This paper addresses to the issue of program organization and testing attempts to accept with 6 phases machines, a less researched field. According to the standards, several tests, in particular those of experimental definition of the parameters, it must be performed at a sinusoidal supply voltage, which imposes the need to develop and manufacture new test equipment, involving substantial costs. The paper argues for a way to perform tests that require sinusoidal voltage supply, by transforming the six-phase asynchronous machine (with an even number of three-phase systems) by simple procedures for reconnecting the phase windings, in a symmetrical three-phase. This allows tests to be performed in no-load operation, with load and short-circuit mode, using the standard equipment of three-phase electrical machine testing laboratories. This eliminates the need for new multiphase sinusoidal power supply equipment.

In this paper, different non-powered hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, or screwdrivers are assessed with respect to their ESD risk. The ESD properties of the tools are evaluated using resistance measurements and discharge current measurements between the tool and devices. Acceptance tests for non-powered hand-tools are proposed.

[EN] In recent years and after the strong impact of the last global health emergency (COVID-19) information and communication technologies have had a great impact on society but particular in the teaching-learning process. Education has been impacted at all its levels. Therefore, education models have been to be adapted to this new challenging paradigm by using different tools such as videoconferences, simulations, on-line interactive applications, virtual and remote laboratories, robots, etc. The objective of this work is to elaborate a systematic mapping to know what scientific from its beginning to 2020, identifying the most literature exists regarding simulators, remote and virtual laboratories focused on STEM/STEAM skills development in the educational context. To do so, bibliographical data gathered of four of the most popular and complete electronic databases (ACM, IEEE, Scopus and Web of Science). At the begging we selected 1232 articles after applying the acceptance criteria defined as part of the search and select strategy, we had 61 articles that help us to answer some questions like what are the most popular virtual and remote labs? or what are the current trends and issues of these tools? and the future ones?

Since the beginning of year 2020, SARS-CoV-2, better known as COVID-19 disease, has forced companies across the globe to come up with new digital ways to conduct business. As the world continues to adapt to changes that affect travel and movement, it was recognized the urgent need to design and deploy solutions that can keep business running while ensure the same level of accountability, trust and communication as ever. Among the different challenges faced in the last year, one of the major one was how to carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on a short time and without on-site customers allowed visiting the factory. This paper introduces a new, modular, and cheap way to perform FAT from remote for sustainable industrial processes and it provides a brief description of its implementation by means of only Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software easily available on the markets. Methods and strategies are presented, including useful insights for Navigational Aids (Navaids) business and possible future improvements and enhancements.

Traditional requirements engineering does not benefit from modern software development techniques. The goal of this tutorial is to revisit requirements elicitation and to bridge the gap between traditional requirements engineering and modern software development. This tutorial will provide the attendees with concrete and immediately applicable guidance by demonstrating how to operationalize a fully-fledged toolchain going from user stories to automated acceptance testing using open-source tools.

Effort estimation is an integral part of activities planning in Agile iterative development. An Agile team estimates the effort of a task based on the available information which is usually conveyed through documentation. However, as documentation has a lower priority in Agile, little is known about how documentation effort can be optimized while achieving accurate estimation. Hence, to help practitioners achieve just-enough documentation for effort estimation, we investigated the different types of documented information that practitioners considered useful for effort estimation. We conducted a survey study with 121 Agile practitioners across 25 countries. Our survey results showed that (1) despite the lower priority of documentation in Agile practices, 98% of the respondents considered documented information moderately to extremely important when estimating effort, (2) 73% of them reported that they would re-estimate a task when the documented information was changed, and (3) functional requirements, user stories, definition of done, UI wireframes, acceptance criteria, and task dependencies were ranked as the most useful types of documented information for effort estimation. Nevertheless, many respondents reported that these useful types of documented information were occasionally changing or missing. Based on our study results, we provide recommendations for agile practitioners on how effort estimation can be improved by focusing on just-enough documentation., To be published at International Conference on Software Maintenance and Evolution (ICSME) 2021

