Canine Gastric Adenocarcinoma and its Surgical Management - Case Report.

The article describes a case of canine gastric adenocarcinoma and its surgical management in a 7-year old male dog. On presentation at the Madras Veterinary College, the dog was anemic, dehydrated and with a 6-month history of post-prandial vomiting. Positive contrast radiograph showed obstruction in the pyloric region. Gastrotomy was performed to remove the tumor including pyloromyotomy to dilate the lumen. No tumor recurrence was noted 6 months post operatively.
