacement ages of Nihe and Shaxi indicates a temporal coincidence and supports a possible genetic link between the two deposits, considering their close spatial relationship (in the same ore district, 15 km). The zircon Hf isotopes and trace elements support the evolution of both deposits from an enriched lithospheric mantle, although the Shaxi deposit may have experienced contamination of the Jiangnan-type basement. Both deposits lie above the fayalite-magnetite-quartz buffer, but the Nihe magmatic zircons are of lower temperature and less oxidized than that of Shaxi. The much higher Eu/Eu* and Yb/Dy values of zircons from Shaxi are likely caused by the suppression of early plagioclase crystallization and the prevalence of amphibole fractionation, thus indicating more hydrous content of the Shaxi ore-related magma. Additionally, the Shaxi ore-related porphyry has higher zircon Hf concentrations, suggesting that the porphyry Cu–Au deposit has experienced a greater degree of magma fractionation. Our study highlights that the Nihe IOA deposit and the Shaxi porphyry Cu–Au deposit have a common magma source, while different extent of crust contamination, magma oxidation state, hydrous content, and degree of magma fractionation collectively result in the two distinct ore deposits. This possible genetic link suggests a great potential of porphyry Cu–Au-PGE mineralization in the Middle–Lower Yangtze River metallogenetic belt, especially in the deep part of the IOA district in the Luzong Cretaceous volcanic basin. The East Kunlun Orogenic Belt (EKOB) is the most important Triassic polymetallic metallogenic belt in China. A study about the petrogenesis of the ore-related intrusions is of great significance to the geodynamic evolution of orogenic belts. In this study, analysis of U–Pb zircon dating, whole-rock major and trace element compositions, and zircon Hf isotopes for the granitoids hosting the Aikengdelesite Mo (–Cu) and Halongxiuma Mo deposits in the EKOB are studied to determine their chronology and petrogenesis. Zircon date results show that the Aikengdelesite granite porphyry and the Halongxiuma granodiorite porphyry formed at 244.2 ± 1.7 Ma and 230.0 ± 1.0 Ma respectively. All samples of the Aikengdelesite granite porphyry and the Halongxiuma granodiorite porphyry which have high SiO2 and K2O contents, and low MgO and Cr, belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series. The Aikengdelesite granite porphyry samples show I-type geochemical affinities, whereas the Halongxiuma granodiorite porphyry samples are A-type granitoids. They all show negative zircon εHf(t) values (−7.4 to −3.3 and −3.7 to −2.5). We suggest that the Aikengdelesite granite porphyry may have been derived from the lower continental crust. While the Halongxiuma granodiorite porphyry could have formed by partial melting of basic lower crustal materials. By combining the results of this study with previous data, two magmatic and mineralization peak periods (278–237 Ma and 230–210 Ma) were observed in the Paleo-Tethys of the EKOB. Porphyry–skarn deposits occurring in the first episode were formed in the setting of an active continental margin related to the Paleo-Tethys Ocean plate subduction (e.g., Aikengdelesite porphyry deposit), while deposits occurring in the second episode were formed in a post-collisional setting (e.g., Halongxiuma porphyry deposit). Mechanical cells have seen an exponential increase in size over the past 60 years. However, a possible size limitation due to carrying capacity constraints has been raised. Taking a Cu porphyry case, a cell sizing exercise is used to show that possible size limitation due to carrying capacity can be tested using available techniques. The Dongxiang tungsten–copper deposit is a large W–Cu deposit located in the northeast of Jiangxi province in south China. Previous studies have mainly considered the geochemical and isotopic attributes of the ore deposit, but information is still lacking on the genesis and setting of Dongxiang W–Cu mineralization-related intrusive rocks. This paper presents systematic elements and Sr–Nd–Hf isotopic data of the Dongxiang granodiorite porphyry. The Dongxiang granodiorite porphyry is intermediate–acidic in composition, with SiO2 contents of 60.00–75.16 wt.%, Al2O3 contents of 10.15–18.53 wt.%, an K2O contents of 2.95–4.28 wt.