The article focuses on the development of portfolio management models, particularly regarding the revision process and methodology over finite time sets. An intertemporal transitionary model of portfolio management is derived through the extension of the previously cited Markowtiz-Sharpe paradigm. The underlying basis of the Markowitz-Sharpe model is reviewed along with description of the finite interval adaptations introduced. Empirical research of common stocks between 1957-1964 is also provided to evaluate the efficiency of the model.
