This paper presents high quality YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) thin films on LaAlO3 substrate for microwave devices prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). The double-sided YBCO films cover a large area and have been optimized for key parameters relevant to microwave device applications, such as surface morphology and surface resistance (R s). This was achieved by improving target quality and increasing oxygen pressure during deposition, respectively. To evaluate the suitability of the YBCO films for microwave devices, a pair of microwave filters based on microstrip fabricated on films from this work and a commercial company were compared. The results show that the YBCO films in this work could completely meet the requirements for microwave devices.

Solving nonlinear partial differential equations have attracted intensive attention in the past few decades. In this paper, the Darboux transformation method is used to derive several positon and hybrid solutions for the (2+1)-dimensional complex modified Korteweg–de Vries equations. Based on the zero seed solution, the positon solution and the hybrid solutions of positon and soliton are constructed. The composition of positons is studied, showing that multi-positons of (2+1)-dimensional equations are decomposed into multi-solitons as well as the (1+1)-dimensions. Moreover, the interactions between positon and soliton are analyzed. In addition, the hybrid solutions of b-positon and breather are obtained using the plane wave seed solution, and their evolutions with time are discussed.

Anton; Zhang, Shuo; Zhao, Guang-Yao; Zhao, Shan-Shan.--This is an Open Access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits unrestricted reuse, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited., We present a framework for characterizing the spatiotemporal power spectrum of the variability expected from the horizon-scale emission structure around supermassive black holes, and we apply this framework to a library of general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) simulations and associated general relativistic ray-traced images relevant for Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) observations of Sgr A*. We find that the variability power spectrum is generically a red-noise process in both the temporal and spatial dimensions, with the peak in power occurring on the longest timescales and largest spatial scales. When both the time-averaged source structure and the spatially integrated light-curve variability are removed, the residual power spectrum exhibits a universal broken power-law behavior. On small spatial frequencies, the residual power spectrum rises as the square of the spatial frequency and is proportional to the variance in the centroid of emission. Beyond some peak in variability power, the residual power spectrum falls as that of the time-averaged source structure, which is similar across simulations; this behavior can be naturally explained if the variability arises from a multiplicative random field that has a steeper high-frequency power-law index than that of the time-averaged source structure. We briefly explore the ability of power spectral variability studies to constrain physical parameters relevant for the GRMHD simulations, which can be scaled to provide predictions for black holes in a range of systems in the optically thin regime. The dynamic structure factors reflecting the excitation spectra were investigated in a one-dimensional (1D) optical lattice with a spin-orbit coupling (SOC) effect. The results reveal that the single-particle excitations of both the density and spin dynamical structure factors are strongly reconstructed and split owing to the SOC effect, and a hat-like excitation band appears in the high-binding-energy region. The hat-like excitation band of the density dynamical structure factor exhibits an arc form, and has a pocket in the spin dynamical structure factor. In particular, only a gapless single-particle excitation point is left for both the density dynamical structure factor and the spin dynamical structure factor when the SOC strength reaches a critical point at half-filling. A stronger SOC strength causes the gapless excitation points to disappear, which indicates that the metal-insulator transition occurs. The metal-insulator transition only appears in half-filling and lightly doped regimes.

The image polarization is determined by effects including the orientation of the magnetic field in the emitting region, relativistic motion of the gas, strong gravitational lensing by the black hole, and parallel transport in the curved spacetime. We explore these effects using a simple model of an axisymmetric, equatorial accretion disk around a Schwarzschild black hole. By using an approximate expression for the null geodesics derived by Beloborodov and conservation of the Walker–Penrose constant, we provide analytic estimates for the image polarization. We test this model using currently favored general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations of M87*, using ring parameters given by the simulations. For a subset of these with modest Faraday effects, we show that the ring model broadly reproduces the polarimetric image morphology. Our model also predicts the polarization evolution for compact flaring regions, such as those observed from Sgr A* with GRAVITY. With suitably chosen parameters, our simple model can reproduce the EVPA pattern and relative polarized intensity in Event Horizon Telescope images of M87*. Under the physically motivated assumption that the magnetic field trails the fluid velocity, this comparison is consistent with the clockwise rotation inferred from total intensity images. © 2021 The Author(s). At present, the traditional ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm used by TOF (Time-Of-Flight) cameras has the problem of high time-consuming in nearest point search process, resulting in low data update rate. Therefore, based on the characteristics of the data structure of the ICP algorithm, a multi-stage pipeline acceleration system is proposed, and the point cloud registration algorithm used in this system is studied. Firstly, design multiple units to store point cloud data and serve as the main search module. Secondly, make each group of units perform parallel operations, input the stored point clouds into their respective calculation modules, select a model point, traverse all query points, and perform subtraction. Then replace the model point and repeat the process until all model points are calculated. Finally, the query point corresponding to the minimum value in each model point difference data is selected and the model point is output as a point pair to the CPU to complete the final algorithm iteration. The experimental results show that at 30000 points, a single closest point search takes 25.65ms; at 20000 points, a single closest point search takes 11.65ms; at 10000 points, a single closest point search takes 2.88ms. It basically meets the requirements of TOF camera on-orbit measurement for the stability and reliability of point cloud registration and high data update rate.

