UAV thermal infrared remote sensing technology, with its high flexibility and high temporal and spatial resolution, is crucial for understanding surface microthermal environments. Despite DJI Drones' industry-leading position, the JPG format of their thermal images limits direct image stitching and further analysis, hindering their broad application. To address this, a format conversion system, ThermoSwitcher, was developed for DJI thermal JPG images, and this system was applied to surface microthermal environment analysis, taking two regions with various local zones in Nanjing as the research area. The results showed that ThermoSwitcher can quickly and losslessly convert thermal JPG images to the Geotiff format, which is further convenient for producing image mosaics and for local temperature extraction. The results also indicated significant heterogeneity in the study area's temperature distribution, with high temperatures concentrated on sunlit artificial surfaces, and low temperatures corresponding to building shadows, dense vegetation, and water areas. The temperature distribution and change rates in different local zones were significantly influenced by surface cover type, material thermal properties, vegetation coverage, and building layout. Higher temperature change rates were observed in high-rise building and subway station areas, while lower rates were noted in water and vegetation-covered areas. Additionally, comparing the temperature distribution before and after image stitching revealed that the stitching process affected the temperature uniformity to some extent. The Yarlung Zangbo River Basin (YZRB), situated within the Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau, has experienced significant alterations due to global warming and vegetation greening. This region serves as a critical indicator of the interplay between vegetation growth and climatic fluctuations, as evidenced by substantial changes in spatiotemporal land surface temperature (LST) over recent decades. In this research, we assessed the components of the water and energy cycles from 1980 to 2015 utilising the variable infiltration capacity (VIC) model to generate a continuous daily LST data over a 35‐year period. Subsequently, we analysed the variations in LST and identified the influence of environmental factors on temperature changes. Notably, while greening was observed, LST exhibited an upward trend. By differentiating the effects of climatic and anthropogenic factors on LST, we found that climate was the predominant influence, accounting for a contribution rate of 70.36% from 1980 to 1995. In contrast, human activities became the primary driver of LST changes, contributing 55% after 1995. Grasslands with moderate coverage demonstrated potential cooling effects. Among the various environmental factors examined, albedo exhibited a negative and delayed impact on LST, while temperature, precipitation and evapotranspiration were positively correlated with LST, displaying relatively synchronous variations. Additionally, soil moisture and the normalised difference vegetation index (NDVI) were identified as leading contributors to positive changes in LST. Stripe noise is a general phenomenon in original remote sensing images that both degrades image quality and severely limits its quantitative application. While the classical statistical method is effective in correcting common stripes caused by inaccurately calibrating relative gains and offsets between detectors, it falls short in correcting other nonlinear stripe noises originating from subtle nonlinear changes or random contamination within the same detector. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel trend repair method based on two normal columns directly adjacent to a defective column to rectify the trend by considering the geospatial structure of contaminated pixels, eliminating residual stripe noise evident in level 0 (L0) remote sensing images after histogram matching. GF5-02 VIMI (Gaofen5-02, visual and infrared multispectral imager) images and simulated Landsat 8 thermal infrared sensor (TIRS) images deliberately infused with stripe noise are selected to test the new method and two other existing methods, the piece-wise method and the iterated weighted least squares (WLS) method. The effectiveness of these three methods is reflected by streaking metrics (Streaking), structural similarity (SSIM), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and improvement factor (IF) on the uniformity, structure, and information content of the corrected GF5-02 VIMI images and by the accuracy of the corrected simulated Landsat 8 TIRS images. The experimental results indicate that the trend repair method proposed in this paper removes nonlinear stripe noise effectively, making the results of IF > 20. The remaining indicators also show satisfactory results; in particular, the mean accuracy derived from the simulated image remains below a digital number (DN) of 15, which is far superior to the other two methods. Land surface temperature (LST) is a fundamental parameter in global climate, environmental, and geophysical studies. Remote sensing is an essential approach for obtaining large-scale and frequently updated LST data. However, due to the wide field of view of remote sensing sensors, the observed LST with diverse view geometries suffers from inconsistency caused by the thermal radiation directionality (TRD) effect, which results in LST products being incomparable, especially during daytime. To address this issue and correct current off-nadir LSTs to nadir LSTs, a semi-physical time-evolved kernel-driven model (TEKDM) is proposed, which depicts multitemporal TRD patterns during the daytime. In addition, we employ a Bayesian optimization method to calibrate seven unknown parameters in the TEKDM. Validation results using the U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) sites show that the RMSE (MBE) for GOES-16 and MODIS off-nadir LST products is reduced from 3.29 K (−2.0 K) to 2.34 K (−0.02 K), with an RMSE reduction of 0.95 K (29%) and a significant reduction in systematic bias. Moreover, the proposed method successfully eliminates the angular and temporal dependence of the LST difference between the satellite off-nadir LST and in situ nadir LST. Taking Huatailong mine in Tibet as an example, the latest network communication technology 5G was used to build a 5G+scraper unmanned system. Under the background of global warming, extreme flood disasters occur frequently, with a particularly significant impact on Xinjiang, which is located in arid and semi-arid regions. The risk of flood disasters in this region is significantly increased. In order to improve the flood disaster response capacity of Xinjiang Province, reduce losses caused by flood disasters, and provide an example for rivers in arid areas to respond to flood disasters, this paper selects Kushan River in Xinjiang to carry out flood process simulation research. Kushan River is located at the western edge of Tarim Basin in southern Xinjiang, which is a typical river in arid inland areas. This paper constructs a flood analysis and calculation model for the Kushan River, determines the key parameters and boundary conditions of the model. A typical flood is selected to validate the constructed model, and four indicators, absolute error (AE), relative error (RE), determination coefficient (R2), and Nash coefficient (NSE), are selected for model evaluation. The calculation results show that the average absolute error of water depth is 24.1 cm, the relative error is 24%, and the determination coefficient is 0.66. The Nash coefficient of flow is 0.86, and the determination coefficient reaches 0.97, indicating that the constructed model and parameter settings have high accuracy. Using high-precision river terrain, flood disaster risk survey results, remote sensing information, a basin data base is established to calculate the flood progression, inundation range, water depth distribution, and inundation duration of the Kushan River under five typical frequencies of 10 year, 20 year, 50 year, 100 year, and 200 year, achieving large-scale simulation of flood routing in arid areas of the entire basin. This article explores trajectory-following control for an unmanned aerial–aquatic vehicle (UAAV) navigating complex ocean disturbances and the interplay of air–seawater coupling factors. First, leveraging the backstepping technology, an adaptive algorithm is proposed to tackle the attitude and position following. Additionally, a nonlinear observer is crafted to estimate complex ocean disturbances. The UAAV model, characterized by six degrees of freedom (DOF) and nonlinear properties, experiences significant pose changes when emerging from water, underscoring the critical importance of precise pose control. Finally, stability analysis and numerical simulations are demonstrated to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed control strategies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
