To detect the role of DCP1a in gastric cancer. To estimate the effect of DCP1a in gastric cancer cells on proliferation, invasion, migration and anti-drug behavior in vitro by down-regulating its expression.Using IHC staining and Western blot to check the expression of DCP1a in tissues and the cell lines. SGC7901 and BGC823 cells were transfected with DCP1a siRNA, and the expression of DCP1a protein and mRNA were detected. The cell proliferation rate was detected by MTT assay and plate cloning assay. Transwell assay was used to detect the change of cell metastasis. The inhibition rates of cells to chemotherapy were detected by MTT assay. And signal pathways were also detected.The expression of DCP1a in cancer tissues is higher (p 0.05), and higher expression of DCP1a is related to poor prognosis. After down-regulating the expression of DCP1a in cells, the proliferation rates, migration abilities and chemotherapy resistance decrease. We find that the expression of MRP-1 and the activation of AKT and STAT3 pathways might be involved in regulation.The high expression of DCP1a might be associated with cancer development and prognosis. Down-regulating the expression of DCP1a will help to reduce chemotherapy resistance, which will help with further improvement of chemotherapy in gastric cancer.

The shuttle effect causing by the dissolution of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) and sluggish redox reaction kinetics during the charge/discharge processes significantly reduce the cycle life and sulfur utilization in lithium-sulfur (Li–S) batteries. Herein, Mo2C–C nano-octahedrons (Mo2C–C NOs) with Mo2C nanoparticles embedded in a three-dimensional porous carbon matrix have been prepared via a metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) assisted strategy, and used as the sulfur host for Li–S batteries. The Mo2C–C NOs@S cathode demonstrates a high initial specific capacity of 1396 and 1050 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C and 1 C, respectively, with an ultra-low average specific capacity decay rate of 0.0457% per cycle within 600 cycles at 1 C. Moreover, Mo2C–C NOs@S cathode with high areal sulfur loading of 4.2 mgS cm−2 can deliver a high initial discharge specific capacity of 807 mAh g−1, and a capacity of 623 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles at 0.5 C. The existence of Mo2C nanoparticles can not only immobilize LiPSs via the formation of Mo–S bond, but also electrocatalytically accelerate the redox kinetics towards LiPSs conversion. Meanwhile, the interconnected porous carbon matrices contributes to effective sulfur/electrolyte infiltration, fast electron/Li+ ion transportation and sufficient buffer for volume change.

Background Primary gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)-mimicking gynecologic masses are easily misdiagnosed. This study aimed to investigate the clinicopathological features, management, and prognosis of primary GIST mimicking as gynecologic mass. Methods Clinicopathological and survival data of GIST mimicking as gynecologic mass admitted to our center from January 2005 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Thirty-eight patients were included. The most common primary tumor site was the jejunoileum (n = 33, 86.9%), and 33 patients (86.9%) were classified as high recurrence risk. The short-term outcomes of operative incision length (P = 0.004), time to gas passage (P = 0.002), and hospital stay (P = 0.012) with laparoscopy-assisted resection were significantly shorter than those with open resection, showing no significant differences of long-term outcomes. With a median follow-up of 56 mo for 31 patients (81.6%), 18 (58.1%) received adjuvant therapy with imatinib. The 5-year disease-free survival and disease-specific survival of pelvic high-risk GIST was 37.0% and 48.3%, respectively; both were significantly lower than those of the other female high-risk group (both P Conclusions GIST mimicking as gynecologic mass is not uncommon, most originate from the jejunoileum and have a high risk of recurrence. Laparoscopy-assisted resection may be preferable for more favorable short-term outcomes. Compared with the other female high-risk GIST, pelvic high-risk GIST has a significantly worse prognosis; a longer duration of adjuvant therapy with imatinib than recommended may be beneficial.