Untimely failures of Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation System (D2PGS) Transformers has been reported by various utility owners in spite of designing in accordance to the technical criteria and practices of the existing technical standards during the design phase and manufactured units passing the Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to corroborate the newly manufactured and packaged D2PGS transformers meet their intended purpose. These accentuate the need to perform comprehensive studies in relation to analyzing the effects of harmonic currents in D2PGS transformers, specifically on the winding Eddy losses and structural stray losses. The aforementioned is crucial in examining the capability of these transformers under the operational requirements of D2PGS. This work investigates the capability of an oil-filled D2PGS transformer in a harmonically contaminated Point of Common Coupling (PCC) of a grid-connected D2PGS. To accomplish this objective, the harmonic loss factor to account for additional winding Eddy losses of the transformer while in service owing to harmonic currents is evaluated. In addition, the effect of the skin effect on the winding conductors under harmonic conditions is considered. Finally, an improved harmonic loss Factor for winding Eddy losses is proposed. The investigated case scenario and results are then used to examine the capability of the transformer when supplying distorted load current for the purpose of existing and planned D2PGS development.

The exponential growth of technology creates opportunity for numerous sorts of application to be produced, and education is one of the sectors which significantly impacted by this technological advancement. As such, we can witness various kinds of mobile applications being developed for higher education recently. Therefore, it is important to produce an application which contributes to better degree of user satisfaction in higher education context. This study involved performing user acceptance test and measuring the users’ satisfaction using System Usability Scale (SUS) towards a graduation mobile application that runs on two platforms; web and mobile. A number of 45 participants involved in the assessments and the results disclose a significant correlation between the SUS scores and number of issues reported, where the application has agreeably met the users’ satisfaction by passing the acceptable marginal level with 73.7 score. Insights from this study offers a ground basis on measuring the user satisfaction where the individual item scores could also be analyzed in order to provide insight into the application’s possible problems and improvement.

In according to the widespread use of an asynchronous electric drive in transport, research is currently being carried out aimed at improving the dynamic and static performance of the drive. In addition, more and more attention is paid to reducing the level of vibration and acoustic noise, due to the fact that the traction electric drive units to the end customer, such as a traction converter, a geared motor unit, a top-level control unit, are supplied from different manufacturers, which requires a separate preliminary check and testing of operating modes. No less relevant is the issue of increasing the level of vibration when the GMB is powered from a voltage inverter with PWM. The purpose of this work is to perform experimental studies of the vibroactivity of the GMB, powered by a two-level voltage inverter at the stage of acceptance tests.

Regression testing is an essential software maintenance activity before the release of a new version implementing a bug fix or a new feature. A regression test selection (RTS) technique chooses a subset of existing test cases to ensure that the system will not be adversely affected by the latest modifications. With the rise of DevOps, behavior-driven development (BDD) is growing in popularity as it is in close alignment with agile practices, for example, continuous integration. Hence, it is necessary to propose a novel and effective RTS technique for BDD specifically to accelerate the development process while ensuring software quality. Since most existing techniques for RTS are code-based and thus subject to some limitations, we present a requirement-based technique which uses the requirements in BDD to select test cases in both high-level (acceptance testing) and low-level (unit testing). Our technique firstly illustrates the new requirement with a scenario, and subsequently computes the semantic similarity of the new scenario and all existing scenarios with the vector space model. According to the results, the modification-traversing regression test cases can be selected in a semi-automated way. We also conduct an experimental study to evaluate our technique in terms of inclusiveness, precision, efficiency and generality. The study shows that our technique is applicable for BDD and effective in practice.

The application of software quality assurance practices upon microservices architectures can be somehow challenging, mainly caused by the high granularity with low coupling of its software components. Since this granularity is not visible to the end user, it is difficult to assess the whole system behaviour. This paper proposes the use of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) technique on software development based on microservices architecture, by building test scenarios written by non-technical users and developing automated tests on API REST services layer, enabling the ability to match system results to end-user needs. Using a real scenario of a pay roll system, the applicability of the Behave BDD tool was assessed for acceptance tests automation.

When performing functional tests or stress or runtime tests of embedded systems, a large amount of data is collected. The tests are partly performed by developers and system integrators in suitable test environments, but also in acceptance tests or field trials. These test runs have usually been evaluated, albeit not comprehensively, by testers and/or customers, and can thus serve as a reference for further tests. In a research project, we are training neural networks using this data, with the goal of generating and executing new tests. In addition, they are used to identify patterns in the signal runs, which in turn enable us to perform a more thorough automated evaluation of the huge test data. In doing so, we take 2 approaches. On the one hand, we look at the test runs as time series of signal values, the input and output values over time steps during the test runs. On the other hand, we look at sliding time windows over these runs, similar to oscilloscope images, and analyze these signal images. We show how such an extension can be systematically integrated into a development process.

Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT) or commonly known as Process Control Monitoring (PCM) includes numerous testing items that have many important applications, such as yield improvement and production cost control. The prediction of wafer yield based on WAT parameters has been successfully employed to reduce production costs spent on the circuit probing process. However, the relationship between WAT and subsequent diagnosis reports has not been sufficiently explored yet. This paper proposes a learning-based framework for failure prediction at cell level from WAT data, including various techniques for feature selection and handling imbalanced classes. Based on the selected parameters, machine learning models are employed to predict the failure of a given cell. The potential of the proposed methodology is evaluated over a set of industrial data. Experimental results demonstrate that our methodology can provide accurate test predictions (0.95+ accuracy, F1-score, and Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (AUCROC)).

PlayerUnknown's Battleground (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and released by PUBG Corporation. It currently has the highest prize pool for its international tournament, known as The PUBG Global Championship. Due to the considerable numbers of weapons, each of the weapons has different capabilities. New PUBG players may have difficulties selecting a suitable weapon to beat another weapon while playing the game. This research aims to develop a prediction system using fuzzy logic to provide a guideline for choosing the right weapon for this game. The system has undergone user acceptance testing to ensure its effectiveness and reliability. Based on user acceptance testing analysis, the system is found to be useful and efficient for use. In conclusion, the system can help PUBG players select a suitable weapon to beat their opponents while playing the game. It also helps to avoid problems encountered by those who do not know how to select a suitable weapon properly.

This paper presents a first investigation to join agile blockchain-oriented software development principles with sustainability software design principles. The development of blockchain-oriented software should always be performed in the awareness of the potential effects generated from its use, especially in a long-term life cycle perspective. In other terms in the awareness of its present and future sustainability. By using the principles of sustainability software design and recognized the role of blockchain-oriented Agile methodologies to manage changes in technology and requirements, we present a new Agile method for the development of blockchain-oriented systems that includes sustainability awareness practices within the development phases, in particular in the requirements and the acceptance tests. This allows to deal with blockchain-oriented systems sustainability immediately and during the incremental and iterative development process. The paper describes the process in its phases and provides an example of an application to the supply chain sector.

The aim of this study is developing a serious game as instructional multimedia to teach inequality of natural numbers for 1st grade of elementary school. The instructional design of this study was using Four-D (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate) research and development by Sivasailam Thiagarajan. The instructional multimedia test done by instructional media expert. The User Acceptance Test involving five first year students of elementary school. The result of this study were: (1) The assessment score of instructional media expert was 25 which is in an excellent criteria (above 23.3), (2) Based on User Acceptance Test, students felt engage with the instructional multimedia and they interested in inequality of natural numbers concept. Those results showed that Delta’s Adventure game was effectively used for learning of inequality of natural numbers of the 1st grade elementary school.

This paper evaluates the use of Autodesk Tinkercad and Google Classroom as online virtual laboratory platforms due to the rise of Covid-19 infection rate in Indonesia. This research limited the laboratory activities to Digital Logic Laboratory and focused on how to give the students equivalent experiences to in-person laboratory activities. The research used a questionnaire based on Acceptance Testing to explore students’ perception of three categories: platforms utilization, relevancy to the course contents, and user interface/user experience of the platforms. The survey results show that the platforms can provide similar experiences as conventional laboratory activities indicated by the median score of four ("Agree") for all the questions and average mean score 4.01.

This study proposes Fuzzy Multi-Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods in developing a decision support system for selecting a laptop vendor. The problem faced is whether the FMADM process with SAW is a right and appropriate method to support selecting the best laptop vendors from existing candidates, and who is the best laptop vendor from the alternatives. So research is needed to help management determine the right method in choosing the best laptop vendor. Another study concluded that the Fuzzy Logic method is very flexible, can create a nonlinear function model which level is very complex. FMADM is one of a method in DSS to find the best alternative from many alternative candidates with certain criteria. While the SAW method is used to find optimal alternatives with specific criteria through a weighted sum of each alternative's performance ratings, the criteria could be found in qualitative or quantitative, and some are still fuzzy. Therefore, the FMADM method with SAW was declared appropriate and right in this research. The result of this study is an application of decision support systems, and who is the best laptop vendor candidate to be chosen by management. From the User Acceptance Test (UAT) results, it can be concluded that the user strongly agrees with the decision support system application and the application of this method.

