Clinical pharmacology is an important discipline that bridges clinical medicine and pharmacology. In the teaching practice, it is necessary to keep up with educational reform and adopt the seminar teaching method combined with case-based learning (CBL), so as to practically improve the benefits of both 'teaching' and 'learning'. The teaching of ideology and politics in the curriculum is the key to cultivate students' high sense of responsibility and noble medical ethics, and realize the goal of moral education. At present, in the teaching of clinical pharmacology of antineoplastic drugs, there are problems such as students' weak basic knowledge of oncology pharmacology, separation of 'teaching' and 'learning' due to the traditional teaching method, outdated teaching materials, and low motivation of students. Therefore, this paper takes this part of the course teaching as an example to initially explore the role of the innovative model of 'Seminar-CBL-Ideological and Political Education ' in the teaching practice of clinical pharmacology, with the hope of stimulating the students' interest in learning, cultivating students' correct outlook on the world, life, and values, achieving the goals of 'teaching' and 'learning', and providing reference for optimizing clinical pharmacology education.

We previously reported that maternal alcohol use increased the risk of sepsis in premature and term newborns. In the neonatal mouse, fetal ethanol (ETOH) exposure depleted the antioxidant glutathione (GSH), which promoted alveolar macrophage (AM) immunosuppression and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections. In this study, we explored if oral liposomal GSH (LGSH) would attenuate oxidant stress and RSV infections in the ETOH-exposed mouse pups. C57BL/6 female mice were pair-fed a liquid diet with 25% of calories from ethanol or maltose–dextrin. Postnatal day 10 pups were randomized to intranasal saline, LGSH, and RSV. After 48 h, we assessed oxidant stress, AM immunosuppression, pulmonary RSV burden, and acute lung injury. Fetal ETOH exposure increased oxidant stress threefold, lung RSV burden twofold and acute lung injury threefold. AMs were immunosuppressed with decreased RSV clearance. However, LGSH treatments of the ETOH group normalized oxidant stress, AM immune phenotype, the RSV burden, and acute lung injury. These studies suggest that the oxidant stress caused by fetal ETOH exposure impaired AM clearance of infectious agents, thereby increasing the viral infection and acute lung injury. LGSH treatments reversed the oxidative stress and restored AM immune functions, which decreased the RSV infection and subsequent acute lung injury.

In view of the time-varying nature of the single-satellite mission in the mega constellation, the resulting overload, the vulnerability of a single node, and the high reliability requirements of the network control plane, the topology control of satellite networks for multi-layer and multi-domain mega-constellation was studied. A multi-layer and multidomain topology description model based on Beidou grid position code was proposed. Firstly, the concepts and definitions of layer, domain, slice and element were given to realize the unified characterization of the topological characteristics of satellite nodes and inter-satellite links, and to describe the connectivity state of satellite nodes and the network topology of the entire constellation. Secondly, a topology control architecture with the on-orbit controller as the core and the ground network control as the auxiliary, was designed to provide normal operation service guarantee. Finally, the simulation platform was used to verify and analyze the subdomain division and unified characterization of the megaconstellation. The results show that the proposed topology description model can improve the real-time and accuracy of the topology control process for mega-constellation satellite networks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To adapt to the complex and changing environment, the artillery often needs to be launched at different ambient temperatures, and different temperatures can have complex effects on the muzzle flow characteristics. It is crucial to fully understand the effect of ambient temperature on the muzzle flow field characteristics, which will help optimize the design of the propellant charge and improve the stability and consistency of the ballistic trajectory. Therefore, the internal and intermediate ballistic trajectories of the artillery are simulated to investigate the effect of ambient temperature on muzzle flow development and the phenomenon of secondary combustion. A set of internal ballistic