The great challenge of remediation of chromite ore processing residue (COPR) lies in how to effectively eliminate or extract the highly toxic and mobile Cr(VI) incorporated in the solid sludge. This work developed a facile method to detoxify industrial COPR by using hydrothermal treatment assisted with sodium silicate (HT-Na2SiO3). The results reveal that Na2SiO3 greatly promotes the extraction of Cr(VI) in COPR. After the treatment, the Cr(VI) concentration in the leachate by toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) markedly decreased to 1.1 mg L−1, well below the regulatory limit of 1.5 mg L−1 (GB 16889-2008, China EPA). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) mapping confirm that neither Cr(VI) nor Cr(III) were detected on the surface of COPR after treatment. Further study reveals that in the hydrothermal conditions, SiO32- ions not only act as the anion exchange agent to delaminate layered phases in COPR like hydrotalcites to release the encapsulated Cr(VI), but also help to oxidize Cr(III) in COPR to soluble Cr(VI), both of which distinctively increased the leaching of chromium from COPR. This study provides a novel strategy for both COPR detoxification and recovery of Cr(VI) for resource recycling.

In the past few decades, nanomaterials have attracted great attention as promising adsorbents for the recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) from wastewater. However, there are still some shortcomings in the application of nanomaterials to the adsorption of REEs, such as poor mechanical properties, easy collapse of structure, and difficulty in collection in practical application. In this study, sodium alginate supported nano-Mg(OH)2 (SA@Mg(OH)2) composite beads were prepared by adding Ca2+ as a cross-linking agent in a mixed suspension of sodium alginate and synthesized flower-like nano-Mg(OH)2, and were applied to remove and recover the low-concentration REEs from water. The analysis of the phase component and micromorphology of the composite beads revealed that the nano-Mg(OH)2 maintained a flower-like structure and distributed homogeneously throughout the sodium alginate beads. The adsorption experiments showed that the SA@Mg(OH)2 can fully adsorb Eu(III) with an adsorption capacity up to 394.61 mg/g, and keep a good mechanism performance after adsorption without collapse of the structure. Therefore, the excellent performance of SA@Mg(OH)2 indicates that loading environmentally functional materials on sodium alginate is a promising method to accelerate the environmental application of nanomaterials in wastewater treatment.

In this paper, a class of memristor-based time-delay fractional-order neural networks has been investigated. Through constructing Lyapunov functional and applying the Gronwall’s integral inequality, new criteria to guarantee the global Mittag–Leffler stability have been proposed for the addressed neural networks. At the same time, by employing contraction mapping principle, sufficient conditions for ensuring the existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium point are also presented. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectivity and feasibility of our results.

The high value rare earth elements (REEs) recycling from wastewater remains a great challenge. In the present work, biological calcium carbonate (bio-CaCO3) was functionalized by mussel-inspired polydopamine (PDA) chemistry to improve its Eu(III) adsorption in aqueous solutions. The functional groups of the organic matters in bio-CaCO3 that served as both reductant and coupling agent were found to be able to effectively inhibit the auto-oxidation of PDA in alkaline environments, rendering a uniform and tight PDA coating on bio-CaCO3. The batch experiments indicated that the mussel-inspired PDA functionalized bio-CaCO3 (bio-PDA) exhibited superior Eu(III) adsorption capacity in aqueous solutions. The adsorption isotherm was fitted well with the Langmuir model, and the maximum adsorption capacity was determined to be 151.52 mg/g. The adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second-order model, suggesting that the adsorption was chemisorption. Based on the scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic (XPS) analyses, the possible Eu(III) adsorption mechanism of bio-PDA was proposed as the coordination of Eu(III) with the abundant catechol and amine/imine groups on the PDA coating. Our work has demonstrated great application potentials of bio-PDA as an efficient Eu(III) adsorbent and provided new insights into the interaction mechanism between PDA and Eu(III).

We demonstrated an effective method of Ar surface plasma treatment (SPT) to improve the resistive switching (RS) uniformity of HfO2−x based resistive random access memory (RRAM) device. More importantly, the operation of multilevel RRAM and low power consumption can be further achieved by reliable RS, which enabled to obtain five distinguishable low resistance states and can be operated with a low power consumption of ∼30 pJ. The results of atomic force microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis confirmed that the Ar SPT induced more oxygen defects and higher roughness on the surface, which decreased the migration barrier of oxygen migration and some tips below the electrode. Eventually, a moderate forming process and local electric-field enhancement around these tips were obtained, accounting for the improvement of RS uniformity. This method could be promising to develop RRAM with high uniformity for the low-power multilevel memory applications.

