This article explores the potential benefits of using ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) as a treatment for drug-induced liver disease (DILI). DILI is a common adverse reaction to drugs that can lead to liver dysfunction and serious complications. UDCA has been used as a supportive drug in cholestatic DILI, but there is growing evidence suggesting its effectiveness in other forms of DILI as well. While there is limited research and international recommendations on the use of UDCA, case studies have shown promising results.
