ECONOMIC elites , *EDUCATIONAL change , *POWER (Social sciences) , *SOCIAL problems , *POLITICAL elites , *SYSTEM failures , *NEOLIBERALISM - Abstract
The objective of this essay is to analyze educational reform in Mexico through the shared interests of the economic elites and the political class. Authoritarian neoliberalism is examined using a qualitative methodology of exploratory and descriptive nature. The concept of authoritarian neoliberalism posits that we are living a stage of capitalism in which states have augmented their authoritarian features in decision making, without the consensus of the population, to reinforce processes of capital accumulation. This has allowed them to generate legal scaffolding and reinforce the repressive apparatus to immunize themselves against social protest, renouncing negotiation and co-optation. All this has been done in alliance with the economic and financial elites. The results show that the educational reform was imposed by the economic elites in an agreement with the political power, without any negotiation with the teachers. With the help of the mass media, teachers were blamed for the failures of the educational system, creating a climate of lynching, especially against those who went out to demonstrate in public. We conclude that the educational reform and its imposition -far from aiming at educational quality-sought to control the teaching profession and consolidate the precarious labor conditions that are characteristic of the neoliberal model.

- Abstract
The problems that afflict the world today cause a variety of individual/society imbalances, with emotional manifestations that are sometimes critical. Faced with this problem, the work Fragments proposes to contribute to raising awareness about the possibility of facing and healing from emotional problems, from the understanding of resilience and change, with a view to a life with well-being. To this end, a contemporary installation visual proposal is used to facilitate the viewer's transit through three successive spaces, which symbolically represent the stages of fall, struggle and rebirth, typical of any confrontation with situations of anguish or trauma. The sensation of falling develops the ideaof spiritual and emotional fragmentation; the fight is depicted in a space that visually illustrates confusion and anger; and rebirth reflects the notion of improvement, triumph and happiness. The above, conditioned by the combined use of photography, sculpture and sound. The aesthetic experience is deeply emotional and fosters a moment of empathy and human solidarity.

- Abstract
Intimate partner violence currently constitutes a recurrent challenge for public health, manifesting with considerable frequency. This can be perpetrated by both men and women and can have serious consequences for the physical and mental health of the victims. Intimate partner violence has been inadequately addressed in research and analysis, especially in adolescent and young populations in the Ecuadorian context. Therefor, this study aims to describe the constitutive domains of intimate partner violence in students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Cuenca-Azuay, during the 2023-2024 period. The study adopts a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design. The population consisted of 67 seventh-semester law students from the Faculty of Law. A sociodemographic survey was used, and the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO) was employed to assess violence within romantic relationships. In conclusion, the results revealed the presence of detachment and coercion at a mild level as the domains with the highest prevalence in this study.

The present study aims to analyze the socio-spatial determinants influencing the perception of insecurity among the Sociology department's university community. It is a cross-sectional study applied to the entire population of students enrolled from the third to the ninth cycle; for the faculty, a convenience sample was applied to twelve out of the eighteen. The technique used was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire that gathered information on perceptions of insecurity, fear of crime, and socio-spatial determinants. The results reveal that the student population has a high perception of insecurity at night, both around and within the campus; moreover, the main socio-spatial determinants influencing this perception are access control, maintenance, and surveillance. As for the perception of the faculty, no perception of insecurity was detected during the afternoons or mornings, but it was present at night. Similarly to the case of the students, the main socio-spatial determinants influencing the perception of insecurity among this population are access control and surveillance.