Struvite precipitation is a promising strategy for the simultaneous recovery of nitrogen and phosphorus from waste streams. However, waste streams typically contain high amounts of metal contaminants, including Ni, which can be easily sequestered by struvite, but the behavior of Ni during struvite precipitation remains unclear. Thus, this study investigates the influence of Ni concentrations on struvite precipitation. The quantitative X-ray diffraction (QXRD) results revealed that the purity of struvite decreased from 96.6 to 41.1% with the Ni concentrations increased from 0.1-100 mg·L

High-level arsenic-containing wastewater (HAW) causes serious environmental pollution. Chemical precipitation is the most widely used technology for treating HAW. However, chemical precipitation generates huge amounts of hazardous solid wastes, which leads to secondary pollution. In this work, an efficient method, producing no secondary pollution was developed for one-step complete removal of As(V) from HAW using a hazardous solid waste namely arsenic-bearing gypsum (ABG). After the treatment, ABG was transformed into highly stable and environment-friendly mineral Johnbaumite. Meanwhile, the arsenic concentration in the wastewater decreased from 10,000 mg L−1 to 0.22 mg L−1 under optimized hydrothermal conditions (ABG dosage of 50 g L−1, solution pH of 13.5, temperature of 150 °C for 12 h). The mechanism mainly included the following processes: (i) The phase transformation of ABG resulted in the release of calcium and hydrogen arsenate ions in ABG, (ii) Hydrogen arsenate ions transformed into arsenate ions in alkaline environment, and (iii) Under alkaline conditions, calcium ions combined with arsenate ions to form Johnbaumite, whereas the hydrothermal conditions accelerated the crystal growth of Johnbaumite. This study provides a new idea for the synchronous treatment of toxic heavy metal-containing wastewaters and hazardous solid wastes.

As to spent fuel reprocessing in the nuclear industry, disposal of iodine-containing silver silica gel (AgIs) is a challenge. Method for immobilizing AgIs with the B-Bi-Zn glass powder at low temperatures has been applied to cope with this dilemma. In ingredient analysis, only diffraction peak of AgI can be detected in the sintered samples. In addition, the element analysis confirmed the existence and distribution of AgI in the solidified matrix. According to leaching experiment, low leaching rate (10−6) demonstrated that the sintered body possessed good chemical stability in liquid circumstance. Based on the research statistics, quality loss ratio of sample (98.58 g) sintered at 600 °C under the gas pressure sintering was merely 1.61%. Meanwhile, the quality retention proportions of AgI and raw powder from thermogravimetric analysis were certified as 98.09% and 96.19% respectively at 600 °C. Therefore, this study comprehensively proved the glass powder curing prospective for AgIs disposal.

In this work, we demonstrated an effective method to improve the switching reliability of HfOx based RRAM device by inserting mountain-like surface-graphited carbon (MSGC) layer. The MSGC layer was fabricated through thermal annealing of amorphous carbon (a-C) film with high sp2 proportion (49.7%) under 500 °C on Pt substrate, whose characteristics were validated by XPS and Raman spectrums. The local electric-field (LEF) was enhanced around the nanoscale tips of MSGC layer due to large surface curvature, which leads to simplified CFs and localization of resistive switching region. It takes responsibility to the reduction of high/low resistance states (HRS/LRS) fluctuation from 173.8%/64.9% to 23.6%/6.5%, respectively. In addition, the resulting RRAM devices exhibited fast switching speed ( 104 s at 85 °C) and low cycling degradation. This method could be promising to develop reliable and repeatable high-performance RRAM for practical applications.