%. The REEs content ranges from 64.2 to 198.1 ppm, with LREE/HREE ratios of 7.67–17.47. It is characterized by adakitic geochemical affinities with high Sr/Y and (La/Yb)N ratios but low Y and Yb contents. A slight Eu anomaly, extreme depletion in Y and Yb, relatively low MgO content, and relatively high 207Pb/204Pb ratios together indicate that the Dongxiang granodiorite porphyry was likely derived from partial melting of the thickened lower continental crust. Based on zircon εHf(t) values (−11.8–−4.5), two-stage Hf model ages (1.33–1.94 Ga), and the regional geological setting, it can be inferred that Dongxiang granodiorite porphyry magma is mainly derived from Neoproterozoic juvenile crust with the involvement of Paleoproterozoic ancient crust. Mineral resource classification is an important step in mineral exploration and mining engineering. In this study, copper and molybdenum resources were classified using a combination of the Turning Bands Simulation (TBSIM) and the Concentration–Volume (C–V) fractal model based on the Conditional Coefficient of Variation (CCV) for Cu realizations in the Masjed Daghi porphyry deposit, NW Iran. In this research, 100 scenarios for the local variability of copper were correspondingly simulated using the TBSIM and the CCVs were calculated for each realization. Furthermore, various populations for these CCVs were distinguished using C–V fractal modeling. The C–V log–log plots indicate a multifractal nature that shows a ring structure for the "Measured", "Indicated", and "Inferred" classes in this deposit. Then, the results obtained using this hybrid method were compared with the CCV–Tonnage graphs. Finally, the results obtained using the geostatistical and fractal simulation showed that the marginal parts of this deposit constitute inferred resources and need more information from exploration boreholes. The Qulong porphyry copper deposit in Tibet is located in the Tethis–Himalaya metallogenic domain, one of the three major porphyry metallogenic domains in the world. At present, the mining area is mainly used for surface mining. The depth revealed by the drilling project is less than 2 km. The potential for deep resources is unknown. Based on an analysis of the geochemical characteristics of the primary halos around the No. 16 prospecting line, deep extension is discussed in this paper. Studies show that the metallogenic elements are Cu and Mo; the near-ore halo elements are Co, Au, Ag, and W; the supra-ore halo elements are Pb, Zn, Mn, and As; and the sub-ore halo elements are Sn and Bi. According to Gregorian's zoning index and the barycenter method, the primary halo zoning of the No. 16 exploration line from shallow to deep is Mn–P–Pb–Ni–Zn–V–As–Hg–Co–Au–Cu–W–Ag–Mo–Sb–Sr–Cd–Sn–Ti–Bi. This sequence has a distinct "reverse" zoning feature, indicating that there may be a blind ore body deep in the mine. The geochemical parameter evaluation index based on the element content contrast coefficient suggests that there may be a hidden ore body in the deep. The relative hydrothermal mineralization in the center position of the section may be located deep below the north side of borehole ZK1601-1 in the middle of the section. The ore body erosion parameter model shows that the bottom of the drilling engineering control is the middle tail of the ore body, and there is a certain amount of extension in the deep part. The ideal superimposed model of the primary halo reflects the ore body trend of the 16th line section. The ore body is inclined to the north as a whole; the ore fluid flows from the deep to the southern side of the north side, and the deep part of the northern side of the ore body has a downward trend. With the development of hyperspectral technology, it has become possible to classify alteration zones using hyperspectral data. Since various altered rocks are comprehensive manifestations of mineral assemblages, their spectra are highly similar, which greatly increases the difficulty of distinguishing among them. In this study, a Semi-Supervised Adversarial Autoencoder (SSAAE) was proposed to classify the alteration zones, using the drill core hyperspectral data collected from the Pulang porphyry copper deposit. The multiscale feature extractor was first integrated into the encoder to fully exploit and mine the latent feature representations of hyperspectral data, which were further transformed into discrete class vectors using a classifier. Second, the decoder reconstructed the original inputs with the latent and class vectors. Third, we imposed a categorical distribution on the discrete class vectors represented in the one-hot form using the adversarial regularization process and incorporated the supervised classification process into the network to better guide the network training using the limited labeled data. The comparison experiments on