equations is used to provide precise velocity and pressure as the projectile moves to the muzzle. By coupling the van der Waals gas state equation and a detailed chemical reaction kinetic model, the multispecies Navier–Stokes equations with complex chemical reactions were solved. The established numerical model is validated by comparing it with experimental results. The results demonstrate that the shock wave propagation speed gradually increases and the shock wave intensity gradually decreases with the increase in ambient temperature. The initial formation time of Mach disk lags, and the diameter of the Mach disk decreases with increasing temperature, while the displacement of the Mach disk increases with increasing temperature. The technical and economic comparison shows that the mechanical performance of steel box-steel plate composite beam is similar to that of steel box beam and obviously better than that of steel plate girder. The steel consumption and construction period of steel box- steel plate composite beam are similar to that of steel plate girder, and are significantly less than that of the steel box girder. Inner Mongolia traditional dairy products are high quality medium for lactic acid bacteria. In order to preserve lactic acid bacteria resources in camel dairy products in Alxa region of Inner Mongolia and study the microbial diversity, the pure culture method and metagomic sequencing technology were respectively used to evaluate and preserve. Metage-nomic results showed that the microbial diversity of fresh camel milk was significantly higher than that of sour camel milk, and 157 species were identified from 18 samples. Lactococcus lactis (13.22% ) and Acinetobacter guillouiae (10.65%) were the dominant species. The dominant species were Lactobacillus helveticus (72.66%), Lactobacillus kefi-ranofaciens (8.32%) and Lactococcus lactis (4.28%). A total of 121 strains of Lactobacillus were further isolated from the samples by pure culture and identified as 14 species of 4 genera, in which the dominant specie of fresh camel milk is Lactococcus lactis (62.00%). The dominant species were the Lactobacillus helveticus (40.00%) and the Lactobacillus ke-firanofaciens (19.00%), which were consistent with the metapomic results. The combination of metagomic sequencing and pure culture method effectively realized the microbial diversity analysis and Lactobacillus resource mining of camel milk samples, providing a theoretical basis for the industrial production of camel milk and the utilization of lactobacillus resources. A series of comb polymers poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA)-co-methacrylic acid (MAA)-co-methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylate (MPEGMA)) (poly(DMAEMA-MAA-MPEGMA, DMM) were synthesized and used as N-methyl-2-pyrolidinone (NMP)-based lithium iron phosphate (LFP) suspension dispersants. The effects of the grafting density of the carboxyl group as the anchoring group and the chain length of the side chain of PEG, which plays the role of spatial site resistance, on the rheological properties and suspension stability of the slurry were systematically investigated. By investigating the adsorption amount and thickness of DMM on the LFP surface, combined with calculations based on the scalar law and Flory theory, the molecular structure of the comb polymer dispersant was revealed to influence the adsorption and dispersion performance. The dispersion of LiFePO4 was due to the synergistic effects of adsorption and steric hindrance effect, which resulted that dispersants with medium carboxyl density and PEG side chain length can improve the dispersion performance and stability. The Modular and Integrated Data Assimilation System (MIDAS) software (version 3.9.1) is described in terms of its range of functionality, modular software design, parallelization strategy, and current uses within real-time operational and experimental systems. MIDAS is developed at Environment and Climate Change Canada for both operational and research applications, including all atmospheric data assimilation (DA) elements of the numerical weather prediction systems. The software is designed to be sufficiently general to enable other DA applications, including atmospheric constituents (e.g. ozone), sea ice, and sea surface temperature. In addition to describing the current MIDAS applications, a sample of the results from these systems is presented to demonstrate their performance in comparison with either systems from before the switch to using MIDAS software or similar systems at other NWP centres. The modular software design also allows the code that implements high-level components (e.g. observation