As a kind of inorganic luminescent material, the glasses doped rare earth ions have presented significant application in the field of white-light lighting and display. Herein, we successfully prepared a new kind of phosphate glass co-doped Tm2O3 and Dy2O3. In the case of a certain Dy2O3 concentration, the bulk densities of phosphate glasses increased with increase in Tm2O3 concentrations, while the variation in molar volume was opposite. As for the optical absorption spectra, seven absorption peaks can be clearly found in the range of 300 nm to 750 nm, based on the absorption spectra, the calculated J-O parameters followed the tendency of Ω2 > Ω6 > Ω4. Besides, four emission peaks were evidently found under 350 nm light excitation, which were located at 454, 484, 575, and 665 nm, respectively. As the working temperature was about 150°C, its photoluminescence intensity can still maintain 81.39% of the initial photoluminescence intensity. Meanwhile, the fluorescence lifetimes of glasses gradually decreased with the increasing of Tm2O3 concentrations, and the date of CIE coordinates and CCTs were recorded to confirm that the glass doped 0.4 mol.% Tm2O3 exhibited excellent comprehensive properties, such as suitable chromaticity coordinates (0.3505, 0.3790), low CCT (∼ 4899K

The layered GaS has attracted much attention in the field of photodetection recently because of its considerable responsivity (∼A/W) caused by the high quantum yields, while its slow response speed (∼ms) due to the low carrier mobility limits its practical applications. Here, by separating a few-layered GaS (∼15 nm) with its substrate to prepare a device with the typical suspended architecture, we trade off its responsivity with speed for the first time. A responsivity of ∼ 103 A/W and a switch time of ∼ μs are achieved simultaneously in a wide UV–vis range (300–628 nm), which exceeds that of the most current 2D material-based photodetectors. The excellent mechanical stiffness of layered GaS avoids the interface scattering and trap caused by the contacting with substrate or its own deformation. This is beneficial to the significant improvement of carrier mobility and fully activating the intrinsic properties of GaS. Combined with the comparative experiments and band theory analysis, this assertion is confirmed and the photoconductance effect is determined to play a dominant role. These results show a promising strategy for improving the performance of GaS photodetector, especially providing references for its future integrated devices.

Arsenic-bearing lime-ferrate sludge (ABLFS) is a common hazardous waste from nonferrous metallurgical industry. The leaching of arsenic from ABLFS during waste storage and disposal causes serious environmental pollution. In this study, a new method was developed to effectively stabilize arsenic in ABLFS by treating ABLFS with combined zero valent iron (ZVI) and hydrothermal treatment. The treatment converted the unstable arsenic adsorbed or complexed on ferrihydrite into well-crystallized lattice form in a highly stable natural mineral, Johnbaumite. When treated under the optimum conditions (ZVI dosage = 0.1 g/g-sludge, hydrothermal treatment at 150 °C for 12 h), the leachable arsenic concentration was decreased from 22.4 mg/L for untreated ABLFS to 0.015 mg/L, which is far below the Chinese regulatory level of 2.5 mg/L. XRD, FTIR, and TEM analyses were carried out to understand the phase evolution and the underlying arsenic stabilization mechanism. The results revealed three key steps: (i) ZVI-mediated reaction with arsenic-laden 2-line ferrihydrite (Fh) leading to the release of arsenate ions, (ii) hydrothermally facilitated phase transformation of gypsum causing the release of calcium ions, and (iii) hydrothermally enabled formation and crystal growth of Johnbaumite. This work provides a promising treatment strategy for the safe disposal of ABLFS.

A high geothermal heat affects the physical properties of cemented coal gangue-fly ash backfill (CGFB). The mechanical properties, damage evolution, elastic modulus, and peak strain of CGFB under uniaxial compression were investigated at different curing temperatures (20℃, 35℃, and 50℃) and curing ages (3, 7, 14, and 28 days), and the stress-strain curves were obtained. The results show that the elastic modulus and peak strain of CGFB exhibit an increasing overall trend with a rise in the curing temperature; the 14th day of curing is the inflection point of the elastic modulus curve of the CGFB specimens. The theoretical results based on the piecewise damage constitutive model are in good agreement with the experimental results, indicating that the model is reasonable. Four damage stages of the CGFB are observed: no damage, initial damage formation, accelerated damage growth, and stable damage development. The CGFB specimens cured at 35℃ and 50℃ suffer complete damage, whereas the CGFB specimens cured at 20℃ are not completely damaged, with a damage value of only 0.5409. The damage trend under uniaxial compression indicates that the damage value increases slowly from 0 at the initial stress, rapidly increases after the peak stress, and increases slowly until the damage value reaches 1, and the CGFB suffers a complete failure. This paper lays a foundation for analyzing the stability of CGFB in a high geothermal environment.