Anton; Zhao, Guangyao; Zhao, Shan-Shan; Zhu, Ziyan; Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration, The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration has recently produced the first resolved images of the central supermassive black hole in the giant elliptical galaxy M87. Here we report on tests of the consistency and accuracy of the general relativistic radiative transfer codes used within the collaboration to model M87∗ and Sgr A∗. We compare and evaluate (1) deflection angles for equatorial null geodesics in a Kerr spacetime; (2) images calculated from a series of simple, parameterized matter distributions in the Kerr metric using simplified emissivities and absorptivities; (3) for a subset of codes, images calculated from general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics simulations using different realistic synchrotron emissivities and absorptivities; (4) observables for the 2017 configuration of EHT, including visibility amplitudes and closure phases. The error in total flux is of order 1% when the codes are run with production numerical parameters. The dominant source of discrepancies for small camera distances is the location and detailed setup of the software "camera"that each code uses to produce synthetic images. We find that when numerical parameters are suitably chosen and the camera is sufficiently far away the images converge and that for given transfer coefficients, numerical uncertainties are unlikely to limit parameter estimation for the current generation of EHT observations. The purpose of this paper is to describe a verification and comparison of EHT radiative transfer codes. It is not to verify EHT models more generally. © 2020. The American Astronomical Society. The delayed choice gedanken-experiment initially proposed by J A Wheeler reveals the nontrivial features of wave–particle duality in quantum world, that is, the choice of whether to observe the particle/wave character of a quantum system at a delayed time can affect its evolution history. In this work, the Wheeler’s delayed-choice experiment is conducted and tested in a new regime based on a Rydberg-ground level atomic Mach–Zehnder interferometer with optical coherent manipulation. Our quantum system exhibits an excellent single-excitation of the collective atomic state due to the Rydberg blockade effect, and the delayed choice of the interferometer configuration is realized by a quantum random number generator based on high-quality Rydberg single-photon source. Our experimental results demonstrate the Wheeler’s nontrivial time order inversion in this quantum system and confirm the Copenhagen interpretation of the physical reality of quantum state, which means the particle/wave character can only be ascribed to a quantum system when it was measured. This work is encouraging toward testing the foundations of quantum mechanics using the Rydberg atoms.

With the development of power grid technology and the widespread application of gas insulator switchgear (GIS) equipment, the power supply reliability of the power system has been greatly improved, but the problem of partial discharge (PD) faults in GIS has always been prominent, seriously affecting the safe and stable operation of the power grid. How to quickly determine the type and cause of GIS discharge is the key to online PD detection. In this paper, in order to deal with the very complicated data processing of ultra-high frequency (UHF) PD, the time-consuming and low efficiency of manually judging the type of PD, a classification model of UHF PD system based on deep confidence network (DBN) is established and an automatic classification method for UHF PD based on improved DBN is proposed; the activation function Sigmoid is improved to effectively prevent the occurrence of the gradient disappearance problem; the optimized DBN parameters are used to train and classify data of different PD types. The classification accuracy rate of the test results reached 96.7%, realizing the rapid classification evaluation of UHF PD types.

Cooperative vehicle-infrastructure is one of the most import developing direction of future intelligent transportation system, while digital twin system can record, reproduce, and even deduce the physical system, which could be helpful for the development of cooperative vehicle-infrastructure. In this study, we proposed a 3D digital twin platform of intelligent transportation system based on road-side sensing, a core component of cooperative vehicle-infrastructure system. This platform consists of real road-side sensing unit,3D virtual environment, and the ROS bridge between them, by receiving the sensing results of physical world in real-time, the virtual world can reproduce the compatible road traffic information, such as the type,3D position and orientation of traffic participants.

To ensure the safety of power cables, temperature monitoring of power cables is critical. In view of the shortcomings of some optical fibre measurement products, a long-distance distributed optical fibre sensor is proposed, which has the advantages of high measurement sensitivity, fast response speed, low false alarm rate, large measurement length, and stable operation. The distributed optical fibre vibration sensing measurement equipment is used to monitor the vibration signals along the cable in real time, and the signal changes before and after the breakdown fault are visually displayed by the patio-temporal spectrum diagram, and the vibration signal of the breakdown point is analysed in time and frequency. The performance of the system was tested, and the experiment verified that the temperature measurement accuracy error range of the temperature measurement system is about ± 5 °C, and it has good stability. At the same time, the positioning accuracy is very high, and the fault point can be accurately located. This can avoid the occurrence of cable accidents.
