In order to remain relevant, the role of leaders must be maximized in developing and advancing the human resources they have. This is still a problem with the leadership style applied in a business organization. The transformational leadership style is a solution to companies' anxiety in facing an increasingly dynamic and disruptive business environment. This research aims to find out how transformational leadership style can impact job satisfaction. The research method used in this research is a systematic literature review taken from 2018-2023. Core competencies have long been established in the competitive world of business and industry. These tenants lend themselves to individualization and branding, being exclusionary tools by their very nature. So how do core competencies fit in the world of libraries and information centers, particularly when considering potential employees? The concept of individual capacity is a better fit for information fields, being more inclusive and reflective of diverse knowledge bases and skillsets that working in this field requires. Juxtaposing the two, core competencies and individual capacity, will help us re-focus our efforts on user-centered information work rather than business rhetoric and conformity. Over the last several decades, the attention of scholars in the field of leadership in higher education (HE) has been rapidly growing. A corpus of literature on leadership research has established how leadership styles affect institutional performance, organizational commitment, culture, employees' motivation, effectiveness, retention, and job satisfaction. Although a considerable amount of research on how leadership is related to employees' job satisfaction across literature exists, however, little research has studied the influence of academics' perceived leadership styles on their job satisfaction in African countries and particularly in Tanzania. Drawing from Bass and Avolio's (1994) Full Range Leadership Theory (FRLT) and Herzberg's two-factor theory, the present study examined the association between academics' perceived leadership styles employed by either their deans or head of departments on their job satisfaction as measured by the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). The study was quantitatively driven with a cross-sectional survey design. A convenient sample of academics (N = 411) of which (Men: N = 310, Women: N = 101) from four Tanzanian universities responded to a Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5x short) and MSQ. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed by using SPSS version 25 to detect significant predictors of academics' job satisfaction. Results demonstrated that both perceived transformational and transactional leadership styles statistically significantly related to academics' job satisfaction over and above their marital status, gender, age, academic rank, and institutional type. Background: Leaders influence and inspire others, develop strategies, organize the work and coordinate resources. Leadership style may affect nurses' performance directly and it may have positive or negative effects on nursing performance. We investigated the relationship between transformational leadership (TL), job satisfaction, and organizational commitment (OC) in Jordanian nurses. Methods: The study utilized a correlational, cross-sectional design. A sample of 253 registered nurses was recruited using a convenience sampling method from two government hospitals in Jordan. The Global Transformational Leadership (GTL) scale, job satisfaction survey, and Organizational Commitment Scale (OCS) were used to collect the data. Results: A total of 253 participants completed the study. The results showed that there was a significant and positive association between TL and job satisfaction, (r = 0.297, P = 0.000). There was a positive relationship between TL and OC (r = 0.200, P = 0.001). Conclusion: Considering the outcomes of the current study, it can be concluded that transformational leadership is one of the important leadership styles that has the potential to support nurses and improved nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment in Jordanian hospitals. The current study tries to align various model of mediation through leadership styles (Transformational, Transactional), organization culture types (innovative, supportive and bureaucratic) with employees commitment thorough job satisfaction among the employees of government libraries from Khyber pakhtoonKhwa Pakistan. The data was collected through adopted construct from finite sample and it was analyzed through (Barron and Kenny) meditational procedure. Findings depict that employees commitment with job depend upon the leadership styles and it is positively mediated by their satisfaction from job. In contrast from three different cultural set up only bureaucratic cultural attribute shows significant relationship with employee's commitment through meditational role of employee's job satisfaction. Interestingly both supportive and innovative culture did not indicate the direct relationship with employee's commitment, nor does it support the meditational role of employee's job satisfaction. The role of nursing is crucial for providing required cure and care to patients in hospitals. The leadership style influence nurses working abilities and job related outcomes. Considering these arguments the present study aims at examining the relationship between nursing leadership styles (i.e. transactional and transformational) and job related outcomes (i.e. commitment with organization, satisfaction with job and work performance). To do this data was collected from 206 nurses working in different hospitals of Pakistan was collected. Descriptive and inferential statistical treatment was given to analyze the data. The results of the study revealed that both the leadership styles (i.e. transactional and transformational) positively and significantly correlated with work performance, organizational commitment and job satisfaction. On the other hand, regression analysis confirms that transformational leadership study has greater impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment as compared transactional style while, transactional leadership style has greater influence on work performance. Aims To examine the effect of transformational leadership on early career nurses' intent to stay, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Background Lack of leadership support is one of the top reasons staff nurses leave. Current studies reported mixed results about the impact of transformational leadership on key nurse outcomes. However, little is known whether leadership directly or indirectly affects satisfaction, organizational commitment and intent to stay. Design This study was a cross-sectional study of nurses who had been licensed for 7·5-8·5 years which was part of a 10-year longitudinal panel design. Methods The analytic sample was 1037 nationally representative newly licensed Registered Nurses. Data were collected from January-March 2013. We used a probit model to model the relationship between transformational leadership and intent to stay, organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Results Transformational leadership did not have a significant impact on intent to stay and job satisfaction, but significantly associated with organizational commitment. Organizational commitment, job satisfaction, mentor support, promotional opportunities and age were positively associated with intent to stay, while ethnicity, non-local job opportunities and work settings were negatively associated with intent to stay. Conclusions Transformational leadership had no direct relationship with intent to stay and job satisfaction and had a small direct positive effect on organizational commitment. Transformational leadership has potential to slow attrition and retain nurses by creating a positive work environment that supports nurses. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of different leadership styles on job satisfaction and organization commitment which are the most important and positive attitudes towards job and organization. For this purpose, a sample from medical staff was preferred in this field research due to the critical level of the sector and its employee quantity reached to. Analysis of there search conducted by survey method on 1785 medical staff who worked at private and government hospitals in Istanbul was performed through Structural Equation Modeling. Analyses results showed that there is a statistically significant effect of instrumental and transactional leadership on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, respectively. Transformational leadership does not have a significant impact on the positive attitude toward job and organization. Researchers have conducted a number of studies in order to demonstrate the effects of leadership styles on school outcomes. In these research studies, particularly, the full range of leadership styles have been used. The impact of transformational leadership, transactional leadership and laissez faire stated in this model on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of teachers were analysed. In this research study, it is aimed to determine the effect of leadership styles of school administrators on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of teachers using the method of meta-analysis. Twelve research findings made in Turkey were analyzed using the method of meta-analysis. The research results showed that particularly, transformational leadership style affected job satisfaction and organizational commitment of teachers in a positive way. It was concluded that as the leadership style of administrators changes from transactional to transformational, the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of teachers' rose. The effects of transformational leadership on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of public relations (PR) practitioners were examined within the context of PR companies in Taiwan. PR practitioners (600) were randomly selected from 159 PR firms located in Taipei and sampled. There were 305 usable questionnaires (50% validity rate). Regression analyses indicated that transformational leadership dimensions did have a significant impact on the job satisfaction of PR practitioners. Furthermore, in this study job satisfaction was found to be a mediator of the effects of transformational leadership on the organizational commitment of PR practitioners. The results of this study may provide a managerial reference to assist in enhancing the job satisfaction of PR practitioners as well as their commitment to the organization through improved organizational leadership.