Coal-fired slag concrete (CSC) is widely used in underground engineering construction. In this study, axial compression tests on three CSC groups with varying slag–cement ratios (1, 1.5, and 2) were conducted using an RLJW-2000 rock mechanics test system to characterize the internal mesostructure of CSC quantitatively and establish the constitutive relationship of CSC. The relationship between the fractal dimension and compressive strength of the CSC was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the compressive strengths of concrete with slag–cement ratios of 1, 1.5, and 2 were 27.3, 20.3, and 15.1 MPa, respectively, and the corresponding internal mesostructural dimensions were 1.837, 1.897, and 1.905, respectively. The compressive strength of CSC gradually decreased with an increasing slag–cement ratio. The fractal dimension described the microstructural development of the CSC and was negatively correlated with the compressive strength. The theoretical results obtained using the improved segmental CSC constitutive model were consistent with the experimental results, and the degree of fitting exceeded 0.99. These results form a theoretical basis for future studies on CSC.

High environment temperatures in deep coal mines may affect the strength and stability of cemented Coal Gangue-Fly Ash Backfill (CGFB). This study aimed to analyze the consequences of temperature on the physical and mechanical properties and microstructure of CGFB. Uniaxial compression tests were carried out on CGFB specimens at different curing temperatures (i.e., 20℃, 35℃, and 50℃) and curing ages of 3, 7, 14, and 28 days. The moisture content of CGFB specimens was tested by the drying method. The microstructure and mineral composition of CGFB specimens were measured by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric-Differential Scanning Calorimetry (TG-DSC), Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry (MIP), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results show that temperature has a significant effect on the strength and microstructure of CGFB. Higher curing temperatures can speed up the hydration reaction rate and generate more hydration products, making the pozzolanic effect of fly ash occur earlier. Early compressive strength of CGFB specimens increases, but later compressive strength decreases due to the decrease of the bonding of the internal structure due to the thermal damage. The change of curing temperature will lead to the change of failure mode of CGFB specimens. The failure mode of CGFB specimens changes from tensile failure at 20℃ to tensile-shear mixed failure at a higher temperature (35℃, 50℃). Under the influence of temperature, among the two physical property parameters (i.e., porosity and moisture content of CGFB), the porosity can better reflect the mechanical behavior of the backfill. This study provides a reference value for guiding filling in high ground temperature coal mine.

Increasing attention is being paid to the clean and efficient mining and utilization of coal resources. Lignite is a major component of coal; however, its high moisture and volatile contents and low calorific value cause it to have low mining and utilization efficiencies. During the dehydration, upgrading and in-situ heat injection or underground coal gasification of lignite, its pore structure plays an important role in the pyrolysis and product transfer processes. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically study the high-temperature pore structure of lignite. The evolution of pore fissures in gas-pyrolyzed lignite was studied by nuclear magnetic resonance combined with a gas heating reactor and test device. We found that the total connectivity, porosity and permeability of lignite increased between temperatures of 25 °C and 250 °C, then decreased at 350 °C and increased again at 450 °C. At 450 °C, the porosity, effective porosity and permeability of lignite were 18.32%, 30.22% and 856.98 md, respectively. The evolution in the pore structure parameters of lignite with temperature was observed to determine the changes in seepage channels that occur during the processes of lignite mining and utilization.

