A lot of problems appear because that there are many differences between traditional welding process and industrial robot welding process, such as type selection of industrial robots, welding power configuration, and welding parameter adjustment, etc. On the basis of analyzing links in welding services of industrial robots, a platform of networked service in industrial robot welding was designed in this paper including its architecture structure, function structure, and database. The welding services and technical supports of industrial robots could be provided through this platform, such as type selection of industrial robots, welding power configuration, and welding parameter adjustment, etc. The results showed that the difficulty of industrial robot welding application was reduced by using this platform. And the quality of industrial robot welding was improved.