Development of large-scale and complex software systems requires multiple teams, including software development teams, domain experts, user representatives, and other project stakeholders, to work collaboratively to achieve software development goals. These teams rely on the use of agreed software development processes, knowledge management tools, and communication channels collaboratively in the software development project. Software testing is an important and complicated process due to reasons such as difficulties in achieving testing goals with the given time constraint, absence of efficient data sharing policies, vague testing acceptance criteria at various levels of testing, and lack of trusted coordination among the teams involved in software testing. The efficiency of the software testing relies on efficient, reliable, and trusted information sharing among these teams. Existing approaches to software testing for collaborative software development use centralized or decentralize tools for software testing, knowledge management, and communication channels. Existing approaches have the limitations of centralized authority, a single point of failure/compromise, lack of automatic requirement compliance checking and transparency in information sharing, and lack of unified data sharing policy, and reliable knowledge management repositories for sharing and storing past software testing artifacts and data. In this paper, a software testing approach for collaborative software development using private blockchain is presented, and the desirable properties of private blockchain, such as distributed data management, tamper-resistance, auditability and automatic requirement compliance checking, are incorporated to greatly improve the quality of software testing for collaborative software development.

Business technological advancement facilitates human activities through online shopping. The number of online shops in the marketplace offers many kinds of products with attractive marketing strategies; thus, the customers are confused with the product comprising. Therefore, this research tries to provide an optimal online shop recommendation as an alternative solution. The Decision Support System (DSS) approach on management model applied Multi-Objective Optimization on the Base of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) for the analytical calculation by considering several criteria, including price, rating, discount, a product sold, and response chat. It reveals the ranking of fifty online shops in the marketplace as the maximum alternatives' product recommendations. Thus, the customers will be smartly guided to choose the high-quality product at the greatness services of an online shop. The mechanism of DSS based on MOORA was applied through the construction of a prototype system, namely DSS-MyProduct. DSS-MyProduct suggests the buyers with optimal products and the greatest online shop choice for shopping. The application has been tested by using Blackbox and User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing, which indicated that the application could perform the functions and operational procedures appropriately. 83.4% of users agreed that this DSS-MyProduct aids them in deciding on the optimal choice preferred in shopping. The comparison of user manual selection and system calculation shows a positive outcome on the accuracy of the system. Hence, this application can be used by the marketplace as a smart recommendation tool for product selection.

The presence of e-commerce support SMEs to promote and market their products online be able to compete on a global scale. However, the perpetrators of SMEs still do conventional promotion and marketing. The use of e-commerce technology is low as a media promotion and market place result SME has not been able to reach a global scale and profit only get by a conventional sell. To facilitate SMEs in order to promote and market products online, so it needs to be made a prototype e-commerce portal as a place for the perpetrators of SMEs. Business process analysis does by functional analysis method. Analysis of functional then designed a business development model based on business model innovation by adopting SMEs. Designing a prototype using UML, then do the testing of User Acceptance Test (UAT) for the prototype that all respondents agreed that the e-commerce portal prototype has been built in accordance with the requirement of the end-user and the quality of the prototypes had good criteria with a percentage of 83.86%. The result of this research is a prototype e-commerce portal as a platform for SMEs to promote and market their products and make it easier to get information for the advancement of SMEs in the form of news from relevant agencies distributed in the e-commerce portal.

With the increasing application scale of distribution network cable in China, its safe and stable operation is of great significance to ensure the reliability of power supply and customer satisfaction. However, at present, the relevant research at home and abroad focuses on the detection and evaluation technology of distribution cable status, and has not achieved breakthrough results for the improvement of intrinsic safety of equipment quality. Combined with the sorting of key points of quality control in the whole process of distribution network cable equipment, this paper carries out systematic research on cable equipment material and structural performance, operation performance evaluation and quality information interaction evaluation in the process of defect investigation, sampling inspection, acceptance test and operation, so as to provide ideas for cable life-cycle quality management and interactive evaluation.

