The article discusses about the Abraham Lincoln Battalion, an organization of U.S. volunteers supporting for the anti-fascist Spanish Republican forces in the Spanish Civil War as part of the International Brigade in Spain. In 1936, American volunteers began organizing and arriving in Spain wherein its members had increased dramatically. The European powers consisting the League of Nations Non-Intervention Committee prohibited foreign national volunteers.
