A one year old female rabbit was brought to the emergency and critical care unit of the Madras veterinary college teaching veterinary clinical complex with the history of abdominal straining and prolapse of the vagina. The owner also reported th a t the rabbit was with a male rabbit a day before and was involved in the act of copulation. On clinical examination the rabbit was found to be depressed, recumbent, increased respiratory rate and in was in a state of severe shock with cold extremities. Its mucous membrane was pale and cyanotic. The prolapsed vaginal mass was found to be viable, fresh, blood covered/hemorrhagic, swollen and edematous. Lignocaine jelly was applied liberally for lubrication and the prolapsed vaginal mass was carefully reposed manually by gentle digital pressure. The article describes a case of canine gastric adenocarcinoma and its surgical management in a 7-year old male dog. On presentation at the Madras Veterinary College, the dog was anemic, dehydrated and with a 6-month history of post-prandial vomiting. Positive contrast radiograph showed obstruction in the pyloric region. Gastrotomy was performed to remove the tumor including pyloromyotomy to dilate the lumen. No tumor recurrence was noted 6 months post operatively.

The article focuses on the study which examines the recurrence of bloat in a 3-year-old crossbred bullock in the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex of the Veterinary College and Research Institute in Orathanadu, India. The study involved clinical examination on the mucous membrane, paralumbarfossa, saliva and respiratory system of the bullock. Results show that the rumen liquor of the animal contains undigested feed materials and mature amphistomes.