Recent market trends towards power generation in remote renewable power plants such as concentrated solar power plants in desserts or off-shore wind parks, the economic interests for long distance power transmission as well as the negative public perception of overhead lines lead to an increasing attractiveness of power transmission via HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) cables. This technology is not only space saving but also reaches at a certain distance economic benefits compared to HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current) transmission when it comes to installation cost and transmission losses. However, HVDC cables require a) quality assurance as verification/validation of product developments and their market introduction, ongoing tests for confirmation of proper manufacturing, installation and commissioning and b) ageing monitoring respectively a quick fault location detection during their service life. The quality acceptance tests are standardized (e.g. according IEC, IEEE) with mostly fixed limits at repetitive, comparable conditions whereas diagnostic onsite tests allow more interpretation and application of experiences according individual boundary conditions but also some room for the risk management of the grid operator. Typical testing aspects on cables cover:•HVDC withstand tests•Partial discharge (PD) measurements•Quick, precise fault localization with limited harm on defect for the following root cause analysisEven though HVDC power transmission is applied in market since 1950s, the dielectric testing of extruded HVDC cables in the factory and on site is still challenging considering the increasing voltage levels, increasing cable lengths and earth or even offshore installation. The (long-term) validation of insulation coordination requires high voltages for quality assurance tests which represent typical expectable stresses during service life like transient wave shape, partial discharge behavior and dielectric field stress in the insulation medium. This contribution will discuss some of the latest technical solutions to generate the required testing voltages for HVDC cables to comply with current standards. Considering the above mentioned facts, important aspects will be shown to explain economical, physical and technical challenges of dielectric testing of extruded HVDC cables during their entire life time.

In projects with requirements-related troubles the reason is often plainly that too little effort has been spent on requirements engineering (RE). Our varied industrial experience repeatedly showed, however, that even in projects with plenty of RE-budget and -efforts spent numerous problems are often found during acceptance testing that can still be traced back to incomplete or even missing requirements. How is that possible? After observing this repeatedly throughout more than eight years of industrial experience we performed a careful, in-depth qualitative analysis on the underlying root causes that lead us to the hypothesis we present in this paper: requirements engineers often tacitly lay a strong focus on one particular perspective in textbased requirements documentation, while the others typically remain un- or underspecified. Thus, incompleteness arises. In this paper we summarise our observations and present a solution idea that more explicitly considers the different perspectives during the RE process. This can significantly increase requirements completeness, lead to an improved overall balancing of RE efforts and, hence, also lead to higher chances for project success.

In this paper, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT) and Chip Probing (CP) were performed to evaluate the etch process.

In this work, we address the following question: "Which acceptance testing techniques are being used for representing business requirements of smart contracts?" To answer this question we performed a systematic mapping to determine whether acceptance tests for smart contracts and blockchain are being utilized to represent requirements and which acceptance testing techniques are being applied. This systematic mapping shows that, in fact, acceptance testing techniques are still not commonly used to represent the business requirements of smart contracts. We only found two studies using acceptance testing techniques with smart contracts. Moreover, only one of them uses an acceptance testing technique, the BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) notation, to represent the business requirements. In order to confirm that it is possible to represent business requirements of smart contracts, we developed an example that uses the BDD notation to represent requirements of a smart contract deployed in the Hyperledger blockchain. Preliminary results show that it is possible to use acceptance tests to represent business requirements.

Implementing energy-efficient optical transceiver modules with silicon photonics (SiPh) and 3DIC technologies will help alleviate the increasing energy consumption for hyperscale data centers. To facilitate effective 3DIC heterogenous integration of these photonics integrated circuits for optical transceivers, high precision, repeatable and reliable SiPh wafer acceptance tests are essential and vital. This paper successfully demonstrated incident angle optimization for optical wafer tests as well as evaluation of a fully automatic SiPh wafer test architecture that is accurate and dependable, achieving excellent test correlations between passive and active devices designed with grating-couplers and edge couplers.

Chip resistors are a type of resistor among passive components; they are mainly used to regulate the voltage and current in electronic products. A single electronic product may be embedded with dozens of or even more than a thousand thin-film chip resistors varying in resistance. Thin-film chip resistors have low temperature coefficients, which makes them stable and reliable. They have five primary nominal-the-best (NTB) quality characteristics: length, width, height, upper width, and lower width. To increase the quality of thin-film chip resistors and prevent losses from customers returning low-quality or defected products, this study proposes a quality capability assessment method. The proposed method takes sampling errors into account and includes acceptance criteria for individual quality characteristics and the total quality capability. If either of the criteria is not fulfilled, then the manufacturer must improve quality capabilities. A case study of a manufacturer in central Taiwan is presented to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method. Finally, conclusions and recommendations for future work are presented.