operators, error covariance matrices, state vectors) to easily be used in many different ways depending on the application, such as for both variational and ensemble DA algorithms; for estimating the observation impact on short-term forecasts; and for performing various observation pre-processing procedures. The use of a single common DA software for multiple components of the Earth system provides both practical and scientific benefits, including the facilitation of future research on DA approaches that explicitly include the coupled connections between multiple Earth system components. To this end, work is currently underway to allow the use of MIDAS DA algorithms for initializing both deterministic and ensemble three-dimensional ocean model forecasts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Most annual studies of tintinnid and phytoplankton in coastal habitats are influenced by alien species introduced by water masses exchange, and therefore cannot be used as direct evidence for exploring the mechanism of annual succession in indigenous community. For brackish communities, very limited annual studies exist because of the difficulty of conducting stable sampling in the transition between freshwater and seawater. The special topography of Xiangshan Bay isolates the external water mass and provides a suitable habitat for exploring the annual succession mechanism of the brackish tintinnid community. In this study, samples were collected from seven stations in Tie Harbor, Xiangshan Bay (East China Sea) during 10 months from 2022 to 2023. A total of 23 tintinnid species of five genera were identified throughout the year. These tintinnid species can be clustered into four seasonal groups, winter, summer, autumn and spring-autumn, with three temperature preferences. The Lorica Oral Diameter (LOD) size-class of each tintinnid species, which determines the food item size of tintinnid, separated their different ecological niches within each seasonal group. Constructing a restoration strategy from bauxite residue to Technosols is a cost-effective and sustainable strategy for addressing the ecological and environmental issues caused by high alkalinity, salinity, and fine-grained bauxite residues. However, the quantitative contribution of restoration strategies on the upper bauxite residue-derived Technosols to the underlying untreated bauxite residue in the short term remains poorly understood. This study investigated the mediating mechanisms of vegetation and microbial metabolic effects on the alkalinity, nutrient content, and structure of the underlying bauxite residue (20-50 cm) through a simulated ecological reconstruction of the bauxite residue stockpile. Results indicated that implementing plant restoration strategies resulted in the content of polyphenolic compounds, lipids, tannins, and carbohydrates in bauxite residue dissolved organic matter (DOM) increased significantly from 52.5, 8.2, 3.3, and 2.0 % to 54.4, 10.4, 5.6, and 2.8 %, respectively, while the content of condensed aromatics, unsaturated hydrocarbons, and proteins/amino sugars decreased significantly from 15.5, 12.0, and 6.5 % to 12.1, 9.7, and 5.1 %, respectively. The newly produced molecules were concentrated in regions with low O/C and high H/C ratios, suggesting that short-term vegetation restoration strategies facilitate the transformation of substrate DOM towards easily decomposable and highly bioavailable substances. This led to the migration of the newly produced molecules to the underlying bauxite residue, and as a result, the protein and soluble microbial products of the underlying bauxite residue increased significantly, as well as the pH, exchangeable Na, and < 0.054 mm particles decreased from 10.2, 44.2 cmol kg -1 , and 28.1 % to 9.7, 27.1 cmol kg -1 , and 19.4 %, respectively, available nitrogen, urease, and 1-2 mm particles increased from 7.3 mg kg -1 , 0.2 U mg -1 , and 14.5 % to 7.6 mg kg -1 , 0.3 U kg -1 , and 21.7 %, respectively. We have experimentally demonstrated a constant envelope linear frequency modulated orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CE-LFM-OFDM) signal by employing an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal to phase modulate the linear frequency modulation (LFM) carrier. The experimental verification was conducted in the photonic-based integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system working at 94.5 GHz. In our system, a 10-km optical fiber and a 1-m free space transmission are incorporated, achieving seamless fiber-wireless networks. As a result, we achieved data rates ranging from 8 to 15.4 Gbit/s and range resolution ranging from 1.5 to 7.5 cm, respectively.