the synthetic dataset and measured hyperspectral dataset were conducted to quantitatively and qualitatively certify the effect of the proposed method. The results show that the SSAAE outperformed six other methods for classifying alteration zones. Moreover, we further displayed the delineated results of the SSAAE on the cross-section, in which the alteration zones were sensible from a geological point of view and had good spatial consistency with the occurrence of Cu, which further demonstrates that the SSAAE had good applicability for the classification of alteration zones. Shortwave infrared (SWIR) technology is characterized by high efficiency and convenience and is widely used in the mineral exploration of porphyry, epithermal, and skarn types. However, studies on the SWIR spectral features of porphyry tungsten deposits are still lacking. The Dahutang tungsten deposit has reached an ultra large scale, characterized by the porphyry type. Based on the SWIR spectral features of white mica and its petrographic, geochemical, and Raman spectral features, this paper discusses the use of shortwave infrared and Raman spectral features and major and trace element contents in white mica for exploration of the Shimensi mine in Dahutang. The results showed that the SWIR wavelength of the single-frequency Al-O-H absorption peak position (Pos2200) of white micas in ore-bearing intrusions were over 2209 nm; the Raman shift of aluminium atom bridge-bonds (Al, O (br)) were mainly located between 410 and 420 cm−1. The contents of Si, Fe, and Mg were relatively high; the contents of Al, Na, and K were low; and the variation of the Nb/Ta value reflected the magmatic evolution degree. The shift of Pos2200 of white mica showed a correlation with the Raman spectral features and contents of Si, Al, and other elements. This study shows that the SWIR spectral features of white mica were useful for further exploration of the Shimensi area in Dahutang and provided a potential tool for the exploration of porphyry tungsten deposits. Egypt's mineral resources are an effective means of raising the country's income. Consequently, searching for deep subsurface ore deposits is essential. In this study, we map the subsurface structure and the occurrence of related gold-ore mineralization deposits in ophiolitic-assemblage rocks around the Wadi El-Saqia area in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt. Our approach combines airborne geophysical data (aeromagnetic mapping) and geochemical analyses. We enhanced the aeromagnetic data and interpreted them using edge-detection methods, such as the first-order vertical derivative (FVD), the analytic signal (AS), the total horizontal derivative (THD), the tilt derivative (TD), the tilt angle (TA), the theta map, both grid and porphyry analyses from the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET), and Euler deconvolution (ED) techniques. Utilizing these methods, we located the main structural lineaments/contacts that control the distribution of hydrothermal alteration zones. In addition, our geochemical analyses use the mineral chemistry of pyroxene and plagioclase to describe their tectonic and magmatic evolution. The airborne geophysical results revealed that NW–SE, NE–SW, N–S, and E–W structural orientations are prevalent in the studied area, with depths ranging from less than 50 m to about 600 m. To validate the findings, we carried out geochemical sampling, which indicates that pyrite, galena, pyrrhotite, and electrum contain good percentages of gold (ranging from 0.01–0.09 wt%, 0.03–0.1 wt%, 0.12–0.14 wt%, and 53.55–55.01 wt%, respectively). In this study, we were thus able to find preferred locations for gold mineralization, which highlights the value of combining aeromagnetic and geochemical data for mineral exploration. Compositional features of a total of 1887 gold alluvial particles from six localities to the south of Loch Tay in central Scotland were interpreted to establish different types of source mineralization. Populations of gold particles from each locality were grouped according to alloy and inclusion signatures. Inclusion suites provided the primary discriminant with gold from Group 1 localities showing a narrow range of simple sulphide and sulphoarsenide inclusion species, whereas a wide range of minerals including molybdenite, bornite and various Bi and Te- bearing species were identified in gold from Group 2 localities. Whilst the range of Ag in alloys in all populations was similar, higher incidences of measurable Hg and Cu were detected in Group 1 and Group 2 gold samples