Precision requirement increment for machine parts is one of the results of modern mechanical engineering development. It causes intermediate control and Acceptance test complication to allow crap rate decrement. This problem may be solved by means of multiple measurements with optimization of its number. Traditional Student coefficient method usage causes uncertainty. Consecutive analysis with non-dimensional criteria of process stability is suggested to solve the problem. This method allows choosing minimal necessary number of measurement depending on the technological process characteristic. Because of easy mathematical realization such an algorithm may be used for measurement automation and its usage allows to optimize measurement numbers and to lower manufacturing time for machine parts.

High-voltage circuit breakers (HVCB), as well as power transformers, as a part of substations, undergo numerous tests during their lifetime. The first test is performed in the factory. The following is the acceptance test performed at a customer site after the delivery. The most numerous are maintenance tests performed during equipment services. All the mentioned tests require an appropriate connection between a test device and a test object, usually utilizing a large number of cables. This can be very time consuming and imposes an additional risk of obtaining appropriate measurement and assessment indices. This paper presents the potential of the wiring replacement by the wireless connection between the test object and test equipment, which would simplify, improve make the test preparation procedure and packing test equipment more convenient and faster.

This paper describes the first known attempt of implementing full-field photogrammetry during the acceptance test of critical flight hardware the size ( $\mathrm{D}=4.4 \mathrm{m}$ ) of the Mars 2020 heatshield carrier structure. Mars 2020, NASA's next science mission to Mars, uses a similar entry vehicle as the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL). In fact, the intention was that Mars 2020 would use the spare MSL heat shield (HS) structure. Unfortunately, the spare HS failed during proof-loading. The redesigned heat shield was proof loaded using a simpler load application method that enabled the use of photogrammetric measurements to be made on the entire outer mold line of the HS structure. In essence, full-field photogrammetry was used as real-time inspection technique during loading to guard against failure. Examples of how the real-time results were used to assess the health of the hardware as well as test/analysis correlation at critical load-holds are presented. Finally, advantages and limitations of the full-field measurement technique as applied to flight hardware acceptance tests are discussed.

The fundamental of software development was Test-Driven Development but the individual tests must be carried out previously the production code. To research, the consequence of test-driven development on product code quality and developer productivity was the destination of this paper. TDD can affect advance software products’ quality, also mend programmers’ productivity. TDD undertook to help the delivery of high-quality products, both operational (fewer bugs) and technical perspective (cleaner code) while improving developers’ productivity. TDD affects to less defects and fewer debugging period which correct code can be certified by writing tests first and thus serving the developer get a finer understanding of the software requirements.

After the acceptance criteria been defined between distributed feedback (DFB) laser chip manufacturer and laser module assembly house, there is a need of reliable tool for quality engineers to carry out the acceptance sampling plan. There are variations of DFB lasers with different wavelength, power, threshold, operating temperature requirement etc. To make acceptance sampling reliable for semiconductor laser chip producer who need to control the specificity and for laser module assembly factories who need to control the sensitivity, a classifier with on-device training capability is needed. In this paper, an embedded automated distributed feedback (DFB) lasers chip defect classifier based on successive subspace learning (SSL) is developed for such application to classify active, surface, edge and coating defects generated by manufacturing processes. The designed classifier was verified with accuracy=97.43%, precision=96.80%, sensitivity=91.32%, specificity=97.66% and F1 score=0.968.

Orthogonal arrays are a powerful tool in quality and statistics. This paper shows new applications for improving testing effectiveness and efficiency in a multi-parameter environment, which is commonly encountered in today's software and systems. Unique aspects of this paper are applications in diverse areas - telecommunications, defense, automotive, information technology, and financial systems. Software and system testing cost the commercial and defense industry hundreds of millions of dollars annually. In addition, conducting each set of tests takes multiple man-months, delaying time to market of key technologies. In this current economic environment, organizations are looking for ways to reduce the cost of testing and time to market while ensuring that defects are not passed on to the customer. At the same time, the organizations are very reluctant to change their standard testing processes due to the heavy cost of field failures, regulatory concerns, and risk-averse culture. This paper describes a comparative study undertaken to assess the benefits of using Orthogonal Arrays (OA) for generating test plans in IT systems in the Financial Services industry. The formal process used for the comparative study consisted of enlisting the support of senior management and conducting multiple side-by-side pilots to compare the cost and risk of OA based testing versus the Business as Usual (BAU) testing practices. Our customers ran 20 side-by-side studies to evaluate the effectiveness of OA based testing and realized an average reduction in total test effort by 41%. In addition, all defects detected by the BAU process were detected by the OA based testing process. Further, in 40% of the cases, the OA based testing process found more defects and in the remaining 60% of the cases, BAU and Orthogonal Arrays found the same defects. The cost and schedule savings translated to tens of millions of dollars in labor and schedule.