The precursor status is critical in obtaining high-quality CZTSSe absorbers for direct solution coating method. Here, the ultraviolet-ozone (UV-ozone) oxidation is introduced during precursor film preparation based on DMSO/DMF solutions. It was found that exposing precursor films in ultraviolet ozone with proper duration before selenization treatment effectively reduces the organic residues stemming from solvent and/or component sources. Comparing with the untreated reference sample, the crystallization and morphology of CZTSSe layers with UV-ozone treatment are evidently improved, leading to enhanced carrier lifetime and solar cell device performance. This work provides a feasible way to solve the common problem involving organic residues during CZTSSe layer preparation via a non-hydrazine solution process.

All inorganic lead halide perovskite nanocrystals with excellent photoelectric characteristics as one of attractive new photoelectric materials are capable to apply in a variety of optoelectronic devices, but their instability and toxicity strongly impedes biological application. Herein, a novel approach of combining physical loading with hydrolytic packaging was exploited to firstly implant CsPbBr3 nanocrystals (NCs) and Fe3O4 quantum dots (QDs) into the mesoporous polystyrene microspheres (MPSs), then a silica shell layer was further coated on it to form the stable, safe and non-toxic (CsPbBr3/Fe3O4)@MPSs@SiO2 magneto-optical microspheres. The double core-shells packaging way not only improves the stability of the magneto-optical microspheres, but also avoids direct contact between CsPbBr3 NCs and biological target such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs) to solve the problem of heavy metal Pb in such material system. These magneto-optical microspheres can capture CTCs from both breast cancer cells (MCF-7) and lung cancer patient's blood in a few minutes. This work created a simple, safe and one-step method to identify and capture CTCs, which opens a new chapter for the application of lead halide perovskite in the biological field.

One diode-one resistor (1D1R) memory is one of effective architectures to suppress the crosstalk interference of crossbar network. The conventional 1D1R device usually consists of a stack of sandwich-structure memory and pn junction diode. Herein, we demonstrated a 1D1R device based on a single-stacked p -NiO/n + -Si heterostructure, and its structure and fabrication process are greatly simplified compared with those of multilayer 1D1R devices. Studies on electrical transport properties reveal that the p-type NiO film not only serves as a resistive-switching layer, but also combines with n-type Si to form a pn heterojunction diode. Due to the existence of the built-in electric field, it can neutralize the applied external electric field and the nanoscale conducting filaments (CFs) are only confined to the outside of depletion region of NiO/Si pn junction. Thus, the formation of CFs does not degrade the diode quality, which allows the coexistence of resistive-switching and rectifying behaviors.

Mg–Al–Cl layered double hydroxide (Cl-LDH) was prepared to simultaneously remove Cu(II) and Cr(VI) from aqueous solution. The coexisting Cu(II) (20 mg/L) and Cr(VI) (40 mg/L) were completely removed within 30 min by Cl-LDH in a dosage of 2.0 g/L; the removal rate of Cu(II) was accelerated in the presence of Cr(VI). Moreover, compared with the adsorption of single Cu(II) or Cr(VI), the adsorption capacities of Cl-LDH for Cu(II) and Cr(VI) can be improved by 81.05% and 49.56%, respectively, in the case of coexisting Cu(II) (200 mg/L) and Cr(VI) (400 mg/L). The affecting factors (such as solution initial pH, adsorbent dosage, and contact time) have been systematically investigated. Besides, the changes of pH values and the concentrations of Mg 2+ and Al 3+ in relevant solutions were monitored. To get the underlying mechanism, the Cl-LDH samples before and after adsorption were thoroughly characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. On the basis of these analyses, a possible mechanism was proposed. The coadsorption process involves anion exchange of Cr(VI) with Cl − in Cl-LDH interlayer, isomorphic substitution of Mg 2+ with Cu 2+ , formation of Cu 2 Cl(OH) 3 precipitation, and the adsorption of Cr(VI) by Cu 2 Cl(OH) 3 . Currently, unsatisfactory optical stability and toxicity of all-inorganic lead halide perovskite (CsPbX3, X = Cl, Br, and I) quantum dots (QDs) with excellent photoelectric properties is a major obstacle for their practical application. In this work, the CsPbBr3 QDs were assembled into SiO2 shell via nonpolar solvent synthesis, and monodisperse CsPbBr3@SiO2 nanocomposites (NCs) with high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of ~87% were successfully prepared. Moreover, the introduced hydrophobic and multibranched trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) effectively suppressed the hydrolysis rate of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), resulting in the formation of core@shell NCs at a nanoscale-particle level. Benefiting from the protection of TOPO and SiO2 shell, the CsPbBr3@SiO2 NCs exhibit remarkably improved stability against thermal treatment, UV irradiation and water compared to the bare perovskite-QDs. Notably, the anion-exchange reaction among different perovskite-QDs was completely inhibited. To improve stability of iodide-substituted perovskite-QDs and expand emission wavelength, the CsPbBr0.6I2.4@SiO2 NCs with PLQY of 75% were also successfully prepared by similar strategy. White light-emitting-diodes (WLEDs) were designed by combining CsPbBr3@SiO2 NCs with CsPbBr0.6I2.4@SiO2 NCs onto blue GaN chips. Bright white-light with high color-rendering index of 90 and luminous efficiency of 80 lm W−1 were achieved from these WLEDs, indicating the synthesized perovskite NCs possess huge potentiality in displays and solid-state lighting.