Congenital (cTTP) and immune-mediated (iTTP) thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura are serious and rare clotting disorders resulting from a deficiency in the ADAMTS13 enzyme. A systematic review was conducted using the Ovid ® MEDLINE & Embase databases to synthesize the epidemiology and burden of cTTP and iTTP worldwide (from January 1, 2010, to February 6, 2020, with an update that covered the period January 1, 2020-February 11, 2022). Outcomes of interest were incidence and prevalence of TTP, incidence of acute episodes, mortality, burden of illness (eg complications, healthcare utilization, patient-reported outcomes) and disease management. A total of 221 eligible observational studies were included. The incidence rate of acute episodes ranged from 0.19-0.35 person-years in adult patients with cTTP, and 1.81-3.93 per million persons per year for iTTP in the general population. Triggers of acute episodes were similar for cTTP and iTTP, with pregnancy and infection the most commonly observed. Exacerbation in patients with iTTP varied widely, ranging from 2.4-63.1%. All-cause mortality was observed in 0-13.4% of patients with cTTP, across studies and follow-up periods, and in 1.1% (median follow-up: 0.4 years) to 18.8% (1 year) of patients with iTTP during acute episodes. Cardiovascular, renal, and neurological disease were common complications. TTP also led to work disturbances, feelings of anxiety and depression, and general activity impairment. TTP treatment regimens used were generally reflective of current treatment guidelines. The evidence identified describes a high patient burden, highlighting the need for effective treatment regimens leading to improvements in outcomes. Considerable evidence gaps exist, particularly for disease epidemiology, patient-reported outcomes, costs of disease management, and associated healthcare resource utilization. Purpose: To explore the management improvement measures and application effects of reducing noise in postanesthesia care unit (PACU) based on Comfort Theory., Design: Randomized controlled clinical trial., Methods: A total of 1,300 patients who underwent general anesthesia or combined nerve block anesthesia and were transferred to the PACU in May and August 2021 were divided into a control group (630 cases) and a study group (670 cases) based on time. The control group received routine PACU management, and management based on Comfort Theory to reduce the noise in the PACU was implemented with the study group, including physiological comfort, psychological and spiritual comfort, social and cultural comfort, and environmental comfort. The overall noise level in PACU, retention time in PACU, incidence of nursing adverse events, and patient satisfaction were compared before and after implementation., Findings: In the observation group, the noise values of the four time periods in the PACU were significantly decreased, the retention time was (59.92 ± 22.0) minutes, the incidence of nursing adverse events and vomiting was 0.1%, and the patient satisfaction was 99.8%, which were significantly better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < .05)., Conclusions: The management of noise reduction in PACU based on Comfort Theory can significantly reduce the noise level in PACU, effectively shorten the PACU retention time, reduce the incidence of nursing adverse events, and improve the nursing satisfaction of patients., Competing Interests: Declaration of Competing Interest None to report., (Copyright © 2024. Risk assessment is a critical part of risk management for contaminated sites. However， in the specific management practice of As-contaminated sites， it is difficult to obtain realistic health risks for contaminated sites based on the total amount of pollutants and determined values of the model， thus preventing the control requirements of later remediation to be met. An increasing number of studies have recently been conducting risk assessments by considering bioavailability， modification parameters， and combined probabilistic models. To improve the accuracy of risk assessment results， taking a large As-contaminated site as a case， 432 sampling sites were set up and collected at different depths to analyze the level and distribution characteristics of As pollution， and probabilistic risk assessment was conducted with the modification of model parameters through literature research and Monte Carlo simulation. Then， the impact of traditional methods and probabilistic methods on health risk assessment was explored in comparison. The results indicated that ω （As） in the top soil of the study area ranged from 2.70-97.0 mg·kg -1 ， with a spatial variation coefficient of 0.61 and weaker spatial continuity. The carcinogenic risk and hazard index obtained by the traditional risk assessment method were 2.12E-4 and 8.36， respectively， which obviously overestimated the actual risk level and were not conductive to the refined management of As-contaminated sites. Combined with modification of model parameters and probabilistic risk assessment， the non-carcinogenic risk for adults and children was found to be at an acceptable level， and the carcinogenic risk was reduced by nearly an order of magnitude compared to that in the conventional method. Considering the relative biological effectiveness （RBA） of As， the 95% quantile of the total carcinogenic risk was 1.24E-5， a reduction of up to 36.41% compared to the uncorrected corresponding risk value of 1.95E-5. The carcinogenic risk of soil As for adults and children in the study area exceeded acceptable risk levels 1E-6， with oral ingestion of soil being the primary route of exposure. In addition， the results of the sensitivity analysis of the parameters showed that As concentration， daily oral ingestion rate of soils， and exposure duration of children had relatively larger effects for health risks. This work will provide a methodological and theoretical basis for achieving accurate risk assessment of As-contaminated sites and provide concepts for refined risk management.