This case study discusses a situation where both the government and contractor are working towards an acceptance protocol that would increase production throughput while properly balancing risk between the two parties. There are multiple competing risk factors in this instance: the risk to the Warfighter risk of accepting underperforming weapons (consumer’s risk), the risk of turning away quality weapons (producer’s risk), and the risk associated with reduced throughput and not meeting weapon fleet requirements.

In a variety of software development methods and their models of the activity process, no one does not have testing activities in their application. System testing is the last phase of testing that done by the developer in the internal work- space. However, phase of testing is not the end of the whole testing phase, since there is another stage to pass before the product deployment process, it is the acceptance testing. A popular method to perform the user acceptance testing is the usability testing, which in this method, the result provides the indication of the essential quality for the client to decide whether to approve or to deny the product. In this research of paper, we are going to do the usability testing by utilizing the System Usability Scale technique and the Net Promoter Score technique to measure appropriateness of the population information systems in the city of Tegal while we are also finding optimum testers required using the sampling technique. The result we earn trough this research is according to the Usability Testing result the proposed system developed by researchers is better than the current running system and the total testers participating on system testing is able to optimize using the sampling method.

The ability of students to work in groups to solve a problem or complete a task is important. However, current method of forming a group for projects is based on convenience. This self-selection grouping method could result in an imbalance knowledge, skills and personality. Grouping the students based on criteria manually is tedious and time consuming. This paper presents the design of a system that could automatically group the students based on the student’s personality, skills and academic performance. This is to ensure a group will consists of students with diverse skills, personality and academic performance thus establishing a well-balanced student group in the class throughout the semester. The results of the user acceptance test have indicated that the system is easy to use. The lecturers are considering using the system in their class as they perceived the system to be effective and useful in grouping the students based on the determined criteria. The students perceived that the system is easy to use and useful but have mixed responses in using the system in actual settings.

Simulation load equipment of aerospace electromechanical servo system is a simulation load equipment of acceptance test and verification electromechanical servo system. Load equipment simulates load and inertia and hinge moment by adding inertia block and spring plate which is driven by repeated torsion motion, so that the spring plate has the risk of fatigue fracture. The time node of fatigue damage of spring steel plate is given based on the fatigue life loading model and finite element life simulation analysis, which provides the theoretical basis for the actual use of simulated load and the basis for the design of simulated load of electromechanical servo system. According to the fatigue damage time of spring steel plate calculated in the paper, replace new spring steel plate to prevent casualties and damage of personnel and equipment.

The field of e-commerce is currently on the rise, but it has not been able to be enjoyed by the majority of SME tailors and confection in Indonesia. On the contrary, fashion is one of the most purchased items via e-commerce. Inability of SME human resources to adopt e-commerce makes ordering erratic and causes their living far from prosperity. Customers also feel some dilemma when buying clothing online, for example, the items purchased are not as good those at picture gallery. Another problem the customer is often confusion in determining the tailor or confection when making clothing directly. Doing it in the city is expensive, whereas doing it in the village leading to poor quality. To overcome this, the need to develop a system of e-marketplace specifically for SMEs of tailor and confection. The development of this system is based on the analysis of problems and needs. This analysis is obtained by directly interviewing the twenty-four SMEs tailors and confection. The developed system has been tested using functional testing and UAT (User Acceptance Test).

In the past few years, there has been observed explosive growth in the development of Mobile Applications across Android and iOS operating system which has led to the direct impact towards mobile app development. In order to design and propose quality-oriented apps, it is the primary responsibility of the developers to devote time and sufficient efforts towards testing to make the Apps bug free and operational in the hands of end users without any hiccup. In order to test the mobile apps, manual testing procedures takes prolonged amount of time in writing test cases and even the full testing requirements are not met. In addition to this, lack of sufficient knowledge by the tester also impacts overall quality and assurance that app is bug free. To overcome all the issues of testing, and to assure that apps designed by developers are almost bug free, we propose a new testing methodology cum tool “AgileUATM” which works primarily towards white-box and black-box testing. With this tool, all the test cases are generated automatically based on user stories and acceptance criteria by using formal specification and Z3 SMT solvers. To test the validity of the proposed tool, we applied the tool in real-time operational environment with regard to test Mobile apps. Using this tool, all the acceptance criteria is determined via user stories. The testers/developers specify requirements with formal specifications based on programs properties, predicates, invariants, and constraints. From the results, it is observed that the proposed tool i.e. AgileUATM generated effective and accurate test cases, test input, and expected output was generated in a unified fashion from the user stories to meet acceptance criteria. In addition to this, the tool also reduced the development time to identify test data as compared to manual Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies. With this tool, the developers got better idea with regard to required tests and able to translate the customers natural languages to the computer language as well.

