The article presents the study on the association of psychological characteristics with XYY sex chromosome complement, diagnosed in a State Mental Hospital. Seven of the nine propositi were legally classified as mentally defective and two were classified as mentally ill. The sampling procedure was used to control the effect of time since first admission on test responses. The researchers stressed that all psychological tests were administered individually by psychologists. Only very few significant differences between mean scores of the two groups on psychological tests were observed.