Rational assembly of small-sized photosensitizers onto 2D semiconductors can effectively promote the photocatalytic activity of the formed 2D heterojunction photocatalyst due to the hetero-interfacial charge-transfer process. However, the achievement of the 2D semiconductor-based heterojunction photocatalyst with the exposures of both abundant light-harvesting and catalytic sites at the hetero-interface region is still a huge challenge. Herein, we synthesized phosphotungstic acid/graphitic carbon nitride (HPW/g-C3N4) heterojunction nanosheets (NSs) with the highly-dispersed distribution of ultra-small HPW clusters (1∼2 nm) by using a facile self-assembly method based on the static adsorption-deposition process. The formed molecular-scale hetero-interface between HPW clusters and g-C3N4 NSs resulted in the exposure of abundant active-sites on the highly-dispersed HPW/g-C3N4 hetero-interface. By combining the steady-state and transient photoluminescence spectra with the wavelength-controlled experiments, we demonstrated that the hetero-interfacial charge-transfer process occurring in the HPW/g-C3N4 heterojunction NSs obeyed the Z-scheme mechanism rather than the common “type-II” heterojunction mechanism. In this way, the lifetimes of photoinduced electrons on the conduction band of g-C3N4 could be prolonged for initiating the photocatalytic solar-to-fuels conversion. Upon interband excitations of both the two hetero-components in the HPW/g-C3N4 heterojunction NSs, the photocatalytic activities of H2 generation and CO2 reduction could be enhanced by ∼2.2 and ∼6.7 times as compared to the pure g-C3N4 NSs, even though the HPW component was photocatalytic-inert for either H2 generation or CO2 reduction upon UV–vis light irradiation.

As a kind of rare earth luminescent material, the development of white light-emitting glass cannot be ignored. Here, we successfully prepared series of Tm3+-Dy3+ co-doped P2O5-SrO-BaO-ZnO glasses. Structural analysis showed that the glass network is mainly composed of orthophosphate, pyrophosphate, and metaphosphate units. In the case of a certain content of Tm3+ or Dy3+, the densities of PSBZ glasses increased with the increasing of Dy3+ or Tm3+ content. From the optical absorption spectra, eight distinctive absorption bands can be found in the wavelength of 300 nm–750 nm. Under the excitation of 354 nm UV light, four main peaks corresponded to the transition of 1D2 → 3F4 and 4F9/2 → 6HJ (J = 15/2, 13/2 and 11/2) were found at 452 nm, 483 nm, 574 nm, and 663 nm, respectively. Besides, the CIE chromaticity coordinates, CCTs, and fluorescence decay curves were recorded to confirm the glass Tm0.4Dy1.0 showed excellent chromaticity coordinates (0.3392, 0.3334), suitable CCT (5188K) and relatively high fluorescence lifetime (434.68 μs) compared to other glasses prepared in this work, indicating that this glass has potential applications in WLED devices.