respectively. The application of compositional templates of gold from other localities worldwide indicated that Group 1 gold is orogenic and Group 2 gold is a mixture of porphyry and epithermal origin; a result that is sympathetic to the spatial relationships of sample localities with local lithologies. This approach both provides an enhanced level of understanding of regional gold metallogeny where in situ sources remain undiscovered, and permits clearer targeting of deposit types during future exploration. Several large-scale porphyry copper deposits (PCDs) with high economic value have been excavated in the Duolong ore district, Tibet, China. However, the high altitudes and harsh conditions in this area make traditional exploration difficult. Hydrothermal alteration minerals related to PCDs with diagnostic spectral absorption features in the visible–near-infrared–shortwave-infrared ranges can be effectively identified by remote sensing imagery. Mainly based on hyperspectral imagery supplemented by multispectral imagery and geochemical element data, the Duolong ore district was selected to conduct data-driven PCD prospectivity modelling. A total of 11 known deposits and 17 evidential layers of multisource geoscience information related to Cu mineralization constitute the input datasets of the predictive models. A deep learning convolutional neural network (CNN) model was applied to mineral prospectivity mapping, and its applicability was tested by comparison to conventional machine learning models, such as support vector machine and random forest. CNN achieves the greatest classification performance with an accuracy of 0.956. This is the first trial in Duolong to conduct mineral prospectivity mapping combined with remote imagery and geochemistry based on deep learning methods. Four metallogenic prospective sites were delineated and verified through field reconnaissance, indicating that the application of deep learning-based methods in PCD prospecting proposed in this paper is feasible by utilizing geoscience big data such as remote sensing datasets and geochemical elements. The block caving mining method has become increasingly popular in the last two decades. Meanwhile, Indonesia has several potential ore bodies which have not yet determined suitable mining methods. The references to block caving mining projects worldwide and the potency of metal deposits in Indonesia were reviewed to determine the requirements of ore bodies suitable for mining using the transformed block caving method. This method can be applied on a blocky ore body with a thickness of 200–800 m, various rock mass strengths until 300 MPa, from low to high (from 0.3% Cu until more than 1.0% Cu), but of uniform grade and at a depth from 500 to 2200 m. The technical specifications for running block caving mines have been synthesized, including preparation methods, undercutting strategy, mine design, mining equipment and monitoring. Considering the requirements and the successful practice of the block caving project in the Grasberg Caving Complex as a role model, the Indonesian government should concentrate on the detailed exploration of porphyry deposits and feasibility studies on applying the method to the prospective ore bodies, i.e., Onto, Tambulilato, Tumpangpitu and Randu Kuning. Fluorite is a widespread mineral in porphyry and hydrothermal vein Mo-polymetallic deposits. Here, fluorite is utilised as a probe to trace the fluid source and reveal the fluid evolution process in the Chalukou giant Mo (Pb–Zn) deposit, Northeast China, which is characterised as early porphyry Mo and later vein-style Zn–Pb mineralisation. A detailed rare earth element (REE) and Sr–Nd isotope study of fluorite combined with Sr isotopes of sphalerite is conducted for the Chalukou deposit. The chondrite-normalised REE patterns of fluorites from molybdenite veins show light REE (LREE)-enriched patterns, with negative Eu anomalies (δEu = 0.60) and weakly negative Y anomalies (Y/Y* = 0.72). The fluorites associated with sphalerite veins exhibit rare earth element (REE)-flat patterns with negative Eu anomalies (δEu = 0.65 to 0.99) and positive Y anomalies (Y/Y* = 1.37 to 3.08). In addition, during the progression from Mo to Zn–Pb mineralisation, the total concentration of REEs decreases from 839 ppm to 53.7 ppm, and Y/Ho ratios increase from 22.1 to 92.5. These features may be explained by the different mobilities of REE complexes during fluid migration. The Eu anomalies are considered to be inherited from source fluids. All the initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios of fluorite and sphalerite are between those of ore-forming porphyries and wall rocks (rhyolite), with fluorite ratios ranging from 0.706942 to 0.707386 and sphalerite ratios varying from 0.705221 to 0.710417. The majority of εNd(t) values of fluorite varying from −6.4 to −3.6 are also located between the ratios exhibited by ore-forming porphyries and rhyolite, whereas three εNd(t) values of fluorites ranging from −0.26 to 0.36 are close to those of ore-forming porphyries. All the isotopic features indicate that the Sr-Nd isotope ratios of hydrothermal fluid are derived from porphyries and disturbed by fluid–rock reactions. Together with a two-stage Sr–Nd isotope mixing model, we suggest that different sources and fluid–rock interactions (syn-ore intrusions and strata) finally influence the Sr–Nd isotopes of the ore-forming fluids, which are recorded by the majority of fluorite and sphalerite. The Tuwu-Yandong porphyry Cu belt is located on the southern margin of the Dananhu island arc in eastern Tianshan, constituting the largest Cu metallogenic belt in Northwest China. Two episodes (~334 Ma and ~317 Ma) of porphyry Cu-Mo mineralization in the belt have been recognized, associated with Early and Late Carboniferous felsic intrusions, respectively. The Carboniferous intrusions, therefore, provide a unique opportunity to investigate tectono-magmatic-metallogenic evolution of the belt. New LA–ICP–MS zircon U–Pb dating indicates that the mineralization-related and post-mineralization intrusions (granodiorite porphyry, gabbro, and granite porphyry) were formed at 321.8 ± 3.1 Ma, 313.5 ± 1.2 Ma, and 309.8 ± 2.5 Ma, respectively. The zircon trace element shows that the granodiorite porphyry (Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios, avg. 129, median = 112, n = 15) was likely derived from a more oxidized (and hydrous) magma source than that of the gabbro (Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios, avg. 74, median = 40, n = 15) and granite porphyry (Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios, avg. 100, median = 91, n = 15), being favorable for porphyry copper mineralization. The granodiorite porphyry shows an adakitic affinity (e.g., high Sr/Y ratios and low Y contents) and has high εNd(t) (6.4–6.7), εHf(t) (11.4–14.3), and Mg# values (47.4–58.1) and low (87Sr/86Sr)i (0.703804–0.703953), suggesting that the melt was derived from partial melting of a subducted oceanic slab followed by mantle peridotite interaction. The gabbro exhibits higher Al2O3 (16.5–17.4 wt.%), Cr (107–172 ppm), and Ni (37–77 ppm) contents and εNd(t) (6.6–7.2), εHf(t) (11.6–15.9), and Mg # (53.3–59.9) values, while it has lower (87Sr/86Sr)i values (0.703681–0.703882) than the granodiorite porphyry, indicating a depleted mantle source. The granite porphyry exhibits an affinity with non-fractionated I-type granites and possesses higher SiO2 (71.1–72.0 wt.%) contents, lower but positive εNd(t) (4.8–5.2), εHf(t) (10.3–13.0), and Mg # (38.7–41.0) values, and higher (87Sr/86Sr)i (0.704544–0.704998) than the granodiorite porphyry and gabbro, together with young Nd and Hf model ages, suggesting that the parental magmas originated from the partial melting of a juvenile lower crust. The enrichment in LREEs and LILEs (e.g., Ba, U, K and Sr) and depletion in HFSEs (e.g., Nb, Ta, and Ti) indicate that these intrusive rocks formed in the subduction zone. With the integration of previous studies, it can be inferred that the northward flat subduction of the Kangguer ocean slab at ca. 335–315 Ma caused the formation of the adakites and associated porphyry Cu mineralization in the Tuwu-Yandong belt. After the prolonged flat subduction, slab rollback may have occurred at ca. 314–310 Ma, followed by a "quiet period" before the final closure of the ancient Tianshan Ocean along the Kangguer Fault in this belt. Demingding is a promising porphyry Mo-dominated deposit recently discovered in the eastern Gangdese metallogenic belt in Tibet, China. We present zircon U-Pb-Lu-Hf isotopic studies, as well as geochemical data of the late monzogranites and the prior rhyolites from the Demingding porphyry deposit to uncover their origin and geodynamic mechanism. Zircon U–Pb dating yielded precise crystallization ages of 17.3 ± 0.6 Ma (MSWD = 2.5) and 186.5 ± 3.0 Ma (MSWD = 2.0) for monzogranite and rhyolite, respectively. The monzogranite is characterized by high-K calc-alkaline, adakitic affinities, and positive zircon εHf(t) values (+0.9∼+5.6, avg.+3.1) with TDM2 (0.73–1.04 Ga), while the rhyolite has εHf(t) values of (+2.1∼+7.3, avg.