In this day and age, mobile phones and applications play a role in every person’s life every day. The power of technology can be enhanced can be seen in different ways, and this can also be addressed to mental health. The number of young people with anxiety, depression or stress (ADS) has risen over the past few years. This study is about the development of a mobile application, called SmileTeq. This system serves as a directory for support where information is provided to assist students and teenagers, who are diagnosed with ADS, and give recommendations on how to overcome or relieve it. Recommendations on the mobile app includes places that specialize in mental illnesses to get help, and support groups contact details. There are various activities to engage that are arranged by their doctors or by their co-users. After getting user acceptance testing of the mobile app from students with ADS, it resulted to positive results.

Thermal performance of oil-immersed power transformer requires comprehensive solutions for the complex conjugate thermal-hydraulic problem which determines the thermal behavior of the oil and winding set. However, development of a thermal model without consideration of test procedures and limitations can led to inaccurate results during factory acceptance test (FAT). In the current study, we present improvements in modelling and testing based on an effective data exchange between both. Accurate loss calculation in transformer components and better investigation of oil behavior as well as development of more reliable rules to analyze heat-run results with consideration of new effective factors lead to a more accurate calculation of the thermal characteristics. This will increase the level of certainty in meeting the specified temperature rises during FAT, and therefore, accurate prediction of the transformer lifetime. Furthermore, minimum deviation between calculated and measured temperatures will allow optimization of the cooling system resulting in a more economical transformer design.

For the stability and reliability of the electricity system, the diagnostic tests of high-voltage equipment are of utmost importance. Partial discharges often precede major failures, which can be prevented by detecting and locating these discharges in time. While standardized methods are used for the detection of partial discharges, there are no generally used techniques for the approximation of their spatial position, despite the potential economic benefits of using such methods. This paper focuses on the comparison of iterative and non-iterative location approximation algorithms that process the captured emitted electromagnetic pulses of the discharges. The aim of the research is to find the most suitable location approximation method for a measuring and signal processing system that could be applied during the factory acceptance tests of high voltage equipment.

XYZ Mart is a business entity in the retail sector that has problems in the lack of information about the supply of goods, namely goods not classified based on the intensity of their sales. Then we need a system that can help the store to monitor the flow of goods movements directly when the transaction is carried out and the results can be reported to the user. The methodology is one of the things that is needed especially to help complete a software project in the construction of the XYZ Mart monitoring system, researchers apply the Agile Scrum method which is a flexible framework and always prioritizes the importance of team collaboration in the process. the implementation of the Agile Scrum method, various stages are carried out, starting from forming a team, determining the subject matter, planning the sprint, to executing the sprint which is the main activity in Scrum. Sprint execution, researchers use metrics to review activities during the sprint. The results of the system built using the Agile Scrum method were tested together with the XYZ Mart as the product owner using a User Acceptance Test and a system that was built successfully and received a good response by users assessed by the Likert Scale.

The first formal regulations for assessment and seismic rehabilitation of structures started in 1980's, with the implementation of the results of developed research, and efforts conducted by organizations such as the Applied Technology Council (ATC), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), among others; which have compiled different methodologies for evaluation and rational design of structures subjected to seismic loads. In our country, the Structural Design Code for the Republic of Panama, in its last version (REP-2014) incorporates for the first time design methodologies based on performance, as an alternative lateral force method; and refers to the document An Alternative Procedure for Seismic Analysis and Design of Tall Buildings located in the Los Angeles region. This article specifically presents the nonlinear static procedures for structural performance evaluation of buildings. Nonlinear modelling to generate the seismic capacity curve for a building (pushover curve) will also be described. Similarly, seismic demand characterization by inelastic acceleration spectra for different earthquake levels will be presented. Another important aspect to be studied is the global structural response of lateral displacements, as well as the local response in terms inelastic rotations of the elements. By applying this methodology the engineer can verify whether the structural response (i.e., exhibited damage) satisfies the acceptance criteria established by design codes.
