Abstract
- The article offers a critical look on the responsibilities and role of the doctor concerned with the care of the people with mental disabilities. According to the authors, doctors have made an outstanding contribution to the improvement to the mentally handicapped. He opines that people are now looking at the inadequacy of past provision and are aware of the progressive doctrines of some already engaged in the care of such patients, doctors become much more conscious of how far they fall short of the standard of care that could be provided.