+5.2) and TDM2 of (0.76–1.09 Ga) similar to the monzogranite. Our results suggest that the Demingding porphyry Mo (Cu) deposit is related to magma generated from the Neo-Tethyan oceanic subduction. The subsequent monzogranite porphyry was likely formed by the remelting of previously subduction-modified arc lithosphere, triggered by continental collision crustal thickening in Miocene. The lower positive εHf(t) values of monzogranites suggest minor inputs from the Mo-rich ancient crust, suggesting that Mo favors the silicate melt. Such magmatic events and special metallogenesis typify intracontinental processes and porphyry copper deposits, which are normally confined to oceanic subduction and Cu-dominated style, thereby making the continental setting and Mo-dominated style of Demingding exceptional and possibly unique. The Sungun Cu-Mo porphyry deposit forms part of the Ahar–Arasbaran Magmatic Belt (AAMB). Its host Miocene porphyry stock is quartz monzonitic in composition and is cut by intermediate dykes that post-date mineralization. These dykes contain pyroxene and enclaves of ambiguous origin. Dykes of microdiorite are observed within quartz diorite dykes, whereas later diorite dykes contain three different kinds of enclaves (diorite, quartz diorite and hornfels) of sizes between 1 and 10 cm. Enclaves consist of plagioclase, hornblende and biotite, with accessory sphene, quartz and apatite. Chlorite compositions in microdiorite are within the chamosite range, whereas they are within the clinochlore range in diorite enclaves. Microprobe analyses of pyroxene indicate an augitic composition (Fs13.38-22.79Wo29.1-33.57En48.53-56.61), consistent with an igneous origin. Hornblende of the diorite enclaves formed at pressures ranging between 3 and 5.3 kilobars and temperatures between 714 and 731 °C. Average oxygen fugacity during rock formation is −14.75. Such high oxygen fugacities suggest that the diorite formed near the boundaries of a convergent margin. Amphibole compositions suggest that the diorite enclaves are sub-alkaline to mildly alkaline, consistent with reported whole-rock chemistry of the Sungun magmas. Pyroxenes were formed at pressures ranging between 11 and 15 kilobars (33–45 km) and temperatures between 1100 and 1400 °C. The amount of Fe3+ in clinopyroxene is also consistent with high oxygen fugacity within their environment of crystallization. Overall, these results have implications for our understanding of the origin of the Sungun Cu-Mo porphyry magmas and their mineral deposits in a lower-crustal setting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The large Bayanbaolege Ag polymetallic ore deposit is located in the Tuquan-Linxi Fe (Sn)-Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Nb (Ta) polymetallic metallogenic belt, which is an important part of the Great Xing'an Range metallogenic province, northeast China. The sulfide–quartz vein-type orebodies in the deposit are mainly hosted in the Cretaceous granodiorite porphyry and Late Permian Linxi formation. The U-Pb dating of the zircon from the post-ore diorite porphyrite yields an age of 124.8 ± 1.1 Ma, which constrains the mineralization time at the Early Cretaceous. The Sr-Nd isotope values (87Sr/86Sr)i = 0.708576~0.710536; εNd (t) = −0.51~+0.69; the Hf isotope values 176Hf/177Hf = 0.2827278~0.2830095, the εHf (t) = +3.1~+11.2, TDM2 = 615~1341 Ma of the metallogenic granodiorite porphyry. The Hf isotope values 176Hf/177Hf = 0.2828596~0.2829451, and the εHf (t) = +5.7~+8.8 of the diorite porphyrite, TDM2 = 827~1108 Ma, indicating that the ore-forming materials were the possible involvement of heterogeneous juvenile sources including moderately depleted mantle and newly underplated lower crust. The major and trace elements (including REEs) implied that these intrusions are the I-type granite and linked intimately to the westward subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Ocean plate. From these whole-rock major and trace elements and zircon U-Pb ages, as well as Sr-Nd-Hf isotope data, we conclude that the ore-associated I-type granites in the Bayanbaolege deposit formed in an extensional tectonic setting of the Early Cretaceous, and are compactly related to the retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Ocean subducted plate linked intimately to the westward subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Ocean plate rather than the closure of the Mongol–Okhotsk Ocean. Furthermore, by integrating geological background work and previous research work, implying the mineralization age of the Bayanbaolege deposit should have been formed in the 125–130 Ma.
