Apartment developer Mark Wood's persistence enabled him to land the $4.5-million financing deal that he needed for his expansion project in Short North, Columbus. Heartland Bank approved lending to the Wood Cos. after ascertaining that the engineers and architects that will be involved in the project to add three floors of apartment in a building are insured.

Florida Hospital has continued the other two pieces of its 172-acre, mixed-use Health Village in north Orlando, Florida. Chuck Hammel, in partnership with McCaffrey Interests Inc., intends to develop a 90-unit, four-story apartment building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Strip District.
